Thinking about the explorers of sky hero. How they were probably fighting for their life for as long as they could remember, just like Grovyle, Celebi and Dusknoir. How they thought they would never have a future. How they suddenly had a partner, a team, a family, a whole life ahead of them before learning who they were and what saving the world would mean for them - but they went ahead with it anyway. Always fighting, willing to sacrifice their own future for the future of others. And then the postgame says, you deserve to live. Even if you're being told that it's the right thing to do to sacrifice yourself, you deserve to live and you deserve to fight for your future. I might be reading too much into it, but... man i love this game.

I got a meme idea while playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky awhile back and finally got the energy to make it. Aside from the overuse of "Disappear" I'm still surprised the game got away with these kinds of themes

And a Pokemon Day variant to will a new PMD game into existence.

God I love Dusknoir. A character so scared of being forgotten he throws away his morals to complete his mission, what a guy.

I tried a different software for this one, Sketchbook, as I usually just draw with Paint net on my computer and use a mouse. Don't have a pen for the Ipad however so I had to draw this with my finger, yippee.

some context for the rhyperior thing: the first time I went into the darkrai fight I was super anxious for unrelated reasons and couldn't pay attention at all (got swept)

i am now officially obsessed enough to make a side blog for the content im going to be dumping on this

so yeah heres perth (personal character, cyn/quilava mid evolution, zangoose mix) and morg (totodile/croconaw mid evolution)

this game made me think about the relationship between me and my partner and how much it means to me so i had to scratch out some feelings

I headcanon Dusknoir to sound like Pericles from Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated. Both betray people and they work for a destructive god. But Dusknoir is acting out of fear and Pericles wants to become god.

the posts by @sincerely-sofie have inspired me to post goofy doodles of my own pmd explorers au, the one where the hero does not lose their memory and is just kind of lying about it the whole time. her pokemon name is ivory shes a totodile, and her partner is peppermint, the charmander in the first panel
