-♡ this is so bad and I apologize. And it was rushed. (Update this is the worst thing I have ever written)

-♡ warnings: short, family moments, family problems too, idk what this is but I tried.

“Just take my hand.” You scream and grab your younger brothers hand and tug him with you. You’d be damn if he was left behind or you weren’t with him, this monster was ruthless.

the monster roared behind you both and shook the ground with it’s footsteps. you could practically smell the gross air coming from its mouth. monster didn’t have dental hygiene to your knowledge and this one definitely need it.

“Percy, get in front of me.” You practically throw him in front of you and slow yourself down and reach for a weapon of your own. “You run as fast as you can.”

“Like hell I’ll leave you.” He turns and huffs from exhaustion from all the running.

“I’m older so you have to listen to me. Plus, I can buy us some time..” you come to a stop and glare at the beast rushing towards you. Percy tried to pull you from your still placement but you didn’t allow him.

Honestly it all happened so fast.

Water come from no where and covered the ground, you both lost sight of the beast before the waves pushed you both back. Your instinct was to look around for Percy as soon as the water leveled itself and you found him coughing and slowly getting up with his clothes soaked.

You rush to him and pat his back, “what did you do?” You ask amazed and surprised. He looked up at you with his skin covered in water and tilts his head, “Me? I thought that was you.”

Turning around slowly at the sound of footsteps against the water and expecting to see the beast return to attack you. But you didn’t find the giant creature but a man. A normal looking man. Percy pulled away slowly from your arms and looked at the man like he knew him.

Then it clicked when you stared into his eyes…you knew those eyes from a distance dream. And you knew that smile, Percy had one similar.

“Dad?” Your voice was cracked and slight terrified.

Percy looked at you and realized you have never met him before. And Poseidon was memorized by the sight of you for the first time since you were younger and running after your brother.

“You both like to get into trouble don’t you?” His smirk was almost proud.

“That’s the life of a half-blood.” You walked to your brother and closer to the god you called your father. You thought he would be scary, but he looked like a normal dude. Though, that didn’t stop your stomach from getting upset with nerves.

He looked down at you with admiration in his eyes, Percy let you both have this moment like he did.

“You look just like your mother.” The closer he got the more you wanted to embrace him and cry, or punch him and cry.

“I clearly got the looks.” You poked fun at Percy and he playfully rolled his eyes and muttered under his breath.

“You’re both very lucky I got here in time for you would have been food,” he looks back at the knocked out creature on the ground. “He’s going back to where he belongs, I suggest you both do that same.” You both look at each other and then back at him.

“But I am very proud of you both. Know that.” You reach out to touch him but he disappears with a shining light with the monster. You sigh and stare where he used to be and feel disappointed, there was still so much you wanted to ask.

“He didn’t drop you through the floor. Better then my first time.”

Listen, I read your post about Percy's strategic genius and I thought something.

Percy, Sally, and the entire Jackson family are descendants of Odysseus.

Sally is also damn smart, just look at how she competently got rid of Gabe and remained in full advantage.

And that is why how Athena treats Percy in this way.

He is a descendant of her beloved mortal, so similar to him in his mind and the son of her sworn rival, who tormented this very mortal and prevented him from returning home.

You seriously have no idea how GENIUS that headcanon is like holy hell the sheer depth it adds to everything is insane.

1. Athena begrudgingly guiding Percy in Titan's Curse, getting extreme deja vu (God's probably get that a lot) from the situation and how conflicting she gets over the mortal that is Perseus Jackson for his uncanny resemblance to Odysseus when it comes to his wit and his personality minus strangely the hubris.

Despite her disdain for him out of some strange loyalty, she tells him of his fatal flaw and how it would endanger him.

She let's her loathing for Poseidon get the best of her in Titan's Curse and votes to kill Percy and Thalia but Percy like Odysseus has both the wit and achievements she can't overlook despite her desperate intentions to and hence in the Last Olympian she acknowledges in her own subtle way that Percy is the greatest demigod of this age. That he's saved both the world and his friends.

2. Annabeth proud and confident as ever would be flabbergasted that Percy who she despite her supposed love for him undermines him almost always when it comes to his intelligence finds out that her mother has acknowledged Percy for his strategic mind and that he is the descendant of her mother's most favored mortal ever. (Maybe just maybe it will tone her hubris down a notch and then some, and if we are really lucky, a reality check)

3. Percy would laugh, probably shrug at the revelation. After all, stuff like that makes no difference to him.

4. But I can imagine if Sally knew beforehand about it, then how much hell must she have given Poseidon over it and probably still finds it to be a hilarious coincidence .

5. To Poseidon himself, it must have struck as an agonizing coincidence, but for the better, because for all of Poseidon's flaws, he loves his own intensely. His godly children, his monstrous children, his demigod children, and Percy, he loves most out of them all by his own words and he loves him so in some strange manner for the same humanity he scorned Odysseus for having.

Sally must have made him see the error of his ways, and even Poseidon for his quick temper would be loathe to not change his opinions on mercy then. (If the Queen among mortals tells you, you listen)

All in all, everything that happened in the Odyssey with Poseidon Odysseus and Athena would have come to a good closure with this.

That a millenia later by strange set of circumstances Athena and Poseidon begrudgingly acknowledged the folly in their perspectives from the times of Odyssey all because Poseidon met Sally Jackson and sired a demigod child who by a twist only the fates could make up turned out to be the descendant of Odysseus himself. (I reckon the fates must be cackling in glee at the whole thing)

PS: Hermes is having a blast with this news of Percy's ancestry.

Bro, Poseidon is my favorite too. I low-key feel bad for Percy in all of the series, though. I decided to do this one differently for this request to keep it interesting.

Fun fact: I have studied Latin for 5 years and quite a bit of it was translating Roman Myths.

Riddle Rosehearts

His mother never let him read about mythology of Twisted Wonderland besides of the Great Seven, so he’s kind of clueless about things like this. When he first sees you, his face gets red because you’re just so beautiful and kind.

Your powers have to do with the matter of love, which is kind of hard when all of the boys are falling head-over-heels for you. Luckily, your mother was worshiped for being a goddess of war so you were able to dodge each of them… except for Riddle. He swept you away, and now you both can be seen enjoying tea while looking into each other’s eyes with a lovestruck gaze.

Once, you caught someone talking crap about your lover and you weren’t having it. You nodded as though you were agreeing with the guy, getting closer and closer until you were straddling them with a knife on their neck.

Riddle had to rush over and save the student by gently taking you away, promising that he would be dealt with in a less violent manner. He does appreciate how protective you get because he’s the same exact way. You both are a force to be reckoned with.

When you tell him about your 15 (possibly 16) siblings, he just stares at you dumbfounded. You have how many siblings? You tell him about Eros, the most popular, and how he fell for a mortal and she became a goddess. You went on to explain that you found it ridiculous when you were younger but now that you were with your boyfriend, you understood everything. He blushed a little, but bowed and placed a kiss on the back of your hand in response.

If Leona has been having a horrible day, you would put your hand on his forehead and make him go into a very deep sleep. It’s the kind of sleep that you wake up from at 3 pm, you feel me?

One time, one of the Savanaclaw students was talking smack right to your face. Leona was about to yell at them, but you slapped their forehead and made them go to sleep right then and there. You threatened everyone else that if someone else were to do anything like that, you would put them into a sleep they would never wake up from.

Leona was so freaking proud of you, but he knew that Crowley would be on his ass if he found out about this incident, so he asked you to wake the student up. He had to hold back a smirk when you rolled your eyes and slapped the student back to consciousness.

When you tell him about your 3 brothers, he’s a little intrigued. The four of you must’ve wreaked havoc on everyone, especially since you could put people to sleep and your brothers could control their dreams. You smile as you tell him about all the good times you had, and he smiles as well. It sounds like one hell of a time.

Like I mentioned in the Vice Housewarden version of this, he bows down to you. You are of the same status as King Trident. He will offer you his arm for you to take and he will give you a tour of the campus. He makes sure that you know you can come to him if you’re having any troubles.

Your powers give you control over water and the creatures that reside within. That being said, your dates often occur at the beach. He prefers to stay on the sand while you go for a swim. When you come out of the water, Azul has to hide his face in his hands. You just looked so attractive with the water dripping off of you!-

One time, Floyd was being very uncooperative and wasn’t doing his job. Azul and Jade had to tell him off a few times, and you even gave him a few reminders, but you were officially done. You decided to make him a fish out of water. You brought out his tail and he started flopping around like a fish on the deck of a boat. You and a few other customers started laughing hysterically.

Azul heard all of the laughter and walked out of his office to see Floyd on the floor, Jade trying to help Floyd, and you and a bunch of customers laughing. He asked his Vice Housewarden what happened and he was shocked that you would do something like this out of annoyance. He talks you into returning Floyd’s legs and leads you away to calm down.

When you tell him about your 14 siblings, you’re most likely answering some of his many questions. Who wouldn’t love to learn about the King of the Sea when he was a small child? Or the imperial family of the sea in general? It’s amusing how many stories you have stored away in your mind, and he will make time to listen to them all.

You both are fairly energetic and are most definitely party animals. Jamil has one hell of a time trying to control the two of you because of all the energy you two have. Everywhere you go, you just light up a room.

Your powers, as horrifying as it is, allow you to make someone go insane. You’ve been ridiculed for it and you want to try and prove to everyone that you can do good things. You hide this pain by throwing the best of parties and festivals, and Kalim doesn’t suspect anything.

One day, you were planning another festival when a couple of students decided to ruin your day completely. They started taunting you and acting like the insane patients in movies when you felt a little snap in your mind. You grabbed one of them by their shoulders and forced them to look into your eyes. The student looked like they had seen a ghost, and started screaming while looking around frantically. They dropped to the floor and started rocking back and forth.

Kalim and Jamil heard these shrieks and saw a bunch of students around that one and you laughing hysterically. Jamil went to the rocking guy and Kalim went to you to ask what happened. You were bright in every sense of the word. With your father being the God of the Sun, Light, Music, and Prophecy, it was hard not to take after him. This is what drew Vil to you. You were just so open and confident, as though you had nothing to be ashamed of.

Your power was the gift of vision and prophecy. You could see what was going to happen in the future. You had the chance to change the future so no harm would be inflicted on anyone. Vil was always in the visions you had about yourself. It was a secret you kept to yourself, but it always made you blush.

One day, as you were speaking to Vil while playing your guitar (you are as gifted as your father is, after all), a random guy decided to shove you and ‘apologize’ while laughing. You looked at him, silently questioning his audacity. You then shouted to the guy, saying something along the lines of I would watch your back, buddy. Your friends are just looking for a point to stab your back. You were known for your visions, so the guy got a scared look on his face before walking off.

Vil asked if it was true and you shook your head while laughing. He called you a very mischievous potato before going back to whatever he was originally doing. There was no shame or harm in instilling fear in someone who wronged you, after all.

While talking, you brought up your 4 brothers. There were many plays about your brother Orpheus, but you told your boyfriend the whole story. How he had no way of knowing if Eurydice was following behind him and that’s why he had to look. You ended your mini rant by stating that you would’ve done the same thing if you were both in his and her shoes. Vil felt a fluttering feeling in his stomach, but thanked you nonetheless.

Idia Shroud

Are you really surprised? You had two green thumbs just like your mother. You both ‘met’ when Ortho was taking Idia’s tablet all around the campus so that his brother could accompany him without taking a step outside.

You had the power to make any plant grow. Be it big or small, you were able to breathe life into it and make it thrive like never before. You had agreed to meet up with Ortho in the greenhouse so that you could go over some class material. You had a green t-shirt with some jean overalls and gardening gloves and Idia saw you through the camera. You looked adorable.

Because of your genuinely cheerful and kind personality, Idia found it a tad bit easier to talk to you. He was still a bit reserved, but he stuttered a few questions out to let you know that he was genuinely interested in what you had to say. However, when a student came over and tipped your gardenia plant over, your kind personality turned murderous. The otaku saw vines shoot out and wrap themselves around the neck of the student.

After some very harsh and threatening words from you, you let them go and they scampered away like a scared cat. You turned and saw Ortho standing there in shock and you immediately went to apologize when Idia turned on his camera. He was genuinely dying of laughter because the guy was acting all tough before running away like a total wimp. His smile gave you butterflies, you thought he looked so charming.

When you get to a point where you’re no longer talking about plants but genuinely getting to know each other as a group, you tell the brothers about your 7 siblings. Idia stared in total shock when you said the number. You giggled at his reaction, and his face and hair went a bit red. You told him about the many adventures all of you had when you were younger and you both laughed at how silly some of them were.

Malleus Draconia

Child of: Hades

As a child of Hades himself, you were often alone. You were often seen as gloomy and depressing, and everyone tended to steer clear. Everyone except the Diasomnia dorm members. In fact, you all were a lot alike in that aspect.

Your power was the ability to raise the dead for a brief period of time and command them as though they were an army (please tell me you get the reference here. The fruit is so low). It assisted you a lot when you had to go against all of the overblots. Malleus was impressed because you couldn’t raise the dead with magic, but you were doing it right there.

Because of your gloominess, people tend to make fun of you for it. You weren’t the strongest, so they would think you couldn’t do anything about it. You didn’t want to draw attention to yourself, so you just suffered. One day, you had enough. The students who were harassing you felt the earth tremble beneath their feet. The concrete split and hands encased in rotten flesh broke through the dirt underneath. 

That got them running faster than Forrest Gump. You were laughing maniacally when Malleus came walking by. He asked you what was going on and he was greatly amused when you told him. His Child of the Gods was so smart by using your power to get them to stop.

On one of your nightly walks, you open up more about your family. With what he’s heard about mythology, he expected you to have more siblings than just the two. And the first one was complicated anyways. You had more memories with your sister, so you often stuck to those ones. He loved hearing about your close relationship with Macaria because he’s glad that you didn’t grow up alone.

Notes: Just some headcanons of your sweet self choosing thoughtful gifts for your momma with the company of your dad, yippee. A bit too long, perhaps.

-These kinds of events were considerably insignificant for the Gods. They were immortal beings that have existed for eons, entire lifetimes of knowledge and infinite experience.

- Not for Hades, though, because both he and Persephone were so in love with you the moment you were born that, all of a sudden, counting the days started to make sense.

- Every year for Mother's Day, both you and Hades would work together to get Persephone a ton of presents that you knew she'd love.

- However, this year things went a little differently.

- There you were, walking through your private garden, meticulously picking different flowers for a beautiful bouquet you wanted to make for her, going through each one to examine it carefully. Your fingers inspected the petals, their texture, their color, how they smelled… Oh, and that was just a little detail. A servant behind you was carrying at least six bags filled with jewelry, perfumes, sweets and even more flowery gifts for you angel of a mother!

- And guess what, out of all those presents, your father had only chosen two. The rest of the contents inside those bags remained a mystery to him because an emergency meeting delayed his arrival to the shopping spree, and you already had those bags when he made an appearance.

- Speaking of your father, he was standing a few meters away from you, observing from afar. To say that he was shocked would have been an understatement.

- He was FLABBERGASTED because how in all of Helheim did you manage to outthink him when it came to choosing gifts? And for his beloved wife, no less?! Nonsense! He married Persephone eons ago and knew her better than anyone else, he was absolutely sure! So, uh…

- How the hell did you think of all those other gifts?

- Alright, you were as witty and thoughtful as him, that much he knew. His chest would swell with a warm feeling of pride whenever you managed to beat him at a chess game, or hold a discussion about usually difficult-to-talk-about subjects without stuttering at all.

- He also knew that you guys had similar taste for an awful lot of things, such as music, art, colors, decoration, literature, history, and so on. But even so, how could you possibly think so quickly about this huge amount of things for your mother when he couldn't?

- Wait, no, he was not going to act like a competitive idiot with his daughter. After all, he had promised Persephone last night to take her out for a fancy dinner, then an intimate walk through Helheim and, lastly, some fun time alone in their bedchambers.

- Still! Did you get the advantage because he was too focused on his endless workload that he somehow neglected a part of this special day for his beloved? Or was he finally getting old and doomed to be beat from now on by his own youngling?

- Oh, the sheer horror…

“Papaaa, is someone home?” You waved your hand before his eyes with a raised eyebrow, not knowing why your father seemed so out of it for a moment there. That was uncharacteristic of him.

Hades blinked a couple of times and sighed heavily, before cracking his serious expression with a proud smirk that made you smile, “It seems that you have surpassed your old man this year with the presents. Good to see, my child.”

You stared at him for a minute or two, before waving a dismissive hand with slightly colored cheeks, “Oh, no, none of that. You just wrote down the list of gifts for this year and left it unattended on your desk. Cerberus brought it to me last night thinking that it was a list of chores, and I came to realize after reading it that most of your ideas were the same as my own. Crazy, isn't it?”

- Oh, so that was it. He had to laugh loudly at that because it was so simple it became a joke.

- By the time you made it home, Persephone barely had a chance to speak before you jumped straight into her arms, grinning widely.

- Hades followed behind, handing her half of the gifts while you gave her the other half.

- In the end, the majority of the gifts you chose were the same ones he wanted to buy first, which earned you a hearty laugh and some head pats.

- Cerberus, of course, also received his well-deserved snuggles and belly rubs. What a good hellhound.

- While your mother opened her presents in delight, you recalled your father's words earlier today on the way home.

“It seems that we had the same ideas, huh? Well, let's just say that it all came from your wallet this year… Next time, though, it will be my treat.”

- Mother's Day? Gifts? Dinner date? What the heck were you even saying?

- Your father was known for a lot of things, but if you ever had to list the most important ones, you'd go with: first of all, a very busy man; second, a serious, powerful deity that rules his domain with an iron fist. Never doubts, never stutters and won't ever stand for any kind of bullshit; and third, an a*hole.

- You loved him, you really did, and you knew it was mutual. Out of all his offspring, you were the only one that he openly cared for (Triton also made it into that list, but not nearly as close as you).

- You also knew that he loved Amphitrite despite his apparent inability to show it. It was difficult to understand until you reached a more mature age, but even so, you couldn't help but wonder why out of all his brothers, your father was the worst when it came to being affectionate.

- This God could be so stubborn and irrational sometimes, he immediately declined all the offers you did without time for explanations.

- Nevertheless, all you had to do was use your ridiculously adorable and convincing puppy-dog-eyes to get him to go shopping for gifts with you a day before the occasion.

- The things is, presents have become an almost insignificant thing for your father, and you couldn't blame him for it, in a way.

- Wealthy like no other, feared and respected by every single deity out there, it was tacit that anything and everything would get straight into his hands should he ever ask for it. So… Choosing gifts for Amphitrite was not easy because it probably didn't even cross his mind. He could get her anything she wanted, whenever she wanted, so what was the point of doing it for a specific day?

- On your side, you had very good ideas and got a rather large selection of gifts for your beloved mother. She wasn't all that complicated to please, really. Handmade details and useful presents were her favorite, and you already had those prepared months back in your chambers.

- But your father was having a rather… Difficult time with this entire ordeal. You could say it was almost comical to see him glaring at a necklace made of blue pearls, as if it would burn from his gaze alone.

- Though, more than disgust or contempt, it was a look of condescension.

“Papa,” you approached him with a little smile, trying not to laugh at his expression, “I can tell you're having a hard time choosing something for mom… Need any help?”

- No response, he simply scoffed and turned around, leaving you alone with the servants at the boutique.

- Whatever, you kind of expected a reaction of sorts so you just shrugged it off and continued to look around for more presents. Your mother deserved to be spoiled, and everything was going as planned.

- Except for one little surprise you definitely did not foresee for the night; your father, sitting at his desk with a painfully focused expression as he inserted a new pearl in the thin, delicate and almost invisible silk threads. The gems gleamed with a soft blue light, but they also had this purple tone to them that turned pink at a certain angle. It was so beautiful…

- Wait, was he making a necklace? Ooooh, so that was it. He was glaring at the jewelry earlier today because he thought he could do better than that. Typical move from your tyrant of a father.

- But what made for a truly heartwarming sight was the tiny hint of a smile on his otherwise stoic face when he finished the necklet and held it up against the moonlight that entered through the skylight, and how he made sure to set it down gently inside a small gift-box that he grabbed from a drawer.

- Once again, you simply smiled and quietly leaned against the doorframe, not making a sound as to not disrupt his little moment.

- You immediately knew that your mother was going to be elated to receive a handmade gift from her usually cold husband.

- … Well, even if you knew that he was most likely going to deny the love allegations and hide it all behind a predictable “doing it out of pride and not because he knew that his wife liked handcrafted details” bullshit argument.

- The gift was what mattered, anyways!

- Quite the opposite from the other two, your father was even more excited than you at the prospect of Mother's Day.

- He loved Eve so dearly that any excuse to spoil her rotten with riches and gifts was valid. And you thought the same, because your sweet mother deserved it.

- However, Adam always ended up making it feel like a competition, which wouldn’t have been so bad if it weren't for the fact that he's always loved to rub it on your face every time he felt like he won.

- But this year? You wouldn’t let it happen again. You had enough!

- You grabbed your bag, your absurdly long list titled “present ideas for mama Eve A.K.A. Best Mama Ever” and headed out.

- … Welp.

- Time skip to six hours later, you had practically run through almost every single store your could find, and always came out with at least two items.

- Purse? Empty. List? Overdone. Brain? Fried? Blood circulation? Cut short because of all the heavy bags you were carrying. What's it called? Yeah, a successful shopping trip.

- Life was all sparkles, birds chirping and smiles, until…

“What?! You did not just get all of that for your mother!” That was your father's voice, and much to your utter surprise, he was holding lesser amount of items in his own arms (barely two or three bags less than you, actually).

“Papa! Do you need help carrying th-“ you paused, taking a few seconds to process the sight in front of you before an almost wicked smirk formed on your face. “Hah! I win, you old man! Time is up and I got mama the most things!”

- Adam was visibly irked by your mockery, but you were right, time was up because Eve was probably home waiting for the two of you, and taking extra time to get her more stuff would only allow you to go home to her faster. Crap.

- … You guessed right again. A race, which ended up in a tie after you both slammed the front doors open at the same time and with the same intensity (insanity).

“Mama!”

“My love!”

- At the sound of your voices, Eve came downstairs immediately. She was getting ready to go out after Cain and Abel suggested to go out for dinner, to celebrate the special day as a family.

- And oh, how beautiful she looked with her long, blonde hair styled up with soft curls, wearing a mesmerizing emerald green dress, and her angelic smile that always managed to outshine the sun itself.

- Your mother was the most beautiful woman in the universe, and both you and your father sighed contently at the sight of her.

“You are finally home! I was starting to get worried wh- ah!” Before Eve could continue, you shoved a flower bouquet in her arms while Adam quickly stood behind his wife, holding up her hair momentarily to put on a beautiful necklace with a leaf charm on her snow-white neck.

- Just like that, twenty more minutes passed, with you and your father practically burying your mom under her gifts one by one, until she had to laugh at the absurdity of it all. The two of you looked so comically concentrated on the gifts that all Eve could was grin warmly while being showered with your gentle (not really) affections.

- The sound of her laugh was enough to snap you out of your little trance, and seeing Eve so happy, overwhelmed with joy, you two finally toned it down a bit.

- In the end, you looked up at your dad and laughed in sync, not caring anymore about your silly little competition. At least, not for the time being. All that mattered was that your mother was happy and ready to enjoy a fancy meal and some quality time in family.

- Next year, though, you were definitely going to crush that old man of yours.

Wing hcs for the seven (+reyna and nico). Because I got bored and they should have wings.

Jason- Swan. Specifically the wings of a trumpeter swan. Large, majestic, maybe a little tragic, pure white and just benefiting of a son of Jupiter and praetor of the legion. He probably spends hours after battle grooming the blood/monster dust/dirt out of them and it’s one hell of a self soothing habit by that point.

Piper- White-Tailed Kite. She’s probably the fastest of the seven, constantly has people asking if she’s got dove wings and it’s lowkey grating on her nerves. It’s a kite, not a glorified pigeon thank you very much. Her and Jason will take turns grooming each other’s feathers though, and it’s lovely bonding time for them both.

Leo- Common Raven. Either signifying knowledge/innovation or the burden of being omened by death, your choice. Who am I kidding, he definitely sees them as bad luck. Clipped on one side from a foster home or possibly when he had a runaway attempt from wilderness camp. Rarely has them out, and stress tears out his own feathers.

Annabeth- Barn Swallow. Kind of plain, but she just lies half the time and says that she’s got owl feathers. Post Mark of Athena, she’s more proud of them and her place among her peers with more exotic wings. Also Percy’s the only person with blanket permission to touch and groom her feathers. Also has a stress tearing issue, but her siblings and partner are good at catching her before she can damage herself too badly.

Percy- Common Kingfisher. Still good for flight, but also allows him to dive and hit the water without worrying about not being able to surface afterwards due to being waterlogged. Bit redundant since he can dry himself off anyway thanks to Poseidon powers but the point still stands. Plus, they’re blue and he’s absolutely chuffed that they are.

Frank- *insert american bald eagle jokes* jkjk. Red-Tailed Hawk. Although he didn’t get his adult feathers until he unlocked his shapeshifter abilities and matured there. He can also change his wings to different ones when he concentrates but it always feels a touch off, so he sticks with the wings he was born with.

Hazel- Golden-Winged Sunbird. Pretty! Unique! Gave her a lot of shit for it in her first life because of course the cursed girl with the death jewels had gold wings. She’s gotten alot more comfortable with having them since meeting Frank and Nico though.

Bonus!

Reyna- Hispanionlan Amazon. Yes, the green clashes with the purple of her praetor cloak. No, that will not stop her from still wearing it. Her and Hylla’s wings match, although Hylla dyes her feathers black in an attempt to seem more intimidating. Reyna tried once and decided that she preferred the original coloring of her wings.

Nico- Cinereous Vulture. Go look up photos, trust me. Absolute wet cat of a bird. Plus honor and respect in death, and like a vulture, Nico is also a scavenger. His wings are missing feathers from neglecting to groom them + the amount of time he’s spent nomadic. Living at camp full time is helping with the feather regrowth however.

Hades

Hades is a really caring and loyal lover, your well-being become one of his prioritys, and seeing you so angry at others makes him worried at first

He will ask you about it, if there is a reason of why you hate people so much (like you had some bad experiences or people treating you badly) he wants to know to be able to help you

But if there is no reason and is just the way you are then he just let you be and stop worring too much, also he won't tell you that is bad or something, he fell in love with you for yourself after all, you don't have to change if you don't want to

If you really don't like people then you don't have much to worry about since in the underworld there is not much people neither in the palace, just the servants and guards and they always treat you with respect (even Hades makes sure of it, he won't tolerate any offence to your person)

Hades will actually notice your soft spot for him, he is pretty observant so it won't be difficult for him to find it out, and this make him feel loved and probably will tease you for it once in a while. Also he will take advantage of this but just to make sure you don't cause get in troubles

With time he just get used to your behavior towards others and start to find it rather funny (especially when you ended up fighting with Zeus, is like watching two kids fighting for something silly)

If you want to complain about someone he is always up to heard you out (and is actually a big contrast seeing you complaining angrily about some idiots while Hades look at you with so much love)

If you have a sharp tongue and tend to insult people he won't like this too much, he will try and make you stop doing it (or at least not too much), not like he force you to be polite to everyone but at least not insult others out of nowhere (but if that person was bothering you in purpose then you have his permission to say whatever you want against that person)

Since the first moment he notice your attitude against the rest of the world he find it rather funny, specially if you don't have problem with showing it. If you actually show that attitude against him too when meeting him then you have his complete attention, no one dares to think to act like that against the emperor, is have been a long time since someone treat him like that but he doesn't mind

He doesn't mind at all your hate for everyone, is just the way you are and he loves you. Also, he isn't worried about you hating him, he is confident that you love him as much as he loves you!

He wont notice your soft spot for him at first, it would take a while but he little by little will be noticing the suble signs you give of your softness for him, how you seem more relaxed, how your smiles aren't ones of rebellious but of sweetness or how you even express love and happiness instead of hate, all of that make him feel super proud of himself (and his relasionship with you), and he will one day just bring it out of the blue to the conversation while hanging out with you, you can denied or accept it right away, either way he already found out and you can't stop him from teasing the hell of you for it, and neither stop him from showing off this fact to the rest of the world (he is just full of pride and love for you that he can't help it, and he had never been the shy type)

After a while he will ask you about your hate for others, most out of curiosity than anything else, if you say that it is for just because that is the way you are then he will laugh at it (he isn't too satisfied for the answer but it just let it be), but if there is a reason then he will want to know more about it, and will insist on having to know (if there is someone to blame he will want to take care of it)

Whenever you complain about someone or something he hears you paying close attention and he even get carried away with the conversation, he is always making comments but they are never are to scold you or saying that you should stop, they are more like dramatic reactions or things he say like "they were really an idiot" or even "it sounds like they deserved it"

He won't tolerate any kind of offense against you, and he doesn't like whenever you end in troubles neither in physical fights, but he is a fair leader so before making any judgment he prefer to hear the story and how you ended in that situation, if you actually was the one who cause the trouble then you will get a punishment, nothing too serious though (but that doesn't mean he didn't feel bad about it)

Jack the Ripper

Jack will notice inmediatly the feeling you hold against everyone else since the first moment he met you thanks to his ability to see the colors of the people. He was intrigued and curious the first time he sees you so he decided to watch you for a while before finally approaching to you

He isn't strange to those feelings and neither to when those feelings go against him, so he didn't mind when you greet him no so kindly when you first met him

Again, thanks to his ability he will notice inmediatly when you start changing with him, he notice how your colors start changing every time you hang out together (even before you two start dating), how those colors little by little change from ones of hate to ones of happines and even love. Jack enjoys every moment he spends with you, doesn't matter if is a romantic date or just hearing you complain about other people (over tea, of course), he loves even those moments, he loves seeing all your expresions and colors

He actually doesn't mind hearing you complain about others, he find it quite funny (and he will never turn down an opportunity to pass time with you) and he just interrupt you to ask for more details or with a soft laugh

Also he will never force you to act kindly or polite with others, if you don't want to you don't have to, you can just relay on him for that kind of things (he is a gentelman after all), and if you ever get in troubles for you attitude he will always help you get away with it and ask you to be more careful next time

If you ever tell him that you hate him (obviously joking) he knows you didn't mean it, and sometimes he playfuly fight back saying that you love him more than you like to admit, even so, deep down in his heart he doesn't like the idea of you actually hating him, he won't force you to love him but he will hate for you to look at him with all that hate again

Jack is actually pretty curious about the reason behind all your hate but he will try to find out by his own, in case he didn't get the conclusion he wants then he will ask you about it (but he do it so casually, like is nothing) if you don't have a reason and is just the way you are then he will just let it be (but he isn't fully satisfied with that answer), but if there is a reason why he will get more serious and ask you about it (in a gently manner of course, and he is ready to comfort you if you need it), and if there is someone to blame for it then he will makes sure to take care of the bastard it (even if you say that you don't mind it anymore)

Thor

Thor doesn't care for anyone opinion of him or your relasionship (unless it upset you), the only thing that is important for him is that he loves you and you love him

He doesn't like to hear people talking bad about you either, he isn't someone who recurre to violence to solve things but he is intimidating and that is enough to no one wanting to mess with him so whenever he is around no one says anything

He doesn't get why you hate people so much, it could be because they have been treated you badly or maybe someone specifically made something really bad to you? If that is the case he has no problem to take care of the problem, you just have to ask

If you say that you don't know or just there is no reason then he will let it be but it still confuses him

When you express that you hate everyone he will ask you if you hate him too, the first times he was truly worried but soon it just become a joke between you two. If you answer that you hate him (joking of course) he will laugh softly and tell you that he knows that you don't hate him (and then it become a playful fight of you hating him or not)

He didn't even notice your soft spot for him at first, it was the others who notice how you seem more relaxed or how you express less anger whenever Thor is with you, and it would have to be them (or even you) who tell him this. At first he didn't believed it, but he will watch your behaivor more carefuly for a while and that is when he notice it (people better don't even think on taking advantage of this or else that idiot person will have to deal with a furious Thor)

You are free to complain about the idiots all you want he will hear all you have to say, he may seem like he isn't paying attention but he actually is, is just that he isn't the talktive type but he even ask you a few things here and there. But remember to make sure to tell him that he didn't have to "take care of the problem" or else that person will have to deal with him (just a threaten, unless he sees you more angry/upset than normal becouse then it will be more than just words)

If you used to get violent or in more physical fights he will offer you to try other ways to let out that anger and energy (maybe you two can train together) he just doesn't want you to get un trouble or, even worst, injured

Also, he probably will try to keep away Loki of you, we know how he is, he will happyly try and taste your limits

Beelzebub

He can actually understand you, he doesn't like other people either, everyone fear him or sees him with disgust and he prefers to be alone

He doesn't mind you hating him at first, it wasn't new (he even hates himself), what was a surprise is that you two ended up dating, he was scare to get close to someone again but now that he is with you he is really happy for it

Again, he doesn't mind at all that you hate the rest of the world but he sometimes wonder if in reallity you hate him too, but he doesn't dare to ask you, he is afraid of the answer. He is used to be hated for everyone but since you became really important to him he doesn't know if he would stand you hating him (even if he feel like he deserve it)

You can complain all you want with him about all the other people and how idiotic they can be, it may seems like he isn't paying attention but he actually is (he find it quite funny and sometimes you can even get a soft laugh from him)

He gets quite protective over you (specially for his curse) so if there is someone who actually do something against you or makes you more angry than normal he will take care of it (he is a scientist and have quite dangerous creatures at his disposal that he doesn't mind using)

He notice pretty early your soft spot for him, at first it was just you getting more comfortable with him and when he notice he just tried to brush it off, saying to himself that he was just imagining things, but the more time it pass the more you show that you don't hate him (and actually like him) so he couldn't deny it much longer

Still, it would take some time for him to fully accept it, mostly because he doesn't think he deserve it, not after all the things he had done, but at the end he will accept it

The fact that you like him already make him feel flattered, but knowing that you hate everyone and still you warm up to him and love him makes him feel so special and loved

Everytime he notice hints of your soft spot for him (like when you were noticeably angry at someone but just by being by his side you start to relax) his heart skip a beat, and gets shy and a little embarased

He isn't too interested in the reason why you hate people so much but if you want to share it with him he will heard you (if there is someone to blame about this he probably will put and end to their life)

For being with Beelzebub you probably will meet Hades and Adamas too, if you seems to hate them he won't mind too much and will explain to them that you are like this with everyone at first, with time he hopes that you will warm up with them (at least with Hades)

Knowing Adamas attitude you two probably will have a lot of fights, Beelzebub doesn't like this but he won't stop you (unless it get physical and you end hurt) and most of the time he isn't even present, this situation is too loud for his liking

Plot: It's not the typical myth although it does share some similarities I've made some changes too to fit what I had in mind.

Genre: Angst, Fluff and eventual smut (not in this chapter)

Endless darkness. That's all his eyes have been seeing for the eternity of time. If only someone could imagine the depth of time combined with the depth of the darkness, they'd lose their sanity. Being a God grants you great power but being the God of the dead might not be seen as attractive as other God's kingdoms. Poseidon, ruling the vast sea or Zeus, ruling the mortal world. But death is the most powerful of all, Hades thinks, for it holds the power to diminish everything else. Whether someone was rich, privileged or one of a kind, after their passing, they are just part of the soul parade, a group of shadows with no purpose, just lurking around till the dawn of time. Maybe even after that. Hades has a bit of a reputation if you will, hated by most, if not all the living. The God's aren't fond of him either. He is too monotonous for their liking, keeps mostly to himself, he is on his own, just like what he rules, a lonely experience by default. His body is as immortal as it can be, a vast contrast between his surroundings. He stood tall and proud, well shaped and proportionate. His face chiseled and enigmatic, his prominent bone structure and intense gaze making him intimidating in a striking way. Appearance wise he looked no older than 25, but his soul felt awfully old. Maybe others were right to despise him. He can't stand himself either at times. A gloomy haze was his life, that seemed to have no end.

"A girl is playing around the lake, Lord" Thanatos, his trusted winged friend mentioned.

"She comes here often. She doesn't look human, but not godly either. More like a mixture of them too, not ordinary enough for a mortal, not divine enough for a goddess".

Hades decided to take a closer look after Thanatos' description. He is someone that likes to keep his thoughts and opinions independent, but he couldn't agree more. Her beauty was like something he'd witness before and something entirely different, all at the same time. She appeared delicate and gentle, her hands brushing through the bush, as the wind blew against her face. She seemed beautiful, but in a very different way than Aphrodite is. He didn't feel an ounce of lust for her, her vibes innocent and pure, almost angelic. The type of person you want to protect with your life, if he even had such a thing.

"Maybe she is a nymph? But she is someone I've never seen before and I keep up with them to say the least" Thanatos laughed, confirming his womanizer nature.

Hades laughed as well. His friend had a charm that drew others to him. Maybe they liked getting a taste of death while still alive, literally.

"That's true, you'd know her by now. I'm sure Artemis despise you, my friend. You are ruining chaste virgins left and right."

"Well what can I say? I'm popular with the ladies. I guess they might have a thing for my wings? I mean there aren't that many of us, even in the immortal world. But speaking of getting down and dirty, you haven't been laid in such a long time, Hades!"

The latter's eyes grew at the realization. He had some needs but they never bothered him to that extent. Keeping busy did the trick so far and he was more of an old fashioned man to say the least. His mistress was the night but he grew sick of her. They were too similar, he thought. He wanted some light to enter his world, a blinding brightness to shake him up and warm his icy heart. Or at least that was his persona, his mask. He knew, better than anyone, how much he felt and loved and longed for it. But he could wait for that, he had time, that's for sure.

"Mind your business boy" he said in a teasing tone but failed at intimidating his friend. Hades looked dark, dangerous even, until he became familiar to you. Once you made a place for yourself in his heart, he couldn't be further from that.

"Okay okay, I was just saying that it's a pity for you to go like that. But whatever makes you happy." He answered and raised both of his arms in a defeating manner. Thanatos knew that he was basically a brother to Hades, but he still wanted to keep their relations good, because he had the tendency to say more than he should.

"It's all good, I'm just teasing you!" Hades smiled his way and showed his dimples, the sweetest sight his kingdom had to offer.

Thanatos smiled back and took a look at the lake again, which they were able to see from the inside, as it was the main portal for the underworld. His smile quickly turned sour, and worry played over his handsome features.

"What is it?" Hades asked.

"The girl...seems to be in danger". Thanatos pointed out and Hades took a closer look. A wolf was some meters away from her, moving eerily elegantly for such a creature. Given the area the lake was, it seemed unlikely for an actual wolf to be there. It's size was extraordinary large too, all this made him believe it was one of Zeus' tricks again. A sudden surge of protective energy took over him and he wanted to save this poor girl from Zeus. She didn't deserve Hera's wrath either. None of them did. Hades took a hold of his scepter and pushed it on the ground. The lake started waving and it turned dark as if it was raining during a perfectly sunny day. The girl gasped at the sight in front of her and took a step back since she was almost right next to the lake by now. The waters were divided and a set of stairs showed up. When Zeus realized that the girl was about to escape, he started running towards her and she felt such an overwhelming fear that made her run without even realizing that this was probably a bad idea. She followed the stairs which turned to water again after each of her steps. As soon as she touched the ground, she broke down in tears and hid her face inside her hands, too scared to open them and face her destiny. But sometimes our destiny isn't as scary as we think it is, because there, in this dark and seemingly unwelcome world, she'd find a man with no soul, but more capacity to love than anyone else with a soul ever could.

rereading how annabeth describes her relationship with her father and her stepmom in tlt is so SO insane. there is absolutely no love lost there. i mean, i think on the most basic level there is, in the way that annabeth is 12 years old, and what 12 year old doesn’t want love from their parent, no matter how much their parent has hurt them in the past? (we see this directly paralleled with percy in tlt where he keeps thinking to himself/saying that he doesn’t care what poseidon thinks, that he hates his dad for abandoning him and sally, etc. but deep down he’s glad his dad claimed him and he wants to make his dad proud).

but when annabeth tells percy not to make a bargain with hades to save his mom, he asks her what she would do if it was her dad, and she says: “that’s easy, I’d leave him to rot.” And later, when percy asks if she’ll ever try living with her dad again, she says: “please. I’m not into self-inflicted pain.”

she was treated like an inconvenience; her father ignored her and resented her, so it’s a) no wonder she ran away, and b) not surprising that she clings so hard to her identity as a daughter of athena. she’s proud to be athena’s child. obvs her mom isn’t really in the picture either, but annabeth tells percy that when she ran away, athena helped guide her, and helped lead her to thalia and luke. in that way, athena helped get her out of an abusive household.

and the first time annabeth did try to go back home for a school year, she was back at camp by christmas, because it was that miserable. i don’t necessarily disagree with annabeth’s choice at the end of tlt to try again; she’s a little older now, more sure of herself, and percy’s advice obviously had some influence in her trying again.

but then the way frederick chase and annabeth’s stepmom are written in ttc, as concerned, kind parents. the flip got switched way too quickly and something just doesn’t add up, rick. annabeth’s descriptions are brutal and honest in tlt and i for one agree with her: frederick chase should rot in hell for how he treated his daughter.
