hi chelley fans. it is time. i’m so excited for this week i’ve drawn SO much lmao❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

first day is roleswap/cuddles, decided to mix both prompts xP designing core/android chell for this was SO fun!! since her whole shtick is being abnormally stubborn, i thought her purpose would be exactly that. a Persistence Core who never gives up… and hates humans (and Aperture. Obviously), probably a slight bit more than the average robot, to mirror her hatred for AI in the og 😭 in the chelley server we were discussing how core chell would be like and i love the idea of her communicating with beeps and speaking in morse code— something that human Wheatley doesn’t know how to decipher so they do have big problems of miscommunication, even here 💔💔💔 anyways i love them and i will definitely be drawing roleswap chelley and android chell more in the future 🧡

alright, here goes nothing.

after much deliberation and way too long of a wait, i've elected to post the draft here on tumblr. with all of the recent news about AO3 being scraped by various douchebags looking to profit, this is the safest option i have right now.

there are 5 chapters (the fifth being the most unfinished) with roughly 6,000 words in total. i'll be breaking up each chapter into separate posts, starting with this one. and as previously mentioned, i'll be answering any questions people have about it :)

without further ado, here is the out-dated, unfinished manuscript for my roleswap au entitled "The Portal"

Rob was a little on edge.

He was about to test a new machine. One that would be his last resort if everything else failed. If his calculations were correct, when he pulled the lever, the machine should rip open a gateway to an alternate universe.  

In case his main plans failed, he would use this device to evacuate as many people as possible to an alternate dimension which would hopefully be safer. 

That is, if he could get anybody to listen to him. Rob grimaced. He hoped they would. He really hoped they would.

He clicked on the camcorder.  

“Okay, so, this is test one of The Portal. Current date and time is…” He checked the date.  “The 12th of July, 2019; exactly five o’clock, p.m. If this thing explodes and kills me I'm blaming you, Gumball,” he said. “...I’m kidding. Why would he even be watching this?” Rob sighed and shook his head. “Whatever, I'm turning this thing on.”

As he pressed buttons and flicked switches, the machine began to hum to life. A shuddering motor rumbled as the rows of TV screens flickered on. Slowly, the wall of screens went to buzzing static. The grainy light from each screen then began to expand—out from the light—out from their glass prisons. Bit by bit, static began to seep out of the screens and drip down the glass, thick and flowing like honey. The droplets of static began to swirl towards the center of the portal, swept up as if caught in a vortex. So far, so good. 

He went about turning on all of the fans, which quickly formed an air current that he hoped would negate the vacuum of the forming portal—a swirling mass that grew stronger every second. He prayed the layers of duct tape, hot glue and rubber cement would be enough to hold down all of the fans. 

The piece powering the machine seemed to thrash and flail. The broken joystick jumped up and down—back and forth, but stayed in place. The static pool almost covered the wall of screens. Rob let out a breath of awe. The portal was nearly there. 

With great effort, he began to pull the final lever. 

Over the noise, he heard somebody pound on the door of the warehouse. At first Rob tried to ignore it, but eventually the noise became so incessant that he gave in. Letting out an angry huff, Rob picked up a crowbar and stormed over to the door of the warehouse. He already knew who it was before he flung the door open. 

“Go away!” he yelled. “I'm busy!”

“With what?” Gumball asked, yelling to be heard over the noise. 

“It doesn't matter!” Rob said. “Now go away!”

“No way! You're up to something, aren't you?” Gumball tried to look past Rob. “Is it something for me? I bet it's something for me! Ooo, is it a surprise?! I love surprises!  Lemme see!!” Gumball made grabby hands and started towards him. 

“No!” Rob jabbed him back with the blunt end of the crowbar. “Can’t you come back and bother me later?”

He cast a glance back at the machine, which was starting to shake. Red lights were flashing and smoke had begun to seep out from the dark metal frame. The portal was nearly complete, but the liquid static was forming into tendrils which reached out from the glass wall. They felt around blindly, but with purpose—like they were searching for something to snatch up.

While Rob was distracted, Gumball ducked under his arm and ran into the warehouse. Rob scrambled to grab him, but he was a second too late. Gumball had seen the machine already, and his jaw on the floor. 

Rob didn't waste time. Dropping the crowbar, he ran back to the lever and shoved it the rest of the way down. He just barely avoided the grasp of a tendril that brushed up against his arm. The screeching alarms blared even louder than before as he ran over to Gumball, grabbing him by the arm and pulling him behind a stack of wooden crates. He slammed an arm over Gumball’s chest and pressed both of their backs against the crates, branching for impact as Gumball began to protest—

FWOOSH!

A blinding flash of light engulfed everything. 

For a few seconds, all he heard was a dull, ringing sound.

Then he began to hear Gumball’s muffled voice through the ringing. It was bumbling and incoherent, but still there. Rob tried to focus and center himself--but that was kind of hard to do with someone shaking you by the shoulders. He pushed Gumball away. 

“Rob? ...What was... Hey... listening to me?”

Rob couldn't make out what he was saying, but that didn't matter. He willed himself to stand and peeked out from behind the crates. 

The Portal was open. 

An almost blinding tear in reality, writhing with static, just barely contained by the door’s mechanisms. The tendrils of static were gone, as if they’d never been there in the first place. 

He stepped out from behind the stack of boxes and began to approach the glowing opening. The ringing sound was starting to fade, being replaced by the whirring of fans. Gumball ran out in front of him and threw his arms out to the sides.

“Rob, what is going on?!” he asked, his voice clearer now. Gumball pointed at the rumbling machine, trembling. “What the what is that?”

“Another way out,” he said, shoving past Gumball. 

Rob picked up the camcorder and checked if it was still recording. It was. He made sure it was safely secured to the end of the yardstick. Holding the camcorder by the other end of the ruler, he cautiously approached the portal and stopped just a few feet from the opening.

Gumball watched, bewildered, as Rob crouched down and carefully slipped the camcorder into the buzzing static.

Soooo I've been thinking about this roleswap au that I made and how Eda and Stan's backstories would change in accordance to their new setting, and here's what I have so far:

- Eda and Lilith's conflict stems from Lilith feeling like her accomplishments aren't recognized by her parents because they're always more worried about taking care of Eda (she's chronically ill, because in toh her curse is used as a metaphor for that so I thought it would be cool to include it here). And like Stan and Ford they never communicate about it, so it ends up souring their relationship

- Their fall out happens because Eda accidentally breaks Lilith's project, and Lilith assumes she sabotaged her on purpose. Then they fight and Eda decides to leave the house to get away from her sister and also her overprotective mom

- Fast forward a few years, Lilith calls for help from Eda because she was tricked by an entity she thought was her friend (Belos). They fight, Lilith goes through the portal, Eda steals her identity and spends 30 years working to bring her back, you know the drill

- So in this au I thought about making Luz and King twins, but then I had the idea of King taking Soos's place as the adopted son figure who works in the shop since it would kinda match with their canon relationship, so instead Luz and Vee are sisters here, and Vee's adopted. Idk if they would actually be related to Eda or not, maybe her and Camila are friends and she asks Eda to let her kids spend summer with her or something

Now to Stanley:

- So like. The whole "six fingered freak" stuff kinda doesn't work anymore because this is the boiling isles and everyone's weird here. I still want Ford to have six fingers because it's an iconic part of his character, but it's just seen as a normal thing in this setting so it doesn't change anything

- Ford has an afinity for all types of magic, and he wants to join the emperor's coven so he can be allowed to study and use all of them. Stanley's also good with magic, but since he doesn't pay attention at school and doesn't care enough to learn more than he has to, he's known as the "dumber twin", even if in practicality they're on the same level

- To be honest idk how the whole curse thing would go. Maybe Ford is manipulated by Bill (who takes Belo's place in this au) to curse his own brother in exchange for joining the coven because he sees potential in him? Well in any case, Stan gets cursed and attacks Filbrick while in his owl form and that's how he gets kicked out

- Maybe Soos could be King in this au, since I don't want Stan to just be all alone and I think they'd have a cute dynamic

- Mabel and Dipper end up in the boiling isles after they ditch summer camp and end up with Stanley. Dipper doesn't like him at first, but Mabel thinks he's really cool and she wants him to teach her magic (which Stanley eventually does, begrudgingly). Dipper really likes the boiling isles and wants to learn everything he can about it, so he ends up getting into Hexside (followed by Mabel who wants to learn more about the magic system so she can become the coolest witch ever)

- By this point Ford is working with the emperor and trying to catch Stanley because he thinks he can find a cure for the curse (Bill told him so, and he'd never lie to him, right?)

How did you come up with roleswap Elfilis' design? It's really cool!

Hi! Thank you so much! :D I'd love to share my thought process! Gather round the armchair by the fireplace, friends! It's story time!

I've said before that the Forgotten Land Roleswap started off as a doodle that swapped Dedede and Bandana Dee's roles as Player 2 and the Brainwashed Beast. But when I realized how fun that one little change was, how about EVEN MORE changes? That's how my one-time doodle turned into the full AU story. I swapped Meta Knight and Kirby, Clawroline and Leongar, and Sillydillo and Gorimondo- and because the story is so Waddle-Dee centric, I promoted Dedede to "Player 1" since the stakes would be higher for him as their King.

So now I had a story that had a lot of opposite traits to canon and I wanted to explore that further! When it came to the matter of Elfilin, I thought he would probably behave too similarly towards Dedede and Meta as he did to Kirby and Bandee. He'd be friendly and trusting, communicative, optimistic, knowledgeable, and cooperative. So how about providing them a travel companion who is defensive, has trouble communicating, a little wild, uninformed about themselves and the world around them, and has a bit of a temper?

But working with all these opposite traits didn't feel in-character for Elfilin anymore. So my natural next step was to swap Elfilin with Elfilis and make a new version of the Forgotten Land's lost little pup!

Enough yapping about the context behind my decisions, tho. How'd I come up with Roleswap Elfilis' design?

I see you out there, Fecto Forgo fans. Maybe somebody out there's thought, "Roleswap Elfilis does not look like them! Why not? That's what the other 50% of the Ultimate Life Form looks like! I demand justice for the angry glowing rat fetus!"

Maybe nobody has ever thought this. But I wonder sometimes lol

Your feelings are valid, friends. Please lemme explain my reasonings.

This fella, to me, is the abandoned wet specimen left to float in a jar for who-knows-how-long after a forcible physical and mental separation via spatial teleportation shenanigans. And I think part of their appearance is due to their role as the trapped and forgotten half.

The role of the half that got away fully formed his own body and inherited some traits from the complete being-

For Elfilin in canon, he got ears that are proportionally huge compared to the rest of his body, blue eyes that sparkle with the light of a thousand destroyed planets, a tiny bit of pink fur for his adorable blushies, and a really long fluffy tail. Maybe becoming a being free of chaos gave him those sweet eyes like Kirby and the Waddle Dees have.

My reasoning is that whichever half ends up escaping the Lab and fully forming their own body, they would carry the major physical traits the other wouldn't inherit.

Anyway, that left Elfilis with the horns, colorful and expressive eyes, whiskers, beige chest fluff, opposable thumbs, and pink tummy fur.

Elfilin gets the long tail in the bodily divorce so Elfilis has a short stubby little cotton tail like a bunny. Like if he ended up with just the very tip of the Ultimate Life Form's tail.

Behold this diagram above I came up with two years ago! Disclaimer: the canon Elfilin is the one in the chart. And I draw him a little differently these days lol. I ain't showing anyone how he ended up in the Roleswap yet tho!!!! >:0

But Roleswap Elfilis is more than just "baby version of the Ultimate Life Form..."

All the differences in the Forgotten Land Roleswap from canon stem from one event in the timeline. One change that I added to the events that were already supposed to take place. It's why the Ultimate Life Form split differently. Why the Beasts have different roles and aesthetics. Even why the portal took Bandana Dee and Kirby before Meta Knight and King Dedede.

How did that saying go again? The flap of wings somewhere can influence a bunch of huge changes somewhere else down the line...? What was the name of that theory again....? Hmm. Not important, I guess.

Anyway, the end!! You sly dog, you got me monologuing!!1! /lighthearted

Powder looked straight at him - no, through him - and then simply turned away as if he wasn't even there. Wow. Rude.

Good thing he'd set his expectations low for this reunion. It wasn't as if he'd messed with time and space to be here, or anything. It wasn't as he'd lost everything else and all his hopes were riding on this interaction not blowing up in his face. Otherwise her reaction might have hurt.

Pointedly ignoring the ache in his chest and the horrible thrumming in his head, Ekko leaned up against the side of the rooftop's billboard support girder. Waiting her out. After all, Powder hadn't taken a swing at him, and she hadn't left yet either. He took this as a positive step in their relationship.

What relationship? You killed her.

Killed her killed her killed her just like you killed everyone you cared about.

This isn't even your Powder and she still hates you.

You're a fuckup in multiple universes.

Powder was looking back at him again, as though realising that he wasn't just going to go away if she pretended he didn't exist. Her expression was profoundly unfriendly. Unsettling, even.

“Aren’t you supposed to be?”

Such a warm welcome. Ah, well. At least she was speaking to him now - that was a start. That was something he could work with.

"Probably," Ekko shrugged with practiced nonchalance, filing away that little detail for later investigation, even as his eyes greedily drank in every detail of her. She looked good, but also different. Different hair, longer and in twin braids. Different clothes. A custom pistol holstered at her hip - he hadn't seen that before. But the most striking difference was her eyes.

"...The pink eyes are new," he observed, quiet and dryly amused. So much for hating shimmer, huh? It looked like she'd gotten a taste for it, in the end. At least in this timeline, anyway. To have eyes like that she must be on a pretty damn high dose, too. He was surprised she wasn't covered in black veins.

Maybe she'd freshly fallen off the wagon and caved to the temptation of vice. She'd always had a daredevil curious streak. Still, it felt bitterly ironic that Silco's street drug had been such a huge point of contention between them - and here she was, high as a kite on the very substance she and her merry band of misfits had been set on destroying.

Her life must really not be going well.

"You picked up a naughty new habit, sweetheart? What's sent you so off the rails?"

“I thought you were gone. for good.” (Ekko - Portal AU)

There was no one left. 

Wasn’t that supposed to feel freeing? No more rules. No more lies. 

Everybody betrays us. 

A bittersweet smile danced across Jinx’s lips before dying into something entirely empty. 

Everyone. 

How stupid she’d been for not seeing it sooner. 

Vi was gone. Sided with the stupid Topsiders. Talk about irony. Silco was busy sharpening the knife he planned to sink into her back. And Ekko? Well. There were probably some bits of him left on that bridge along with all the enforcers. 

Good riddance. 

At least one of the three liabilities wouldn’t be coming back. 

It was strange to think back on. Part of it didn’t feel real at all. A surprising lack of hurt and grief followed the incident. Had she really lost Ekko on that bridge? A bleak, detached kind of consideration surrounded the thought. No. He’d been little more than an obstacle at that point- a challenge to shoot down like an arcade game. Even up until the end he’d looked at her wrong. Looked at her like he saw Powder. Something malicious swelled in Jinx’s chest at the memory of brown eyes widening with genuine concern, shortly followed by a flash of fear. 

She’d made him pay for that. 

But what to do next? Vi, Vi, sweet-as-pie had fled the scene (shocker!), and Silco remained blissfully unaware that his bargaining chip was onto him. 

He was all about the sudden need for ‘rest and recuperation’, whatever the hell that even meant. Could he have made ‘stay where I can easily trade you over’ any more obvious?! Fat chance. No. She had to move. She had to make a plan. Things were happening quickly and she wasn’t going to be the last to find everything out. 

Had they cleaned up the bridge yet? What about the enforcers, had they scurried back to their burrows after seeing a dozen of their friends getting blown to smithereens? What about the Firelights? Would they be circling from above, looking for parts of their fellow squashed bug? 

Given the current climate, going anywhere was probably a really stupid idea. 

It hardly mattered, Jinx thought to herself, moving effortlessly over one of her usual rooftop routes. Mere days ago (sporting fewer injuries), the same route would have been much more demanding. But everything felt easier now. Each lift, each jump and every climb felt fluid and effortless. Between that and the gemstone in her pocket, Zaun and Piltover had more to fear than the alternative. 

Mylo was louder these days. He didn’t always make sense. Sometimes his words weren’t even words. Would it kill the guy to hold a decent conversation once in a while again? The guttural snickers and snarls only fed the fluctuating agitation coursing through her veins. Shut up shut up shut up. 

Sometimes other faces showed up, even if just for a moment. 

A flash of Ekko standing on a far rooftop caused Jinx’s gaze to snap back. 

Gone. 

She continued, ignoring the shadows lurching and chasing in her periphery. 

Only once scaling to a comfortable height to survey the bridge did Jinx fall still. The mouth of Piltover had been blockaded. Enforcers were standing guard, although the worst of the mess had been cleared away. Bummer. It had been hard to appreciate in the thick of things. 

There it was. That ugly feeling was back- the kind that made the hairs at the back of her neck stand on end. Pink eyes snapped towards the ugly sensation, locking onto the familiar face that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. 

Ekko. 

Again, seriously? 

“I thought you were gone. For good.”

You just don’t know when to quit. Do ya?

Nice try, buster! I got plenty of voices without your self-righteous one gettin’ in the way. 

“...”

Cold, hollow eyes mapped Ekko, taking note of the mild differences. His outfit was different. He hadn’t exploded in that shirt. 

With a hefty degree of disinterest, Jinx pretended that she hadn’t heard the comment. These things always got worse if you acknowledged them. Mylo was bad enough, but at least Mylo occasionally had good ideas when he remembered how to talk. 

Anyway. Back to the plan. Who would be best to deal with first? Vi? Silco? The enforcer? What about that High Councillor dude? Now THAT would be a show. 

That same prickly feeling didn’t budge. 

Abruptly, Jinx’s head snapped back to check over her shoulder. 

Still there. 

Her jaw locked. 

What? Was this some beyond-the-grave attempt at being a conscience?! How pathetic. It wasn’t like she’d even figured out an exact plan of attack yet. 

“Aren’t you supposed to be?” Being blown sky-high was supposed to have that effect. 

From behind her ear Mylo babbled something unintelligible. 

Maybe if she said the right things this Ekko would go away. That worked with the ghosts sometimes. How different could this be?

Hmm…I guess with myself talking about Sonic from my Fursona. I think I should let you all know about an AU I made for it while I was gone.

The AU is called “Blockbuster,” and no, it has nothing to deal with the Sonic movie, given that term is normally used for such things. No, Blockbuster is a roleswap AU. I’ll write down the premise of it in a new paragraph.

Blockbuster is a roleswap for all the Echidnas being swapped with the Hedgehogs (Sonic and Knuckles, Amy and Tikal, Silver with Shade, and Shadow with Imperator Ix) along with other swaps and some symbolism and inspiration over cults, religions, and mythologies

If you wish to know what I swapped with what. I shall post them under the cut.

Sonic 🔁 Knuckles

Everything’s the same for Knuckles, but he doesn’t have the aspects of his personality that were due to being reclusive all his life, that being a bit shy and socially awkward…at least I think that’s something that would be caused by being a recluse.

Sonic is the same, but due to being the ME Guardian, he can’t leave the island for adventure. So he explores every nook and cranny on Angel island until Towers arrives, meaning anything from the future games such as the Ancients with their cyberspace portals, he has knowledge of that from the get-go.

Eggman role = G.U.N. Commander Towers

G.U.N. Commander Towers Role = Maria Robotnik

Maria Robotnik Role: Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik

Commsnder Abraham Towers goes by Commander Noah and wants to be dictator of the world as he sees it as too corrupt and sinful.

Maria in this AU no longer has NIDS and is able to live to the age of 62 (yes, going by Sonic X ages, sue me). Maria is very caring for her troops, even with a militaristic discipline, and she would be smart enough not to blame Knuckles in the events of my SA2 adaption.

You see that correctly. Eggman is now the one with NIDS and is the one to hang aboard the ARK with his grandfather to find a cure through “The Chaos Cure Project” (I would acronym this, but I don’t think that would be wise as it could get confused with a…party of sorts.) He would also meet the same fate as Maria in canon, that being shot down by G.U.N. Agents while saving Ix, all at the age of 9 years old.

Tails 🔁 Ray

Ray: Ray is the sidekick to Knuckles, but he’s not a mechanic, so the two would meet by Ray finding Knuckles gliding across West-side Island and admiring his gliding skills.

Tails: Due to Ray going silent after SegaSonic and Knuckles Chaotix, I had to improvise with Tails, so I decided on him being a nurtured and/or brainwashed personal scientist and researcher for Commander Noah, giving him all his mechs, robots, and studies into ancient history.

Vector 🔁 Vanilla

I only swapped the two to have Vanilla simp for Vector like how the latter does to the former in Sonic X lol

Vanilla is a member of the “Chaotix Adventure Group” (the CAG for short) along with her daughter, Cream, and their leader, Mighty.

Vector is just a calm, cottagecore man living out in the wilderness with his found family younger daughter, Marine the Raccoon.

Espio 🔁 Mighty

Mighty: Due to not being trained in stealth like Espio, The Chaotix would now be the an exploration group instead of a detective agency. He would behave like normal as he adopts Knuckles’s hat from the OVA and uses a reusable warp ring that can duplicate itself for great blitzing in his ball form.

Espio: He will just be a normal dude on the sidelines until the events of Heroes where he gets killed by Neo Mecha Knuckles for his camouflage bio-data.

Amy Rose 🔁 Tikal

Tikal: A more mellow fan of Knuckles and his accomplishments as a hero, but still finds her way to Little Planet to be kidnapped by Mecha Knuckles. She has a crush on him as well but is a bit more mellow about it. She also wields a giant Kendama instead of Amy’s Piko-Piko Hammer

Amy is now the daughter of Pachacamac (yes he still exists. I just changed him from an echidna to a hedgehog) and is the one who guides Knuckles and friends through the events of my SA1 adaptation. She still keeps her personality, so things might get a bit hectic between her and her father, probably a fight, even.

Metal Sonic 🔁 Mecha Knuckles

Ooohoohoo thank you! Yeah I can share some hcs - I’ll draw more for the au soon too!

-Obviously Betty is taking Simon’s role, and Bonnie is taking Marceline’s in the au

-since a flood took out Ooo instead of the great mushroom war they have to travel through a lot of flooded/dilapidated buildings, so they wear raincoats and rain boots to work with that

-Betty’s Magic Man hat is used the same way Simon used his crown - she only puts it on for emergencies and each time she does she gets a lil crazier afterwards

-Betty’s doing her best to be a good caretaker to Bonnie but she’s not always the best influence

Simon: “Vandalism is wrong, Marcy”

Betty: “Remember Bonnibel, trespassing is only a crime if you get caught”

-Bonnie usually fights with Betty over resorting to the Magic Hat when she does - Bonnie feels that, with her gadgets and genius, Betty should be putting more trust in her

-But Betty’s not about to put that much responsibility on a kid, no matter how smart she is

-Where in the og show Marceline learned to cope with Simon becoming the Ice King, Bonnie has a much harder time watching Betty become ‘The Magic Ma’am’

-Bonnie ends up being the one going stir crazy trying to put Betty back down the road

-At one point ‘Magic Ma’am’ Betty wanted Simon back so much she made a small time portal to the past and kidnapped him to the present - effectively starting past Betty’s downward spiral into madness

-Simon is doing a little better at adapting to Magic Ma’am Betty - he knows she’s a little off her rocker but he’s happy to at least be there for her during a mentally vulnerable time

-Betty likes to make little magic birds for Simon all the time

Something you wish had happened in the series?

Well there’s always the chronic thing of me wishing Rapunzel actually apologized to Cass like Cass apologized to her. Right now the biggest thing that I wish happened in the series is that we got to see a bit more of Rapunzel’s extended family besides Aunt Willow. She’s part of a royal family after all, there’s no way she doesn’t have a ton of aunts and uncles and cousins.

Another show you’d like to see have a cross over with Tangled?

Definitely either Dragon Prince or Vox Machina. I feel like some the character dynamics would be so hysterical.

I can’t pick just one so my top five favorite ones are

the New Moon AU in which Eugene and Rapunzel share the moonstone

The forbidden love au in which Rapunzel and Eugene were raised in their respective kingdoms and now have a secret romance going on and Varian, Lance, and Cass play matchmakers/chaperones

Roleswap AU, this one’s a lot more versatile but usually Rapunzel swaps roles with either Cass or Varian and she’s raised as an alchemist peasant girl and Eugene and/or Lance is the tutor to either Varian or Cass, depending on who’s the Lost Royal in the au

I don’t know if it’s an official au but @erazonpo3 had this cool Rapunzeltopia variant where Gothel never kidnapped Rapunzel and stayed to raise Cass and the canon Rapunzel and Eugene found that au’s Cass

And of course, post series au

Characters you think should’ve interacted at all or more?

Definitely Varian and Cass. Also Arianna and Cass because good god let the girl have a healthy mother figure. All of the Brotherhood, definitely. And also Lance And Rapunzel because wholesome sibling in law dynamics. Oh and I know they’re not in the show but I would’ve loved to see more of Rapunzel and Candor and Rapunzel and Dahlia

Favorite Tangled Fanfic

Oh man, I feel like I’m friends with all the good writers in the fandom. I’m still working on finishing reading them all and eagerly awaiting the rest but @th3p0rtalmaker, @majorabbey, @twotangledsisters, @flossy2003, @frozenwolftemplar, and @batata-doce-com-farofa all have such fantastic fics! You’re all such great writers and I love your work so much!

And also there’s this really great fanfic recently I found that was actually reccommended to me by @twotangledsisters called “The Fall” which focuses on Cass’s climb back up her tower at the end of CR.

Which character do you not relate to the most?

I think probably Frederic or Trevor, because never once have. I thought that kidnapping my crush or holding someone hostage was a good idea.

A big a opinion you have related to the Tangled movie/series?

This may be a piping hot take but just because Cassandra is introverted doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing or that she needed Rapunzel to break her out of her shell or even that she had no friends before Rapunzel. She doesn’t need Rapunzel to make her more likeable or socialize with people more or be more open. Being an introvert is perfectly okay. Hell, I myself am an introvert and if someone tried to get me to open up like that or be way too friendly towards me, I would also just dig my heels in or shut it out. And this take doesn’t even make sense anyway to me because Cass still barely interacts with anyone after befriending Rapunzel

So Sailor Dee and the other Meta-Knights do exist in the Roleswap universe! They didn't get sucked through the portal to the Forgotten Land- they were all back at the Halberd when Meta Knight was giving his report to Dedede in the very beginning of the prologue. However as an important part of Meta Knight's life they will be mentioned and discussed a couple of times! Perhaps even in a flashback or two

So while they won't make a true appearance in the actual Roleswap comic, their influence is present :) I do want to draw them all more in the future!
