However, if you keep up with your healthier lifestyle, you will soon see the excellent weight loss results.
Apart from making you one happy mommy, pregnancy is also going to make you plumpy! While every mum can swear that it is not a cake walk to lose weight rapidly after you have just delivered a baby, mothers who have had a C-section find it all the more challenging. Given the many do’s and don’ts suggested out there for new moms who have undergone a C-section, it is indeed not simple for them to lose weight that easily.
So make sure you lose that pregnancy fat now; before it’s too late!
Plan Your Diet
Once you decide to start the fitness regime, make sure you plan everything. Ideally, you should first check with your doctor and then get on your weight loss routine. Your body needs time to recover from labour and other health changes that happen during the pregnancy. Exercise is a Must!
New moms find it difficult to take out some time for exercise. This is because they are sleep-deprived and the baby takes up most of their time. Since your body is still weak, it can undergo lasting damage if you strain them with heavy exercise. Try doing simple, low-impact exercises such as walking, cycling or swimming for 15 minutes a day, just three times a week. This should be sufficient to jumpstart calorie burn.
The Power of Breastfeeding
A study suggests that new moms who breastfeed their children have the ability to lose weight faster than those who don’t. However, this observation depends upon a lot of variables, one of them being the calorie intake by new moms.
Eat More, Weigh Less
It is important for new moms to eat meals at regular intervals accompanied by healthy snack options. Skipping a meal might affect their overall health, and might also slow down their process of losing weight.
Stay Hydrated
Drinking water helps you stay hydrated and also flush out unnecessary fats. Keep yourself away from aerated drinks, soda, and extra sugary liquids. Increase the amount of fruit and vegetable juices that not only help you lose weight faster but also provide you with other health benefits.
Wear a Postpartum Belt
Wearing a postpartum support belly belt can help tighten tummy muscles and play a vital role in flattening your flabby stomach. Those who’ve had C-section at least two or three weeks before and prefer something a bit easier to wear with slightly less constriction, a band-style belt may do perfectly well.
Catch on Your Sleep
If you are a mom, you must get at least seven hours of undisturbed sleep. Sleeping for less than 4-5 hours means increasing the possibilities to pile on additional fat reserves. Also, sleep deprivation causes the body to release an appetite-increasing hormone called Ghrelin. So, if your bundle of joy is keeping you awake at night, try and catch on to your sleep during the day.
Rapid Weight Loss Tips After Pregnancy
Eating well-balanced meals helps fasten your recovery post delivery. It will also help you keep up with the demands of being a new parent. It does not matter whether you are breastfeeding or bottle feeding, just choose to eat healthily. Make sure you opt for healthy snacks whenever you get hungry. It will help you increase your energy levels. Those who are breastfeeding will feel that they are getting hungry frequently. This is because your body is functioning extra hard to feed your newborn.
best shampoo and conditioner for hair over 50 http://www.weightlossforover50.com/best-shampoo-and-conditioner-for-hair-over-50/
These tips may help you reach and maintain a healthy weight post C-section: • Try saving some quite time for your meals, eat your food calmly. Skipping meals can often lead to reduced energy levels, which eventually makes it difficult for you to lose weight. Make sure to eat at least four-five portions of fresh fruits and vegetables in a day.Include plenty of foods that are loaded with fiber such as vegetables, brown rice, oats, lentils and grains in your diet. • Most families prepare some special high-calorie foods to give to women just after birth, such as panjiri and ghee-dry fruit laden sweet ladoos. Enjoy these tasty treats by balancing them with your meals. If you’re eating a low-calorie meal such as khichdi, or a brown rice pulav then you can have a high-calorie til ka ladoo at the end. • Keep track of your portion size during meal times. Mini healthy snacks are eaten often can help prevent overeating. • Drink plenty of low-calorie fluids like water, nimbu pani, coconut water, and fresh fruit juices. Lots of calories can be hidden in packaged juices, full cream milk, and soft drinks. • Breastfeed your baby. Experts say that exclusive breastfeeding makes it easier to regain your pre-pregnancy shape. • Keep an eye on the number and type of snacks you have between meals. Opt for healthy and filling snacks like salads, fruit platters or a glass of toned milk. You can also protein snacks like egg or paneer sandwich made with brown bread.
Once you become a new mother, a whole lot of new responsibilities come with your newborn. It often becomes difficult to find time to take care of yourself. But it is important to lose weight carefully and gradually. Being overweight may increase your risk of complications such as gestational diabetes in your next pregnancy.

The postpartum (post delivery) diet need not be complicated — It is just a mix of age-old remedies and home science (the art of cooking)
Generally postpartum mothers get lots of suggestions by relatives who are telling you what to eat. They insist on consuming age-old remedies, while you (the new mother) are clutching on to your doctor's advice of no green vegetables or fruits. Some of the most common problems are Iron deficiency, constipation and soreness , while expending more energy and needing more calcium. Weight gain during pregnancy is found to bother the new mothers a lot as they need to reshape their body and look fit. They are muddled of the choices of using age old traditional post-partum diet and the newly researched and innovative diet. The best path is to try out both sets of advice and see what works.
Major concerns of a postpartum mother is that she need to consume High calorie diet from good quality proteins, moderate fat with low or non saturated fat, high MUFA and PUFA cooking oil, high Iron. The most important consideration would be to have a safe, hygienic and unaffected food in terms of microbial growth.
Raise calorie intake (Protein Calories) Nutritionist Mrs.Neera Parmar, Assistant Professor ,Nutrition Biology and Freelance Nutritionist emphasises on the importance of wholesome light and frequent meals with no restrictions apart from oil and spice, unless the doctor says so specifically. "The mother needs extra energy, at least in the first six months, because she will be nursing the baby more often," and she also needs to shed off the extra saved fat in her body. "So she needs to eat more calories, the majority of them should come from good quality proteins having high biological value like eggs, nuts, dhals, skimmed milk etc., If you are a non-vegetarian,then you must consume chicken breasts and lean meat and avoid using red meat. try not to switch to a leafy vegetarian meal instantly. This will cause you more harm than good. You can try eating shredded meat in soups and broths without too much spice or oil.
Increased iron Since a new mother suffers from loss of blood during parturition, her iron levels should be properly balanced. Animal foods (Heme Iron sources) are always a good source of iron than Plant foods (Non Heme Iron Sources). As Iron is more abundant in animal foods than plant foods and also animal foods have high bioa vailability and are not inhibited by certain anti-nutrients like phytates, oxalates, phenols, tannins etc., unlike plant foods. A little spinach can go a long way but some good non heme sources (plant foods) are Bengal gram dhal, fenugreek leaves, dates etc., Nowadays iron fortified salts and breakfast cereals are trending the market .Mrs.Neera Parmar (Me) during research developed various wheat products which are iron rich using different food processing techniques.
Increase calcium intake Lots of calcium are needed during postpartum as there is need of calcium for two persons. New born being solely dependent on mother's milk for 6 months need calcium for bone strengthening and other neuro-muscular functions, Further to prevent deossification of mother's bone, she needs increased calcium intake. Thus during this period, intake of calcium increases 2.5X. Sources of Calcium are Milk and Milk products, Ragi (richest source of Calcium), wheat, Green Leafy Vegetables etc.,Garden cress seeds (aleev or haleem), are a rich source for calcium. Some mothers become lactose intolerant, and can't drink milk or eat milk products during this period. For them Soymilk is a good option.". Traditionally, these are made into sugar-rich ladoos. If you are being careful about sugar, make a haleem kheer."
Drink Plenty of Water Water and fluids are needed to artificially stimulate breast milk secretion. On an average a mother produces around 650-830 ml of milk daily. Also, new mothers tend to be a little scared of the pain and resist passing urine or stools, which can result in constipation and Hemorrhoids. Ordinarily, this can be resolved by medication, but because medicines will pass on the baby, it's better to take preventive action. For this inclusion of dietry fiber rich foods like whole graind and leafy vegetables, fruits and avoidance of refined foods and flours is beneficial. drinking plenty water is the best option. Ingesting fluids by drinking lots of soup, coconut water, broths, whole fruits, fresh fruit juices and milkshakes that are also easier to eat for the harried mother are found to be beneficial and have relieving effect. Fluids help flush out toxins and medication, and help stay oriented even with the lack of sleep that comes with parenting. Yoghurt is not only a stool softener but also has the probiotics essential for keeping Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) away and helps in maintaing good gut health. Edible gum balls (dink ladoos) are a good laxative because of their combination of ghee, edible gum and nuts.
