There is something so special about having such a deep connection with a plushie that you not only find comfort in their company but feel the want and need to spoil them with tiny plush sized clothes and trinkets as well as care for them. Taking them on adventures big or mundane, spending evenings cuddle up watching shows or bringing them around the house to keep you company while you do chores, And when you feel down or having a horrible day they are just always there ready to love and comfort you the same way you do for them. 🧸

He’s here!! He has ears they’re just hiding lol. He looks like he just woke up because he literally just left the sealed plastic bag he’s been in for over 2 decades. I’ll get better photos of him later.

Look how different Uni looks! Her fabric has been so stretched out, ripped, stitched back up and replaced that she looks totally different. It’s hard to believe she once looked like this (but white).

This is Moss! 🐢🩷✨ Build A Bear got it so ✨right✨ with Snappy Sun Turtle! I'm thrilled to see a return to this type of fur. I've missed it dearly. Everything about Moss says, "soft" to me. ☁️ He reminds me of of warm breezes, gentleness, and cherished memories where I felt very contented in a quiet moment. He feels like a purehearted spirit. Thank you, Moss. 🌸🍃

Meet Orion!

Orion (he/they) is the newest addition to the sanctuary but Is already making fast friends with everyone! Hes an astronaut and space traveler but besides loving all things space he also enjoys, scrapbooking, learning new languages and cooking. He really dislikes staying stagnant for too long and is scared of the ocene. On his last work trip he fell in love with one of the locals living on the planet he was staying on. They are currently awaiting to reunite with his lover but space travel can be long of course so he's trying his best to be patient.

Over new years our favourite DC cafe, Little Red Fox, closed down pretty much out of the blue :( We have a big fox plushie family so fox-themed locales were special places! Some cute photos to remember it by:

It was the best cafe - I never bothered to take photos of the indoors, it was immensely popular so I assumed it would always be around. Apparently, the owners lived in California and were having health issues so it just wasnt feasible to run it anymore. Tragic but also the fate of most local joints.

Maximus is a weird thing. He’s shaped uneven and wonky (i think he looks like a rat, some kind of marsupial carnivore, and a lion. But he’s a tiger), what’s left of his stripes are the little dots on his head, his eye was lost so I gave him a button. But the weirdest part for me was that it took AGES to find out that he was made by / for a printer ink cartridge company. I was able to confirm the logo on his tag. I only found a couple photos of the products the company makes at all online. None of the toy tiger.

I was looking into the company for even some crumbs about him but I only found out that the company made toner and toner ink for printers and stuff, that the company was made in 2005 and died around 2015 (maybe?? I can’t read legal writing), and the brand name is now taken by a website that is “ a group for entrepreneurs and investors ” that looks sketchy. His tag says he was handmade in china.

I found Maximus at the secondhand store early 2023. I thought he was really scrongly but in a good way. Maximus had a hole going down his tummy that had been stitched up not so well. So I opened it up again and restitched it better. Maximus had weighted beans in his chest and I added a little extra in his tummy and front arms. I actually wanna add more so he feels like a floppy kitten :3
