"Why didn't you do anything publicly?"
"I couldn't."
"Don't say that to me. I fought tooth and nail for everything we have achieved. We fought. And you didn't say a thing. You who can't keep your mouth shut for more than a second kept quiet. For three years. And you reappeared on TV after all of that, as if nothing happened. Why?"
"Because. I have the right to want not to spread my traumatic experience with the whole world."
"You had exposure. You had what we lacked."
"You. Of all people? You were famous before, you stayed famous, you have much more exposure than I ever had."
"You know what I mean. You have connections with the right people. You delve into high society. You're friend with money and power. You could've- I don't get why you showed some face here in the first place."
"Because."
"That's not an answer." [giggles] "Gosh, you're a piece of work."
"It's an art to be so fucked up."
"No doubt about it... Still. You funded our work, and I know it's you, there's no-one on this planet on their right mind giving so much money to such initiatives. Why didn't you say a thing? You let your mouth run usually. You could've yapped about something meaningful."
"What about what I wanted?"
"What?"
"I wanted not to be known nor associated with what we lived. People already treat me like an infant at best, a brat at worst. If they knew... Well. I've already walked the psych yard. I needn't people still talking to me as I am a fragile little creature."
"Nobody did that with me. And I am younger."
"You never got to be a child, let's be honest."
"Shut up, I'm well-aware."
"..."
"So what are you looking for here? You already stated you didn't want to be associated with this initiative, but you came and you're participating. How come?"
"I got bored with my life. Or it felt right. Or I needed to get it out of my system. Whatever sounds good enough for you."
"Alright, I get it, you won't say a thing, I get it, I get it. You're... forget about it. Cheers."

Broken Promises
After Teruya's death, Rei is left to cope. She reminisces about what he said to her in the helicopter after they escaped the first killing game.
- JUST BECAUSE I LOVE THESE TWO AND THEY'RE MY COMFORT SHIP, DOESN'T MEAN THEY AREN'T MY GO-TO ANGST SHIP. Take the ending as you will, because I didn't know how to end so i just let my fingers guide my lazy ass.
TW for teruya’s death, and broken promies, i suppose?
Rei sat in the helicopter, her hands balled into fists as her curly hair became messy from the wind. She barely noticed the merchant scooting closer to her. "Rei..?" Teruya whispered, leaning away slightly as the professor tensed and glared at him, her eyes filled with both fear and sorrow. It was the second time he'd seen her like this.
He exhaled slowly, leaning closer once more and looking up at her. "It's.. okay to feel sad. I saw how you were in that.. final trial... You were bottling those emotions up for so long... weren't you?" He began, his voice soft as he watched her look away.
"And you're.. probably blaming yourself too.. More than any of us.. And we both know why, so I won't be saying the reasons.. If I was in your shoes, i'd.. be blaming myself too... But I don't know as much about you as I'd wish.. And I'm not the smartest person.. but I do know it's okay to cry..! it doesn't make you weak, it doesn't make you weird.. It's normal, and it shows that you're human, and there's no reason for you to be treated different..! And so... If you want to cry, then cry..! No one is judging you..!" Teruya grinned nervously, reluctantly taking one of Rei's hands in both of his, looking her in they eyes with understanding.
Rei pulled her gaze and hand away, looking back out at the scenery as she relaxed. "...Thank you, Otori." "
And..! And..!" Teruya continued quickly, bouncing nervously. "I'll be by your side and support you no matter what! No matter how much you dislike me, i think you're amazing and smart and if we do work at this foundation, I promise to listen to you!"
Rei wiped away tears as she curled up on her bed, holding a teddy bear with a rainbow heart on it tightly. He promised her. He promised to listen, he promised to stay by her side. He promised. And now.... he couldn't keep that promise, and it was rei's fault. If she hadn't been so selfish on using the emergency code to get out of the killing game, Teruya would've lived a long life, like he deserved to.
Her eyes hurt as she cried a bit more, choking on sobs as she snuggled the bear. How was she supposed to do this? How was she supposed to handle another loss of a (former) classmate, and one that she had grown to love romantically? She choked back a sob as she heard the door open, releasing her grip on the stuffed toy as someone walked over and sat on the edge of her bed.
"Greetings, miss Mekaru... I was.. informed about what happened... And I saw that you and mister Otori were.. very close. So if I can do anything to help you in the slightest, please do inform me.." The voice of Doctor Hikaru Ando gently said. Why was he here? He shouldn't be wasting time on her. He had other people to tend to.
Nonetheless, Rei nodded, taking off her glasses and putting them on the bedside table, hands shaking no matter how much she willed them to stop. She soon felt the weight on her bed shift, and heard the door close, causing her inner dam to break and tears to continue streaming down her face as she let out pained sobs of guilt and sorrow. She should be worried about everyone else, but here she was, weakly curled into a ball on her bed with puffy eyes and red cheeks.
So when she finally stopped crying, she thought she was over it. There was no need to cry anymore. She let it all out. Rei was finished grieving. She would never shed a tear over it again, she had no need to. She was fine.
But then came the day of the funeral, where tears returned and she had to sit in her car. Rei didn't want to accept that Teruya was gone, didn't want to accept that the one person that she felt she saw in a romantic light had died, all because she was afraid of dying.
Teruya Otori's death was all her fault, and she needed to apologize for being selfish.

Pain is a great motivator…
Part 26 || First || Previous || Next
—Full Series—
Meanwhile Toriel:
Tumblr media
(Loud noises don't wake her up usually.)
Artist note: I’m so proud of this :))) I know it’s a lot of dialogue and reading, but dialogue is grueling work for me. I’m glad with the art and for the amount of pages I made in such a relatively short time span -w- page 5 was super fun to work on. A lot of blood, sweat, and hours here... :) The backgrounds were a big bore tbh, but I finished them! Yippie!

So does anybody else ever think about how Loop felt the need to demonstrate that the party's deaths wouldn't have any effect on the loops. I know I do but that's besides the point. Anyway I don't think Loop actually needs to bathe, they just like to feel included.
#'but lucabyte didnt you already do a comic with this exact same message? that loop has potentially killed their party intentionally before?'#yes i did absolutely do that thank you for noticing. that is what the cannibalism comic is about. no that was not a metaphor. lol#isat#in stars and time#isat spoilers#in stars and time spoilers#sifloop#isat siffrin#isat loop#in stars and time fanart#isat fanart#lucabyteart#ill ramble elsewhere some other time. maybe in a text post. but. long and short of it: even if you assume the answer to 'how do they know'#is that in sasasap isa got frozen once. theres still the fact that the loops are from sif being too distressed. how far gone does a siffrin#have to be before they can witness a party member die and notice it has no effect. how does loop feel to have planned to kill the party#during act 3. why did they NEED to show sif that. are they trying to preemtively stop them from getting the idea in their head#that maybe that might work? when they're out of all other options? when they just get so frustrated and at wits end?#loop helps in subtle ways through the whole game. and in less subtle ways like begging sif not to use the dagger. and while yes the#overarching reason you need to learn that the loops are tied to sif is because you need to figure out wish craft.... loop doesn't know the#actual mechanics of the loops themselves. just what didn't work. the power of friendship. getting the final hit in. being perfect. etc...#and besides all that.. how did loop feel during that hangout. being so deceitful. especially since before the other shoe drops#sif is enjoying themselves. but they know what's coming the whole time.#as for: why bathing? its the obvious imagery for blood on their hands/washing/never being clean. and is a bit of an inversion of the other#piece i just drew with the other casual closeness and nudity being kind. this one is cruel instead.#anyway tag ramble over ill do a masterpost of all my fanwork with some directors commentary sometime i promise. since i know im often vague

More on the Varric deaths stuff, two, as well as on DAII Exalted March and DA:I -
"This expansion was going to be called Exalted March, and here, Varric was going to finally step out from the interrogation room so we could play in the present day, so to speak. It was also here that Varric - in a climactic confrontation new villain Corypheus, introduced in Legacy - was going to die. "So what I wanted to do with the expansion was: there's a lot of stuff we cut and I really wanted to put a bowtie on the Dragon Age 2 story," former lead writer David Gaider told me earlier this year while chatting about the creation of the Dragon Age world for a piece about maps. "It had the confrontation with Corypheus and the whole thing. We'd introduced him in a DLC, which I didn't want to do, but we did it, so I wanted to sort of tie that off. And I wanted to kill Varric because he was the viewpoint character and I'm like, 'This is his story, it needs to end with his death.' "He was the unreliable narrator, right?" he added. "I felt like it had to end with him. So we had this great moment where Corypheus is using the Red Lyrium and it's growing out of control, but [Varric is] a dwarf so he's a little bit immune, so he's able to do the Wrath of Khan Spock thing and get in close and destroy it. And he gets Corypheus enough so the party can take him out, but then he's dying from Red Lyrium poisoning so there's this nice moment with him and Hawke as Hawke says goodbye. And with his death, the story ends. And I felt that's appropriate for Dragon Age 2's arc." Exalted March, however, was never released. BioWare cancelled Exalted March to refocus the studio on new game Dragon Age: Inquisition and the move to new engine Frostbite. The expansion was "cannibalised", as Gaider put it, talking to me, and expanded to become Inquisition. Which is how Corypheus suddenly became the main villain in Inquisition, and how Varric managed to stay alive. It didn't stop Gaider trying to kill him again, though. "I tried to kill him in Inquisition," he told me. "I think mainly because I didn't get to do it in [DA2]. And everyone was like, 'But the Inquisitor isn't Hawke! It lacks the same meaning.' And I was like, 'Yeah, I guess you're right.'" Still, it was a difficult thing to let go of. "I was a little bit upset," he said, "and I remember I went and said - because they wanted to start work on Dragon Age 3 immediately - 'Well, you can make me do that, yes, and I will just be the guy in the meetings doing this [he makes a standoffish posture]. Or you can let me go home for a month or so, get this out of my system and grieve, and I will come back. And I swear, when I come back, I will be ready to go.'" He was true to his word, but he still wasn't entirely done trying to kill Varric. In March last year, Gaider revealed there were once plans for Corypheus to attack the Inquisition's mountain castle base, Skyhold. "The threat of Corypheus after Haven was never truly realised," Gaider tweeted. "An attack on Skyhold would have upped the ante. Maybe I could have killed someone finally... but instead, Corypheus remained a remote villain you chased but were rarely chased by. "By the way," he then added, "if you're wondering who I would have killed in Skyhold, given the chance, the answer is obviously Varric. That dwarf was meant to die in the (cancelled) DA2 expansion and escaped his fate despite having been in my crosshairs ever since." Varric survived again. "After Dragon Age Inquisition came out I'd already left the Dragon Age team," he told me."

what I'm reading, if I understood it right, is that Varric has survived death at least 3 times thus far.. (;・∀・)

Oumota weekend, Day 3 — Post-Game
I genuinely believe that Kokichi and Kaito can understand each other, get along and become really close. But it will take a lot of time, especially since Ouma is very bad at taking genuine kindness. And also is on edge, because all of the consequenses of his actions have caught up to him simultaniously. What's even worse, the people who are supposted to hate him the most are being nice to him, and he can't handle that right now.
