You sighed and looked at the mess the four boys left before you. It wasn’t a mess in the traditional sense, rather, they were the mess and you had to clean them up.
After a difficult battle against a Malboro, the boys had all gotten sprayed with the deadly poison. Lucky for you, you didn’t have to walk far to get to the closest camp, their injuries were near minimal, minor fractures, a few cuts, and a couple of ailments, but it was still a lot to deal with.
Noctis was still poisoned, Prompto was confused, Gladiolus had some deep cuts that the poison seeped into, and Ignis had a twisted wrist and was really sluggish. You sighed, remembering how difficult it was to try and herd them to the camp as you walked into the tent with some curatives.
“Noctis? Are you up?” You questioned, removing the cold towel from his forehead that was keeping him from getting worse.
He muttered an incomprehensible phrase, trying to sit up, before hacking and coughing up a storm. You looked at him worriedly and quickly rest his head in your lap, shushing him.
“Noct, sweetie, relax, if you move too much that poison will hurt you worse. Here, take this,” You ordered gently, putting the Antidote against his lips and watching him sip it gently.
You smiled softly at your sleepy prince and kissed his forehead, replacing the cold rag on his forehead and kissing the tip of his nose.
He scrunched up his nose before coughing again, gently laying his head down.
You smiled at his sleeping face and turned around to be met with large, blue puppy dog eyes.
“Babe! Pay attention to me! My head hurts!” He whined, laying on Gladio’s chest, believing it to be you in his confused state.
You chuckled before you saw Gladio begin to inhale sharply as Prompto rubbed his head against the strong man’s already infected room.
“Prompto! Nonono! You’ll hurt Gladdy!” You chided, moving his head from Gladio’s chest to yours, continuing to nuzzled in your cleavage.
You rolled your eyes and lifted his head, pulling out a remedy and trying to get him to sip it.
“No!” He whined, turning his head away from the drink.
“Prompto, please? Your headache won’t feel better if you don’t,” You tried to coax him into drinking the thick drink.
“No,” He whined once more, this time softer.
You sighed.
“I’ll kiss you if you do, honey,” You tried to get him to drink it.
“Hm… no thank you,” He whispered, happily snuggling into your chest.
You thought for a moment before, smiling to yourself, looking down at him.
“How about I just kiss you to feel better?” You asked.
He gave you a dazed smile and puckered his lips comically to get you to kiss him. You quickly downed the Remedy and kept it in your mouth, smashing your lips against his and forcing the curative into his mouth.
He whined against your mouth and you kept his head trapped against yours until he swallowed the curative.
You pulled away with a pop and he immediately began whining and babbling incoherently about how mean you were for that. You rolled your eyes and set him down.
“Get some rest, chocobean. You’ll feel better if you do,” you whispered a silent order, which he followed.
Next was the big guy. That nasty cut of his could wait no longer. You sighed and grabbed some bandaging, some peroxide, and an antidote.
“This is gonna sting, Gladdy. But you’re a big boy, you can handle a bit of pain, yeah?” You asked, smiling at him.
He gave you a signature flirty smile and put his hand up to your cheek.
“For you baby, I would go through a world of hurt,” He said, inhaling sharply as his open cut began to sting.
You rolled your eyes and smacked his hand away lightly.
“You ready? On three. One-” You began counting, but were cut off by Gladio pinching your thigh.
“Whoops, my hand slipped,” He grinned wolfishly.
You huffed and just pressed the rag stained with the antidote on his poison filled scar suddenly in retaliation, which caused him to growl.
“Son of a bitch!” He exclaims.
“Sorry sweetie,” you said sweetly, lacing your voice with spite, “my hand slipped.”
He looked at you with a playful glare.
“Gods, I love it when you get all feisty,” he chucked.
You rolled your eyes once more, beginning to gently dab the antidote in and around the large cut. Next was the peroxide, which you dabbed even more gently so it wouldn’t hurt as bad. You sighed when the worst of it was cleaned up and helped him sit up, pulling out the bandages and beginning to wrap them around his body.
“You know,” you spoke up, loud enough so they could hear you, “You boys are so reckless. Why can’t you be more careful? I might not always be around to care for you guys,” you noted.
Just as you were wrapping your arms around Gladio’s body to catch the bandage, his strong arms wrapped around you, holding you tightly.
“You’ll be here. As long as we’re around to keep you safe,” he said, a note of confidence in his voice.
You sighed and pulled from his hug, feeling warm in the face from the sudden embrace. You caught the bandage in your hand and wrapped it around once more, securing it and laying his body back down.
“Don’t move it too much, Gladdy,” you ordered.
He simply gave you a thumbs up.
You scanned the tent for your other, bespectacled, boyfriend but were unable to find him. Worried, you stepped out of the tent for a moment to find him, not before hearing a soft murmur from Noctis.
“Yeah Gladdy, don’t move it too much,” he silently teased.
You chuckled at your sleepy boyfriend’s antics and moved to pull Ignis from the portable stove.
“Iggy, sweetie, I’m more than capable of making a nice meal for us. You need to rest your hand.
“Dearest, I’m fi-!” he quickly let out a cry of pain and cradled his fractured wrist.
You looked over his shoulder and saw that he also burned his bad hand due to his poor reflexes at the moment.
“Oh, Iggy. Stop. I’ll finish it for you. You’re in no condition to cook,” You said, sitting him down in one of the chairs.
He let out a deep sigh and showed you his wrist, knowing you would be the one tending to it.
You held his wrist gingerly and undid the temporary splint you did earlier before arriving at the camp, digging into your first aid kit for some proper materials for a splint.
“I already popped it into place, so it won’t hurt too much this time. You should stretch it when the bones set further,” You explained, wrapping the gauze around the splint.
He let out a hum in response and sighed when you finished wrapping it up.
“Get some rest. You’ll feel better when you get up,” You told him, leading him to the tent.
You sighed, following Ignis into the tent and sitting amongst your boys, resting Prompto’s and Gladio’s heads on your lap, stroking Prompto’s hair and twirling Gladio’s between your fingers.
These boys were all a mess, but you would never stop loving them, and they you.

ffxv polyship roadtrip passing time making cute shit in the car :D
TYSM FOR THE ASK !!
Polyship!Chocobros x Reader [Drabble- SFW] Braaacelets!
Tumblr media
Another loooong drive was ahead of the group. The lot of you have found a bunch of ways to pass the time roadtripping, some more interesting than others. Today’s time killer? Making bracelets! With Iggy behind the wheel, and honestly, more than happy to sit and listen, the shenanigans ensue.
“Uhhh, babes?” Prompto called out to the car. “Is this right?” To which one of you? Well.. narrowing it down to the only one of the group who knows a lick about the craft at hand, you answer.
“Lemme see.” The blonde awkwardly holds up his mess of paracord to you. When making these sort of bracelets, the two working ends need to be even. Sweet sunshine over here had three working strings, which you didn’t know was possible. With a few tugs and a pat on the head for good measure and reassurance, crisis averted.
“Aaaand you take the opposite side’s string and thread it through the loop you’ve made..” The trio listened carefully to your words, trying their best to imitate. Noct was oddly concentrated for a change, landing it first try. He wiggled his eyebrows at Gladio, who’s large hands have done him dirty. “Mmmm..” He rolled his eyes at the prince.
You shifted from your tight spot between the two and leaned forward to whisper something to Prompto. “Big.. meaty.. claws..”
…
Miles and minutes passed, and the crafting kept going. With questions here and there, it was going well! It made you feel a certain way, seeing your boys take interest in little things like this. For a moment, it makes you forget why you’re on this trip in the first place. As of right now, you were a group of lovers in a fancy car, making bracelets to pass the time. Prince who?
Prompto was making one for Iggy, Noct for you, you for Gladio, and Gladio for Noct. And when there was a pit stop or some traffic, Iggy had started a bracelet for Prompto. He was a quick learner, and made an extra juuust in case.
“Sooo..” Noctis spoke from his perch atop the Regalia. “Y/N, why’d you pick neon pink for Gladdy?”
Before you could find a joking reply, Gladio butted in. “Because real men wear pink. Bright pink.”
“It’s like asking why he’s using all black for you Noct!” Prompto made eye contact with him through the mirror. “You know.. Because you’re emo.”
That one got a laugh from Ignis, who was quickly reminded by Gladio about his own emo phase.

Omens Finale
I’ve had a few request about Omens, just wanted to make sure that it was concluded properly and I wasn’t phoning it in. So without further ado Omens’ Finale.
~~~~~~
“Yes!”
No!
“I love to.”
I hate it!
“Please, my love?”
Fuck you!
You hated this, you hated this so much! No matter what you wanted to say, the opposite is what came from your mouth, all because of that spell.
 That spell, that damn spell backfired on you! You had misread one line, one Six Damn line and now you were a prisoner of your own design. You figured that you were well versed in ancient writings and reading! There was no way that you misread the stupid spell!
Place on the heart and by the mind, your spell will work in due time. A peaceful rest and you will find, your hearts and soul quite a lined
a lined
A LINED!
At the time you were so caught up in trying to escape, that hadn’t even realized it.  Of course that wasn’t a break up spell, it was a stupid heart to heart spell. Only when you found yourself awakened three days later in that false embrace did you even realize that you were still in this hell.
 How foolish could you be?
Apparently dumb enough to pick one that had been working for well over a month at this point. Each time you try to pull away, it would only make the spell work harder against you. At times you weren’t even certain of what you truly wanted.
Your body felt like it was trapped within some type of limbo all the time. You were always arguing with yourself, constantly fighting as the you that hated this, that hated being this way. Treated so fragile, so coddled and weak.
Against a part that started so small and quiet, who loved it. It was so soft at first, you were able to ignore and over power it from time to time, but eventually you began to notice that it was becoming something stronger.
In moments of clarity you’d find yourself tearing through libraries and ancient tomes trying to find a way, some way to leave, to break this spell but then you heard the other you.
They love us, don’t you see?
As you sat in this room, alone with your thoughts, you wanted to try, you wanted to try and find some way to break this curse, but each time you attempted to stand to go to those book lined shelves that got you into this mess, that other voice you tried to kill, would stop you.
“They love us.”
They don’t!
“They always have, can’t you see.”
They want control, they want to keep me a pet.
You weren’t even aware that you had begun to pace, the long trains of the dress you were wearing dragging against the floor, as your heels clacked against the cold hard floor.
“They don’t, they truly do love us.”
There is no us! This is my body and you’re just a spell, a spell that has gone on too long.
“No, can’t you see,” You feet stopped pacing as you moved before the large floor length mirror, framed by spirals and swirls of beautiful design. Still the beauty of the mirror was long forgotten as you stared ahead directly into the mirror meeting your own gaze.
Red, a beautiful red, that may have once reminded you of love, sat in a heart shape in your eyes.
“You are me.”
Those words left your lips, at the same time you grabbed one of the vases from one of the side table, throwing it as hard as you could into the mirror with a scream of defiance, watching as the large mirror shattered around you. Almost in slow motion as you kept catching glances of that red, that beautiful red seeming to be mocking you time and again. You felt like you were drowning, but still you kept screaming.
I’m not crazy!
You chanted this time and time again like a mantra, but it seemed like it was getting softer, quieter each time. Were you crazy, was that a part of this spell, was it making you insane? You were fighting with yourself.
“Y/N?”
You turned, tears in your eyes, a whirlwind of destruction around you. So caught up in the rage and hate, you hadn’t noticed the destruction around. Books destroyed, glass everywhere, furniture upturned. But in all that destruction, there they stood, almost like a beacon of hope.
A glass of water in this horrid desert you found yourself in.
You gave a sniff, feeling one of your shoes slip on a torn page, as you raced across the room with a soft wail into arms opened for you.
“Shh, shh it’s okay, Y/N.”
You gave another cry, hearing those sweet comforting words from Prompto.
“Darling, you’re hurt.”
You felt Ignis trying to take your hand from where you had clenched tightly to Noctis, trying to form some type of sentence, but each time it came out in frustrated wails.
“Let Iggy, see you hand, Babe.”
At the soft voice of Gladiolus, you allowed Ignis to see to the hand, your face still buried into Noctis’s neck. Prompto’s comforting hand caressing your back, it felt so lovely.
“What happened, Y/N?” Noctis inquired, his arm tightly around you.
You gave another sob, you couldn’t face them right, you just couldn’t. All you wanted right now was…
Their warm comforting touch.
*
“Do you feel better, Darling?” Ignis asked, taking your mug from you, that was once filled with soup.
You gave a weak nod, sharing Gladiolus’s lap, with Prompto who had refused to release you. You didn’t trust your voice, it was still raw from your screaming, and the apparent tantrum within the library. The other voice was also much more silent than before.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Prompto asked, a hand stroking your hair.
You shook your head, leaning into the touch.
“Just a bad day?” Gladiolus followed up.
You thought for a moment, before nodding. Your eyes turning to Noctis, as he moved before you, taking your left hand, looking it over. Just an hour ago, it was covered in blood from a large gash, from throwing furniture or the glass, but thanks to a potion it had healed rather nicely.
“Y/N, this is mine.” Noctis stated, those blue eyes turning to meet your gaze. “You are mine, do you understand?”
There was no hesitation, no fight, just a firm,
“Yes, Noctis.”
*
A blur, you struggled from time to time, but the fight, that fire just seemed to die, you hadn’t even realized it. Was it over time, or was it just removed in one go?
You recalled, standing within the garden with Ignis, every opportunity, you had every chance to go, to run. No one was holding you back, there were no chains, no tethers, nothing to hold you to him, but still you stayed, never too far away from him. At most you made certain to stay within his sight, or so that you could always see him. It made you uncomfortable not to know where he was, or not be within his sight, or any of their sight for that matter.
You recalled smacking a tray of food from Prompto, but the moment your hand came into contact with the tray, you immediately found yourself in his arms, apologizing, checking him over to make sure he wasn’t hurt. He constantly assured you it was an accident and when you thought about it, it really was, there was no ill will, simply a wrong place at the wrong time.
You recalled resting in the large nook window of the apartment, only to suddenly find yourself being lifted. You flailed and shrieked, pulling away only to relax when you heard that deep chuckle from Gladiolus. Your panic immediately became affectionate cuddles.
You recalled running, fast and hard. Your dress picked up, almost as if working on muscle memory, your feet dragged you to an exit, but then you’d turn. Only to gasp as a flash of blue appeared for you, and you were face to face with a soft smile, that you were certain was a reaction to one on your own face.
Noctis had caught you again.
You didn’t fight his victory kiss, no any of the kisses. You craved them, wanting nothing more than to be physically shown their love.
You thought of the freedom you had gotten in  the halls of the Citadel, no longer escorted, but still you feet your dragged you somewhere familiar somewhere close to them. Almost as if you were searching for something, trying to find something, only to find that it was taking you to them.
There were a few times when you’d find yourself outside in the middle of the night, suddenly awakened as you fell into the river. There was no one there to take you back, but still you climbed from the river, wet, and you sat and waited.
It never took long, before you were found, wrapped in arms and escorted back.
Back Home.
*
“Is it really okay?” You asked.
“Yeah.” Noctis chuckled.
You only asked, because you were supposed to be down in the central ballroom, being introduced as the Prince’s betrothal party. Your veil finally to be removed, as you were introduced as the future Princess of the Kingdom. While most of the party was underway, you were assured time and again that it was okay for the five of you to slip away for a breather, as the future Princess was of “Delicate health” and just needed a moment.
What you hadn’t expected was to find yourself in this more office suite apartments. This one was stationed not too far from Ignis’s but sat higher up within the citadel, appearing almost to be a high rise apartment within itself, if not for the hundreds of books behind the large desk, and beautiful dark furniture that littered the room. But the most amazing thing of all was the huge window, one entire wall was just a window. Seeing that it was high enough from the ground floors, the lights from the city and the castle didn’t object to the stars.
“How pretty.” You found yourself cooing, as Noctis moved you over to the window. From up this far, everyone and everything looked so small, like little toys.
“It is a wonderful view.” Ignis stated, having poured a few drinks, handing yourself and Noctis the first two.
“Thank you, Iggy.” You cooed accepting the glass, before he moved over to hand Gladiolus and Prompto theirs.
“Tonight’s been pretty awesome.” Prompto smiled, “How about a toast?”
“A toast?” Gladiolus chuckled.
“Yeah, to an awesome future.” Prompto laughed, his glass high.
“Whelp Iggy, you’re up.” Gladiolus smiled, raising his glass alongside Prompto’s.
Ignis gave a playful sigh as he raised his glass, “I believe that the honor should be Y/Ns.”
“Me?”
“Yeah how about it?” Noctis chuckled his glass raised next to you.
You held the glass in your hand, thinking for a moment before raising it to the sky, “May the worst day of our futures, be the happiest day of our past.”
A round of cheers echoed the room, as everyone's glass moved to their lip
As you sipped your drink, your eyes turned back towards the night sky, only to find them focused back on you, that red had returned, much brighter in your eyes. But not just there, on your chest, there was no mistaking it, the same color red, in the shape of a heart glowing brightly. seeming to be beating along to your own heart. You stepped towards the window, hand raised to touch your reflection.
“What is...?”
“Didn’t think it would take this long.” Noctis replied beside you.
“What would take this long?” You asked, only to turn as you found Ignis behind you, having removed the power dampening necklace from your neck. A surge of trapped magic flooding through you.
“The spell.” Noctis stated, as if that would answer your question.
“The spell, what do you...no.” You gasped in horror, that small flame suddenly began to roar again as the pieces begun to fall. That veil you allowed to control you begun to fall. “You, you did this. What did you do to me?”
“Sorry, Y/N, it was the only way we could protect you.” Prompto offered reaching out, only for you to shove him away. “Don’t be angry.”
You suddenly realized that you were being surrounded, you held tightly to the glass of booze within your hand to ground yourself. “What the hell did you do?”
“Y/N, careful, the dampener was removed…” Gladiolus began as he reached for you, only to have you pull away, releasing another surge of magic.
“Answer me!” You screamed, that fire was raging now, you knew, you knew that there was no way you would have messed up this bad. The fight was coming back, “What the fuck did you do to me!?”
“We’ve removed the dampener, we don’t want it to react to the final steps of the spell.” Ignis stated, always calm and collected, he stayed out of your striking range but close enough that he could get to you.
This only pissed you off more, “You fucked up the spell and you did this to me, this isn’t me.”
“Y/N, I’ve told you time and again,”
You turned toward Noctis before you, all of your anger was boiling over, you almost fell for it. You almost fell for this false love, this false joke of love. You almost let them win!
“...I’m going to protect you.”
You hadn’t realized what you had done until you felt both Gladiolus and Ignis grab a hold of you, the empty glass shattering at your feet. You had tossed your drink directly within Noctis face, “Fuck you! You son of a bitch! I’m not…”
You were quickly hushed as you felt your back slammed against the window, Noctis standing before his hand tight to your chin, keeping you facing him, your gaze unable to go anywhere else but his own. That predatory magic was what was keeping you pressed against the wall, at his mercy.
You tried focusing, a way to escape. You could try the window. There would be no way you could survive the fall from this high, but maybe you could drag this bastard down with you. You tried again and again but the window was too thick.
“Don’t try that, you’ll just wear yourself out.” Ignis stated.
“Noct’s office is the most secure. Sound proof and resistance.” Gladiolus followed up.
You felt your flame flicker as that bright red begun to slowly creep over you vision. As if rose colored glasses were being forced on you.
“This is for your own good, I tried to make you see, we all did. But you go and you take a book to try and leave us. Luckily Specs found it before you could do anything foolish.”
You thought about it, there was no way they didn’t find it, you had fainted and they had changed you out of the dress. “How?”
“A photocopied page, simply switched two spell names.” Ignis replied. “You do recall the, amor aeternus spell.”
Amor Aeternus? The eternal love spell. That’s what they used! A spell that was banned and said to have been destroyed thousands of years ago due to the fact no one could break it. It would start my taking over the mind and then the heart.
“Once it’s completed we won’t have to ever have this conversation again. It’s too late now, Y/N.”
There appeared to be a sad smile on his face. Did he have some guilt behind this? Did he honestly feel sorry? Or was it all part of his act too?!
You let out a sob, you just wanted to know, you deserved to know, “Why, why me?”
“Because there’s no one else.” Noctis removed his hand from you chin, to stroke you cheek. “You are mine, Y/N.”
You followed their gaze to the glowing heart on your chest, noticing now that it was filling up before it disappeared. You turned horrified eyes back to Noctis’s gaze finding his staring directly at you, you felt tears fill your eyes, you had lost.
You had already known the answer but the tears fell as you gave a shuttered, “Why?”
You tried again and again to resist.
Begging yourself to resist.
But found yourself screaming
For more.
For their affection and their love.
The small inferno, gone, not even an ember left into existence. The spell had done its job.
You felt the hand leave your cheek as Noctis stepped away. All of them hovering over you, watching intently.
“Their is only one thing left Noct.” Ignis stated as Noctis nodded.
“Y/n,” Noctis called, the only way he knew you heard him was from your body stiffening at his voice. “ I love you.”
“Y/N, I love you.” Prompto echoed.
“I love you, Y/N.” Gladiolus repeated.
“I love you.” Ignis duplicated.
Without any second thought or hesitation, you lifted your head. The red heart on you chest vanished, as the red within your eyes flashed once before returning to their normal color.
You responded.
“I love you too.”
A pillow and a tiger
Poly Bros x Reader
Warnings - Small mentions of sex/awkward moment
Word count - 2,886
Read on AO3!
Okay, so… before anyone says anything this is kinda something i made up in my mind one night cause i couldn't sleep so it's kinda a more self indulgence but i made it anyway,
Part 2? Maybe? If you guys want one i got one already in my head
You were surprised the day Noctis wanted you to come along with the others to go on this trip with them. It was simple times with some parts of being carefree. Well, it all seemed to run so smoothly before things hit the fan and came crumbling down. The fall of you're home, you felt horrible, almost felt like you should have stayed as you were apart of the guard, yet.. The king wanted you to go as well as Noctis.
It was hard to get over the fall as it all loomed over you're heads, it seemed the general idea and need to get to luna seemed to fall for a while. It just… seemed to be to much for you all as you needed to get over your grief and what not. At the start having made enough money in hunting and doing other jobs you would buy yourself a different motel room when you could, or when you all camped you would also have your own tent. It wasn’t that you didn't like sleeping around them or being in the same room… it was more the fact you were embarrassed.
Why? Well… that was something hard to explain to them you couldn't just up right and admit it. You has a secret, something that just felt so childish you feared that they would find out and say something about it.
Sitting inside your tent you sighed looking at your bag. You didn't want to pull it out so soon as dinner was almost ready, but you said you would set up their tents and you did. Taking a little more time in your own. Reaching inside your bag after setting up you're sleeping bag you placed down a pillow, just… a more different pillow then most. The pillow was a fluffy and furry pillow, or well.. It was once as it was more worn and looked to have less stuffing inside of the pillow as it seemed to be bunched into the corners.
It was a more special pillow seeing as it was from your grandmother… it's been years from the day you got it.. Several years ago when you where 4 she got it for you. Holding the pillow in your hands your heart started to swell thinking about her, from her smile to her voice to how she was. Ith a sniffle you rubbed your eyes looking away from the pillow before pulling it close to your chest holding it there for a moment before placing it down next to the sleeping bag. You could hear the others outside the tent talking as it seemed to almost be a comforting sound from inside the tent but also scared that they might pull the tent open and see you're things.
With another item still inside you hesitated if you should even pull it out.. Yet you shook your head wanting to have it out as it brought you comfort as well. Reaching inside the sounds of beads shifted from inside a stuffed animal. It looked old and like the pillow lost its furry feel as the fur was pressed to the body with age. It was a larger stuffed tiger that you grew attached to as a child and just had it around as it helped you sleep. Holding it in your hand you looked it over taking in she solitude before a voice made you jump dropping the tiger with the small thump and shift of the beads. Freezing a little you slowly turned your head to the entrance to you're tent before the voice came again. “Y/N? Are you okay?” “Y-yea! Yea im fine, what's up Iggy” You moved to slowly open you're tent slipping your head out almost hiding the view inside. “Dinner is finished” he gave a slight smile to you before turning away letting you slowly come out and closing the tent.
Stepping out of the tent you walked to your own seat falling into it. Slouching you looked around the fire as it crackled the smell of the campfire mixed with the food Ignis made making it smell mouth watering and comforting at the same time. Near your chair Nocts laid on the ground on his back with Prompto laying over his stomach on there phones playing some game they all seemed to love. You have tried it a few times, just never fully got into it. “You two should get up” Gladio mumbled from a little away from them next to Ignis as he helped dish the food.
Noctis let his head fall back with a small glare at Gladio. “But Nocts comfy” Prompto groaned as he looked over at Gladio as he walked over with two bowls in hand. “Get up” he kicked the side of prompto's leg as he came closer to you handing you a bowl. “Thanks Gladio” you mumbled taking it. Seeing the food and getting the stronger smell of it you stomach gave a loud growl making you notice just how hungry you where. Taking a few bites you looked around them as they all got into there chairs, or well Gladio and Ignis did as Noctis and Prompto still say on the ground.
With small talk around the campfire, you started to notice things, as you have noticed before… The small touches or the way they guys have been starting to look at each other, the way Prompto leaned on Noctis, it looked friendly but, just how much more touchy they started to get. You wondered…. Where they involved together? You wondered as you ate, looking between them as they talked and the way they casted glances at each other… they wouldn't… right? Maybe? You didn't know.
It was hard to tell at first, but over time with days passing you came to notice, or well… walked in on Noctis and Prompto in the hotel room late at night. It was another night in the hotel as it was pouring rain outside, mixed with thunder. Unable to sleep that night from not having the pillow as you kept it inside you're bag with the tiger.. You hated nights like these unable to get your own room as well as them not knowing. It was.. A sight to see heading to the bathroom. Too tired to even think right or listen from the rain you opened the door to Noctis leaning over Prompto who was sitting on the counter his face buried in Noctis neck. That sight alone made the hazy and grogginess in your mind fly away and a large blush on your face. With a small gasp and shout of you're sorry you quickly slammed the bathroom door shut with a loud bang. Ignis and Gladio jumped away from the beds.
Confused you shooed them away with you're hands trying to explain it was nothing. Hell that was not something you wanted to walk in on… especially with how you have been feeling. You noticed that all four of them seemed to get more touchy touchy with each other, and with the soft kisses prompto would plan on the others heads. You didn't think much thinking it was just prompto being himself.
As days moved on and the longer you stayed in the hotel due to a hunt as well as the weather not really working with you guys. You had to keep leaving trying to get air as you're feelings started to get stronger and stronger. Hell you didn't want to invade on it. You came to the conclusion that they seemed to be together, not just two of them.. All of them. It was maybe on the 4th day of no sleep you rested on one of the couches tired and in a daze like state. They guys where growing worried and concerned for you seeing just how slow you where and your reaction time.
“Uh… Y/N?” Noctis asked as he leaned some to try and look at you. With a small nod you waved him off. “I'm fine… I promise” you mumbled rubbing your eyes. “you clearly are not” Gladio said from behind Noct. “Gladio I'm fine okay” sitting up rubbing your eyes you got up glancing around before eyeing Ignis pack of ebony. Walking over to it you grabbed one. “sorry iggy...i need one” “you owe me then” he mumbled glancing over from the small kitchen as he was scribbling in his notebook. “Y/N… I'm starting to worry…” Prompto said from one of the beds with a small pout. “there's nothing to worry about ” with a small frown you tried to think of a job you could pick up maybe try to get your own room… they seem to need the alone time, and you needed the sleep.
“h-hey!” you gave a small glare as Ignis took the can from your hand placing it on the counter. “y/n… we are all worried” leaning back he eyed you as you looked away. From them, “im..im just a little tired okay” “Y/N… I know you know about us” Ignis said with a soft smile trying to make it feel warm. You didn't answer him as you shook your head. “Y/N… you know we care about you right?” Gladio spoke up from where he was standing next to noctis. “we… we wanted to wait a while but” Noctis trailed off as he shook his head. “i.. I don't know how to say it” Noctis faced started to turn red as he looked down and turned away from you.
“what are you talking about?” confused you moved to the other bed sitting down on it looking at them as they shared a look with each other. “guys… come on, look in fine, now… you going to keep giving each other looks? I can leave and give some privacy” “Y/N… we.. we want you to be well apart of this… with us” you sat there stunned for a while looking at all four of them. “w-wha?? You… you want me?” Noctis nods as he still had his face was bright red. “y-yea…. I mean.. only if you want-” “i...i don't want to-” “you are not intruding Y/N” If is broke you off as the room grew quiet. It seemed to be hours as you thought it over. The room was silent as they guys played cards you still sitting on the bed thinking. “yes” “yes?” Prompto was a little confused as you broke the silence. “yes … to you're…. Offer” blushing you looked down picking at your nails and playing with your fingers. You could feel your face starting to burn as you took in the long silence. Not paying to much attention you helped when someone fell on you or more like pulled you down into the bed with them. It took a moment before you noticed the blonde head. Prompto was already there hugging you tight as he sighed. “i…. Thank gods” he mumbled. With a small laugh you huge him back. “sorry..i just…” he didn't know what to say.
Turning your head you placed a kiss on his cheek with a large blush of your own. Prompto froze for a moment before he snuggled more into your neck. Time seemed to be nice, and calm and relaxing for now as you almost dozed asleep that night. Laying next to Prompto and Noctis in the large bed you still found yourself unable to sleep.
You started to grow a relationship with them making it stronger. They got a larger tent to fit you all that was nice.. yet… you couldn't sleep that well, losing focus a lot in battle and passing out when you're body forced you to sleep the guys started to get more and more worried. It was in a battle that you got injured. It was a heavy hit from a monster that slammed you into the side of a rock knocking you out cold.
It was several hours before you woke up. Laying in a hotel bed blinking several times as your eyes got used to the lamp that was on. With a groan and a throbbing pain in your head you started to sit up wincing at the sharp pain. “Y/N… careful” Gladio said as he was sitting on the other bed. “Gladio?” “Yea…. I'm here so is Noct and Prompto, careful you don't wake them” you gave him a questioning look before Ignis came over sitting next to Gladio. “they kept fussing over you the whole time… Y/N.. what happened? You look like you haven't been sleeping at all”
Looking away you opened your mouth, yet you quickly shut it keeping your eyes away from them. “i...i can't sleep” moving your leg you accidently hit it into Prompto's chest making him whine as he shifted and stretched. Blinking a few times tired as his eyes adjusted the best they could he seen your face making him gasp. “Y/N! You're awake!!” with a yell from you he grabbed you tightly blabbing on about how he was worried and scared. Noctis gave a annoyed groan as he woke up a little mad and glaring at the wake up call.
It took a moment for them to calm down, mostly Prompto as he looked like a kicked puppy after you asked him to lower his voice. “so… you going to say why you can't sleep?” Gladio broke in wanting to know. You're eyes casted down as you pulled at the hoodie they put on you, it was large so it had to be Gladios, or maybe one if Prompto's huge hoodies he had. “it's… it's stupid” you whined out moving your face deeper into the hoodie. “it can't be that stupid.. you are losing sleep Y/n” “it’s childish okay, I just…. Just ignore it” “y/n” Ignis said a little more deeper them normal giving a more stern look.
Chewing the inside of your cheek you shook your head. “it's childish… you're going to laugh or just… it's I don't know how to explain it...i…. My bag.. Just look inside my bag” pulling the hood on your head more wanting the hoodie to swallow you whole you listened. The guys where confused as Ignis got up from his spot and brought you're bag over. Hearing the zipper open you want to scream, wanted to dive over and take the bag from Ignis as you felt your anxiety start to spike. Ignis looked inside seeing the pillow corner slightly hurried under a few of your clothes and personal belongings. He was confused at first before fully pulling it out. The worn pillow in his hands “thats…. super old” Noctis mumbled looking over at it. “it... was from my grandmother… it.. reminds me of her I had it for a long time” you voice was small, almost scared to talk as it was light nearly a whisper.
Gladio took the bag from Ignis looking inside before he caught the shine from your stuff tigers eye. Reaching inside he carefully pulled it out of the bad looking at it. The limbs seemed to only have the beads inside it as the rest had normal stuffing. The tiger was close to that of a teddy bear style but still looked old. “i….” you couldn't think of anything to say as you felt tears start to build in your eyes. “it's… it's child like i know i just can't …. I can't sleep without them” feeling the tears slip from your eyes down you're face you tilted to hide them, tried to make them stop. What were they going to think? What are they going to say now? You're in a relationship… maybe they are going to break it off and leave you out of it… what if they don't care anymore case you were childish- “y/n?” a voice broke you out of you're almost trance like state. Noctis moved the hood out of the way to look at your face. “hey… it's okay” Noctis turned to wrap his arms around you holding you close. “It's… its “ “It's perfectly fine” Gladio said as he moved from the side of the bed placing the pillow down next to you with the tiger placing it on your lap.
You didn't say anything as you looked at them all taking the old worn looking tiger into your hands. “S-so…” “Not a word, you need to get some rest” Ignis spoke as he was getting up. “Ignis.. Im fine-” shaking his head he didn't listen as he was moving the blanket to cover you up. Noctis was already curled up to you. Looking at Ignis you could tell he had a worried look on his face, but also revealed that you opened up to them. Prompto took the other end of the blanket pulling it over you and Noctis as well as himself. “Get some rest now.. Okay, don't be scared about telling us things” Ignis said as he leaned over giving all three of you a kiss on your heads. Resting with the comforting feeling of the pillow as well as knowing you had these items close you finally relaxed, finally drifting asleep feeling warm and safe, but also comforted.
(It's alright if you don't wanna read this!)
A story that came out in my mind while I was folding laundry at 5:30am 😂 (I try to make this gender neutral as possible)
But imagine one day. You were just about awake, feeling groggy and your senses were telling you all sorts of wrong. That something was off and you need to get up and investigate now. So you did. The first thing you noticed was that it was incredibly bright. Like the sun just fucking hit you in the eyes and when you looked around. You noticed that it was a fairly huge tent. A magazine could be found laying around next to a messy pile of cards. There was also a map sitting around which you assume is the map of the "world"-- you were incredibly groggy that it took you 5 seconds to realize that you were supposed to be in your room, in your bed, air conditioner blasting, curtains closed--
You looked down to see that you were clad in a black t-shirt, a pair of worn out black boxers and your body feels wrong too. Your hands are off, the energy rippling inside was definitely an alien sensation to you-- so in a fit of panick, you whimpered and got out, shaking and wishing this is definitely a dream.
Except that it isn't.
As you stumbled outside of the tent, a sinking feeling went down your stomach as you saw awfully familiar people and someone was talking to you-- asking breakfast and although it was afternoon you needed lunch Noctis--
Noctis
You were called Noctis.
And you just had to slap yourself in front of everyone or pinched yourself, whatever to wake you up. You ended up laughing and asking if this was all just one elaborate vivid lucid dream.
Prompto looked downright concerned, hands frozen on his camera. He asked you if you were alright (buddy are you okey? Did you have a nightmare again?). Gladio looked up from whatever he was doing-- oh. Oh okey he was checking on their supplies and you were quickly engulfed with fear, anxiety, panic. (He looked so so real...!)
All hell break lose from there as you realized you are Prince Noctis, the magic that was running through your vein was very much real and it was awful. It was already tiring you out in the afernoon and you should feel giddy that you were in a game you were recently obsessed with.
But reality sunk in so fast and you were wondering how were you going to get home. Your heart raced and you just collasped, having a hard time to breathe. Gladio, Prompto and Ignis were hovering over you in one second flat, obviously worried for their prince.
Their king you meant. You realized you took their king's position.
The chocobros did their best to calm you, Gladio was pretty straightforward and he asked what the hell happened and asked if you needed space.
A calming hum washed over you and it was like saying, "you're fine, you're okey. Don't worry." The voice belonged to non-other than Noctis himself. Stuck inside his own mind and with you as the one controlling.
You blacked out from there. (Noctis is there just in spectral form. He was pissy you took over his body but seeing you too have no idea wot in the flying fock happened. He couldn't blame you. The boys can see him but that was after you passed out.)
And things went south from there and a new ot5 is slowly approaching.
Tumblr media
In this the bros will slowly go from being wary of you to treating you like a needed comrade, to a friend, close partners and will slowly undeniably fall in love with you as the way you are. (They get annoyed if you have playfully ship them even to the point of daring kisses on the cheeks! But this made the bros realize how deep their connections with each other is. The boys went poly!)
If you have self esteem issue, Prompto and Noctis will beat you the punch and say. "Who cares about how you look? You're great the way you are!" (Hidden pointed look towards Prom and how you wish to prot e c c)
When you have your head in your ass Gladio will smack you the fuck up and be stern (like a strict bro) but in return he would also give you a lending hand and would joke around and slowly will become protective of you "In a way, you are a civilian. So let me play hero for you."
Ignis sweet Ignis. He was a silent companion. Constantly there when you are down. Have a sit and he will listen to any problems you have in mind. If things got so bad he will lay your head on his lap and stroke your hair, "Noctis used to be like this when he was just a wee child... It helps... Know that you are not alone."
They love you the way you are... So that was why when YOU were the one who the crystal wants to be sacrificed to bring the dawn.
i live for your ot4 + 1 stories omg... Could I have like,a super fluffy one?With lots and lots of smooches and cuddles?Thanks xx
Thank you Darling! I adore the OT4+1! I do hope that you love this one too!
~
It had been a month! One entire month since you had all gotten together and actually be together like you were intended. Your relationship was something that you took great pride in and while you didn’t mind one on one time with one of your boyfriends or even if only some of you got together, there was always that missing feeling, that missing piece of being able to have all five of you together as was your normal.
So this morning when you had woken up with only a stuffed Chocobo in bed you had to admit you were getting a little lonely! When you’re used to sleeping with four other people sharing the Behemoth King sized bed, it got really lonely really fast to wake up as the only person in the bed.
Whoever the jerk that coined the phrase: ‘Absence makes the heart grow fonder’, never went a month without a proper dose of affection!
This month was a busy one for the Royals, it was meeting upon meeting, traveling, and balls. Strengthening allies and forging bonds! It was a tradition as old as the beautiful city you called home.
You knew that falling in love with these men meant falling in love with a job that would take them away from you. You yourself could only attend so much of their lives, the more glitz and glamor parts. You appeared at every ball, every media event that required you to be there to be the “Prince’s Girlfriend”. All the political stuff was far beyond your realm of understanding or caring for that matter, so your presence didn’t apply when it came to the day to day meetings.
 Still, it didn’t mean that your heart didn’t ache for them when they were suddenly gone so long that their scent no longer lingered on their pillows or clothes in the apartment.
Prompto got a lot more time off than your other three boyfriends. Granted he didn’t have a 9-5 type of job, some of his shifts would run him days at a time, and even then he still had to go to training with Cor. For the past month, he had been out of the house with Gladiolus at 5am almost every day.  Only to return home at 11pm, getting something in the stomach. a shower, and you were then putting him to bed.
Gladiolus, on the other hand, was use these long stints. He had been training for it for all his life, he knew how to train that wonderful body to withstand pretty much anything that could be thrown at him. But you could count on one hand the amount of times that you got to actually cuddle with him. He had to spend quite a bit of time at the castle second only to Ignis.
Ignis was a very dutiful man, you often worried simply because you feared he would crash. He was so stoic and always held such a strong powerful demeanor that if one didn’t know the Advisor they wouldn’t notice the slights in his posture and gaze that showed even he was at a limit. He would only return to the apartment on nights that Noctis could sneak away, but even those moments were so short and in between.
Noctis was the one that often would apologize to you when something would take him away, but you couldn’t blame him. You never blamed him! It wasn’t his fault that he was such an important person. You felt the lingering hold he gave you when Ignis would awaken him to take him away for the day.
You were often offered a room within the Citadel, which you only took up when a party ran late, or there was no one to escort you home for the evening. You didn’t wish to have them worried about you and your needs when they had so many more important things to worry about. Besides having to sneak into their rooms to get your cuddles and kisses was only fun for the first couple of times.
You knew it was hard, not just for you, but for them as well. So you were determined to always get up, walk them to the door, no matter what ungodly time in the morning it was that they would have to leave to start their days. Providing a kiss and a hug and a sweet “Have a nice day! I love you.” before they were gone for who knows how long this time, and you’d return to a large empty bed.
At least that was your normal until this week when suddenly the bed and apartment were empty all week, due to them taking lodging at the Castle as it was easier to stay there. No amount of video games, shopping, reading, or sleeping seemed to make the time go faster. You’d get a quick voice message waking you up, or telling you good night, or a text when on a break but that wasn’t filling this void.
So today when you were ushered into the car by one of the Crowns Guard you couldn’t help but stop smiling. Your carriage was whisking you away to the Citadel, where the Farewell party was to take place within the next few hours. You’d finally get the missing pieces of your heart back!
 Even just being in the same building as them, made you feel so much better. You had caught a glimpse of Noctis and Ignis on their way to another meeting. Noctis stopped looking ready to take off towards you, only to be halted by Ignis, who you knew if he wasn’t trying to keep them both on schedule would have run to sweep you up in his arms.
So for the moment, you settled for a smile, wave of the hand, and slight bow of the head.  You watched them disappear first on their way, before continuing to your perfect evening. You sat through the primping, the styling, squeezing into the slimming dress, all of it with a smile because tonight would be the night you got to be just the tiniest selfish. But you so earned it!
As it was normal for you now, you stood before the large doors to the ballroom. Wearing one of the latest dresses that you were certain cost way too much for the fabric, but you knew that it was part of the package. One more quick over by those lovely ladies that helped you get ready, and you were left alone.
“Announcing…”
You took a deep inhale, it was easier to do this with one of the others, but you had figured that they all actually had to be within the room, so you were forced to go in alone. The doors cracked open, as you counted to three like Ignis had told you to, before taking a step forward.
The entrance faced the throne, where you were greeted to King Regis and Clarus but your Prince was missing, and knowing that at least Ignis and Gladiolus would be by his side it kind of confused you. Only for your eyes to move to the dance floor, finding Noctis standing there, along with Prompto and Gladiolus all three of their eyes trained to you as if you were the only person within the room, but where was Ignis?
If you weren’t so worried that you would have tripped over yourself you would have rushed down to the dance floor immediately to launch yourself at them but luckily you remained calm and level headed. Only to make your way down the stairs, immediately finding a gloved hand assisting you down the final three. A huge smile on your face as you felt Ignis lift your hand to his lips before escorting you to King Regis for your customary greeting.
A curtsey to the King and you found another hand before you, this time finding Gladiolus, another quick press of his lips to the knuckles where only a moment ago Ignis’s lips had been, before he moved you over to Noctis, his large steps shorten. You couldn’t tell if it was so that he got a little more time with you, or because he didn’t want you to trip in your dress, but either way it was nice to have him there.
Your hand pasted to Noctis, as you bowed again, only customary, as Noctis hated it but the royal protocol and all that jazz required you to bow to your Prince. You felt Noctis move you to the dance floor, having to stifle a giggle, as you heard the flourish of the band started.
“What’s so funny?” Noctis asked, as he began the dance.
You smiled nailing the first spin easily, “You.”
“What about me?” He inquired, parting from you before spinning you back towards himself.
“You would save the first dance for me?” You jokingly asked, making certain to stay far enough away, the last thing you needed was a repeat of practice when you accidentally hit his injured leg and took the both of you down.  Granted that got you babying him all evening, which Noctis absolutely adored.
“Well yeah.” Noctis chuckled. “Had to fight Prompto for the spot.”
“Where is that ray of sunshine?”
“He’s with the Marshal on duty, but he said to save him a dance,” Noctis replied, as you giggled. Those blue eyes lowered for a moment, before focusing back on you, “Y/N, I’m…”
You hushed him as you pulled further into him, “No apologies, I love all of you. This is just a part that I love too, granted slightly less but still, I love it all the same.”
Noctis chuckled, “Thank you.”
By the time you were all in the car heading home together, you had to admit that you suddenly felt that all those teasing moments of affection made you, even more, touch starved for the others. Common courtesy and Royal Rules made PDA very difficult to come by. You could only get so many hand kisses, and dances before you felt that it wasn’t doing enough. You wanted actual kisses, cuddles, and affection not these four-minute dances and second long kisses.
It was your affection and cuddles and you wanted them…
NOW!
“You all right?”
You almost didn’t hear the question, so focused on trying not to jump across the car to one of them and just explode in affection. “I’m good.” You lied, noticing the apartment come into view, you could hold it in! You did so for a month, what was just ten more, long, grueling agonizing more minutes?
You put all your attention into holding onto the hem of your dress, lifting it so that you didn’t get it caught in the car door, or the elevator door. You entered the apartment after Gladiolus and Prompto as always, the two guards making certain that the room was safe to enter, trailed by Noctis and Ignis who made certain that you didn’t get caught in the door.
You told yourself that you’d wait until you were out of the dress until you could remove your makeup and your hundreds of bobby pins. But then you saw the suit jackets being removed, the removed necktie, the slightly messed up hair, and the relaxed nature.
“Y/N, would you…”
You weren’t certain of who you had grabbed first, only to drag them towards you as you finally got a kiss that you wanted for so long. Only after a moment did you realize that it was Ignis you had closest to you, more than likely asking if you wanted help getting out of your dress before you grabbed him.
“How long have you been holding that in?” Gladiolus chuckled, only to grunt as you unexpectedly reached up, grabbing the first thing you could get ahold of, which was, unfortunately, his hair, yanking him towards you as you pressed a kiss to his lips.
“She’s worse than you Prom,” Noctis chuckled, as you turned wrapping your arms around Prompto’s neck, pulling him forward as you pressed a kiss to the blonde.
“You say that like it’s a bad thing.” Gladiolus laughed, managing to hold a daze but happy Prompto up, as you cupped the Prince’s cheeks, pulling him into your final barrage of kiss attacks.
“My love,” Ignis called, as you released Noctis, turning toward the man with a flushed face, judging by the others, he couldn’t tell if there was more lipstick on your lips or the others. “Shall we get you out of the dress and we can properly provide you with the affection you so rightfully deserve?”
You managed to get yourself under control for just a moment, before nodding, “You have five minutes, I’m getting my cuddles, dress or no dress.”
“I vote no dress.” Gladiolus chuckled, moving over to scoop you up in his arm moving you back to the bedroom.
“I second!”  Prompto cheered from behind the big guy.
“Third!” Noctis echoed, working on removing his collared shirt.
Ignis chuckled fondly, “It’s unanimous. Shall we then?”
You would be more than happy to fulfill that request, no questions asked.
Could I please request an imagine where the chocobros s/o is being held captive by Ardyn or the empire as a means to get information about the group and to lure them out and a rescue is staged? Can be successful or unsuccessful, whatever you like, if it isnt too much trouble. Thank you
Tumblr media
I believe these two go together…This one just kept being the same story, so I made it an OT4 +1 because I kept forgetting who I was writing lol.
~~~~~~
Your head lulled softly to the side as you hissed weakly, trying to recall how it was that you got in this situation. Your eyes felt heavy and you felt like you were going to go under again, a soft pant escaping your body, as you coughed up blood again, destroying the beautiful dress that you were gifted from your boyfriends for tonight’s Gala, but they never got to see you in it.
Since all of them had to be at the Citadel much earlier than yourself, they stated that they would send a car to gather you. Only the car that arrived was actually a trap set for you. Those within the Prince’s entourage are often seen as bargaining chips. You heard one of the kidnappers say something along that line.
“Are you awake?”
You flinched at that voice, the slight motion causing your bindings to tighten further around you and have you muffle a cry in pain. This man was the worse.
“Do let me know if you’re feeling unwell.” The man chuckled, “Tsk, it looks like you’ve gotten blood all over your  pretty dress.”
You let out another cry as he grabbed your hair, yanking your head back so you were forced to look to the man.
“Why the harsh look, I’ve been treating you very well since you’ve joined us last night.”
Last night, it was already in the morning, how long were you out? Your eyes turned to the redhead man as he still had a hold of your hair. How long was he going to keep you here, and you had to wonder, if or when he would get rid of you.
“Now, dear lady, how is your acting?”
*
The Citadel was in a lockdown, had been since last night. It wasn’t common knowledge of the relationship of the Prince and his closest friends had, that was not the King or his most trusted men. Yet when a note appeared last night consisting of a picture of you bound and gagged in a Nif Airship, along with a note of “More to follow”, King Regis canceled the party and had all of his men placed on high alert and refuse to allow his son or his friends to leave the Citadel walls.
“We have to go.” Noctis stated, agitated since he had not slept well last night after seeing the note.
“We are currently under a shut down enforced by the King, even you can not overrule that Noct.” Ignis replied, resting a hand on Noctis’s.
“Besides we don’t even know where they have her,” Gladiolus growled from the other side of the room. “That picture was on an airship, there’s no telling where she could be.”
Prompto sighed heavily, looking to the tea in his hands, Ignis had made it to calm down his stomach, it had grown cold a long time ago, untouched. Only to look up as Ignis reached for the cup, cradling the tearstained freckled cheek. Prompto gave the man a watery smile since the news broke Ignis had been seeing to the others, more than likely to keep his mind off of you.
The four young men turned to the door just after 8:22am when the heard a knock at the door, followed by Cor entering.
“We have received word from Nifhelm.”
The four men stood in an empty conference room, along with Regis, Clarus, and Cor, looking to a disk that had arrive less than an hour ago. With a silent conversation between them, the disk was entered into a player as the tv lite up brightly.
On the screen you sat, tied to a large plush red chair, arms held down by rope to the huge armrests, your head hung forward, your dress covered in blood, ripped to shreds. To each side stood a Magic Tek unit, one holding a gun, the other a shock baton. Everyone in the room worried that you were dead, only for a jumbled voice to sound on the screen.
“Wake her up.”
The M.T to your right, jabbed you with the stun baton, you screamed loudly as it jolted you awake. You panted heavily, before coughing up blood further ruining your once beautiful dress. Slowly your head rose to face the camera, unfocused eyes looking to the camera, blood going down your chin a huge bruise forming against your check, more littered your arms.
“Come now, as we rehearsed.”
You coughed again, only to whimper as the gun of the MT unit to your left, “Ki..King Regis, Prince Noctis, by…by request of Nilfhelm for the safe return of myself, this wish to make an exchange. Myself for the…” You swallowed, looking to the man behind the camera lens, as tears begun to fall down your cheeks. You weren’t a fighter, you had no magic. You were a simple person in love with men that were like a fantasy. You closed your eyes taking a deep breath as you continued, “For the Ring of Lucii, if these requests are not met by sundown today, they will…” You sobbed softly, trying to regain your composer again. “I ask that you please,
“Please don’t! I am not worth this! My life is nothing compared to those you protect! Please don’t, Ah!” You screamed as the MT on your left slammed the butt of his gun into your head, only for the one to your right to shocked you again.
“Stick to what we rehearsed, dear.”
You painted, spit coming from your mouth as you tried to regain yourself, turning your eyes back up to the camera as you gained your voice again, sitting back in the chair. Your hair a mess, your face swollen and bruised, your body ached everywhere still you smiled brightly, “I’m sorry, I’ve been a horrible actress. I would like to try again.
“King Regis, Prince Noctis, and to whomever else may be listening, I could not wished to have been born underneath a more lucky star than to be a part of such a beautiful Kingdom. I love it with all my heart. I’m sorry I could not return home, please forgive me.” You let out another shriek as you were shocked again, this time you head slumped forward and you didn’t move.
Only for the screen to go black and coordinates to appear quickly.
*
“I don’t care!” Prompto yelled. “They don’t care about Y/N but I do, I won’t let them keep hurting her.”
“Prompto, we can not go against the Court’s the orders.” Ignis attempted to reason, even uttering those words made him sick, he wanted absolutely nothing but to have you in his arms again.
As this was a matter of security, Regis had to involve the court, and the at this time it was the entire council against the King’s and Prince’s wishes to go on a rescue mission. Still, Regis dragged it on time and time again, attempting to appeal to the men to at the very least stage a rescue attempt to get you back. Yet the council stood firm, refusing to sacrifice even the smallest resource in an attempt to return you home, at the moment everyone was on a recess to calm down and clear heads.
“It’s not fair, she’s not a fighter!” Prompto growled tears escaping, “She’s hurt and scared, she was trying to be brave so we wouldn’t worry. I don’t, I don’t want the last memory of Y/N to be like that. We were supposed to make sure nothing bad happened to her! We, we promised her.”
Gladiolus sighed, as he walked over to the small blonde pulling him forward to hug the smaller man, stroking his head, “None of us do, Prompto. There are just rules we are required to follow.”
Ignis turned to Noctis who had been silent the entire time, “Noct?”
Noctis growled, his Father was doing everything in his power to get you back, he couldn’t just sit here. Yet Regis had often told him, that fighting with one’s words was always a tougher battle than swords. Still, that sad smile you gave, he knew the other heard it too, your soft call of love to the four of them, apologizing because you failed them, have accepted a death they could easily save you from.
“Noctis?” Ignis called as the Prince stood.
“Prompto’s right, it’s our job to protect Y/N. The council will keep talking in circles until sunset when it won’t matter. We’re going to rescue, Y/N.” Noctis growled as he moved to the door, only to stop as it opened.
“There you are.” Regis called, stepping into the room, flanked by Clarus and Cor. “The recess is almost over, Noctis I need you to understand…”
“I’m going.” Noctis replied, cutting off his Father, he refused to let anyone stand in his way.
Regis looked taken back, before chuckling, “I’m glad to hear that, what I was going to say was that, we’ve supplied a car. We will handle things here.”
Noctis turned to his three boyfriends in the room, seeing that they were all just as shocked to hear the news. “Dad.”
“We’ll keep the council busy,” Clarus replied, “You all focus on your mission.”
“ You will be able to reach Y/N quickly if you take the back road, should you require back up, we will have a medic and two troop vehicles trail you should you require them,” Cor replied handing Ignis the keys, and a smaller walkie.
Regis rested a hand on Noctis’s shoulder, “Bring Y/N back to us.”
*
“Are you awake?”
You attempted to move your head, but at this point, you figured that whatever it was that they broke inside of you was still bleeding and you more than likely would die from internal bleeding shortly. Still you were happy that the man who had entered your room was the small blonde. At least you hoped it was him, since you were blindfolded now, and the red-headed man allowed them MT units to rough you up pretty good.
“…mm.” You muttered weakly.
You heard a sigh of relief at this, “That’s good, can you lift your head?”
You could hardly manage that, as you groaned again.
The blonde made another noise before you heard him move away from you and the woosh of the door opening, “Highwind come here.”
“What is it Loqi?” A female voice called, “Shit! What did they do to her?”
“The Chancellor wants us to keep her alive, he believes that someone will come for her.”
The woman spoke again, “Where is the Chancellor?”
“Returned home.”
The lady scoffed, “Typical. Leave us with the mess.”
“It was a foolish plan to start with, risking the life of a young girl, who’s not even involved in any of this.” A new voice growled.
“High Commander Ravus.” The two called.
You recalled that name, he was Noctis’s friend’s elder brother, you flinched as something brushed your face.
“Careful, take this.”
You felt something push against your lips, but with the previous torment that you’ve been through you rather just die from your injuries than allow them to poison you.
“I assure you it’s not poison.” Ravus’s voice called, “Aranea untie her  blindfold, Loqi post a lookout.”
You blinked rapidly as light flooded your world, attempting to sit up only to gasp at the throb in your chest.
“As I expected, you more than likely have a few broken ribs and internal bleeding. This will slow it down but you’ll need to seek medical attention.” He replied, pushing the blue bottle to your lips again.
“…wha…why?”
“Why what?”
“Help…” You called weakly.
Ravus sighed softly, still tilting the bottle for you to drink, “This was never your fight.”
You smiled weakly, as you cupped his hand holding the potion. You knew all Nifs weren’t bad.
The one name Loqi quickly ducked back in the room, “The Chancellor wants us on the bridge, seems the Prince and some of his friends just go on board without the ring.”
Ravus stood, “Aranea get her out of here, take her to the starboard side, I’ll lead them to us, give her up, without too much of a fight.”
“Ruin my fun.” Aranea chuckled.
Loqi leaned back into the room, “They’ve taken out about 24 units, we need to go.”
You reached forward taking Ravus’s hand, as he turned toward you, “Thank you.”
Ravus gave you a nod before he followed Loqi out the room.
“All right Princess, we’re gonna play a little game,” Aranea called blindfolding you again, before lifting you up. “Try to hold on. It would be a shame if you died when your heroes just got here.”
*
This wasn’t good, they were drawing too much attention, they hadn’t triggered an alarm just yet, but still MT units were coming quickly and they hadn’t a chance to try and look for you. It was only a  matter of time before they were noticed on board.
“In the video, they look to have her in some kind of boiler room or something,” Gladiolus grunted tossing two more MT units over the side of the ship.
“They would have moved her by now, I believe the holding cells are typically just below the deck, toward the center of the ship.” Ignis retorted, back pressed against the hallway wall, his daggers drawn, only to notice blonde hair and red armor go by. “Gladio.”
Gladiolus peaked around the corner and smirked, “Got it.”
As soon as the smaller man stepped around the corner, he was thrown to the floor and had 6 foot 6 of muscle holding him down. “What the, get off me!”
“Loqi Tummelt, if I am not to be mistaken.” Ignis sneered.
Using Loqi as a map, the group followed his directions to the top of the airship, only to find a person in rather sharp black armor holding your body, and from the pale look of your face and the way the person was holding you it wasn’t certain of how long you were to stay with them.
“Highwind!”
The person turned, a spiked mask hiding their face, only to turn again as they saw Ravus approach them from behind. “Any plans now High Commander?”
“Give me the girl,” Ravus called, as you were hand over to the man, turning your head to avoid coughing blood onto his white jacket. “Stay with me a little longer, you’ll be home soon.”
You moaned, vision still hidden behind the blindfold, home sounded lovely. You could maybe wait until then.
“Give us back, Y/N!” Noctis barked, his sword drawn.
“Drop your weapons Prince Noctis, or the girl goes overboard,” Ravus called above the howling winds
You felt Ravus’s fingers dig further into your dress, to make certain the exact opposite would happen. He was rather the sweet gentleman.
“Do it, and we throw pipsqueak over too.” Gladiolus hissed, holding Loqi by the back of his armor, his free hand twisting the man’s right arm to his shoulder blade. This threat was real.
“Fair exchange, him for the girl,” Ravus called.
Noctis glanced over his shoulder at his boyfriends behind him, each ready to take the offense to get you back. “Drop your weapon.”
“You as well.”
Noctis held his sword out, vanishing it back to Armiger, feeling Prompto and Ignis follow his lead as Gladiolus’s broadsword wouldn’t fit in the narrow airship passage, and he was tasked with restraining Loqi.
“There shall be no interference from your friend.” Ignis called standing back as Gladiolus shoved Loqi forward, “An even trade.”
As Gladiolus and Ravus moved their hostages to the center of the ship, both waiting for the other to betray or make an unjusitce move.
“Hand her over,” Gladiolus growled, his grip on Loqi a little tighter than need be.
“Don’t do it.” Loqi growled trying to ignore the pain in his shoulder, he had a part to act. “That girl is our bargaining chip if they came to rescue her think of what else we have.”
Ravus turned to the younger man, hopefully, it was convincing, he felt your breathing start to become more labored, he couldn’t drag this out, but needed to make certain that Loqi came out this live as well. “Here.”
Gladiolus quickly shoved Loqi away as he cradled you in his arms, not daring to turn his back on the Nilfhelms before him.
“You have 5 minutes to get off my ship.” Ravus hissed, turning away from the others, sparing a final glance to you. Hopefully, you would make it.
*
It was a race at this point, once back on the ground, Ignis called the medic, who had determined that you indeed had two broken ribs and had internal bleeding and had gone into shock twice before they had made it back to the Citadel.
It was another sleepless night in the Citadel.
“We’ve got her stable, we just have to wait now.”
So they waited 3 days, you had fallen asleep and had visitors time and time again. Many of the Crownguard had left flowers and stuffed animals around your bedside. Even King Regis made it a point to stop by every day to visit you, and had the doctors personally update him on your situations as he was footing your hospital bill. He had stated that it was the least he could do since the Council through everything still refused to assist well until after sunset and you were already in the hospital.
Which came to the conclusion, they were looking to find someone to put the blame on for acting out and going to rescue you without proper protocol. Only for the entire Crown Guard to state that that did it, and they couldn’t Court Marshal all of them, who would else would be there to protect their old asses. So it was dropped.
“Hey, Iggy.” Prompto called moving into the room with the others, pressing a kiss to the man’s cheek. “How is she?”
They had all taken shifts to watch over you, once you were out the OR and given the clear by the doctors.
“She’s gotten her color back, and the bruises are starting to fade. We received some lab test back and it would appear that she had traces of potion within her.” Ignis replied, setting down some paperwork, that he had been working on.
“So what, they were pumping her just to hurt her?” Gladiolus scoffed, pressing a kiss to your forehead, frowning that an airmask was over your lips due to the collapsed lung.
“I don’t think that would be true, that potion was saving her life. I also don’t believe that Ravus was the one in the video.” Ignis replied, as Noctis all but crawled into his lap, a common occurrence.
“Yeah, when you think about it even when Ravus handed Y/N over he was nice about it.” Prompto replied, pulling up a chair, only to pout as Gladiolus took it instead. Squeaking as he was pulled onto the man’s lap.
“Indeed, Ravus may be of the enemy side.” Ignis stated, adjusting Noctis.
“But even Ravus doesn’t have that big of a stick up his ass.” Noctis scoffed, getting a disapproving look from Ignis.
“I feel we could have phrased that better.” Ignis sighed.
Prompto leaned forward brushing your hair from your face, before noticing the small Moogle beside your head, “Iris stopped by today?”
“Last night, she thought that Gladiolus was still here. She talked to Y/N for a bit.” Ignis replied.
As the small talk grew for a few minutes…
Everyone turned as they heard the EKG machine suddenly pulse, they had watched twice in the OR it flatline, but each time you were brought back. Quickly it fluttered to life as your eyes fluttered open, only for you to inhale deeply before you begun to cough heavily, rolling to your side as you begun to shiver, ripping your IVs out.
Prompto jumped from Gladiolus’s lap as he ran into the hall to grab a nurse, while Ignis and Gladiolus attempted to stop you from causing more damage to yourself. Only to step back as a few nurses entered the room, getting you under control, they checked your vitals and found that you were fine simply too much adrenaline in your body when you awoken.
You smiled weakly as the nurses left the room, stating they would bring you up some food shortly. Only to turn to your four boyfriends, step towards the bed once they gave the all clear, only for you to lower your head and start sobbing.
“I…I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”
“Y/N.” Prompto whispered, stepping forward tears falling from his eyes.
“Y/N, you have nothing to apologize for.” Ignis replied.
“I do, if I was better this wouldn’t happen and you wouldn’t, I’m sorry.” You cried trying to push away your tears as quickly as they fell. “I’m so useless and stupid.”
“Come on, Babe, don’t talk like that,” Gladiolus whispered stroking your head.
Noctis stepped forward, cupping your cheeks as he lifted your head, forcing you to look into his eyes, making certain you saw the tears before he pressed a kiss to your lips.  “We will always look for you.”
You sobbed loudly, as he stepped away allowing Ignis to press a kiss to your lips next, followed by Gladiolus and finishing with Prompto, yet your tears kept falling. You tried to stop them when you were aboard the ship but now.
“I was…I was so scared and I…” You cried harder,  it felt so much like when you were a child. Stuck inside your bedroom as a thunderstorm raged outside, lighting up your walls as you cried for someone to rescue you. You were powerless then and now, it was frightening to not have that control. To be reduced to that level of fear again. You wanted comfort more than anything right now, so you held out your arms, much like the child your believed yourself to be at this moment.
Only to find them full of love in a moment.
A fortress of love surrounded you, one that you felt was also shaken to the core. You had played the part of someone who wasn’t afraid, but all you wanted was this moment more than anything, so you allowed your tears to fall and you sobbed into a shoulder before you. You were alive enough to do so.
Two days later you were released from the hospital to the care of your boyfriends, your first stop was to the Citadel as King Regis had requested your presence since he had not been able to see you since you woke up, aside from video chat.
You were placed in your wheelchair once reaching the top stairs, having had explicit instructions that you were to not put any strain on yourself until you healed 100 percent, even though Gladiolus insisted that he carry you around, which was shut down by Ignis, as you needed to properly heal. You knew that part would be easy.
The harder part was stopping yourself from hyperventilating each time you closed your eyes for extended periods of time. Lucky King Regis footed for the best physiatric in the Kingdom, and you had wonderful boyfriends to cuddle those horrid thoughts away.
You were wheeled into the Citadel only to have a maid stop you at the door.
“Excuse me, Miss. Y/N, His Royal Highness has provided you a change of wardrobe.”
You looked back to your four boyfriends who also seemed confused, “I’ll meet you in the throne room.” You smiled, as the maid took over wheeling you to change. Only to find a replica of the dress that you were wearing the night you were stolen.
“We had given it a looser fit. We were all rather worried, and are happy to see you are faring better.” The maid smiled, helping you to stand to assist you in getting undress as you grew teary-eyed. “Oh goodness, we’ll have to fix that, the King has very exciting news for you.” She giggled, “While we get you ready, would you care for tea and cake?”
As you were wheeled into the throne room, you were shocked to see the council there. Clarus had explained the fight they had to go through with you and how the old buzzards refused to assist you, not that it stopped Regis from doing what he wanted when he brought Iris for a visit. Only for your attention to turn to Regis upon the throne, Noctis beside him.
“Y/N, I am happy to see that you are faring better.”
You smiled softly, makeup did wonders for your bruised face, “Thank you, Your Majesty.”
Regis chuckled, before straightening his spine, clearing his throat, “It seems that unfortunately, you were unable to make it to the Gala, so we will have to this without the paparazzi should you not mind.”
You shook your head, confused as to what he was referring to, “Of course not, Your Majesty.”
Regis stood, only to stop as he heard someone on the council clear their throat, “Does the council have anything to say?”
“It does not matter of her injuries, she will have to reach out to you.” One of the men stated.
Noctis bristled, along with the other men on your side in the room, as he glared down to the men, “She has just been released…”
“If it shall please the court.” You called, as you stood from your chair, stumbling to your heeled feet. “I do not mind Your Majesty, as there are rules, even I cannot be excluded from.”
Regis looked rather concerned, “Are you certain?”
You smiled bright to the court, the biggest middle finger you could do without actually extending your finger,“It would be my honor.”
You lifted your skirts as you moved toward the stairs, smiling as you felt Prompto and Gladiolus flank you to catch you if you lost your footing and stumbled backward. The climb took you quite a bit of time as you moved to the platform just below Noctis and Regis’s throne, thankful for Ignis to offer his arm to you as you stood before them, with a soft sway and very heavy pant mostly leaning on Ignis for support.
“It had been requested for quite some time, and that this thought has been on my mind, yet it seems that there are some that did not believe you deserved this,” Regis stated, his eyes cutting to the council. “Yet the bravery you gave throughout all of this, proves them wrong. The Kingdom is lucky to have one a loyal as yourself. If you would not mind, kneeling.”
You smiled feeling Ignis to one side and Clarus step to the other helping you to kneel in your large dress, before stepping away. You watched as Regis held out his hand, watching a beautiful sword appear in it.
“With the power vested in me, I pronounce you, Lady Y/N of the Lucian court.” He called tapping your shoulders with the flat end of the blade. “It is my honor as your King to bestow this upon you, and I believe no one deserves it more.”
You smiled as tears began to fall, as you bow your head, it still hadn’t completely sunken in just yet, “I am so honored King Regis,” You turned blurry eyes to Noctis beside him, “Prince Noctis. I will do my best to live to your expectations.”
Regis gave you a smile,“I know that you will, as you already have.”
You cooed, as Noctis stepped forward, offering you his hands to assist you in standing, before giving you to Ignis, who helped you to the stairs where Gladiolus was waiting. The large man fed up with your pushing back your healing as he scooped you up easily, and descended the stairs, Ignis and Noctis trailing after him, to your wheelchair where Prompto was waiting.
“I do expect that you will all see to her recovery,” Regis called. “Once Y/N is back to full health she will be taking her seat on the council. It is about time that we get some young fresh ideas.”
You smiled brightly, you were truly born underneath a lucky star.

Out Here on my Own
Part 2
Word count is 31359.
TW of abuse, mentions of non-consensual relations, and mentions of death. Very much an emotional rollercoaster. Please let me know if I missed anything this should be tagged as.

 It had been 2 years since you were last in the Citadel since you were pardon and started a new life. You stayed in touch with Lunafreya through letters, but it was difficult from time to time as you weren’t as well versed in literature as she was, but Ignis was teaching you better. Still walking into the building was as horrifying as it was the first time, no matter how much the others stated that it was fine that you were there, and actually welcomed you were still so nervous.
As you stepped into the building following Ignis, and practically having Gladiolus shove you in, you put on the brakes, seeing not just Lunafreya come to greet you like last time, but Gladiolus’s Father and the silent one, Cor, you recalled Prompto calling him. You immediately moved back, dropping back behind Gladiolus who went to greet his Father.
“Hello Y/N,” Lunafreya called stepping over to you. “Goodness you look amazing.”
You couldn’t help but feel excited about this, Lunafreya always gave off this wonderful calming scent, like most Betas but this was pure. Your tail wagged quickly as she cupped your face, stroking along your cheeks and neck.
It had been two years, and your fur had filled out completely and you put on a healthy amount of weight and muscle from hunting with Gladiolus and Ignis’s cooking along with the playful games of tag Prompto would pull you in a moments notice.
“I’m certain that you are tired, let’s get you into something nice.” Lunafreya smiled, a hand resting on your back, as she turned to her brothers. “I’m going to take your lovely bride to get dressed.”
This got you swarmed by your mates, getting licks and cuddles before you trotted off with Lunafreya.
As the four men made their way to the male dressing room, they were shocked to see the eldest of the Lucian pack, shifting out of his pure white form. Dual colored eyes turning to the group that so noisily entered.
“It seems you’ve finally arrived.”
“Ravus,” Noctis called, shifting next.
“We were under the impression that you were to have shown yesterday,” Ignis stated, shaking the man’s hand.
“Had some troubles in Tenebrae, our dear Uncle seems to have been deteriorating further than we believed.” Ravus replied as he got changed into his attire, “Yet we are here for our newest pack member correct? Noctis, you seem to keep attempting to make the pack larger.”
Noctis smirked, pulling on a shirt, “Someone’s got to since you’re too busy chasing your tail.”
Ravus chuckled, stepping toward his younger brother, showing his height, “Perhaps you should chase your tail as well, whether you like it or not dear brother, the throne of Lucis falls to you, as the throne to Tenebrae falls to me.”
Gladiolus quickly stepped between the two, rather not having to explain why the two were in another fight having only seen each other for less than five minutes, the two could hardly ever be in the same room. If only the two realized how alike they were while being stubborn than maybe they’d actually have actually gotten along after they both hit puberty.
Ravus scoffed turning away from them as he exited the room, “I shall see you in the throne room.”
The four quickly got dress worried about you being nervous left alone in the throne room, considering the last time you were there it was rather emotionally draining. Only to find you waiting outside with Lunafreya, looking so elegant in the blacks of Lucian royalty. A smile appearing on your face, as you noticed your mates approached also within the blacks of their home.
“Ready?” Lunafreya smiled, holding tightly to your hand.
You nodded softly, knowing now that if you were too frightened one of your mates would be at your side to protect you. Still, you were nervous, and you kept telling yourself not to fall into those nasty habits that you had broken, the last shackles from that horrid nightmare that you escaped from. Everyone here liked you, you hoped, well wanted to believe. Only to gasp as you noticed a man you had never seen before talking to the King and Queen.
“There you all are.” Sylva cooed, as she stepped over to your group entering the room. The woman using a speed that betrayed her age, as she actually moved beyond her sons. “There’s my sweet daughter.”
You released Lunafreya’s hand, moving aside, you were lead to believe that Lunafreya was the only one to stay close to home. Did she go on a trip and not mention it? You squeaked only to be swept you up in a hug, followed by pressing a kiss to your forehead and a quick nuzzle.
“Welcome home, Sweetheart.” Sylva cooed, wrapping her arm around your own, the both of your dresses moving against one another as she moved you further into the room. You were just along for the ride at this point. “You’ve never met Ravus have you?”
You turned confused eyes to the man, he smelt slightly different than the rest of the pack, which all smelled of nature, he had the “water” scent like Sylva and Lunafreya, but also something different like metal. That’s when you noticed his eyes, they were beautiful and two different colors.
“Y/N I presume, a pleasure,” Ravus stated bowing his head.
“Hello, Ravus.” You cooed out, only to notice the strange look he gave you before he smiled giving you another nod.
“I believe I have you to thank that my brothers have been getting their work done.” He inquired.
You smiled towards your mates before turning back to the other man, "I want to help them the best I can. You're in Tarabene correct? Your penmanship is absolutely beautiful. I love reading your reports."
Ravus couldn't stop the slightly falter at your blunt honesty, but this didn't stop him from glaring at his brothers who had a chuckle at their wife's innocent compliment. Only to turn back to you with soft eyes as you smiled up to him, "Thank you."
“Now, now Ravus.” Sylva softly scolds, as Regis moved over pressing a kiss to your forehead as well. “We didn’t come here to talk about politics, we’ve come to welcome Y/N home.”
“Y/N!”
You turned just in time to bend down and catch Iris, “You’ve gotten so big, Iris I didn’t recognize you.”
“Big sister!” Iris cooed hugging you tightly. “You’re going to stay longer this time right?”
“I believe we’re here for a few days.” You smiled, only for Iris to notice the flower pendant in your hair.
“You’re wearing it!”
“It is my favorite.” You giggled.
Iris turned huge eyes to her brothers than back to you, “I get to sit with you at dinner right?”
“Sure.” You smiled setting her down, taking her hand as you allowed Sylva to lead you to the dining area where you would all go over your party plans for the following day.
*
You were so nervous, so extremely nervous! Iris offered to take you around town to calm your nerves while they set up your actual party for this evening, but one Clarus Amicitia invited himself along, stating that he wants to check on the rounds, you knew that he was uncomfortable with you and Iris being alone.
You knew that Clarus was King Regis right hand, often going out into the city to view that the people were fine. He was also King Regis’s second in command, which was confusing since Noctis and Gladiolus had kind of the same dynamic but treated each other differently than their Fathers.
“Daddy doesn’t really go out with me a lot,” Iris replied holding tightly to your hand, as she moved you through the city streets Clarus following not far behind the two of you.
“I’m sure that it takes a lot of work making sure the Citadel runs smoothly.” You smiled back. “Ignis and Gladiolus ask me to help with some of the reports from time to time and I don’t get how they can do it all the time.”
“Do you get bored out there?”
You thought for a moment before giggling, “No, they all keep me pretty busy. Prompto and I are trying to grow cucumbers but a flock of wild Chocobo keeps eating them. But Gladdy says it was moogles.”
“You saw a moogle for real?” Iris beamed toward you.
“It was that or a white Tonberry.”
Iris gasped stopping both of you, “You’ve seen a Paleberry?”
You giggled softly, “Yeah, Prompto, Ignis and I were coming back from the market this winter and we saw a few.”
“That’s so cool!” Iris cheered, only for the both of you to jump as you heard a shrill siren, followed by a red truck rushing by quickly chased by two wolves wearing the cloaks of the Royal army.
Clarus quickly moved before the two of you, “Come along.” He called rushing after the truck.
The three of you arrived on the scene, finding a two-story house aflame, a woman screaming on the lawn, holding a young toddler.
Iris turned toward you, watching the look of horror on your face, wrapping a hand around the bottom of your dress she tugged to get your attention, “Big sister?”
You snapped from shock looking down to Iris, "I...I'm sorry..."
"Stay back!" Clarus barked, it seemed a few of the royal pack were on the scene, so Clarus would be needed for the moment. "Iris, Y/N stay back."
Iris nodded, taking your hand as she begun to tug you, you were still rather focused on the house in flames, "Big Sister, come on."
You allowed Iris to pull you towards the sidewalk where a crowd was starting to gather, only to quickly turn back to the house. You quickly knelt before Iris, scooping her up before handing her to the first Royal Gaurd member you found."Iris stay with him please."
"But what about you?" Iris cried.
"I'll be fine."
Iris went to reply, only to find you rushing back to the house.
*
The last time Noctis recalled racing down these hallways was when he was still living within the Citadel, Gladiolus chasing him down for practice, while Ignis was following afterward to make certain the larger Alpha didn’t accidentally crush the smaller Alpha when bounding around a corner. Again.
Still, as the four rushed down the hallway to the hall where Noctis’s old room was located, they were tripping over one another to get into the door. Only to push it open, seeing you sitting on a loveseat, speaking to Clarus and holding a sleeping Iris cradled in your lap as if you weren’t covered in bandages, turning to the door with large eyes at your four mates falling into the room. Once correcting themselves the four of them rushed around the chair that you were seated in, asking you in very extreme states of worry if you were okay and what happened.
“I’m fine, I’m fine.” You smiled, trying to assure that you were indeed fine and there was nothing to worry about, despite the wounds that littered your body.
Ignis knowing better and that you never liked for them to see you unwell, turned to Gladiolus having an unsaid conversation.
“Dad, what happened?” Gladiolus asked, stroking your hand, on Iris's lap turning to his Father.
Clarus chuckled, “We followed some of the recruits to a fire, apparently there was an infant in the house. None of heard the crying, but before we knew it, Y/N had covered herself in water and ran into the house.”
“What?” Prompto cried, trying to stop himself from crawling in your lap only to find it full of a sleeping Iris, so he settled for resting his head against your knee tears in the corner of his eyes, which only fell as you reached out stroking his head, giving him a soft smile as your nails moved in just the spot he liked.
“She jumped out the window, the kid didn’t have a scratch on them. She suffered a few burns on her legs and a few cuts on her arm she used to shield herself and the baby, but other than that, she was given a clean bill of health.” Clarus chuckled. “She didn’t even think twice if she was closer I would have put her on the squad in a heartbeat.”
You flushed at the praise, shifting Iris in your lap, only to hand her over to Gladiolus as he reached for her so that he could properly lay her down on the couch behind you, “I just wish I didn’t scare Iris so much.” You called holding out the scarf you were using to keep Iris warm to Gladiolus. "Please tuck her in Gladdy.
Clarus chuckled, “Iris thinks you’re amazing.”
"I wasn't thinking before I realized it, I was outside on the lawn again."
Clarus stood stepping over to you as he rested a hand on your head, "My Daughter the Hero. Gladiolus and the others picked a fine wife."
Everyone turned to the doors, as both Regis and Sylva rushed in shoving beyond their sons and Clarus, followed by Lunafreya and a rather calm Ravus.
“Are you okay, Sweetheart?” Sylva cooed, cupping your face softly, the motion soothing you automatically, as you nodded softly. The woman sitting down beside you, before pulling you into a tight hug, “My brave girl.”
“If you want, Sweetheart we can have the physician look you over and postpone the party.” Regis offered stroking your head. “It was a pretty stupid idea to have your party this evening, everyone knows Saturdays are better. We'll just reschedule for next week.”
“I don’t want to cause any more trouble.” You called as Sylva checked you over herself.
“You could never, we want to make certain you enjoy yourself. It is your party.”  Lunafreya smiled, petting your hand as she knelt before you were Prompto once sat. “It also means you can stay a little longer, and I can finally take you shopping like I promised.”
“Is that okay?” You asked softly, only to have Regis and Sylva give you a confused look.
“Of course, Sweetheart.” Sylva smiled. “Why wouldn’t it?”
Regis smiled resting a hand on your own, “Our daughter is always welcomed home for as long as she wants, a few days, months, I'm sure Sylva wouldn't mind a few years.”
You didn’t even have time to catch the tears that fell from your eyes or notice them fall, only to hear Regis gasp in shock.
“Sweetheart, why are you crying?” Sylva asked getting a handkerchief from Ravus as she began to dry your face.
You smiled through your tears, “I’m…I’m sorry. I’m just so happy. I don’t mean to cry, but it won’t stop.”
“Oh Sweetheart, you can cry all you want.” Syliva cooed stroking your hair as she pulled you into another hug. “You’re a part of our family.”
“I just never had a family.” You whispered softly,
It felt nice.
"You do now, Sweetheart." Regis chuckled, petting your hand where your ring rested.
You glanced to everyone in the room, only to find your tears falling harder as you saw the caring faces surrounding you. Only to feel your own smile widen just the tiniest bit more. "Thank you."
Your ‘Welcome home” party was everything you wished for, you were surrounded by your family, and despite how much fun you had there, you still were happy to return home. Your injuries heal rather quickly, as your mates refused to allow you to overdo it until the last bruise faded. This did give you a little more kisses and nuzzles but you didn’t mind as they kept it up afterward as well.
You glanced at the living room wall, where you nestled between Prompto and Ignis who were having a rather nice banter over Chocobos, smiling at the large picture of the Lucian Royal pack. There were actually quite a few pictures that were sent not long after you all returned home.
The picture of yourself and Lunafreya sharing a rather large piece of cake. Stating that if the two of you split it, it would only count as half. The picture of you dancing with each of your mates, it didn’t take long for you to learn the steps, but to be held so warmly in their arms, you looked like a lovesick pup in each one of them while you gazed at them.  Lunafreya even convinced Ravus to give you a dance, which was caught on film, which you realized that even though your new brother in law seemed to look stern he was actually really sweet. The picture of you resting against Clarus while having an exhausted Iris draped across your lap, using your shawl as a blanket. The adorable picture of you receiving a drink from Cor, and the toast in your honor from your parents.
In the center of all those pictures was the large family portrait where Sylva made absolutely certain that you were in the center. It reminded you and rooted you within your new role, of a Daughter, a sister, and mate to an amazing family.
*
The sun was so bright today, and a lot warmer than it had been the year previous when you had been wedded to your pack. A year of growth, there were a few challenges that came with every relationship, but nothing that you all couldn't beat together.
“I’ll go get Noctis and Prompto.” You cooed pressing a kiss to Ignis cheek then Gladiolus sitting at the kitchen table, as you stepped out the back door.
“Stay on the path, I marked for you,” Gladiolus called from the table dealing with the last issue in Citadel news.
“I will.” You cheered smiling brighter as you heard “That’s my girl”, you knew that if you left it up to Noctis he would be out fishing all day and Prompto would be taking those lovely pictures of nature, but dinner time was a special time for you pack, it was when everyone would be together and with the rule of no work at the table it meant everyone got to relax and forget the stresses of the Tenebrae treaty, which if you understood correctly meant the land would be a mid ground heaven point between the Lucian pack and others and actually would make crossing territories a much smoother process.
Politics still confused you, no matter how much Ignis attempted to explain, but you knew this meant that it would be less longer nights for your mates and elder brother working on the other end of things.
You hummed as you stepped through the forest, the sun warm in spots where it flickered through the leaves. It would have been faster in wolf form, but it was so nice today and thick fur often didn’t enjoy the late spring sun. Maybe you could make a fruit basket and take the boys down to fishing hole once you all got caught up on Citadel business. It had been a while since the four of you went out together to just relax. If you recalled correctly, the last time was when you all had to return to the Citadel to attend a meeting, that called for the entire part of the Prince's pack to make an appearance.
You only had to mostly stand there and look the part of the new Princess, it was your first official public appearance after all. You were just happy to have made it out without embarrassing your mates.
Snap!
You stopped, looking around expecting to see a Chocobo as it was still too early for Tonberry’s to be out. Plus it sounded much heavier than a Tonberry! You moved slower, hoping to get closer to Noctis and Prompto. If it was a wolf they would have sounded a howl to alert themselves unless it was a stray, but strays typically don’t cause issues, you, yourself were actually the first stray your mates had seen. Ever.
Still, you picked up your pace, worried that if you shifted it would draw whatever the creature’s attention was after you. Doing what Gladiolus had taught you, to stay within the treeline and keeping downwind.
Only to freeze in your tracks, standing before you were three Beta wolves, but unlike Ignis and Prompto, these didn’t give off a scent of calming. These wolves were breed through certain lines to make them warriors. You knew this immediately, from their red eyes and the sickly green tint to their fur. These wolves never took human form and only followed their Alpha’s command, and were known to kill upon sight.
You panicked darting into the tree line, you were at the halfway point to the house and the others. You’d be able to duck and dodge through the brush easier in human form, which you were lucky because you were too horrified to transform. You knew it was stupid to run away, but three of them against you triggered your instinct to flee.
You screamed as one leaped barely missing your leg, pushing yourself further as you realized that you were running home. Another scream left you as another nicked your shoulder throwing you forward but you managed to keep your footing. You kept running, refusing to look back, only to gasp as you slammed into something broad.
“Sweetie?”
You looked up, now noticing what you had ran into was Gladiolus, but you were panicking, now noticing the tears streaming down your face and how much your lungs burned from running. Only to gasp as Gladiolus pulled you close, letting out a growl as he stared down the three wolves that chased you down.
“This is Lucian territory Nifs, you have not only cross Tenebrae but attack a Lucian. Explain yourself.” He barked as Ignis rushed to your side, the two men putting themselves between you and the wolves.
“If you do not explain yourselves we will be forced to take action,” Ignis growled.
You let out a scream as one of the wolves pounced at Gladiolus, who easily caught the other wolf throwing it into a tree. Only to gasp as another attacked right after going for your throat, only to be kicked away by Ignis.
“Iggy, they’re after her, take her home I’ll tell Noctis and  Prompto to get there too,” Gladiolus called removing his clothing to transform.
Ignis turned easily picking you up, as he raced back towards the house, stepping into the Master bedroom, and placing you down within the closet, surrounding you within the duvet before pulling you into his lap. Tucking your head underneath his chin, as he placed your ear to his heart, using the duvet to wipe your tears.
“I’m here Darling, you’re here, we’re here.”
You recalled this phrase, it was the same one that Ignis used quite a while ago when you woke up in a sweat and crying from a nightmare and couldn’t catch your breath. He described it as a panic attack. You closed your eyes tightly, burying your face within his shoulder, worried about Gladiolus no matter how much you tried to tell yourself that he would be fine a new image would appear telling you the opposite.
You didn’t hear Prompto or Noctis come in nor feel them curl around you tightly. Your tears had stopped coming and you were still trying to catch your breath. You were unsure of just how long you were in the closet, or in the arms of your mates, your body shaking trying to feel safe, but Gladiolus. Where was Gladiolus?
Prompto sniffed uncurling around from you, as he moved to the door, hearing three rhythmic taps. Reaching up as he unlocked the door from the inside, as Gladiolus stood on the other side. The large Alpha looking over the others, only to see you still buried within Ignis’s shoulder completely disassociated with the world. The man knelt before the closet, making himself appear as small as possible.
"Gladio." Ignis sighed in relief, as he uncurled an arm around you to stroke Gladiolus's cheek. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, what about all of you?" He asked, pressing a kiss to Prompto's forehead and then Noctis.
"Fine...but Y/N." Noctis stated as he moved out the closet to allow Ignis easier access at getting out. Still holding you tight to his chest, as he stood before Gladiolus.
“Come here, Sweetheart.” Gladiolus called reaching out to take you from Ignis, pressing a kiss to Ignis forehead, he was happy to see the rest of his family safe.
You turned to look up only to stare at the man, “Gladdy? Gladiolus!” You cried as you reached up wrapping your arms around him a new wave of tears began to fall.
“Gladio you’re bleeding,” Prompto called, as Gladiolus adjusted you better.
“I’m fine, just a scratch. Come on, that’s my girl.” Gladiolus called as he moved the four of you into the living room. “Noct you mind grabbing my sweatshirt.”
As Gladiolus settled on the couch, you sat firmly on his lap, making certain that he was indeed there. The entire time you sat there you wondered just how Gladiolus had fought three of those wolves and only walked away with only just a few scratches. You had watched wolves exactly like those tear apart other wolves easily without any trouble. It wasn't that you didn't trust your mate to be strong, just you had known those wolves to not give up unless they were dead even when facing down an Alpha.
“Are you feeling better, Love?” Ignis asked taking the cup of tea he had given you to calm you down.
You looked up to the man from your where you sat on Gladiolus lap bundled in his sweatshirt, Noctis and Prompto had taken a seat as well, luckily Gladiolus's lap was big enough to hold all of you, “I…Ignis I…”
“It’s fine, you’re safe.” Noctis whispered against your shoulder.
“Yeah, those assholes didn’t know what hit them.” Gladiolus chuckled, pressing a kiss to your cheek.
“Do you know anything about them?”
You nodded weakly, fidgeting with the sleeves of the hoodies, “They’re from Niflheim.”
Ignis knelt before taking your hands within his own, “You know that we do not care as to where you came from, but we want to make certain that you are safe even if we’re not here. We will do whatever it takes to make sure that you are safe.”
You nodded again, “Thank you.”
“No need to thank us,” Noctis replied, nuzzling into your shoulder. “We love you.”
You smiled weakly, “I love you too.”
Throughout dinner you attempted to act as if nothing was wrong, the others didn’t seem to notice, and you figured that after a few days this would be nothing but a bad dream that you could shrug off and be fine with. Still, it did not stop you from the nightmare that clung to your vision as you were woken up by Noctis that evening.
Both Gladiolus and Ignis moved into the room as well, having finished up reports of the attack and rouge Nilfhielm wolves that Gladiolus had had to kill when they heard your horrid screams and both Noctis and Prompto frantic to wake you.
“Please tell us what’s wrong,” Prompto called, nuzzling into your side, both he and Noctis holding your hands since you were awakened.
You opened your mouth starting from the beginning, explaining how as a baby you were taken from your mother at a young age, so young you couldn't recall her face or scent. How as a child you were raised in an environment where no one was seen as a person and given basic knowledge, but to fit into one of three categories, warrior, worker or fodder for the Alpha. Everything was for the Alpha, a complete opposite of the life you were given now, which would explain why you weren't originally in touch with your animal side.
“…when, when you become 8 that’s when you normally are decided, most Omegas fill the lesser roles of servants to others, most maids or gifts for trades to other packs. Because of my mother, I was chosen as a Breeding Bitch.”
“What?” Gladiolus and Noctis growled at the term that was banned in Lucian territory, a term used for Omegas that would have no mated ties but an Alpha would breed her to produce heirs alone, almost always without the Omega’s consent, but it was an old barbaric term hardly ever heard of now.
Ignis gave them both a look before turning back towards you, “Please continue.”
You sighed softly fingers fidgeting with the blankets, “From then on, I was surrounded by children, to work on the motherly instinct to put forth heirs to the throne. I remember the first time I failed, I had offered a younger girl my food, and I…I was denied food and water for a week. There were so many times that I was forced into my wolf skin, forced to stay in it weeks at a time until you forget your human self and then suddenly given back. I was 8 the first time I got the barbell, 9 the first time I was muzzled, each time for longer periods, when you turn back after weeks like that you become insane.
“When, when I turned 13 I was moved into the Alpha’s inner circle. Most breeding bitches can start to produce around that time, I was not, I never had a heat nor blood moon. Because of this I was forced into a muzzle and had the barbell added constantly again and again because something was wrong with me. Still, the Alpha didn’t want to get rid of me, I don’t know why twisted or hatred of me specifically. He stated that he wished to breed me specifically I was a good...Breeding Bitch for him and even if I couldn't provide an heir I was a...
“My Alp…the old Alpha there was something wrong with him, he was sick. Alpha sickness from one that had been around too long. He knew that I couldn’t bare him, children,, so he would have me follow him around, beg for scraps of food, lay on the cold floor if I was lucky enough not to be placed within the cage he kept for me at the foot of his bed, as if I was his pet. If I ever displeased him, which was often, from being just a few moments late with breakfast, to even if my stomach growled on nights he did not feed me, I was beaten. I was hardly ever lucky unless we had a guest. He would allow them to do pretty much anything they wished, aside from mating me. He would always state that was for him, and that my first child would be one of his and only his.
“I’ve had my hair ripped out, my fur set on fire,  knives thrown at me, beaten whenever he was in a bad mood or even a good one." You explained, motioning toward old mostly fade wounds now, on your arms, legs, and the few now hidden by your hair. "He loved to see how much punishment I could take before he could break me, but the moment I showed weakness I was harmed more, so much so that I’d pass out from pain or just hunger.” You took a deep breath ashamed to look to the others, you should have told them this a long time ago, but now that it was coming out, you couldn't really stop yourself from letting it all flow out.
“I knew that with the older I got the more my novelty would wear off. So I did anything I could to prove that I deserved to live. The night I left, I got the worse beating. I had embarrassed him before some of his guests by still not producing an heir, he told me I was useless to him, that I was useless as a human or wolf and he should just kill me but that would give me what I want. All of this while there was a knife at my throat.
“So I swallowed some mothballs and covered myself with peppermint oil. I figured that even if he had caught me then I would die from the poisoning before I made it back. But no one chased me, no one tried to follow me, I ran for so long until I eventually passed out in the sunflowers. I thought that I was going to die there, and I was happy for the first time in my life.
“I was a breeding bitch would had never been outside and I just ran. I had nowhere to go, but I figured anything was better.” You muttered, rubbing the tears from your eyes, still too ashamed to look up at the men before you. “I…I understand if you were to hate me, you all deserve this information years ago. I just…”
You were unable to finish as you were suddenly surrounded by the strong embrace of your pack. All of them shedding tears for you, for your story and the hardship you had gone through.
“Y/n.” Noctis cried on your shoulder. “I promise you on my life and honor that I will protect you. I love you so much.”
“We know this was hard for you, but know that we will do everything in our power to right the wrongs that have happened,” Ignis whispered into your hair. “I love you so.”
“You are so much stronger than you think you are, I will lay down my life to make certain that I protect you from anything like that again. I love you.” Gladiolus muttered against your temple.
“Pluh…please know that this doesn’t change anything,  I love you, all of you as you are.” Prompto wailed into your neck.
You cried as you realized that the four men around you would protect you from those dreams that haunted your memories. “I love you too.”
The night you all didn't get too much sleep, instead, you were held tightly in the arms of the men time and again. Not many words exchanged between you all, but none were needed just soft touches, guiding hands and soft smiles. It spoke more than anything.
*
“Are you sure you’re feeling okay to make it? We can request a car.” Ignis stated standing beside you in the yard wearing his cloak.
It had been just over two years since you had joined your pack, and it was starting to become that time of year when the weather couldn’t make up its mind resulting in the pack passing around a cold. You being the last one to get it and unfortunately, it seemed to hit you the hardest, but you shook it off with a smile.
“I’ll be fine, I’m sure a run will do me good.” You smiled, removing Noctis’s cloak, getting a lick from him as a thank you.
“Let us know if you don’t feel good, we’ll stay slower. There’s no shame in having one of us carry you.” Gladiolus replied, stroking your head.
“I will.”
The 2-hour track did take a little longer this go around, as you had to stop a few times to catch your breath, eventually having Gladiolus take your bags and Ignis pushing you onto his back. Still, it felt nice, it was starting to get warm, and as you moved into the city, that spring wind was starting to disperse giving the warm sun you had been wanting.
“Hi, Y/N.” Lunafreya smiled engulfing you in a hug. “Prompto stated that you were still feeling a little under the weather, did you want to rest a little while?”
“No, no it’s fine, I want to see Mom and Dad.” You replied as she led you to the changing room, seeing that you were only in a cloak at this time.
Lunafreya reached forward, pressing a hand to your forehead, “You feel a little warm and do have a glow. Maybe a little rest will do some good after lunch.”
“I don’t want to be a burden.”
Lunafreya smiled as she moved you behind the changing screen before going to go grab you a dress, “My little sister would never be a burden.”
Within a quick change, you always had to hide your giggles as your attire at home was completely different than your attire at the Citadel. You mentioned it to your mates, but they stated they liked both, so you never were worried about it. As you entered the throne room, you were very excited to find that it was only your family for the next few evenings. The Eos pack summoning wouldn’t happen until Saturday, which meant you all got to catch up on family time before all the politics were to be held.
“Hi, Sweetheart, are you feeling okay?” Sylva cooed, pressing her welcome kiss to your cheek.
“We heard you were getting over a cold,” Regis replied, kissing your other cheek.
“I’m fine.” You giggled, as Clarus hugged you.
“That’s my girl, Amicitia’s know no pain, but let us know if you need to rest.” He stated which caused you to giggle as Gladiolus took the cold the worse and whined the entire time, despite getting over it in about 3 days.
“There’s no shame in resting,” Cor replied resting a hand on your head.
“I will.” You smiled, as your eyes turned Ravus, who you knew was rather exhausted, the Treaty of Tenebrae as it was officially dubbed had taken a lot out of him, and being the next Prince or maybe King was better, of Tenebrae made him see a little more aged. “Hello, Ravus.”
Ravus moved over giving you a quick embrace, with a soft smile. Everyone had stated that Ravus always had a soft spot for his sisters.
“Let’s get you all something to eat and relax for the evening.”
After the late lunch, you found yourself in the sitting room with Ravus, Lunafreya, and Sylva, only to find that you had dozed off, your head resting on the Queen’s lap who refused to move and demanded that no one would wake you or try to put you to bed out of fear of waking you. She also missed having one of her kids do this, so she was determined not to give it up.
For the next few days, you would find yourself dozing off or waking up from naps that you weren’t aware that you were taking to being with. Gladiolus joked that Noctis must have infected you, but Ignis had figured you were still getting over your cold. Still the night of the of the entire reason you were pulled together came, and despite the rest of your family constantly assuring you that you could rest, you wanted to show face. You would not be the first Princess to miss this ball, and considering you only had to stand beside one of your family members, or stand during speeches that you did not have to give since you married into the family you considered this both lucky and easy.
It was your first political party and you want to show that you were a supportive mate, even if you weren’t always certain of what was going on. You mingled with the crowd, and managed to find some way to stay within the sights of your family who would arrive should they find you were getting flustered or worried. Including when Sylva invited you to the thrones to rest yourself after noticing that you looked a little flush.
Halfway through the party, it all seemed to halt as the doors opened and another pack was introduced almost hesitantly. All night packs had been introduced time and time again, the party would stop for a few moments to greet them properly before conversations were started again. This time the one fell hush for too long.
“Introducing Ardyn of the Inuzina pack of Nilfhelm.”
“I was not expecting him to…Y/N Sweetheart are you fine?” Regis asked as he noticed the look of dread on your face.
You went to open your mouth, but you couldn't, you couldn't speak and it felt hard to breathe. This was worse than a panic attack, this was pure fear reaching up to grab you by the throat, stopping any words that wanted to come out.
“Clarus, please escort Y/N to the drawing room,”Sylva called, as she stroked your arms. “I’ll send the boys to you.”
“Come on,” Clarus stated, leading you out the room quickly, as you both got out of sight from the party, you quickly collapsed in on yourself. Your large dress trapping your legs as you seemed to shut down, it took every part of you to remember to breathe and even that was hard. Clarus knelt as he adjusted you better to make certain he had a hold of you, and the dress the man carry you out to a private waiting chamber. “You’re fine, it’s fine.” He tried to comfort you.
Yet each time you attempted to catch your breath you only found yourself panting harder It felt like everything was spinning and you were dunked underwater, you felt tears ruining your make up, and your body goes numb. You didn’t even realize that the others had joined you until you felt Gladiolus pull you into his lap, which resulted in you panicking and thrashing.
“Easy, easy Love,” Ignis called, sitting down on the other side of the larger man. “It’s just us.”
You stopped your trashing as you looked around, but then the panting returned and the numbness in your arms was still there.
“Y/n what’s wrong?” Noctis asked, sitting down beside Gladiolus as Prompto knelt before your dress, resting his head in your lap, holding tightly to your hands.
You managed to find your voice as you cried out, “It’s him! He’s here!”
“What?”
“The…my old Alpha.”
The bought the room to the rather angry silence.
“Y/N, is that monster who hurt you, Ardyn?” Ignis inquired, as you nodded weakly. Ignis turned to Gladiolus, the man quickly pulling you from the large Alpha’s hold into his own lap covering your ears, as Gladiolus let out a rather loud and dangerous sounding growl that everyone was surprised managed to come from his human throat. “Gladio.”
“That bastard has the gall to show up here!” Gladiolus growled, jumping from the couch as he began pacing the room, his lip curled into a snarl.
“Gladiolus calm down, you’re scaring, Y/N.” Prompto hissed, stroking your back as you trembled in Ignis’s hold.
“Gladiolus wait, what’s going on?” Clarus called.
“Ardyn needs to leave, now!” Noctis stated, his own eyes dilated as he fought the urge to transform and go after the man a few doors down.
“Better yet, I’ll rip his throat out.” Gladiolus barked, going back towards the door, only to be stopped by Clarus.
“Stay here, I’m going to go get the others.”
You were immediately surrounded by your family, hands trembling as you gave them a more abridged version of your life before you joined them. You watched as shocked faces became angry and as tempers begun to flare.
“I’m so sorry, I didn't mean to lie to you.” You cried hands ball tightly into the black and silver fabric of your dress, only to see Ravus kneel before you.
“This is not your fault, that man is sick has been for a while,” Ravus stated, taking your hands in his own. “He will be escorted off the grounds, I will make certain of that.”
“We’ll stay here with Y/N, I want that monster out of my home.” Sylva hissed, sitting beside you allowing you to rest against her, while Lunafreya sat to your other side a comforting hand resting on your back.
You were left in the room, with your Mother and Sister, while Cor took post at the door, the fighters of the pack moving to get rid of the nightmare within your life.
That evening while you waited, head resting in your mother’s lap, holding the small little brown pup of Iris against your chest. Your family being the protection that allowed you to catch what little sleep you did manage to get.
For the next few weeks, you all stayed within the Citadel, while an outpost was built close to your home. Clarus and Cor put 5 of their best recruits on the outlook, worried about the repercussions of Ardyn. As the old Alpha seemed rather upset about being asked to leave from his grand nephew’s home.  Of course the familial ties were never known to you, as they cast out the main branch years ago, when he refused to step down from the throne, and Regis’s father, Mors, had to forcibly take his rightful place, and Ardyn’s rule was removed as he never was in line for the throne. It was then found that Ardyn had killed the Alpha of Nilfhelm and taken over not long after he was exiled from Insomnia.
It was explained to you that Ardyn did indeed suffer from an illness referenced as Alpha sickness. A disease that often leads to many wolves who lived too long to suffer hysteria if not until the correct care. Wolf shifters lived long lives, but some wolves did not when to give that up. Ardyn was, unfortunately, one of those wolves and had been alive from well over the typical lifetime of a wolf that would wander away to join the night sky or pass peacefully when a younger member took their place.
Ardyn refused to let that happen.
Even though you were escorted home, and had the pack less than 5 minutes away in the outpost, you had a sneaking suspicion about the man who had left rather easily. Sylva had offered to let you stay a little longer, but more than ever you wish to be home. Your home, Ardyn knew where to look for you at the Citadel and you worried that he would hurt them in order to get to you.
It happened quickly, the moment that you knew that summer would be a few days away, and you would have to convince Gladiolus to at least sleep on a blanket when he refused to come inside and want to sleep upon the stars.
You were being escorted back home from the market when Ardyn appeared with more of those brainwashed Betas.
“My my haven’t you made a name for yourself.”  He chuckled moving towards you.
You froze in spot, trying to hide behind the warriors here to protect you, they refused to allow Ardyn close, one quickly transformed tossing their head back howling.  Getting one in return from Ignis, but he sounded so far away. The soldier, you recalled being named Crowe, circled you. Within a quick moment, the other four men transformed leaping at Ardyn and his pack, while Crowe ducked her head between your legs sliding you to her back as she began to race you to the direction she heard Ignis howling.
Crowe released another howl, as you laid flat against her back, she was slower than your pack as she wasn’t use to your weight added to her own, but she ducked between the trees and moved through the large field where you'd normally find Chocobo, but the birds more than likely scattered at hearing the calls of wolves. Hearing a closer call of Gladiolus and Ignis, only for you to be thrown off her back as you both tumbled through the field from one of the Beta wolves slamming into her. You rolled over, gasping as you backed away from the wolf coming at you next, only to have it be knocked out the air by the broad form of your mate.
“Gladiolus.” You cheered, as he turned to you, nuzzling you warmly, inspecting the cut on your arm from sliding across the earth.
Ignis followed checking over Crowe before his haunches rose, his teeth bared letting out a loud growl, as both he and Crowe back towards you. Your eyes turned to where the two wolves were glaring, seeing the redhead man stepping from the woods.
“Is this your pack?” Ardyn chuckled, flanked by ten more wolves. “You’re more trouble than you’re worth, do you know that.”
Gladiolus barked angrily, as he stayed close to you.
“Is this one of your little friends, if you don’t recall you belong to me.”
“No.” You muttered as Ignis moved so your hand rested within his fur, Crowe taking your other side.
Ardyn chuckled a simple motion of his hand holding the sick Betas of his own pack at bay, "So you run from me, and become the Prince's little concubine." Ardyn sniffed as the wind shifted, only a smile that was all fangs to appear on his face, "Oh mates, you really have worked yourself up in the world now haven't you? This still doesn't change what you were born as, a Breeding Bitch. More specifically my Breeding Bitch."
Your hand dug deeper in Ignis's fur only to realize that your group had been surrounded. "No!"
Ardyn made a tsking noise in the back of this throat, before looking to the Betas awaiting an order, “Kill them.”
