The Tides Of Fate
"Ah, Motochika... It's interesting seeing you here. I would’ve loved to prepare a more cordial welcome for you, but I was a bit taken aback when you said you wanted to meet here instead of at the battle garden. No army for me to face?"
"Not today, old rival," Motochika flashed a cocky grin, the same one that Motonari had fallen in love with all those years ago, and the stark reminder of just how bad he had fallen had his own smile dropping completely.
Motonari shifted nervously in his roller chair as he looked to see Motochika, warlord of Fontaine, standing by the door of his home office. The man had suddenly sent a letter after years of invading his kingdom and failing to overthrow his rulership requesting a private meeting, so against his better judgement, he'd agreed and sent a letter back telling Motochika to meet him at his home. It just so happened that his humble abode had some rather odd architecture and choices in regard to how the rooms were set up, so his office was the first room that you entered when coming in through the front door- that of which he hadn't even left unlocked and had no idea how Motochika opened.
He ignored whatever questions he might've had about Motochika's apparent lock-picking skills (or maybe he hadn't locked the door like he'd thought?) and gestured to the chair in front of him, that of which was across his desk and facing his body, set there purposefully just for today so the two of them could sit face to face and talk about whatever it was that had compelled Motochika to come here in the first place. Unsurprisingly, Motochika, who was infamous for being disrespectful and cavalier when negotiating with other warlords, sat on the edge of Motonari's expensive mahogany desk instead of in the chair. Thankfully, his small, hunger pane frame did no damage to the sturdy corner, as the man weighed only a little more than a feather with his diet of cigars, rum, and conflict, alcohol calories be damned. Motonari couldn't help but love the instability, the chaos, the uncertainty that came with having fallen for Motochika. It was the one thing that remained consistent over the years- that and the younger man's constant failed invasions of his kingdom, but they were both growing older, teetering the end of middle-aged, and battle made them both so weary that it hardly happened anymore whether Motochika wanted to admit it or not- they were both tired of the fighting, tired of this.
"Cozy place you've got set up here," Motochika said and rested his palms flat on the desk to support his weight, crossing one leg over the other. His hazel eyes- so deep, so dark, with so many different shades of honey and brown and gold- raked over the room; the bookshelves that were filled to the brim with different studies and novels about Pokemon, the mahogany desk he was currently sitting his tight body on, the black wooden floors and the grass-hued rug that was draped over the middle of them, the tall yellow lamp in the corner that kept the room lit with a warm glow, and finally, the black leather chair with wheels and Motonari, who was sitting in it. He suddenly felt self-conscious under the shorter man's gaze, but honestly, when did he not? It felt like Motochika could always see right through him. "It's a not different than mine."
"That's what I was going for," He muttered with a certain amount of dryness to make it believable even if it wasn't true. He loved Motochika and everything about him, but he was growing tired of playing this game; Motochika trying to take over his kingdom, failing, and that was the only time they'd ever see each other before it happened again. It had been a two-decade-long cycle that he was weary of now, because if he was being honest, he'd loved Motochika from the first time he laid his eyes on him, the first time he'd brought his tiny Oshawott and a puny army of rag tag warriors to try to attack his kingdom. He hid what feelings he had behind feigned apathy. "Where's Samurott?"
"She's at the hot springs right now; the new ones they just opened southeast of the capital of Aurora," Motochika explained and let his gaze flicker up to the ceiling and then back down to the ground. It was nice to hear that the water type was relaxing- she was a hard-working Pokemon, constantly training and battling, having evolved incredibly fast compared to most others of the same species because of her and Motochika's dedication. Something that Motonari had always admired about Motochika was that he didn't let his ambition get in the way of caring for his Pokemon's well-being. He never overdid it with her and frequently took her to do more relaxing activities when they weren't too busy. Motonari just found it odd that Motochika would leave Samurott by herself instead of going with her. "She's not one for traveling these days unless it's for battle, so she's staying with (y/n) and Eevee until I can go pick her up."
"I suppose she is getting older... I'm glad she's getting some rest instead of worrying about keeping up with you," Motonari snarked and didn't get a response of equal pettiness- he never did, after all, and it always made him wonder if snapping at Motochika because of his repressed feelings (or, as an attempt to repress his feelings) was even worth it.
"And your Serperior?" Motochika quirked up a blue eyebrow- a beautifully bright blue, which was his natural hair color, but he'd dyed it so many times since they were younger that not too many people knew what his natural hair looked like. Motonari, however, made it a point to remember each and every one of Motochika's many phases. "Where is he today?"
Motonari gestured with his light brown eyes to the corner of the room where Serperior preferred to sleep in his bed, a giant mattress with lush yellow blankets and pillows there for him to burrow into. Though a lot of his form was hidden with the blankets, his head peeked out, and Motonari couldn't help but chuckle at the fact that Motochika hadn't even noticed him passed out right by them.
"I'm surprised you missed him," When he paused, Motochika looked at him with uncharacteristic confusion lacing his features. He understood exactly why without having to ask because not only did they have a way of communicating wordlessly, but also because his Serperior was a rather energetic and feisty Pokemon that rarely became tired. "We had a long day."
"Really?"
"Yes, lots of studying," He answered and earned a scoff in return.
"Typical."
There was an awkward silence, that of which made the tension in the air so thick that Motonari couldn't even swallow or breathe properly. Motochika, bold as ever, only stared at him with a familiar heated gaze that he had never been able to pinpoint what it was. Motonari broke the stare between the two and stared down at his lap to gather his courage before meeting that heated gaze again and speaking.
"Let's cut to the chase, Motochika," He started and rested his elbows on the desktop, then clasped his hands together by interlacing his fingers. Motochika blinked at him, as if he were surprised at the sudden change in tone and conversation. It made sense, though- Motonari had always been one for avoiding serious topics and discussions, never wanting the atmosphere to be anything but relaxing, but he also acknowledged that there were times when serious verbal confrontations like this would only be for the best, and it was obvious that they needed to talk things out. "You're not invading me for once, and you're clearly not here for small talk. So, why exactly are you here?"
"How do you know that I'm not here for small talk? Maybe I felt like having a little chat."
"You never just feel like having a little chat, as you put it. Why are you here?" He demanded with a bit of a rasp slipping out before he could stop it. At that, he leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms over his chest, embarrassed. Motochika had always managed to bring out his more aggressive side.
"Hm... It's unlike you to get so serious with me, Motonari."
"And it's unlike you to call me by my name," He retorted, having grown accustomed to some variant of 'rival' even though he'd never seen Motochika as such, never even attacking Fontaine despite the other man's various assaults on Greenleaf.
"Fine, fine, I'll get to the point," Motochika sighed and gave a dismissive wave to change the subject. "We're getting older. Times are changing."
"Yes, you're right, and that's how it should be," Motonari quirked a brow as he responded, confused.
Exactly what was Motochika wanting to talk about? Somehow, he was even more perplexed than he was before. Was the leader of Fontaine about to suggest a truce? A peace? Was this little meeting for negotiations? He had suspected that, sure, but he'd been hoping for something more... Perhaps something a little more romantic. He'd been in love with Motochika for years, and though he sometimes thought that Motochika returned those feelings, he wasn't sure.
"I think... To adapt with the recent peace established by (y/n), we should try to adapt as well."
"What are you suggesting we do to achieve that?" Motonari demanded, now growing frustrated. It was completely in character for Motochika to speak in riddles and vague language instead of being direct, which had always pissed him off to no end in a way that made him drop his cool and collected composure.
"I was thinking we could both sign a peace treaty, have some of our council members present to act as witnesses if that's what you require..."
"And your conditions?"
"Oh, not much..."
"We're too old for you to be beating around the bush like this," Motonari laughed and ran a hand through his feathery green locks to sweep them back. "Get on with it already."
"Oh, please," Out of nowhere, Motochika stood, which made Motonari flinch. He debated on calling for Serperior, but he knew that Motochika wasn't going to try to attack him, so he took a deep breath, only for it to catch in his chest when the other warlord loomed over him, then leaned into his ear to whisper. "I know you still have some youthful vigor in there somewhere."
The words were said seductively, something he had enough experience not to miss as the hot breath fanning against his ear and neck started to stir a pit of arousal inside of him. He tried his best to ignore the feeling and jerked back with a shiver.
"What... What are you implying?" He stammered, voice cracking just enough for it to be noticeable.
Almost as if it had never happened in the first place, Motochika withdrew and moved to sit down in the chair that he'd initially refused to sit in when it had been offered to him. Even in the chair, his mannerisms continued to be odd; he sat in it sideways with his legs tossed over one of the arms and laid his head on the other arm, bleach blond and dark blue locks falling back. It was interesting to see his forehead and the fullness of his cheeks without his hair being in the way- if Motonari was being honest, the younger man had a noticeable baby face despite being in his early forties.
"My apologies for getting carried away there, but I was thinking that rather than stay separate from each other's kingdoms, we could make an alliance of sorts; share rulership, both of us have command over Fontaine and Greenleaf. It would make us stronger against any potential assailants further down the line and we could travel to and from to see different Pokemon..." The man was clearly trying to appeal to his interest in studying Pokemon, something he hadn't done before, which had Motonari furrowing his brows. Why was he suddenly suggesting an alliance like this? What did he get out of it? Did he know that it was the only way he could get some semblance of control over Greenleaf because he wasn't able to take it for himself through battle? Or was it something else? Motonari continued to listen and watch with interest, his eyes trained on Motochika's hands, which were currently fiddling with one of the many silver chain necklaces that hung around his ghostly pale neck. "I know you'd just die to come see the variety of Pokemon in Fontaine. You know, I've even heard of an Eevee being spotted by the local farm, and I know you've been interested in obtaining one for a while-"
"You don't need to convince me any further, but how can I be confident that you won't betray me the second I let my guard down?" He quirked an eyebrow and crossed his arms as he did a single spin in his roller chair and gave Motochika a pointed look.
"You and I both know that backstabbing isn't my preferred method of getting what I want, but if you don't believe me, I have a way to solidify this hypothetical partnership between the two of us," Motochika leaned even further back on the desk and held his hand up to look at his fingernails, those of which were neatly clipped and painted a deep ebony. "We could... Become a union."
Motonari stopped, unsure of what Motochika meant before he looked at the other warlord and saw a cherry blush on his cheeks that contrasted beautifully with his light green face tattoo. His heart dropped to his stomach. It all clicked into place at once, and his back straightened as he sat all the way up and slammed his hands on his desk in shock.
"Are you seriously suggesting an arranged marriage!?" He spat, baffled. His hands were now gripping the edge of the desk, his brown eyes blown wide. "Was this your council's idea or something? This- This isn't like you!"
And it was true- Motochika didn't allow himself to be controlled by his council, taking in citizens' thoughts and feelings and acting on them instead of being ruled by his advisors, but... He knew Motochika well enough to know that the man wouldn't dare get married or even date someone if he didn't love them. Did that mean he loved Motonari, then? Had he just missed it the entire time?
"Oh, no, this was my idea entirely," Motochika smirked and leaned forward and across the desk as if his suggestion was casual, as if it didn't mean anything, but Motonari saw the intensity and passion swirling around in those familiar hazel eyes- he was dead serious, and this was something he was hellbent on achieving. "And I am one hundred percent certain that this is what I want, so don't look at me as if I've grown another head."
"Gah... You've always been amazing at scrambling my thoughts, Motochika..." He opened his mouth to speak, only to find that he was at a loss for words. He drew his lips together tight and frowned at how dumbfounded he was before deciding to focus on something else. In that moment, he couldn't help but notice how much Motochika had changed since (y/n) had reunited Ransei and handed all of the kingdoms back to their original warlords; he'd evolved his Dewott into Samurott, colored his bangs bleach blond and the back of his hair ocean blue, and changed his armor. It was clear that he was different, stronger, older, that he'd aged like fine wine. A faint line crossed the middle of the water user's forehead from a mixture of his age and years of battle stress- that and from how often his eyebrows shot up when he was upset or surprised. Finally, after staring for far too long, he looked down at his desk and decided to say something. "I see you dyed your hair again."
"You haven't seen me since then until today?" Motochika took a strand of his newly bleached hair to twirl with one of his fingers and gave a smile- not a smirk or a cocky grin, but a true, soft smile, the left side of his lips curling up just enough to show off one of his dimples. "It's been too long. How unfortunate that we only ever really saw each other when I tried to invade this kingdom... How long has it been now?"
"At least a few months, and I uh... I like the new look."
"So? What do you think? About my proposal, I mean."
And, in a moment of boldness, Motonari reached across the table to grab one of Motochika's hands. The shorter man's hazel eyes went wide as he flinched and tensed up. It was clear that he wasn't used to being touched in such a tender yet simple way, but after a few moments, he settled into it with a shaky sigh and flipped his hand over to interlace their digits. His skin was cold and clammy with a nervous sweat. The green-haired man realized that Motochika was a lot more nervous than he'd initially appeared and that perhaps their feelings for each other weren't too different after all.
"Isn't it obvious what I think?" He murmured and walked around the desk to where Motochika was sitting.
Then, he moved down and stopped. One of his hands was gripping the back of Motochika’s chair while the other remained where it was on top of trembling fingers. Light brown poured into bright hazel, and as the two men simply fell into the depths of each other’s gazes, Motonari wondered why they hadn’t already been doing this for years- wondered if he would actually be lucky enough to spend the rest of his life like this. A sheepish smile broke out across his face.
"I'll take that as a yes."
Everything that happened next felt like a blur.
He was being pulled down into a jean-clad lap, Motochika’s lips were on his, his brown eyes were fluttering shut, he was struggling for air, and the sensation of a metal ring being slipped onto his left ring finger made him shiver. Motochika kissed just like he lived, passionate and fervent and reckless, hard enough to physically make Motonari lean back and gasp for air, only for those lips to be back on his within seconds. Finally, he moved into it and laced his hands together behind Motochika’s neck as if to ground himself.
It felt like forever before the kiss ended, but it did, Motochika pulling back to wipe a bit of spit from his chin.
“Wow, um… We should probably move this into the bedroom before we wake Serperior…”
“Are you implying we consummate this arrangement?” Motochika wiggled his eyebrows suggestively and gave a small laugh, face flushed pink. “Because if so, I’d like that.”
“That’s exactly what I’m saying,” He laughed back. “So let’s go.”

Cherry Blossom Flashback
Doing some edits and revisions so I can post a pokemon fic tomorrow and in slipped a gay cherry blossoms scene.
-
“Oh trust me,” Yuzuki said. She gripped Oichi’s hands as the cherry blossoms fell around them.
The other warlords were gathered. Nobunaga smiled and Ryota had disappeared with Yukimura.
“What for - ” Oichi clamped her mouth closed to keep from squealing when Yuzuki lifted their clapped hands and pressed a kiss to Oichi’s fingers.
Only some people saw, some with nods and wide eyes, but Nobunaga laughed as Yuzuki grinned.
“We can’t stay secret forever, my love. I should have warned you.” Yuzuki’s smile softened. Oichi tightened her grip, leaned in, and pressed a kiss to Yuzuki’s cheek.
“I…would prefer to go slow, but I look forward to the day that…we…” Cherry blossoms mixed in their hair and Yuzuki nodded.
“I understand. Shall we entertain our guests?”

Have you heard the news, warriors?
Tumblr media
It’s time for another year of the Pokemon Conquest / Samurai Warriors Secret Santa!
Let's face it, this year has been rough for Ransei. So we've decided it's time to bring back some holiday cheer! We’ve had so much fun watching this exchange grow over the last three years, and we hope that year four can be the biggest one yet!
How does it work?
- Reblog this post anytime before December 1st to let us know that you want in. Once you’ve reblogged this post, send your wishlist through Tumblr’s messaging system to head mod @daphneblakess
- What should you put on your wishlist? 3 to 5 characters, ships, kingdoms, clans, etc. from the Pokemon Conquest and/or Samurai Warriors games. Please tell us which game continuities you would like your gifts to be from! This helps to make the exchange accessible to people from both fandoms, and to pair you with someone similar. NSFW requests are allowed, but only if both parties are comfortable with it and over 18.
- On December 1st, your Secret Santa will be messaged your url and wishlist. While it’s not mandatory, we encourage you to send them some friendly anons throughout the month!
- You will have until December 25th to create your gifts. We understand that not everybody feels confident gifting artwork, so your gift can also be fanfiction, a playlist, headcanons, or anything else you can think of! The only requirements are that it matches something on your recipient’s wishlist, and that it looks like you put effort into it. After all, you wouldn’t want to receive something that looked like it was made in five minutes.
- On December 25th, post your creation in the tag #pokemon conquest secret santa and tag the user who it’s for! If for some reason you won’t be able to post your gift until past this deadline, or if you have to drop out, you must notify us at least a week in advance. We understand that life can get busy around the holidays, but it’s not fair to your recipient when everyone else has gotten their gifts and you’ve left them hanging with no explanation.
- The final deadline to post gifts will be January 1st, and this will only be extended to people who message us before December 25th. Due to issues with this in prior years, we will unfortunately have to blacklist anyone who fails to post their gift by this deadline from participating in the future.
More than anything else, we want this exchange to continue being about having fun, helping people in fandom meet each other, and creating new content! We need you all to help make that happen. Happy holidays, and as always, we can’t wait to see what you come up with!

The Princess and the Pumpkaboo
This Pokemon/Fire Emblem fanfiction that came to mind was inspired by the Tweet about Shiny Gourgeist looking like Camilla (yes, the tweet is legit)!
When a lone Shiny Pumpkaboo (Gourgeist’s Pre-evolution) gets separated from her herd and encounters Camilla at Castle Krakenburg, Camilla’s motherly instincts persuade her to raise the Shiny Pokemon.
Pumpkaboo was lost.
Living near the dark forests and swamps in Nohr meant it was easy to lose the way, even if you were familiar with the area. Not too long ago, Pumpkaboo was traveling through the Woods of the Forlorn with the rest of the Pumpkaboo herd when she wandered away from them. Next thing she knew, she was all by herself and none of her fellow Pumpkaboo were nowhere to be found.
For Pumpkaboo, she was kind of scared. This Pokemon stood out from her other friends since her pumpkin body was a shade of lilac in contrast to the regular Pumpkaboo, whose pumpkin bodies were orange instead. Because she was a Shiny, she was an easier target for potential prey.
The Shiny Pokemon was confused at her surroundings. None of her friends were around and it was just her lonesome self.
“GROOOOOGGGHH.”
Pumpkaboo nearly jumped at the sudden noise. She scurried behind a tree and peered around it. Suddenly, she heard loud stomping and what sounded like heavy breathing. Below Pumpkaboo, a few hulking, muscular, green humanoid beasts with iron masks over their heads came bursting through the trees.
She nearly shook at the sight of the monsters. These brutes were feared among her herd since they frequently attacked them for food. In response, she kept quiet and stayed out of view from the Faceless high up in the trees.
Eventually, Pumpkaboo managed to find a way out of the Woods of the Forlorn. She was nearly spotted by a few Faceless but thankfully, they didn’t see her while she crept by the monsters. She was happy to be away from danger but loneliness got the best of her since none of the other Pumpkaboo from the herd were to be found and she needed to find some food.
Out of nowhere, a screech could be heard. Thinking it was more Faceless, Pumpkaboo cowered and hid in the tall grass. But she heard a flapping sound instead of labored breathing. She looked up to spot a murky colored dragon soar across the cloudy sky with a human riding on top of it. The Pokemon could see that the dragon and the human were flying towards a castle surrounded by a tall circular wall in the distance. Curiosity got the best of Pumpkaboo as she decided to follow the dragon. ——
In the stables of Krakenburg Castle, Camilla successfully landed Marzia and was just getting her wyvern back inside her pen.
“Who’s a good girl? You did well today, my sweet Marzia,” praised Camilla, giving the wyvern affectionate neck rubbings.
Marzia, the said wyvern, let out what sounded like a rumbled purr in response. For an undead wyvern, she was pleased for her master’s affection. The wyvern then picked up a feeder with her jaw and pushed it.
“Hungry? Wait right here, I’ll be right back,” said Camilla, leaving the stables.
As soon as Camilla was gone, up near an open window above Mariza’s pen, Pumpkaboo wandered inside the wyvern stables. All around her were different wyverns in their pens. Still hungry for food, the pumpkin Pokemon carefully looked in every stable for any food.
No luck, until Pumpkaboo saw one wyvern in the pen to the right of Marzia had some fresh food still inside the feeder. The wyvern inhabiting the pen was sound asleep so Pumpkaboo got overly excited about finally finding food she rushed over to the feeder and started eating the wyvern feed. She was so focused on eating the food she didn’t hear footsteps coming in.
“Oh, what do we have here?”
The lilac Pumpkaboo froze at the sound of the voice. She nervously turned around to see a female human with lilac hair holding a bucket of food staring at her. Afraid that the human would get angry for eating the wyvern’s food, the pumpkin’s anxiety got the best of her. She hid behind a pile of hay in the pen.
Camilla unlatched the gate. She entered the pen and knelt down to the pile of hay where Pumpkaboo had hid. The Pokemon’s beady yellow eyes peeped at her for a second before cowering in fear.
“It’s okay, sweetie. You don’t have to be afraid. Come here, I promise I’m not going to hurt you,” said Camilla. She realized the creature was probably hungry after witnessing her wolf down the wyvern’s feed. She reached into the bucket containing Marzia’s food pellets and extended her hand to the hay pile.
Pumpkaboo was still hungry so where else could she find something to eat? The human didn’t seem too interested in attacking her since she was offering her some food. Deeming that the human wasn’t a threat, Pumpkaboo approached Camilla and sniffed the pellets.
The Malig Knight couldn’t help but smile as she observed Pumpkaboo take a few bites before gradually accepting the food. She just couldn’t stop thinking about how unusually colored this wild Pokemon was. Pumpkaboo were common around the Nohrian Festival of Bonds and as far as Camilla knew, most of them were not purple.
“You know, I’ve never seen a purple Pumpkaboo like you before. What are you doing all the way out here? Shouldn’t you be with your friends?” she asked out of curiosity.
Pumpkaboo stopped eating when she heard Camilla mention “friends.” No one from the herd had come back to look for her and who knows where they might’ve gone? She had no idea where they went after getting lost in the Woods of the Forlorn. She let out a sad sigh in Pokespeak.
Camilla couldn’t help but feel a bit sorry for the wild Pokemon. She gently scooped up Pumpkaboo and cradled her. “There there, I didn’t mean to make you sad. If you want, you can stay with me. I’m sure my family would love to have you around,” she soothed.
Pumpkaboo began to think over Camilla’s offer. It was either go back to the wild and search for her friends or stay with the human who was kind enough to let her find a place called home. Who knows what kind of dangers would happen in the Nohrian wilderness, since her shiny coat made her an easy target.
It was tempting to keep searching for her friends but something didn’t seem right. She could sense some sadness from Camilla’s voice. This human was kind enough to let her have something to eat and treated her nicely and yet she was considering leaving. Maybe staying with a human didn’t seem so bad.
“Pumpkaboo darling? Have you made your decision? It’s fine if you want to go find your friends…..” said Camilla, with a hint of sadness in her voice.
Camilla suddenly felt something bumpy and soft rubbing against her chest armor. Curious, she looked down to see Pumpkaboo happily leaving her scent all over her. The Malig Knight couldn’t help but smile. “Does this mean you want to stay with me?” she asked as she gently ran her fingers through the fur.
“Boo! Pumpka!”
“Thank you Pumpkaboo…. We’re a real family now and you will always be loved..”

2017
So, because it's almost 3 PM where I live, and I have nothing to do, I'll look back on 2017.
First of all, music. January 2017 was when I quit pop music. I started listening to twenty one pilots, and from there I fell; hard. Panic! at the Disco came soon after and Fall Out Boy & My Chemical Romance joined my list of fandom's. Then came All Time Low and Pierce The Veil & Sleeping With Sirens. Of course, last but not least, Black Veil Brides.
Secondly, gaming. Zelda was fucking amazing. I finished it as soon as I could, and I'm still busy with Master Mode, the trials and of course Champion's Ballad. It won GotY for a reason y'all. Also I finally realized Undertale isn't just overrated but definitely good. I also played through Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows Of Valentia & Conquest & Revelation of FE Fates, which was fun, and of course Pokemon Ultra Moon which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Third, YouTube. I joined the Phandom this year and I don't regret it. These dudes lit up my dull life and gave me more reason to stay alive, something I definitely needed.
Fourth, negatives. 2017 wasn't just positive to me. Of course, the obvious, Chester Bennington's death was a kick to my heart. I have been sinking into depression and anxiety, having some suicidal thoughts at times and my grades have been dropping severely. I'm tired.
Fifth, writing. I started writing on Wattpad, have gained over 200 views on my Kellic fanfic which I'm very proud of and of course I'm very, very busy on a bigger project with a bunch of fanfiction side projects.
Overall, I'd say 2017 has been positive... It had its downs, of course, but it was good.

I got tagged by @velkynkarma, forgot about this and now I’m finally getting to this. After this I’ll tag whomever wants to do this 1. Favorite game from the last 5 years? Is it too predictable to say Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword? Another game I’ve logged hours into is Don’t Starve Together, because resource management with friends in a Tim Burton esque world that’s trying to kill you is strangely fun and relaxing.  2. Most nostalgic game? A Link to the Past, the Zelda obsession had to start somewhere, and it started when I was too young to learn trigonometry. Another game I really REALLY want to play again but can’t because games and systems aren’t backwards compatible is called “Tale of the Sun”. No good reason, it was just a nice open world exploration sandbox.  3. Game that deserves a sequel? Let’s be real, if there’s enough fandom love and the series makes a lot of money, it’s eventually just a waiting game until we’re surprised with the announcement.  4. Game that deserves a remaster? I’m not really a video game connoisseur, so it’s not like I can name something ground breaking since the pool of games I play is so limited. A game I would love to see updated though? Digimon World DS, or even Dawn and Dusk.   5. Favorite game series? Legend of Zelda if the blog theme wasn’t enough to clue you in on it.  6. Favorite genre? MMORPG (with friends), open world explorations, puzzles, JRPG, RPGs, dating sims, visual novels too 7. Least favorite genre? Ahhhhh the horror! I can’t do the survival horror without flinging the controller or trying to flee the room. I’m not to great with the first person shooters or realistic racing games either.  8. Favorite song from a game? Midna’s Desperate Hour. Loved the piano melody to it. Also Everything’s Alright by Laura Shigihara 9. Favorite character from a game? Link, he’s come to town, come to SAAAAAVE the princess Zelda! 10. Favorite ship from a game? MCxanimu boy protag. SS! Link and Zelda, just not ALL Links and Zeldas are my ship. 11. Favorite voice actor from a game? Laura Bailey  12. Favorite cutscene? The scene in Skyward Sword where Zelda asks Link to come wake her up again at the end. It made me cry the first time I played it. Also second time when I wasn’t prepared for it.  13. Favorite boss? Twilit Dragon Argorok, mainly because the beyblading item you get from that dungeon was so unique to the Zelda Series as a whole, and the whole build up of the boss was so great. 14. First console? A Tamagochi, wait console? Super Nintendo 15. Current console or consoles? 3DS, Switch, PC 16. Console you want? PS- whichever plays the Cyber Sleuth games, I’d also like to play Ni No Kuni 17. Place from a game that you’d like to visit? Skyloftt, where you get a pretty bird to fly on, and the place is floating in the sky.  18. Place from a game that you’d like to live in? Pick a pokemon region, a nice sunny one please. I’m so tired of this traditional Canadian winter 19. Ridiculous crossover that would never happen but would be super fun? Pokemon and Fire Emblem kinda like Pokemon Conquest 20. Book that would make a good game? I haven’t read a book in a while, just mainly fanfiction- shippy ones so.... 21. Show/Movie that would make a good game? Star Vs. The Forces of Evil? I dunno man, a lot of tie in games aren’t exactly winning game of the year awards. It’s not the game developer's fault, they’re just so tightly bound by the already existing source material that it’s hard to build up that suspense we need. It’s hard to translate a tightly structured narrative into a medium that is inherently interactive since it asks the creators to predict what people would do with it.  22. Games you want to play? The Kingdom Hearts series, Ni No Kuni 1 and two, Layton VS Phoenix Wright 23. Have you gotten 100% completion in a game? Do dating sims count? 24. Have you cried over a game? Yeah, not ashamed of it.  25. What power-up or ability would you want IRL? The power to save scum

Helloooo. I was just wondering if you ever review stories that use OCs, and what your thoughts are on them.
Hi there!
Believe or not, I actually used to review stories with OCs. Regardless of whether the story contains OCs or not, if I find the story and the characters compelling I will read and review it. I don’t actively seek for fanfics that specifically have OCs characters. It depends on the fandom.  For other fandoms that is open to multiple interpretations such as Legend of Zelda, I am more likely to read a fanfic that contains OCs than other fandoms such as Yugioh. For Yugioh specifically, I prefer exploring relationships among the cast whether it’s platonic, romantic, or sexual. I’m more interested in character development in Yugioh characters rather than an OC character who wanted to learn duel monsters at a school. But that’s my personal taste.
My thoughts on OCs characters is that people who create them have potential to bring something original and new to the series. It can lead to an inspiration to create a new series. I admire their creativity, considering that I lack creativity on that field. However, I have creativity in other fields to make up for it. I don’t mind reading OCs if they don’t overshadow the fandom’s characters. If OCs are the prominent part of the story, I have to be interested in their personality and quirks. Ultimately, it’s a personal choice on whether or not I want to read a story with OCs.
When it comes to canon X OC pairings, I don’t actively seek for these types of pairings. I have neutral opinion on them.  I have to be honest, I don’t ship a lot of canon X OC pairings. If the shipping is compelling, then I consider it. I don’t mind seeing them so long as the creator don’t become overzealous and threaten others for not shipping their canon X OC pairing. Actually, there are cases where I find a shipping within the fandom more annoying than canon x OC pairing due to the overzealous fans and cause me to lose interest in certain shippings. But I digress.
Here are a couple of the fanfics I read and/or review. Some of the fanfics were written in 2009 or earlier (which during the time I was in high school student and had plenty of free time). Thank you for the ask! The ask was interesting and I have a fun time answering them as well rediscovering some of the old fanfics I read as a teen. :)

Masterlists + Commissions/Requests
Hey, everyone! I'm Eri, the owner of this blog. Some info about me; I'm 21 years old, my hobbies are writing fanfiction/baking/cooking/loving on my pets/drawing/painting, and I'm pretty friendly! So feel free to message me any time. I write fanfiction for a bunch of things. My AO3/Wattpad/Discord are all @erimeows. I have all of my multichapter content on AO3 and am in the process of getting it uploaded on Wattpad. On here, however, I only post my oneshots/headcanons as it's just far more convenient, though I will be including links to the multichapter works and series on the masterlists I have posted.
If you’d like to read my writing/see what all I have published, I am currently reworking my Tumblr Masterlists. Since I've recently changed my Tumblr username, it makes the old links to my works invalid, hence why I'm going to have to redo them. This will probably take a couple weeks considering that I have over 200 works published. Sorry for the inconvenience! In the meantime, you are more than welcome to look at my AO3, as all of my work is uploaded on there.
My requests are also open! Additionally, you can commission me if you’d like, but I know not everyone is in the position to do that. If you’d like to support me with a commission, DM me. <3 Details about requests:
I currently am taking requests for oneshots/scenarios and headcanons from the following fandoms:
Adventure Time
Animal Crossing
Attack On Titan
Akame Ga Kill
Avatar The Last Airbender
Batman (2022 Movie, Comics, or Arkham Games)
Ben 10 (all four cartoon series!)
Boku No Hero Academia
Death Note
Diabolik Lovers
Dragon Ball Z
House M.D.
Mystic Messenger
Naruto/Naruto Shippuden
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
Pokemon Conquest
Resident Evil 2
Saw (Movies 1-4)
Stepping On Roses (Manga)
Super Mario Brothers
The Arcana
Your Dry Delight
Yuri On Ice
Zelda (Breath Of The Wild/Tears Of The Kingdom)
Note; if there’s a fandom you want me to write for that you don’t see on my list, ask about it! I may have just forgotten to add it lol... I’m into a lot of things ^^’
Some other big no-no’s for requests; I don’t write OCs, write crossovers, write matchups, or write RPF. However, if you commission me, I am willing to do OCs and matchups for commissions. For NSFW content, I am willing to write it on request, but I don’t write tickling, water sports, noncon, anything with minors partaking in sexual acts, scat, or anything with medical tools.
Another note; I bounce between interests and many of you know this. I also tend to get some requests that I just don’t feel like writing but with the volume of requests that I get I don’t want to have to respond to every one of those, as it honestly feels rude and a little repetitive. I also have a daughter who I'm spending a lot of my time caring for and a Discord server that I'm moderating, so I may be a little slow on getting the requests that I do want to write out, but please don’t send them in multiple times. If I'm taking too long or if you think I'm not going to do the request, just send it to someone else. Thank you!
Lastly: I know I can’t age check everyone, but if you’re a minor, please don’t interact with my works that are marked NSFW. As a parent and as a mature adult, it feels creepy to think that kids are out there reading my NSFW content. Thanks!
I also mod a Transformers and a Mystic Messenger discord server. Both are 18+ only. If you’re at all interested one or both, let me know and I can send an invite link!
That’s about it for now :) thanks for reading!

Flame of Hope, Chapter 4
Universe: Pokemon Conquest
Chapter Length: 3,600
Chapter Rating: PG
Chapter POVs: Okuni, Ina
Okuni left Ina and Hoshiko in the passenger bay and made her way to the upper levels of the blimp, where the private cabins were located. These rooms were sectioned off for warlords and their retainers to use on longer journeys, and while the flight to Spectra was too short to demand their usage for their intended purpose, Okuni knew she wouldn't be overheard within one.
Opening the door to the first cabin, Okuni stepped into what was by all purposes a small bedroom. Scolipede and Larvesta remained outside, partially to alert Okuni if Ina or Hoshiko came looking for her, and partially because Scolipede's added bulk would make the room an uncomfortably tight fit.
Reaching into the bag slung over her shoulder, Okuni felt a surge of gratefulness that it had survived all the running through Valora. "Please don't let anything have been crushed," she muttered as she retrieved the materials she needed for this - incense sticks, paper, a portable burner, and ink.
She lit the incense first, waiting until the smoke was drifting upwards in lazy coils before flattening the paper of the floor and writing down a name. Okuni folded the paper four times, then dropped it into the flame. As it was consumed, the spark of irritation Okuni had felt ever since the warehouse burned brighter.
Fortunately, she didn't have to wait long. As the last of the paper crumbled into ash, Okuni once again felt the familiar stilling of her surroundings. The smoke hanging in midair from the incense thickened into a human shape, and then Okuni was face-to-face with Setsuna. The purple-haired woman opened her mouth to greet Okuni, but Okuni wasn't in the mood for formalities.
"Why didn't you tell me what happened in Violight was an organized demon attack?" she began, catching Setsuna off guard. "And don't try to deny it, because I was just chased through Valora by half a dozen of them! How did this even happen? And why did you put me to work collecting souls last night like nothing was wrong? I could have helped you locate whatever portal they're using, you know! Just because I'm still paying off my debt doesn't mean I deserve to be locked out of important information!"
The surprise that registered on Setsuna's face when Okuni was finished gave Okuni a selfish surge of satisfaction. "Good. That will let her know I expect answers."
While Okuni wouldn't have said she was on friendly terms with any of Ransei's former shinigami, she had always felt the closest kinship with Setsuna. In return, Setsuna had made the largest effort to help Okuni when she had taken up the reaper mantle. Maybe it had been out of pity, but since then, they had formed a tentative bond. So Okuni figured that raising her voice against any of her predecessors, much less the only one who routinely acknowledged her existence, must have been a shock for Setsuna.
The older shinigami raised her hands in a peace offering. "This explanation may take a while. If I promise to tell you all I know, will you hear me out?" She crossed the floor of the compartment, sitting on the bed and making an emphasis of leaving a space beside her.
Okuni recognized the gesture for what it was. She sat beside Setsuna, who thankfully didn't try to stall or divert the subject.
"I'll answer your questions in order. First and foremost, the decision to conceal the true nature of the attack was one I argued against, as well as Tsukiyama." That information surprised Okuni. Out of all Ransei's former shinigami, she hadn't expected to find an ally in the former princess of Illusio.
'What possible benefit could there be to keeping me in the dark, though?" Okuni asked. "Do the others consider me a burden?"
Setsuna seemed to weigh her next answer carefully. "Part of it is a matter of pride, especially on Yoko's part," she admitted. "Tsukiyama and I are the only ones who don't believe the existing order will be enough counter this threat. In Yoko's mind, turning to not only our current reaper, but also the one with the highest soul debt out of any of us would be a concession of weakness. It wouldn't do to seem as though we were unprepared."
As the implication of what Setsuna was saying hit Okuni, her jaw dropped. "You mean, you all knew this was going to happen? For how long?"
"Bringing us to the next topic," Setsuna sighed. "You remember your... time in the spirit realm. You witnessed firsthand how the shinigami have labored for thousands of years to ensure that demons remain sealed behind the Burning Gates."
"And if any poor human souls who get dragged along with them get stuck in there too, that's just too bad, isn't it?" Okuni bit the remark back. Her situation back then hadn't been Setsuna's fault.
"I know about the way the Gates were designed," she said instead. "The outer wall is a circle, and past the entrance, it's divided into rings. The smaller demons that couldn't do much damage on their own are kept within the rim, and the further in you go, the more dangerous they become." Not even Yoko risked journeying all the way into the center on her own, Okuni knew for a fact.
Setsuna nodded. "For about a year now, we've been sensing disturbances from the heart of the Gates, stirrings of power from demons that were supposed to have remained magically subdued for the rest of time. But we did nothing until yesterday." She winced at the thought before continuing.
"We finally felt a flare too strong for us to ignore. We were prepared for the worst - and we were greeted by it. A monstrosity as old as Ransei itself had built up enough strength to break its bonds. By the time we arrived, it had already freed several more of its kind. Of course, we fought them. We had even managed to force a handful back into their seals when someone in your world created a gateway. Whether or not they did so intentionally, that was all it took. Yoko was about to strike the final blow to their leader when it escaped through that gateway. It must have traveled to Violight afterwards." Setsuna drew in a pained breath, and Okuni noticed for the first time the edges of what looked like a burn on the purple-haired woman's neck.
"After that, it was like the remaining demons grew stronger. We... we hadn't fought true demons in so long, we had forgotten how resilient they could be. We were losing, Okuni! We had to fall back." Shaking her head, Setsuna finished, "As well as that, Hatsuko had sustained heavy wounds. Yoko and Aina stayed back to reinforce the outer gate, and the rest of us retreated to the safety of the castle. As for the demon that escaped... it clearly recovered its strength faster than we had thought possible. To tear open its own portal over Violight - well, you saw for yourself the result of that."
The astonishment Okuni felt when Setsuna was finished quickly became anger. "And Yoko still didn't want me to fight? Maybe I couldn't have tipped the scales, but I could have at least helped! What if I had been attacked last night? Am I that expendable?"
"All points that Tsukiyama and I argued," Setsuna interjected. "Okuni, I'm on your side. You have every right to be upset. I'm telling you this because I don't care what Yoko will do once she finds out I have. If there's been an attack in Valora as well, we can't afford to keep you in the dark."
Okuni bit her lip, shifting uncomfortably. Although she felt trepidation as to what the answer to her next question could be, she nonetheless asked, "So what's stopping Violight from happening again? If this demon is that powerful, why not just repeat that attack on Valora? How do we know some other kingdom won't be next?"
"That's actually just about the only silver lining," Setsuna sighed. "The boundaries between the human and spirit realms are reinforced with magic that makes it extremely difficult to force through them without a two-way connection. This demon was only able to escape with the help of someone on your side, and once it was in Violight, it would have taken an incredible amount of power to force its own gateway open. It's going to have been greatly drained from it."
"Alright," Okuni began. "But do we know how quickly it recovers? What's preventing it from just opening portals all over Ransei before we can seal it away for good?"
"You didn't let me finish," Setsuna said with a small smile."It's true that the Violight attack allowed a fair amount of demons into Ransei. But nothing short of the power of a god could tear multiple gateways open at once. It may have been some centuries since I called your Ransei home, but I don't recall anything capable of granting that kind of power simply up for the taking."
"Well, the Legendary Pokemon did share its power with Lady Rei atop Infinite Tower," Okuni recalled. "But Lady Rei emphasized how it told her that it could only happen once, and that after that battle she would no longer be able to access it." Remembering a detail from her earlier conversation with Hoshiko, Okuni remarked, "In fact, stories of the Legendary Pokemon bestowing its power onto warriors it deems worthy can be found all throughout Ransei's history. But even if it were to descend twice in one lifetime, I doubt it would be to give that power to a destruction-hungry demon."
"Isn't that reassuring?" Setsuna bitterly laughed. Meeting Okuni's eyes, her face fell. "Okuni, what's your plan from here? I can do my best to keep you informed from the spirit world, but ultimately, my time in your Ransei ended when you took up my duties. The laws of the spirit world dictate that unless it is directly attacked once more, the former shinigami will not be able to engage this demon again. It's one thing for me to communicate with you, but in the human realm, it's difficult for me to interact with anything that does not have strong ties to the spirit realm. Unless this demon sets its sights on the shinigami, it will fall to the seventeen kingdoms to defeat it. Do you believe that could be done?"
"Yes, I do," Okuni affirmed. "Especially once word of what happened in Violight and Valora gets out."
Rising, she finished, "And as for what I plan to do, first, I'm going back to Spectra."
By the time Okuni returned, Ina had been unsuccessfully attempting to strike up a tentative conversation with Hoshiko. Try as Ina might, the Wailord in the room regarding what Hoshiko could have possibly done to warrant Ina's home being attacked over her wasn't an easy one to overcome. And since Hoshiko didn't have any Pokemon with her for Ina to talk about, all that was really left to her was...
"Lovely weather out there, isn't it?" Ina mentally groaned as a thunderclap outside immediately followed, and even Prinplup gave her a disbelieving look. "The weather, Ina? You can do better than that!"
Hoshiko, on the other hand, didn't seem to be bothered. "Well, it seems in spite of the storm, the blimp is still going to be landing on schedule."
Fortunately for Ina, Okuni and her Pokemon rejoined them right as Ina was beginning to think she couldn't possibly do this.
"Is everything alright, Okuni?" Hoshiko asked. "You took your time."
Okuni nodded. "Yes, there were just a few things I needed to discuss with the pilot." Ina couldn't help but notice the slight edge to Okuni's voice, but maybe that was just the last of the adrenaline from Valora.
The shrine maiden let out a breath. "Alright, we'll be touching down in Spectra soon. Once we're inside the castle, I'll inform Lady No about what's happened, and you two can settle in and contact whomever you like."
"That will certainly be an interesting letter to write," Ina thought. "Dear Father and Lord Ieyasu, don't worry, I'm not dead. Instead, I'm in Spectra with its junior warlord because it's the only place we'll be safe from the demon assassins that are after our heads now. No idea when I'll be back. Love, Ina."
The continuing sound of Okuni's voice brought Ina's attention back to her. "Let's see... you probably shouldn't leave your rooms once it gets dark, since the ghosts do like to play pranks on people who have never stayed in the castle before. Oh, and despite what you may have heard, I can confirm that Lady No does not bathe in the blood of her victims to keep herself eternally young and beautiful." Given Okuni's overly casual delivery, she had clearly given this speech before.
The roar of the engine began to grow louder, and Ina's stomach lurched as they began to descend. "Are we landing already?"
Okuni nodded. "By blimp, the trip from Valora to Spectra isn't even two hours. The pilot was able to take it faster too since we're the only passengers." Flashing a smirk at Ina, she added on, "Even in spite of this not-so-lovely weather."
In spite of herself, Ina laughed. "You heard?"
"Oh yes," Okuni giggled. "Don't worry, I won't hold it against you."
They set about collecting their belongings, and as Ina retrieved her coinpurse from atop a stack of crates, she suddenly felt a rush of sadness. She had left Valora's castle just hours earlier with her mother's bow under her arm, and for all she knew it had since been burned or blown up. Quagsire must have felt her grief down their link, because it came over and gave her a reassuring nudge with its head.
"Thank you," Ina murmured to the Ground Pokemon. "I just don't want it to have met its end like that."
If either Okuni or Hoshiko overheard, they were kind enough to not say anything. The next few minutes passed in relative silence until they felt the thud of the blimp touching down. The exit ramp unfolded, and together the unlikely companions stepped out onto Spectra's airfield.
Ina hadn't traveled to many other kingdoms - only Nixtorm, and Dragnor once when Lord Ieyasu had sworn fealty to Lord Nobunaga. To her disappointment, her first impression of Spectra was... rather underwhelming. Although, the sheets of rain currently pouring down around them probably had something to do with that.
"Wonderful," Okuni muttered. "We'll have to make a run for it."
"I'm sorry?" Ina gaped. "I can't even make out the end of the airfield! We're more likely to drown out in that deluge than find our way to the castle!" On the other side of Okuni, similar grievances were mirrored upon Hoshiko's face.
"Well, the rain clearly won't be letting up anytime soon," Okuni remarked. "Unless you'd rather wait here all night." With that, she pulled up the hood of her cloak and gestured for Ina and Hoshiko to do the same.
"I can't believe this," Ina thought incredulously, but she followed Okuni's lead. Bracing herself, she joined hands with Okuni and allowed herself to be led into the storm.
Their cloaks succeeded at keeping them dry for all of five seconds. As the rain pelted her face, Ina's senses gradually narrowed to nothing more than the feel of Okuni's hand in hers. Light showers like the one that had been hovering over Valora earlier were one thing. When the ocean might as well have been pouring from the sky, that was quite another matter. Ina had only bad memories associated with those storms.
Okuni squeezed Ina's hand abruptly, and Ina could just barely make out Okuni mouthing for them to stop. A moment passed, and Ina was about to ask what they were standing like statues in the middle of a downpour for when two columns of eerie blue flames erupted before them, illuminating a path. Even over the sounds of rain and thunder, Ina could hear Prinplup's startled squawk.
They started running again, and the moment they were beneath the threshold of the castle, the flames snapped out. Peering out from under the awning, Ina couldn't even make out the castle gates they must have passed through for all the rain.
Okuni cleared her throat from behind her, and Ina turned to see the castle doors opening. In that moment, she happily forgot every horror story she had ever heard about Spectra when she saw the warm, golden light emanating from the entry hall. Ina and Hoshiko barely had time to cast their sodden cloaks aside before Okuni steered them towards the throne room.
"Don't worry, your things will be taken care of," Okuni said before Ina could raise an objection. The entry hall of Spectra's castle was not overly-furnished, but Ina was willing to guess that the vases and sculptures that were on display were likely old heirlooms. One wall scroll that did catch her eye hung by the only visible set of stairs, a portrait of a dark-haired women with a Chandelure at her side.
Okuni led them to a pair of dark wooden doors inlaid with amethyst carvings of butterflies, which she knocked upon before opening. "My lady?" she called. "My apologies if I'm interrupting something."
If Ina's first impression of Spectra had been less than what she'd expected, her first impression of its infamous warlord certainly made up for it. Catching glimpses of Lady No from afar was different from being directly in her presence; feeling the aura of complete dominance radiating from every inch of her body. From her dark hair piled atop her head to the deep purple yukata cut to showcase her sensuous figure, everything about Lady No's appearance was tailored to suggest she was someone accustomed to being in control. Curling her garnet-painted lips in a half-smile at the sight of Okuni, Lady No let out a soft laugh that simultaneously captivated Ina and sent chills down her spine.
"Nothing at all, Okuni," she remarked, remaining seated on her throne. "Although you are back much earlier than I had expected. And I see you've brought us some guests."
Okuni was clearly more accustomed to whatever effect of Lady No's that Ina was currently under, because she stepped forward and gestured to both girls. "This is Lord Tadakatsu's daughter, Ina. We ran into a bit of trouble in Valora, and I'm afraid she got dragged along for the ride."
Lady No arched an eyebrow. "I'm assuming 'we' refers to yourself and this priestess?"
Surprisingly, Hoshiko didn't shrink under Lady No's scrutiny. Bowing, she said, "It's a pleasure to meet you, my lady. Okuni helped me out of a spot of trouble on the road, and spoke quite highly of you when we traveled together afterwards."
"Did she now?" Lady No murmured, and Ina could have sworn she saw a hint of a blush creeping up Okuni's neck.
"If we're through with introductions, there are several matters I need to speak with you about, my lady," Okuni said, a touch more brusquely than before.
"Of course," Lady No responded. "Why don't you show our guests to their rooms, and then report to my own. Clearly there is much we need to discuss."
Upon exiting the throne room, Ina felt as though she had been lifted from some deep trance. Okuni took one look at her face and sighed apologetically. "You always remember your first time meeting Lady No. If you speak to her again while you're here, it will get easier."
Okuni led them up several flights of stairs, stopping on the fourth floor. "Both of your rooms are next to mine, so if any spirits try anything tonight, don't be afraid to shout."
The shrine maiden stopped all of a sudden, looking up. Her voice gaining an edge, she called, "Although that's not going to have to happen, is it?"
Ina gasped as a gang of Haunters and Gastlys melted out of the shadows. Okuni stared down the largest of the Haunters, and they seemed to reach an unspoken agreement. The Ghost Pokemon vanished just as soundlessly as they had appeared, and Ina found herself wondering just what she had gotten herself into.
"Alright, they shouldn't bother either of you," Okuni asserted. She looked back at Ina and Hoshiko and suddenly burst out laughing. "Sorry, sorry! You're both just white as sheets! It never gets old."
With that, she showed Ina into a room surprisingly similar to her one back in Valora. "Again, I'm just two rooms over," Okuni said. A wicked grin crossed her face, and she whispered, "Enjoy your stay." Closing the door, she left Ina and her Pokemon to settle in for the night - although Ina could have sworn she heard a chuckle from the other side of the door. Turning, Ina was only vaguely surprised to see her cloak and bag already at the foot of the bed.
Looking down at Quagsire and Prinplup, Ina sighed. "Maybe we should have just taken our chances with the demons..."

This consists of 3-5 characters, ships, kingdoms, clans, etc. from the Pokemon Conquest / Samurai Warriors games, as well as which continuities you would like your gifts to be from. This helps us make the exchange accessible to people from both fandoms, and to pair you up with someone similar! NSFW requests are allowed, but only if both parties are comfortable with it and over 18.
On December 1st, your Secret Santa will be messaged your url and wishlist. While it's not mandatory, we encourage you to send them some friendly anons throughout the month! Who knows, it might even help give you inspiration! You will have until December 25th to create your gift. We understand that not everyone feels comfortable with an artwork exchange, so your gift can also be fanfiction, a playlist, headcanons, anything really! The only requirements are that it match up with something on your recipient's wishlist, and that it looks like you put effort into it. After all, you wouldn't want to receive something that looked like only five minutes were spent on it.
On December 25th, post your creation in the tag #pokemon conquest secret santa and tag the user it's for! If for some reason you won't be able to post your gift until past this deadline, or if you have to drop out, you must notify us at least a week in advance. We understand that life can get busy around the holidays, but it's also not fair to your recipient when everyone else has gotten their gifts and you're keeping them waiting. The final deadline to post gifts will be January 1st, and this will only be extended to people who message us beforehand.
More than anything else, we want this exchange to be about having fun and helping people in fandom meet other users! We hope to make this year even better than before, and we need you all for that to happen! As always, happy holidays, and we can't wait to see your incredible creations!

Pokemon Conquest Secret Santa Sign-Up!
Wow, looks like a lot of people are interested! Thanks so much to all the people who helped spread the original post around and raise attention to this blog. And in case this is the first post from us you’re seeing, this blog (run by the lovely ladies at @daphneblakess, @ginchiyohs, and @aya-is-the-queen) is organizing a Secret Santa gift exchange around the game Pokemon Conquest!
HOW TO JOIN
reblog this post by December 1st - everyone who does so will be assigned a Secret Santa by December 3rd!
after reblogging, send us an ask or a message with your wishlist - for this we’re looking at around 3-5 characters/ships/kingdoms/etc that you would like your gift to be based on! Please no NSFW requests.
that’s it!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
once you have the url of your Secret Santa’s blog, you can feel free to send them nice anons in the weeks leading up to Christmas!
on December 25th, post your gifts in the tag #pokemon conquest secret santa with your Secret Santa tagged somewhere in the description! The gift can be anything - fanfiction, edits, artwork, playlists, headcanons, just so long as it corresponds to something on your Secret Santa’s wishlist - remember to have fun and put heart into it!
if for some reason you have to drop out, please give us notice at least a week before Christmas so we can find a replacement for your Secret Santa. We don’t anticipate this happening, but nobody wants to be the only person who doesn’t get a present!
Have fun, and we’re excited to see what gifts you guys come up with!
