Ours. - Tsukiyama x Reader (+18) Ch. One!

A/N: Here it is!! The long awaited first chapter of this series!! I hope you all love it!

Warnings: One instance of degradation, very slight exhibitionism

This is a poly fic, and if anyone has any suggestions or corrections, please let me know! I’ve never written a poly relationship before, so I hope I do this justice.

Tadashi Yamaguchi and Tsukishima Kei were practically attached at the hip. while they weren’t “exclusive”, everyone knew that the two had something going on. It was obvious. Between the hushed whispers that were shared between the two of them, the shy glances and the knowing smirks, everyone knew. Especially you.

You had known the two boys for a few years now, and had gotten close with both of them. You actually considered the two of them your best friends. So much so, that they asked you to move into their shared apartment when you were looking for a place to stay.

Thankfully, the boys were usually respectful of your living conditions. Only engaging in ‘activities’ when you were out or when they knew you would be asleep. You would always know when they had done the deed while you were out if Tadashi’s face was flushed when you greeted him and if Tsukki was particularly snarky and confident.

Both boys were very attractive, there was no denying that. It seemed like every other day that either of them were getting new love letters placed delicately onto their schoolbags between classes. You knew that girls fawned over them, even if they were seeing each other. You knew that they were both openly bi, so the idea of dating a girl wasn’t exactly out of the realm of possibility, but they were also very much in love - according to Tadashi.

After a particularly rough day at school, you entered the house with a sigh, tossing your bag into the corner where it always went before kicking off your shoes. You made your way to the kitchen to grab some iced tea - Tadashi found a recipe online one day and it’s all the three of you ever drink - to calm down. Taking a sip of the sweet drink, you can’t help but smile. The boys are so good to you.

You hear rustling upstairs, followed by some groaning. Your heart seems to stutter in your chest as your breath gets caught in your throat. You can almost hear Tadashi moaning and pleading, the words ‘please…g’na cum’ suddenly registering in your mind as your eyes widen.

The boys were usually good with assuming when you’d be home from school, but to be fair, you had stomped home earlier than usual. You find a seat on the couch, scrolling your phone to try and distract yourself from the noises upstairs. You’d been reading a very good book on your phone, so maybe if you put some headphones in and read, the noises would drown out.

You open the books app before heading to your bag to search for your headphones. Unfortunately for you, the spot where you keep your bag is right at the base of the stairs. You try and be quick, but not before hearing some degradation.

“Atta boy, look at yourself.” you hear Tsukishima say. “Look how you come undone on my cock, leaking all over the sheets like a whore.”

You feel heat pooling in your stomach as your cheeks nearly flush as red as your sneakers. It felt so wrong eavesdropping on their intimacy like this, but you couldn’t help it. Plus, you were trying to distract yourself.

For a moment, the moans get louder as Tadashi cries out, presumably cumming all over the sheets. You hear him thank Tsukishima a few times before everything falls silent for a moment. Finally, you find your headphones, scrambling to the couch before you can get caught.

Your hands seem to shake as you place the headphones in your ears and turn some soft music on. You’re sure that your blush has finally calmed down while you get into the book. Tadashi comes down the stairs, hair messy and face red. His eyes widen as he looks at your figure, curled up on the couch reading on your phone.

You can see him out of the corner of your eye, but you force yourself to continue to read. Tsukishima follows Tadashi, smirking at the slightly shorter boy. You hear him say something, but it doesn’t register. Tadashi sits on the couch, and you can tell he’s mortified.

“Hey Dashi.” you say, taking a headphone out with a smile. “You just wake up?”

You can see how Tadashi physcially relaxes as you play dumb. You hear Tsukishima snort but choose to ignore it. Tadashi manages a nod.

“Y-yeah,” he says. “Didn’t sleep too well last night.”

“I hope you got some decent rest.” you say, turning back to your phone, still smiling. “I know how much you love sleeping.”

Tadashi nods, his cheeks still flushed. Tsukishima grabs two water bottles from the kitchen, handing one to Tadashi. He takes it with a grateful smile, taking a small sip.

“How was school?” Tsukishima asks, sitting on the recliner. You shrug.

“Same as usual, total shit.” you reply. “I don’t know why people keep trying to push my buttons.”

“Maybe,” Tsukishima starts, crossing one leg over the other. “Because you’re fun to fuck with.”

You roll your eyes. Tsukishima always said that you were fun to mess with, ever since he found out how hotheaded you got when frustrated. Tadashi would always try to smooth the situation, which usually resulted in the two of you gossiping in his room until the sun started to come up.

“I’ve been told.” you reply, placing your headphones in your lap. “But it’s not right if someone keeps teasing me about shit i cant control!”

You feel anger bubbling up in your chest as Tsukishima smirks. Tadashi silently pleads with him to drop it, but of course he doesn’t. Tsukishima loves seeing you get all riled up. He does it on purpose most of the time because you’re hot when you get mad.

“What, did they call you short again?” Tsukishima teases. “You’re like a chihuahua, tiny and full of anger.”

You slam your phone onto the couch, glaring at Tsukishima. He just smirks at you, crossing his arms on his chest. In all honesty, it was hot seeing him so cocky. You chew your bottom lip.

“You’re an asshole.” you snap, standing up. “All you do is fucking pick on people and laugh at them! I’m tired of being the punch line of your short jokes!”

Tsukishima walks over to you in three long strides. He towers over you, smirking down. He does this to Tadashi to fluster him, but all it does is make you horny.

“You look so cute when you’re mad.” you don’t expect Tadashi’s voice behind you.

You turn, eyes wide. “Wh-what??”

Tadashi just gives you a sweet smile, standing up as well. He walks over, putting his hands on your hips as he leans in, breath on your neck.

“We’ve been meaning to ask you,” Tsukishima starts, brushing some hair out of your eyes. “We’ve been wanting to add someone to our little circle, fucking them and taking care of them. Would you be interested?”

Your head is spinning. You aren’t that short, but the boys still tower over you. And the mere thought of the two of them using you makes you weak in the knees. There’s suddenly a wetness sitting in your panties.

“What do you say, pretty girl?” Tadashi leans down, pressing a kiss to your neck as you gasp.

“Give her some time to think about it Tadashi.” Tsukishima’s voice is sweet yet firm, so Tadashi nods as Tsukishima turns to you. “But I’d like to talk to you about it later, if you’re interested.”

You nod, letting out a soft breath as the two boys turn on the tv, quickly finding something to watch. All of your anger is gone, replaced with confusion and horniness. eventually, You settle down a bit, watching the show that the boys put on.

That evening, you’re in your room, typing away at your laptop. School sucks, but you still want to pass and get your degree. With writing being such a large part if your schooling, it was inevitable that you’d be cooped up in your room.

There’s a soft knock on your door, pulling you away from your work.

“Come in.” you say, looking up.

Tsukishima opens the door, giving you a soft smile. “Do you have a minute?”

“I’m sure my essay can wait a minute.” you reply, quickly saving the document and closing your computer so you can give him your full attention. “What’s up?”

“I wanted to talk to you about what i said earlier,” Tsukishima starts. “I wanted to make sure that we didn’t make you uncomfortable.”

You were slightly shocked at how sweet Tsukishima was being. Ever since he started dating Tadashi, he became nicer. Of course, he still had his asshole moments like earlier, which was a given, but you noticed a stark change in behavior to you and others that he tolerated. He smiled a lot more and was actually trying his best to make sure that Tadashi was okay and that you were okay as well.

“Oh, you didn’t make me uncomfortable.” you say. “It just took me by surprise.”

“I’m glad that we didn’t make you uncomfortable.” Tsukishima says, a soft blush covering his cheeks. “But I wanted to go over some things so that stays the same, is that okay?”

You listen to Tsukishima talk about his relationship with Tadashi, how he was the dominant one and Tadashi was the submissive one. You knew that already, as it was blatantly obvious, but you just nodded along.

“Basically, we wanted to also be in a relationship with you as well.” Tsukishima says finally. “It was originally Tadashi’s idea, but i liked it too.”

You were shocked, looking up at Tsukishima with wide eyes. Both of them wanted to date you? But how would that work?

“If you want, we could take you out on a date so you can talk with the two of us.” Tsukishima adds. “You w have to give us an answer right away, but I just want you to know that you don’t have to say yes if you don’t like the idea.”

“No, I like it.” you admit, a bit quicker than your liking.

Tsukishima’s eyes widen. “Really?” he asks. “You do?”

You nod, taking your bottom lip between your teeth as your face burns. Tsukishima smiles as he stands up.

“Awesome,” he says. “Tomorrow at 7, be ready cutie.”

Tsukishima leaves with a wink, shutting your door behind him, leaving you too stunned to go back to your work. Your essay may have to wait more than a minute.

You couldn’t sleep.

As exhausted as your body may have felt, for some reason, you just couldn’t sleep. You had been laying down for what felt like hours now, watching the ceiling, as Tsukishima and Yamaguchi slept soundly on either side of you. You hated it. You hated how they fell asleep so easily, while you’re still stuck there suffering.

Maybe you could try to only wake up Yamaguchi?

No, if you woke him up, then he would want to wake Tsukki up to help figure out why you couldn’t sleep. And after a long day of volleyball training, you would definitely have to deal with a grumpy Tsukki.

Maybe, if you managed to slip away, you could watch tv or play on your console for a bit until you felt tired enough to fall asleep. It was risky though. The two of them have pretty strict rules about you being on electronics past a certain time after they caught you pulling an all-nighter once. And escaping from the bed definitely wouldn’t be an easy task since Yamaguchi stayed with one arm locked around you at all times, and Tsukki always seemed to sleep with one eye open considering the smallest movement could wake him up in an instant.

On the other hand, they did talk about how practice was extra brutal today. Maybe, if you were lucky, they would both be too exhausted to notice your absence. It was definitely worth a shot. So you decided, against your better judgment, to at least attempt it.

You began slowly gliding your way down the bed and trying your best to maneuver out of Yamaguchi’s arms without waking him. Every so often you would catch him and Tsukishima stirring slightly, making you freeze in your tracks, but neither of them ever fully woke up, allowing you to slip away undetected.

Once you were in the living room, a safe distance away, you decided that maybe watching tv wouldn’t be a good idea since the loud noise might wake them up, so you settled for playing on your console with some headphones in. Your paranoia was peaked, tensing every time you heard so much as a creak in the floorboards, but eventually, you calmed down, thinking you were definitely in the clear to continue after about twenty minutes had passed without a sign of either of them.

You filled the time continuously fidgeting with the controls as quietly as possible. Eventually, time began slipping away faster than you expected. Minute by minute, making its way up to hour by hour. You didn’t even realize how much time had passed until you glanced over at the time on the top of your console. 3:00 am. Woah… have you really been playing for that long? Maybe you should try sleeping again.

You stood up, uncurling from your position on the couch when you heard an all too familiar voice from across the room.

“Ahh, please. Don’t stop on our account,” Tsukishima remarked, causing you to drop to the floor and let out a loud scream in surprise.

“Tsukki! You didn’t have to scare them like that,” Yamaguchi spoke up, walking out from behind him and over to you. He reached down and helped you back onto your feet.

“Why not? They’re the one that scared us first by sneaking away in the middle of the night.” He broke eye contact with his boyfriend to look over at you, the glare he was sending your way, made it perfectly clear that there would be no Yamaguchi saving you this time. You were definitely in trouble. “We thought you had resorted back to your old bad habits of trying to slip away when we weren’t looking. To think we would find you sitting comfortably in the living room, breaking a completely different rule instead. Care to enlighten me on just why you thought this would be okay? Didn’t you learn your lesson the last time you stayed up all night?”

Yamaguchi placed his hand on your back, giving you a sad look that, for some reason, filled you with guilt. “He’s right, Y/N. You looked so exhausted last time you stayed up this late that it really worried us. We thought for sure you would’ve gotten sick, and thank god you didn’t! We put the ‘no late-night gaming’ rule in for your own good.”

“Exactly, so what made you think it was okay for you to go and break it behind our backs?”

You felt so uncomfortable as both of their unwavering eyes locked onto you. Even when you didn’t respond right away, their gaze didn’t falter. Instead, Yamaguchi spoke up, gently whispering your name, to encourage you to speak.

“I just… couldn’t sleep,” you whispered

“You couldn’t sleep?” Tsukishima repeated, “So your solution was that, instead of using common sense and maybe waking one of us up, you decided to sneak away and play video games and lose even more sleep?”

“Well, it was just… you had a long day today, and I didn’t want to wake you up when I know just how exhausted you both were…” You trailed off, finding yourself avoiding eye contact with both of them and instead opting to look at the floor.

If you were looking at them you would’ve seen the touched look that fell over Yamaguchi’s face at your words. You were being considerate towards your boyfriends and chose to suffer alone instead of asking for help, just so they could catch up on some rest. At least that’s how he took it. And from the way Tsukki’s expression softened ever so slightly, he was probably thinking something similar.

“Just shut up already, and let’s go to bed.” He sighed, “All of us.”

You followed behind him. The tense atmosphere slowly fading, the closer you got to the bedroom. You slid into your usual spot between them, making your way under the covers and slowly closing your eyes.

“Face me, so I can make sure that your eyes are closed and you’re actually attempting to get some rest.” You obeyed, lazily turning your body over, causing the blanket to slip off you just a bit. You weren’t sure which one of them it was, but you felt the blanket being pulled over you again, covering you in the gentle warmth, and making it even harder for you to stay awake.

“Don’t worry, angel. Tomorrow when we come home, I’ll make sure to pick up some melatonin to help you get a whole night’s worth of rest.” Yamaguchi soothed. Rubbing up and down your back. Your muscles relaxing under the touch of his warm hand.

“And, Y/N?” Tsukishima called out to you, slowly running his knuckles down your cheek.

“Mhm?” You hummed, as you felt your body starting to sink, your mind barely grasping onto consciousness.

“Next time you can’t sleep. Just wake us up so we can help you, instead of sneaking around like an idiot.”

♡ Both of them are pretty close friends, so they find out about each obsessions for you fairly quickly. Although Yamaguchi is definitely the one to bring up the idea of sharing you.

♡ On the beginning Tsukishima is against the idea of sharing you, but only because he’s in denial of his feelings for you. He tries to act like he doesn’t care but then Yamaguchi puts the idea of someone else stealing you from them and that makes him realize his obsessive feelings for you.

♡ Yamaguchi is adamant that they need to start a relationship normally with you. As much as he’d love to keep you away from everyone else and keep you in their home, he really doesn’t want to scare you or upset you. However Tsukishima thinks that they only way you’ll ever be with them is kidnapping you, and he eventually convinces Yamaguchi that it’s the right way to get you to be with them.

♡ Even if they do plan on kidnapping you, Yamaguchi does in convince Tsukishima that they need to at least befriend you. Yamaguchi is definitely the one you like more at first because Tsukishima teases you a lot. He doesn’t know how else to express his feelings.

♡ Its not long before they kidnap you, Yamaguchi is constantly worried for your safety and Tsukishima is very insecure and always thinks someone is going to steal you from them. So that causes them both decide to kidnap you very quickly. They make sure to knock you out first as not to scare you or hurt you. Even if they know that you’re going to be terrified at first.

♡ Yamaguchi and Tsukishima are both very different in how they react to you after kidnapping you. Yamaguchi is apologizing profusely and telling you that you don’t need to be scared.

♡ During that though Tsukishima is also saying you don’t need to worry although he’s trying to keep you safe and he makes sure you’re not moving around to much and hurting yourself on the restraints.

♡ Despite how tough Tsukishima seems, he and Yamaguchi are very physically affectionate with you! Yamaguchi sleeps with his arms around you and his head against your chest, and Tsukishima is constantly resting his head on top of yours.

♡ Tsukishima usually has to do the punishments, Yamaguchi just can’t bring himself to do it. Even though they aren’t that bad, just locking you up for a bit. But either way, Yamaguchi just can’t do it. But don’t worry, they’ll both be willing to comfort you after. So expect lots of cuddles from them after your punishment.

A Game Of Truth Or Dare

“Let’s do it!” You clap your hands together.

..

You all sit in a circle, Suga on your right and Tsukishima on your left.

“Who should ask first?” Hinata asks.

“Hmm I don’t know..I have a half-empty water bottle we could use to choose?”

“Ok we will use that! What are the rules we are gonna do?” Suga says.

“Well I was thinking that we just choose who asks first and then whoever gets asked does whatever, then spins the bottle?”

“Sounds like a plan! Ok so Y/N since you’re the host, you can choose who asks first!” Daichi suggested.

“‘Kay! Uhhh Tanaka why don’t you start things off?” You point at him.

“ALRIGHT! Hinata! Truth or Dare?”

“Truth!”

“Is it true that you are actually innocent?”

“I don’t really know- what’s that supposed to mean?”

“Nothing, nothing.”

Hinata grabs the bottle and spins it.

“Yamaguchi! Truth or Dare?”

“Hmmm.. Truth!”

“What's the longest you've ever slept?”

“Probably half a day” He laughed.

“Half a day?-“ Suga choked.

“Yeah..” Yamaguchi spins the bottle “Kageyama. Truth or Dare?”

“Dare.”

“Ooo someone’s being risky~” Noya added.

“Let someone do your hair!”

“Fine.” He looks at you.

“I’ll do it! Be right back, I’m going to grab something.”

“This is gonna be great.” Tsukishima snorted.

“Hehe yeah” Hinata chirped.

“I’m back!” You announced as you walked over to Kageyama, a hair tie on your wrist.

“Oh-“ He mumbles.

You tie his hair in a ponytail. The team laughs along with you and he blushes.

“Done! Hehe”

“You look great, King.” He says sarcastically.

“Be quiet.” He grumbles as he spins the bottle.

“Suga, T or D?”

“Dare.” He smirked.

Kageyama was sitting there thinking about a dare and Noya suggested something to him.

“Whisper something suggestive to the person to your left.”

“But that’s Y/N-“

“It’s a dare.” Kageyama shrugged.

“Fine..” he looks at you and you can already tell you’re gonna be blushing by the end of it.

He gets close to your ear and whispered- “Be a good girl for me, will you?”

You froze, face red and eyes wide.

“Woah- what did he say~?” Tanaka teased.

“N-NOTHING!” You stutter.

“Uh-huh~” Noya chuckled.

The rest of team had to pay respect to whatever he said because they got to see your adorable face all flushed.

“Ahem- anyways,” he spins the bottle. “Noya. T or D?”

“I’ll do a truth!”

“What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve done in front of a lot of people?”

“When I tried rolling thunder and just straight up fell instead-“

“Oooh I remember that!” Hinata recounted.

“It was funny.” Tsukishima sneered.

Noya takes the bottle.

“Y/N!! T or D?”

“Dare!” You declared.

“Hehe.. kiss the person you last texted that’s in this group on the lips!”

“...fine.” Your face flushed again.

You look at your most recent text- Asahi. (Y’all were talking about plans for the sleepover btw.) You showed Noya and he smirked.

“Go on then Y/N.”

You crawl over to Asahi and whispered an apology before grabbing his face and kissing the brown haired male.

Then you pulled away and hurried back to your spot blushing more.

He sat there for a good few minutes completely flustered and still, not processing what just happened.

The others were jealous, but they didn’t act on it since it was your choice to accept.

“I didn’t think you would actually do it-“ Noya said.

“Oh shut it.” You quickly spin the bottle.

“Daichi! T or D?”

“Truth.”

“What is your favorite season?”

“Probably summer.” He spins the bottle.

“Tanaka, T or D?”

“Dare!”

“Do a plank for 45 seconds.”

“Oh-“

Tanaka gets in a plank position and holds it. He struggled a little bit, but did it.

The bottle landed on Tsukishima.

“Aye Tsukki! T or D?”

“Don’t call me that. And I pick truth.”

“Is it true that you- hmmm tolerate us?”

“You guys are quite dumb a lot of the time.”

“Tsukki!” You look him in the eyes.

“But.. I guess so..” He muttered, but everyone heard.

The game went on— but the questions and dare were getting personal a lot.

It landed on you again after a few more rounds.

“Y/N! T or D?” Suga asks.

“Dare!”

“Put on an embarrassing outfit you have.”

“W-what”

“You heard me!” He laughs.

Unfortunately for you, you were really into the idea of having a maid costume. So, you just recently bought one.

“Okay.. be back in a sec!”

You run to your room. Opening your closet, you grab it and switch outfits.

(Pick one.)

You slowly walk back to the living room, heart pounding fast.

The team was waiting curiously as to what you picked out.

As soon as they spotted you, face covered in a blush and in a maid outfit, half of them almost fainted.

“Y-you look n-nice.” Yamaguchi tries to break the silence.

Blood came from their noses at the sight. Yes, even the salty, more aggressive boys.

“A LITERAL ANGEL FROM THE HEAVENS” Tanaka started.

“WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE THIS MASTERPIECE-“ Noya added as he we praising the gods.

“G-guys.. you’re bleeding-“ You hurriedly grabbed tissues and handed them each some.

Which didn’t really help since you’re wearing a maid outfit. It was just too hard to not blush more.

They are quick to try and collect themselves.

“Ahem.. sorry Y/N. But you look cute!” Suga compliments.

“Yeah!” Hinata cheered.

“Ah- thank you.” You smiled, still super embarrassed.

Sitting back in your spot, you spin the bottle once more.

You all stopped playing Truth or Dare.

Hinata suggested to just talk about our favorite things and since you guys didn’t have any better ideas, you complied.

It went a little like this:

“So what’s your favorite color Y/N?” Asahi asked.

“[insert fav color]]!”

“Me too.” Kageyama shared.

And other questions similar to that. After a bit, you all were getting tired.

“Hey, how about we get to bed? I didn’t realize it was already 1 am heh. Guess time flies when having fun!” You suggested.

They sleepily accepted the offer and grabbed their sleeping bags, pillows, etc.

“Goodnight guys! I’m heading to my room if you need me!” You proclaimed.

“Goodnight!” (Daichi, Asahi, Noya, Tanaka, Yamaguchi)

“Night.” (Tsukishima, Kageyama)

“Sweet dreams!” (Suga, Hinata)

You grin before going to your room and laying down, eventually falling asleep.

...

You wake up pretty early in the morning. Surprisingly, before everyone else.

Walking into the kitchen, you grab some water and drink it.

“Maybe I should make breakfast for us?” You thought.

You ultimately decided to do so.

You grab the ingredients you need and make some pancakes. While cooking, you hum the melody of your favorite song.

The first to wake up is Sugawara. He smells something good from the kitchen, so he goes there.

“Ah- ‘morning.” He says sleepily.

You turn around, slightly frightened.

“Good morning Suga! I was just making food for us— I’m almost done.” You smile sweetly, before looking back.

His heart is pounding. Something about your smile, and the way you’re cooking for them just strikes his heart.

“May I help? It’s the least I can do.”

“Sure! Just grab a pan from that cabinet over there!”

You two made all the food together for the team.

“Could you go wake them up? I’ll make the plates.”

“Mhm.” He walks back to the living room to wake up the others.

Moments later, a few of the members walk in along with Suga.

“Good morning guys!”

“Morning..” they say with tiredness in their voice.

“There’s some that I can’t get up- could you try?” He chuckled.

“Alright, the plates are on the table!”

You go to wake up the heavy sleepers— Noya, Tanaka, Yamaguchi, and Kageyama.

You knew exactly how to wake up the two second years. So you started with that.

“Hey.. food’s ready.” You shake them.

“Food?!” They both shoot awake.

“Yep! In the kitchen. I made pancakes.”

“Food.. from the goddess..” They almost cried. “THANK YOUUU”

They ran to the kitchen.

Now for the first years who were left. You thought of something and were kinda embarrassed about doing it, but it usually works in movies?

You go to Yamaguchi first.

“Wake up sweetheart~” you whispered in his ear.

His eyes shot open. As soon as he realized what you had said, he blushed a whole lot.

“Breakfast is ready!”

“R-right..”

Next, Kageyama.

“Wake up, handsome~” you whispered again, shaking him gently.

He instantly woke up, blushing and not even hiding it.

“There’s food in the kitchen!”

“O-okay...”

You were surprised that worked so well since they are hard sleepers. You followed behind them.

You all sat at the table on the ground.

“Hey uh Y/N.. why are Yamaguchi and Kageyama blushing? What did you do to them-“ Daichi asked.

“I just told them to wake up!” You giggle.

They knew you were probably lying, but they ignored it and ate.

“Thank you for the food!”

—after eating—

“That was so gooood! You really can cook!” Hinata gushed.

“Agreed.” Asahi spoke.

“Ahh thanks!”

You all spend some more time talking before they had to go to their own homes.

So when it was time to go, most of them complained while packing back up.

“It’s alright, we could always plan another sleepover! Plus, I’ll see y’all in practice.”

“Yeah.. but it was sooo fun!” Noya insists.

The rest agreed silently.

You say your goodbyes, and they leave one by one.

You sigh, already missing them. This feeling of emptiness when they’re not around is not just you, they feel the same way.

This relationship dynamic is honestly so cute to everyone that knows you

Just the sweethearts that are you and Yamaguchi with your giant, sarcastic boyfriend, it makes everyone coo a little when they see you hanging out

And by hanging out I mean it’s usually you and Yama dragging Kei around places and him pretending he doesn’t enjoy spending time with you (anyone that knows him can tell this is an act)

He is also there to stop you two doing dumb stuff because neither you nor your other boyfriend has any common sense and Tadashi is surprisingly clumsy 

The three of you tend to walk with you in the middle because the other two are very protective of you

Anyone that stares at you too long is getting glared at by Tsukki and Yamaguchi uses your walking position to place a protective hand on your waist

Although, sometimes its one of them in the middle because Yama is so cute and Kei is fun to fluster  when you both hold his hands

Kei pretends not to get flusters easily but he is secretly super weak for you or Tadashi acting cute - which means you guys can convince him to do a lot

You all have different dating styles so you switch between date ideas

One of Yamaguchi’s favourite is picnics or walks around gardens, he gets really happy around nature and you and your taller counterpart will literally bend over backwards to make him smile 

Tsukki prefers dinners or movie nights at home he likes to be close with you guys and not have to worry about other people judging you guys 

You couldn’t care less as long as you’re with your boys to be honest

Talking about you and Tsukki being soft for Yamaguchi

He is literally your BABY

Like he tries his best to put both you and Tsukishima first and make you happy, he’s always up for cuddles and can sweet talk you out of any mood you’re in

He is so verbal with his affection but is also a massive cuddle bug and he is probably touching or complimenting you or Kei at all times

Tsukishima is less verbal with his affection and shows it through the little things

Like keeping plasters in his bag for when you two inevitably do something dumb or having little snacks in his bag for when he knows you’re in a bad mood 

Which he is strangely perceptive to, Tsukishima prides himself in being able to read you and Yama and being able to catch bad moods before they escalate

There is a lot of ‘tch’s when you’re being affectionate to him though even if you and Tadashi are aware they’re literally the fakest thing

He just likes to pretend he hates affection

God forbid you’re sad though

Yamaguchi is literally at your side in an instant, holding your hand and asking what’s wrong

Expect like so many kisses and hugs if you’re upset he’s like a puppy honestly, he just wants you to be happy again

Tsukki will be ‘dragged’ into the hugs as well but he’s gonna pull your favourite snack out of nowhere and try to get to the bottom of the issue

They’re honestly so supportive in their own ways and you get the best of both worlds when it comes to their affectionate vs lowkey tsundere personalities

Yamaguchi balances Tsukki out, Tsukki balances Yamaguchi out and you complete them

Dedication. 

❖To Kageyama and Hinata, that’s all that mattered. Volleyball. That’s all that made their hearts flutter and feel immense joy. So what made you different? A foreigner from a different country, that seemed to always be writing or reading in a language they didn't understand. Hair that stood out, E/C eyes, a wider nose, and bigger lips.

You were in Kageyama’s eyes, weird and strange. In Hinata’s, you were different and new. 

❖A third-year student, that seemed to know not a single thing about Volleyball, so why were you in the gym where they practiced. They watched you glanced around the room before landing on Asahi and racing over to him. You both talked silently, a smile spreading across your lips as he passed over a notebook. A notebook Hinata and Kageyama had seen you writing in.

Why did Asahi have it?

❖They watched you leave, happier than you came, and before they knew it, they were surrounding Asahi and why you were here. “She let me read one of her stories.” He stumbled over his words, inching away from them. 

Stories. So you wrote stories. 

Kindness.

❖You were kind, even if neither of them talked to you, you seemed sweet. Tsukishima and Yamaguchi had met kind people before, so another one didn't impact their life. You looked different and spoke with an accent and at times spoke in broken Japanese. Yet you what made you stand out besides being a foreigner?

In Tsukishima’s eyes, nothing. In Yamaguchi’s, everything.

❖Another day walking through the same halls, and they had passed a certain classroom. Your classroom. Peeking through the windows, you seemed upset. Not the usual smile, or the resting bitch face you had, you looked sad. 

Why were you sad?

❖You repeatedly tapped your pencil against the blank page, you had writer's block. Or maybe you didn't want to write, but maybe you had to. “Hey L/N!” The two watch Sugawara walk into the room sitting across from you, still not noticing the two 1st years, your smile had returned as you spoke with your friend?

Did he make you happy?

❖A volleyball game and everyone was on edge. They would surely lose, but what was different? You appeared with a smile before the game and wished them the best. Hinata and Yamaguchi believed they could do anything, especially with you on the sidelines with Coach Ukai. Kageyama and Tsukishima both refused to lose in front of a 3rd year, especially if this was your first Volleyball game for their team. 

They won.

❖“Congratulations on winning.” A small smile across your lips, you stared at them with pride. “Thank you for believing in us L/N!” Hinata was the first to speak to you, he couldn't hold in his excitement. “You did amazing Shōyō.” You had known their names. 

❖“Do you know mine!?” Kageyama went next. He refused to let Hinata of all people have your attention. But why? “Kageyama Tobio. I know all your names.” Did it matter to you? They wanted to know why.

❖Every game, they invited you too. Hinata coming to you jumping up and down about a new move he learned and how you just had to see it in action. Kageyama would leave a note on your desk, or just expect you to come to the game. Yamaguchi would shyly mention that he had practiced, and he did better if you were there. Tsukishima would just say the date and time of the game and walk off. 

To you. It was very obvious they liked you.

❖Your graduation came sooner than they hoped. Not once ever confessing until that night you were to head back to America. They all showed up on your doorstep and confessed in the dead of the night. They expected to be shot down, to be rejected, but all you did was let out a soft sigh.

“Find me again once you graduate. I’ll tell you if I like you or not.”

❖The next day, they watched your plane leave. 

❖Kageyama and Tsukishima wanted to move on. They wanted to forget about you, to ignore you and devote all their time to volleyball, but how could they. That night Tsukishima gave you a pair of his headphones, demanding that when you both met again, you’d give them back. Kageyama gave you his volleyball, saying it was good luck, and he’d need it back.

❖Two years passed like a breeze at their last High school Volleyball game. Sugawara, Asahi, and Daichi all sat in the stands cheering them on, and there you stood, near the back with a smile.

“Good luck!”

❖How’d they hear you over the loud cheers of the crowd, no one was sure, but they did. Tsukishima’s headphones around your neck and Kageyama’s volleyball tucked beneath into your arm. Hinata’s scarf wrapped loosely around your neck, along with a headband that kept your hair in a puff, that Yamaguchi bought as your graduation gift. 

❖They won that game. Play harder than before, but before they could greet you. You had disappeared. 

You were in Japan, that’s all that mattered. 

❖“You're going to keep hiding from them?” Settling into the guest bedroom, Sugawara stared at me with a questionable look as he placed my bags to the side. “I'm not hiding.” 

“Then why won't you go see them?”

“I'm just waiting.”

“They have feelings for you. I hope you see them at graduation.” Turning to Suga and slipping the headphones off and plopping down on the edge of my bed. “I will.”

“Oh, my goddess Y/N. You actually like them back!” Suga grabbed my face and stared into my eyes. His smile spread across his lips. Slapping his face away, I turned my head to the side. “I don't...”

“I gotta tell Daichi!”

Hesitation.

❖Most things I've accomplished within my life I had been hesitant on. Coming to Japan, I wanted to, but I was hesitant. I would be on my own. Writing, something that I believed myself in most times, to where I published a book, and it did well. Yet I was hesitant to share it to Asahi, but I did. My first volleyball game I went to, seeing Karasuno play, I was hesitant to go. Like I was a bad omen, and I would mess them up somehow. 

My feelings. 

❖I tried, I really did. An 18-year-old being in love with a few 16 years old, that’s depressing. When I went back to America, I tried to go on different dates, move on, but it didn't work. With Tsukishima’s headphones tucked neatly on my desk and Kageyama’s ball in the corner of my old apartment. With Hinata’s scarf hanging on the wall and Yamaguchi’s headband on my dresser. Every day, I saw these items, every day I wanted to contact them, but I didn't. I didn't want these feelings to be true.

❖So why did I come back to Japan if I wanted to forget them so badly? It was their last volleyball game, and I wanted to see it in person. So before I knew it, I was on the next plane to Japan and stayed at a hotel before contacting my old classmates. In a place that felt so foreign two years ago, became my home. I cried when I saw them. 

The volleyball game

❖I didn't them to know I was here, so when all their eyes whipped up to me, I broke and quickly ran once the game ended. I couldn't face my feelings. I regretted it, too far to turn back. Too late to run and apologize. I hesitated again. 

“Dammit.”

❖Graduation came sooner than I expected. The next thing I knew I was sitting with Sugawara and Daichi waiting for the once baby flightless crows to walk across the stage. Every fiber in my being wanted to run and leave, while the other half of me refused to listen to my panicking brain and im 100% sure that if I attempted, Daichi would drag me right on back. Letting out a soft breath before my ears picked up Hinata’s name and he proudly strutting across the stage. He had grown taller. He looked out into the crowd, scanning his eyes across before landing on me. 

❖Feeling my heart stop, I watched his smile widened before he left the stage. 

❖Kageyama was next, walking across the stage seeming to know exactly where I was. Averting my eyes quickly, I could still feel his intense glare. Daichi and Koushi making fun of me, which earned them a painful pinch on the shoulder. Tsukishima went next, then Yamaguchi. Their stares less intense but determined. All mentally vowing to find me, I made a promise after all.

❖Soon the ceremony was over, letting me dart outside before the crowd came and get some fresh air. Mentally psyching myself up for this encounter. “Found you.” Stiffening in my position, I slowly turned around. It was Kageyama. And he is tall, staring down at me before glancing down at the old volleyball in my hands. “You kept it... Why?” Looking at the volleyball before passing it to him. “You said it was good luck and to give it back to you.”

❖“They got yo’ ass surrounded!”

❖Hearing Koushi yell, before I realized it, the four volleyball players surrounded me. “We graduated Y/N.” Hearing Tsukishima mutter, just as warm arms hugged me from behind, careful to avoid my hair. “I've missed you Y/N...”

❖“Shōyō,” Muttering quietly, my hand moving up to his head, softly patting it before remembering where we were. Pulling away, I turned and faced all of them. “Congrats.” Smiling, I looked towards Koushi and Daichi for help, but they only waved happily, before mouthing that they'll text me where to meet for dinner. “You owe us an answer.”

❖“Right now?” Tsukishima rolled his eyes and before I knew it, I was being pushed through the crowd and towards the empty gym. An answer… I didn't want to admit it, I didn't want to say that whatever i felt, love, was true. That i felt what I did for them. Yet at the same time I was ready, ready to tell them.  Tsukishima was the one to slide the gym doors open, letting Yamaguchi and Hinata push me inside, Kageyama close behind. Hearing the gym doors shut, I turned around, facing them. Standing on the court, I pulled off Tsukishima’s headphones and passed them to him. 

❖“Keep them.”

❖“You told me to give them back--”

❖“I lied. I don't need them.”

❖Dropping my hand to my side, I felt like I was in high school again. “I still like you a lot, L/N.” Yamaguchi spoke confidently, his hands in his pockets. “I know.” Muttering, avoiding their gazes. “Do you like us?” Turning to Hinata, I took a hesitant step back, clutching the headphones tightly.

❖“It’s fine if you say no.” Kageyama shoved his hands in his pockets, letting his old volleyball drop and roll to my feet. If I say no, I’ll be running away. Regretting this decision. Covering my eyes with one hand, a shaky breath left my lips as tears spilled from my eyes. “I tried to ignore these feelings. I really did, but i missed y’all a lot while i was away...it scared me to be honest. That I fell in love with four different people. That I... I couldn't decide--” I explained everything, while crying my eyes out. It felt like a heavy burden was off of my shoulders, that I could finally be honest. 

❖Once I stopped crying, I looked up. Both Hinata and Yamaguchi in tears, Tsukishima with a smirk, and Kageyama with a rare smile.

Dedication.

❖To Kageyama and Hinata, that’s all that mattered. Volleyball. That’s all that made their hearts flutter and feel immense joy. So what made you different? Maybe it was the way your lips curled up in embarrassment when you became flustered or when you looked fully entranced by something you read. Or when you always held their hand as they walked or you cheering loudly in the crowd, always making time for them to appear. Or when you introduced them to western ideas and food. 

You were in Kageyama’s eyes, different and strange. To make his heart flitter like volleyball did to place a gentle hand on his shoulder and comfort him.

In Hinata’s, you were understanding and loving, to indulge him on his late night walks, and even after he’d lose you’d be proud of him.

Kindness.

❖You were kind, even after knowing you for years, you were sweet. Tsukishima and Yamaguchi had met kind people before, so why did another one impact their life so differently? You being their biggest cheerleader and helping them every step of the way, or never you choosing between them and choosing to compromise. Or after a long day passing out in their arms only to wake up at three am with 15 different story ideas. 

In Tsukishima’s eyes, nothing. You were nothing like the other kind of people he had met. None made his heart so full or raise his body temperature.

In Yamaguchi’s, everything, like the kind people he had met, but yours was 10x, you believed in his capabilities and that alone was more than you could ask.

Tsukishima did love you. And you knew that. But you couldn’t turn a blind eye to the fact that he and Yamaguchi had a long history together. 

The three of you had met while working at the history museum in your city. Tsukki and Yams had already been working at the museum since high school giving tours of the different exhibits. You worked the check in desk for the tour groups, organizing who took which groups out, and planning out tour schedules. Yamaguchi being the sweetheart he is, was always eager to help you out and show you the ropes of the job, dragging the reluctant Tsukishima with him. 

Tsukki had an obvious soft spot for Yamaguchi. He would go along with whatever Tadashi said, or seek him out for a comforting hug after a long shift. The two boys just seemed to know exactly what the other was thinking. Yamaguchi always stayed by Tsukki’s side as well, going to him out throughout the day to chat, and bringing him snacks. They always seemed to be on their own, separate from everyone else. You had always noticed a tension between them, but you could never quite put your finger on the cause of it. 

As time passed, the three of you became close friends, even hanging out on your days off. You became an addition to their little group, always separated from others. It was like you were all in your own little bubble. Before long you grew to have a deep love for both Tsukishima and Yamaguchi. You thought for sure it was platonic, despite the occasional flirting.

You’d be lying if you said you didn’t catch on to the lingering glances and touches Tsukishima and Yamaguchi shared. You weren’t blind. Sometimes you joked about how the two of them were dating. You were a little jealous of how close they were, not quite sure of which boy you were jealous of. But all thoughts of what could be going on between them were put on pause when Tsukishima asked you out on a date. 

Yamaguchi was supportive, seeing as Kei had never really taken interest in someone before. Tsukki grew to like you quickly because like Yams, you could handle his banter and had jokes of your own. You and Tsukki clicked well, the transition from friends to lovers was almost seamless.  

The three of you still went out often. You loved being around the two boys, and it never felt like anyone was a third wheel. More often than not, your dates with Kei included Tadashi. It just worked when all of you were together. You had fun alone with Tsukki too, nothing ever felt forced, but there was a pestering feeling that something was missing. You could tell that Tsukki felt it too. The two of you were in love, so why?

Then it hit you.

 You were on a coffee run with Yamaguchi, wanting to surprise Kei who was already at work. The two of you had reached out to grab the third drink, your hands collided, fingers slightly intertwining. As you pulled away you noticed a blush creep onto Tadashi’s cheeks. Your heart was racing. You loved Kei, why were you feeling like this? 

The two of you spent the walk to work in an awkward silence, neither wanting to address it. When you arrived, Tadashi called out to Kei. As the tall blonde turned around, you could practically see his heart swell when he looked at the two of you. He tried to hide it but you know him. 

Was he smiling at me? Or Yams? Both of us? Why did Tadashi blush when our hands touched? Why did my heart beat so fast? You pondered.

If you were being completely honest, you had definitely fantasized about a threesome with them before. Who wouldn’t? The three of you had great chemistry. But this was a feeling beyond the simple pleasures of sex.

You glanced over at Kei and Tadashi, watching their facial expressions as they chatted. Thankfully, neither boy had noticed you had zoned out for the last couple minutes. “Aah well it's time for me to go get ready to start the museum tours! I’ll see you guys later!” Yamaguchi pulled you and Tsukki in for a group hug and then ran off to get ready for the work day. 

“It’s almost opening time I should go to the check in desk I nee-”

“Y/n.” Tsukki cut you off.

“Yes?”

Tsukishima grabbed your arm and gave you a knowing look. “You’re spacey today. Is something wrong?”

“No! I’m just a little tired!” You are touched that Tsukki knows you so well he can pick up on your moods, but also caught off guard that he was so direct about it. 

“Okay.Sure.” Tsukishima rolled his eyes, “We’ll talk about it later when we get home.” He kissed your forehead and followed Yamaguchi. 

Shit, he caught on. You wondered if you should bring up the weird tension you’ve been feeling. How would Kei react? How do I feel about Yams? How long has this been going on? You decide nothing good will come of spending the whole day pondering. You just have to face Tsukki when you get home and put an end to the questions that cloud your mind. 

The work day flows normally. You check in the different elementary school classes that are coming in to take tours, get the kids excited to learn and then pass them off to Yamaguchi, Tsukki, or one of your other tour guides. Tsukishima takes a tour right before your lunch break starts and you’re partly sad you’ll be spending lunch alone, but also relieved you won’t be interrogated about your feelings yet.

“Y/n! I brought your favorite!” You look up and see Tadashi placing a pastry and drink on your desk. “Let's go eat outside!” 

Your mind is racing as you find yourself sitting under a large jacaranda tree with Yams as your lunch companion. It wasn’t a rare occurrence, Tsukki couldn’t always take lunch breaks at the same time as you and you and Yamaguchi had been pals since you started working at the museum. But this time felt different. You couldn’t tell if Yamaguchi could feel the shift that started this morning in the coffee shop so you decided to prod him.

“Thank you again for bringing me lunch from the bakery Tadashi,” You smiled and placed a hand on his arm, “I really appreciate you! And I’m glad we could eat together! You leaned on him slightly, as a friendly gesture. As you looked up at him, you could see the faintest pink on his cheeks. 

“I-It’s no problem! You seemed sad earlier and I thought you could use a nice surprise!” Yamaguchi stammered, fiddling with his hair. 

Fuck, you mentally panicked, was he always this cute? You gazed over his freckles that were hiding under the rosy tint of his cheeks. Yamaguchi had always supported you and made sure you were having a good day at work. He had been there for you since you met, he had even introduced you to Tsukki, the man you adored. Your heart started pounding as you thought back on just how much Yamaguchi meant to you.

You loved Tsukishima wholeheartedly. Nothing about that had changed. He was someone you considered a soul mate. But, now you realized the missing link in your relationship was Yamaguchi. You loved him too. You had loved him from the start, never realizing it was more than platonic admiration. And now you had a hunch that he felt the same.

“Hey, the museum is closed tomorrow, did you have any plans for the day?” You asked with newfound boldness. 

“Oh! No I’m free tomorrow.” Yamaguchi’s face lit up.

“Come over tomorrow then, okay?” Tadashi nodded and the two of you walked back to the museum to continue work for the day, making plans for tomorrow.

Tsukishima watched you and his best friend from a window on the second floor. He was annoyed. Not with you, and not with Yams either. Just annoyed. His chest tightened as he watched you both chat so happily. Was he jealous that you were with Yamaguchi? Or jealous that Yamaguchi was with you? Maybe both. He couldn’t tell. Not to mention you’d been acting weird this morning. He clenched his fists and prayed the rest of the shift would go by quickly. 

The walk home with Tsukki was grueling. Neither of you were ready to talk about the lingering issue at hand. Tsukishima lightened the mood by telling you about the chaotic tour group he had, and how multiple children tried to climb up on the displays. You laughed as you imagined your usually composed boyfriend frantically trying to wrangle up rowdy kids. 

“I’d say don’t laugh at me, y/n” Tsukki grabbed your hand, “But I love the sound of your laugh.” He muttered as if he didn’t want you to hear.

“And I love you!” You interlocked your fingers in his. This put him at ease and he hummed happily. Once you made it to your apartment, Tsukki went to take a shower as you cleaned up a bit, wondering when to bring up Yamaguchi. You planned and plotted how to talk to Tsukki, trying to hype yourself up. 

“Hey, I’m thinking of making curry, is that good with you?” Tsukki called from the kitchen. You were sweating bullets, nervous, but ready to just get this over with. It had been on your mind all day, you had a lump in your throat as you headed to the kitchen.

“Hey..” you started. Tsukki looked up at you, sensing your nerves. 

“Kei, I know about your feelings for Tadashi.”

Tsukishima stiffened at your words. He was too taken aback to hide his shock.
