Marionette kindly whacked him on the head before he was more of an ass of himself and caused a scene. Sola, on the other hand, slowly reached out and pat N on the head. “It’s nice that you did actually talk to us, new friend! Also, hello! I hope the strange talking cat wasn’t mean to you.”

“I’M A ZANGOOSE- You know what, nevermind.”

Wick just ignored them all and continued leaning on N’s leg as she played with the hat, Robin only staring at the strange green haired person.

“Turned out the guy was abusive towards a few Pokemon behind closed doors and equally terrible to his wife.  He probably would’ve gotten sued to high heaven if he didn’t die in the blaze.  Tamarind was kicking himself in the shins for that, and nobody’s disclosed who burned it down in the first place.  Just that it didn’t come from one of those ‘oh the HGA is evil because they make Pokemon’ guys.”

“But for the most part?  Things have been pretty good, right now it’s starter season and the wanna-be starter hybrids are excited to join a new Trainer’s journey.”

( @ask-reluctant-nightshade ) Wick’s eyes widened at the sight of the obstagoon, quickly waddling her way over. “!!!!!!!!! BIG ANGY FUZZY FUCKER!” She held up an egg, tail swishing excitedly. “Wanna be big and scary like you, vee! Not as scary as mama, but still scary, vee!”

Vitomir: The Obstagoon picks up an egg, before he takes notice of the little gremlin. "Language." Vitomir said, disappointed at the little one. "You want to be scary? Like me? Hehe, I suggest bristling up your hair and getting scars. That'll scare them." He bristles Wick's tail for them. ( @ask-reluctant-nightshade )

(shaymincafe) Spicata @ Atzin: So how's a Sceptile like you manage to conjure fire magic like a Delphox? Other than training with them, are there any secrets to learning those techniques?

"It was mostly my father. He was the delphox that taught me as I grew up on how I can use fire magic."

Atzin takes out a stick from his hoodie to show the shaymin. The stick looks like a old tree branch with one end blackened from flames.

"I still have to focus through a wand to use fire moves, unlike my father who can do them without one. The one that I have is my dad's old stick when he was a braixen."

Atzin then creates a flame at the end of his stick. Twirling it around and making the flame dance.

"It's uncommon for a grass type to control fire right? It might had to do with where I grew up, not many grass types would want to live in a town near a volcano. Probably absorbed some fire energy or essence or something, and that let's me use fire moves." Atzin stops twirling the stick and snuffs the flame.

"Other than that, no real secret method. Just a couple years of tutoring."

Her eyes shone with interest before blinking clear. “Sorry- still getting used to existing. This is… the second event, I think! I don’t think I’ve felt this relaxed in ages!”

"'You can't join my team. Even if I used you for the first gym, eventually I would replace you with a Water-type and that wouldn't be fair to you to put you in the PC. Ice-type Pokemon just aren't good without extremely high stats.'"

Snowdrift looked off to the side. "My former mentor said your type doesn't matter if you're good at fighting. I call bullshit on that."

(@asktrainerzoroark) Snowdrift@Llndea Snowdrift assumes that he wouldn't be able to understand him if he just spoke like normal, so Snowdrift makes pawing motions towards Llndea's glove, curious if it was cosmetic or if he needed it for some reason.

Llndea looked at the hybrid, head tilted to the side in confusion.

"What's up? Need something? I can understand pokemon, so you can talk to m-"

Once Llndea noticed what Snowdrift was gesturing to, his eyes lit up to realize what he was referring to.

"Oh my glove?"

Llndea looked around for a bit before turning back to Snowdrift.

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to show you, but try not to tell anyone ok? I've gotten into a lot of trouble because of it"

Llndea proceeds to remove his glove, revealing that the spike that went through it was attached to his hand surrounded by black fur.
