GM speedrun as soon as I got Killzael (last Thursday) HE TOOK 400 PACK POINTS AAAAAAA
This expansion's cosmetics (sleeve, tags and so) are so good, I want all of them.
Decks used during this run (5k->10k): Machina Portal and Rally Portal up until 6k, a bit of Evo Forest just because but I kept stuck on 6k, and then Artifacts until the end.
Shadowverse has been the game I've connected with the most, but, with the story coming to an end, it's also time for me to look for something new.
I'm still on the fence regarding Worlds Beyond, so we'll see.

So, if Light would be in first anime, then he would be the youngest member of Hiiro's group. Since back in first anime, Alice was 12 years old, making Light 11 years old, and being a Portalcraft chosen. (Alice right now is 15, and Light is 14).

While I don't know if there's anyone else in the intersection of SAF fans and Shadowverse players, I wanted to assign them different crafts!
Curt: Dragoncraft, 100%. Emphasis on action over some of the more strategy-focused decks and a focus on overpowering your opponent, I feel like he'd go for the defense-buff type of decks to be analogous to his tendency to push people away and hesitancy to open up, but I could also see a more discard-focused deck as well.
Owen as the DMA: Feel like this is even more obvious than Curt, but he'd be Shadowcraft. Dunno if he'd lean more towards Last Words or Burial Rites, but his main focus would be on Reanimation.
Owen post-reveal: Bloodcraft. Vengeance-focused. This was the first one I thought of and just... yeah, feel it's pretty obvious as well.
Tatiana: Hers was a bit trickier, but I've landed on Runecraft for her. Versatile, doesn't leave many openings for damage, good at laying in wait and moving behind the scenes before striking out with a powerful and decisive blow. Spellboost focus, especially powerful cards where you can reduce the cost massively with a little bit of effort.
Barb: Portalcraft! Nerd (affectionate), and using Resonance seems like something she'd take to easily. Also feel like she'd favor Artifacts over Puppets, but I have never successfully made a functional Portalcraft deck myself so I don't have more insight than that.
The Informant: I feel like they'd use mostly neutral cards and ones that involve transformation, like Fallen Angel and Harnessed Flame, but not sure what the best base craft for that would be. I think in the current meta I mostly see neutral-heavy decks using Shadowcraft, so possibly Shadowcraft?
Cynthia: Swordcraft. I feel like the Officer and Commander cards mesh well with her authority, and I feel like the concept of using Rally effects also fits with the concept of being the person who doesn't fight themselves but guides those who do.

I swore I talked about this here already but I can't find a post about it so I'll just say...
I got my boyfriend into Shadowverse and I'm hyped about it
The slow infection of me just... playing it to show my nephew and his boyfriend, then the boyfriend started playing it, then my nephew started playing it, then my boyfriend started playing it. Frankly I'm quite pleased with myself.
I'm almost sad that I couldn't get them into cardfight vanguard in the same way but honestly it makes sense where it's not as accessible and according to my boyfriend vanguard is just a more complicated game which I didn't even pick up on.
But that's why I said almost because having a card game I can enjoy with my dear friends who don't normally play them is really great :3c
And honestly I've just been sleeping on Shadowverse and only really started paying attention when they released their physical TCG.
Classes we play:
Me: I play Forestcraft, and that's mainly because of my boyfriend who's really into fairies, but I'm also trying Portalcraft because that's not in Champion's Battle, and now that I got my boyfriend playing I feel an urge to expand my horizons. I used my last ticket to get the Dragoncraft pre-built deck because I seemed to have a lot of success with that class in Champion's Battle.
Boyfriend: He plays Forestcraft, he's really new at card games so I'm glad I've been playing the class he has an affinity towards so I can help him along. I've been building lots of decks for him >:3c he also bought the shadowverse pre-built deck because he got a lot of good pulls for it, and Havencraft because of the cute creatures, I'm not sure how to play those as well tho. And we don't have a lot of cards to experiment yet so, it's just a matter of playing more I think.
Nephew: The only deck he has said he's had success with is Dragoncraft so far, and that's mainly because he describes as, "Idk what's happening I just put strong dudes down" and honestly Dragoncraft is conducive to that mindset. He was hesitant to try the ladder at first until I mentioned thst my boyfriend had been doing really well on it :P
Nephew's Boyfriend: The first victim of my special interest LMAO the next morning after I showed him Champion's Battle he downloaded it on his iPad. He loves Shadowcraft and Bloodcraft, but primarily plays the former because of the Halloween-y aesthetic. He almost fell for the trap of tying your self worth to win rate, but I helped him by saying that he doesn't have to engage with the ladder or deck building until he's confident enough.
I've been trying to get this group of people into a card game, and honestly I didn't think Shadowverse would be the one :P their enthusiasm encourages me to be enthusiastic too, after all I was sleeping all this time until I had happened to show them ;-w- I'm excited to talk about it more with them :3c

People are complaining about one of the new power cards in Shadowverse, but I'm enjoying this meta being pretty control oriented.
It's not like there isn't strong aggro decks, because there are two powerful aggro decks in Ghost Shadowcraft and Machina Portalcraft.
And there is even a decent mid range deck in Rally Swordcraft.
But people always complain that "X class is dominating the meta"
I don't care about that as long as it's not the top class for forever fuck Shadowcraft, all my homies hate Shadowcraft
The problem card isn't even Jeanne in my opinion, but Diamond Master being a Raigeki on legs that goes face, buffs another follower for them to go face too, and cannot be destroyed by card effects.
Jeanne makes a big board on 7 play points, but so does every other deck how's win condition is a big board!

[HOS] Heroes of Shadowverse: Portalcraft cards' first impressions.
Shadowverse’s “last” expansion starts tomorrow, a whole set of renascent cards full of characters and lore from the story mode will arrive and, hopefully, fill the next three months with the nostalgia and the competitiveness that makes this game one of my favorites.
From early reveals, some classes are getting menacing finishers, while others, like Portalcraft seem to be full of support for all the playstyles available on rotation. Artifacts, Control, Evo and Machina will all be getting new cards to push the class forward, but are they strong enough?
Time to read the whole set and find out.
Bronze Cards:
Nameless Impulse: From RSC, the EP recovery stays but the draw is out, instead it becomes an artificial 0-cost from mid to lategame. The card itself is not exactly a new staple, but it could fit in Evo or Control builds. 3/5
Overgrown Wretch: Illganeau’s token is back, and the old Rally Portal did not use the bronze card itself. The story might repeat this time, unless a new aggro deck enjoys not having board presence. 1/5.
Metal Mammoth: This Machina card is now Evo Support and a seriously strong wall from turn 8 onwards. Some of the new cards do extra effects if you have an 8-cost in hand, and this one might fit the bill for Machina portal or Evo Portal. 4/5.
Outmodded Warrior: I see this one more as Machina fodder than as an Artifact card, but it is a new name still. Kinda expensive a 3 tho. 1/5.
Silver Cards:
Dual Sword of Severance: Maysia tokens returning would’ve been great, but this card is not that bad anyway. On the right targets it becomes a free removal, so it will see some play, either early on the expansion or as a later tech. 3/5.
Mass Produced Enforcer: It stopped giving a bot token but now has unconditional rush, a nice trade in my book. As it did before, this one is a staple in Machina Portal. 5/5.
Fettler Coyote: 1 cost 4/4 is not something to ignore, all this PP recovery lines up for a spam of cards whose pay off I’m still unsure of. It might see play, specially in control portal, because it’s not a bad card, but doesn’t have an obvious place. 4/5.
Gold Cards:
Duel with Destiny: This new version doesn’t have the dual effect but it is still strong, the Yuwan side goes nice with Artifact and control, while the Belphomet side is perfect for his Machina/Control goal. 5/5
Sparksting Archaelogist: Card’s good on a vacuum but it has strong competition with Jasper (Carnelia), Agyll must be your first Evo everytime, so… This is, maybe, a 2-of in artifact, because this guy on curve is annoying. At worst it’s a fusion target. 4/5.
Legendary Cards:
Illganeau, Restored Wretch: Rally 20 is achievable in artifact, but the decklist is getting kind of tight. It’s a good card overall, so it might create his own deck. 4/5
Belphomet, Loretaker: His Fusion effects are a nice addition and his menacing turn 8 is still a threat, Machina-Control might enjoy this card but his place in the metagame looks hazy. 4/5. Hope to be wrong.
Postapocalyptic Girls: A 3rd legendary card and it’s an original! These girls are a valuable addition to artifact portal, and their side of resonance might pair well with chaos aura and control builds, emphasis on “might”, because those analyzings clogging the deck are something to watch out. 5/5
Overall the power level of these cards is low, but the synergies are really high and portal has at least three decks for climbing, I will miss Enhanced Portal and Killzael, but the latter has a skin I’m dying to get and the new environment looks fun to try.

youd think with the introduction of a new class, i would be working on trying to make a deck around new mechanics, but no, still dicking around with golem/burn rune and. er. that’s it.

When it comes to deck building in Shadowverse, I’m like a three out of ten, I think? I know enough to differentiate between the major types of deck style in each craft, but I’m still in over my head when it comes to synergy on a card-by-card basis.
...that’s why I like Dragoncraft, because the “powerful cards, can get more powerful if you have more play points and many have Storm” play style works well for me.

CaptainSparklez was my first comfort youtuber, i've watched him since 2011 and love his content just as much as i did when i was a kid. I still go back and watch his portalcraft ultimate videos sometimes when i'm feeling down, and his death swaps are currently my favourite. He's the first person who's made me want to become a content creator.
