Mmm thinking about Calamity/Age of Arcanum verses for Nowhere and Angondren.
Nowhere's pretty easy; she went a similar way of Vespin. She was chosen by the devils and maybe Asmodeus to help them due to her proclivity for divination. It's easy to plan when you know what's coming. She then, decided to engratiate herself to the betrayers (maybe at first she wanted to be a double agent and warn people, but good intentions hardly matter. She quickly became enamored with the power she was given and wanted more.) She's regretting that choice now and if she ever gets back to the material plane she'll be a staunch ally of those who fight against the abyssal planes.
Angondren's a bit more difficult: do I want him to be an aristocrat on one of the flying cities? A emmisary sent by the feywild to strengthen diplomatic relations? Maybe he refused to go back the same way Loquatious refused to. He had started a family in the material plane after all. Maybe he tried to help Larryn travel through planes, he wants to be able to show his family his home. I don't know. Thoughts?
#i love that nowhere is just a neglected angry college kid who didn't get the help she needed when she needed it#she was just allowed to spiral and here's the consequences#also angondren: sadder dad hours#possible calamity verses

Stormblood
After the events of Fading Just Below, Selena chose to stay on the Star but is benched. For a time, the keybearer is recovering from the ordeal and will not participate in the war in Doma.
Instead, she will leave Gridania. Selena is convinced to officially join the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Her goal to protect the Star from the Shadows [Heartless], and their goal to protect Eorzea and the Star are the same. She will realize that she shouldn't work alone anymore.
She then will join the OHNOS [Our Heroes Need No Sleep] free company, the treasuring-hunting focused | training adventurers guild and part of the Team C dungeoneering team of the Scions when they're in-between jobs. [@lalannaoronir | @vierandancer | @aethericsea ]
To build herself back up, the keybearer will take small jobs and errands to not physically exert herself; and she wouldn't need to hold herself back anymore. She will also translate her journals from her world's script to Eorzean.
Later, Selena will gift the Scions and the Grand Companies [and in turn, the Ala Mhigan Resistance] the reference sheet with the letters from her Star and Eorzean letters that she had created for herself while learning how to read.
Her Star's alphabet will be used as a code for the Grand Companies and the Ala Mhigan Resistance if they need to pen a confidential message should it become too risky to inform via linkpearl.
After the Imperials bomb Specula Imperatoris, Selena will become directly involved as a messenger and translator. She will deliver these messages and teach them to translate them until the Grand Companies and the Ala Mhigan Resistance can use the code without her assistance.
Otherwise, she will be free to be a keybearer who utilizes her skills as a swordswoman, magic user, and now a dragoon via the keyblade transformation and the stolen dragoon job stone.
Shadowbringers
During the time that the keybearer is worried for the Scions after the majority of them were Called and then fell to slumber, Selena is overly worried about the possibility of losing control of herself and repeating the event at the Urth's Fount. [Fading Just Below]
While she is doing what she can to help, the keybearer will be looking into a means to control her darkness to prevent the repeat from ever happening. Her search will lead her to Ul'dah to the Lemures guild where she not only learns just that, but she picks up the Reaper job class and a new keyblade transformation.
Endwalker
Selena will be assisting the Scion's Team B with the Lunar Primals while the main cast sails off to Sharlayan and putting her skills to full use.
Fearing that she will be a hindrance and that her power may compromise their mission, she declines to join the Ilsabard Contingent. The keybearer is fully aware that her strong affinity to magic as well as certain powers [i.e. Sonnelion and Eblis] would appear terrifying to those who are unaccustomed to it.
She would also be joining Team Mor Dhona and the Idyllshire's treasure hunters to collect the refined adamantite from the Dalamund shard there and deliver it to Sharlayan.
While there, Selena will immediately put her past experience as a world hopper to use and seek out the Livingway to inform him and the other Lopporits what they may encounter as best she can. Her translated journals will become a boon of information.
However, the keybearer insists on joining Sicard and invites herself to escort the tribes to the Mothercrystal to summon their deities. In her words "It's a bloody bad idea to send only one person alone to escort the tribes with a strong history of hurting and hate through the aetherial sea." Selena believed that they would be attacked by souls who would remember the representatives of the tribes and she was not wrong.
Doing so, Selena had to remain behind on Etheirys, but she had an ulterior motive: summoning Deliora. The keybearer fully intends to gift the Ragnorock and by extension, the Scions, the goddess of her Star to help them reach the edge of existence. She will also task Deliora to guide the ship back home to Etheirys should things go awry.
Thankfully, it never came to that as the Scions did return home triumphant without Deliora's help.
Hearing about the Scion's "disbandment", Selena was understandably upset and scared when she heard until it was clarified to her that it was a pretense to fall back into the shadows. Everyone would go their separate ways and work independently to maintain the image.
The keybearer didn't know what to do with herself and initially chose to wander the realm. But, eventually, Selena began to wonder more and more about the weapon, the keyblade, that she wielded for at least half of her life and of the Final Days, specifically dynamis: the form of energy reacting to strong emotions.
Believing that there may be a connection between the keyblade and dynamis, Selena boarded the next ship to Sharlayan to ask the Students of Baldesion for help to uncover the mystery of the keyblade and in turn, she'd assist however she can.
By recommendation, the keybearer travelled to Thavnair via the experimental aetheryte in Yedlihmad only to become severely ill from aether sickness. When she recovered, she travels to The Great Work to learn more of akasha, or dynamis.
However, when the keybearer tried to return to Sharlayan via the Corridors to Darkness, she failed. It took several attempts for her to realize that she lost the power to utilize them. She initially blamed the experimental aetheryte; but realized, that if she couldn't use the Corridors anymore, then perhaps....
By happy accident, Selena gained the ability to attune to the aetherytes. She successfully attuned to the aetheryte at The Great Work and was so overjoyed that she cried. The trade off is very welcome to her as she does not have a plan to leave Etheirys and never will.
When Selena returned to Sharlayan via ship, first thing she did was attune to the aetheryte there and run around the island to locate and attune to the miniature ones.
The keybearer will join and stay with the Students of Baldesion as she researches the keyblade more and more, eventually realizing that her connection with others shape the keyblade's form and its power.
Once Selena hears of Omphalos and of the Twelve, the keybearer will ask to tag along to so she could ask the Twelve if they knew anything of the keyblade and to apologize to Nophica for causing so much trouble in Gridania.
Due to the loss of the power of utilizing the Corridors to Darkness, Selena will not be able to help Y'shtola and the others with enlarging the void gate in Alzadaal's Legacy but will offer the power of her keyblade in the emergency scenario that it has to be closed and locked for good. Thankfully, it never came to it.

Itsy-bitsy headcanon before bed:
I’ve mentioned this in (very minor) passing before but in my lil’ AoC-verse, the Yiga Clan has been surreptitiously farming mighty bananas in Faron for centuries. I just think, that they have too many stockpiled (and in the other timeline, every member who pops up to kill Link has some) for their stores to come solely from theft and happenstance gathering.*
Anyway, they “farm” in a way that makes the groves look very natural, so nobody else would tend to notice they’re not just growing wild. Just as they’ve been looking after the apple trees on Satori Mountain as stated in my linked post up there. The thing is, that means the Clan can’t defend their crop too intensely, and they always lose some of it to passers-by. In the past, there have been some incidents where Hylians have thought they were farming bananas in the general area; these were dealt with by quickly grabbing as much of the crop as possible, laying natural-seeming traps, and putting illusions on the trees to make them look blighted until the Hylians gave up again for another while and moved their operations somewhere else in Faron.
Post-Calamity, Master Kohga made it known that it’d been his people tending a large amount of banana trees all this time and that they hoped to plant more and expand their operation. Princess Zelda, as one show of gratitude for his assistance (*cough saving her father’s life cough*) and to aid in her own push to legitimize Yiga participation in commerce, worked with Kohga to draw up formal documents to the effect that yes, that land and those trees/bananas belong to the Clan. Which Kohga privately thought was annoying political theater since why wouldn’t it be theirs, why should the Yiga have to make nice to ~earn~ a right to what their hard work had created, but…still, he saw it as a step in the right direction by the Princess, surely (since it seemed she was trying hard to make nice from her end, too <3).
So where do the Yiga farm their bananas? Largely all along the stepped cliffs of Ubota Point, with a smaller reserve crop (looking even more wild and natural) on the higher areas around Bronas Forest and Kamah Plateau.** Post-Calamity, the Clan has been able to start building an open and permanent base of operations on the Point, as they’ll begin to sell and ship some of their crops to places besides their home in Karusa Valley (Urbosa and the Gerudo are among their first big customers, hehe). The Yiga’s once-small Faron Team has been bulked up considerably now that they don’t have to hide. Things are just getting underway with this, but it feels like a good start to their business relationship with Hyrule. Yay! :D
Okay goodnight everybody! <3 <3
*There’s turn-in quests in AoC where the Clan wants to buy up every mighty banana in Hyrule. This is to sustain them while they understandably are shorter-handed and all-hands-on-deck with the Calamity (thanks Astor) and haven’t been as able to tend their crops, which they haven’t been up front with Hyrule about anyway ofc.
**As I’ve also said before, I headcanon that locations on the BotW/TotK map are bigger in “real life” for lack of a better descriptor. So Faron in general is big enough for the Clan and Hylians to be farming bananas and other things too. But incidentally, Ubota Point’s environs are the area in BotW where you can find the most mighty bananas, just growing everywhere! …and personally I’ve also been attacked by a bunch (ha! I have made a banana pun!) of Yiga in Faron both before and even more after that timeline’s Kohga fell in a hole, so….
#kidk says stuff#master kohga#yiga clan#age of calamity#legend of zelda#kidk headcanons#this post brought to you by us trying to find every banana in Faron in botw tonight#bonus: the Clan does NOT farm anywhere near Dracozu Lake/River/Forest. wrong environment (wetlands) plus Hylia’s statue is there ewwwww#((there’s few to no bananas in that area in botw per today’s exploration using the slate’s detector))#anyway short disclaimer my Kohga certainly has not bent the knee to Hylian *rule*#he considers the kingdom a tentative *ally* with a lot of potential for trade that’ll benefit his people#as of right now in my lil’ verse they’re what a government lawyer like me would call ‘in but not of’ Hyrule#as in they’re operating within the borders and auspices of the kingdom but are decidedly NOT governed by the Royal Family#kohga absolutely resents any implication otherwise

Give me some directors cut on your laruta keeps the secret fic? 👀 maybe something on your writing process or those headcanons for the au you mentioned before.....:^)))))
YAY thank you for asking! Here's some misc headcanons, mostly about the main three :) Too tired to get into lore right now, but these still probably apply to the Laruta-verse
Mipha read a lot of fantasy growing up (PROJECTION) but Sidon got really into sci-fi and she got into it as a result. I think she would really like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (and as a sort of introduction to that surreal sort of comedy... I think she would be giggling out loud reading it and as a result develop a slightly indecipherable sense of humour for a 13-year-old (possibly? I haven't been a 13-year-old in ages so I'm a little out of touch lol)) and she would start carrying a towel around in her bag as a nod to that. It would come in useful one time and she would be unbelievably happy about it.
Zelda is the type to cycle through take up a lot of extracurriculars and electives - and then drop them when she can't get anything more out of them. A lot of people think it's because she's indecisive but she just really likes learning and trying new things. This makes her the school admin's worst nightmare!
Zelda and Link have an art class together - Link reads a lot of comics and likes trying to cartoonify things, and Zelda goes as realistic as she possibly can. They're both perfectionists who abuse their eraser privileges. Each of them admire each other's work, though, and they try and make it a priority to work side-by-side on projects.
Dorephan is a language teacher (teaching the Zora language, I don't think it has a name in the games 😬). He speaks some at home with Mipha and Sidon, but Mipha and Sidon aren't exactly fluent becuase they speak more Hylian and regular conversation. They do, however, have enough practice to get a little ahead in classes 😋
Zelda likes paleontology, Link likes history, and Mipha likes biology, so they go on museum trips together (longstanding Link and Mipha tradition but Zelda fits right in). They go completely ham on the interactive expeditions and Mipha gets sucked into the gift shops and ends up with a million socks and t-shirts and pens.
In general I think she's a bit of a hoarder (PROJECTION) and loves collecting little things. Unfortunately they take up a lot of space in her room and she struggles to tidy after a while (... PROJECTION...)
Link only likes sweet things for the sugar hit he gets from them, but he has a select few desserts he actually likes for texture & flavour. He mostly cooks savoury dishes, but sometimes he bakes because he likes sharing the things he makes. Mipha loves desserts but is picky about flavour.
Mipha would get really into metal music as a bid to make herself more mature and then her and Sidon would blast it in the loungeroom and give Dorephan a headache.
Zelda Senior works in a cafe as a baker but has an extensive prior education.
Mipha and Sidon's mother is still dead ;-; sorry.
More specifically, I feel like Zelda's mother's death was more tied to the plot and her identity and the Calamity, but I think Mipha grew around her mother's death from quite an early age, and while it still saddened her, it was already a part of her, which is why I changed one but not the other.
Revali still puts a lot of pressure on himself to be better than everyone else, and in turn ends up putting pressure on Mipha because he's nervous for her. Sorry to lump the bird guys in together but they're very Noelle and Berdly Deltarune to me
Urbosa is one of those teachers that always has a coffee. She get's it from Zelda Senior's cafe.
Zelda and Purah are in a robotics club together. Initially, Zelda joined to get closer with Purah and Impa but it's one of her favourite things now.
I don't have the energy to write out much more -_- but come back for more later if you want lol! I'm having lots of fun with this.

I’m a newer player and i’ve been looking through Osiris’ lore more. I remember reading something somewhere saying he’s had visions. can Guardians get visions from the Light, or was that tied to when he was “possessed” by Savathûn?
It wasn't tied to Savathun!
Osiris had "visions" way before that. He claimed that he got them in the Infinite Forest, which is a Vex prediction/simulation engine built inside of Mercury. He received many visions which later got classified as prophecies even though Osiris insisted that they were scientific research he constructed by using the Vex prediction engine. Because they got classified as prophecies, he got a whole cult following fixated around them which led to his exile because the prophecies were causing chaos in the City.
The problem with Osiris' claim about the visions being from the Infinite Forest is that Osiris only entered the Infinite Forest after he was exiled. And he was exiled for the prophecies. So he already wrote his prophecies down before ever entering the Forest.
Furthermore, the Infinite Forest is a Vex prediction engine and the Vex cannot simulate paracausality, aka the Light. Which means that Osiris could not have received the the prophecies involving the Light from the Forest either. This is explicitly also mentioned as a problem here:
There's just one thing: if Osiris used the Infinite Forest to develop his prophecies, and the Infinite Forest cannot accurately simulate Light, how did Osiris predict the Traveler would wake? The Forest's very inability to predict this very thing is what prevented Panoptes from breaking ground with its apocalyptic calculations. I must assume: 1) Either verse 5 does not refer to the Traveler's awakening, or 2) Osiris has prophetic resources at his disposal other than the Forest. What they are I have no idea.
We essentially don't know how he got the visions. To make things more complicated, there's the comic of which the third part is in a physical edition only so you'll have to check out these scans. Sagira asks him this very same question: how did he make the first batch of prophecies? Osiris dodges the question like a pro, then appears to fall into a trance and starts reciting yet another prophecy on the spot, seemingly without being aware of what he's doing while Sagira is trying to get his attention. The prophecy he makes here is just a prediction of what will happen in Warmind and Forsaken. For the record, this one does take place while he's in the Forest, but the way it happens is just super bizarre and Sagira is also very confused by it as well.
Osiris is 100% unique in this way. No other Guardian has ever really experienced anything similar. Even when the Young Wolf received visions from the Traveler in the Red War, it wasn't really a prophecy or anything like that, it was just one vision to tell us where to go. Osiris received hundreds of these, from an unknown source. There's a possibility that they might be from the Light or the Traveler as well and that Osiris just isn't fully aware of that.
We have some of the prophecies in the game: Garden Progeny 1 (very peculiar, seems to be referring to what we previously believed was proof of the Unveiling story, now possibly referring to the idea presented by both Ahsa and Chioma Esi in Veil Logs that the Traveler and the Veil used to be one entity), The Conqueror 2 (start of the Red War), Jack King Queen 3 (the Vanguard leaders fight the war, YW standing out), Machina Dei 4 (Light returns), Traveler's Judgment 5 (Traveler awakens and defeats Ghaul), Sol Pariah 6 (unknown), West of Sunfall 7 (unknown), Infinite Paths 8 (unknown, most likely something about the Vex), Null Calamity 9 (unknown), Future Safe 10 (unknown), Perfect Paradox (Saint's return). Trying to interpret these is incredibly tough as we simply don't know if the plot points they're predicting are still envisioned the same as they were when these were written over 5-6 years ago. Only madness lies from here going forward.
But yeah, a lot of text for me to say that we have no clue. We do know that they're not in any way related to what happened with Savathun though, as Osiris' prophecies predate that by decades or even centuries.

Question would the main characters from Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and Hailey’s on it be closer of age to Owlphibia parents when they were teenagers or closer of age to their kids?
If we assume the story starts when the shows premiere then Amphibia which started in 2019, the Trio are 13, a year later which is when the Trio beat Core they’re 14 and Luz starts and ends her adventure in the Isles in 2020 when she’s 14. Hailey’s On It! Starting in 2023, she’s 14 however the Calamity Trio and Luz are both 17 when Hailey’s trying to save the world by doing everything on her list. Meanwhile the Mystery Twins are 20 when the Trio disappears and 21 when Luz deals with Belos and 24 when Hailey starts her list
For ease of continuity I keep Marvel and DC shows in their respective universes so while Lunelle would be 13 when the Calamity Trio and Luz is 17, I’m not gonna do anything with that possible crossover potential (cause if u have Marvel in the Owlphibia verse then where was the Avengers when Frogvasion happened?)

Glad the LOZ ask didn’t bother you ❤️ if you post any LOZ fics let us know! I’m sure people who love your writing and LOZ would like to read them (I know I’d be one of them, lol)
I personally have a weakness for pre-calamity Zelink because the possibilities? And the angst? Ugh. Another pre-calamity fic I love a lot is “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” by Dayhaven (they write so much Zelink, pretty sure any of their fics is great). It’s a To All the Boys AU where Link and Zelda have to pretend they’re together pre-calamity 👀 not sure if that would be your cup of tea (because of that and because it has smut) but it’s a fun read as well. Anddd I also loved a post TOTK fic by mitsuboo (apricatus) so much but it’s been on hiatus for a long time, it’s basically about Zelink not having gotten together yet even after the events of BOTW and TOTK and still being in the mutually pining stage, but it looks like it might not get finished and I know reading fics on hiatus can be frustrating, so ignore that one 😅
Hope you enjoy the recs if you check them out! ❤️
Not at all, I've been wanting to talk about it for a while, but I don't know anyone in the LoZ fandom and I've also been busy with school, so writing fic for it to break in has been slow going. 😅 I have so many ideas in the AOC timeline for similar reasons! Like the calamity is over, but they're still entrenched in the society that suppressed them prior. The post-botw fic I'm writing has its own challenges but bc basically everyone who cared about high society is dead, Zelda and Link can be a bit more lax and open, so Link talks more and they're more playful and silly at times, and Zelda falls more in love with him as they travel and meet all of his friends and she hears more about his kind deeds from the people he helped while she was sealed away. (Also Purah tags along with them a lot for fun purposes)
But in the AOC timeline post calamity they are still under the watchful eyes of the kingdom and Zelda has more clearcut duties as a princess, so I have a few different ideas. A couple of them involve King Roam being like okay, Calamity is over, and you're a woman now, so you need to settle down so I can pass the throne on. So, he starts inviting nobles to court her, but she's in love with Link. I have one that's more serious where Link enters a competition to win her hand both bc he loves her but more bc she's annoyed with it bc she can make her own choices and he's her friend so he supports her. Another one is more cracky in that there's a competition that he accidentally stumbles into and enters, and he keeps showing up the others on accident mostly. Zelda thinks it's hilarious.
I have another one post-AOC where Zelda is trying to understand her powers and gain better control over them, but Roam doesn't care about them now that the calamity is over, which kind of pisses her off considering how hard he pushed her to unlock them. But that one delves into deeper loz lore, and she has visions of her mom.
I have another one that's a crossover between post-totk Zelink who have faced two crises at this point and are just married and scraping their kingdom back together, and they get sucked into the AOC timeline with all of that crew bc the AOC bunch haven't dealt with the Demon King Ganon chilling under the castle yet. But it's interesting the differences between totk Zelda and Link who are way less suppressed and kind of doing what they want bc they're reestablishing the kingdom and the AOC Zelda and Link who are still stuck in the old ways and more high strung. And also totk zelink seeing all of their friends again.
I also have another ambitious one that is a OG Hyrule Warriors style crossover between a bunch of the mainline games where their worlds are all colliding with the BOTW verse, so you get Links and Zeldas from OOT, SS, TP, WW. And they all have to refight their Ganons. I'm most excited to write the WW duo in that one bc I love the idea of all of the other Zeldas being really proper and then there's Tetra who is literally a pirate 😂
I have so many ideas, and I've been slowly chipping away at my first one. I'm working on the third chapter of it, but that one is gonna be really long. I know exactly where it's going to end bc I literally want it to span the end of botw to just before totk starts and cover a lot of their journey to rebuilding and whatnot prior. I have the outline broken into arcs depending on where they're going and who they're seeing. And because I'm so busy I want to get through a couple arcs before I start posting it so I can avoid long hiatuses 🥲 I've been working on it in my little amounts of spare time.
But those fics sound really fun I am also a sucker for pining, I don't intend to put them together right away in my fic so I can play with that and basically all of their friends can see it but they're both still oblivious. It's the absolute devotion and mutual pining for me. And they're both just so broken and understand each other in unique ways no one else does because of their shared experience. 😍

ISLAM 101: MISFORTUNES AND DISASTERS: Part 2
In a holy hadith (in which Allah Almighty lets some things known through the mouth of Muhammad (PBUH) by informing him), Allah Almighty announces, I was a hidden treasure, I wished to be known and created the universe. The existence of the universe is considered to date back billions of years; however, the existence of human life dates back tens of thousands of years. The news in this holy hadith had looked to the realm of angels before humankind was created. These blessed beings, which are free from rebellion, have confirmed the news in this holy hadith with their worship, glorification, obedience, knowledge, and love of Allah. The animal kingdom also recalled angels in terms of their souls and leading a life in conformity with their purpose of creation. The plant species and inanimate beings served their duties with perfect obedience. The verse, There is nothing that does not glorify and thank Allah clearly includes everything in itself be it animate or inanimate. Everything glorifies and praises Him. Allah Almighty willed to create another creature that is able to carry out more glorification and worship: Now this sublime creature was to be the man who would be the viceroy on earth. When Allah Almighty announced angels to create a human being out of the soil, a similar question to the one above came from angels and as a response, He (SWT) told them; You may not know what I know.
These new guests, who were to be put into testing and were to excel angels if they become successful, as the verse announces, were created only that they might worship Allah. I have not created the jinn and humankind but to (know and) worship Me (exclusively). (Al-Dhariyat Surah, 51:56) When considered the fact that the word worship in the verse is interpreted as knowing Allah by a number of religious scholars, it is understood that man is charged with knowing Allah (SWT), acknowledging His unity, believing in the infinity of His attributes, beholding and contemplating over the realm of creatures with the eyes of wisdom and object lesson. This select creature would not only be the addressee of the manifestations of the names pertaining to His Glory and s/he will be tested through His names pertaining to His Beauty. Actually, it became and still becoming so. Manifestations such as bounties, endowments, gifts, beauties, health, well-being, welfare are all the manifestations of His Beauty. And man is faced with choosing one of the options as to being thankful or being ingratitude. Unfortunately, with the victory Satan enjoys over men, most of the people are inebriated with the manifestations of Beauty and fail the testing. The other aspect of the testing has to do with the names of Glory such as diseases, calamities, disasters, deaths. Through these, men are put under testing which calls for patience, reliance on and submission to Allah (SWT). Though intelligence thinks of otherwise, this is a truth that those who pass this testing are far more than the first group. For the All-Wise Creator has included in man's nature infinitely vast impotence and boundlessly huge poverty, so that he can be an extensive mirror containing the innumerable manifestations of an All-Powerful and Compassionate One Whose power is infinite, an All-Generous All-Rich One Whose wealth is boundless. Man, who was created for worship and contemplation of Allah (SWT), shall feel his/her impotence and weakness in order to get ahead through this valley, must take refuge in Him, and ask for help from Him.
He shall not refrain from praying and strive to catch welfare. And all of these are possible with calamities, disasters, helplessness, and distresses, which lead man into asking for help and taking refuge in Allah (SWT). Souls, which take refuge in their Lords in despair, take a positive point in respect of passing this-worldly testing. However, in the manifestations of welfare, health, and bliss man may be charmed with these and be drowned in negligence instead of understanding his/her vast impotence. The following is one of the most important aspects of the issue: As far as knowing Allah is considered, one needs to take into consideration of all attributes, not only those of Beauty. Just as Allah (SWT) is Merciful, so is He (SWT), Subduer. It is Him Who makes us taste of both honor and wretchedness. Should only the names of Beauty were to manifest themselves in this world, and should men were to be the addressee of only these names, his/her knowing of Allah (SWT) would be incomplete. In this realm of testing, man has to know of Allah (SWT) with both His names of Beauty and those of Glory. As for the Hereafter, roads will be several. Some people will be admitted into Paradise as a reward of their sincerity, good deeds, and good conduct; and will eternally be the receivers of the manifestations of Beauty such as endowment, munificence, bounty at the utmost level. As for those who follow the road of disbelief and polytheism and engaged in debauchery in this world shall meet with the manifestations of Glory, Power, and grief. Thus, in the realm of Resurrection, the names of Beauty and Glory shall have manifested themselves in their full senses.

hamlet’s calamity is a research project created by @keepthisholykiss. currently this project is in the pre-work stages before submission as a full phd proposal and later a dissertation and published texts. i am a scholar (cringe) well-versed in researching hamlet with the help of tumblr before. this new research focuses on the impact of the play hamlet and how all who interact with it fall under a mysterious draw to the text.
currently this project is seeking participants for statements and interviews. you can learn more about that on the website. you can fill the asks on this blog with any questions or anonymous statements for research as well. i will mainly use this account for updates on the research, more calls for submissions, and to reblog great hamlet memes i find.
this project is really important to me and something i am dedicating at least the better part of a decade to. i’d appreciate any participation or signal boosts when possible, thank you! love you! don’t forget to write!

Eden; God
This is lore for my muses built with the help of @hellsgreatestgame. We have carefully worked together to build and expand the Hella-Verse. All these ideas are mine and not to be used by anyone else without permission. A lot of time and effort went into every detail or my lore. Currently all world building can also be shared with @hellsgreatestperformance.
The next few post will be covering paradise and the fall from grace. Each post will cover a various view point of one of my muses that witness this and damage from the aftermath from it's devastation.
God was void brought to life allowing him to be the perfect being. He was everything and is everything. From him the universe sprang forth and he created the heavens first. From there he set forth a brilliant plan to create the tapestry of the perfect being.
Several clutches of angels began to come and he tasked this perfect beings to aid him for all eternity in his grand design.
He sculpted out universes, beings and monster beyond fathomable reason. Each was one step in his road to creating a perfect soul. One that not even he could control.
Finally he had formed it in the creation of man. From the dust on this marble in the heavens Eden was formed serving a link between paradise and heaven.
Eden was made to service the humans as God could observe these beings in harmony and learn from them. However his plan was imperfect. In his haste the tree of knowledge sprouted from the soil producing rotten fruit. This became to be forbidden from the humans because God knew that this fruit would led to something he could not bare.
The first humans, Lilith and Adam did not mind. The two had a blessed life. They were even more wonderful than God could have dreamed. With free will came mystery. For the first time in all of creation, the possibilities were endless. Humans could do or be anything.
In his folly, he fell to his own pride. With his obsession with the humans, he had forsaken the angels. He had been blinded to the strife he unknowingly caused.
In the confusion, he missed had not been able to stop or predict that Lilith and Lucifer had become dangerously entangled.
Feeling betrayed by his beloved star and his favorite creation, God confronted the two. He soon discovered the intimate affair between the two and with no other option knowing the pain these two would cause on Eden, he banished the two from Eden into a desolate oasis outside of the now gated Eden.
This punishment only pained those whom he sought to protect. Adam was forlorn without purpose and so he took a rib from him creating his perfect compliment. It is from them legends and the term soul mate.
Things begun once more but the happiness was shattered quickly as Lucifer had returned to Eden. He seduced Eve. She took a bite of the apple and thus brought calamity to Eden.
Paradise fell soiled by the betrayal. God had no choice but to further punish all involved. This happened on the sixth day.
With great pain he sent humans to Earth breaking the connection to heaven. Lucifer was cast into a world of his own pained creation with his love by his side while God made an effort to rebuild what he could.
On the seventh day god mourned the lost before he set forth new more strict laws placing a council in heaven ordained by the righteous and those holy enough to be placed as a virtue among the angels.
He spent many years trying to repair the damage however he never recovered and ultimately left heaven. Currently it is unknown his whereabouts.

ooc;; Link Pokemon team drop--
a couple notes, I made a promise to myself not to use any legendaries in his team, so there's that.
For this verse, this is assuming a strange match of loz and Pokemon, we don't think about the possible conflicting timelines, we just roll. My brain sort of locked into precalamity as the setting for this team in particular, which explains a lot of the baby Pokemon. In theory several of these would evolve and the team might switch up come totk timing.
Also this is initial vibes and I might still change it up, but this is a first pass. Pokemon personalities and descriptions below the cut!
Rapidash-- Link's first Pokemon because the horsegirl agenda lives on. He's had Rapidash the longest, starting from a Ponyta before he even thought about being a knight. Her name is Epona because obviously. Sometimes timid but very affectionate with Link
Gallade -- started training with Link as a Ralts and evolved while Link was in his knight training to be a Gallade. Strong and silent type
Horsea-- initially belonged to Mipha and was present when Mipha taught Link how to swim. Eventually, Mipha gifts Horsea to Link. Horsea does evolve into Kingdra after the 100 year gap so Link ends up with a dragon type in the end
Riolu-- when Link starts his travels with Zelda, the vibes were bad, not just between Zelda and Link but also with the coming Calamity. Cue one small Riolu who just wants to do his best. Does eventually evolve into Lucario after the 100 year sleep. Close friends with Absol. The happiest bean despite everything
Absol-- actually joins Link just shortly after he pulls the Sword that Seals the Darkness free. Absol can sense Something is up and joins on with Link for the ride. Close friends with Riolu. Serious nature, just stands there Menancingly
Floette-- (should be the blue variety, ignore the red in this picture) Gift from Zelda, because Silent Princess symbolism shhhhh. She likes to dance with Riolu and Link doesn't end up using her much in battle.
After BotW and the gap between TotK, Link's team does switch around a little bit. I'm not sure who all changes, but when the Master Sword breaks, Link does find a noble Aegislash that joins his team

Ship bias + Revali
Revali x Champions { Mipha, Daruk and Urbosa } - Reason I put them like this is I could see them more like a platonic kind of polycule? But could see him getting on better with for the biggest example Mipha, he's always gentle hearted towards her from the little we see of them both in game interact. Urbosa he respects a lot so could see them working possibly. I think he would with Daruk too in a platonic way - this would be very slow burn to get to that point with their contrasting personalities though.
Revali x Zelda - Okay but this, more specifically I think this could happen more likey after the Calamity, with Revali a little more emotional and probably would cling to the people who have been through similar to him over the Last 100 years fighting. I could see them being a comfort for one another honestly and in my head its so sweet.
Revali x Link - Okay so this has been put separately even if he is technically a Champion too. Their relationship is complicated but with patience and time { and a lot of fanart ive seen that may have influenced me but it is hecking cute } I could see them maybe falling for one another. I think love is complicated for Revali and he doesn't always know how to express it or experince especially with someone as stotic as Link lets himself appear when they first meet. Rivalary to Love, Brotherly Love and Familal support. I think I can like all the things about these two separately and in different circumstances and verses / threads.
tdlr I really want to write more ship things eventually with him and explore all these romantically or platonically. The birb is complicated and it will take time for him to do so but I want him to be happy gdi!!!
These are just the ones within LOZ/BOTW but I'm open to crossover characters cause sometimes those ships are some of my favourites!

On the topic of the whole "warrior" and "war/anti-war" thing with Sonic characters: where do you think Sticks falls on that spectrum? I've always wanted to do some sort of story tying her to stuff with the Ancients in either verse, and I feel like whatever the hell caused the Ancients in the boom verse to be destroyed would be tied to a war of some sort.
i don't think sticks is really a warrior of any sort, the closest argument to that you could get is how versatile her combat abilities are, but the way i see it she developed those skills in the interest of her own survival and possibly as a hobby thing. sticks has never been the kind of character who seeks out conflict (unless the cartoon did something that im not remembering rn), if anything she's the most defensive and guarded up of the boom crew from reasons ranging from paranoia to old habits. she falls much easier to the same kind of "protector" roles as knuckles does, partially because the boom crew themselves are kinds of "protectors" of bygone island, defending it from lyric and then eggman
as for the ancients i tend to lean towards the disaster that took them out having been some kind of natural calamity as opposed to a war thing. i especially like the idea that their distaste of the sort of technological advances lyric was proposing back in the day somehow bit them in the ass in the end, with some kind of disaster striking the islands that they weren't able to prevent with the measures they had in place, but i haven't thought about those specifics too hard just yet and im not sure how well that would work in practice. i don't see the ancients having been a very warmongering kind of culture, and the infighting they did have was against lyric and his selfish desires, which i don't see having been The Reason behind their downfall but rather an unrelated major historical event somewhat close to whatever calamity did wipe them out
tl;dr sticks is more of a protector in some sense, the ancients to me anyway didn't get involved in wars, and boom itself while not explicitly anti-war or anything has very little premise for war-related Anything to thrive in it

quick gen.shin verse notes until i write it out properly:
was touched by the abyss at one point and subsequently abandoned by her family. it left her changed in some ways (to be further developed).
raised in the house of the hearth under the rule of the director (the previous arle.cchino) afterwards.
received frequent training and missions in the art of espionage and assassination as she displayed talent for it and thus spent little time with the rest of the children in the house. she did have opportunities to have brief associations with some of them but she does not consider any of them siblings as she was never allowed to form those kinds of bonds.
she is a high ranking and powerful fatui operative highly skilled in espionage, ‘debt collection’ and assassination that can work under various harbingers as requested.
undetermined vision (additionally, possible electro delusion) — please note that element overall may change later depending on what gets released.
her codename remains the same in gen.shin verse — she is still known as calamity.
as always across all verses, any pronouns and calamity prefers neutral & masculine terms, although some feminine terms will be accepted.
#✧ ⥼ ㅤ— ㅤ❝ i am the shape you made me. ╱ about.#i am trying my best to balance calamity while fitting her story & character into gen.shin lmao

29. Reaction to sudden interpersonal disaster (eg close family member suddenly dies) --- for the excessively detailed hc meme !
the excessively detailed hc meme.
putting his heart under a thousand locks and doing what needs to be done, and then processing it much, much later. too many people died on him, and he's been hurt in other ways too many times (in both lifetimes), but any sort of disaster is usually a call to action. his skills are needed, so he has to stay level-headed and cool to make sure no one else gets hurt, and of course, the first instinct that kicks in is to protect his disciples. the aftermath will leave him shattered where no one can witness it, but on the outside he would usually appear so calm and unperturbed that it would be only natural to assume he doesn't care at all.
the same applies to conflict/interpersonal painful situations. if it's possible to leave and avoid, he'd leave and avoid. if it's not (e.g. in 0.5 verse where the discomfort is constant and escaping the situation physically isn't an option), he'll try to distance his mind and heart from it as much as possible, usually involving going nonverbal and avoiding any form of communication. the man is too proud to let his true feelings be known. he's not really used to anyone giving a damn either, so it's easier to just keep everything bottled up and slowly pull the thorns out one by one and assess the damage while no one watches.
but when i think of the worst case scenarios for him (big story spoilers ahead for those who are reading the book and don't want plot twists to be ruined!!), there are two amazing illustrations:
— the realization that he fucked up in 0.5 if he managed to a) allow his disciple to be affected by a horrible, irreversible curse that slowly but surely eroded and erased his entire personality and b) watch the man he loved turn into a monster and deem it the result of his own hatred rather than a curse. because when conflict occurred, CWN was the one to distance himself where he could've apologized (he wanted to apologize, yet he chose to do it by proxy who followed his instructions and didn't mention that he was the one who made the goddamn wontons).
and it left him with the horrible knowledge that he couldn't share with anyone, as he knew that whoever was behind it would be watching closely and things could become worse. it left him defenceless on so many levels because he couldn't do anything to help (as it was too late and he didn't have a golden core anymore) and he couldn't even hide behind the facade of resentment anymore — it's easy to hate a self-made monster, but not so easy to hate someone you loved and failed. when i say that sex scenes in 2ha aren't skippable because they contain essential character development, chapters 247-250 or around that are the ones on my mind. the realization left CWN in such an intense emotional disarray that he threw the remains of his dignity out of the window and for the first time showed that he wanted this too. and for him, in that verse, it's huge. and yet he collected himself and managed to come up with a plan to do something, even though he had nothing to counter with and the damage was irreversible.
— and secondly, having to deal with a massive calamity after losing many people he held dear and most importantly, Mo Ran. i can't think of anything worse than what he's gone through at that point. he watched the man he loved get destroyed by an angry mob, knowing that he wasn't guilty. he slaughtered his way through to at least give him some peace, while being very much aware that saving him was no longer an option. and after all that he knew he had to go on, he had to face the living corpse with the same face and the same memories, the twisted and distorted projection of his beloved.
but he managed to put that grief on hold and he almost single-handedly thwarted the big evil plan in action. he made sure that whoever wanted to be saved was saved, and only then did he ask to 'let him be selfish for once'. and that selfish want, to him, was to die with Taxian-jun (the wording still sends me, it's such an insane detail). so he locked that pain away, did what had to be done, and then allowed it to finally consume him.
#hc.#an excessively detailed answer ig#these two scenes haunt me daily. but they just prove the point here. the man is resilient af when he wants to be

Voidsent Vynathr verse explanation- will be added to carrd soon
Before the calamity, Vynathr was not named Vynathr. He was named Vukmir, and he was the ruler of a kingdom called Emden. Emden was situated on the Thirteenth's equivalent of Ilsabard, and was very diverse, populated primarily with highlander hyur, hrothgar, and possibly (I've yet to decide if Garleans are an artificially created race, of so they don't exist on the Thirteenth) garleans. The kingdom was massive, and was constantly creeping ever further out, taking over other nations in the process.
Vukmir was born with various insecurities and issues as every Vynathr does, but when the calamity struck, this faded. He had done what he could to deal with matters before it was too late, but when the worst came to pass, he made a discovery. He had an extremely powerful soul. He became strong, inhumanly so, intelligent and monstrous yet more appealing than so many other voidsent reduced to flying eyeballs and mouths and other horrors. The only downside is that to fuel his incredible strength, intelligence, and power, he needed to eat. A lot.
He became prideful and gluttonous. Gulping down being after being, absorbing their souls into his own- his powerful soul overrides them at large, but with the sheer number he has eaten, there is an undeniable change to him on some level. He is a ravenous beast, with a name more fitting of his inhuman nature now, and he rules his section of the void with an iron fist, his territory ever growing. He is famous for his nigh insatiable hunger, but he is also known to be both a powerful fighter and a very skilled and intelligent leader. Someone to have on your side.
Reaper sideverse- Vynathr's hunger grows too insatiable, and he turns his attention to the Source, seeking to eat and eat as much as he can, even if he must possess the one he made a deal with to do so. He stalks the land like a ravenous wolf, seeking both aether to consume and places to conquer and rule through the guise of the one he had possessed. This individual can be wol Vynathr, an unknown individual, or someone else's muse.
By default, he has his eyes set on Garlemald and Ishgard, mostly the latter, as he is most comfortable in frigid places. In some versions of this side verse, he manages to slip into place as a Garlean legatus, and take over Ishgard to rule as his own- in other versions, he takes over without Garlean aid. And in others still, he roams alone. He can also be the wol, with his motives being more focused on the multitude of excuses to fight and consume than actual altruism.
Note- Void Vyn is originally based on an attempt to directly adapt main verse Vynathr from my main blog, an alien deity of pain, rage, and hunger, to ffxiv as closely as possible, and thus themes and mentions of him will come up often. Dw, you aren't expected to know anything, I just don't want people to be confused when it happens. And since he is based on a deity, he is incredibly overpowered, to the point that were he to exist in canon, he would have easily attacked and eaten Golbez alive. I will not tone this down.
To those who are familiar with main verse Vynathr, there are differences, such as void Vyn being truly very prideful whereas main Vyn simply appears that way due to a certain expression of anger. Though void Vyn started as an attempt to echo main Vyn as closely as possible, he has kind of developed into his own thing, as is probably expected from my tendency to go all in with every verse.
