the interesting thing about the pokemon gender stuff you reblogged is that in pokémon mystery dungeon: gates to infinity, you never choose your gender, and you are given a completely gender-neutral experience. i think cis people probably wouldn't notice at all that pronouns were just completely omitted. japanese language and culture aside, i played in english and it wasn't awkward. it was incredibly comfortable in ways cis folk can't imagine.

That’s really cool, and great to know! I honestly had no idea that game even existed, but then again I don’t really know a whole lot about Pokemon canon in general, so that’s understandable. 

But I think it’s important to note, that when you DID have an experience in a game that wasn’t gendered, it was rewarding and good for you in a way that you hadn’t been able to experience elsewhere, where the game is always gendered and forces you into a gender box. (At least, I hope that’s what you meant by this, and that I’m not assuming something completely wrong here.)

i love how your blog is truly intersectional and covers so many important issues with a definite focus on the people who cannot afford to deal with bullshit within the white feminist agenda, like the impoverished and mentally ill. you are really inspirational to me.

Yeah intersections are vital. They also help to reinforce the importance of intersections of oppression that we don't personally face to us too so yeah. We try to be as intersectional as possible- for our benefit and everyone's!
