It’s Morsestache Monday!

I love this scene.

The Morsestache is lush, vibrant and present, glowing in the fluorescent luminescence of his bunker and the vending machines. It’s a standalone character, part Tom Selleck, part Sean Connery, part Sweeney-era, all 1969.

The rest of Morse is tentative and shy, almost childlike, even a little apprehensive-not quite sure what response he is going to receive at this overture to resume their collaboration. 

For his part, Thursday is feeling his years, is embarrassed to find himself benched and demoted in front of his young protégé, and doesn’t quite know how to lead him with these debits on his ledger sheet.

Where you might expect at least a manly handshake, and a shoulder clap to reestablish connection, instead, you have a scene shot with a lot of vertical lines, indicating separation, distance, isolation, and a somewhat truncated, non-linear flow of conversation between them, with awkward gaps and silences, and unnatural speech patterns for them both. Fred doesn’t entirely turn around, and Morse hasn’t fully emerged from his cave. He reminds me of an eel, ready to dart back under a rock. We don’t see them truly face each other. They’re both protecting themselves.

It’s bittersweet and painfully awkward, as the two of them try to navigate this new reality without hurting the other or harkening back to better times which surely both of them miss terribly.

Apparently the illegal Hamilton church does a Jesus-ified show like that every year. Beauty and the beast where the beast gets saved is a memorable one

at first I thought this was a mixup with a different church that does an Easter play every year, that Jenny Nicholson did a video about, and which also did a Christian BatB recently

(I watched that breakdown too. I don't think they get what "string him up" means- it's specifically hanging, not just "affix a guy to any thing up in the air")

..... so what you're saying is that... you love an immortal, whose horrible, prolonged mistreatment in the past has left them marred irreversibly by their suffering, and not only does that fill you with a rage of which you didn't think yourself capable of experiencing, BUT you also feel as if you, even with your mortal vulnerability, are personally responsible for easing as much of their burden as you possibly can?

Have 2 pics bcs l couldn’t decide if I liked the top layer filter thingy or not. The concept was inspired by the fact I don’t sleep enough. (Heads up my pronouns are it/they hence the use of ‘it’ so often)

After suffering from so many sleepless nights, it finally gave in. It allowed the darkness to overtake them, hoping to finally end its sleepless suffering. But instead, the darkness consumed their soul, turning them into the thing everyone feared. It just wanted sleep, but alas, now they never will.

Now, instead of being tortured, tormented, and ridiculed by the monsters that go bump in the night, it became that very thing. Suffering more and more. Sleep now evading them for all eternity. Its red eyes pierce the darkness, shrouding those who see it in fear. Inky claws reach forward, yet they grasp at nothing, eventually scraping along the walls and floors.

It just wanted to sleep for fucks sake. But now. Now they’re the monster everyone will be raised to fear.

realzikng i have to settle for calling cypress a bg liker / saying she likes f6 bc explaining nospin in her lore would be too complicated 💔 its ok though the truth is she doesnt like f6 and sees them as a rival to nospin even though theyre entirely different industries bc nospins jp debut probably made her cry or something
