The Pratt Miller Motorsports team earned their first win of the 2024 season and their first victory with the new Forgeline-equipped Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R platform, thanks to a dominating 1-2 finish at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. Sunday’s win for Pratt Miller Motorsports was their 13th win at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park and their 128th win throughout the team’s history.

Pratt Miller Engineering worked with the team at Forgeline Motorsports for several years to develop an application-specific version of Forgeline’s center-locking one piece forged monoblock SS1R-GT wheel that was engineered to deliver optimized performance metrics (in terms of mass, deflection, strength, and durability) specifically for the new Corvette GT3.R. Each Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06 GT3.R sold by Chevrolet anywhere across the globe will compete on 18×12.5/18×13 Forgeline one piece forged monoblock SS1R-GT wheels finished in Gloss Black.

She Loves to Cook, and She Loves to Eat

Finding love and beauty in the mundane

She Loves to Cook and She Loves to Eat (Tsukuritai Onna to Tabetai Onna) is a sweet josei/shoujo ai manga about Nomoto, a woman who loves to cook but worries about making too much, running into her neighbor, Kasuga, a woman who loves to eat good food no matter the amount. One day Nomoto gets stressed and makes too much food and offers some to Kasuga, who gladly accepts. While being a woman of few words, Kasuga deeply enjoys eating good food and doesn't hesitate to show it. Since then, Nomoto grows to enjoy cooking for her neighbor and eventually starts cooking dishes solely to have a reason to spend time with Kasuga. It's sweet and you get to see their love for one another grow slowly. 💐

There are a lot of things I love about this manga. Kasuga is a larger woman who loves to eat and it’s never played negatively.  Her character is never reduced to just being self conscious, she is simply someone who loves good food and wants to eat a lot of it.  While the overall tone of the manga is still lighthearted, Nomoto’s story also addresses how women’s passions are often minimized and only seen through the lens of how to attract men. She also directly pushes back against the idea that heterosexual relationships and romantic relationships in general are valued more by society than platonic ones.  In all of this, neither of them are ever shown as naive or insecure, they are both adults who actively choose to live the way they do and there’s nothing wrong with it.  

The biggest thing I love about this story though, is how they show appreciation for one another.  As working adults, it’s really easy to get lost in the monotony of every day. To go through the motions of life, but not really know what comes next. It’s scary, but at this point it’s up to you to find meaning in day to day life.  Much of how Nomoto and Kasuga bond is simply incorporating each other into their everyday life.  Because they want to. By eating dinner together, going to the grocery store and being reminded of their favorite foods, allowing the other a peek into their daily routine.  Their relationship is meaningful because they help each other find beauty in things they do every day. Being together makes them want to take the scenic route and get excited by fish prices at the farmer's market.  Because love is usually depicted in grand gestures, shifting the moon and earth for the person you love, but sometimes love is also adding someone to your Google calendar.

Progam Pemberdayaan Forum Anak Menuju Desa Digital Berkualitas Oleh Mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang Dalam Rangka Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat Oleh Mahasiswa (PMM) Bhaktiku Negri kelompok 32 Di Desa Pesanggrahan, Kecamatan Batu, Kabupaten Malang

Program Pemberdayaan Forum Anak Desa Pesanggrahan melalui sosialisasi teknologi digital, pengelolaan perpustakaan, dan pengajaran tilawatil Qur'an adalah kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh anggota Kelompok 32 Bhaktiku Negeri. Kelompok ini dipandu oleh Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan (DPL) Sofyan Arifianto, S.SI, M.Kom, dengan Ahyad Izzudin Syuhaiba sebagai ketua kelompok. Mereka didukung oleh Maylani Kusuma Wardhani, Rahmatun Nikmah, Shelly Kurnia Ulisyah, dan Hanum Zaqiah Permatasari. Tujuan kegiatan PMM ini adalah untuk mengembangkan inisiatif teknologi yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup dan akses informasi di desa, sebagai bagian dari upaya mencapai tujuan akhir Desa Digital Berkualitas. Desa Pesanggrahan, Kecamatan Batu, Kabupaten Malang, ditetapkan sebagai sasaran utama program kelompok 32.

Melalui upaya Program Pemberdayaan Forum Anak, kami bertujuan menerapkan program kerja kami agar Desa Digital Berkualitas bukan hanya mahir dalam teknologi, tetapi juga diperkaya dengan literasi yang mendalam dan nilai-nilai keagamaan yang kokoh. Dengan menyelenggarakan pelatihan kreatif menggunakan platform seperti Canva dan Microsoft Word, kami memahami pentingnya memastikan akses informasi yang mudah dan menghibur.

Selanjutnya, kami mengarahkan fokus kami pada memperbaiki dan merapikan data perpustakaan Desa Pesanggrahan. Tujuan utama kami adalah menciptakan perpustakaan yang lebih terstruktur dan memudahkan akses informasi bagi masyarakat. Dengan mengelompokkan buku-buku yang berantakan, menyusun rapi di rak sesuai dengan kode klasifikasi, serta mencatat informasi buku pada buku catatan khusus, kami berharap meningkatkan kualitas layanan perpustakaan. Kami percaya bahwa dengan memberikan akses yang mudah dan jelas terhadap koleksi buku, masyarakat akan lebih terdorong untuk memanfaatkan fasilitas perpustakaan dan mengembangkan minat baca. Tidak hanya itu, kami juga berkomitmen untuk mempercantik Perpustakaan Mayangsari Pesanggrahan agar menjadi ruang yang inspiratif dan menarik bagi pengunjung. Kami bertekad untuk mengubah persepsi mereka terhadap perpustakaan, bukan hanya sebagai tempat membaca, tetapi juga sebagai tempat untuk mengeksplorasi, belajar, dan merayakan keindahan literasi. Dengan menambahkan elemen-elemen artistik dan kreatif, seperti mural atau dekorasi tema yang menarik, kami berharap dapat menciptakan lingkungan yang memotivasi pengunjung untuk menghabiskan waktu di perpustakaan, sambil tetap belajar dan mengeksplorasi dunia pengetahuan.
