I honestly had the best time today at Popcon. This was my first time going to a convention and I definitely want to go to more!

I connected and talked to some great people and felt right at home!

Meeting chandler was so awesome and he was so nice. It was truly a lovely experience!

Liz Truss is the face of Popular Conservatism, and she said that "secret conservatives need to be represented." What does that even mean, Liz Truss? Perhaps it's people embarrassed to admit that they support the current Tory party.

And it was launched this morning and immediately schismed.

Liz Truss.

The woman who was outlasted by a lettuce. That Liz Truss.

Maybe she thinks that people like Jane Grey and she lasted five times longer than Jane Grey so people must like her five times more than they like Jane Grey.

Maybe they thought that you couldn't swing a stick without hitting a tory that was unpopular, so they went all in.

Which is why Jacob Rees-Mogg is also there, presumably.

No one in the history of ever has been more oblivious of their own failure than Liz Truss (who seems to believe that everyone around her failed her) except, perhaps, Donald Trump. But he's on a different level entirely, so it might be an unfair comparison. And let's not forget that, for reasons I cannot begin to fathom, Donald Trump appears to actually be popular with a disturbing number of people.

Just got back from PopCon Indy 2023, this was the haul I got. It was the first con I’ve been to since the pandemic and it was little brother’s first time to PopCon (which he almost didn’t go since he got hurt in a car accident 2 days ago), also saw the Completionist at a panel. The Lumity print is cute tho’ outdated since it’s Owlbert and not Stringbean. Apparently I was the first person that day to get that Shantae print and I had to get it since I gotta support that half-genie cutie. Princess Tutu art is always a must. Now that I’m pretty much done with the Pokémon part of my Pokédex, now I’m trying to get NPCs…unfortunately there’s some “waifu” cards that r WAY too pricey for now. 2 mini-Dakis of Loona and Shantae are the weird purchase for this con, lol. Got 2 new dice set for a maybe upcoming game of Curse of Strahd that my co-workers will be playing at some point. I couldn’t decide on which idol group to get so I got all 3.

Even tho’ I didn’t get as much art as I wanted, it was still a fun time. Hopefully one day I’ll b confident with my art (after a lot of improvement) that I could have a booth (…like that’ll ever happen)

Hello yes I spent all my money at PopCon this year 💀

BUT! It was the first time I went all three days so it was a ton of fun! And look at all these neat pieces of art! And four more lil guys for my collection of lil guys! AND I got Johnny Yong Bosch to autograph my Ichigo print!! 😍

And of course I forgot to take pictures of my outfits each day while I was there, but here’s the dragon ear cuff I wore for my Draken outfit and my Kenma uniform 🤓
