@parfaitofficial #perfectfigure #mothersday I was scheduled for my delivery, and despite the complications of several blood clots that developed in my left leg during the pregnancy, I was determined to labor naturally (as possible, given the induction). I labored for over 12 hours, and did not progress at all. My baby's heart rate stopped and I passed out, and after the scariest moments of my life, I was rushed into surgery to deliver my baby. It’s baffling that many women talk openly about their anxiety and depression; however lie about their alcohol intake. Y’all know what I’m talking about. Those forms you fill out in the waiting room before seeing the doc. Yep, that was me! 🤦🏼‍♀️ ⠀ ⠀ There’s options for medication, counseling services, recovery support programs, etc. ⠀ ⠀ My suggestion to you, get curious about your drinking. So much is routine, habits, and familiarity. We can’t make a change and break old habits if we’re not conscious of what they are. ⠀ ⠀ Direction is way more important than speed. Many people are going nowhere fast. Working at your own pace with a program you believe in is where the shift happens. Sleep Routines, lol

I have to admit, the sound of nap routines and sleep routines for your LO is appealing but not very realistic to me. I try to do the same thing with my son every day that we are home all day, but what happens when you have to go do things? I don't want to be that mom that's like "it's my kids nap time, can't go out"...🙄 if I need to go get something for the house, myself, my fiancé, or my LO I'm gonna get it whenever I feel like it lol. But at the moment my ten month old is waking FOUR to FIVE times at night and I have zero idea what to do. But the only thing I know to do is comfort him, not let him scream(how tf do you do that anyways) and try several things he likes til something works. Yeah I could get bashed for how I do this, but he's obviously teething and I'm going to do everything I can to comfort him. He's got another set of 4 coming in at a time 😩 I can only imagine how that feels. So any advice is greatly appreciated but I think we are doing right by our baby and that's all that matters.

I hate making resolutions for the new year. It makes me focus on the negative aspects of my life vs my accomplishments. In 2008, I realized the economy wasn't stable enough for me as a professional #makeupartist and While I made great money I needed something long-term. I decided to go back to school in 2009 and finish my degree in media and transitioned from a makeup artist to a beauty writer. I loved writing beauty and fashion but I also had other interests such as #publicrelations and #socialmedia. Being poor while in undergrad was a challenge; I was working, and interning while attending school full-time. I missed a lot of personal branding opportunities during the height of bloggers and influencers because I was just too poor. I endured a lot of personal loss, too. I lost my grandmother and best friend in 2014. I was depressed for quite some time after that. I had a hard time landing consistent work in 2015. 2016 was a good year for me professionally. 2017 mid 2018 was the worse for me professionally and personally. I was sad to lose so many people who I thought were my friends but if people can sell you out with little regard they weren't your friends to begin with. 2018 I have birth to my cupcake and started a new life I'm still learning to navigate. 2019 was all about settling into my new self and finding my confidence again. Stay At Home Mom(SAHM)

Being a parent is hard. Being a parent in 2017 is harder. You have the whole universe(it feels that way) looking at your parenting, judging, pushing you into Facebook groups you really don't want to be a part of but join because it makes you feel good when you can answer a question. Yeah, that's what I'm doing. Maybe I'm doing all these things because I'm bored, or lonely, or a mixture of both. But that's what being a SAHM is for me. Being lonely. Being bored. Staying up all night because I can't sleep with my fiancé working late hours and then being exhausted when your kid wakes up at the crack of dawn the next day so you have a slow day with your little one. I'm not saying I'm not grateful for this huge blessing, I definitely am, but it's hard sometimes! You want to try to do what's right by your child so you don't go as many places so you can keep a routine and cook all their meals from scratch so you know what's in them. Because honestly I feel horrible even thinking about trying to give my son frozen or fast food meals. And not to say that one day I might get over it and do it occasionally and I'm not saying people that do it are wrong... but I just can't. As these days go on I see myself living a life of habits and patterns that I never pictured myself doing. I also think maybe I still have my post partum depression lingering and I keep doing the same things cause I haven't had a break down doing it. Being a SAHM is different for everyone that's blessed enough to do it. This is my experience and if you're feeling the same way, girl you're not alone.
