TOP 5 POISONOUS FLOWERS
1) NERIUM OLEANDER:
It's the most poisonous flower in the world, it's toxic from root to tip. It pops in awesome colors like white, magneta, crimson, and fragrance is awesome, but even if you burn it, yet inhaling it can be life threatening.
2) ACONITUM:
These flowers look beautiful, but it can paralyse the cardiac muscles or complete respiratory system. It's said that witches used these flowers as their flying potion.
3) DRACUNCULUS VULGARIS:
Its known as stinky lily or snake lily commonly. The aroma that it spreads is of rotting meat, it hates direct sunlight, and is happier in shade. Even touching it causes allergic reactions.
4) RAFFLESIA ARNOLDII:
This is the largest individual flower in the world, it weighs 15 pounds(6.8 Kgs), it has polka dots, and it's appearance is strange and different. It has no roots or stems and blooms only for 5 days, it realeses the smell of rotten flesh, and this smell is very poisonous for humans.
5) TITAN ARUM:
It's as dangerous as fascinating it appears. It blooms for 3 days only. It exhibits a fleshy smell that is not only very toxic but overpowering. It has a spike in the center, and can result in terrible irritation or death.

I’m not fantastic at line art. I want to try and do #inktober anyway.
Here’s my poisonous bouquet of flowers; oleander, nightshade, water hemlock, castor flowers and monkshood.

Although it’s hard to deny their beauty some people shy away from a bouquet of lilies in the home because of the heady scent, which some find overwhelming. But did you know by removing the stamen the scent can be controlled? I didn’t know this until today. With a pair of tweezers, reach inside and pull the stamen out of the center of the each flower. Also, heads up! The entire flower, including stem, is toxic to cats! #liliesbouquet #poisonousflowers #headyscent #lilieslove (at Ottawa, Ontario) https://www.instagram.com/p/CO2y8p1FeCt/?igshid=1sdiqbzhth6gc

Sacred Datura - Did you ever wonder why it has “sacred” as a part of its name? So did I! Here’s what I found out: “Since ancient times, sacred datura and its relatives have been used for medicinal and ceremonial purposes, by holy men and medicine men, by sorcerers and witches.58 The pounded root was an all-purpose cure, good for cuts, bruises and gunshot wounds.34 Gamblers kept a root in their pocket to enable them to foresee the cards and guide their bets.34 Native Americans in southern California also used sacred datura for medicinal and ceremonial purposes. It was the most important medicinal plant of the Chumash.15 The Luiseño used the smoke to relieve the pain of rheumatism and earaches.17 Medicine men of the Chumash, Luiseño, and Kumeyaay* used sacred datura to produce hallucinations during puberty rites.15,17,18 A young Chumash boy was given a liquid from pounded datura root. The resulting dreams revealed a spirit guardian, or “dream helper” to give him guidance in the future.15 In spite of its extreme toxicity, sacred datura is a popular garden plant.24 The International Brugmansia and Datura Society74 is dedicated to the culture and cultivation of Datura and two closely related genera.” - Nature Collective #SacredDatura #JimsonWeed #GeorgiaOKeeffeFlower #IndigenousAmericanRitual #Wildflower #Toxic #PoisonousFlower #WhySacredDaturaIsSacred #InterestingFacts (at Santa Fe, New Mexico) https://www.instagram.com/p/ChymxFfgAhX/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
