One of the actually great things about getting older, is that new music is coming out all the time, and you sometimes find out you like entire genres of music you didn’t know about or hadn’t listened to

Sometimes you’ll suddenly get in the mood for something you loved when you were younger, and it’ll be both familiar and somehow a new source of Happy and you’ll listen to it for multiple days on end just like, yessssss so nice to hang out with you, old friend

In 1992, both the United States and Russia have soecial agents to deal with Rosen Association androids from the Mars colony that went rogue and violently escaped to Earth. Rick Deckard wss assigned to retire six escaped androids. The world was a dieing place after the nuclear World War Terminus. The nuclear fallout had severally damaged the world and off planet colonization was heavily pushed (though those already too genetically damaged or with too low an IQ were condemned to remain on Earth). Most of the animal life was wiped out, so the keeping and care of animals was considered an honor and a duty. Those who couldn’t afford or find a live animal used robotic substitutes. Decker had been lucky enough to own a real sheep but after it died, he replaced it with a robotic one. The two main religions were Mercerism, which involved using a device called the empathy box, and the television based Buster Friendly and his Friendly Friends. Moods could be altered by using a mood altering organ device. They had use of flying cars. (In later editions the date was changed to 2021) ("Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" Bk)
