It was so fun! I’m fully invested in poor little rich boy Home who will learn the true meaning of his name by learning to care about others and form real lasting bonds with them, and poor traumatized Peach who will learn to turn his curse into a gift and help spirits move on as he regains his confidence and love of cooking!

And this show is hilarious! At one point I had to pause the video and just sit there and cackle out loud cause I was having such a good time! 😄

It's Christmas Eve and I'm at work

i went there got some toy cleaner and two vibes and the guy who checked me out first made a joke about how he couldn't scan the toy cleaner for some reason and gave me a small bottle of lube and some toy cleaner wipes and some $5 batteries that I actually needed cause I don't have AAA batteries and then he said there was no shame inside spencers

so, spencers worker, you are literally the coolest best person I've met

i am not immune to marketing gimmicks (<- just bought limited edition cocoa flavor online)

#sasha speaks #they're having a big sale rn to clear out their overstock and leftover limited edition flavors from the past year #nearly everything is sold out already especially most of their flavored blends #but they had a medium roast from an origin i haven't tried before #and the unflavored single origin medium roasts are my favorite! so i ordered a bag for 35% off #plus a bag of my usual favorite...in fairness i also meant to bring some back home with me from my apartment and forgot completely #the other day when i was packing #so having a couple bags of cocoa arriving at home for me in a few days will be a nice treat #it's just roasted and ground cacao beans but you brew it just like coffee #the end product really is a lot like black coffee (bitter and strong lol) but it's quite lovely with a bit of sweetener #i used to take it with some cream but actually now my favorite preparation #is cocoa grounds + big pinch of salt + a few green cardamom pods + just enough maple syrup to make it *barely* sweet #makes a wonderful hot beverage. it's so cozy...#anyway looking forward to that. i hope the new flavor is good. the last limited edition medium roast i tried was fine #but i didn't like it more than their regular ones #unfortunately most of their varieties these days are either dark/french/ultradark (spanish) roasts or they're flavored light roasts #and i don't much go for those. i mean occasionally a flavored light roast #but i find them disappointing more often than not. light roast isn't chocolatey enough for me and the flavors are usually weak or stale #(the strawberry one is good but it's a summer limited ed and it was out of stock already by the time i saw the overstock sale)#and the dark roasts are just too dark for me. i want to taste the cacao bean and origin not just the roast #so the medium roasts are the sweet spot for me. roasted enough to taste really chocolatey and strong #but not so much that they're overwhelming and lose their character #actually weirdly i've noticed recently that on some of their limited ed and flavored blends they aren't listing the roast level.#it's very strange #for the flavoreds i just assume light roast but it's weird when they don't tell you on the package or the online shop page

Whoever decided it was a good idea to bake a pie on a fucking wednesday afternoon is a goddamn clown and should be dropkicked into the sun

#🤡#it's me #god it was SO much more complicated than i thought!#i baked pie just a few weeks ago and there was no problem so i figured today would be the same but nooOoO #i can't function in a dirty kitchen so I had to do the dishes first and let my ingredients thaw as most are stuff i buy or gather on sale #and then use when i have energy or want to #but yeah i did the dishes for like an hour and a half yesterday so in my brain baking a pie would just be as easy as me going to the kitchen #and getting started! meanwhile i forgot mom cooked dinner yesterday and somehow that woman uses every goddamn pot and pan in the house when #she cooks #so i had to clean that up plus glasses and utensils and stuff we used since yesterday afternoon #anyway then i started on the actual fucking pie and i semi followed a recipe this time and it called for one and a half TEAspoons of #cinnamon but last time i baked a pie i was just going off my own brain and i used half a TABLESPOON so like. same fucking thing basically #but my brain read the recipe and was like oh that's kind of a lot. double checked yep that says tablespoons okay i mean sally hasnt led me #astray before in it goes THEN MY BRAIN READS IT RIGHT and I'm like fuck #that said 1.5 teaspoons not 1.5 tablespoons #and i had dumped it in on top of other unmixed spices so i couldnt just scoop it out #anyway i think i managed to save it maybe? drained a lot of liquid and reduced it instead and i tasted an apple and it was good though i #havent tried the reduction yet and i only added a little to the pie #AND THEN FOR SOME REASON I DECIDED TO DO A LATTICE CRUST. EVEN THOUGH I'VE ONLY EVER DONE IT ONCE BEFORE #and did i look at a guide? nope. it took forever #anyway girlie is finally in the oven and if it turns out bad I'm throwing out my oven #my post #baking #this took so much more energy than i was expecting it to #it better be fucking good!

YEA LETS GO EX-FRAMING DEPARTMENT they never even got around to teaching me production it was all wrapping and taking orders :/ Idk how it is at other shops but we only had 3 people working the whole frame shop. One person did ALL the frame assembly and us other two handled everything else. Was absolutely not worth $11/hr. man fuck retail. FUCK Design Hub too, if I may

#id come in for my like 4 hour shift and would have to run + close shop which included wrapping #wrapping storing calling for all orders done plus get all yhe frames lined plus unpack and clean up all the new frames coming in all by #all by the end of the night PLUS frame shop had to clean the bathrooms every night #plus actually running the front desk and taking orders and sometimes ppl would take hours picking matts that would cut into the time i had #to have everything else finished PLUS if i for some reason had everything done on time theyd make me run sales floor too #it was insane all the stuff they had me learn for such shit pay like. and #never work michales but never do it around the holidays more important #you will never escape the glitter #all that and my framing manager never got around to teaching me how to assemble a frame.#at least it was nice to hide in the frame shop so i wasnt talking to customers 24/7 but still #customers treat you so horribly like i was sweeping once and this lady comes up to me like saying the bathroom was disgusting right #and i get it. it was always disgusting. but we did clean it every night. anyway its hard when you cant just tell people that 1.#1 we clean them every night so if theres a huge mess in it most likely it was another shopper who pissed on the floor just cuz.#and 2 they only give us a mop and some pine sol to clean the whole 2 bathrooms every night. dont blame me blame michals lol #everything else was just so stupid #i wanna know how many framing department ppl everyone else had because we had 2 part time and 1 full time and i was only there a few months
