Galar Gym Leader (Sword/Shield) VS Dark Matter Phase 2 (Super Mystery Dungeon)
Propaganda:
This is like, literally the best track from the entire generation. The hype build up, the crowd singing?? Absolutely amazing.
Propaganda:
Take off your nostalgia glasses and your additional 3ds titles are shit contacts and just take 2 minutes to listen to it, the break at the end and the loop is the best part

Polls on this website are so -_- because people can't put their biases aside. You could have a poll like Awesomest Rival Character in a Game and people would be like YES we HAVE to get Shadow the Hedgehog to #1! When Shadow isn't even the awesomest rival character in the sonic the hedgehog franchise
#knuckles & metal are both way cooler#i was also mad that pokemon mystery dungeon ost beat super mario galaxy ost like huh.??#as someone who loves pmd music its not... sigh

Bimonthly Media Roundup
-Alien (Movie) - Alien was re-released in theaters so my friends and I went to see it. Still a great movie, Ripley is a badass, the cat survives, the Xenomorph is an incredible design, the building of suspense and set design is great, it's a classic for a reason. My one critique from my ADHD brain is that it would be nice of a few of the longer drawn out set establishing scenes were condensed a bit, not because I'm against suspense but because they went on a bit to long that the suspense turned to boredom for me occasionally. That's a small critique though, the creativity of the alien designs and behavior definitely drowns it out in the long run.
-The Mummy (Movie) - Another re-release in the theater, this was a fun one to re-visit. I mean that in a very literal way, The Mummy is the kind of campy adventure mixed with comedy and slight horror elements that I wish they made more of anymore. Egypt as a setting is severely underused in my opinion and the setting was gorgeous. Speaking of gorgeous so was everybody in this film. I can see why it was such a bi-awakening movie. The romance was cute and well established for the kind of movie it is and there's always something interesting pushing the plot along. It is kinda strange how truly bad the guys trying to prevent people from waking the mummy are at their jobs but that's more of a funny flaw than a serious one so whatever.
- Fallout (TV) - Having fun so far, good characters, fun writing, and the use of flashbacks in storytelling is intriguing.
- In Stars and Time (Video Game) - Watched the full playthrough and I'm definitely interested in seeing more, this is a super charming game with a great concept and some absolutely killer dialogue and scenes (I love you time loop stories). Every character is lovable, Siffrin and Loops designs are fantastic, and the game is full of really interesting lore and mysteries that you can sort of piece together on your own once you understand the rules of this universe. In terms of media I like it does score the perfect five of having good comedy, likable characters, good art, genuine emotion, and fucked up but well explored concepts.
- Dungeon Meshi (Anime) - Fucked Up Monster Lady Hot.
- Six (Musical) - Went to see Six live with my sister and it was a lot of fun, more so than I expected to be honest. The dancing was neat, the outfits sparkly, the whole cast had amazing voices, and while the songs definitely lean into the corniness they are all catchy and fun which I appreciate.
- Pokemon Infinite Fusion (Video Game) - Beat the first Elite Four and absolutely love my team. Currently in Johto having fun building a second one. Highly recommend this game, it's a lot of fun with a lot of extra little quests and fun dialogue on top of the amazing fusion sprites.
- One Piece (Anime) - Finally got to Yamato and yes I do love him. Great design, and he's nice and stupid, great character traits.
- Genshin Impact (Video Game) - Yup.
Listening To: Nonsense Speaker by 000, Tounges & Teeth and Metaphor by The Crane Wives, Six the Musical OST, Ghost by Justin Bieber, Meant to Be Yours by Ryan McCartan, How Did You Love by Shinedown, Stray Italian Greyhound by Vienna Tang, Creep cover by Daniela Andrade, Let's Get This Over With by They Might Be Giants, Dial Drunk by Noah Kahan, and Humans by GEN.KLOUD.

some video games i grew up with and love:
Rage Racer (PS1) - simple racing game, best OST
Azure Dreams (PS1) - pokemon dungeon crawler with dating and town building side quests. collect monsters, climb to the top of the tower to find out what happened to your father.
Alundra (PS1) - adventure fantasy rpg puzzle game. you Will need the guide book. beautiful art. interesting story. you enter people's dreams to save them from certain death while also trying to fight evil in the real world.
Brave Fencer Musashi (PS1) - silly action adventure fantasy, save the world from evil with two swords as legendary hero Musashi
SaGa Frontier (PS1) - Turn based JRPG, a bit clunky but fun. You choose one of 7 origin heroes, play their personal stories, and meet many other companions to defeat evil together. Only SaGa series game I've played.
Secrets of Evermore (SNES) - your dog runs into a laboratory, now you have to travel across time to get home and face monsters. The dog changes breeds and has special powers each level.
DISNEY. Lion King, Timon & Pumbsa, Toy Story (SNES) Aladdin, The Little Mermaid (SegaGEN) All disgustingly hard for Capitalism(tm) reasons but still very fun.
Heroes Chronicles series (PC) - fantasy strategy game series. Chess with monsters? Interesting but super simple story. One of my favorite games to zone out with.
Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven (PC) - Fantasy party dungeon crawling RPG, one of my favorites.
Myst (PC) - Puzzle game of the ages.
Syberia I & II (PC) - A good puzzle narrative game, well acclaimed.
Return to Mysterious Island (PC) - Another first person puzzle game. If u cant tell I really loved these. Good game, good anrrative, very short and not as difficult as previous.
Darkfall: The Journal (PC) - scared me as a kid. First person puzzle game with ghosts. Think of a gentler Myst or Riven.
Micro Machines (SegaGen) - Silly racing games. Multiplayer
California Games (SegaGen) - More silly sports games
Ballz (SegaGen) - A super silly fighting game. Everyone is made of little balls. Think of. Round minecraft.
Detective Barbie (PC) - Solving various easy mysteries
Barbie: Race & Ride (PS1) - Barbie & horses <3
Barbie: Super Sports (PS1) - Barbie skating, snowboarding, etc <3
Digimon World 3 (PS1) - Turn based adventure fantasy, love the card minigame
Digimon Rumble Arena (PS1) - Simple fighting game
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (PS2) - Scifi/fantasy JRPG, interesting fighting system and lore. I otherwise have never played the other Star Ocean games.
Red Ninja (PS2) - Fun stealth game. Pro And Con: Main Character big titty ninja girl you can easily panty shot.
Yu-Gi-Oh: Duelist of the Roses (PS2) - I wish this version of YuGiOh existed IRL, I fucking love this system. I want to print out all the cards and a mat to play.
The Last Remnant (XBox 360) - A square JRPG. I'll be honest there are so many better games both play and lore, but the unique battle system stole my heart.
Additional games I love but I think are more well known:
Zoo Tycoon
Age of Empires / Age of Mythology
Kirby 64
Sonic, Sonic 2
Starcraft
Warcraft 3 (favorite warcraft game, 10/10 recommend)
Diablo 2
Jak & Daxter (Jak II, Jak III)
Spyro Trilogy
Kingdom Hearts (the first one mostly)
Mortal Kombat 3
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
Dragon Age series
I have every Final Fantasy up to XIII, but my favorites are V, VIII, IX, and X-2 in that order.
I also have every Silent Hill up to Downpour. My favorites are 1, 2, and 4.
Lore: I played Silent Hill when I was 6 or 7 years old and liked it even though I was bad at it. I played Tomb Raider when I was the same age and was too scared of the bear to ever get past the first 10 minutes.
#the top few are a bit more well known but i dont see them talked about as often#games#im lucky i have these bc quite a few are so expensive now#emulators are good tho

Tag game!!!
Tagged by @hifreqblade 😍 I haven’t done one of these in FOREVER so thank you!!!!!!!
Last song: Too Much To Ask by Niall Horan (OR if we’re being more accurate, “Friends Theme: A New Meeting” from the Pokemon XY OST - I just restarted my game!)
Currently watching: My roommate and I are watching Dungeons and Drag Queens from Dimension 20 every Wednesday (invest in Dropout.tv! It’s the best and I guarantee you’ve seen clips on social media). We’re also watching What We Do in The Shadows - I’ve seen it before but she hasn’t - Laszlo is the best.
Currently reading: A Restless Truth by Freya Marske. It’s the second book in a fantasy series that takes place in Victorian England. I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump, but I love this world so it’s helping me get through it. This one follows the sister of the main character from the first book on her quest to solve a murder mystery on a cruise ship from New York to London. It’s delightful AND gay. Highly recommend (warning: NSFW).
Current obsession: Ohhhhh maybe my 3DS? I just replayed Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, followed closely by Super Princess Peach, and now I’m replaying Pokemon X! I think it’s because my roommate’s been playing a lot of TOTK, but I don’t like open world games (they make me anxious) so I decided to play games at the same time as her, with her on the TV and me on the 3DS! I love watching play throughs/let’s plays, so it’s been really fun and relaxing. I’m also obsessed with the show I work on: Young Jedi Adventures! They just released some toys for the show and I very much dropped $200 at target yesterday as a result. WHOOPS!
tagging: @anntickwittee @deerbot36 @littlerainbowsheltie @malaxis @garazza
BUT ALSO: Go ahead and play along even if I didn’t tag you :) I’d love to hear from everybody!!

Hello! , is it okay if i request a millennial tree x ex-deity (who disquised as a citizen becouse got tired of the deity life-) reader?
oooh this should be interesting. sure thing anon!
——
pairing(s): millennial tree x reader (can be interpreted as platonic or romantic)
type: oneshot
warnings: kinda angsty :”
reader type: gender neutral (they/them), deity
currently listening: pokemon super mystery dungeon OST - tree of life: trunk (1:24 onwards is absolutely magical and makes me think of MT and this song feels fitting for this one shot in particular)
notes: kinda short? i used a lot of big words, a lot more eloquent than what i’m used to but i thought it would fit. it seems i cannot write Millennial Tree without there being some angst involved. i can unpack that later though
——
It was rare for Millennial Tree Cookie to ever appear outside the temple. Yet here he was, walking amidst common townsfolk like there was no problem, ignoring any stares he’d get.
He had sensed your power from the moment he laid eyes on you.
Yes, you had perfectly merged and blended with modern civilization, growing tired of your duties. Was it cowardly to abandon your true self and flee responsibility? Perhaps, but you were past caring, and had maybe even started to forget.
Though in the dark recesses of your mind it occasionally crept back in. A surge of power, a look from a stranger, a stab of remorse and guilt. You didn’t want to go back to your old ways, but the pull grew stronger everyday.
And now, *he* was here, standing before you, staring down at you with that ever gentle face. Yes, the god saw right through you, and you knew there was no hiding from him.
“Why?” Were the first words out of his mouth. “Why do you hide from yourself?”
“I have no reason not to,” You replied simply. “I do not wish to go back, nor do I have a need. This world no longer requires my power. I got…bored.” Excuse after excuse tumbled from your mouth.
Millennial Tree merely tilted his head. “You cannot run from it, dear one. You know this. You will have to return sooner or later and face yourself and your past.”
“But does that have to be now?” You questioned pointedly, forcefully, making the elder god take a small step back. “I want to remain the way I am now, among mortals who will never understand me but whom I find more comfort and solidarity in than I ever did with my old life.” your voice shook slightly at the last bit. What a lonely existence you lead.
He bowed his head. “It does not have to be now. But please,” he reached forward, grabbing your hand, gently caressing it with a thumb. “wait for me. And when the time is right, return to us. I will welcome you with open arms.”
You felt your eyes water slightly as a painful lump formed in your throat and all you could do was nod in silent promise.
