December Pokemon Challenge: Day 18

Favorite fairy type: Clefairy

Gotta go with the classic. I just think it has such a great design, it’s no surprise Clefairy was almost the mascot of the franchise! I always loved this rare little Mt. Moon alien. Never actually used one in the games, I just like the design. Though I did play the Pokémon Master Trainer board game a lot and wherever Squirtle would get snatched up immediately as a starter my go-to would be Clefairy as my starter! I thought it was so neat that it was set apart as the 6th starter choice (other than the main three Kanto starters, Pikachu, and Meowth which is sorta the Team Rocket starter I guess), it was a challenge, being a little weaker than the others and only evolving once, and it helped me reject the internalized fear of the color pink as a boy. I really should put a Clefairy on my team in an upcoming playthrough, because I know Clefable is a popular choice in competitive.
