This might sound stupid or weird, but could I ask for some headcanons with Steven with an S/O that’s angelic in some way? Like physically or just having that sort of aura around them. And he doesn’t think he deserves S/O because they’re so good and wonderful and he’s got blood on his hands, but S/O loves him anyway.

*You have this angelic quality to you, while not physically, but having that sort of aura to you

*you’re so good and so sweet and everything that Steven is not

*Steven always tells himself that he doesn’t deserve someone like you, because he’s got blood on his hands and that will never go away, while you.. are the opposite of him

*but despite this, he still loves you. He would never let anything bad happen to you

*you are aware of Steven’s past, but you would never use this against him. You love him, despite what he’s done

*and anytime he feels like he’s undeserving of you, you’re always there to cheer him up/reassure him that he’s wrong, that you’re not going anywhere and that you love him no matter what

*cuddle with him a bit to help him feel better, but don’t expect him to let go for a while

Could you please do a fic where Steven and Mike from strangled red meet a reader from another region (preferably one with fairy type pokemon) and the two are either terrified or confused about the reader's pokemon, leading to them asking the reader questions like: "why does your pokemon look like that?" "What even is a fairy type?" And all that jazz

The moment I saw this request, the first fairy pokemon that came to mind was Klefki! So that'll be the chosen one <3

"Dude, why is your keyring so-?"

"Kiiii!!"

"Huh?!!" Mike took a huge step back, eyes widening as the large keyring hanging beside your door suddenly came to life. It lifted itself off the hook and did a little twirl, smiling at the dumbfounded brunette in front of it.

"Uh-"

"Klefki! What did I say about pranking our guests, hm?"

Hearing your voice, Klefki perked up and flew away from Mike, floating over to where you and Steven stood in the living room. You had just finished showing him your collection of badges, but the sight of your partner Pokémon startled him.

"What did you say that was..?" The longhaired trainer blinked.

"Klefki. The Keyring Pokémon." You introduced, turning to see it raise one appendage and hand you a key. "Thank you very much. You know, you're less stingy than usual today. I'll get you some pokepuffs after-"

"Wait, that's a Pokémon??"

"....is it really that shocking to you guys? Your region has Pokémon who look like eggs and pokeballs." Chuckling, you turned back to the two brothers who seemed so fixated on the levitating keyring--before they suddenly began scrambling to open their pokedexes, hoping there wasn't a sudden update they needed to catch up on.

"No. You two aren't missing anything."

They paused, now staring up at you.

"Klefki is originally from Kalos. You won't find them in those regional Kanto pokedexes."

Both of them blinked in realization, as though lightbulbs have simultaneously turned on upstairs before they bashfully put away their dexes. "Right, I forgot.." Steven awkwardly mumbled. "That's cool, though."

"Here. I got my regional Kalos dex." You decided to show them both Klefki's entry, letting the former champion take it into his hands while Mike leaned in closer to take a look.

All the while, you stood there patiently, amused at how their eyebrows furrowed as they read its description. They were acting like Pokémon researchers who just made a phenomenal discovery.

Then finally, after a long silence, Steven looked up at you.

"There's a "fairy" type? Is that a new thing?"

"It was the most recently-discovered type, but that was..........wait, you've never heard of them?" You blinked, seeing that his older brother had an equally confused expression. "Don't tell me that you, Kanto's first recorded champions, have never seen or battled a fairy type Pokémon in your life."

"........"

"........"

"What about Clefairy?"

"....that's a normal type according to our pokedexes." Mike frowned. "Is it a regional thing or-?"

"No, I...I'm working on my national dex. And it clearly states it's a fairy type." You huffed, realizing that these two poor uncultured souls didn't have a clue what you were talking about.

With a small sigh, you decided to sit on the couch, patting either side of you. "Come here, boys. I'm about to teach you allllll about fairy types. Because there's a lot you two need to catch up on if you wanna be "pokemon masters".

They both nodded and sat down, listening to your explanations about what fairy type Pokémon were, what they typically looked like, their weaknesses/strengths, etc.. You even presented them with the fairy feather you let Klefki hang onto.

Steven's eyes periodically wandered to your partner, who was noisily jingling its keys and grinning at him.

"So Steven...do you have any questions?"

"H-Huh? Oh, uh...yeah.." Snapping his attention back to you, he fidgeted with his hat. "You're saying its type advantages and disadvantages are all.....based off of fairytale stories?"

"Precisely." You nodded. "Fairies are strong against dark because they're typically good, and like the fighting type they triumph over evil."

"But they're also weak to fire because....?"

"Fire typically burns down their forests, but it's not one of their weaknesses. Fire Pokémon just resist Fairy Pokémon." Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed Mike sheepishly raising his hand. "Yes, Mikey?"

"....you lost me on why steel types are supereffective against them.." He admitted with a nervous chuckle.

"In most myths, iron harms fairies because they're manmade material."

"....gotcha...wow.." Flopping back onto the couch, he sighed dramatically, trying to absorb all this information you've told them. "I mean, it's awesome that more Pokémon types are being discovered, but....dang...it's gotten more complicated, too."

"Yeah." Steven nodded, mimicking his posture. Although a moment later, he sat up and looked at you. "[Y/n]...you said fairies were supereffective against dragon types, right?"

"Correct." You nodded, wondering where he was going with this.

"...is Miki secretly a fire/dragon instead of fire/flying?" His eyes narrowed in suspicion and worry. "Because if I ever battle your Klefki, that might be a-"

"No, I can assure you that in every region Charizard is fire/flying....although some trainers have the mega stone called Charizardite X that could turn theirs into a fire and dragon type instead-"

"The Charizardwhat???" He gawked.

To that, all you could do was sigh and shake your head, becoming more amused by the second at how much the brothers didn't know. You felt like a Pokémon Professor at this rate.

-absolutely reads to you before bed, he has a big stack of books that him and Mike read as kids and he reads them to you, even hums a lullaby or two.

-100% bought you a charmander plushy.

-if you like cold pillows he will absolutely flip the pillow every time it gets warm to the point you don't like it, he wants his baby to be comfy.

-lets you play/do his hair, and if you don't wanna do your own, he'll do it for you (look at how much hair that man has and tell me he wouldn't be good at doing hair).

You were currently making your way over to Steven’s house, a few items in hand. A couple people had made a comment here and there to you that he’s been acting more strange than usual, which you knew something was up. Sure; you knew everyone was afraid of him, except for you as you were friends with him before this whole incident happened with his brother. Which is exactly why people will turn to you if Steven is causing problems, which you find odd since he usually just… keeps to himself.

You walked up to the door of the house and knocked, calling out to the man inside,

“Steven, it’s me, Y/n!” It was quiet for a few moments before the door opened to reveal the raven haired male you’ve come to know and love.

“…hello, Y/n.” You heard a faint noise in the background which sounded… like Miki, but she didn’t sound too good, like she was sick, which worried you since you knew how much Steven adored her.

“Could I… come in?” Steven was quiet for a moment, before he nodded and opened the door more to allow you into the house. He only did this because it was you, because he trusted you. Anyone else, he wouldn’t have even opened the door.

You followed Steven to the other room where Miki was, curled up on the floor. You made your way over to her, kneeling down beside her. You glanced over at Steven, as if asking for permission to get this close to her, as you didn’t want to upset him. He only nodded in response, before you did a basic check up on her. She was warmer than what is normal for fire types with the occasional chills. How this was even possible considering… well, you knew the situation. You looked over at Steven as Miki now rested her head on your lap, allowing you to pet her head, which you did so.

“Steven, she’s going to be fine, I promise.” You said to the raven haired male that was now pacing back and forth, a dark shadow covering part of his face, hands, and arms and red eyes glowing like crazy. You knew it was MissingNo, so you had to calm him down before he went crazy and did something he would regret.

“Steven. Steven, listen to me! Miki is going to be okay! She’s just sick, she’ll be fine in a couple of days.” You had stood up and went over to Steven, placed your hands on his shoulders, which made him stop his pacing and look at you.

“How do you know, Y/n?” His voice sounded a little distorted at the moment as he stared at you with his red eyes.

“…you do know who you’re talking to, yeah? The one who went to work with Nurse Joy for a few months while you were out on your journey?” Steven was silent for a few moments, staring at you… then looked back at Miki.

“…Alright, I trust you.” You noticed the dark shadow starting to fade away, making you sigh internally in relief. “I’m sorry, Y/n.” you heard him mumble before he pulled you into a hug. “Please… help Miki..”

“Of course, Steven.” You nodded, soon pulling away from the hug and went back over to the Charizard lying on the floor. You knelt beside her once more, taking a few things from your pack, and set them to the side.

Steven watched you as you took care of his Charizard, feeling something that he hadn’t in a long while: and that was his feelings for you. He’s had feelings for you for a while now, but he pushed them to the side as he never thought you would feel the same way about him, but what he didn’t know was that you had feelings for him, but you also felt the fear of rejection and had never told him, or thought to tell him.

Steven was brought back from his thoughts as you called his name. He looked back at you, seeing as Miki had fallen asleep now.

“She’ll be okay, she just needs to rest, alright?” Steven only nodded in response.

“I’ll be back in a little while to check up on her, okay?”

“Alright…” he seemed a little hesitant to let you leave at this moment.

“I’ll be back, Steven. You know I wouldn’t let anything happen to Miki. I know how much she means to you, that you care about her, and that’s one of the things I like about you.” You then walked outside, looking back at him.

“See you later.” Steven watched you as you left before closing the door behind him, thinking about what you just said. “That’s one of the things I like about you,” you said to him. He didn’t just hear that, right? Did you really like him the way he likes you?

“…don’t give me that look, Miki.” He looked over to see his Charizard giving him a look. She knew about his feelings for you.

“Yeah, I know, you want me to tell them how I feel.” He went over to Miki, sitting beside her. “We’ll see.” He mumbled to himself.

Over the next couple of days, you’ve been going over to Steven’s house to help him take care of Miki, but also spend time with Steven while you were there. If Steven wasn’t awake by the time you got there, you had woke him up and see how Miki was doing, and of course to see if she was doing any better, which she was getting a lot better with your help, which made you and Steven relieved.

You were sitting on the floor, with Miki’s head resting on your lap, looking much better now than the other day. Both her and Steven were grateful for your help, especially Steven. You had a faint smile on your face and you lightly rubbed her head, looking over as Steven walked into the room.

“Miki is much better now.”

“Thanks to your help, Y/n. I… really appreciate it.”

“Of course, it’s not a problem.” Steven went to say something else, but noticed the look that Miki was giving him. He knew that look. She was trying to tell him to finally tell you how he feels.

“Y/n.”

“Hmm? What is it, Steven?” You looked back at him.

“The other day when you were here… as you were leaving, you said something that stuck with me.”

“I did?”

“Yeah. As you were leaving, you said something about liking me. Is that true? Do you like me, Y/n?” You froze in response to his words, taking a moment to gather your thoughts before you sighed,

“Yes.. I do like you, Steven. Well, actually… I like you more than that. I know everyone tells me to stay away, but I just can’t. I love you, Steven.” Steven was a bit surprised by your confession, not expecting you to tell him that you loved him.

“Y/n.” He stepped closer to you. “I feel the same way.”

“You.. you do?”

“I do. I have for a while now. You knew what I did and you didn’t run away. In fact, you’re still here.”

“Well, we’ve been friends since before then, why would I leave you now?” You hugged him, causing him to flinch in response before he hugged you back.

“…thank you for not leaving me, Y/n.” He leaned down and kissed the top of your head.

“It’s no problem, Steven.” You smiled softly, but squeaked as you and Steven were pulled into a warm hug by Miki, who had a proud look on her face.

“I think she’s happy for us, Y/n.” Steven chuckled a bit in response.

“I think so too.” You looked back at the raven haired male before you. “Heh.. actually, it’s because of you we were able to get closer and even confess.” Miki nodded and took a step back.

“Come on, Steven, let’s go spend some time together before it gets too dark.” You grabbed his hand and dragged him outside, which he hesitantly followed you, with Miki behind you, happy to see her trainer has finally found someone that will love him regardless of his past.

+i feel like hes truly patient when it comes to his hair. he'll let you play with it whenever you're overwhelmed (and admittedly disassociate the whole time)

+hes got a lot of scars and its kinda the only bit of what came after Mike's death that he feels like he can be ok with, since they've faded and it means he's moving on. slowly but surely

+by extension, he thinks any scars you have are pretty, too (stretch marks, sh, burns, etc) and he'll touch em a bunch, especially if you feel insecure about them. he thinks they're neat because that means you're healing with him

+hes not a great singer, but he'll hum lullabies if you get too deep into a spiral or into insomnia

+HES GOT BIG HANDS. BIG HANDS FOR HOLDING. he tries his best to keep his claws dull

Again I’m still in that character ai phase lol and I’m still in my yandere mood phase so I’d thought I create another bot but this time basing it off the strangled red creepypasta (once again in my yandere sonic post I do not condone yandere behaviour I’m just doing this for fun).

i am so sorry you caught me in the middle of vc. some of these. also i accidentally closed the fucking tab and had to rewrite all of this. i hate being a writer on tumblr.

i just realized these are only general steven headcanons i am so fucking sorry i was tired and it was like 4-6 am. take them anyways i'll edit like a few actual x reader ones in

he doesn't get outwardly super scared, but he DOES shiver or make discontented noises when he's scared. playing horror games with him is kinda funny. if you make him play a vr horror game he will hate you forever and ever. it's rly funny tho.

he tries way too hard. with everything. pre-incident? being a role model, being cool, being a trainer, being a champion for like one month, being stereotypically romantic, etc. post-incident? being scary, being intimidating, etc.

despite this he is still very dorky and awkward. at least pre-incident. it was common. type of guy to lean on a wall but he falls

he wears light cologne. i'd say he wears axe 3-in-1 but that'd be way too rude to both me and other stevenlikers.

pre-incident he trips over his words sometimes, sometimes his tones too flat, sometimes he speaks too loudly or quietly, etc etc. Basically. 'tism.

he's good at clue, the board game.

pronounces gif like "g.i.f" ( like it's an acronym ). please, god, make fun of him for this.

his hands are always cold for no fucking reason post-incident. if you hold his hands in the summer it kind of helps the heat go away. love wins

really wanted a guitar. he's a dork so he does air guitar sometimes when no ones looking or does guitar motions while holding a long thing that isn't a guitar. He would play guitar hero and be absolutely mid at it but blue and red think he's the coolest fucking thing ever for it. This is inspired by somebody elses hc i think(????). if u read this. ur a real one and r so true.

because of this if you actually got him a guitar i think he'd make a small genuine smile. he has executive dysfunction and depression so itd probably take a while for him to actually do anything with it, but he rlly appreciates the gesture.

also kinda has a good singing voice but is better at backing vocals.

he organizes things a bit too much, which stopped during his spiral phase, but for example his pc boxes are like. a living dex, or just by pokedex number. he prob never completed his dex tho. mike though who did/almost did, has Entirely unorganized boxes. after the incident he obviously stopped caring bc depression so like. yeah. so his rooms a little unorganized and his house in general. he will silently appreciate it if you organize it for him.

never allowed miki to have eggs bc 1; gen 1 limitations. idk how that'd work in universe but that'd probably be why it didnt happen in the pokepastas. 2; as you can tell. he's kinda overprotective of miki. also charizards aren't like. very regular pokemon you find and he wouldn't want to breed her with a ditto. and would only want to allow her to if she actually found a for-life mate.

and for the x reader-ification of this in the edit bc i misread the ask, he'd also do it if ur dating him and u have a pokemon. for example, whatever starter you have and miki would b cute. straight couple.. yuri couple.. yaoi couple... love is love and miki doesnt care. its cute and they act all cuddly and snuggly with eachother probably. kinda reminds you of u an steven too

speaking of miki is larger than normal charizards and probably is built a little different literally and figuratively. stevens tall. miki is taller though. at the very least post incident Corpse Miki is. how unique she was did not help stevens rage ( getting a new one would not be nearly the same especially due to that + he would never. ) but it was a smaller factor in everything. also i do not think that thang can lay eggs post-incident. sorry if u wanted a fucked up missingno charmander.

even if the trade incident happened but miki came out alive he'd still go on a depression spiral. he probably wouldn't kill mike in the end, but he'd be much quieter, and would be even more paranoid. would probably willingly move away from mike or separate their rooms at the least. if u were dating him during this time you could probably at least still recover him from this state since its less serious but the tension would be palpable for a while.

mike is your number 1 wingman for steven swooning. he's kind of bad at being a wingman. or he's good at it. whichevers funnier in your opinion tbh. but he knows what steven likes ( at least he hopes he does ) so he gives you tips and tricks for wooing him. or he gives steven tips and tricks on wooing you because he knows both of you n hangs out with both enough to know.

this is a headcanon with basically no basis but theres a part of me that kind of likes steven and mike being born in johto or somethin'. which is why he goes to johto in doors open after the incident. he's running away from his past + kanto + it's his home region. At least for a while. so he sometimes likes to travel around with miki and you there, or to other places.

he double-checks a lot of things way too much. like if things are locked, if things are properly in place, and if wires are properly connected and not fucked up or tangled or broken ( iykyk ). if you check for him and reassure him everythings fine he'll calm down slightly, but his paranoia goes "okay but what if they didnt check enough."

if you told s!3v3n he was being a bad boy like a fucking dog when he does smth you dont like he probably would actually look like a dejected puppy for a moment and sit in a corner ( /j. maybe. )

s!3v3n's got big fuckin shadowy hands. and claws. good for backscratching or massages oddly enough, if asked for....????

steven will try to impress you by playing a videogame and doing something cool. he probably fails or almost fails at it. but its kind of endearing and cute anyways.

he's left-handed ( definitely not projecting ). for symmetry, mike is right-handed. also miki is ambidextrous. How can a Charizard be ambidextrous you ask? You know. For fun. Daisy is also ambidextrous though which is the more normal option.

i mean... steven is probably also ambidextrous with anything other than writing/drawing ( PROJECTING HARDER ).

Lost Silver also known as (y/n) was cuddling against a pillow in the house that she shares with her three boyfriends, she snuggles harder against the pillow magically hoping it would turn into one of her boyfriends. Because of this she almost missed the footsteps coming to the bedroom door. She sat up and looked at the door waiting and wondering who would walk in, “Steven!!!” She squealed almost running towards him. She rapped her arms around his waist and looked up at him, she couldn’t see his eyes as they where covered by his hat and a frown on his face. (Y/n) continued clinging onto him as he walked to the bed and sat down, she kissed his cheek before peppering his face with kisses. He then grabbed her chin, making her face him they kissed, a blush coated her face it she continued kissing him, each grabbing the others head to push them closer.

He wanted it to change the very course of nature itself.

To bring her back.

There's been a circulating rumor that Missingno could corrupt the very soul of its trainer, driving them to do horrific and unspeakable things under its influence while amplifying their deepest and darkest internal thoughts...

And Steven, whether he found it or vice versa, unfortunately proved that to be true. It must have been feasting on his grief over Miki, leading to him making such irrational decisions he can't undo.

You believed that had to be it.

He was being controlled by this monster.

There's no way he'd do any of this otherwise....right?

It took a while for him to come out and face you, so you ended up waiting downstairs--although not before covering Mike's body with the sheet so it wasn't the first thing he saw. You had Blastoise go into his pokeball, keeping it safely tucked away in your bag.

You kept waiting on the couch for a few minutes, before hearing footsteps and turning your attention to the stairwell.

For a moment, your heart jumped into your throat upon seeing what looked like the shadow of a Charizard cast on the wall....but it was quick to disappear.

"[Y/n]? Wh-Why..are you still here?"

You blinked, only seeing Steven on the stairs now, clutching the railing and looking completely terrified. Dry tears stained his cheeks, and his eyes and nose were all red and raw from crying.

Not to mention his hair looked even worse than it did this morning...but then again, it's been that way for a year.

You helped him take care of it during his depression spells, although under no circumstance did he ever want it cut. He sometimes got angry if you tried to push him to visit the salon, so you left it be.

It seems Missingno took a liking to his hair, as now it looked as though Zapdos struck him with lightning. It made him appear twice as big...which would have been frightening to anybody who didn't know him.

"I had no choice. I had to do it...for her. Mike ruined my life. He was a prick who deserved everything he had coming. I call it karma, wouldn't you?" He laughed.

"I know you don't mean that..that's not what the Steven I know would say." You shook your head, gently and cautiously taking his hands into yours. And he gazed at them, confused by your actions.

You weren't afraid to touch him?

Even though they were the same hands that killed someone?

"You and I both know that thing won't bring her back."

"Maybe not..but at least I tried to do something about it." He snarled, a certain bitterness to his tone. "You just kept telling me "things will get better" for a whole damn year. Well...did they, [y/n]?"

When you didn't answer, he kneeled down so you could get a better view of his face, hoping you'd finally see the monster he had become.

"Do I look "better" to you?"

"...no, and I'm sorry if I didn't do enough to help you." You tried your best to stay calm, lightly rubbing your thumb across his knuckles. "Maybe I could've stopped you from chasing down Missingno. I'm shocked it chose to go with you, but....it's not gonna scare me away, alright? You're not gonna scare me away."

"I'm horrified at what happened, but I still love you, Steven. And I can't see myself abandoning you when you're like this. I wanna keep helping you...if you'll let me, of course."

For a few long moments, he was silent as he observed your small affectionate gesture. You didn't know what he was thinking in this moment, since the bill of his hat was hiding his entire face.

Just as you stopped, however, you heard a small sniffle. His hands began trembling in your grasp.

"...please help me."

"Steven..." Pausing, you saw him look back up at you, his expression returning to normal. With panicked breaths, he crumbled into your lap, clutching your shirt desperately as his hat slipped off and fell to the ground.

You just held him closely, soothingly pet his hair in an effort to calm him down while his body wracked with light sobs...as though he were a Cubone crying out for its mother. He kept repeating "please" and how sorry he was.

This, alone, proves that he didn't mean to kill Mike at all. He wasn't himself.

At first, you weren't sure if the boy you knew and loved was still there...but he was, and he needed you by his side.
