Just because I dislike certain aspects of Jensen doesn't mean I am an "@ss hole". How do you even know what I am like in real life or what my actual emotions are? Just because you interpret my written posts a certain way doesn't mean you nailed the intention behind them.

My post had nothing to do with Jensen and everything to do with me getting objectified or put on a pedestal for my looks rather than being genuinely loved for who I am. Believe it or not, that is an incredibly painful thing that makes you lose hope.

Love to me is not "being liked". That is approval and, if you are chasing that, then you aren't living your authentic self.

Jensen actually posts about his personal life a lot and he also talks about it constantly so not sure why you are stating otherwise or why Jensen is even being mentioned at all? I guess he too gets objectified and people "love" him in all sorts of twisted ways. Over praising him isn't love, no human can grow without support AND challenge. Like it or not, some fan based 'adoration' is often dehumanizing and toxic. Do not confuse high praise for all love just as criticism is not all hate. When you have a lot of qualities and are also attractive a lot of people will shower you with praise aiming to use you and then they will turn around and trashtalk your behind your back or, even worse, love you in an obsessive, dehumanizing way. None of that is anything close to love. It's very hard to connect with people when they are too busy worshipping an image of you.

American men are pretty terrible.

People have extremely unrealistic expectations of men. My father for instance was tall, a PhD scientist, a photographer, he was polite, a supporter of civil rights etc. Not good enough. Her mother on the other hand stayed with an alcoholic, abusive, pedophile to the bitter end because she didn't want to lose societal status as a respectable woman. This is female morality in action. Her relationship, Her children are not as important as her social status or money. I am sure you can come up with more stories.

It wasn't good enough. People wouldn't hire him. Ok, the post office hired him because he fought for his country. So, you know if we go out and kill people we might get treated a little better.

But I still had this one fucking security guard steal my glasses and the other threaten to arrest me for loitering. One gay guy I know was almost killed. Lesbians aren't treated like that. I think the big issue is that most men overvalue sex and because they overvalue sex they see other men as "not providing value" and as a threat to them because they might fuck their wives and/or girlfriends.

Men are the ones who should have the authority and many "individual" men often do, but this individualism is poisonous. It would be much better if we took the feminists advice and had one top woman to run society who would be ousted out if she did a bad job. Actually, a lot of things the feminists want would be good. more transwomen for example and gay rights. That means there is less men sexually competing with one another.

Instead, men should think of themselves as the moral center. The ones who do and create everything in the image of god and therefore the ones who society should be taking care of. However, we don't think like that in general and society in general doesn't do it.

God put men in charge for a reason, but society doesn't want to accept it it seems. It's not socially acceptable. "tired old white patriarchy" and what they mean is God's supremacy and right to rule and set the tone.

If we are the moral centers than we can focus on building relationships and such. However, since we are not taken care we have to fight tooth and nail to survive and mostly we don't survive. Men die at much higher rates than women.

At first such comraderie could probably only be built around hatred of women though. Because men do not love each other and one thing that they share in common is a shared trauma of having loved women a LOT and then having women turn on them in the most horrendous ways. having to go out and get rejected again and again by women and finding out that women aren't really interested even in relationships but just want to have a "relationship experience" with money involved or date tall guys simply because they are tall.

A lot of stuff falls into place if you start thinking about god as the authority which most men don't. They want to believe they are the authority rather than god. However their authority is based on the idea that they are "the image of god" which is to say, the image of god also has authority, and it's not random either. The human male body complete with the beard is probably one of the most authoritative forms in all of reality, perhaps because human men are smart and creative enough to think of superpowers like shapeshifting and such.

other forms might just be too complicated, such as 17 dimension equivalent of a dragon-mechwarrior for instance. If people could see and relate to that form they might accept it as an authority, but no one can.

So, we probably shouldn't be too fascist. thinking that we have the right to rule simply because we have this form. But it's telling that the form of a man is the form that all the other power movements so far have to fight so hard against. There's something "natural" about accepting a man's authority whereas people just don't really tend to think of women as the authority.

it's very important to note that the universal declaration of human rights talks about "acting in a spirit of brotherhood" and the american constitution talks about Equality between men. There's a reason that all the characters in the Bible are men and it's that so often in society you don't see too many men as women take over those spaces as one gorilla guy or simp or another tries to be super chivalrous by supporting women's rights as a way of ousting other men.

I had a fight with this girl I was hanging around, i wasn't even fucking her, but I had guys up in my face threatening to beat me up. I hadn't touched her and she was screaming at me louder than her. This is why I may be completely wrong about the secret societies. They may be completely necessary as men banding together to do things is completely anti-thetical to the common people's conception of morality which is based completely on the concept that women, not men, are the moral center. Our prisons are full because they are sending petty drugdealers, homeless guys and guys who won't pay child support to prison. Cops are just shooting men and no one is defending our right to weapons. When women have them it's "empowering" but when our rights are taken away "well, that's a threat gone"

We are oppressed. I am oppressed because I am god, but other men are oppressed because just being a man supports god. 99% of all prisoners are men. Crimes that women routinely commit are not considered crimes.

Solving male problems like homelessness should be easy as there are endless empty buildings. However, no one will do this because that would show compassion towards men and would interfere with high rents for the worst men who are willing to accept the perks of the demon's system and authority which hold it all up.

I am honestly not sure who is worse, the Demon or the people because even in this system people can exercise free will and typically do so to degrade men for simply existing. They are not paid to do it, they just do it out of general antipathy. It's honestly pretty hard for one guy to equal billions of these hateful (including self-hating men) people.

Single mothers, bitter about the situation they are in pass on this hate and the system that goes along with it down to their children. I'm finally awake enough to write something coherent so if I may, allow me to ramble back :

You're 100% right about the fact that this AU changes nothing about their actual dynamics, honestly I used to dislike the sibling AU so I totally get you. But now I just think it'd be hilarious, plus we can put some depth in this scenario so here's my takes on the Asano-Akabane Drama :

Gakuhou disowned Karma so he's just acting as if he has only one son and that's all. Gaksuhuu isn't allowed to mention his brother at all.

There's a woman out there who divorced Gakuhou Asano and wasn't completely ruined by the process and I fucking love the idea of them fighting with a fake politeness in front of their lawyers (I think she must be as manipulative and smart as him if they were married). I'm sure she took a few valuable things from him.

Gakushuu and Karma try to hide that they're related. When people find out they just throw a bunch of lies to explain the family drama.

Karma is petty and angry and hurt so he wants to prove to his dad that he is worth something. He's going to show him that he can beat his golden boy without Gakuhou's special teaching, he'll show him that it was a mistake to abandon him. So the reason why Karma cares so much about not putting too much effort into his work is especially because Gakuhou encourages everyone to push through their limits, and Karma is willing to prove to him that he can be better while being lazy. And this is also why Karma is one of the few in Class 3-E who really cares about his grades since the beginning and is ashamed and dissatisfied with himself when he's not at the top.

Gakushuu kinda resents Karma because he got to leave the home and live happily far from their father. Karma has everything Gakushuu secretly wants but knows he can't have, so he's jealous and wants at least to beat him at exams to prove to Karma that he IS the better son. Crushing his enemy is what he has been taught since childhood and his academic status is the only thing he really has.

Gakushuu thinks his father's weird attitude toward Class 3-E has something to do with Karma being there, but he can't ask about Karma because Gakuhou keeps pretending the boy doesn't exist, and he can't ask Karma himself because... well they're not really close actually.

Their mother didn't want to leave Gakushuu with his father, but the boys were given the choice of whose parent they wanted to live with and they had different preferences. The mother tried to stay in contact but Gakuhou actively stopped her, and she eventually got too busy with work to keep trying.

(I also read a fanfic where Karma changed his first and last name so Gakuhou genuinely has no idea that the boy is actually his son)

Alternatively, if we want to step out of the resentment route : they both dickheads and they do fight for the first place but they don't actually hate or dislike each other. They have a "normal" sibling rivalry and they care about each other. They bond over trashtalking about their parents. And just imagine their friends' reactions when they find out that the two are related. Karma's just like "yeah he's my brother" as if it's not the second most improbable thing in the world after Koro-sensei's existence.

What do you think of Siblings Karushuu AU ?

Short Answer:

It's fine, they're cute... I guess. I don't care much for it, not because I dislike the idea, but because I feel like them being siblings doesn't really add much to their existing dynamic.

Long Answer:

I attempted to write Siblings!Karushuu early on. I have 1 complete oneshot, and I think one WIP (I don't remember if I published it in my Scrapbooks collection).

Thing is, I'm not sure what exactly about them being siblings is a draw as opposed to them being unrelated or just interacting in any other premise.

The both of them already have quite a robost family setup that influences their personality - Karma with absent parents, Gakushuu with his too-present father (and ?absent mother).

Sibling AU fics that I've read tend to shoehorn in Gakuhou to be Karma's father, which is expected since he's an established character in canon, and his role can't be omitted without too much damage to the rest of the plot. (Furthermore, if you're the kind of person who is writing a Karushuu siblings AU, you're clearly interested in the Asano family dyanmic (that's actually all there is to Gakushuu) so you're just not going to omit Gakuhou.)

Unfortunately I've observed that this rarely influences anything about Karma. Karma either remains as he is in canon and it's explained that he's a black sheep in his family to have ended up in 3-E, or the plot puts him in 3-A and it's explained that he either has an impending transfer to 3-E/it's his last chance; or that his nepotism is what keeps him in 3-A. Karma's values and principles about academics and the inherent worth of human beings is rarely affected in these retellings (because that's what people like about Karma) but because that's Gakuhou's main shtick, it feels like the whole premise didn't matter at all.

There's even less to say about Gakushuu's mother because neither Karma nor Gakushuu's mothers are present in canon anyways and it's easy to just explain them away as unimportant, given how much space Gakuhou takes up in the mind. Usually I read that their mother takes off with Karma and leaves Gakushuu alone with Gakuhou, so... no changes there.

Another potential appeal is the sibling dynamic between Gakushuu and Karma - but then I'll just question what exactly about a sibling relationship differs from... any other relationship between two unrelated people. Karushuu in canon already has the sort of snarky-bantering-rivalry energy anyways, if that's the thing you're looking for. I've seen fics that write them as estranged by having their parents split them up as kids, but then that's essentially the same as a childhood friends AU. I guess we really can't replicate familial love and the obligation of being blood related unless it's this specific context. The idea that they're cut from the same cloth, only separated by time, but they will eventually reunite... oh hey, we can make them soulmates, put a curse on them, or make a demon pact.

There's also the resentment angle, as overcompeting siblings tend to have, "you look like the other parent" acidity if we throw in a divorce plot. But that doesn't affect their existing interaction, I feel - it gives them different things to say when they fight, but they're still rivals as they would in canon.

I don't know. My point is that I guess I can't think of a premise that would interest me in a sibling au above any other au if I had the option. Any differences that do arise feel miniscule and don't affect the broad strokes of whatever I'm looking for in a fic.

...Not even incest, which is a hot take. Yeah, I read/write and enjoy incest. But come on, whatever Gakushuu and Gakuhou have going on in canon already is far more interesting than anything I could ever manufacture for sibling Karushuu. The strange enmeshment and tension that the canon Asanos have in Mamasano's absence, ...could work similarly to sibling Karushuu's furtive us-against-the-world codependency under their Father's omniscent gaze... if you're into that sort of thing. I could be, but more often than not the Asano family dynamic pulls me away from looking elsewhere.

I mean, I'm just not into the siblings thing. You could be. Don't take this post as my condemnation of Karushuu siblings, I still enjoy reading them and the quality of the fic takes precedence. I've had my expectations pleasantly subverted before.

It seems cloaks/capes are considered basic equipment for adventurers. And it seems that at least the cloaks are given by the guilds to every member, considering they all look the same. They basically act like uniforms, only in different colours to show which guild an adventurer belongs to.

So, why doesn't the farmer get one? (Aside from meta reasons, like can't force the player to wear one and that custom clothes are generally being pretty buggy.) It's not like there are too many people in the Pelican Town's guild and not enough cloaks for everyone. I'm pretty sure the other adventurers noticed the famer's lack of 'standard equipment' too.

The rumours that start from this might actually explain why the other adventurers are so rude to the farmer. If they believe the farmer didn't accept the cloak from Marlon it could show that the farmer thinks they are too good to be lumped with the other adventurers. Or that the farmer isn't serious about becoming an adventurer, ready to go back to working on the farm as soon as things become too hard/dangerous.

Or, it could look like Marlon doesn't want to give them a cloak, marking them as not actually an adventurer, just someone accepted into the guild to fill an empty position until a better fighter comes along. Imagine adventurers whispering to each other that even Marlon can't wait for the new recruit to die already, and it should happen soon enough considering Marlon didn't even bother to fill the paperwork for assigned official equipment.

"Let's go, Hunters, let's go!" Hange was yelling at the top of her lungs with so much fervor Levi was torn between watching the game and just observing her frenzied expressions. It was the last quarter, and the game was a do-or-die situation. "That's it--" Hange was banging her fist against the railings, earning her an eyeroll from her best friend. "Show those Warriors what you got!"

Levi had to tap her on the shoulder. "Oi, Four-Eyes, keep it nice--"

But Hange kept going. "Those motherf*ckers got nothing on you!"

He slammed a palm to his face. Levi knew her very well that she would trade her green shirt for their team to win. The Hunters were leading against the Warriors, and Levi was thankful they were playing on the home court.

After a matter of seconds, someone behind them finally had had enough.

"Hey, tell your girlfriend to shut up and sit down!"

A boomer Warriors fanatic was slamming his beer cup so hard some of it sploshed against Levi's face. Neither of them was clearly impressed. Dagger-eyes were met with dagger-eyes, and if it weren't for the guards stationed by the exit, Levi would have tackled this bloke right then and there despite his short stature.

Thankfully, Hange had heard the old man and was polite enough to stop the trashtalking. Once the coach had called for a timeout, she finally sat down and offered her handkerchief to her best friend who had been doused with some disgusting beer.

"Sorry about that." She was being honest.

Not that Levi could blame her, anyway. He could smell her faint scent on her handkerchief as she folded it in half and wiped his other cheek with it. "Just tone it down, Four-Eyes."

"Yeah, but you need the energy so that they can catch you on cam," Hange sighed. "I've always wanted to get caught in action just cheering for the Hunters."

"Well, trashtalking the Warriors won't help much, either."

"I guess so." There was another roar of cheers from the crowd as Eren Yeager, MVP of the Hunters, scored a triple-point shot. Prior to going to the stadium with Hange, Levi had engaged in a bet with Erwin to see if the former could confess to his best friend. It didn't seem like it was happening, not with the way Hange was so focused on the game. So much for keeping his hopes up.

"Oh my god, Levi--" She was tugging his shirt. "Look who's on the kiss cam!"

Levi looked up from the stadium just in time to see two familiar faces smooching on the wide-screen: Nanaba and Miche Zacharias, the campus lovebirds. Hange squealed as Nanaba pulled her boyfriend closer by the nape, while Miche deepened their kiss as he held her by the waist.

"Shit, that was one hell of a PDA," Levi muttered to himself. The Hunters were on defense and the crowns had gone wild. He folded his arms as he sat back on rickety seat, just in time to overhear his best friend.

"Yeah, I bet that would have been nice."

He froze on his spot. Slowly, he turned his head towards Hange. "You want to be on the kiss cam?"

Hange's eyes were sparkling. "Yeah, if that's alright with you. I don't think I'd ever want to have my first kiss on cam with anyone else... except for my best friend."

He was red on the cheeks. "Stop saying such nonsense, Four-Eyes. Sit down."

There was an uproar down below them as Hange retreated to her seat. The Warriors had taken the ball back and were attempting to score a couple of points, but the Hunters were having none of it. It was a sea of green and blue, foam fingers and beer cups flying in the air.

It was now or never.

Levi slid his arm around Hange's shoulder, making her face him with much shock. He leaned in closer to her that there noses were bumping against each other. This was bound to happen. His heart was beating loudly as the drums, and he was sure that his best friend was ready for the kiss. But not yet, no. He was waiting for the right time, the right moment.

"Any second now," he says. He could feel Hange's breath against his.

Hange nodded slowly, her forehead against his. They both can hear the game almost coming to a close, the Hunters winning the championship for this season.

From the corner of Levi's eyes, the wide-screen flashed with their figures, and that was how Levi caught the signal. With one swift motion, he pressed his mouth against Hange's, and the world suddenly became a blur.

Ishraq will be all, "It's not kind to talk about someone like that behind their back". He's got that gentle elder brother vibes going on. Half-lecturing, half-chastising.

He will accidentally make them feel bad for trashtalking, like a disappointed and well-intentioned parent.

Deva

Oh, it's kill on sight for her. There's a feral glint in her eyes when she pounces. Deva will clap back in an Elle Woods-esque manner, clever and sassy and just a little smartass-y.

She will deliberately make them feel bad for trashtalking. Nothing too damaging, since it's still a crushing stage. Probably.

Yi-feng

Of all four companions, Yi-feng is the one you want to least offend in a social context.

He will deliver the most scathing comment about the trashtalker with a picture-perfect polite smile. They will not be able retort without at least looking like the one in the wrong.

And poor boy is still just crushing.

Yeshe

Yeshe will straight up glare at the trashtalker, burning a hole in their head with their eyes. How dare. You speak ill of my crush? Jail for you for One Thousand Years!!!

Yeshe will not talk to them and will try their best to avoid them. But if they ever cross paths again, Yeshe will stare them down. Their silent displeasure is deafening.

Being the manager of Seijoh / Aoba Johsai (as a first year)

- Honestly thought of you as another Oikawa fangirl trying to snoop their way into the team 

- You scratched your head and they saw your confusion with their accusations. Not knowing what to do, you just apologized and shyly admitted that you didn’t know of this ‘Oikawa’ they were talking about leaving them dumbfounded.

- You instead politely asked “I’m really sorry for being misinformed. Am I supposed to know this person?” cue the stabbing of the setter’s heart

- The team laughs at this for weeks together with Oikawa sulking for the same amount of time

- You are the instant favorite of the third years. I mean,,, they would never pass out on an opportunity to bully poor Oikawa-sama

- Oikawa didn’t speak to you that much at first because he is the QUEEN of petty and if you didn’t know him, then he didn’t know you hmp!

- He softened up when you took care of him when he twisted his ankle. Even if he didn’t talk to you, and sometimes was a little mean, you tended to him with no hesitation at all

- Iwa became the big brother figure to you. He tries to help you with your work whenever he can. He’ll carry the water bottles you’ve finished refilling, reach for objects in high spots for you, even go as far as carrying your bag when you walk together

- Yahaba tried to flirt with you but your fellow first years protected you from his sappy pick up lines

- Since then, you became the first year trio (Kindaichi still gets flustered at times when he talks to you)

- Trashtalking with Kunimi is part of your routine now. At times you insult each other but most of the time you insult other teams. “Look at that captain cat, he looks like some weird rooster” “Woah, Tobio’s team got Jesus on their side”

- Oikawa doesn’t put on a front when he’s with you

- Kyotani is too shy to talk to you but he respects you a lot. He knows taking care of a munch of morons is tough work

- Not to mention this one time he saw you get mad, Some of Oikawa’s fangirls tried to crowd and barricade the setter. They started pushing causing Oikawa to fall and sprain his ankle yet again

- He didn’t fear a lot of things but the face you made sent shivers to his spine. When you spoke so sternly to the girls with a cold look in your eyes, it made his knees buckle (Out of fear and well maybe he crushed on you a little bit)

- When Matsukawa and Hanamaki sees you stressing out or sees you sad, they will definitely drag you to some ramen shop and will debate on the superior broth flavor which will make you laugh. They’ll just look at each other with smug smiles signalling their victory 

- They absolutely adore it when you hand out their water bottles and give each of them little words of encouragement 

- They’ve been playing better since you arrived because of how you take care of them and because they want to be a team you can be proud of ♥
