Hi all! I apologise for the inactivity, university just started and I've been working away from my computer. However, this has been in the works for several days now. I'm really happy with this, considering that Rouge is my favourite character. I really wanted to have a go at some soft shading and combine it with my regular cell shading - I think it made it look pretty good! A speedpaint of this is coming real soon! I just have to edit my video captures and it'll be uploaded onto my art channel.

A Concept: Star Hair Spinel
After watching the Steven Universe Movie I couldn’t help but think of what Spinel would look like if she reformed and became a part of the crystal gems - and my mind immediately jumped to STAR HAIR
I still like to think that she would keep her lines on her face and her gem would remain upside as it’s a huge part of her story and it would be a shame to take that away. I also thought she’d suit some parachute-pant dungarees! (Although you can’t see the straps).
EDIT: Reeeeee I just realised her hands are backwards 🤭 I'll have to fix it when I give her some lineart and colour!!

If Spinel could take her Gem Rejuvenator back to Homeworld, could she fix Pink Pearl's eye?
Better yet, Bismuth said Homeworld used to use them all the time. So I wonder why she never got fixed in the first place.
