Oof. Little disappointed to discover potioncraft is basically an unfinished game. The start is fleshed out, and there's a couple of things unlocked after the first chapter, but other than the 'main quest' of completing stages to the philosophers stone, there's nothing. You only unlock one other potion base for the whole game. :/ I was hoping and hoping the whole time I was unlocking the chapters that there'd be at least one more potion base to use.

Awards 2024 : Video Games

Welcome to my very personnal and very biased Awards 2024!

First category: Video Games that I’ve played, usually to completion. I haven't played a lot of different games this year but here are the ones that stood out for me.

Best DLC Award - Suzerain: Kingdom of Rizia DLC

This time around, instead of leading as a president, you do so as a monarch. Like the base game, the story and characters are what stands out the most. The twists and turns lead to even more drama as you get to lead your kingdom towards democracy or absolutism.

Dissapointment Award - Dragon Age: The Veilguard

10 years of waiting. 10 years and the game is mid at best. Foregoing world states being the biggest mistake as it really makes you feel that nothing you did in the previous games matter. So dissapointing especially when coming from DA:Inquisition which managed to balance gameplay approchability, great characters and taking into account what you did previously thanks to The Keep. May The Maker help them not fuck it up for the next one.

Can't Wait For It To Come Out Award - Hades 2 (early access)

I looooooved Hades 1 and this is not only more of the same but the enhanced version. More gods, more maps, more gameplay, more mechanics, etc… I'm only hoping that we won't have to wait too too long for the final version to come out.

Best Cozy Game Award - Potion Craft : Alchemist Simulator

Playing alchemist with your little garden to take care of has never been so relaxing.

Best Game of the Year Award - Not for Broadcast: The Timeloop DLC

Technically a DLC but the care and attention put into it is worth this GOTY. Final content for the game, they went all out and used every bit of budget they had left and called basically everyone back from the cast. Mind bending at times and definitively funny, saying goodbye to news anchors has never been so emotional.
