/// end of the semester post again + long rant oops

I have an undefined extension for my paper but I self imposed a deadline for Monday night/Tuesday morning. I did this with the realistic thought of working on it Sunday night for a few hours (thinking I would be 90% done), and then working on it for a few hours Monday night (then being fully done). Wellllll I didn't work on it yesterday so now I gotta do everything in one night. I got to sleep at least all day, but I'm like,,,, so overwhelmed. I genuine could not work on my paper last night/this morning bc I was so anxious and depressed and tired and every time I mustered up the ability to just re reread my draft the babies needed food. I think I could finish it all tonight, but I'm going hiking/hanging out with a friend tomorrow morning so regardless of whatever happens, I won't get to sleep more than an hour or two. And the faucet still isn't fixed. I tried last night and the whole sink may need to be removed bc there's so much rust I can't tell if the raucet fused to the sink or the sink fused to the faucet. Anyways, me and my mom are fighting again bc she was discouraging me from doing anything last night in case it turned into a huge project (and ofc it did) and I couldn't handle it in one night and we would have to call a professional. Changing a faucet is pretty damn easy,, when there isn't like an INCH of rust surrounding the base. Well, i can change the sink myself (that part doesn't have any rust), but we just need to buy one and ofc our house has a giant single sink that may have been custom made so we would need to call a professional to resize our sink hole to fit in a new sink. But she needed to call to find out who sells our sized sink (if they do) so we know if we can just go buy a new sink I can change it, or we buy a new sink then call a professional. So she didn't do that. And that's understandable and everything bc she's busy, but the point is, I said I needed to at least attempt this faucet change last night bc when else would it get done???? (hint: it will not be done until at least Wednesday, realistically at the earliest Frday, probably this weekend). Plus in attempting it, I got to see it's impossible to change and we can reasses what needs to be done. She said we would just handle it tomorrow when its not the middle of the night, which in a deluded idealized world would be perfect, but she works until 3:30 and nothing would get done until 4, and then we have no time to really do anything huge before 5:30/6 when we waln the dog,, then put the chickens to bed,, then need to feed the kittens again, and now its dark out just like yesterday and wow nothing got done. This happens every project and I'm sick of her saying "tomorrow" and MONTHS of not YEARS go by and nothing gets done. I have to do it myself while I have time and energy otherwise it genuinely will never be done. My plan is to measure, buy a new sink and keep it in the box, call a handyman/plumber, then make sure the old faucet can't come out and then they just replace the whole thing. Even tho I can probably figure out how to do it myself (the sink easily unscrews), it would be difficult and I'd rather sleep lmao.

I'm also slaty bc the neighbor was over when we argued a bit last night, and they both "deal with teenagers" (but her son is....really bad and not comparable to me at all) so every time I voice anything or call my mom out or anything she rolls her eyes and the neighbor agrees and thinks I'm irrational. Like, the neighbor only ever hears testimony from my moms side so of course she will think I'm an ungrateful insensitive child who needs to chill bc she doesn't see how my mom doesn't follow through on anything she says will happen, and it's a cycle of this until I blow up and do everything myself for years. I'm 20, almost officially a grad student, I know I'm young but I am certainly in no capacity a child anymore. Especially if you consider the responsibilities and real world adult roles I've taken on since I was 15. Even if I was a child, moms arent god and 99% of the time they are at fault for something in the situation.

This week I got my 2 finals too, so hopefully after this paper is done TONIGHT, I can hang out with my friend, sleep, do my first exam, then go to work Wednesday, then work and take my second exam on Thursday, and then work and do the faucet fiasco Friday. Until then, I will still not be eating much bc its such a big issue to wash stuff in the bathroom sink. But I'm surviving -- I'm eating enough calories, it's mainly just in potato chips and popcorn and cashews.

Teaching Sanji how to make a meal he’s never heard of

Did this for randomly for fun, idk the idea hit me as i was drinking coffee at 5am. this is completely unrevised and unedited so its probably all over the place knowing my tired self.

Also a few of my irl friends know this acc and im suddenly im kinda hella embarrassed to post anything lmao

hrng theres always so much dialogue but im to lazy to add a background and stuff for a proper one shot aaaaa

it was a lazy day on the sunny

the next island was still quite a ways away so everyone was doing there own thing to pass the time

but you were feeling kinda hungry, so of course you call sanji over

arriving at your side in record breaking speeds he smiled as he grabbed your hand and kissed it

“how may i help you my love?”

you returned his smile and laughed

“im feelin kinda hungry, do you think you can make me something to eat?”

he seemed to glow at your request and nodded his head

“Of course i can y/n-swan! Do you have something in mind or should i just make the usual”

you tilted your head in thought as you thought of the dish

“Actually i do have an idea”

You told him the dish and expected him to immediately run off like always but instead he blinked

“Erm...can you repeat that please?”

Telling it to him once more, the blond frowned and closed his eyes in thought

“I don’t believe i’ve ever heard of this dish, do you think you can describe it?”

“Sanji, don’t tell me you’ve never heard of this dish before?!” you say, eyes wide with shock

And now he feels even more guilty than before

He knows that there are food and meals out there he’s never heard of, but now when your requesting one of them and he cant do anything about it? He feels awful

“I apologize y/n-swan. I’ll make you some--” you interrupt him by poking his chest “Nope you’re not gonna cook anything now”

This time he’s the one whos surprised

“Bu-” “Alright Sanji, today im going to teach you one of the best meals out there”

Grabbing his hand, you lead him to the kitchen with a smile

“Y/n-swan...you can cook??” “Of course i can! I may not be a pro like you are, but i know a couple dishes pretty well. Only reason you don’t ever see me in the kitchen is simply because im lazy. Plus i prefer your cooking more, feels like im eating food that only royalty deserves”

His heart seemed to explode at that, he quickly pulled you back into a tight hug

“Y/n-swaaaaan~! What did i do to deserve an angel like you?” you laughed and hugged him back equally as tight

Once you finally made it to the kitchen, the chef grew excited

Excited to learn a new dish, excited that you are the one teaching it to him, excited to taste his lovely s/o’s cooking for the first time

You turned to him and crossed your arms

“Alright, how do you want to do this? Do you want to do it while i explain the steps, or do you want to just watch me make it?”

He thought for a few moments. While he was tempted to do it himself, he really wanted to try your cooking

“I’ll watch you do the cooking, but i’ll help prep if thats alright with you. Just tell me what to grab and ill get it!”

You nodded your head and begun to list the ingredients

Throughout the whole process, Sanji was much quieter than you had initially thought he would be

Much less fawning over your actions, and more determination and focus as his blue eyes watched every little thing you did

Every now and then he would ask some questions or clarification but he didn’t say much else

Though actually, i think he would randomly give compliments to you while you cooked

Soon enough the meal was complete, and suddenly you became slightly self conscious about your cooking

“Alright Sanji, the plating is a bit messy, and the flavors are probably not up to your standards but-” “Nonsense. I’m sure it tastes amazing, after all you were the one to make it”

You sigh and place the dish in front of him

He inspects the dish for a few seconds, turning it around and smelling it, sometimes gave it a light poke or two before finally taking a bite

He closes his eyes as he chewed but they suddenly shot open

“This is really good!”

“Really? You don’t have to be nice you know, its fine if you dont like it” you say but he shakes his head

“No no, this is seriously really delicious! Amazing job y/n-swan! The seasoning is amazing and the texture is very nice, the flavor isn’t too strong or light its just right. This is a great dish that I will definitely try to make in the future”

You can’t help but get a bit flustered at the compliments

“Thats..thats very sweet of you to say thank you”

You lean over the table and kiss his cheek

From that alone he had to fight against getting a nose bleed honestly

“Now eat up, i believe you were the hungry one after all” he says and you nod

“Sure, lemme just grab another plate and fork and we can split it” you say but he quickly stands up “Here, let me grab it for you. Its the least i can do”

Standing up, he walks towards where the dishes and silverware is but pauses

“Instead of dirtying more things, how about you let me feed you?” he asks with a cheeky smile

You roll your eyes with a smile, deciding to indulge him of his request you nod

“You know what? Sure why not”

Later on he would practice the dish and have you taste it to see if it was correct/to your liking

Unsurprisingly, It only took him a few attempts to nail it

Another one to add his own flair to it and make it even better

And man, the proud grin he had when he served you this dish

Like many of his other dishes, he practiced it to the point where he could probably make this perfectly blind folded

He gives you a sincere thank you for teaching him a new dish

Will make it for you whenever you ask

But please make him more food, he absolutely loved your cooking and hope it wasn’t a one time thing

Meanwhile everyone UA aims to be number one and your goal is to save your sister from your pathethic brother.You also kept an low profile of yourself to hide your existence.

You actually ended up getting along with most of the class especially to Midoriya.You dont know why because he just gives the scent that you can trust him and he's a good person.

Also the girls in the class likes you because you respect them and also beat that little shit up by being a huge pervert.(if you know you know)

Time passes by and eventually their will be an upcomming event, the UA sports festival.Everyone in the class is excited meanwhile you are anxious, your identity will exposed and all your hardwork will go down the drain.

It does'nt matter,your much stronger and confident now.The sports festival came to an end and everyone gathered at the classroom for an sudden meeting. To be honest you did great on the event but you did not manage to get through the top 3 rankings.

You ended up getting an reccomendation to a hero agency.You accepted the reccomendation and it was basically for a month to get better and stronger.

Everything happened so fast, you ended up getting an reccomendation and accepting it and getting attacked by the villains.So UA decided to just make an dorm system to make sure that the students are safe at all times.

Aizawa announced that there will be an hero internship and you ended up getting back to the agency that trained you a few months ago.

Everyday is like usual you did multiple patrols, go to school to study and mostly can't sleep in the night.

You and so as the others like uraraka, tsuyu, midoriya, kirishima ended up being summoned at Nighteye's agency.

Their were many pro heroes as well your teacher, Aizawa is here.You can sense that the situation is quite serious and Midoriya and Mirio is acting weird and you can also sense fear in them.

You ended up not taking it anymore and sneaking out of the UA teacher dorm without anyone noticing.

You have no problem in making it through the base but you have to fight multiple of villains tho.You ended up seeing the sight of the ruined base and seeing your brother and Mirio fighting over the little girl.

"OVERHAUL!" you yelled in your booming voice as you've appear in the darkness wearing your hero suit .

"R/N?ah, so your alive?" he said in disbelief .

"Yes?so?my dear pathethic brother also known as overhaul."

"Too bad i shot him already." he said as he pointed at Mirio's struggling limp body as Eri just covered herself with his scrapped cape.

A few hours later you received the news that everyone in the Yakuza got arrested but Overhaul got taken away by the league of villains,Mirio ended up getting shot by the quirk destroying drug and ended up loosing his quirk.

Lastly sir nighteye got killed due to the bad injury that he got whilst fighting him.On the good side Eri was taken custody of and is doing well in the hospital together with Mirio and Deku.

You sighed in contentment and walked in your hospital clothes in the hallway trying to find her hospital room.

Your heart started racing and you saw the letter engraved "ERI" you finally mustered up the courage into opening the door.You saw Deku and Mirio playing with her

"Y/N - chan your here!" Deku said enthusiatically.

The little girl hids on her sheets when she thought that you were a bad person along with Aizawa.Mirio said that it is okay and you two are their teacher and a school mate.

A few weeks later she can finally get out of the hospital and ended up being in Aizawa's care in the teacher's dorm in UA.Since you trusted him you allowed him to take care of her.

You also take care of her when Aizawa is not around along with Deku and Mirio in the dorms.

The whole class is also shocked in how much your attitude and behavi reverses when Eri's around.They were like : 🧐,🤭,🥰,😍,🤩,😱 is that even possible HShsgsh.

You also learned how to cook and teach Eri how to read and learn you also play with her ofc.

You also became more confident, and a .Lmao the look on your face when bakugo called you an Tsundere.And you said in the most murderous voice ever "DIE." then Eri comes in like : 🙁🗿.

"I said i will DYE my hair later pink HAHAHHAHAH😃." you said jokingly.

Everyone was like : 👁️👄👁️ Meanwhile eri's just : yea im down with that face with a small nod and a smile***

Mina aswell as the others ended up taking the joke seriously and you ended up having a pink hair color the next day to school.

Monoma said that you looked pretty u̶g̶l̶y̶ he ended up getting beat up by kendo.(SHHSHSHEHE LMAO😂).

Shoto thinks it's cool HAHAHHAHA.

Eri said that she likes it and it looks nice to you.Iida and Aizawa lets you slide disobeying the school rules just this ONCE he just wants to see the little girl happy.

The reaction on your adoptive families face when you told them that you have a sister is priceless.They we're like : " i guess we need to adopt another one." S̶i̶k̶e̶.

Have u ever seen something so tired in ur life

He’s 100% that annoying person who REFUSES to get up no matter how many times you shout at him

Takes him 39 years to actually get out of bed and he’s hellbent until he gets some form of breakfast (thank u tetsutetsu for being the typical morning provider)

He’s the reason most of the morning dramas break out in the class. He argues with EVERYONE and it causes so many fuckin arguments there’s at least one every morning some1 restrain him

He’ll wake up exactly on his alarm, hopping out of his bed as awake as he’s ever been he’s so excited everyone plz give him a kiss

Once he’s up he’s up and he’s the biggest morning person in the house like he brings SO MUCH joy

It annoys the sleepy squad™️ but on the plus side he offers to make breakfast for everyone cus he’s always up so early so who rlly wins???

sleeps until he HAS to get up lmao he ain’t one of those “i’ll get up early to get breakfast and get prepared for the day!!” NAW he’s more like “don’t even enter my room til 10 minutes before class starts”

If you DO enter his room earlier than allowed he will end you. Like it’s one of the few times he gets really REALLY angry at people and u don’t wanna see him angry cus he can be a demon

He pretends he’s up when his alarm rings, but he’ll sit at breakfast letting his eyes shut every few minutes and it’s so easy to see how tired he is

He’s grumpy when he wakes up

If monoma or ANYONE even opens their mouth he glares so hard like if looks could kill lmao

He wakes up extremely tired: his hair a mess, pyjamas all ruffled, and he yawns 3 times per minute

Does he care though? No

Like fr an avalanche could hit the building and he still wouldn’t react heS SO SLOW

It takes him like 2 hours to wake up properly but the class find it adorable cus he has this croaky voice when he’s tired and they all LOVE IT

He wakes up every morning exactly 4 minutes before his alarm. He doesn’t know how to fix it

He’s learned to reap the benefits though cus these four minutes are his time™️ to get his life together for the day

He 100% sleepwalks

He’s that weirdo who does stretches in the mornings and drinks water to “fully energize himself”

In a good mood most mornings- just like he usually is tbh like they don’t affect him much

Honenuki went into his room one night to grab a charger and found him just,,,sitting there

She is literally the defiance of logic in the mornings

10pm will hit and she’ll be snoring on the sofa, then after her 9 HOUR SLEEP she’ll wake up for school, more tired than anyone in the class

She just makes confused noises til class starts

She’s tired but mom gotta work so she forgets abt it 😤

A little moody in the mornings, and it’s not a rare sight to see her arguing with a grumpy monoma or awase

ADORABLE SLEEPY ANGEL

shes the only one monoma can stand in the mornings cus you just CANT be mean to her

Always has her hair in plaits to make it wavy and wears matching pyjamas every night

She literally is an angel she’ll wake up with a croaky “good morning everyone” and start her day with smiles and happy thoughts

Definitely a morning person she cheers everyone up

She gets up at 5:45am every single morning to meditate and do yoga

Always the first one up

She’ll come outside the dorms and watch the sunrise in the summer with a cup of tea and her own company- if this doesn’t happen she goes from angel to demon in minutes

Ship: DabixHawks (surprise surprise)

Summery: This is just me writing about Dabi getting Hawks addicted to smoking lmao cause like I’ve said before I CANT FIND ENOUGH FICS ABOUT THIS so here we go

there is like no plot- I dont have the talent for that lmao

Warnings: Smoking/ mentions of other drugs

“That can’t be good for you,” Hawks said glancing at Dabi who blows smoke rings on the coffee table. Hawks wasn’t one for partaking in smoking addictive chemicals like nicotine but his boyfriend enjoyed it quite a bit. Even before they started dating Dabi was already smoking daily, almost a pack a day if he was bored.

Tapping the ashes into the tray Dabi shrugs, “I’m here for a good time not a long time.”

“How are your lungs not,” Hawk pauses watching Dabi inhale the cigarette once again, “How are they still working?”

Dabi laughs, this time blowing the smoke into Hawks face which caused Hawks to cough; glaring at Dabi he stands up and opens the two large windows in the living room. Dabi smiles and opens the carton and pulls one out, “Wanna try?”

Hawks looks at Dabi and rolls his eyes, “Dude you can’t be serious?”

Dabi waves the unlit cig in his hand, raising an eyebrow he blows more smoke in Hawks direction, “You don’t want to try?”

“I don’t want to become controlled by something stupid! Plus I’m a hero, I have to keep up an image,” Hawks rambles. Dabi hums and smothers his cig on the ashtray and sits on the leather couch. He lightly pats the cushion next to him with a smile.

“Is that all you’re worried about? I mean I won’t force you if you don’t want to but trying it once won’t hurt anyone,” Dabi states twirling it between his fingers.

Hawk bites his lower lip and stares at his boyfriend, “what if I become addicted to it? I’ll end up smelling bad and--”

“Oh my god,” Dabi sighs, “just come over here and sit down.”

Hawks reluctantly came over to the couch and sat down. He wanted to try just once to say he’s done it, he really did! But the last thing he wanted was to have something else control him, “I don’t know about this,” Hawks says.

“Oi,” Dabi grins, “like I said you don’t have to this if you’re that freaked out about it. Although, you’ve done worse.”

He was right, Dabi has introduced many things into Hawks life, he’s been high before and even gone on trips. Trying something like this shouldn’t be a big deal. Hawks nods, “You’re right, I’ll try it.”

“Perfect,” Dabi scoots closer to Hawks and hands the cig over, “just act like it’s a blunt.”

Hawks lifts it up to his mouth and Dabi snaps his fingers to light it. Hawks inhales slowly, allowing the smoke to invade his body. The burning sensation wasn’t as strong as it was when he would smoke a blunt. He exhales the smoke and looks over to Dabi who takes the cigarette from his hands and puts it to his own lips. Hawks blinks a couple times, there was this nice fuzzy feeling radiating throughout him.

“Wasn’t so bad, hm?” Dabi says flicking some ash into the tray, looking back to Hawks who just stares at the cigarette in his hand, “Do you want some more?”

“I- I don’t know,” Hawks mumbles.

“Here, you can have some more. It felt good right?” Dabi says placing the cig in Hawks mouth; Hawks inhales once again, unsure of what to feel himself. He did feel good yes, but he didn’t want to be controlled by some paper stick.

Dabi watches in amusement has his boyfriend finishes the rest of it, he knew that he could get Hawks to try anything after he convinced him to try other harder drugs before. He knew it was wrong to peer pressure but, it was so fun watching this pro-hero fall slowly into everything he fought against.

“That was’t as bad as I thought it was,” Hawks states crushing it on the tray. He wasn’t expecting to smoke all of it but he couldn’t stop himself, but that didn’t mean he was addicted. It couldn’t be, he was just finishing what was given to him.

“Right? I don’t know why you made it such a big deal, and look you feel good right now don’t you? You like the fuzzy feeling, I know you do,” Dabi says.

“I feel more...relaxed?”

Dabi hums in approval and stands up, “Glad you enjoyed it.”

A week passes and Hawks finds himself at his boyfriends house once again. They didn’t see each other everyday due to hero and villain business, but found time to hangout occasionally. Hawks was a bit disappointed after the fuzzy feeling left him that day but he refused to ask for another one just feel it once again. Dabi however, knew he was going to ask for more sometime soon. Hawks was a sucker for anything that made him feel good. Just like Dabi was, although, Hawks was used to doing everything legally. Drinking until he felt that familiar buzz he loved, having casual sex with anybody just to feel good. Dabi opened the doors to uncharted territory. Hawks was hesitant at first when he would see Dabi bring out small pills or random powder in a bag for Hawks to try but after awhile he would try it, his excuse being ‘I just want to say I’ve done it’.

Dabi was standing on the porch looking down at the busy street while smoking away his stress as usual. For Dabi, most of his fun came from watching his boyfriend do things he used to swear about but because of recent events he hasn’t been able to slowly coax an addiction into Hawks like he wanted.

“Why are you standing out here? It’s chilly,” Hawks says stepping out onto the porch. Dabi turns to Hawks and grins, motioning him over.

“Just people watching, I mean because of the shit that Toga pulled earlier today we are forced back to staying low for awhile so this is the most I can do,” Dabi sighs flicking some of the ash over the edge. Hawks glances at the cigarette in Dabi’s hand. The sudden wanting has him confused, he wanted to have that feeling again but if he smoked again would that make him addicted? He wasn’t relying on it to focus or anything so technically he wasn’t addicted. Right?

Dabi notices the quick glances to the cig and he brings it up to his lips slowly, watching as Hawk’s eyes followed. As he inhales the smoke, the familiar orange embers light up and he leans forward to blow the smoke in Hawks face.

Hawks coughs, waving his hand around to blow the smoke away, “Can you not blow that shit in my face?”

He refused to admit that the wanting grew larger because of what Dabi just did.

“Whoops,” Dabi says extinguishing the rest of the cigarette. He notices the hint of disappointment wash over Hawks. It was only for a second though, he perked back up when Dabi opened the carton again to pull another one out.

“Another one? You just got done with--”

“What can I say? I’m stressed,” Dabi says lighting it up he looks over to Hawks and holds out his hand, “you want some?”

Hawks mind was practically screaming at him to take it right now, he wanted to fuzzy feeling back. He pushed his urges down and takes the cigarette out of Dabi’s hand, “I’ll have a little...”

Dabi has to hide the smile creeping onto his face when he sees Hawks physically relax once he takes the smoke in. Hawks almost welcomes the slight burning feeling he feels once the smoke hits the back of his throat. Once he exhales he quickly passes the cigarette back to Dabi who tilts his head.

“You don’t want anymore? You sure?”

Hawks nods quickly and stares at the street below them, he felt the fuzzy feeling but it was only for a quick second. He wanted more. But, he didn’t want to give into his urges, “Y-yeah I’m fine...I don’t want anymore.”

“I want to try something,” Dabi says. He brings it up to his lips and inhales deeply, allowing a large amount into his mouth.

“What are you--”

Dabi quickly blows the smoke into Hawks mouth, Hawks gasps when Dabi pushes him against the patio wall allowing some of the smoke to seep its way to his lungs. Dabi returns to his spot on the rail and smiles at Hawks who has smoke swirling out of his mouth, “I always wanted to try that with you, are you mad?”

Hawks shakes his head slowly, “I’m not mad.”

Dabi reaches out his hand once again, “Finish this.”

“I-”

“Don’t worry it’s not that big of a deal remember? You wont become addicted over something so small,” Dabi says. Hawks slowly grabs it out of his hand and Dabi nods in encouragement, “Go on...I know you want to.”

When the smoke invades Hawks mouth once again he could barely feel the burning sensation. He looks over to Dabi who just smiles, taking out yet another cigarette from the pack.

Hawks exhales, he could feel the fuzzy feeling slowly creeping back to him, “Why are you taking out another one?”

Dabi shrugs, “I wanted to smoke with you.”

Dabi could hardly hide his excitement, he almost has Hawks where he wanted him. Hawks loved feeling good...he would have to eventually go with his urges. The two of them stand in silence, the only noise being the people on the street below them.

Hawks really liked the fuzzy feeling whenever he would smoke. Hes only had two cigs but even then, the urge only grew bigger and bigger. So when Dabi came over to his house with one lit in his mouth he could hardly contain his excitement. By now Dabi knew that Hawks was already at his limit, he purposely avoided him for a couple days. Knowing that Hawks wouldn't dare to go buy some himself because of his image.

“Dabi.” Hawks says his leg bouncing up and down.

“Yes?” Dabi walks over and sets his ashtray on the coffee table.

Hawks bit his lip and and kept glancing at the ashtray, “Can I have some?”

Dabi smirks, “Of course you can.”

Dabi opens his pack handing the entire thing over, Hawks looks down and takes one out. Twirling it around before looking back to Dabi who has a lighter in his hand, he hands it over and leans back on the couch. Watching Hawks flick the lighter and lighting the cigarette on his own.

Hawks felt everything wash away once the smoke went into his mouth. Although he hated to admit it, he enjoyed the feeling and everything with it. Sadly the fuzzy feeling didn’t hit him as quickly as it used to. He was confused, normally after around four times he would start to feel it.

He inhales deeply this time, trying to chase the fuzzy feeling which he longed for. The smoke slowly leaves his lips with disappointment when he couldn’t feel it. He taps the ash on the ashtray and brings it to his lips again.

Inhale. Exhale.

Hawks kept a steady pace, and sure enough he reached the end of it. He was relaxed sure, but he was just now starting to feel the fuzziness. He could ask for another, but that would be weird considering that he just had one. Dabi notices the troubled look on Hawks face and has to stop himself from laughing.

Dabi gave Hawks one with less nicotine than normal, same brand just specialized ones for those trying to quit. He was waiting for him to ask for another. So when Hawks turned awkwardly to him, Dabi tried hard to hide his smile.

“What is it?” Dabi asks.

“Is it...okay if I have another one?”

Dabi opened the other pack, he always carried three on him. Each pack having different levels of nicotine depending on how he wanted it. He opened the pack that he knew contained the most. With this, he will be hooked beyond his imagination.

“Did that one not do it for you?” Dabi asks handing him the other one.

“I mean I’m relaxed,” Hawks pauses before sighing, “I just didn’t feel that fuzziness like I normally do. This doesn’t mean I’m addicted though! I just wanted to feel it.”

“Of course. You just like the feeling...doesn’t mean that you’re addicted, now go on. I’m sure you will feel something if you have that one,” Dabi lights this one for Hawks. Seeing this pro-hero at the mercy of a simple cigarette had Dabi on cloud nine.

When Hawks inhaled this time, he was immediately hit with the fuzziness he’s been longing for all this time. He could hardly keep the smile off of his face as he leaned back and exhaled toward to ceiling, “This one is so much better.”

“I could give it to you if you want. I have plenty at home,” Dabi offered watching Hawks inhale once again.

The fuzzy feeling with this one cig was hard, it wouldn’t leave him as fast as the other times. He exhales slowly and nods, “Can I?”

“Of course, you can keep the lighter too. I’ll bring over a new pack whenever you want. Or you could just buy them yourself,” Dabi says setting the pack on the coffee table.

“I’m not addicted right?” Hawks asks taking in more smoke.

“You just like the feeling don’t you? Doesn’t mean that you’re addicted,” Dabi reassures Hawks.

“Yeah...I just like the feeling that’s all!”

THE DANCE L I S T E N i was PLANNING on trying my hand at gifs but i was impatient and we all know that pictures WILL NOT do this choreography justice but AS ALWAYS THEY COME THROUGH WITH SOME GOOD ASS CHOREO it doesnt hit as hard as their other dances but that doesnt bother me- there was a lot of Hands™ like a lot of emphasis on the hands and gestures (will mention more later) UUUUUM the dancing during the chorus with so much arm swinging and they all hit the air so hard with their elbows and fists i could really just feel that energy?? like all the effort and power they put into their dancing and to give it their all???? aka i feel tired just watching them dance

Request: Can you do a William Nylander one where you’re tougher and you hide you’re pregnant from him. He finds out somehow. He gets really really mad but it all ends up ok in the end? 😘

Notes: Wow this became way longer than i anticipated sorry lmao. As always, I hope you like it! Let me know what you think :)

“FUCK YES!” You screamed, jumping up from the couch and wildly punching the air in celebration. The Toronto Maple Leafs had just won game 6 with a final score of 1-3, effectively forcing a game 7 and you couldn’t be prouder of your boyfriend and his team. You were a little disappointed that you weren't able to see this game in person, especially given that it was the last home game of the series, but you knew that what you had done instead was more important. You had spent the first period of the game watching from your phone, trying not to yell at the players in the middle of the OB/GYN’s office you were sitting in.

After about a week of anxiously peeing on every drug store pregnancy test you were able to sneak past your boyfriend, you were finally able to make an appointment to have an official test done by actual licensed medical professionals. Unfortunately, however, they weren’t able to get you in until about two weeks later. Which was exactly one day before the first game of the playoffs. It barely took any time at all for you to draw the conclusion that there was no fucking way you were telling William about this now, not during the playoffs. He had more than enough on his plate and, frankly, you were pretty terrified of how he would respond to the news. At least, if you waited until after the playoffs, you would be able to pack up your stuff and leave without it catching the eye of the public. It didn’t seem like a huge possibility that it would actually come to that, but throughout your life, you had learned fairly early to always expect the worst. At your first appointment, you had discovered that you were, in fact, pregnant and had been for almost 2 months. You were honestly blown away that it had taken you this long to notice, but you had missed periods due to stress before and it wasn’t like these past few months were particularly calm, so it kind of made sense. Because of the high-stress nature of your life and the unpredictability of your schedule, your doctor had asked you to schedule a follow-up appointment a couple weeks later in order to form a routine check-up schedule.

The nurse practitioner had given you a weird look when she noticed you watching a hockey game on your phone during the ultrasound, but you weren’t in a position to go around telling stranger that you were pregnant with William Nylander’s child, so all you could do was smile sheepishly and ask for 3 prints of the ultrasound pictures. After your appointment, you had immediately called your two best friends and asked them to meet you at your house to watch the remainder of the game together. During the second intermission, you casually reached into your pocket and nonchalantly laid one of the strips of photos on the coffee table in front of you. It had taken the two a second to realize what exactly you had just placed in front of them, but once they did the pair were immediately jumping on you and screaming directly into your ear. You laughed loudly as the three of you began to roll around on the floor, shaking each other out of excitement.

“Why didn’t you tell us you had another appointment today? We would have come with you, bitch!” Brooklyn chirped, pushing your shoulder gently but with an ounce of genuine hurt in her eyes.

“I’m sorry! You know I love you guys but… if I cant have Willy there then I’d kind of just rather do it by myself, ya know?” You said with a shrug, looking down at the floor. “Plus, I didn’t want a repeat of last time,” you blushed, remembering the look on the Nurse’s face when the three of you showed up with your hands intertwined, asking for a pregnancy test. In retrospect, the conclusion she had drawn was justified, but the implication of the three of you being in a polyamorous sapphic relationship had become a running joke throughout the past few weeks. The three of you began to settle down as the game continued as you jumped back into your enthusiastic —and occasionally infuriated— commentary.

You smiled as you heard the front door open a few hours later, after the game has concluded and your excitement from the win died off, you and your girls had turned on some mindless reality show and began filling each other in on everything that had occurred in your lives since the last time you all were able to hang out alone together. You quickly untucked your feet from under the couch cushion and moved to get up, letting out an audible gasp as the room started spinning and your legs fell out from under you as soon as you stood.

“Babe!” William immediately rushed over to you, gripping both of your elbows and helping you to the couch with a worried look on his face. “Are you alright? He questioned, “What just happened?”

“I’m sure it was nothing, love, I just stood up too fast, that's all,” you lamented, brushing his hair out of his face and pressing a kiss to his forehead with a soft smile. He let out a sigh of relief and pressed his forehead to yours with a smile as he looked deeply into your eyes.

“Okay,” he breathed, letting his eyes fall shut for a moment before pulling back and pressing a kiss to your nose before turning to greet your guests. As he leaned over to hug Steph, Brooklyn leaned over to whisper in your ear. The issue was— Brooklyn had never really mastered the art of actually whispering anything, in fact, you were pretty sure her voice was louder whenever she tried to whisper.

“Are you sure it didn’t have anything to do with th-“

“Brooklyn!” You yelled, quickly cutting her off before she could ruin everything.

“shit,” Steph said from your other side, realizing the weight of what Brooklyn may have just done.

“Anything to do with what?” William questioned, furrowing his eyebrows as he turned towards you.

“The Chinese food we ordered!” You hurriedly supplied, gesturing to the leftover takeout containers on the coffee table. “We tried a new place and I was pretty sure the Crab Rangoon tasted funny,” you shrugged, hoping that he would believe your lie.

“What are you talking about?” He said, even more confused now. “We always get Wall of China,” he spoke, picking up the bag that was resting on the edge of the table. The second the bag left the table however, William froze and stopped speaking.

“…Willy?” You questioned, unsure of what would cause him to react in such a way. It took you a few more seconds until your eyes flickered down to where he was staring and you caught sight of the rope of pictures you had left sitting there, out in the open, in the middle of the living room. ‘Fuck,’ you thought, ‘fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck’, you repeated. There was no way you were going to be able to get out of this now. Your fucking name was on the top of the pictures, for fuck's sake.

“Will…don’t freak out,” you spoke gently, stepping closer to him and reaching out to lay your hand on his shoulder. As soon as your fingers got close enough to brush the fabric of his suit, however, he violently jerked away from you with a betrayed look in his eyes. You saw your friends discreetly move towards the front door out of the corner of your eye as William continued to back away from you.

“Don’t- Don’t freak out? Are you fucking kidding me?! That's all you have to say to me right now?” He questioned wildly, his features becoming contorted with anger. “You’re fucking pregnant. And you didn’t tell me. You’re fucking pregnant enough to have pictures and go to appointments and tell your fucking friends and you didn’t FUCKING TELL ME?” He screamed, spit flying from his mouth as he threw the pictures back down onto the coffee table, raking his hands through his hair violently while spinning around the room, trying to look at literally anything except for you right now.

“William I just didn’t think it was the right ti-“

“That's not your place to fucking decide, (Y/N). Its my fucking kid too and I had right to figure out the moment you did! I can't fucking believe you!!” He continued yelling, this time stalking closer to you until he was close enough to you that you could feel the air punctuating every word as he screamed into your face.

“This is exactly why I didn’t fucking tell you, you asshole!” You screamed right back, unwilling to let him try to demean you for doing what you thought was best. “I knew you were gonna fucking react like this and I didn’t want to have to deal with packing up all my shit while you were in the middle of fucking playoffs! I thought this was the goddamn last thing you needed on your plate right now but ex-fucking-scuse me for actually thinking about anyone other than myself for once! Maybe you should take notes, jackass.” You finished, punctuating the end of your argument by slamming your shoulder into his as you moved to the kitchen to grab your keys so you could go to a friends house for the night. You whirled around as you felt his hand encircle your wrist, immediately ready to stand your ground. The look on William’s face had you faltering and the fire immediately left your eyes as you noticed the tear running down his face.

“p-packing up…?” He questioned softly, “you- you’re leaving me?” His voice broke as he forced out the sentence, each word punctuated with a sob as additional tears streamed down his face.

“Baby,” you started, feeling the walls you had forced up start to cave as you watched your boyfriend try, in vain, to force himself to stop crying, only succeeding in working himself up further. “Only if that's what you want.” You finished lamely with a shrug, unsure of where this was going.

“Wh-Why would I want you to leave?” His tears ceased as confusion took over his soft features once again.

“Cause! You’re 21! You’re at the pinnacle of your career! You barely have time to breathe let alone for me and a fucking baby, William. It wouldn’t be fair to you, or to the kid, to force either of you into that,” You took a breath to calm yourself down. “I know what it feels like to have a dad that doesn’t wanna be there. And I know what it feels like to have a mom that doesn’t have time for you,” your voice thickened despite how hard you were trying to force back the tears you could feel approaching. You rolled your shoulders back and removed your wrist from his grip, you made eye contact with him and prepared yourself for what was to come. “I know what that feels like and I swear to god I will never put my kid through that. Ever. Regardless of what it costs me,” you said firmly, desperate to hold onto what little composure you had left.

“our,” William said, collecting your hands into his once more, despite your efforts to pull away.

“What?” You questioned, not understanding what he was trying to say.

“you said ‘my kid.’ It's not just your kid, its out kid. And I’m not going to put our baby through that either, regardless of what it costs me,” he insisted, pulling your hands to rest on his chest as he wrapped his arms around your waist. “I’d give up the Leafs. I’d give up hockey. I’d give up breathing. Fuck, (Y/N). I love you. And I love our baby. And no matter what happens or what comes, nothing is going to change that. Ever.” He insisted, pressing a kiss to your forehead as he used his thumb to wipe away the tears that had begun to slide down your face.

“I love you too,” you laughed through your tears, your heart filling with relief that you were lucky enough to have fallen in love with a human being as genuine and kind as the one standing before you.

“and we love you,” William spoke, moving your joint hands to rest just above your belly button.

“That we do,” you whispered quietly, stroking your hand through his hair as his thumb rubbed circles into your stomach.

Oh Wow! Im finally here with a headcanon birth chart and analysis for jamie!

i'm on mobile so I cant even put this long ass post under a read more i am so fucking sowwy but anyways a lot of this was inspired from dewmie-in 's meta posts and also i rlly love astrology so pls follow them first of all or else ur a fake fan shhfhgjsjkfkd

☀️ ♓︎ Pisces Sun ♓︎ ☀️

There is no doubt that Jamie is a pisces sun. Some of the well known characteristics of a piscean are being the artistic ones, the ones more in touch with their emotions and the absolute dreamers of the zodiac, I can assure you this as a mercury and moon piscean!

And it’s quite obvious that these traits 100% match up to jamie’s surface character being a big theater nerd, writer, poet, and as an actor, he HAS to understand emotion in all its forms! While being the more compassionate of signs, that also comes with sympathy, and maybe even empathy.

to which he expresses when he tells steven that a good story with a quality protagonist HAS to include said protagonists struggles as well, now this might be a reach but perhaps this was self projecting after his own struggles in kansas, maybe even foreshadowing ooOoOh

One of the biggest desires for any libra placement is balance, And the moon sign being the emotion sign, Libra moons desire an emotional balance as much as they do in their environment. Libra Moons can also be known as a “people person” while typically depending on the study of others to lean their own nature.

Jamie fits the Libra moon description being a sort of people person himself. Though he’s capable of keeping a friendly conversation with just about anyone, There’s also no doubt that this guy has severe anxiety that affects his communication with others along with his emotional stability (even affecting him physically). The thing is that he’s managed to keep the anxiety and his social skills much more balanced the more we see him or i guess as time passes, not one of them overpowering the other. So while there are several moments of him maintaining an emotional balance he also has another side of the scale that’s less balanced (astrology word play lmao) such as a general lifestyle balance, also nonexistent for jamie (even though your lifestyle heavily affects your behavior) in a sense that he lacks of a healthy sleep schedule being a mailman AND an actor, one occurring from the early morning to the afternoon and the other job occurring at night. Probably irrelevent but its MY sleepover and Ill add as much necessary info in this birth chart reading as i please.

Im also including buddys book as an example because though it was only jamie being the faceclaim for buddy theres no denying that since historical friction theres at least some parallels between the two characters sharing the same traits (being writers, returning to beach city to prosper in their careers, being absolute drama kings)

One of the biggest aspects to Jamie’s character INCLUDES being an absolute sucker for romance so lets get this bread and talk abt his relationships w/ everyone and his views on love uwu

Scorpio being a water sign means healing is one of the largest aspects to the sign. Healing nonetheless comes with a relation to trauma being from the planet representing death itself. Life and Death go hand in hand to define each other, ya feel me.

while were on the topic of death lets bring back the parallelism between jamie and buddy thats been around since historical friction. in the play buddy is presumed dead up until william reaches beach city. ok. so hear me out. perhaps that was foreshadowing for jamie’s traumatic near death encounter with topaz and aqua. remember how I said the water element represents healing as well as trauma??? It all kinda ties in yall...

ANYWAYS It’s safe to say that Jamie is a person that’s been through his rock bottom AND trauma already (his death if you will), struggling to live a happy, or even regular (lets face it as far as we know the only thing he came back to beach city with was sunglasses, bitch was broke) life in kansas, the abduction, its not something you can heal from overnight. While he does show symptoms of severe anxiety (to say the very least) even after the abduction he’s also grown closer to working on healing, moving on from his overwhelming fear of rejection by prospering in theater (him coming back to life if u will), and as for anything directly related to the abduction is unknown, but its very likely he’s working on moving on from that on his own as far as we know!!

which brings up the next trait of a scorpion venusian! They prefer to be a mystery in order to protect themselves as a result of fear of getting hurt for trusting/opening up too much. The first time we see jamie since the abduction is during the re-election in dewey wins, where he doesn’t seem affected at all. Yes, Jamie is a pretty open book for the most part (see dewmie-in’s analogy to in/out of the closet in historical friction) however theres also moments where he limits himself, or perhaps another side to himself, a far more passionate side…

Holding back tears during his drama zone and waiting until hes alone to be excited abt delivering his letter in love letters, playing it cool when earning theater director position in historical friction, not to mention his room SHOULD play a very huge role in his secretive side. (see brodingle’s post on jamie’s room, his casual side vs his passionate side)

the venus in scorpio (or any scorpio placement rlly) also remains a secret not truly by choice, but theyre also studying others of interest. being an actor, Jamie should know a thing or two on body language and raw emotion as he sees it.

And finally, The venus is scorpio is a devoted, passionate, and emotionally attached lover. in love letters he falls for someone easily, and even if he learned in the end love at first sight isnt real he is most definitely the type to fall easily based on emotional connection alone! Also, his fear of rejection can easily play into his love life as well. Being in kansas getting constantly rejected and returning back home out of not just defeat but most likely homesickness as well. He missed his stable job. he wants stability, loyalty, commitment! yeah ok thts all i got for now ladies!

Mars being the planet of impulsiveness, energy, initiation and “doing it” being born under the sign of doing it efficiently and orderly gives a handful of traits that completely match up to Jamie and the way he puts out his energy into the world

Jamie has been the type to not just instantly put his energy into something new, but he’s also put his energy into mastering said thing! While Mars is the planet of impusiveness, Virgo is the sign of patience, the Virgo mars is a firm believer of practice makes perfect, and striving for overall perfect, which does in fact get overwhelming for Jamie the perfectionist.

In historical friction, though hesitant, he was not afraid to critique and analyze dewey’s writing skills. And although he was anxious again to go against deweys script and use pearls version instead, he went with pearls because he desperately needed to execute his first play flawlessly. this also occurs again in letters to lars, when his improv performance doesnt go as planned he doesnt just end it from there, in fact, he still has that sense of patience to critique his cast members on stage before getting completely irritated when they dont comply. imo its important to note this duality of patience and impulsiveness because this is an anxiety inducing combination that heavily matches up to Jamies energy.

it’s also important to bring Jamie’s room back in this, because while it was creepy as shit its also FILLED with books, and has really fancy stationery meaning he is in fact a writer. The Mars in Virgo is an attentive to detail oriented person, and being a writer, Jamie not only reads others’ works, he records his own with plenty of detail as seen in his love letter to garnet. Its in his nature by now to have an eye for detail as seen in his room, his costumes, his writing, etc.

Its very likely that his venus and his mars sign do sort of relate in a sense of the way he will present himself. The virgo mars wants a deep connection as the next person but refuses to express that “passionate side” as much as others, preferring to remain casual or present a “cool exterior” which plays into the venus in scorpio’s preference for a secretive side or to remain a mystery.

lets also not forget Jamie’s mime performance in Sadie’s Song. His body language easily read as excited and desperate for perfectionism. Theres no denying he spent time and energy into his act, probably studying mimes and all lol

plus the virgo mars being an attentive to detail type of person, scorpio venus’ silent study on their person of interest and libra moon’s dependance on the study of others to learn how to express emotion when and where and how all tie into each other. Jamie depends on detail before well, doing! he is the type to not just think before acting but hes also gotten quite anxious overthinking as well!

The Taurus Ascendant is a sucker for stability, loyalty, especially to their passions with change being their biggest weakness, very fitting to Jamie. Stability is what made Jamie return to beach city from Kansas because he was not used to such a drastic change in an unstable life, doing the absolute opposite of prospering in his acting career, another big desire for a taurus rising btw, they thrive for success!

They also need a sense of security and any chance at risking that security is a big no-no for the Taurus Ascendant. now, in Reunited, hes completely moved on from garnet at this point. This takes places after the abduction, the only thing that would really be on his mind rn is healing and finding peace again with himself and in his surroundings. while hes handled this healing process alone (as far as we know) hes also learned about what he wants for himself including his love life. seeing garnet extremely happy and married and all makes him defeated for a moment not because “uUuuUUhH shes the one that got away!” its because he truly desires a passionate and devoted relationship as ruby and sapphires! which brings up the next topic!

In relationships, the Taurus Ascendant won't easily break up with someone they gave their heart to. Jamie wants a partner thats going to be as devoted and passionate as himself. He needs that sense of commitment and loyalty from someone and probably wouldn’t handle something as emotionless as one night stands for example! Any taurus placement has the same desires for romance as scorpio placements to be quite honest here, im just sayin as a venus in taurus and scorpio rising lmao.

Ok so the thing is heres the thing. Out of all four astrological elements, Jamie exudes water energy the most, then earth, then fire, and lastly air. He’s not just an emotional person, he’s also an optimistic person, even when he overthinks things, he continuously looks into the future rather than his past so I think its important to note he also has that “psychic” aspect to him as well as having a strong sense of someone else’s emotions as much as his own.

let me also add in dewmie-in’s post where they point out tht jamie does in fact have a literal reocurring theme with water so even if he turns out to like not be a water sun sign in canon (highly doubt there will ever be a canon bday for him lmao the entire point of this post tho) theres no way hes gonna not be associated with water coincidentally. so if u didnt read their post tldr: being a fucking buffoon in the literal rain, throwing letters into the ocean, staring at the ocean on his free time, (aka during working ours, worlds okayest mailman) cries easily, buddy dying in water, jamie nearly being killed as instructed by a gem named aqua, jamie surviving in water after being THROWN off the ship. so yeah thats that on that, theres plenty more planet placements than that in a birth chart but i just felt like doing the usual ones i guess :P

my review of harrys show

this is gonna be long & its mainly for twitter but hi this is from his radio city show

so im gonna get the ‘negative’ side out of the way first, i may review each and every song but who knows yet im just excited to do this

THE SETLIST- should not be how it is, its just an odd mix and as much as i love ever since new york, it should not be the opening at all. I agree with only angel being the opening cause i mean cmon with that lead up & its fast paced but not too much so its fun to start, i just think that having those like not slow but not fast songs first mixed with two ghosts does not work, it should be only angel, ever since new york, carolina, ever since new york, and then the rest how it is (mainly bc i cant remember the setlist loooooollololooloolol)

as much as i love just a little bit of your heart, it really doesnt fit, it really is kind of random and the sadness of it just doesnt really fit where it is and idk its just an odd cover to do once ur like in the setting and not just watching from videos, i think he needs another hyped up one to play, idk what he would play but i think he needs something to really get the crowd going, also story of my life should not be the second cover im sorryvfurebf but like i and maybe half the crowd blanked on the words plus stockholm IS SO GOOD CMON

NOW THE POSITIVE, lets talk about him in general because jesus fucking christ, if you dont know i was second row for this show in the pit and it was fucking insane, he’s beyond gorgeous and pics do not show his full potential, his voice is actually that good like i was shocked with all his running and jumping just how fucking good he sounded, he’s so raspy and really does his job well, he was made to be on stage its so clear to see how much he loves it and really gives his all during his shows, i could not take my eyes off him and i just swayed along during the sad ones and went insane during the fast ones while my eyes never left him, he really does trap you in and connects with the crowd, SPEAKING OF CROWD, the fucking attention he pays to the crowd is insane, yes he caters to the first two rows a lot but he makes sure to connect to the back and upper and he was itching the entire time to climb those stairs im so happy he did, he has such a presence that i really cannot describe you really can only experience it and i hope you all get the chance to be second row for him, ever since his show ive been feeling so weird like i actually ache to see him again, i miss him terribly and this show left such a lasting impression on me because it was just that good like truly mind blowing once i think back to it

KIWI GOES OFF CAN I TELL YALL THAT EVEN THOUGH YOU KNOW, i was lucky enough to hear it 2.5 times and he fucking owned every single time, that song gets the crowd going so much no matter where u sit and he makes sure to sing in your face (i would know i had the pleasure of screaming im having your baby with him while he was in my face) WOMAN IS SO SEXY LIVE LIKE WE ALL KNOW ITS SEXY BUT ITS SEXY (he did not think my dancing was sexy https://twitter.com/hoodedlouis/status/914613372087361536 see that face from the beginning to :05 yeah that was at me LMAO HE LOVES ME) what makes you beautiful is his pride and joy that man loves one direction and he loves the love we all still have for that band

ok so, jimin’s power - I’M ACTUALLY SO GLAD YOU ASKED, because it’s a part of the story that almost no one’s asked about even though it’s kind of a big deal for jimin. which is….jimin doesn’t have a power lmaO. almost everyone in that au has superpowers; its the norm to have one, but fic!jimin just..doesn’t. it’s something he’s probably felt odd about growing up; in his growing years he probably tended to feel like he had to work extra hard to be sort of special or noticed and stuff T-T that’s also part of the reason he originally was drawn to jeongguk in school after the dictionary incident - by that age he’d kind of started to guess that he wasn’t going to develop a power, since it’s really rare for it to develop any later than teenage years, and jeongguk was the first person he’d known to not like his own power ;; so to jimin it was kind of eye-opening to realise that the power he’d always been upset about not having could possibly bring harm as well as good ahjsbdsjhd..so yeAH!! im so so glad you asked this omdfd i feel like..im finally doing fic!jimin justice in telling his unwritten story T–T

and MY FAVOURITE BOOKS. omfg there’s so so many im just going to list as many as i can think of off the top of my head:

1. The Raw Shark Texts (by Steven Hall)

this one is one of my all time favourites, and a HUGE huge huge inspiration in writing that’s left an impact on me for a really long time ;; IT’S SO UNDERRATED but it’s super gripping and interesting and experimentally fresh, and has really well-written themes of like love and loss and unfaithful memories and losing memories and a lot of cool internal/mental things like that! the ending is super cool to me, too ;;; the writing style is like nothing ive ever really seen anywhere else and is just super compelling in the way the author selects and arranges certain simple words in un-simple ways? and there are many parts of this book that are ambiguous in what exactly happened; that’s exactly why i love it? idk i jsut - i get super super excited about this book pleasE READ IT

2. The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake (by Aimee Bender)

actually, i have loved about every single thing by aimee bender that i’ve read, but this is the only novel of hers ive read so far so i’ll go with that hjsbdjhsf…her short story collections are super lovely too, some of my favourite short stories by her are Job’s Jobs, Appleless, Death Watch, Motherfucker, I Will Pick Out Your Ribs (from My Teeth), and Faces. Aimee Bender is really one of my favourite authors ever, she has a really distinctive style and flavour thats creative and poetic and charmingly matter-of-fact all at once, that makes the most mundane stuff seem magical and the most magical stuff seem mundane. like. idk. IM REALLY IN LOVE with her writing ;;;;; ahdsbfjhbfds please check her out if you can!!!

3. A Wrinkle in Time & its sequels (by Madeleine L’Engle)

this whole series is just..really lovely in its ideas and hopeful and really gave me a huge sense of wonder the first time i read it? and there are some scenes in it that were just so beautifully magical (even though it’s actually sci-fi) and moving that i’ve never forgotten them to this day ;___; even though i first read it when i was 11 lmaO. but really, this is so soso osos o lovely idk if youve ever read it but i hope you have/get to read it some day abfdf

4. The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo

jhasgfjhs kate dicamillo is another of my all time favourite writers, i grew up hunting library shelves for her name lmao her writing is just..really beautiful in its ideology and style? there’s something very pure and innocent and whimsical and so so poetic about the things she writes and the way she tells stories, i always tend to read her stuff in one sitting bc it’s just so hard to stop ;;; i love her work so so much

5. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

i actually…can’t remember the exact story of this anymore BUT I DO remember that when i read it, i was completely blown away by the power of the writing style? bradbury’s writing is just…really distinctive in a heavier kind of way? like it’s poetic but kind of grips you around the heart idK im not sure how to explain it. i’m always stunned at the way he chooses his words and crafted his world in this book ajhsfbjd i love it sooo much ;;; i want to reread soon sdhfds

6. The Monstrumologist series (by Rick Yancey)

THIS ONE IS SO UNDERRATED i love it omg..it’s more gory and dark than most the things ive mentioned but the gore never feels like..needless? idk. i just love it so much and the kinds of ideas like the blurring of lines between man and monster, as well as the changing relationships of growing up - the book series just handles that so so well and with a really exciting gripping plot too ahdgsd i love it i love iiit. my fav book in the series is probably the lsle of Blood; there’s a line in there about a plate that haunTS ME ALWAYS

7. Skellig and Kit’s Wilderness by David Almond

david almond is another writer i grew up reading ahhHH it’s honestly been too long for me to exactly remember what i loved about these 2 books - BUT I LOVE THEM

8. The Seas by Samantha Hunt

i actually am reading this book literally right now, so i havent reached the ending and im not sure if ill still love it as much as i currently do by that point, but so far i definitely am loving it SO much!! the writing and metaphors and characterisation are so damn beautiful and interesting and the writer has a lovely flow and really fresh way of arranging words and delivering ideas ;; it’s just really prettily and freshly and creatively written ;A; plus, i have this…Thing for the ocean so i love that a central part of this book is about the sea ahhH

9. Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami

I WISH I HAD MORE HARUKI MURAKAMI THINGS TO TALK ABOUT but this is the only of his books ive found so far - and I LOVE IT TO DEATH. i actually read norwegian wood and the particular sadness of lemon cake in the time period when i wrote my latest fic (thought you knew) and they really ;;; damn, a double whammy of inspiration omfg. norwegian wood is just…really really interesting and deep and real without being too heavy-hearted in the way it talks about things like relationships, devotion, alienation and loss? idk, it’s just- i love it so so so much, especially the ending paragraph ahhhh

10. Cathedral and A Small, Good Thing (by Raymond Carver)

THESE ARE TECHNICALLY SHORT STORIES, not books. but i just love them so much i have to mention them ;;; i honestly love raymond carver and his way of writing a lot, he just..he says so much with so little? he’s a huge inspiration i look up to like crazy especially when it comes to crafting dialogue ahhh. i also really love his poem Hummingbird!

11. The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino

idek where to start with this one..THE PLOT IS JUST. FUCKING BRILLIANT and it’s a really interesting take on the idea of devotion, especially devotion to..um..unhealthy kinds of levels? idk. it’s just….so well thought through and super cool i was Mind Blown™ when i read it kasjndskdf

12. Bunker 10 by J.A. Henderson

this is another one in team BLEW MY FUCKIGN MIND ahhh ;; i read it super super long ago but the plot is so so good? it’s the kind that’s a bit confusing at first, but then everything gets revealed and i’m completely shook and eye-opened and want to read it again with the new knowledge, you know what i mean? just- i cant remember what the writing style was like but the PLOT and setting was soo so so cool T—T

and that’s…all i can think of at the moment ajhbfjsdhf IM SORRY YOU PROBABLY DIDNT EXPECT ME TO BE SO EXTRA AS TO GIVE SUCH A LONG ASS REPLY but im just…..very very very passionate and invested in the books i love, ok. im so. akjsfbjhdsf

Baby #2... Terrifying?

As I mentioned in my first blog about depression and anxiety, a village raised my first born, Madden. We had so much help! Both grandma's were on board. My brother and sister were on top of it as far as being there for him when I had to work late hours or what have you. And for 6 years of his life, that's the way it's always been. No one ever complained or gave me a hard time about needing help because Madden is honestly the most easy going and chill kid to have as company. I never had to worry about leaving him with my family because they just adored him so much and everyone who loved me knew I was hustling. I rarely hung out or did things on the days I had my son unless it was work.

Our custody agreement was LIT! I would have Madden from Wednesday to Saturday at 5. So for a few years, I had the weekend off from being a mom in a way. If I wasn't working a weekend, I was out! I became really close with a family who welcomed me as their own. We lost touch over the years but I will never forget them. We partied every Saturday night! We took river trips in the summer and literally had adventures every chance we could. It was so dope that I could still enjoy my life although I was a mom. Everyone made it seem like your life would be over once you had a kid but divorce and custody didn't mark that as true for my situation. If I was dating someone or "talking" to someone, they knew that wed-sat was off limits. Don't ask to see me. Don't ask to meet my son. You can't even come into my apartment. Because the man of that place is my son. For the most part, they respected that because.... um how can you not?

Madden and mommy....my sidekick... my protector...my FRED! I swore I couldn't share that love with anyone else. Madden molded me into the woman I am. He and I grew together and made life discoveries together. Him and I have an amazing bond. People feel it right away when they are near us. He's truly the better part of who I am. The best part!!

Time passes, I move back home with my mom. I had major goals to reach starting the winter of 2015. That is when I started therapy and shaved all my fucking hair off like a lunatic. I had big plans to turn over a new leaf and my mother was so cool about me coming back. She wanted me to save all my chickens and get me enrolled in a first time homebuyer program. She also encouraged me to get back into school (sounded good but we all know I hate school so suck it lol) I was feeling on top of the world and my new platinum buzz cut made me feel like a super human. People would just stare at me...ALL...THE...TIME.

A little while after the New Year, 2016 is when I rekindled my relationship with my now Fiancé, Justin. We had been together for 3 years prior to our reconnection. Broke up for 3 and then out of literally NOWHERE... I get a private message from him. I won't write what he said verbatim because I like some memories of us to be private. But lets just say my heart dropped to the ground. I thought he had forgotten about me. We were so amazing together the first time around but a lot of circumstances surrounding us weren't very ideal. We would find ourselves fighting constantly. Then family issues got out of hand so I was like "I am done, I need to focus on me and my son" and for 3 years we left each other alone.

After reading his message, I thought "why not?" After the first time we hung out, all we wanted to do was see each other. We quickly connected as if no time had passed. Plus, I started seeing such amazing growth in him that was so attractive. I fell in love all over again. He encouraged me to start photography as a hobby. So I did and thank him for pushing me because my camera is so special to us now. JC... back at it!!!

In April, I go on a Miami trip with my mom and sister for my mothers 60th Birthday! I was suchhhhhh a bitchhhhhhh on that vacation. I couldn't eat. Well let me rephrase. I couldn't eat meat! The smell, the texture, the preparation would make me soooooooo fucking sick! My mom made me a sandwich with ham and I almost cut her face off. I would get dizzy spells and needed to throw up every hour. Welp...... that was the start of my parasite, Baby Ace lmao!! I thought maybe I had gotten food poisoning or maybe the big yellow python I had around my neck earlier gave me some snake flu? Fuck, I didn't know what was up.

From April to December when Ace was born, I was the worst person to be around. I cut off my best friend in the entire world because I felt she hated me pregnant, I stayed in my home the entire time because I was always so sick and embarrassed from puking in public. I was so paranoid and thought my family was mad that I was going to have another baby and felt like they all thought it was too soon. It was ALL in my head because everyone was so cool about it. It was me who had this guilty feeling like why would I do this again? Especially after having such a calm pregnancy with Madden to this fucking horror scene every day? Ughhhhhh... my skin was gross, my hair looked like a chia pet and I didn't feel sexy or pretty anymore. This time around was horrible. It made Justin and I dislike each other very much for a while. But I couldn't help it. I was panicking. (We also had to endure a lot of BULLSHIT while I was pregnant and even some time after the baby was born BUT I will not get into that.... I am still very upset about it) Let's just say... FAMILY can be CRUEL!! That's all I can say. CRUEL!

Annnnyway!!!! I had a lot of worry and for good reason. Worry plus hormones... you do the math! I was not ok. Justin and I busted ass to prepare for our boy. We didn't want a baby shower because we literally started buying shit the day we found out. Target was at our doorstep every day for about 3 months. Like I said earlier, I felt like everyone was against us so I didn't want to inconvenience anyone by making them buy me a gift and come to my baby shower. We had it covered. But we were convinced to have one against our wishes and then left to plan it ourselves. (rolls eyes... exactly what we wanted to avoid) but we did it and glad we did because we got to see close past friends we hadn't seen in a while and even some family came by to show love and support which is ALWAYS WONDERFUL. Our theme was "Let Love Grow" We had started our garden that summer as a trial run for the large one we had planned for the Spring after Ace was born. We had big plans to plant, grow and make our own baby food. So Let Love Grow was perfect! We gave out little cacti and succulents as Thank You favors. I thought it was so cute! Some of our friends still have those cacti. I am proud of those who kept them alive because I am no good at keeping plants alive. Good for you guys!!!

I "nested" for monthhhs lol! My nerves for starting over again were insane!!! I felt like I was new at this. It had been almost 8 years since having a baby. All the baby items changed. Everything that was once safe in 2009 is now banned and no longer safe or proper for a child. I couldn't just get back on the bike. There was a whole new parenting curriculum to adhere to and I was not prepared. I just didn't want to fail. I wanted to do everything right. I wanted to give my all. I wanted to have all my bases covered. And drove myself crazy trying to get there. I still ain't there. In fact, parenting comes and goes day by day. Yes, being a new mother was terrifying but after I realized that I cannot control everything that happens and decided to let the universe guide me, I was able to relax. Justin is one hell of a father too. He is always there. He is always coming up with ways to make things easier for us. And Ace is obsessed with dada.

Unlike parenting Madden, I am with Ace all the time. We as a family are with each other all the time. There is nothing more fulfilling than having my boys with me and being the mom I am to them. I love making my home comfy and warm for my loves. I LOVE being their mommy and I LOVE being a wife.

My life is far from over. I thank God because I feel like it has just begun.

If you're childless and wondering if you should have a kid. Think about where you're at mentally. Not age wise. Don't put a time clock on it. Be realistic with who YOU are. If you're still in your selfish stage, don't have a kid. It will be a burden to you if you can't balance out your personal life and your home life.(they're two totally different things so always remember that)

If you're pregnant for the first time and scared, I promise you...it's ok! Your little human was made FOR YOU! There is nothing that kid can do that you aren't designed to handle, baby!

And if your destiny doesn't include kids, that's fine too! I know it plays with your heart when you see all these pregnant friends and celebs on your social media accounts. I swear, after I had baby number two is when the baby boom took offfffff! I didn't think people wanted to raise kids in this nasty world but boy was I wrong. I SEE PREGO'S everywhere lol! Congrats to any expecting moms or dads who are reading this by the way!!! But if your world is ok without kids, that doesn't make you less of a woman. It doesn't make you cold or selfish. Its all good to not want kids. I'm sure there are some kids in your world who love you and cant wait for your visits. Trust me, you matter to some kid out there! You will have an impact on our future. Just in a different way. That's all.

Baby boy turns 1 on the 22nd and his birthday party is tomorrow. I am so emotional because this year flew by for me. Daddy doesn't think so but I feel like I was just pregnant and miserable yesterday. I feel as though my little boy shot up before my very eyes. He has a smile full of teeth. He walks like a champ and even tries to talk to us. Its going too quickly for my little heart to catch up. I will be a wreck tomorrow because this year has been a mix of such scary, loving, exciting, stressful and eye opening experiences I have ever had!!! I have changed so much. My life is soooo different now and I just thank God for giving me another chance.

To Madden and Ace,

I promise to be your guiding star and your soft spot to land when times are great and when times are not so great. I promise to love you for all that you are and for all that you will be. You boys are the highlight of all my days and the constant dream in all my nights. You're both so special to me and I thank you for saving me. I thank God for picking me for you two. I love you boys more than life itself. I love you guys more than there are stars in the galaxy. I love your smiles and your laughter. I love how silly you both are because I KNOW I AM YOUR MOMMY when you do weird shit. I love when you hear music and start to dance. I love when you don't feel so well and look for me and my love more than usual. I love your eyes, your skin and your hair. Your smell! Gosh, motherhood is the most special thing I can call mine!

So many! esp in san francisco omg, like there’s a gorgeous hat store on Haight street, 70% of the stores in Union Square, the Leica store near Chinatown, Citylights Bookstore on Russian hill, Fay’s Coffee and Video Rental near Dolores Park. BUT my most favorite is the Kinokuniya Bookstore in Japantown!! I just love their selection of Japanese and English works. They have so many good design magazines and childrens books and knick knacks ugh 10/10 would recommend just go please57. Favourite food?

So many……..um well first and foremost I love my mom’s Indian food the most ;; she never cooks bc shes always busy working/doing other peoples work, but she makes the best indian food and she knows i HATE cilantro so her food is always the best…..mmmm i also like any kinds of foods except for mediterranean food, oh man i just love good food, like sometimes ill go visit other states just to revisit restaurants ive eaten at years ago

60. Ever won a competition? For what?

Haha yeah, so in high school i worked for out school newspaper. So i’ve won a bunch of different regional and national journalism and design awards. the newspaper staff branded me the “scene queen” bc i specialized in scene/review writing but our paper also won awards for design so uh yeah thats my spiel on awards/competitions99.
