She soon realized how pointless this was to ask, given her previous encounters already.

She made a light grimace; it still hurt all over.

Shauna slowed her movements, as was requested by the man. She didn't seem too phased by his reaction to her. Not yet.

Nor did she look any less hyper-active. Now she merely bounced on her toes, perking up only as she realized what he said.

He was human.

She laughed a little, as if Shinji made a jest of some kind. This, after writing something so... off-putting.

Moon Flicker (formerly Moon Flower, also pony version of Flicker) used to be a unicorn before ascending after doing some great deed (unsure what). She dislikes being an alicorn due to the attention it brings, and this is compounded when she outlives her best friend, Daisy Bell (pony version of Daisy). Years later she meets up with Flower Bud (pony version of Begonia), an earth pony who still hasn’t earned a cutie mark despite being an adult, since she has found nothing she’s passionate about. They strike up a friendship, letting Moon Flicker come out of her shell again.

[byul looks away, feeling both frustrated and a little embarrassed from being seen in such a vulnerable state. there is something about this human that calms him, and he doesn’t feel like snapping at them. he looks over to zelle, wondering if he would give him similar advice.]

[it’s not hard to see he cares for his pokemon, and considering how patient he’s been with byul... maybe he shouldn’t be so quick to assume how jinyoung feels about him, after all. though he isn’t completely confident, he turns back to the human with determination in his eyes.]

even if i was born on poni island, jinyoung is my family now. whatever i find there... i won’t let it keep me from returning to him. i’ll... i’ll get stronger so i can protect him from anything, even from myself!

he only started having problems after he evolved into a luxray. i think- well, i thought he was just having trouble adjusting to being much stronger after evolving, but after asking professor kukui about it, there’s probably something else going on that’s causing him to behave like this. something that i can’t really help with... that’s why i hope lin can-
