Kalvare - Vaanathi x ArulMozhi
The young maiden with her trembling hands as she walked into the chamber that will be shared by her and her love, the one that stole her heart for a long time, her Prince, her King and her husband now.
What if she couldn't satisfy him or his needs? What if she was not that beautiful for him to admire? Her covered body would be fully visible to his eyes now and only his forever. Will he leave her, seeing she is not a woman enough for him?
Each step she took made her heart thump faster, and at last, she reached inside. Her eyes looked around to find no one, as the dim lights made the place more surreal. Cold hair brushed her face and made her hair flow, and just like that, her eyes found the one she always searched for: her love and her heart.
He stands on the balcony, and the moonlight shines through him, making him look like Devendhiran(Indira), who could steal anyone's heart with his shining beauty.
And just like that, all the trembling thoughts left the young and beautiful princess as her husband's soft eyes shined upon her, pouring so much love out of them.
He slowly raised his hand and opened his palm, indicating her to place hers, which she did. A simple touch of their hands made their legs go jelly, but luckily, he was there to catch her, as always.
"Finally, my wife found the way to our chamber as she did with my heart," he whispered. The Arulmozhi Varman smiled at Vaanathi, his love and his princess, whom he would always cherish and never let go.
He placed her before him, her back resting against his chest, his arms encircling her protectively. They stood in silence for a moment, simply feeling the warmth of each other's presence.
"You find your comfort?" He asked, to which Vaanathi hummed 'Hmm' as she looked at the moon and the stars shining down upon them.
"Is the chilly weather okay for my Queen?" Arulmozhi chuckled as he whispered into her ears, causing Vaanthi to blush as she hummed again, 'Hmm.' This caused him to smirk as he looked at her, who was trying hard not to look at him because of her shyness.
"Will you tell me your wishes tonight? Or just humming with your sweet voice for me to decrypt it?" he whispered as his lips brushed against her ear, causing her chest to heave and her breath to be rapid.
Vaanathi turned slightly, just enough to look into his eyes. With a smile, she opened her mouth only for a beautiful melody to be left from her mouth.
En Aasai En Aasai Naana Solvaen En Aasai Naana Solvaen En Aasai Neeyae Sonnal Kannalae Aamam Enbaenae (What my desire is…I can always tell you. But if you can express (guess) it yourself. I will concur with my eyes.)
His hold on her tightened as he smiled at her words and how she sang her feelings. "Is that so?" He replied as he lifted her and walked down to their bed. He placed her gently like a flower and settled beside her. He chuckled once again at her shyness. "What happens next, then?" he asked, smirking at her. Vaanathi once again replied with a song as she continued her feminine desire to be outspoken with her song to her thief.
Engengae Udathum Poagum Angangae Uyirum Pogum Anbala Aalacholvaenae Valimigum Idangal Valimigaa Idangal Thamizhukku Therigindrathey Valimigum Idangal Valimigaa Idangal Thangalukku Therigindrathaa (Wherever your lips are going. My breath is following them. I am asking you to rule me with your Love. The parts that pain. The parts that don't. Tamil(ian) always knows. The parts that pain. The parts that don't. Do you know at all?)
Arulmozhi left her speechless as he smiled, 'Ahh.' He slowly lifted her face and cupped it, playing feather-like kisses all over her face. His hands started to untie her saree, slowly removing the jewels that had hidden her beauty.
Vaanthi smiled as he slowly made her lie down on the bed. He then started to worship her and teach her everything she needed, and soft music once again left her mouth for his ears alone.
Kalvarae kalvarae Kalvarae kalvarae Kanpugum Kalvarae kaikondu Paareero Kankondu Saereero Kalai Solli Thaareero (O Mr.Thief (!!!!)… Who is immersed in my eyes. Looking through hands. Entering through the eyes. Please teach me that art. )
The room dimmed with laughter, moans, and lovable words echoing through it, sealing the life of two gentle hearts.
Note: I am planning for another one-shot of my favourite couple, VanMozhi, where the gentle Prince teaches her the art of intimacy. Then, I heard this song, Kalvare, from Raavanan. My god, is this a coincidence or what? My hand couldn't wait to type everything so that I could read them.

Malaysia Vasudevan and His Iconic Collaborations with Ilaiyaraaj
In the golden era of Tamil cinema, where music was the heartbeat of every film, Malaysia Vasudevan emerged as a name synonymous with soul-stirring melodies and versatile playback singing. Born in Malaysia but destined to leave an indelible mark on the Indian film industry, his journey from a foreign land to becoming one of Tamil Nadu’s most beloved playback singers is nothing short of extraordinary. This article delves deep into the life and legacy of Malaysia Vasudevan, exploring how his voice became the soundtrack of an era.
Early Life: Humble Beginnings in Malaysia Malaysia Vasudevan was born on June 15, 1944, in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia, into a Tamil family that cherished music. His upbringing was modest, marked by the challenges faced by immigrant Tamil families in Malaysia. Despite the hurdles, his home was filled with the sounds of Tamil folk music, instilling in him a passion for singing from a young age.
In the 1970s, Vasudevan moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, driven by his dream of pursuing a career in music. Initially, he struggled to find his footing in the competitive world of Tamil cinema. However, his perseverance and innate talent soon caught the attention of industry stalwarts, setting him on a path to stardom.
Breaking Through in Tamil Cinema Malaysia Vasudevan’s big break came when he crossed paths with the legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja. Their collaboration became one of the most celebrated partnerships in the history of Tamil cinema. Vasudevan’s unique voice — earthy, emotive, and versatile — stood out in an industry dominated by playback singers like T.M. Soundararajan and S.P. Balasubrahmanyam.
One of his earliest hits was “Aattukutti Muttai Ittu” from the film 16 Vayathinile (1977), composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The song showcased his ability to infuse folk elements with cinematic flair, earning him widespread recognition. From there, Vasudevan’s career soared as he delivered hit after hit, becoming a sought-after voice for both lead actors and character artists.
A Voice for Every Emotion What set Malaysia Vasudevan apart was his ability to adapt his voice to suit a wide range of emotions and characters. Whether it was a romantic ballad, a soulful lament, or a high-energy dance number, he had a remarkable knack for bringing songs to life.
Songs like “Kanmaniye Pesu” (Puthiya Vaarpugal), “Vaa Vennila” (Mella Thirandhathu Kadhavu), and “Kovil Mani Osai” (Kizhakke Pogum Rail) showcased his romantic side, while numbers like “Nethu Rathiri Yamma” (Sattam En Kaiyil) and “Annatha Aadurar” (Apoorva Sagodharargal) highlighted his ability to handle upbeat tracks with ease.
Beyond his vocal range, Vasudevan’s unique strength was his ability to connect emotionally with the audience. Listeners felt every note he sang, making his songs timeless classics.
Collaborations with Ilaiyaraaja and Other Composers Malaysia Vasudevan’s partnership with Ilaiyaraaja is often considered one of the most iconic in Tamil music history. Together, they created over 700 songs that defined the musical landscape of the time.
In addition to Ilaiyaraaja, he worked with other legendary composers like M.S. Viswanathan, K.V. Mahadevan, and Shankar-Ganesh. His adaptability and willingness to experiment allowed him to stay relevant in an industry that was constantly evolving.
Recognition and Awards Despite his immense contribution to Tamil cinema, Malaysia Vasudevan often remained in the shadow of his contemporaries. However, his talent did not go unrecognized. He received numerous accolades, including Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and other honors for his contribution to music. His humility and dedication to his craft earned him respect among peers and fans alike.
Beyond Playback Singing: A Multifaceted Artist Malaysia Vasudevan was not just a playback singer; he was also an actor and a composer. He acted in several Tamil films, often in supporting roles, and composed music for a few movies. His versatility as an artist made him a beloved figure in the Tamil film industry.
A Legacy That Lives On Malaysia Vasudevan passed away on February 20, 2011, leaving behind a treasure trove of songs that continue to resonate with fans across generations. His influence on Tamil music is undeniable, and his contributions have paved the way for countless aspiring singers from diverse backgrounds.
Even today, his songs are played at weddings, cultural events, and celebrations, proving that his voice has become a permanent part of Tamil culture.
Conclusion Malaysia Vasudevan was more than just a playback singer — he was a phenomenon who defined an era of Tamil cinema. His journey from humble beginnings in Malaysia to becoming one of Tamil Nadu’s most cherished voices is a testament to his talent, perseverance, and passion for music. As we listen to his timeless melodies, we are reminded of the profound impact one artist can have on an entire generation.

Upanja v svet, kjer so mir, spoštovanje in svoboda samoumevne vrednote. Upanja v prihodnost, ki jo bomo gradili na temeljih sodelovanja in medsebojnega razumevanja.
