Hiiiii! Out of curiosity: first fandom? Fave fanfics? Favorite meal/snack/food? Any pets??

Well, I've got to confess that, apart from ST, I've never participated in any fandom as actively, or if I have, I definitely didn't know it was such a thing. I think I've always been into the Disney classics (fairy tales and their retellings, really), I think, yeah, that's the first.

Other fandoms I've loved while growing up are, generally speaking, magical girls anime (Card Captor Sakura and Sailor Moon, for example), Harry Potter, Kingdom Hearts and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Same with fanfics, I did read a few when I was a kid and during a brief period of time, because they were always in Spanish and honestly, not very good (English is not my native language), so, surprisingly enough, it wasn't until I started reading steddie fics by mere chance that I fell in love with the fanfic concept.

My favorite one, the one that rocked my world is the lathe by palmviolet. That was the one that kept me riding the steddie fics wave (I've read currently more than 200), the one that made me come to tumblr for the first time. It is a must. It's an ode to life.

You're Divine by azrielgreen, of course, another must. Steve's First Bruise by cairparavels is also amazing and surprising. Show me the place where he inserted the blade by cheatghost is brutal. We're better off as lovers by Appledagger is spectacular, too.

God, there are so many, I should do a steddie fic rec sometime soon, or even some analysis from certain topics and themes, these I just mentioned are brilliant masterpieces, and the authors should be proud.

Favorite meal is... ridiculous, really. I love soup, but a specific kind of soup. It's vegetable soup with a handfull of dinosaur shaped pasta, sometimes with a boiled egg. I could eat that every day.

I call it the dinosoup.

Ah, and chocolate. Dark chocolate, white chocolate. But not chocolate with milk, though (?)

I've got a dog, he's turning nine this September. It's a mix of labrador and andalusian warren hound (podenco andaluz). He's a 66 pound (30 kg) lazy sweet cinnamon roll. His name is Appa, after the flying bison in Avatar.

TRIQUI - MADRID

En mayo trajimos a casa a Triqui, un cachorro de podenco andaluz porque la persona que tuvo la camada se quería deshacer de ellos. Lo hemos estado atendiendo desde entonces, pero por circunstancias personales no podemos dedicarle el tiempo y cuidados que necesita. Tiene muy buen carácter y es bastante astuto. ¿Qué tipo de perro es el podenco?

El podenco es un perro de caza rápido y ágil, con un gran sentido del olfato y una increíble capacidad para seguir el rastro de su presa. Físicamente, es esbelto y estilizado, con el hocico alargado, las orejas erguidas y acabadas en punta, y el pelo corto (menos en el caso del podenco portugués).

El podenco andaluz se adaptará a casi cualquier tipo de vivienda, no tiene grandes necesidades de espacio siempre y cuando lo saques a pasear entre tres y cuatro veces al día.

In honor of my second ever meetup with the wonderful @lanidon I dug up some old pics from the first time we got to hang out, what, nine months ago? I think I never posted these just because I captured so few good pics!

This was one stop in a long road trip and I wasn't sure my human selective rascal would handle it well, so Benny didn't get to attend. But of course the darling little lady Astrid was there, and the sweet and lovely Kunina! Seeker was out of his comfort zone in the August heat after a series of long car rides without Benny. I won't do that to him again, but he was a perfect gentleman regardless.

I think it's going to take me a while to post pics from our recent vacation just because I have the opposite problem - way too many cute pictures to choose from!

Jessie – 4-5 year old female Podenco Andaluz

Beautiful little Jessie is a small tan and white mini Podenco (Podenco Andaluz) girl standing at 46cm and 48cm long and weighs about 14 kgs. She is sweet and loving she is child and cat friendly. She is very good in the home and loves people very much. Christi enjoyed living with male and female dogs when she was in the refuge in Spain, She is an extremely loving girl who is desperate to give her family all of her love! Jessie in now in the UK in a foster home enjoying the comforts of home! Jessie is very good on the lead and does not pull. We feel she would prefer to be the only dog in her new home, so she can have ALL the attention!

This lovely girl was in the Spanish refuge for over two years and overlooked! She was found wandering, bewildered and very skinny on the roadside. Now in foster home the UK she is looking for a home where she can finally find the love she deserves. She has been getting used to life in a UK home and all the sights and sounds that go with it. She walks very well on the lead.

FOSTERER’S REPORT: Jessie is a well behaved little girl and walks well on her lead. She can be jealous of my dogs here over cuddles and food, so shes going to be fine living without another dog as she is just wanting her human Mom and Dad. Current location is in a foster home in Solihull, West Midlands. Vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, neutered, microchipped, Pet Passport. FREE 4 weeks Pet Insurance to be activated from the link on our website. Any known health issues NONE KNOWN.

We can not home dogs from Spain to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough. Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
