Thoughts on Komaru Naegi?
Komaru is a cool character.
Its a very bold move to have a character that exists in Trigger Happy Havoc due to that motive video we saw in Chapter 1, and make her a fully fledged main character in Ultra Despair Girls, but it actually works as we get more Naegi without it being Makoto.
It also shows that while Makoto and Komaru do share similar characteristics they are not the same. Komaru is more unsure of herself due to the fact she sees herself as a normie, and being placed in a situation entirelly out of her comfort zone. She often has to lean on Toko for support due to seeing the later as more competent in what she is doing.
However as the game progresses, Komaru develops more of a backbone which can actually be shown visually as at the start of the game, Komaru's idle pose is very crouched down and unsure but after the speech she does to the Adult Resistance, she straightens up and is a lot more confident looking in her poses.
She is also not willing to be a submissive character forever as she does criticise Toko when she shares her literary traits that Komaru doesn't approve of, and when she and Genocider Syo fight due to Nagito's deal, it shows she is unwilling to just back down in the face of adveristy.
However she also has a sense of justice as despite being given a chance by Nagisa to just walk away from Towa City and be free, she refuses to do as the children vs adult war needs to end plus Monaca has Komaru's parents held hostage so their's a personal reason for that as well.
Of course in typical Danganronpa format, finding out her hero's journey was all pre-planned so she could be groomed to be the successor of Junko Enoshima was devestating to see her break down. But there was also a missed chance, as we know Komaru can channel spirits so what was stopping Monaca from having Junko's spirit possess Komaru? You need body parts but she had Nagito who literally has Junko's right arm, so it would have been as easy as to trick Komaru into holding the arm and then boom spirit possession! And then the final showdown could be Komaru fighting off Junko's influence and foiling Monaca's plans that way.
The only thing I could think of is that Monaca didn't know she could do that, as if she did, then she would have done that.
I do like how Komaru does ultimately go for a third option to stop the cycle of violence and destruction and try and broker peace between the children and the adults. Something that Despair to Future Arcs addresses very well.
Ultra Despair Girls is a bit of a oddball of a Danganronpa title, but it does a good job with its protagonist and its little wonder why Askblogs have her such a important character.

This is going to be my feelings/opinions towards all of the main characters in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. This is directly related to my interpretation of events in the series! If you disagree with my thoughts/feelings that’s totally cool but this isn’t meant to be a debate!
A lot has been going on right now and I don’t have the energy to do much digital art right now, so I figured I’d just open up a little more about one of my favorite series! Maybe I’ll do my opinions on characters for the other games next.
** This post will contain information that will spoil the series for you, so continue at your own risk**
Makoto Naegi:
Honestly I really like Makoto. He is really average but honestly I think that’s what makes him so appealing. Not only that, but he comes off with a type of charisma that only “average” people can pull off. He has a base knowledge on a variety of subjects that allows him to talk to the other students. That and I find the concept of his “luck” very interesting. Also, side note, but that sprite of him focusing with his finger under his chin is probably one of my most favorite DR sprites ever. It’s just so cute! (I might redraw it someday hehe)
10/10
Aoi Asahina:
While I adore Hina, I really wish that they would have made her more than just a ditzy character who was obsessed with donuts in this game. I loved her energy though! Her interactions with everyone always made me smile. My appreciation for her character just increased exponentially after watching the Despair Arc of Danganronpa 3. All in all I’m super glad that her character survived in THH.
8/10
Byakuya Togami:
Honestly, I have mixed feelings about Byakuya. I think he’s a great antagonistic character, truly, but beyond that I’m not sure. I definitely think that his character is humbled throughout the course of the game, and in later games/animes he seems a lot less asshole-ish, but I’m not sure if I like him or hate him. I guess that just goes to show just how great he is as an antagonist. One thing I thought was hilarious though was how he casually admitted to being a true-crime nerd. I’m really glad he survived because I think his “talent” was really important for the Future Foundation.
6/10
Celestia Ludenberg:
Okay so real talk, I used to be a huge Celestia fan when I first stumbled across the series. But now, I don’t really like her character all that much. I think that out of all of the killers in THH her motive was the most shallow and that really is terrible considering how much potential she had. Her disconnect with her true identity could have made for an interesting character arc. And I really hate how they gave her literally the most complicated murder scheme when it would make sense for her to take a little risk as possible. Her character design is really cute though.
5/10
Chihiro Fujisaki:
I think Chihro’s death was one of the hardest for me in the game. I played through all of his freetime events and was super attached to him (I know, a horrible idea in a game like DR), and as soon as he died I was just in shock. One thing I love about how they portrayed his character was truly allowing the brilliance of Chihiro shine through even after his death. He created the AI that not only helped aid in their escape, but ultimately saved Makoto's life. I also really liked the juxtaposition of Chihiro and Mondo (the seemingly weaker one ultimately being stronger after all). All in all, Chihiro is a great character.
10/10
Hifumi Yamada:
I’m not really a fan of Hifumi, but I definitely think he gets wayy too much hate or just gets overlooked completely. I think that the creators leaned a bit too far into the stereotypes for him, and that made him come off as stiff and just… there. I knew from the very beginning that he wouldn’t survive, and honestly he’s the only character I had that feeling with (minus Leon). There are some quirks about him that I like, though, like how he never fails to refer to the others politely.
4/10
Kiyotaka Ishimaru:
So I originally found Taka annoying but after playing THH again he became one of my favorite characters. I find his enthusiasm adorable and his free time events boosted my admiration of him. He’s the only Ultimate that makes a conscious effort to prove himself and not rely on his prodigy-type status. And his relationship with Mondo, albeit short-lived, was so pure. It was so obvious to me that he was happy to have a friend (because Mondo is the first friend he’s ever had), and having that suddenly ripped away and listening to his desperation at the end of chapter 2 made me sob.
10/10
Kyoko Kirigiri:
Kiri’s background made me feel really sad for her. I first thought she was just the aloof, cold, smart type that was a bit snobbish. But then you realize that she’s been raised to not be in the spotlight, to work alone and without credit behind the scenes. Detective work is basically her birthright and she’s clung to that like a vice. Her character development throughout the game was really nice, and I think her and Makoto are super cute for each other. The side plot with her and her dad in DR3 made me really sad, too. I really liked overall that she was unapologetically holding true to her beliefs, even if it made her come off as cold. She was a solid, strong female character.
8/10
Leon Kuwata:
It was super obvious from the beginning that Leon was gonna die. There was 0 attachment to his character for me and he just came off as just...kinda there. I don’t really have much to say about him, other than that I’m not a fan.
1/10
Mondo Owada:
Mondo was such a big sweetheart in his freetime events. I thought his character was really well rounded and I was so sad that he ended up killing Chihiro. Despite that, I thought it worked really well for the story and played off of both of their weaknesses. Again I really loved his friendship with Taka, and having it formed and ended so quickly surprisingly hurt.
8/10
Sakura Oogami:
Honestly I didn’t like how they made her character the spy, because it seemed ridiculously out of character for her. Honestly I think this would be something better suited to Celeste, as she would view it as a way to increase her chances of living if she’s in “kahoots” with him. I dunno, I think the spy thing was unnecessary anyways. I loved her character though and her friendship with Hina was super cute. I also loved how they mentioned that she wanted to embrace her femininity while also not wanting to give up being the strongest person in the world.
7/10
Sayaka Maizono:
Honestly even though I’m not the biggest fan of Sayaka I really like the role she played at the beginning and I think they played it off perfectly. Her desperation fueled by the fear and harsh reality that comes along show business and easily being forgotten really works in the narrative. She seemed like a well-rounded character but I think that if she had lasted past chapter 1 I would have liked her less. All in all her character did a great job of kicking off everything.
6/10
 Toko Fukawa:
I hate how they portrayed her character in THH, but her obsessive and odd behavior (outside of her split personality) is easily explained by her traumatic past. She obviously has a warped sense of what “love” is, and that plus her intense delusions turned into obsession for Byakuya. I started loving her character a lot more in UDG, when she started becoming more well rounded and open around Komaru.
Also, I loved Genocider Syo’s personality. While I obviously don’t condone serial murders, I think that her character is extremely interesting. She doesn’t try and condone her own actions, admitting there is no rhyme or reason. Plus I think it’s really interesting that she considers herself a “professional” and is incredibly particular about the details.
Overall 6/10 in THH
Yasuhiro Hagakure:
I feel like Hiro gets a lot of shit as a character because they think he doesn’t contribute anything. I think he adds a lot of much-needed comic relief. Also I think that everyone glosses over the fact that once Taka goes silent he actually tries to encourage him to speak up again. And then tries to do his part and keep everyone together and upbeat. I really think that Hiro is a fun character who deserves more love, even though I can’t say he’s one of my favorites.
7/10
Mukuro Ikusaba:
I wish Mukuro’s personality would have been able to actually show through in the game. The only glimpse we really see of it is in the bonus school mode while she is still posing as Junko. I wish in the anime they’d have harped less on her odd obsession with Junko and focused more on her internal struggle. I think her character has potential but I can’t say I was particularly attached to her (I suppose that was kind of the point, though).
4/10
Junko Enoshima:
Junko is probably one of the most well-written villains I have ever seen in a series. At first I thought it didn’t make sense, and was confused how one person could have so much influence on a mass amount of people. Then it was revealed in later installments that Ultimate Fashionista was not her real talent, just a cover she forged for herself to help her blend in to the school. Her real ultimate talent as the Ultimate Analyst allowed her to predict people’s actions and more importantly, their reactions. Her innate ability and incurable boredom made her seek out something unpredictable: despair and chaos. I think what made me love her as a villain was the line “You can’t argue with me, because there's no reason for anything that I do.”
As a villain I give her 15/10. If I were to rank her as a person? -11037/10
Overall Opinion:
I really find most of the characters charming but it’s super obvious when comparing this game to the others that these characters were not as fleshed out as characters in other games. I found it hard to be super attached to most of them and felt that some of their actions were really uncharacteristic. However I really do like the characters and what they add to the story, even if some of it doesn’t add up completely. I’m the least attached to these characters out of all of the characters in the DR series, although there are obviously some exceptions. I think there couldn’t have been a better opening cast of characters.

heya tsu !! could i possibly get a kin matchup from dr, specifically udg ? 👀 i'm bad at describing myself but !! i'm pretty loud and extra most of the time with my friends, but if you don't know me i try to keep a low profile. i like drawing, writing, and performing and i wanna be on broadway someday ! i usually take leadership with school assignments and stuff, and i easily get irritated if people don't listen to me and/or don't do their work. tysm in advance !!
ooh, okay, ultra despair girls! i’ll keep the major ones as that cast specifically, but i do have a couple in mind from other games that i’ll leave at the end! you seem really cool, anon, so thank you for requesting !!
*also, since the cast of udg is rather small, the major characters of the matchup will be in order of who you most to least reminded me of!
first off, i match you with...
Tumblr media
kotoko utsugi!
okay- i had a bit of a hard time picking between her and nagisa, but you are jus... big kotoko. first off, i mean, her ultimate is theater- you definitely share the aspirations for broadway with her, as well as a liking for performing!! also, being a theatre kid, she’s really loud and extra around her friends, and i think that as long as she has a friend or two around she can still be lively and bubbly- i dunno how true that is for you, but maybe it is! it seems more like when she’s submerged in strangers that she looses her cool and backs down. i won’t go into her backstory here, for both spoiler and triggering reasons, but that’s my strongest example of her doing this.
plus, while she is still a child who dislikes school, it’s said ingame that she’s also very intelligent. whenever she’s in a stronger state of focus, i wouldn’t be surprised if she’d lead the charge(also, showing some leader-ish traits, though a lot of the WOH do) on an assignment! plus, both of you don’t like to go unheard- and i wouldn’t be surprised if the two of you also share the desire to be understood be others. plus, while she does explicitly state a lot of her interests, i feel like kotoko and you would both have trouble describing your personalities if told to. like, i dunno what it is- i just couldn’t imagine her being able to smoothly. unless it was in a theatre role, of course!
i also match you with...
Tumblr media
surprisingly, not nagisa shingetsu yet! komaru naegi, actually!
so... komaru is sort of very and yet not really different from kotoko? and you? but hear me out. both of you do seem to be not very good at describing yourselves- in fact, komaru ingame even sees herself as completely ordinary and average, even though she has the strange abilities of seeing ghosts, and i don’t even remember what abomination she said her favourite food was. she’s not super loud around her friends, but she can definitely be extra and over the top in what she actually says, versus her somewhat more mellow attitude. her main loudness comes out whenever she’s more emotional and genuine, but i don’t think that that’s inaccurate to how you are! and, even though we don’t see it much since she warms up to toko pretty quickly, she is more hesitant and quiet around people she doesn’t know. ie the warriors of hope upon first meeting them
also, while i don’t think komaru’s hobbies aren’t explicitly stated, she does have an interest in manga- something that while she might not want to write it, i’m 99% sure she said she had an interest in drawing manga(checked the wiki and she does!), which lines up with you! plus, while i kind of see her as the lazy high school student, manga is literature, and on the note of leadership, komaru was able to rise up against the army of monokumas and the WoH. of course, she only got really into it after her character arc, but like the previous kin anon, that’s the komaru i thought of when reading your descriptkin. she seems louder and able to be silly, the way you seem, but knows when to be serious and doesn’t like it when other people can’t agree with when she does. despite komaru being a very average and normal person, she still wants to be listened to- her waking up every day and banging on the door for an escape is a strong indicator of that.
finally, i match you with...
Tumblr media
masaru daimon! i’m just kidding, nagisa shingetsu!
um... as i kept going back to your descriptkin, i sort of wavered on your total nagisa vibes- you still remind me of him, but i kept kind of faltering as i realised you weren’t a perfect fit for him haha. but that’s okay! anyways, your similarities! both of you are definitely more quiet when you don’t know people, nagisa seems rather introverted and even though he’s more serious, he can also get louder and happier around his friends. even though he seems a bit less cheerful than you do, i do think that both of you genuinely care a lot for your close friends and family, found or otherwise. plus, while i’m not sure how artsy he is, he does have an interest in toko’s books, which *implies* that he might be into writing?
the second half of your descriptkin, however, is where i think the big similarities shine through. first off, nagisa is absolutely the leader type when it comes to general tasks. maybe he’s not the type to give a motivational speech, but he knows how and when to get things done. i’d imagine that he’s co-leader of the warriors of hope for this reason! plus, being the most serious member of the group, he’s the type to be sort of a stickler for getting assignments done, as well as staying on top of responsibilities in general. both of you seem like if people weren’t listening to you trying to help them stay on task, it would be sort of a headache.
-
and with that, bonus lightning round time! from udg, you also remind me a bit of jataro kemuri, and from the main games, you also remind me a bit of kokichi ouma, angie yonaga, and korekiyo shinguuji!
i hope this was helpful, anon! please remember that you know best... um, i don’t really have much to add- sort of tired, haha. i’ll probably wake up later and realise that i forgot a crucial detail...! thank you very much for requesting though, and i hope your day/night is really good!

What Disney princess would the DR girls be? Any of the girls.
Anon, thank you so much for making my night with this question!
Tumblr media
I’ve honestly thought myself which DR girl would embody each Disney Princess and now you’ve given me the opportunity to put my thoughts into reality. Thank you for that! So here are my thoughts for this crossover.
First up would be Komaru Naegi as Snow White. They’re both the first official princess/female protagonist in their respective series so it felt appropriate. They’re both kind and generous girls who try to make do with the situations they’re in. They also started out as ‘prisoners’ in their home for a good while before the antagonists thrust them out into the open world. And they also are in company of ‘little’ people with interesting personalities.
Next is Kirumi Toujou as Cinderella. They’re both maid figures who are dutiful and hardworking as they try to accomplish their task as best of their ability. They also end up in a high position of power in their respective stories. (Cindy being a princess and Toujo being a prime minister).
Chiaki Nanami would be Aurora. Along with sleeping alot, and with all due respect to their fans, they’re also known for having the most basic personality among their fellow girls/princesses since their character and interests are rarely discussed in their series.
Ibuki Mioda as Ariel. They both have this rebellious free spirit about them that makes them endearing and adorable. They like to have fun and can often make mistakes that have dire consequences. Ibuki is also said to have an amazing singing voice which is similar to how vital Ariel’s voice in the movie. I also feel that Ibuki would have a collection of things that would be strange to their peers.
Sonia Nevermind as Belle. I see them both as cultured, refined young women. They’re always confident when they make their stand against contractors who force them into a role they don’t want. They also have interests that their societies or peers would not approve of on account of them being girls (Belle with her books and Sonia with her interest in serial killers and the occult).
Aoi Asahina as Jasmine. Part of it is because I’m bias but regarding legitimate reasons, Aoi has a similar personality to Jasmine herself. Such as her playful nature, how her naivety can get the better of her, how she’s unafraid to vocally express disapproval over the actions of others. Plus they’re both have ponytailes and are the first ones in their respective series to wear pants/shorts. Another candidate option would be Maki Harukawa since she’s playful, aggressive and shows frustration with not being able to make her own choices. She even fallsl in love with a guy who gave her the freedom to choose.
Sakura Oogami as Pocahontas. With Sakura, I see that she embodies Poca’s calm and wise attitude with the world around her and how she often uses peaceful tactics before engaging in heavy handed combat. Plus she’s also very athletic and often performs feats that many people wouldn’t be brave enough to do (For Sakura it’s participating in rigorous tournaments and for Pocahontas its diving off a super high cliff without a care)
Peko Pekoyama as Mulan. They’re both talented when it comes to martial arts and handling weapons. They also have a strong honor code when it comes to their respective families and will do anything to ensure that the honor remains in tact. Even if it means going behind their family member’s backs to do so.
Akane Owari as Tiana. This one was tricky but I did find a few similarities between the two girls. Such as how they were born in lower class homes and care deeply for their families. They’re also quick tongued and aren’t afraid to fight back if necessary. And I can assume that Akane has a great taste in food that could match Tiana’s tastes.
Kaede Akamatsu as Rapunzel. The first reason is that they have similar color schemes for their hair and dress. The other reasons is that they’re perky, cheerful girls. They also assertive when they try to accomplish their goals. But sometimes they struggle to do the right thing and often make morally questionable choices (This is based on Rapunzel’s actions in the TV series).
Tenko Chabashira as Merida. I see them both as aggressive, emotional girls who want to make their own paths and know how to fight. Also it’s without question that Tenko would do everything in her power to get out of an arranged marriage with a menace. Especially one she knew for only a day.
Touko Fukawa as Anna. It’s kind of an odd choice but I have several reasons for it. For one, she’s a romanticist and has a crush on a hot ‘prince’ guy who’s a total jerk to her. Second is that she can get really defensive when people criticize her or her actions which often leads to her butting heads with them. But she does have a resilience to her just like Anna where she has to keep on going no matter what the odds are.
Kyoko Kirigiri as Elsa. They’re both mature, stoic young women who try to do what’s right for the greater good. Not everyone agrees with their actions but they could care less as long as they’re safe. They also have a habit of keeping their distance from others preferring isolation all of which makes them come off as cold-hearted. But they do have a softer side they share with those they care about.
And finally, Angie Yonaga as Moana. Thanks to the localization dub, Angie is canonically a Pacific Islander girl similar to Moana who has a strong connection with her culture and people. She also has a ‘relation’ with greater beings (Angie with her God and Moana with Maui and Te Fiti). She tries to keep her community together and makes decisions that most wouldn’t approve of. Aoi could be another candidate on account of her love of water, her love of her family, her athletic abilities and how she’s just as feisty as Moana.
And those are my ideal choices for the DR girls. I hope they’re to your liking anon! And if you, or anyone watching this post, agrees with this or has another idea for the roles, you’re more than welcome to reblog this with your thoughts. I’m always happy to hear them!

30,44,100 for the DR ask meme
Ah! Thank you for the ask!!! Warning: There will be spoilers for all the Danganronpa games, including V3, as well as the anime (DR3). I’m putting my answers below because I get very long in answering the last question.
(For this ask here.)
30. Which character would have deserved to survive?
This is a tough one, and I’m sorry for all the ties here, but I’m tied between Sakura Oogami (DR1) and Juzo Sakakura (DR3). For Sakura I’ve half made my peace with it because it was a noble sacrifice, but I’m still salty she died. Plus she and Asahina are my OTP and they deserve happiness. For Sakakura I felt like out of everyone he deserved to live as character development. Sakakura’s character is one of “trying to do the right thing but ends up messing up”. He deserves redemption not through dying, but through living and making amendments. Also, I feel he could have survived if circumstances were right and situations were resolved faster. What I mean to say is, I’m firmly in the “Juzo Survived” bandwagon.
44. Describe Nagito Komaeda in 3 words.
-Lonely
-Self-doubt
-Validation
100. Opinion on all the protagonists. (NOTE: I’m also going to include Munakata and Touko)
 Sorry this gets long.
Naegi Makoto (DR1): Naive, but pure, Makoto embodies the quiet, often forgotten soft protagonists shows don’t want to have in their male leads. While Makoto starts off meek, he grows more confident and shows that cooperation, uncompromising kindness, and compassion are just as valid, if not more valid than the action hero who leaps into battle. Violence was never the solution with Makoto and with the way the world can be, this message is one I think needs to be spoken louder and frequently. I love Naegi and he’s easily one of my most favourite male protagonists in anime ever.
Hajime Hinata (SDR2): Embodies the desire to do good, to help, but feeling burdened by the weight of “normal” and “talent-less”. In a world, and especially in Japan, where talent is praised and “genius” is a commodity media loves to parade around, Hajime shows we need not be “extra-ordinary” to change the world. Hajime also shows that sometimes we get caught in a binary way of thinking, feeling solutions either have an A or B. Hajime demonstrates that we aren’t bound by our limitations and that anyone can change the world for the better. I really like Hajime as he added some sarcastic flair and can hold strong opinions.
Komaru Naegi (DR:AE): Komaru to me is very similar to Hajime in that she felt she was just a normal girl, however, unlike Hajime, who desperately wanted to change that, Komaru was complacent. She was fine with standing on the sidelines and letting others fix things. Her challenge was realizing that her desire to run away was due to fear of stepping out and being the change she so desperately wants. She’s a fantastic character and is well written, especially with her interactions with Touko.
Fukawa Touko (DR1, DR:AE): Touko was one of my least favourite characters in DR1 due to her infatuation with Togami. Then, in AE we saw a whole new light to her and I am now absolutely in love with Touko. Before Touko was a coward, someone who was afraid and reacted in fear (see Trial 4 in DR1), however with her survival, she learned that she can’t run away and she has to face all her challenges head on. It’s a perfect contrast to Komaru, who is willing to just let others solve things for her. Touko also has a very tragic past and due to her mistreatment by her family and peers, she grew resentment and anger (and a serial killer personality). However, and this may just be me reading too much into this, her ability in AE to control her other personality shows to me that she’s moved beyond that anger, resentment, and fear. She’s learning to control her negative emotions and become a better person because of it.
Munakata Kyosuke (DR3): A very refreshing clash to Naegi’s view of the world, Munakata is a realist (and possibly extremist), who hides his fear behind logic and calculated moves. His reaction to simply “kill them all”, like Despair is a parasite, mirrors things Enoshima has said in DR1′s final trial, as well as Komaeda in SDR2. The fear of something and the desire to “just get rid of it at first sign”, is a paranoia that is often seen done well in survival horror like zombie stories and I think works extremely well in Danganronpa’s universe. His development linked not just to his love interest, Chisa, but also to Sakakura was, in my opinion, a smart move. I do wish that we saw him interact with Sakakura after knowing of the love Sakakura feels towards him. Munakata is a character I think people sometimes just write off as “stern” and “cold”, but is actually a very soft person (he wanted to change Hopes Peak for the better), but manipulation and the world ending forced him to become the realist/extremist we see in DR3.
Akamatsu Kaede (V3): One of the first protagonists to immediately decide “screw this, we’re out” and wasn’t complacent at all with their situation. Her leadership skills and ability to rally the others was something we haven’t seen the other protagonists be able to do immediately. Her sweetness and kindness is also noteworthy as again, I feel in Danganronpa is trying to tell us kindness and compassion are solutions we shouldn’t brush away. Of course, I wish there was more development of Kaede, and while I’m actually not opposed to a protagonist switch, her character was done a disservice because of this. Personally, even though I love Saihara, I would have loved a reversal of their roles.
Saihara Shuichi (V3): I think he gets a lot of flack for being another Ultimate Detective and I don’t think that’s fair. What I like the most about Saihara is he has a talent, but he is unsure of it. Shuichi reminds me of those kids who excelled while they were young, often praised for one skill only, and then when they mess up, or when they get older, they’re unsure of how they fit in the world. Saihara being wary and unsure of his skills was something I really appreciated. Many characters in Danganronpa often have a disturbing level of faith in their talents (Komaeda anyone?). One question Danganronpa also asks (and it asks a lot) is the idea of someone being defined by their talent alone and if that’s a good or bad thing. His relationship with Maki and Kaito is the highlight of his character for me and every scene the three shared warmed my heart.
