to be honest, i know most people wanted a remake of gen 5 or a lets go of gen 2 (for some inexplicable reason)

but like come on you can not lie there is something really funny about pokemon announcing (essencially) pokemon z after more or less 10 years after x and y got out

For sure! I didn’t grow up playing Gen 3 ((I was a Gen 4 kid)), but from my experience this is what I prefer:

Play Emerald first! If you’re into the lore, Emerald is the place to start. You fight both Team Magma and Team Aqua, and you get that awesome cutscene when all hell breaks loose in Hoenn. You also have the Game Corner still alive and kicking, not only that, but Brendan and May’s Emerald designs are THE ABSOLUTE BEST. I know you asked for Ruby or Sapphire, but BELIEVE ME playthrough Emerald first, to me it’s the definitive Gen 3 movie.

If you’re just looking for a Ruby/Sapphire experience, play ORAS instead. You’ll get only part of the story depending on which version you get and the post game is a little lacking, which is a downgrade from Emerald. However, they really outdid themselves with the remakes: homages to the originals, updated character designs, Team Magma and Team Aqua having actual personalities instead of sharing each other’s dialogue like the originals (mainly Maxie and Archie), and you also get more of the modern pokemon gimmicks like the exp share buff/pokeamie/mega evolutions/etc. I would only recommend playing the original Ruby/Sapphire for nostalgic purposes.

Now which version is better?? Honestly, that’s up to your heart. When the remakes first came out, I bought Omega Ruby because I liked Team Magma/Groudon more than Team Aqua/Kyogre. It all depends on preference :>

Welcome to my Blog about all the stuff I do in Pokémon Games.

- I am first and foremost a shiny hunter. That's what I do most of the time.

- I have started to complete pokedexes, but that is more of a backburner activity.

- I own at least one version of each major Pokemon release and play on OG hardware. No emulators. I own Blue and Yellow (dead batteries though); Silver and Crystal (also dead batteries); Saphire, Emerald and a bootleg Firered (I am also sure that I have leafgreen somewhere) as well as Colosseum, Platinum and Heartgold (including Pokewalker); White and White 2; X, Y, Omega Ruby and Alpha Saphire (the last is still with a friend); Sun, Moon and Ultramoon; All virtual console releases of Gen 1 and 2; Sword, Let's Go Pikachu; Legends: Arceus and Violet. I also have the hardware for Trades, Transfers and so on. And I have Friends who usually get the other versions so we can trade.

- I also play Pokemon Go on and off.

- I'm also a fan of multiple spin off games like Ranger and Snap. I do like the stories of Mystery Dungeon but hate the gameplay. (Mostly because I'm really, really bad at it)

- I have started playing Pocket TCG but I'm not sure If I'll stick with it. (I have dropped unite)

- I have a near complete HomeDex. I'm missing Volcanion and Zeraora.

- I occasionally play RomHacks.

- My favorite Pokémon is Polteageist and my favorite Gens are 2 & 6 (I am a Kalos apologist. Fight me.)

This more fun facts than anything else but yeah umbreon secrets poisonous sweat and is a predetor

Mimikyu - Its actual appearance is unknown. A scholar who saw what was under its rag was overwhelmed by terror and died from the shock - Pokemon Sun

Minikyu - A gust of wind revealed what hides under this Pokémon’s rag to a passing Trainer, who went home and died painfully that very night - Pokemon Ultra Moon

Mimikyu - There was a scientist who peeked under Mimikyu’s old rag in the name of research. The scientist died of a mysterious disease.

Mimikyu dex entries change once its disguse is broken

Mimikyu - It has taken damage and can no longer hold the head of its cloth disguise upright. For as long as it lives, Mimikyu will never forget its attacker - Pokemon Violet

Mimikyu - There will be no forgiveness for any who reveal that it was pretending to be Pikachu. It will bring the culprit down, even at the cost of its own life - Pokemon Sword

So Mimikyu can acidently or intentionly kill you

Chandelure - The spirits burned up in its ominous flame lose their way and wander this world forever - Pokemon Black 2 and White 2

Chandelure - Being consumed in Chandelure’s flame burns up the spirit, leaving the body behind - Pokemon X and Omega ruby

Chandelure - In homes illuminated by Chandelure instead of lights, funerals were a constant occurrence— or so it’s said - Pokemon Sheild

The last one doesn't seem relent however if we look at it's pre evolutions entries this pokemon becomes much more ominous

Litwick - Litwick shines a light that absorbs the life energy of people and Pokémon, which becomes the fuel that it burns - Pokemon Black

Litwick - While shining a light and pretending to be a guide, it leeches off the life force of any who follow it - Pokemon White

Litwick - Its flame is usually out, but it starts shining when it absorbs life force from people or Pokémon - Pokemon Black and White 2 X Omega Ruby While shining a light and pretending to be a guide, it leeches off the life force of any who follow it - Pokemon X and Omega Ruby

Litwick - Litwick shines a light that absorbs the life energy of people and Pokémon, which becomes the fuel that it burns. Sword The flame on its head keeps its body slightly warm - Pokemon Y and Alpha Sapphire

Lampent - This Pokémon appears just before someone passes away, so it’s feared as an emissary of death - Pokemon Sword

Lampent - It lurks in cities, pretending to be a lamp. Once it finds someone whose death is near, it will trail quietly after them - Pokemon Sheild

So yeah the whole chandelure line are spirit burning omens of death

All of the quotes are from pokedex enteries and I have inclued the games so the entries are easier to find

I wasn't all that much of a video game kid growing up. It was more so watching movies and videos, drawing, playing board games, completing puzzles and playing outside. Video games was more so my older brother's thing, I just had a good time watching him play :)

5) Ocarina of Time

The game that got me into the Zelda franchise. It may not be the best Zelda game, but it's the first one I played, so I gotta give it points for that.

4) Fire Emblem: Awakening / Shadows of Valentia

I couldn't choose. They are both really good and I like both. I like the story and artstyle of SoV more.

3) Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the forgotten Past

Dragon Quest games are always good and this one is no exception. The fact that you visist dozens of islands, in both the past and future, gives you a wide variety of stories so you are bound to connect to one of them. Not to mention that the party is likeable and funny (yes, even Maribel. Especially Maribel.)

2) Kid Icarus Uprising

God, I hope we get another Kid Icarus game.... Play Uprising everyone. It's so good. Pit is the best person of mass destruction you will ever meet.

1)Pokemon Alpha Saphire/ Omega Ruby

Limiting myself to one Pokemon game, it gotta be the Hoen remakes. I am sure this suprises absolutly no one.

IDC if anyone is gonna find this or not but ... who cares ... First time with pokemon? probably when I was 8. XY Evolutions was out at my local bookstore. Remember getting so many of those packs I think I lost some of them. Got a bunch of promo boxes. First one was a Kyogre EX. I remember I related everything to Pokémon. Out on the streets, I thought the birds were Pidgey, and when I was fishing one time, my line got caught on something. I thought it was a Kyogre, but I know that my line just got caught on the wall. But ... the games were what changed me. The first game I got was Omega Ruby and Alpha Saphire for my birthday. Sadly I only completed it years later because I didn't know what I was doing and probably forgot to back my save multiple times. But I played that game, and it ... changed me to love this silly franchise with monsters you can catch in just a red and white sphere. Pokémon let me be more open into trading cards, finding friends and bonds I dont think I would have ever done. I moved on from ORAS. I got sun and moon, and had some difficulties with my really bad team in my sun copy ... while my Moon copy? I swept through the Elite 4 with my Lunala, comically named Nebby, considering it felt ... right. I even got my first shiny from that copy! A shiny Riolu. Everything else is all there. Getting Ultra Moon for my birthday, getting Sword for Christmas, and Violet for another birthday. Pokémon has changed a lot of people's lives, especially @lastnightstoryart. Thats why he made this. And the fact that the game filled with the silly battles where you take on your rival, and meet him at the end of your journey, is just ... so life changing ... Pokémon changed a lot of people ...
