I could not sigh or pull my hands down my face enough.

My exhaustion is the result of being full of ideas with no clue where to start

My exhaustion is the result of pouring my heart out and wondering who will push it all back in

My exhaustion is the result of being told what would be agreeable and what might put me on the outs

It’s a result of being told to repeat my perfectly clear question

A result of being dumbed down, hoped to not understand, and laughed at

Its the result of womanhood

And it could never

Meaning not ever

Be more than a one sided deep confessional love reciprocated only in illuminated dreams and the dent in my bed which feels like you

And we ignore a day full of special glances and gazes

Attention held on each others words and not much else

I’m letting my heart spill now because days are numbered and you are love

And i feel this unfairly, unjustly, without your knowledge

I want to pierce the heart in my chest that allows me to wake up and love you every morning, while you dont

I want to unravel the folds in my brain for remembering every gesture, nod, and word you say, while you ask me to remind you

I want to fill my shoes with concrete so I don’t try to find where you are or where you’re headed, when you never look behind you or make room to walk beside you

I want to peel my face off when i catch you being darling, and crack a smile accidentally, when you’ve never uncontrollably admired my doings

I want to melt, become disembodied bits, which no longer operate which you wouldn’t miss or even notice
