The One where a Poor Little Cabbage has feelings.
“A moment, Wayfinder,” the wizard called to her and she stopped in her tracks. Everyone else filed out of the council room, leaving just herself and Isgarren alone.
“Do you need me for something,” Apyl questioned him, a feeling of apprehension creeping up her spine. She really wanted a break. Nayos was safe. Peitha was on the throne now. The Kryptis were (mostly) no longer a threat to Tyria. She deserved a little rest before he sent her off again on another mission.
Sighing, Apyl slowly turned and walked back towards him by the window overlooking the courtyard below. She had accepting her fate. She would only get bored after a few days relaxing at the Grove, anyway. She was never one to sit still for long.
As soon as she stepped in range she felt her body freeze. The Seer made a beckoning motion with a hand and she found herself floating over to him.
“I could not help but notice your eye…”
That was all Apyl heard before she became incredibly distracted. One pair of his arms held her by the waist at eye level with him. The other was maneuvering her head from side to side as he scrutinized her. It felt oddly…intimate.
“You heard nothing of what I just said,” Isgarren remarked, flatly, narrowing his eyes in disapproval.
Apyl shook her head. Had he been talking this entire time.
The wizard sighed in exasperation. “Your eye,” he repeated. “There is a shar—”
“Oh! You mean the shard of Jormag's ice? It happened during the battle–well, you likely already know…”
“I could remove it for you, if you'd like. It's but a trifling matter to me.”
She couldn't help but notice how incredibly close his face was to hers as he inspected the shard of eternal ice lodged in her eye. Did the old man not realise how this looked? Apyl visibly shuddered as his thumb brushed against her cheek. Her body felt unusually sensitive where he touched her.
Apyl could hear her heart pounding in her ears. If Isgarren was speaking to her again, she couldn't hear it over the noise.
“A-actually, I don't mind it. It's rather useful for casting ice magic!” she managed to stammer out.
There was a pause from the Seer as he took a moment to consider what she had just said. Then with a wave of a hand, she found herself back on her feet.
“Very well,” she heard Isgarren say dismissively. She managed to steal a glance behind her as she scurried out of the room. She could have sworn he looked a little…disappointed?
As soon as she felt that she was a safe distance from the Wizard, Apyl slumped against the wall, sliding down until she was sitting on the cool stone flooring. She hadn't noticed how hot she had become. Why was her body reacting like she was facing an insurmountable danger?
I don't think I've felt this bad even facing down an Elder Dragon…
She made a mental note to talk to Caithe about it when she returned to the Grove. She had far more life experience than Apyl and could perhaps shed some light onto what she was feeling.

the two character groups don’t actually have a great deal in common as far as their actual personalities as individuals or their vibes as trios -- like, very little, honestly, most parallels between the characters themselves would feel really forced -- but thanks to some interesting bullet points they still share...i definitely did/do think about a ‘God and his Two Faithful Lyctors’ AU for the Three Sages.

hey eso cyrodiil players: is it common for daggerfall covenant players to message you lightly chastising you about waiting your turn to get annihilated... but then also upholding some strange sense of honor later on, not obliterating your ass when they clearly could have (and had previously. easily. many times)?

Again from my suyao hunger games story 😭 (content warning I have no idea if this is going to ping to anyone as necrophilia. But.)
“Goodnight, A-Shan. You’ll stay with me, right?” It wasn’t like he could go. Jin Guangyao settled himself in the bed, laying his head on Minshan’s shoulder, still draped in the white robes from Fourth District. Of course Jin Guangyao kept them clean, but he rarely changed them with anything other than more white Fourth District robes.
This week’s word is…

Jack and Maddy as Justice League consultants
As the world's foremost experts on ectobiology the Fentons are an invaluable resource, and their activities probably count as vigilantism, but The JL never invited the couple as official JL members.
Officially this is due to the Fentons being so specialized in ghosts and ectobiology. The Fentons are brilliant scientists, that much is indisputable. With their skills in biology, radiology, and engineering they managed to quantify a form of magic and pioneer a whole new field of study.
It's just that they can get a little… absentminded.
This ends up a moot point when Fentons (believing that the JL was about to invite them to join) state that they intend to focus on studying ghosts. But don't worry they would be happy to help out with any ghost problems!
…
edit: got rid of the duplicated paragraphs, Super embarrassing!!!
The League first became entangled with the Fentons when a young sorcerer named Nicolas Edgar Nolan, more commonly known as Nick Necro, launched an attack on the members of the Justice League. He sought revenge on Giovanni Zatara for rejecting him as a student when the stage magician discovered that Nick had become involved with a dark cult.
Nick had managed to get his hands on a gauntlet that allowed him to create gremlin-like servants by sacrificing the lifeforce of other creatures. (Unbeknownst to him, the artifact's original owner, known only as the Overlord, was locked away within the gauntlet. With each additional minion the Overlord gains more influence over the user) The dark sorcerer had sent these creatures to attack the Justice League, thereby leaving Zatara without his allies.
The artifact is eventually identified by Zatara as the Gauntlet of Tyranny, one of many curios that could be found in the Infinity Realm. Due to the gauntlet’s nature, its creations had the same properties as those of the Infinity Realm’s denizens, making them very hard to defeat.
At least they were, until a couple of crackpot graduates from the University of Wisconsin-Madison came blasting onto the scene.
Like everyone else in the world, the recently married Fentons were paying close attention to broadcasts about the latest alien invasion. Of course the couple were able to recognize the ghostly origin of the minion’s powers, and the pair immediately packed up their home-made ghostbusting equipment and set out on the most important cross-country trip of their life! (Unfortunately there was no way for them to fly out as the airport security refused to let them bring their blasters onboard)
Since Zatara’s main place of residence was in Gotham, that's where Nick Necro focused his attacks. It's also the direction that Jack and Maddy’s prototype Fenton Finder points them towards.
The Fentons make their way to Gotham with a trail of defeated minions and property damage behind them. Along the way they encounter Flash, Hawkwoman, and Captain Atom. The Fentons supply the heroes with their prototype ecto-based weaponry. Unfortunately the scientists don't wait to explain anything so the heroes are left to figure out who that couple was and how the gadgets work.
Flash is given a glowing baton that pops the minions on contact. Unfortunately it’s battery cant hold a charge and Flash has to keep repowering it with his lightning.
Hawkwoman is frustrated when the hard light ecto-blade keeps fritzing out, but discovers the nth-metal of her mace stabilizes it.
Captain Atom gets a giant tuning fork to his confusion. Eventually he figures out that by channeling his power through it the nearby minions are forcibly gathered at the fork’s end, and he can take them all out with one blast.
Upon arriving at Gotham the Fentons make their way to the city’s last operating clinic, arriving just in time to save doctor Leslie Thompkins. Together they fortify the clinic and set up a shield that keeps out all ghostly beings.
Poor Batman hasn't gotten a break all week. A mystery enemy had been ambushing members of the League. By the time they identified the culprit as Nick Necro the man had been able to gather enough forces to launch a siege against America's largest cities, with a special focus on Gotham due to it being the home of Nick’s target, Giovanni Zatara. Now some unknown vigilanties were setting up base in his godmother's clinic. Sure the couple claim to want to help, but Batman didn't get this far by trusting people at face value. He interrogates them about everything, why are you here, how do you know so much about the attackers, what are your devices, etc…
The Fentons are thrilled that this bat-themed fellow is so interested in their work and are happy to gush about it in between shooting minions. Batman is immediately given full access to their makeshift lab and equipment without so much as a thought to security or safety.
Baman begrudgingly teams up with the Fentons but will definitely do a more thorough (re: invasive) investigation on the Fentons later. But for now they cooperate to make a device that neutralizes the Gauntlet of Tyranny.
…
And that’s how it all started.
On one hand Jack and Maddie now have a support system of fellow scientists and vigilantes. On the other hand they are now heroes in the DCU.
Occasionally Jack and Maddie end up on comic book flavored adventures (I'm watching clips of Batman the Brave and the Bold while coming up with this). When they're gone the Fenton kids are usually looked after by their parents' work friends. Mr Terrific, Atom, Swamp Thing, Barry Allen, etc. At some point 12 yr old Dick ends up babysitting 6 yr old Jazz and 4 yr old Danny.

Cemy's Masterpost for TLT Analyses
Analysing things is my love language, so it's clear that I have a whole lot of TLT analyses. I want to collect them in this post, because I have trouble finding them myself. Much fun!
I'm an Ianthe stan
Ianthe and ADHD (my favorite analysis post of mine, I'm serious, it's very me-core)
Corona, Ianthe and the Threat of Killing Oneself
Ianthe is the Underling (she is such a good girl)
Ianthe's the Most Repressed Nun Third I've Ever Seen (Emotionally)
About the Thoughtfulness of Ianthe's Lies
Dying as a Skill Issue (Dying is for suckers, bitch!)
Ianthe apparently knows more than she says
The Unwanted Guest is a Genius Mindfuck (my very first post, click here to meet baby cemetegee)
Ianthe Goes Poetry
Ianthe is not the pure evil, but a very normal person
Ianthe Lore
Could Ianthe see Cytherea's Corpse?
Ianthe Must be Borderline Horny in TUG
Ianthe's Pain "Resistance" is OP
Ianthe's relationship to Corona (not gonna lie, probably neccessary to understand the posts above)
The Tridentarii Power Shift Dynamic
"Corona's Con" | Who's in Charge? (Whooo is in ControOoOl?)
Family Ties (or Third House culture?)
Corona hanged herself in in front of her eyes
The Tridentarii & Lolita
A very smart user said the Tridentarii would maybe only *perform* their Tridentariicest (maybe to disgust everybody from further investigations in their relationship?), and I'm OBSESSED with that take
Ianthe's Relationship to Babs
Ianthe and Babs Were Best Buddies (well at least a bit :(...)
Does Ianthe Regret the Murder of Naberius Tern?
Babs Died for her Plot Armor (that's literally the whole post, you don't have to click on the link)
Coronabeth Tridentarius: An Approach to her Character
Coroniphis & Ianthe (the explanatation for Ianthe's name seems to be more connected to Corona than to her)
What in Hell has she Done to Babs?
Than to Love and be Loved by Ianthe the First, Saint of Awe
Corona is a Very Third Person (Nobody Notices Somehow)
TLT Mechanics
How Could Cytherea Infiltrate Canaan House Without Being Betrayed by a Missing Thanergic Signature
Who/What is Kiriona Gaia? (my poor saddest girl in the whole world :()
How Could Wake Use Cytherea's body? (Necromantic Explanatation)
Why can Cavs and Necros Use Each Other's bodies? | How Could Palamedes Use Babs body? (just some basic theories about necromancy my friendos)
John "Jod" Gaius
Why Didn't Jod Heal Cytherea's Lung Cancer?
Jod is not Obliged to See Gideon as his Dauther, as Hard as it Sounds (Hear me out) (mostly about questioning blood relation as synonym for family in this case, what is also interesting to me in regard to found families)
Strange Pre-Ressurection Behavior Against Mercymorn
John is not the pure evil, but a very normal person
John was Pretty Fucked Up when he Decided to Kill the world (Correction to what I said in the post: he *did* technically kill her. Pulling out the soul of a body is dying by definition)
Hugs for John (I don't agree with his actions (such as for example killing the world) but his live can't be easy since then)
Any Thoughts About the Theological Implications of the character John "Jod" Gaius?
TLT Meta
Determinism in TLT
I Would Like to Talk About the Implications of TLT pls pls 👉👈 (pls ignore how much I sound like a snob in that post lol. I AM NOT, that was just me trying to formulate my wish in English :D)
The characters of TLT aren't the pure evil but very normal people
TLT Lore
Pyrrha is a Genius
Alecto Predictions
Alecto X Anastasia: Eightfold Word Light-Light??
#you all have such cool masterposts - I want one too!#and yes it's maybe a little tasteless to make a nickname out of cemetery... but what can I do? I needed a word with two syllables :(((#the locked tomb#tlt meta#tlt analysis

LETS GOO NECRO LOREEE SJSJDN
@kirbyoctournament A long time ago there was a small sunny planet in the edge of the universe
In that planet lived a farmer, unaware of everything happening on the galaxy, only caring about his farm
Then, one day the sky became dark and his plants started to die for lack of sun and his animales started to go crazy for the darkness.
He looked for the source of the madness and founds sinister figure surrounded by a army of dark creatures
Necrodeus, the leader of the skull gang.
What the farmer didn’t know is how this was the first invasion the skull gang ever did to a populated planet, the first time they meet actual opposition
But even if he knew, the farmer didn’t care and flew to the sky’s with his grass fork at hand to save the light of his world
The brave (or foolish) farmer stood in front of the first necromancer and used all the little skill it had to push back the undead gigant
Then he was crushed and died
The skull gang kept the remains as a trophy for their leader which didn’t actually want to carry a corpse around but he allowed it since it seemed to make them happy to give him a gift
As the years passed Necrodeus made hundreds of schemes to destroy all light and made unrepairable changes to the universe with his necromancy and his scheming
But one time that wasn’t enough for Necrodeus to win
On that moment of defeat, weakness and despair, the skull king remembered something
Remembered the legendary knights in the universe, he hide from some, faced others and planned to kill a few. Then he remembered their race
Necrodeus took his first kill and turned it into his biggest weapon, something able to destroy entire galaxies, devour souls and do everything he commanded
It took decades of work, but it was done
Necrodeus unleashed his weapon upon the brightest galaxy In the universe and…
That was the moment Necro knight’s age of terror started and the life of that galaxy ended
#necro knight#felt bad for the poor farmer#u are doing great with the writing!#kirby#keep improving!🩷^^

i feel like g1deon would probably have a good deal of body dysmorphia post-resurrection (though i do think that the more unflattering descriptions of him came from gideon, a lesbian who's textually grossed out by muscular men), because of the ...Everything in the way jod brought him back
The way Jod talks about modifying G-'s memory is particularly horrifying:
And my loved ones … The ones I left, I’ll bring back. I know I can. Even G—. In fact, G—’ll be easiest—he won’t remember the compound—none of them will have to remember anything. I know where remembrance lives in the brain, and he won’t have any of it. You know that too, don’t you? It’s the easiest thing in the world … to forget.”
The idea of what the original disciples can remember - or the ghosts of memories that don't quite come to the surface but still haunt them in some way is so horrifying.
I assume Jod induces some kind of retrograde amnesia, knocking out huge swathes of memory but leaving abilities and personality intact.
Even those who weren't regrown from an arm must have struggled with the incongruity between whatever memories of appearance their mind still had, or didn't quite have - something jarringly off in lost years. And that's assuming Jod didn't just make any modifications on a whimsy. (Is Mercy a strawberry blond described by a teenager who's never seen that in real life before or did Jod give her anime hair for funsies?)
But poor G1deon didn't just look older or younger or have different hair. Presumably all of the necros found something unsettling about how the new shape of their bodies sat with some inaccessible sense of self, but G1deon was at best an attempt by Jod to give him a muscular physique when the necromantic body simply can't usually sustain that (was he built before? Did the incongruity of the muscles without fat even when well hydrated sit wrongly in his mind? Or had he aspired to be but never was - was John trying to be nice in a horribly macabre way?) and at worst a shoddy job that might have felt dysmorphic even by comparison to others, let alone from half-submerged memories of self.

I wonder if dental classism survived the Resurrection in TLT. I can see it going either way: 1, no one cares if you're missing teeth because they were probably put to good use and it's not hard to get them replaced by a necromancer if you really want/need to, or 2, if you're missing teeth/your teeth are in bad shape it means you are either Poor And/Or A Loser With No Necro Buddies To Fix You Up.

John, Paul and Perfect Lyctorhood
Here's the thing: I think One Flesh, One End is the wrong way to think about what lyctorhood is, or at least, what it ideally should be.
Think about it: John never had his "cavalier" die for his lyctorhood. And yes, the reason for that is because he tried to consume the Earth's soul and it was too big for one human. But more importantly: this was non-consensual and one way.
Presumably most cavaliers (besides poor Babs) choose to die for their necros, so that's a step in the right direction. And then we have Paul - the death of two people, melding of two souls to create a third. But at the same time Paul didn't really feel like "the best" of Palamedes and Camilla, and mostly felt like a stranger (despite the fact that they clearly have their memories). Maybe they are too new and still have to discover these parts of themself, I don't know but I think we can all agree we didn't like it and I think that's the point. Pyrrha said Paul is not the end but just "a step in the theorem".
Personally, I'm most curious about what Anastasia was doing. According to John, she "freaked out and couldn't get the soul all the way in" and that's why he killed her cavalier, but how reliable of a narrator is John? We know he has a bias and is trying to make himself look better so personally I think that if he isn't outright lying (and we know he's not above that) there's probably more nuance to what he admitted.
So I would like to pose the following theory: Perfect Lyctorhood is not about one person dying for the other, not two people melding into one. Instead it's a process of exchange where both people take a part of the other 's soul in themselves consensually. They are both split and whole at the same time. And I believe (hope) that is what Gideon and Harrow will achieve by the end of the series.

Almost right off the bat in a new round, Gina of all people went after *Yuriko* and even though I tried to help her (there wasn't any reason for me to think Gina was gnosia and I like Gina) she got frozen anyway. Gina... That's one of the big no-no's. You *do not* go for Yuriko on day 1. You *do not* go for her when you have no one to back you up. You can't just jump her on a whim like you can Raqio or Shigemichi and expect to win that battle.
I love the obfuscate skill in Gnosia, it's just this:
Character A: I think Character B is gnosia!
Character B: Huh, how very interesting... Hey, did you guys know that according to all known laws of aviation-
