the addition of post insights to patreon is so weird and fascinating, I feel like there is truly no rhyme or reason to which posts people actually come look at
#with the exception of 'linking directly to a patreon post from somewhere else does actually work apparently'#(very much to my surprise tbh??)#but like-- day of the week I post? no obvious pattern of effect on views#time of day I post? no obvious pattern#post title? characters featured? exclusive vs public posts? sketches vs finished art??#on the one hand it's like-- well I have a pretty small sample size so there's probably just not enough people to form Group Patterns#but on the other hand all my patrons are friends of mine so in theory there could be extra data there I could intuit#like 'oh posts with X's characters/ campaigns consistently get more views I bet That Person checks their email' lmao#anyway it's-- kind of interesting but also a little annoying because it's not really actionable aahah#like this has nothing to do with tastes re: what I'm drawing it's literally just 'which posts have been looked at at all by somebody'#if they were all usually about the same that'd make sense but?? sometimes it varies WILDLY and I'm curious why#again if there even is any reason aside from 'coincidentally no one opened the email for that one' or whatever#is there any way I can increase my odds of people seeing the things I'm only sharing with a really restricted audience to begin with...#hmmm#about me#my art
