Do you know about POCO F2 (Yes, it was a thing) ?
This was my first ever thread in POCO Community India in 2021, when I had joined as one of the beta testers, so data you would be reading are of 2 years old, now as the old website for POCO Community India is dead, I wanted to preserve my work on my Tumblr blog like this. Hope that you guys would still find it interesting :)
POCO F2 was really desinged by Xiaomi (as POCO was still Xiaomi's Sub-Brand in 2019)
Recently, everyone on Internet was shocked to see the prototype images of POCO F2 on Internet. So, what the phone had ?
Specs (as per the materials I have with me):-
Redmi K20S was designed to be made available as POCO F2 for Global market, it was under Project Davinci.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It had Snapdragon 855, front shooter was desined at the left corner & had Triple camera at backside (Resolutions of these cameras & all the details relevant to this are unknown), it had FHD+ Amoled Display & fingerprint sensor at the back. The prototype had Black and Green Colour & Glass Back.
It was running on Engineering Rom (AOSP), probably the MIUI build was never built.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Overall, It was a good update over POCO F1 in tems of 2019 standards.
Tumblr media
I don't have any information why the project was cancelled from my level
POCO had brought POCO F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro Global version) for Global market, they had the plans of bringing back or creating new "F2" atlest for the Indian markets, but due to Pandemic situation in 2020
F2 never appeared for Indian market/Globally.
In 2021, POCO Launched POCO F3 (Redmi K40 aka. Mi 11X for India) Globally & POCO F3 GT (Redmi K40 Gaming Edition) exclusively for India & brought back the "F" series for Indian market.
In an episode of POCO AMA, Mr. Anuj Sharma (EX Country Director - POCO India) had said that he wants to use Snapdragon 888 in POCO F3 Pro, so we can expect more from POCO in future.

All the material provied in this post are taken from Xiaomiui Prototypes Telegram Channel, you check their channel for all the released/unreleased prototypes of Xiaomi Phones etc.
Signing off,
More interesting blogs are coming next, stay tuned :)

The Poco F1 offers extraordinary value for money. While it may not glamours as the OnePlus 6 or the Asus Zenfone 5Z, we can still wholeheartedly recommend it to power users looking for a mid-range phone. The Poco F1 offers great hardware, a reasonable set of cameras, and long-lasting battery. These are precisely attributed that mid-range buyers look for and they are also tough to score in this budget.
With such aggressive pricing, Xiaomi is certainly going to kill all competition ranging in the broad price bracket of Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000. After recent price cuts, The Poco F1 is the best specced phone you can get under Rs 20,000.

The Xiaomi Poco F1 comes with 3.55mm audio jack which is a good thing for music and game lovers. All of the buttons are placed on the right edge whereas the left edge houses SIM slot. At the bottom, you get speaker grills and USB type-c port.
Coming to the back, Xiaomi has placed the dual camera setup vertically right in the centre. Below the camera module is a fingerprint sensor which is blazing fast. And at the bottom, you can see “Poco” branding.
Overall, the design is good and is more durable than the glass panel-equipped smartphones.

Smart’er’ phones to look for in 2019?!
Most smartphone brands typically release a new, advanced model to their already successfully existing series at least once a year. A one-year frequency for flagship releases has become the unsaid market trend to retain business and expand the number of users. 2019 will be a year of major transitions with the introduction of 5G. Along with that we can see some brilliant flexible displays, top notch cameras and behind screen fingerprint readers. Some of the phones that we can expect to see in the coming year are:
Xiaomi POCO F2
Expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2019, POCO F2 will come with a rear fingerprint sensor, 24MP front camera, non-removable 4700 mah battery, 16MP plus 10MP dual pixel AI dual camera and dual tone LED flash. Successor to the very promising Poco F1, F2 is rumored to be released at a competitive price of $500 (read INR 35,000), it could be the next big thing to look out for.
Nokia 808 Pure view
Buyers should expect an overall face change; it will have an oval and curvy façade but narrower bezels. The most distinct feature will be the 41MP camera while the back camera module will remain shaped in the Nokia trademark. It will also sport the combo of Xenon and LED flash, dual front cameras and dual front speakers
Apple iPhone Pro
Next gen in the Apple phones is the much awaited iPhone Pro with state of the art flexible display and a foldable screen. It’s worth waiting for speculated to incorporate Apple A 13 processor that may go down in size to 5 nanometers. It also include 3 larger and faster rear camera and a lot more to provide the ultimate gaming experience but watch out for the hole it might create in your pockets.
Samsung Galaxy S10 or Galaxy X
With 5G tech in place, S10 will allow users incredible download and upload speed with AAA gaming experience and streaming services. With the most powerful 3D sensing camera and infinity display, it might give apple users a run for their money.
Sony Xperia X Z4
It is rumored that Sony is going to launch its first 5G phone with a battery that could potentially last up to an entire week. Z4 is speculated to be launched at the same time when Galaxy S10 is slated to be unveiled; i.e. February 2019.
At a little additional cost, we are able to keep ourselves abreast with whatever is newer and fancier in communication technology. However, shouldn’t there be more value added to the switch we make from being smart to smart’er’? Or is it okay to continue creating e-junk? Cashify could be our one stop solution as it allows us to let go of the smart in as little as 60 seconds.
Obviously, the smart phone end users are always going to be fascinated by the frequent revisions in mobile phone machinery and the wide range of overall artistic effects. However, the only discouraging factor is the effort that is required to dispose of the existing ‘almost new’ gadgets; naturally these can’t be the ‘hand me downs’ of our childhood.
What options does one have? A) You can spend a day travelling to the electronic markets in the city, in harrowing traffic and haggle over the price with many so called ‘second-hand’ mobile phone dealers and realize that instead of the experience, you could have easily thrown it in the trash bin right outside the house and felt better for saving yourself some time, energy and sweat. B) You can post an advert on one of the mostly-friendly marketing platforms to try your luck and manage to sell your gadget with zero hassles to a total stranger and pray that the buyer would not come back with complaints. C) You can download the cashify.in mobile app or register on the website to be able to get a fair deal as quickly as the blink of an eye.
Say goodbye to your old phone
Dealing with cashify.in and working around their mobile app is the easiest thing under the sun. It guarantees you the smoothest and fairest selling experience. Once you have already decided to let go of your smart phone, login to cashify.in website and select the phone you would like to sell from the available list. Next, answer a set of quick questions regarding your smart phone that would help in determining the cost of your phone against the existing market price. The price is quoted instantaneously depending on which you may choose to proceed with or abort the initiative. If you find the quoted price decently competitive, you should schedule a free pickup of the phone from your doorstep in the next 48 hours. The pickup staff validates the condition of the phone to ensure fair practice and make the payment through your preferred mode of payment. The transaction is legalized with an invoice.
What more could one ask for? Switching from one smart phone to another or upgrading to a newer technology was never this simple!

Poco X3 Pro review: More power to you
📷
📷📷 Poco X3Poco hasn’t been around for long and yet very quickly this Xiaomi spinoff brand has built a reputation for itself launching multiple products with “world’s first or India’s first” technologies. Starting off with the illustrious Poco F1, it went on to launch the Poco X2 (first phone under 20k with 120Hz refresh rate display) and Poco X3 (first phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G system-on-chip). The freshly minted Poco X3 Pro, likewise, is the first phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC. More than the chip itself, it is the price of the phone that is grabbing headlines. It starts at just Rs 18,999 (6GB/128GB).Then again, if you know a thing or two about Poco, this is business as usual.Unlike the Poco F1 or Poco X2 or even the Poco X3, the Poco X3 Pro isn’t technically a new product so to say. As the name suggests, it’s a turbo-charged Poco X3. If the Poco X3 was a race car, the Poco X3 Pro with its more powerful hardware should be a rocket ship. That’s expected. But that’s not all that you probably expect from a phone launching in 2021, even if its costs so low. You also expect a little bit of polish and a little bit of promise of futureproofing to go along.High performance, delivered Like the phone itself, the chip inside it is also not completely brand new. The Snapdragon 860 is a Snapdragon 855 from 2019 with a slightly overclocked CPU. Think of it as a refurbished Snapdragon 855 Plus. Considering how fast Qualcomm keeps refreshing its portfolio these days, some might take that refurbished badge with a pinch of salt. Some might call it dated. But when you put a chip like that inside a budget phone like the Poco X3 Pro, all your preconceived notions are instantly blown away. Suddenly, things start to make a lot of sense.Make no mistake, this is the most powerful phone under 20k in the Indian market today. Period. As if it wasn’t already enough, the Poco X3 Pro also comes with UFS 3.1 storage, another first for any phone in this price range. The Poco X3 Pro story essentially revolves around this hardware combo. It is perhaps the only Poco phone worthy of being called a “spiritual” successor to the Poco F1, perfectly aligning with its “everything you need, nothing you don’t” formula which is probably why the brand is going all out on marketing it that way. For good reason. Next to the Poco X3, the Poco X3 Pro is a whole new beast. Like I said, it’s a rocket ship. And it performs like one, for the most part. There are two parts to this story. This is the only phone under 20k that can play a graphically intensive game like Genshin Impact (at medium setting) or Call of Duty: Mobile (all maxed out) effortlessly, which is to say that your experience would be very, very satisfying. The Adreno 640 GPU holds up well. Though it throttles from time to time, this phone latches on and gives you a steady 60fps in many supporting games. Something like this was not possible before. It opens new opportunities, the Poco X3 Pro, for those looking to get some sort of headstart into the world of competitive gaming without breaking their bank. But it is not perfect. The Snapdragon 860, like the Snapdragon 870, and even the Snapdragon 888, is prone to heating, sometimes alarmingly when stressed. There is a cooling system inside the phone — called Liquid Cool Plus — but it seems lifted as is from the Poco X3, a phone that came with a far less powerful chip in comparison. Whatever it is, it can’t hold the beast for long as the Poco X3 Pro gets warm quickly, and near toasty during extended gaming sessions. At this point, it can become uncomfortable to hold.Basic day-to-day tasks are handled well by the phone though. As an everybody phone, this is as slick as it can get at such a low price. Poco gives you an option for up to 8 gigs of LPDDR4X RAM. Storage is capped at 128GB, but the phone supports expansion by up to 1TB. This is via a hybrid slot.Beyond gaming Rest of the Poco X3 Pro is familiar territory. Be it design, display, or battery. Even the cameras. That is not to say there are no changes, but those changes have got more to
do with subtle refinements than anything else. Some choices work, some not so much but you can tell Poco has tried to add a bit of polish to the whole package. The Poco X3 was rough around the edges. This starts with the design itself. The dual tone look is being carried over, which is to say that the Poco X3 Pro — like its predecessor — is also unapologetically bold and flashy. There is a new bronze colourway if you’re into that sort of thing. The pill-shaped massive camera module stays put too. So does the recessed side-mounted fingerprint reader which is, expectedly, fast and responsive. The only change here is the slightly tweaked Poco branding that’s more “3D” than before, but still difficult to unsee — and in my case, difficult to get along with. One of the big concerns with the Poco X3 was its heft. It was big and bulky. A part of this was because of its huge 6,000mAh battery. Poco has tried to address those concerns by reducing capacity — the Poco X3 Pro has a smaller 5,160mAh battery — but the results are nothing to write home about. The Poco X3 Pro is still an all-plastic phone that’s almost 215 gram in weight and nearly 9.5mm in thickness. Not to mention, that watered-down battery means the Poco X3 Pro can’t last as long as the Poco X3 (battery life on average is good though). It’s one of those rare instances where Poco has backed itself into a corner. It’s barely touched that screen though aside from bumping up the protection which is Corning Gorilla Glass 6 now. The Poco X3 Pro has the same 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with 1080p resolution and dynamic 120Hz refresh rate (240Hz touch sampling) as the Poco X3. It works in the same way also which means it is good but not best in class. The panel does not get very bright, colours appear muted and viewing angles could be better. The phone can’t play HDR10 content off streaming services like Netflix despite support. Ghosting or random stutters are common across some UI elements from time to time or when you are browsing through a page that involves diverse elements like text, images/GIFs, or videos. Next to a phone like the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, or Note 10 Pro, the Poco X3 Pro looks seriously underpowered in this regardThese Redmi phones also give the Poco X3 Pro’s cameras a run for their money. The Poco X3, even though it was a performance-oriented slash gaming phone, had a competitive camera setup. For some curious reason, its “Pro” version takes several steps back. It has a 48MP main (this was 64MP in the X3), 8MP ultra-wide-angle (13MP in X3) and two 2MP cameras, one for depth and another for macros. Output is just about serviceable. You can take good-enough shots with the primary camera (Sony IMX582 sensor) when lots of light is available, but the level of detail and dynamic range could be better. Colours are mostly true to source, which is nice. The ultra-wide camera lacks colour parity with the main camera, but it does a decent job offering a wider perspective when lighting is ideal. Details are still amiss in these photos, but it is what it is. Portraits shot with the Poco X3 Pro come out nice with good subject separation and creamy background blur. The macro shooter is a hit or miss affair. Low light photos (even with night mode which is also available on the ultra-wide) are disappointing, in part due to the aggressive noise reduction algorithm. Video recording tops out at 4K@30fps. The 20MP front camera is same as the one on the Poco X3. It takes decent selfies when lighting is good with occasional smoothening even when beautification is manually set to off.Software has always been Poco’s dark horse and while that’s largely true about the Poco X3 Pro as well, MIUI for Poco is clearly showing signs of ageing, already. It does not show any pesky ads like its other Redmi siblings which is well articulated and appreciated, but Poco needs to do more than that to justify its existence as an independent brand now. MIUI for Poco needs to be more than just MIUI with a Poco launcher to differentiate itself. With Xiaomi borrowing many of its features including the
hallowed app drawer and Google feed on the minus one screen, MIUI for Poco doesn’t really stand out anymore. If anything, it has become buggier by the day. The amount of bloat or unwanted apps has gone up. But the biggest problem is the lack of clarity on future updates. My review unit is running MIUI 12.0.5 (with the April security patch) when an even cheaper Redmi phone like the Redmi Note 10S has been updated to MIUI 12.5.4.An ode to a classic I write this review as I install Battlegrounds Mobile India Beta on this phone, and I can’t help but think how far Poco has come. How the Poco F1 turned the industry literally upside down. That phone was far from perfect. It had a wonky design and terrible cameras. The thing couldn’t even stream Netflix in high definition initially. And yet, here we are, three years later, still asking Poco to launch a successor. Not a lot of phones have commanded so much respect and adulation from fans and critics alike. It was truly one of its kind, the Poco F1, and I think it’s befitting it stays that way. Some things are just not meant to be replacedBut you can always have a product or two that could take you back in time. Something like the Poco X3 Pro. It is the only phone that has been able to recreate some of that lost Poco F1 magic for me.There are phones with better design, more colourful display, significantly better cameras, and longer battery life under 20k, but none of them can play Battlegrounds Mobile India Beta the way it is meant to be played like the Poco X3 Pro. If that is what you are looking for, the Poco X3 Pro comes highly recommended. But here’s the thing, nostalgia and power will take Poco only so far. Considering how a lot of people are still holding on to their Poco F1s, it would have been nice had Poco offered a 5G option (it’s possible since the Snapdragon 860 is compatible with an external X50 5G modem) even if it came at a cost.Pros: Most powerful phone under 20k, 120Hz display, Loud dual speakers, IP53 rating, Good battery lifeCons: Big and bulky, Cameras could be better, Slow Android update rollout

Poco X3 Pro review: Good performance, modest cameras but unwieldy and heavy
Tumblr media
Poco X2 (review) is the last smartphone from Chinese smartphone brand Poco that I tested. Though among the good ones of its time, the smartphone left me in the lurch simply because I was expecting Poco to make a comeback after a silent gap of over two years after the Poco F1. The next Poco smartphone that I used after about a year, the Poco X3 Pro, seemed to be a performance-centric package. With Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 system-on-chip in tow, the Poco X3 Pro is touted to be the spiritual successor to the Poco F1. But is it really that? Let’s find out:
Poco X3 Pro: Design
Poco is one of the brands that do not shy away from experimenting with radical colour themes in their smartphones. That legacy continues with the Poco X3 Pro. Aimed at young buyers, the phone comes in three jazzy colour options – graphite black (review unit), steel blue and golden bronze. The colour theme is accentuated by an unconventionally shaped rear camera module and an intriguing patterned design on the back cover. Speaking of the back cover, it is made of good quality polycarbonate featuring a thick glossy stripe at the centre sandwiched between stripes in matte finish on the sides. The centre stripe features a Poco logo, which is big enough to come to notice but outlined for minimal distraction. Rounding up the package is the IP53 rating, which is good to handle minor water splashes and dust abuse. It is, however, strongly advised not to expose the phone to either water or dust as both can damage the phone severely. While the overall design is good, the build is uninspiring. The Poco X3 Pro is big, heavy and bulky. It weighs 213g and is 9.4mm thick on its thinnest side.
Poco X3 Pro: Display
Not much seems to have changed here since the Poco X2 and the display on the Poco X3 Pro is mediocre at best. The phone sports a 6.67-inch LCD screen of a fullHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution, stretched in a tall 20:9 aspect ratio. Though the screen does well with contrast, it seems off with regard to colours, brightness and viewing angles. The screen supports HDR10, but the panel’s abysmal brightness hampers its utility to a large extent. The brightness might not be good enough for HDR10 content, but it does not temper the screen’s sunlight legibility. It is also a competent screen for fast-paced games like Call of Duty Mobile, thanks to the 240Hz touch sampling rate. As for the refresh rate, the screen goes up to 120Hz and variably adjusts it based on on-screen content requirements. That said, the user interface (UI) transitions appear lively and enhances user experience (UX) in regular operations (browsing, social media, etc). Being an LCD panel, the phone’s display does not include the on-screen fingerprint sensor, which is placed beneath the side-mounted power button. It is safe, fast and accurate and one of the best things this smartphone offers.

Xiaomi spinoff POCO’s F2 Pro undercuts Android rivals with low price and flagship features
POCO, a brand that spun out of Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi earlier this year, today launched the POCO F2 Pro smartphone as it continues its new journey as an independent firm.
The POCO F2 Pro, like its two-year-old sleeper hit predecessor Pocophone F1 smartphone, punches above its price class. It features an all-screen 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display (with 2400×1080 pixels), in-screen fingerprint scanner, support for 5G, quad-core rear camera setup, and a pop-up front camera that quietly tucks away when not in use. It also features a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The smartphone comes in two variants: one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage that is priced at €499 (roughly $540), and the other that features 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage that costs €599 (roughly $650).
Both the variants run Android 10 and are going on sale globally starting Tuesday through Gearbest and Aliexpress e-commerce sites. POCO said it will soon begin selling the POCO F2 Pro on Amazon, Lazada, and Shopee among other e-commerce sites including its official website.
The dual-SIM card supported smartphone, a popular feature in several Asian markets, is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship octa-core Snapdragon 865 processor, coupled with Adreno 650GPU. POCO F2 Pro also sports what the company claims to be the largest vapor chamber in any smartphone to support LiquidCool, a technology that keeps the device cool even when a user is playing high-end games such as Fortnite and Pubg.
A total score of 589,983.
CPU Benchmark score of 184,817.
GFXbench Manhattan 4.0 benchmark score of 40.
Yes, the #POCOF2Pro is simply #PowerfullyCool! pic.twitter.com/KgyHJt2dI4
— POCO (@POCOGlobal) May 12, 2020
On the camera front, the POCO F2 Pro features a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor, which serves as the primary camera, with a 13MP ultra wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro and one 2MP depth sensor. The pop-up camera, that serves as the selfie sensor, is a 20MP lens. The rear camera setup is capable of recording videos in 8K resolution at 24fps, and 4K in 60fps.
The POCO F2 Pro, which comes in Neon Blue, Electric Purple, Cyber Grey, Phantom White colors, houses a 4,700mAh battery with support for fast charging and ships with a 33W charger in the box.
POCO listed a number of additional features that other flagship Android smartphones offer such as support for HDR10+, display brightness of 500 nits, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 that protects the screen, and an IR blaster. But its display lacks support for 120Hz refresh rate — as seen on OnePlus 8T Pro that makes viewing experience extra smooth.
POCO F2 Pro is the second smartphone from the company ever since it spun out of Xiaomi earlier this year. The company’s first product, called Pocophone F1, was launched in 2018 and was well received by the market.
At the time of the launch, Xiaomi executives said they had big plans for the POCO brand but never launched anything afterward. During the period the company also saw a big departure when Jai Mani, a senior product executive, left the firm. Earlier this year, the company launched the mid-range POCO X2 smartphone in India.
POCO executives today shared little plans on what the future hold for the firm. But assured that they are here to stay. “We’re back. It’s been awhile, but we are back,” said Angus Ng, a product marketing manager at POCO.

However, Poco backed by Xiaomi has launched a mid-range device back in February, this year, which is the Poco X2 smartphone. Xiaomi spinoff POCO’s F2 Pro undercuts Android rivals with low price and flagship features
POCO, a brand that spun out of Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi earlier this year, today launched the POCO F2 Pro smartphone as it kickstarts its new journey as an independent firm.
The POCO F2 Pro, like its two-year-old predecessor Pocophone F1 smartphone, punches above its price class. It features an all-screen 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display (with 2400×1080 pixels), in-screen fingerprint scanner, support for 5G, quad-core rear camera setup, and a pop-up front camera that quietly tucks away when not in use.
POCO said it will begin selling the POCO F2 Pro on Amazon, Lazada, and Shopee among other e-commerce sites including its official website in the coming weeks.
The dual-SIM card supported smartphone, a popular feature in several Asian markets, is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship octa-core Snapdragon 865 processor, coupled with Adreno 650GPU. POCO F2 Pro also sports what the company claims to be the largest vapor chamber in any smartphone to support LiquidCool, a technology that keeps the device cool even when a user is playing high-end games such as Fortnite or Pubg.
A total score of 589,983.
CPU Benchmark score of 184,817.
GFXbench Manhattan 4.0 benchmark score of 40.

POCO listed a number of additional features that other flagship Android smartphones offer such as support for HDR10+ video, display brightness of 500 nits, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 that protects the screen, and an IR blaster. But its display lacks support for 120Hz refresh rate — as seen on OnePlus 8T Pro that makes viewing experience extra smooth.

Poco X2 Launched In India
Tumblr media
After a lot of waits, Poco has finally launched its second smartphone in India. The Poco X2 was launched at an event in Delhi. The new Poco X2 brings quite a few improvements compared to the Poco F1 and comes with a very attractive starting price of Rs. 15,999. The device will go for sale starting February 11.
Commenting on the launch of the device, Manmohan Chandolu, General Manager, POCO India, said “The way users and fans have supported us throughout the POCO journey has been nothing short of incredible. POCO X2 is very much the result of feedback and requests from the POCO community. We’ve tried to maintain a sharp focus on what matters, and hence hope to meet POCO fans’ expectations with features like the 120Hz display, 64MP IMX686 camera and LiquidCool Technology with POCO X2.” He further added, “We will continue to make efforts to democratize decision making and continue to evolve; buyers and the community in general will get to see more examples as we move ahead”
Tumblr media
The Poco X2 features a 6.5-inch full HD+ IPS LCD display with a tall aspect ratio of 20:9. Unlike the Poco F1, there is no bathtub like notch on the Poco X2, which is a well-welcomed move. Instead of a notch, Poco X2 has a cutout at the top right corner for the dual-camera setup. However, the most interesting thing about the display is that it comes with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. And with that kind of refresh rate, Poco X2 is now the most affordable smartphone with a 120Hz display. The display is HDR 10 capable and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. On the back as well, Gorilla Glass 5 has been used to protect the back from scratches.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC, paired with Adreno 618 GPU and up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Here, this time Poco has decided not to go with a flagship SoC, but the phone comes with liquid cooling and there is also a second-generation Game Turbo mode. In terms of storage, the phone can have up to 256GB of USF 2.1 storage along with support for microSD card via the hybrid slot, so users can either pop in two SIM cards or a SIM along with microSD card into the hybrid slot for memory expansion.
In terms of camera, the Poco X2 has a quad-camera setup on the back that consists of a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor with an f/1.89 aperture. Along with that, there are three other sensors- An 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with 120º field-of-view (FoV), a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front as well, there is a dual-camera setup which consists of a 20-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The Poco X2 can record 4K videos at 30FPS and also slow-motion videos at 960 FPS.
Connectivity options on the Poco X2 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone runs the latest MIUI 11 out of the box based on Android 10. In terms of security, the phone offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with Face Unlock. The phone packs a big 4500mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging and the 27W charger is bundled with the phone. As per the claims made by Poco, the fast charger can charge the device from 0% to 100% in 68 minutes.
Poco has emphasized a bit on the strong community support and developer interest. Poco has also promised to release the kernel sources for Poco X2 along with initiatives to establish a direct connection with third-party developers.
In terms of pricing, the Poco X2 starts at Rs. 15,999 for the 6GB + 64GB variant. The 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs. 16,999 while the top variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variants is priced at Rs. 19,999. Additionally, buyers will be able to avail an additional Rs. 1,000 instant discount on ICICI credit card and EMI transactions. In terms of colors, the Poco X2 will be available in three color variants-Matrix Purple, Atlantis Blue, and Phoenix Red.
POCO X2 will start selling via Flipkart starting from 12 PM, 11 February 2020.

Poco X3 Pro Review: Good for gamers on a budget, but some good compromises too
The Poco X3 Pro brings true flagship performance at a very low price. However, does it make the right trade-offs to get there? Read our full review to find out.
📷📷📷📷📷 Rs. 18,999
📷 The perfect budget flagship phone is as much about the right mix of features, as it is about the right choice of compromises. You cannot bring flagship performance to mid-range prices without cutting some corners, and hence, what sets a good “budget flagship” smartphone apart is compromising on the right aspects. The Poco F1 from 2018 was a fantastic example of this. Now, in 2021, the revamped brand has made its second true budget flagship, the Poco X3 Pro, a phone that brings a top-notch processor around the Rs 20,000 mark and manages to do it while maintaining an impressive specification sheet. Check out the details below.Poco X3 Pro specs: 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate | Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 chipset | 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB UFS 3.1 storage | 48MP+8MP+2MP+2MP rear camera, 20MP front camera | 5160mAh battery, 33W fast chargingWe tested the Poco X3 Pro for about a week and here’s what we think about the phone.Design, build quality The Poco X3 Pro follows the design language of the Poco X3, which is not surprising considering they belong to the same family. You have the dual-tone finish on a plastic back and a big half-circular, half-rectangular camera bump that is made to look like a circular module. There is a big Poco logo on the back but it is subtle, unlike what we saw on the Poco M3.📷 The volume buttons and power button which doubles up as a really fast and accurate fingerprint scanner are on the right, while the SIM slot is on the left edge. The phone retains the IR blaster on top making it handy for those planning to use it as a universal remote with other appliances. Among the usual elements, at the bottom, we still find the 3.5mm jack which is good to see. Coming to the build quality, the phone is a solid build all around except the plastic back panel that feels really weak. Also, it vibrates almost as well as a second vibration motor in the device. This gets pretty evident when the phone is playing media at high volumes and while some may enjoy the extra sensation during gaming, it could become annoying for others.Display The Poco X3 Pro gets a great display just like the rest of the Poco X series. It is still an IPS LCD panel but a good quality one. Moreover, the phone’s brightness can get really low on the lowest level, allowing you to use this device comfortably in night.Viewing angles are great and so is colour reproduction. There is a centre-aligned punch-holer camera on the top of the screen. While we would have preferred a slightly less-distracting corner implementation, the large screen of the Poco X3 Pro doesn’t let the punch hole feel too intrusive.Camera The Poco X3 Pro comes with a good set of cameras on the front and back. Pictures we took with the phone appeared crisp and had great detail. Even though the sensor has taken a drop from 64MP to 48MP, when it comes to real-life usage, there is no “loss in quality”. However, pictures in indoor lighting did struggle a little to get the white balance right. Note that none of the lenses has OIS (optical image stabilisation) though the EIS (Electronic image stabilisation) works great.Coming to night mode, the Poco X3 Pro does a wonderful job at getting in more light and eliminating noise from pictures. Performance by the ultra-wide sensor is as expected considering the 8MP sensor. While images do get the wide-angle, they come out soft and are only usable during the day. However, the ultra-wide sensor can be used with night mode and that gives a little more usable results in the dark. The 20MP front camera takes decent pictures even in indoor lighting with crisp details. Macro shots and portrait shots are fairly average. Coming to video, you can record up to 1080p 60fps or 4K 30fps. With a high-end chip in the trunk, the phone makes features like Dual-Video possible where you can capture footage from both the front and rear camera at the same time.Check out our camera samples by clicking on the image below.📷 📷 Performance The vanilla Poco X3 Pro was already a good enough performer for day to day tasks. The Pro too, without
any doubt is capable of handling regular tasks easily. More than a handful of heavy apps at a time is not a problem for the Poco X3 Pro and it can run without any stutters or lags. Moreover, the Snapdragon 860 chipset brings out the best of the 120Hz refresh rate when it is turned on and hence, the phone feels much smoother, even with the relatively heavy MIUI 12 skin. That is no surprise when you realise the Snapdragon 860 is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 855 Plus, the same chipset that powered flagships like the OnePlus 7T series and the Asus ROG Phone 2.Gaming is clearly where the Poco X3 shines the most. The phone is pretty much made to bring quality gaming to the budget segment. With an 800-series processor and the Adreno 640 GPU, the phone is capable of handling the heaviest of titles with ease. With games like Call of Duty and Free Fire, you can max out your graphic settings and framerate. We tried a couple of Call of Duty matches at maxed-out settings and saw that the phone doesn’t heat up too much either, which was just great.Software The Poco X3 Pro comes with Android 11-based MIUI 12 out of the box and Poco should update the device to the newer MIUI 12.5 soon. MIUI 12 is not the cleanest skin out there and while Poco claims that there are no ads on the phone, we still have a lot of bloatware, most of which fortunately can be uninstalled. However, MIUI 12 has a lot of features on the software side, from its apps to the utilities that are baked into the interface. MIUI 12 is one of those Android skins that comes with a lot of weight to it, very much because of its feature-packed nature. On phones like the Poco X3 Pro, however, the processing power is good enough to carry the weight of the skin and as a result, the user experience is not harmed.📷 Battery life The Poco X3 Pro drops battery capacity to 5,160mAh, which is less than the 6,000mAh battery you get on the Poco X3. However, this is still good enough to give you over a day’s usage considering the phone’s larger screen size. If you game a lot on the device, which you likely will if you are getting this phone, expect to see faster discharge. Charging speed is great though and a full charge takes just over an hour. Note that we tested the phone with 120Hz on at all times and that you can always switch to 60Hz and get much more juice from the device.Verdict: Is the Poco X3 Pro for you? The Poco X3 Pro gets a lot right for its price. Recall what we said about making the right compromises. It is a device meant for gamers and power users on a budget and any aspect of the phone that would affect your gaming is not compromised. A fast chip, a great GPU, stereo speakers, headphone port, UFS 3.1 storage, the phone has it all. Even in other areas like the camera or battery life, the Poco X3 Pro performs above average in its segment.A few things could have been improved with the phone. A glass back would have reduced vibrations on the back, and the higher-end 8GB RAM variant could have bagged 256GB storage. A 4G chipset also means you lose 5G support when it arrives in India. However, for those not concerned with future-proofing their phone for years to come, you get a great deal with solid hardware components here, making this phone an easy recommendation

Poco X2 Flagship Killer Teaser Video out | Release Date | Price | Specs
Tumblr media
Xiaomi's sub-brand smartphone, the Pocophone F1, has overtaken the mobile phone industry in a few years and found that it must indeed be an affordable flagship smartphone. The smartphone-friendly result apparently surprised Xiaomi very much, as the company was disappointed to offer a repeat the following year. Now that the Pocophone is no longer overshadowed by Xiaomi, the independent brand is set to continue its approach of selling affordable flagship smartphones for the Indian market as well as for developing countries. The first device to come from the Sans-Xiaomi Pocophone is the Poco X2, and it seems that it could bring an affordable manifest.
Poco X2 branding and release date
There were previous rumors and speculation that the second generation Poco phone would be the Pocophone F2. It no longer seems as the company announced that its next iteration, the affordable flagship smartphone, will actually be the Poco X2. Poco did not stress the reason why it reduced the F1's popularity for its debut, but it is suggested at a glance on the early Specs sheet as it is not designed to be the successor to the Pocophone F1.
Tumblr media
We have a definite launch date for the Poco X2, which is scheduled for the official announcement on February 4, 2020, in India. However, we will see a release date two weeks after the launch.
The Design
All displays point to the Poco X2, which is positioned as the renamed model of the Xiaomi Redmi K30 4G. A product list for a Poco handset on the Indian BIS certification website shows that the X2 has the same model number as the Redmi K30 4G. In this case, we can expect a smartphone with a hole cutout on the screen for a selfie camera system with two lenses.   Poco X2 Specification The Pocophone F1 became famous in 2018 thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC - the same chipset that powered flagship devices a few years ago - one of the cheapest smartphones with this processor. However, if rumors and leaks are suspected, the Poco X2 will not reach the dominant position in this division. Since the Poco X2 is a revised Redmi K30 4G, it is a Snapdragon 730G SoC handset. This processor is designed for upper mid-range smartphones. The same SD730G chipset can also be found on Mi Note 10 and Realme X2. Rumor has it that the Pocophone X2 has a memory configuration of 6GB / 64GB as the base model, but we definitely expect more RAM and ROM configurations. The Performance Because the Poco brand appeals to the public and to lower the cost of smartphone production, the company sacrifices some key components to the performance of the Poco X2. The Redmi K30 4G is equipped with a 6.67-inch LCD display with a spherical hole in which the selfie shooter can be accommodated. Therefore, it should also be Poco X2. Poco has confirmed that the new X2 display has a refresh rate of 120 Hz for smoother animations. As far as biometrics are concerned, there is still no smartphone with an LCD display with a fingerprint reader under the display. We doubt that the Poco X2 offers a fingerprint reader with an integrated power switch.
Tumblr media
Photography For the photo department, the Poco X2 is expected to have a 64-megapixel IMX686 sensor on the back. In addition to the main sensor, the Poco X2 has an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor and a 2MP lens for depth of field. A 20MP + 2MP selfie camera is expected to be installed on the front of the Poco X2. The battery Xiaomi has put a statue on the battery capacity of its smartphones over the years, and it seems like this will be the case with the Poco X2. Poco has already put an end to the rumors and confirmed that the X2 will quickly avoid charging with 27 W. In fact, Poco uploaded a video clip that charges the X2 to 40 percent in 25 minutes. The Redmi K30 4G from Xiaomi is equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery. We hope that the Poco X2 has a similar component. Pricing and availability With the sale price and release date of the Poco X2, the sales factor of the Pocophone F1 was that you got the flagship chipset and RAM for $ 300. A recent Intel suggests that the Poco X2 for 6GB / 64GB memory configuration start at 18,999 rupees (~ $ 265). Still, it would be a great bargain to have a 120 Hz display and a powerful chipset. There are as yet no words regarding the pricing or availability of Poco X2 outside of the Indian market. However, Xiaomi is expected to own the Poco Read the full article
