Had a lost cat yowling outside my door last night...it probably belonged to someone in my same apartment building but it didn't have a dang tag so I had to take it to the only open shelter at that hour which was a good 30 mins away. Kitty was not very happy but didn't claw or try to run. The last lost cat I picked up at least had a tag so I could bring it back to its home address and put it back inside (since the front door was swinging open, which explained how it escaped...)
Anyways while at the shelter I was surrounded by kitties so obviously I was set upon by the urge to adopt. These two senior cats both call to me...Chicken Noodle has a top tier name but Leonidas looks like he walked out of a Looney Tunes cartoon...

"What do you think is going on there?"
The dark-haired man looked at the white-haired man who was standing by the window, looking at the lights on in your apartment on the other side of the square.
"Probably her husband started arguing again. I wish this would end already. She'll cry for him again..."
You lived in an apartment building. Where in the middle was a small square with three entrances.
They lived on one side. You and your husband lived across the street.
These were expensive apartments.
Well, you were married to a famous lawyer. He hasn't lost a case in court in several years. It was very bad at first. But over the years, he made it. He started getting rich, that's why you live in an apartment. On the same floor as them.
They are younger. students. However, the Gojo family gave them an apartment so they wouldn't have to live in a dorm or some other bad apartment.
That's why they have a suite.
When they just moved in there, they met your husband. Someone not very nice.
He was busy with work. They also heard rumors that he previously had trust issues with clients because he was a terrible womanizer.
However, he later married to avoid bad talk about him.
You were the housewife. He was working and told you to be at home.
You spent your days peacefully. That's why when you found out that someone new moved in there, you didn't want to be rude.
And you hoped you'd meet them someday.
Once, when you were in the square, you met them. Two young men who have moved in here and are students. A little younger than you. You couldn't forget their eyes when they looked at you. so nice. You thought young people like them would be mean and you wouldn't care.
However, they approached you and started talking to you. Why? Because they once saw you through the window walking beside your husband. Him, still with the phone in his hand. You, you walked beside him in silence. Even if there was love between you, perhaps there is less of it once.
It was just what they thought it was. And they were very observant.
People could believe it or not, but they felt something that you were a very interesting person. You were nice and sweet. You smiled gracefully at them as they offered to carry your groceries from the car to your house.
For your help, you gave them a fruitcake that you baked. You told them you didn't want to throw it away, and your husband said he wouldn't eat the cake because he's allergic to certain fruits. Even though he didn't even know what was there.
That's why you fed your new neighbors. Gojo was very pleased with your baking skills. And you said that since you're married to your husband, you don't have much to do.
You promised them you'd bake them cakes when you had time.
At least they appreciated your work.
You've become more like friends since then.
You spent time together when you all had nothing to do.
Sometimes you visited them, sometimes they visited you. It was connected by mutual emotions. Because you liked each other.
You felt relieved when you spent time with them. Because your husband started ignoring you more and more.
Both they and you noticed that he was coming home from work later and later. Plus, he used to piss you off sometimes. Which just showed he wasn't interested in you anymore.
You came to them once for comfort. Without explicitly showing that you need comfort. You took your husband's favorite cake you had baked and left the house. Just so you don't go to them empty-handed .
And they took you home.
Well, their house wasn't what you expected.
You expected scattered socks and underwear. A bit of a mess.
But they had a nice house.
Compared to your husband's office in yours. There was begging all the time. He made you clean up there, and when you cleaned it up, your husband yelled at you for throwing away some very important papers.
And then he went to "work" because you made him start all over again. And apparently he had a lot more peace in his office than he did at home with you.
According to Gojo, who has passed by his office more than once, he does not need peace in his office. He needs his secretary who is always by his side. During breaks at work, they go out for lunch together, they act like a couple.
Your heart was almost broken when you heard that.
You didn't know why Satoru would lie. He is very observant. Besides, they study near his office. That's why they go there.
You've found out the hard way that your husband has a slutty secretary dressed more like a prostitute than a secretary in a law firm.
You gave your neighbors a lift because you had to go to your husband's. Because he forgot his briefcase from home. So you took them along, by the way, since you were on your way.
And when you got in the car after taking his things, you started to get nervous behind the wheel. When you drove off to park near the school, instead of getting out, they started worrying about you.
They asked what happened to you. And when you told them that they were right that your husband might be cheating on you, they found a chance to win your heart.
Because you were their lovely neighbor. So nice and hurt by her husband every time.
They were already hopelessly in love with you. That's why there was this reaction.
They said that they thought you were much prettier than that secretary.
They made you blush, but their cute and comforting smiles stole your heart.
Young, flirty men are your neighbors.
They are the ones who gave you courage.
When you went to your friend's birthday one day, he installed cameras in the house. To be sure that nothing will happen.
Instead of having fun with your friend all evening perfectly, you just had a good time. You were afraid of catching your husband cheating.
You were trying to have fun. And even after you drank some wine, you texted Satoru and Suguru.
They knew you went to a birthday party. And after you sent them heart stickers, they knew you had something to drink.
Alcohol gives courage. But it also causes stupid behavior.
When you came home, a little drunk from what you did with your friend, you found your husband in bed.
Lucky you didn't take your car to go to your friend's. You came by taxi.
It wasn't that late, but it was already dark.
Out of habit, you looked at the windows of your neighbors apartment.
As always, they were still awake.
You didn't go over to your husband to say hello.
You just saw him lying under the covers and snoring softly.
Alcohol makes you brave, but it also causes stupid behavior...
These cameras were to be installed for at least a few weeks. And then you would review the recordings.
However, the few glasses of wine you drank made you check the recordings from tonight on your laptop.
You've been scrolling through footage from the kitchen, the bathroom, and the madhouse. Nothing new. Just your husband who lies lazily and doesn't have the strength to even get up from the couch to open the door.
But when you saw who came to him in your absence, you had no doubts...
He's cheating on you!
You turned on the bedroom video to see your husband fucking his secretary. In your house. In your bed!
Without wasting time watching the abomination, you took the icy water in the jug and poured it over your sleeping husband, who jumped out of bed as he felt the cold against his skin.
And here is another proof of treason.
He slept naked. There was a condom next to the bed, and there were scratches from his fingernails on his arms.
Can he ever please a woman?
He started screaming and so did you.
You knew the neighbors around would hear anything.
Meanwhile, your friends saw your figure behind the curtain as they looked and the window.
A curtain on which there was a light shadow.
"What do you think is going on there?"
The dark-haired man looked at the white-haired man who was standing by the window, looking at the lights on in your apartment on the other side of the square.
"Probably her husband started arguing again. I wish this would end already. She'll cry for him again..."
"It's not like I don't like being able to comfort her and spend time with her... But I'm sick of this asshole doing this to her. She probably found out he was cheating on her."
Suddenly they saw you open the window and throw his work laptop onto the sidewalk.
Then he started yelling at you.
And when Geto saw how he raised his hand on you, he left the house, running to the opposite entrance to the building.
He started ringing the doorbell quickly and firmly.
Until after a minute, your husband opened it, in a robe.
His skin was wet as he stared at the taller, younger boy.
"We apologize for the noise at night. We need to sort things out..." your husband said.
"Where is (y/n)?" he asked, looking around for him.
"Suguru-kun?"
Your husband turned to glare at you.
Well, before he told you to leave the house, you said you were leaving.
And now you were taking your things that you will need.
Your husband didn't hit you. You hit him. You kicked him in the crotch with all your might. And when he took his laptop to show you the "section of the law" about recording without consent, you threw his laptop out the window, telling him how illegal it is by law to cheat on your spouse.
If you're going to get a divorce, you have the perfect reasons.
And you have even more to get him to let go, and no one took his side during the trial. All the things he said when his mistress was with him? He bribed other lawyers to misdefend their clients! That's what he's famous for!
Plus you have a video of him in your bed with his lover! Who will go to such a lawyer? A lawyer who cheats on his wife?
He divorces because of infidelity! And now he's betraying himself!
You pushed your husband out of the doorway to walk out with your bag in hand.
You'll be back for the rest of your stuff soon.
"Are you okay?" the dark haired man in the bun asked you as he placed his hand on your back, shielding you from your husband's gaze as he stopped behind you.
"Yeah." you replied, breathing to calm yourself down.
As you went up the stairs he took your bag, carrying it for you.
"What happened?"
"He was cheating on me... Just like that..." you said, doing your best to keep your emotions from exploding.
"I'm sorry I asked..."
"That's fine. You were right."
"Where are you going now?"
"I was planning to go to my friend's for the night. I'll think of something else in the morning."
"Come to us."
You stopped and turned to look at him.
"We have quite a lot of space. Therefore, it will not be a problem for you to stay with us. And we also have no problem for you to stay longer."
"Suguru-kun..."
"Come on... We're friends. Besides, your husband will be able to see that you're doing well without him."
His hand pushed your back lightly in encouragement.
You rubbed your eyes because you thought salt water was already gathering there.
"Fine..." You replied, walking right next to him as he led you down the familiar road to their apartment.
"The door is already wide open for you. Entrance always for you."
As you were walking up the stairs, you saw Satoru at the door when it was open.
He waved his hand towards the entrance.
You smiled slightly, rubbing your eyes again.
White-haired hands appeared on your shoulders as you walked inside.
"You can always rely on us. We are at your disposal." he said happily.
They always helped you... And you gave them cake for it...
They were always there for you when you needed them...
That's why you wanted to cry.
Because of what your husband did to you...
What you've been through right now...
Before your neighbors are so sweet and help you...
Suddenly tears appeared on your cheeks and they started to panic.
"He betrayed me... What should I do now? I left the house... I'm going to get a divorce... I want him to have it worse than me... But I'll have to suffer…”
"(y/n), it's not your fault he's a complete asshole. You are cute and kind. The fact that he did it just shows what a son of a bitch he is. He had the best wife in the world, and he did it anyway. We would never do that to you." Satoru's fingers brushed your cheeks before blushing a little, you clung to his chest, snuggling against him.
He bent down to pick you up and took you to the couch.
You sat sideways on his lap, cuddling up to him.
Your calves were placed on Suguru's thighs as he sat down next to his friend.
"We'll help you plan what to do next. For him to regret. Did you catch him?" Suguru asked.
"Cameras in house..." you moaned softly as your face was buried in white man's chest.
"Do you have cameras oh! A sex tape about cheating..." the white-haired man muttered. "Do you have it? We can use it somehow."
You pointed to the bag with your things.
Geto reached over to pull out your laptop. And after a very short time of searching, he turned on the video that was there.
You turned away because you didn't want to see it.
"Fake orgasm." White Hair said at one point as he saw your husband's secretary squirm beneath him.
You might have guessed some strange comments...
Suguru sat silently and watched.
"Oh fuck, he has a bush... Was he even able to please you? Our dicks are bigger!" He said rubbing your back. "He doesn't know what a shaver is? Holy shit, such hair even on the balls is probably like nettles..."
You wanted to laugh at his comment.
"I haven't been in bed with him in two months." you said as your cheek rested against his shoulder.
"Admit it, all sex with him is fake orgasms."
"...Actually, most of the time..." You replied.
Geto laughed.
"Eeewww, man no... Tie it at least... Bleh... Who sane doesn't tie condoms when they take them off?! I can't look at this... He can't do anything before sex, during sex and after sex..."
"And now he'll probably go to sleep." The dark-haired man chuckled.
They both looked at the video.
Your husband suddenly lay down on the bed under the covers and fell asleep.
"He did." he laughed.
"Your husband is pussy..."
You looked at Satoru's mouth as he spoke.
Has he always had a mouth like that? So tempting?
You looked away not to think about it.
"We may share this to damage his reputation at work."
You looked at the dark haired man with your laptop on your lap.
You will have no consequences.
There are a lot of porn videos on the internet.
Revenge on your husband?
Yeah.
"Do it..." you said calmly.
Your eyes are slightly red from the tears you shed earlier.
"Are you sure?" he asked with a smile.
"Yeah."
Without much thought, the dark-haired man uploaded the video to a website and shared it.
Soon this video will also reach your husband. Many people in the city will recognize him.
That your husband will be embarrassed is a little comforting.
However, that didn't change anything in your shattered heart.
You loved your husband. Even though it was less and less as the weeks went by, you still tried to love him.
And now you've lost your husband. You're going to get a divorce for sure, and you have no one to comfort you except them.
However, you are very happy to have them. Because they as your friends and your neighbors knew a lot about you. And they were able to take care of your well-being.
Your legs were on one of Suguru's thighs as he closed the laptop and put it back in your bag.
"How long ago did you have good sex?" Gojo asked suddenly.
You looked at him blushing.
"Because you know... Sex will give you some relief."
"Satoru-kun...?"
"It's not like I'm suggesting you start fuck guys you like."
"What Satoru means is that good sex will de-stress you. But if you do it with just anyone, you'll ruin your reputation, and your husband will be in a winning position when he finds out."
With Suguru's explanation, it makes a little more sense now...
"We don't want him to feel good about you being outraged that he had sex. So why don't you do the same?"
You looked questioningly at Suguru.
They acted like they were reading each other's minds, and they both meant the same thing.
"You can make a sex tape, and in order not to give your husband the satisfaction of your unpleasantness in life, you can show him how good you felt at the time."
Her eyes widened and you blushed.
"...I don't know if that's a good idea... Besides... I'm not going to find a single guy who's going to make a sex tape for me..."
"Maybe there won't be one. But there are already two." Satoru pointed at both of them with his thumbs.
You suddenly got off his lap.
"Hold on... Are you serious? Or just joking?" You raised your hands almost defensively.
Defense against their prank? Or defense against their true words?
"Why should we be joking?" Geto muttered, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Y-You..."
"If you want to make a sex tape, we are at your disposal."
You looked at the white haired boy's slight smile.
They're not joking...
Are they really asking you to make a sex tape with them?
Do they like you at all?
Since your husband preferred his secretary, maybe that's the problem with you?
"No rush. We don't have to do this if you don't want to. However, remember us if you ever need a break from it all."
"Suguru is right. You don't have to agree, but if you change your mind, we'll be waiting for you. We've been waiting since we first met."
You widened your eyes as he said that.
They've been waiting for you since you first met?
Does it mean what you think?
Have they fallen in love with you?
Or maybe they just want to fuck you?
No... If that's all they wanted, they'd have tried to do it from the start... It's something else... They're always there when you need them. They do everything for you...
Even now they offer you something to forget what happened.
And later so you can show your husband that you had even more fun than you did with him.
"Are you really serious?"
"Yeah."
"...I want to do it..."
You said, convincing yourself to be firm with your words.
They told you that you'd need lube if you really wanted to have fun with them.
Even though you were already wet from their foreplay, they convinced you that you would need more.
You were lying on the bed as Suguru's fingers disappeared inside you and he applied lubricant all over your pussy.
Satoru was standing next to him. Hand on his cock under his boxers while he held the camera in the other hand to zoom in on his friend's work on your pussy.
You moaned as you watched them do whatever they wanted to your body.
At first, they had to convince you that you turned them on. Because you're older and have a husband. And they are students. So you thought they might prefer college girls.
But they started taking your clothes off, kissing you and touching you. To rub against you.
Squeeze your soft breasts and buttocks.
Slightly rocking your hips and their penises underneath your pants rubbing against your body in an erotic way.
You blushed when you saw them shirtless. So muscular... It was really sexy...
"Did you set up the camera correctly?" The dark haired man asked as he looked at the white haired man's smile.
"And what do you think?" he asked as his hand tightened slightly at his length.
The dark-haired man looked at him silently with a small smile, and then he took one of the closed condoms and slowly tore the foil, wrapping it around his thick shaft.
You were staring at the erotic scene in front of you.
Are you really going to fuck your neighbors?
You're their haunted neighbor... Should you?
You have a husband...
Fuck your husband! You hate him! And they want to do it with you! If they didn't want to, they wouldn't be so horny... Right?
You want to do it with them... You like them so much... And if they say they've been waiting for you... For now...
Suddenly you felt a movement on your finger. And you watched as Satoru's fingers take your wedding ring off his finger.
"You don't need that." He chuckled as he tossed the gold ring over his shoulder onto the floor.
It fell somewhere in the room and you doubt you'll find it soon.
He walked over to the camera stand he was holding and mounted it there, perfectly aimed at you.
You looked at the lens, seeing a red light that indicates that the camera is recording.
Suguru spread your thighs tighter as he massaged the length with his wet hand, adjusting the condom a bit so it wouldn't fall off for sure.
You felt the bed sag beside you and looked at White Hair's thigh next to your head as he sat up.
Smiling, he lifted your arms, placing your head on his thigh.
And your hand reached out to start massaging the smooth skin on his shaft.
As you focused on White Hair's hand on your chest, you felt Suguru nudge your entrance. And you let out a calming exhale to let your body relax.
What was about to happen is just beginning...
His fingers guided the tip into your pussy mouth, feeling the tight warmth around it.
He hummed as he thrust deeper into you.
Now you understand why he gave you lube... Even though you were so wet, you could have guessed that they would be afraid that you couldn't make it.
Because even without comparing their dicks, you understand their difference. Satoru is longer and Suguru is wider... But they're both big... Satoru is wide  enough anyway. And Suguru is so long.
Even though their bodies don't look like their sizes are off scale. They are just big men.
And from the beginning they exuded the energy of a big dick...
And now you will feel their big cocks on your body...
You arched your back as you felt his hips touch yours.
After a while, his hips began to move, and you felt him slide on the wetness inside.
And the tip of Satoru appeared at your mouth as he encouraged you to part your lips for him.
Once you realized that with Suguru's thrusts you would need to silence his moans, you opened your mouth for him, listening to him purr from the warmth of your tongue.
The tip and piece of his cock in your mouth, sending pleasant vibrations to his veined skin from the moans you pour from your throat.
And all because the wide cock of one of your neighbors is getting stuck in your pussy.
You were as tight as he thought...
"You should try that pussy later too, Satoru... So tight and willing..." He moaned to his friend, while Satoru enjoyed your warm lips.
He pressed himself closer to you, staying in place for a moment. And your legs trembled from feeling too full.
Everything is clearly visible on the camera.
A dick disappearing inside you, a dick in your mouth.
Their hands on your body.
Oh yeah, it's gonna be a great sex tape for them.
Perfect shots so they can watch it later.
As Gojo entered your mouth more, Geto's hips sped up, hitting your body harder.
The saliva in your mouth spilled onto your cheek as he kept his hand on your head, moving you along his length. His fingers collected your saliva from your cheek.
They smiled at each other before Gojo looked at the camera, sending the same smile as he held it to your lips.
As his friend's thrusts grew stronger, he pulled the tip out of your mouth before you could bite him.
Your jaw clenched as you suppressed moans by closing your mouth.
They laughed when they saw your face.
Your hands gripped Satoru's body as you sought some support to hold on to.
"You're sweet..." the white-haired man muttered. He grabbed your hands, holding you as you needed.
Who would have thought that one dick could make you such a mess...
They were curious how you would take two dicks.
The way his cock was wide was indescribable... You felt pressure on your G-spot as he moved. He stretched you so that his shaft pressed into your most sensitive places.
Satoru's hand reached between your legs, his fingers dancing over your clit.
And the white haired man's fingers let go as he saw his friend's frown as you trembled beneath him, clenching on him as orgasm washed over your body.
He left your walls looking at the mess your pussy has become.
"It's the first time you had an orgasm like this?" he asked with a small smile.
Your body reacted just like that.
Your husband probably couldn't please you so much.
"You promised me her pussy. Then give it to me." The white-haired man chuckled as he released your hands and Suguru lifted your body to turn you around.
The next time you opened your slightly watery eyes, you were lying on Satoru's chest.
As his tip insistently rubs against your entrance.
"I will do it raw. Suguru, take off the condom. Let's go on her raw."
They both laughed, and the dark haired man tugged on the rubber on his penis to take it off.
While he was at it, Satoru thrust into you, his tip kissing your deepest parts.
"The feeling without the condom is so much better..." he murmured as he felt your walls tighten around him. "Suguru... Let's do this..."
You heard a bottle and splashing. And then a big drop of something cold on your ass.
Two fingers stretching you. A little discomfort neutralized by the pleasant feeling of the cock inside you.
And the next moment, as you lay on his chest, you felt something much wider stretching your ass.
And its length slowly and gently pushes into your prepared ass.
Your body still and trembling when you couldn't move. Tears streaming from your eyes as you felt excessive feelings in your lower body.
Satoru's hands stroke your back reassuringly as you swing your hips out for them to give them more access.
For your and their pleasure.
They show you that they are so much better than your husband. In everything that can be.
"Our sex tape could be a lot longer than that, right? Baby? Let's have a nice fun~."

Heyyy
So I really liked the Damian Wayne x reader platonic friend thingy your wrote. I really feel like there should be more of those.
Anyways, k cam where to respect something similar. Can u maybe write hc on what it'd be like to be friends w him? Like bantering n stuff and maybe u can focus a bit on how Bruce feels abt it? Oh and bonus points if the reader is awkward.
Toodles!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Being friends with Damian isn’t easy in the slightest, mainly because he doesn’t make it easy for anyone to befriend him in the first place. So the fact that you managed to accomplish that was a major achievement already.
However that didn’t mean anything afterwards was made any easier for you just because you managed to make the impossible become possible. No. Why? Damian is one hell of a dry conversationalist if Titus or animals in general weren’t involved.
He’s basically an extroverts worst nightmare given a human form. For no matter how hard you tried to bait him into giving more then a one word answer out of him, it always ends with Damian not taking the bait and allowing a air of awkward silence to befall you both while everyone else was having a better time then you.
You: hey Damian.
Him: hello l/n.
You: how have you been?
Him: in peak condition, why?
You: it’s because I don’t see you that much outside of school, it’s almost as if your allergic to social interaction.
Him: Tt. why should I go out of my way to do such a thing? I have you as an acquaintance don’t I?
You: I mean yeah I guess-
Him: then I have no need to expand my friend group, for they’ll only disappoint me. Now is that all?
You: I mean there’s not much else to talk about at this point.
Him: good.
*cue to the pair of you sitting in utter, awkward silence*
When Damian says one friend is all he needs, he genuinely means it. One is enough for him. He doesn’t need anymore because he knows that he doesn’t have the time for them. Plus he might not say it out loud but he does appreciate your friendship, even if your both awkward individuals within most social situations, but he is happy that someone finally gave him a chance to be a friend.
So even if you were to ever ask why you were friends it’ll probably go something a bit like this;
You: why are you friends with me?
Him: you aren’t an idiot, plus you’re the only one who isn’t insufferable.
You: is that meant to be taken as a compliment or…
Him: take it as you see fit.
You: okay…
Damian as a friend would be protective i’d like to think? I mean you are literally the first friend he’s made so naturally he’s going to feel something when he sees you being friends with anyone else that wasn’t him.
Was it insecurity that you not day might not want to be his friend anymore? Possibly.
Will he ever admit to it though? No. This is Damian we’re talking about, of course he won’t.
Also being friends with Damian would best summed up as being two people who shouldn’t work but ultimately do either way, kind of like an ‘against all their differences they’re the best of friends’ type of duo because nobody and I mean nobody saw a friendship between you two ever happening. Ever.
Not even the great Bruce Wayne.
Speaking about him. If you ever got to visit the Wayne Manor and meet his father aka THE Bruce Wayne. Take it as a sign as you’ve made it as Damian’s best friend.
Would you shit yourself upon meeting quite possibly the most powerful man in Gotham? Yes and your sweating buckets on top of that, all the while Damian would be stood next to you completely unfazed as he introduced you to his father as his best mate.
Damian: father.
Bruce: Damian.
Damian: *points to you* this is my best friend and I expect that they get treated with respect during their visit here.
You: hi- hello it’s an honour to meet you M-Mr Wayne sir.
Bruce: tell me how you’ve come to befriend my son?
You: we were in the same art class and I noticed that he had no one to sit next to, and so I offered for him to sit with me, keep in mind I’m not that well liked and practically had a whole table to myself, and I’d like to think our friendship started with that small act of kindness Mr Wayne sir.
Bruce: and had Damian been kind to you?
You: in his own unique way sir but I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Bruce: *smiled* you’re a good kid l/n and you can go ahead and drop the formalities and call me Bruce instead. I shall go and tell Alfred to add another plate at the dinner table tonight.
Bruce, upon hearing that Damian had made a friend, wanted to meet you within immediate effect and see whether or not his son made for a good judge of character and he wasn’t disappointed.
Given the fact that you were awkward aside, you were defiantly what Damian needed for a friend, and Bruce was happy to see his son finally get to be normal for once as he watched from the window as Damian practically dragged you out to the spacious backyard with an excitable Titus on your heels as the Great Dane tried to get up and personal with you.
Alfred: they are certainly a pair, aren’t they master Bruce.
Bruce: an odd pair they may seem but they even out the other perfectly. Besides when was the last time Damian looked genuinely happy?
Alfred; can’t say that I recall sir.
Bruce: neither can I. At first I was sceptical but I’m glad being wrong. I can only hope that a friendship like theirs will stand the test of time because there will be times that will test their limits with one another. But if they’re as good a pair as I think they are then they’ll be perfectly fine.
Alfred: couldn’t have put it better myself sir *smiles alongside Bruce as they watched you and Damian act on your own within the others presence while in comfortable silence as Titus fell asleep at both of your feet.*
Yeah you’ll both be alright. You’ve got each other after all and that’s what matters at the end of the day.

Drawn to You
Pairings: Various Genshin Men x Isekai'd!Reader
Summary: You are Lumine, Aether, and Paimon's new traveling companion! Your existence is unknown and the four of you have been journeying around Teyvat, searching for who you are. Unfortunately, there are no records of you existing in any regions of Teyvat. Lumine, Aether, and Paimon introduce you to many new people, who cannot help but be drawn to you.
Note: This is a different version of "how" the reader got Isekai'd into Genshin Impact. I had this idea pop up in my mind two weeks ago and I wanted to get type it out and get it posted ASAP. If you haven't read the other version yet, it's called Crash Landing in Teyvat (linked below). Only this version won't have an entire backstory of the before and aftermath of the reader being Isekai'd into Genshin like the first post. This fic is longer than last week's fic, so, buckle up! To those who are new readers or not, please remember that I don't post anywhere else but on Tumblr (Genshinluvr) and on AO3 (Aaliah_exo).
Warnings: None that I know of... does the reader getting an allergic reaction to fish count? 🤔
Word Count: 12.8k
Want to read another version of how the reader gets isekai'd into Genshin Impact? Read Crash Landing in Teyvat!
You don’t have any recollection of your memories before you were woken up by two blonde twins towering over you with their floating companion peering down at you worriedly. The only thing you remember is your name, and that’s it. At first, the twins (who later introduce themselves as Aether and Lumine) and their floating companion (she introduced herself as Paimon and in the third person) were a little suspicious of you because of your lack of memory. But the more the twins and Paimon spent time with you, the more they’re starting to trust you. Because they discovered you floating in the ocean between Liyue Harbor and Mondstadt, Aether, and Lumine made it their goal to find out who you are.
You became Aether and Lumine’s other travel companion that isn’t floating! So, their friend, pretty much. Since you didn’t possess a vision, you’re sitting on the sidelines watching Aether and Lumine destroy monsters that stand in the way of your exploration. And now here you are, laying in the middle of the field, five hundred feet from Mondstadt.
“Come on, [Y/N]! Get up! I know you’re tired, but you need to get up so we can get to Mondstadt before the sunset!” Lumine says, nudging your foot with hers.
You groan and roll over to lie on your stomach. “But Lumineeee! It’s hot outside, and I’m tired!” You exclaim, shutting your eyes and shielding your eyes from the blinding sun rays.
“Tired from what?! You didn’t fight any hilichurls or mitachurls like Lumine, and I did!” Aether huffs, plopping down on the ground before laying on top of you.
You groan and bat at Aether. “Aether, get off of me! You’re heavy!”
Lumine rolls her eyes and shakes her head, her hands propped on her hips. “Come on. I know you’re tired, but we can rest up when we make it to Mondstadt. Plus, aren’t you getting a little bit hungry? Cause I’m starting to get hungry,” said Lumine.
On cue, your stomach starts to rumble. You grumble and push Aether off you before getting up from the ground. You dust the dirt and grass off your clothes and turn to the twins. As much as you don’t want to walk, the sound of food is too enticing to give up on.
“Alright, you got me. Let’s go to Mondstadt now,” you said, smiling sheepishly at the two blondes in front of you.
“Oh, finally! Let’s go now before Good Hunter closes!” Paimon exclaims, appearing out of thin air and stomping her feet in the air with excitement.
You, Aether, Lumine, and Paimon walk to the closest waypoint (which isn’t close at all) and teleport to Mondstadt. Today will be the first time you visit Mondstadt or any city in the world since your sudden arrival in Teyvat. While you have been traveling with the twins and exploring many locations, you have never stepped foot in any area that is occupied by the people of that region.
Most of the time, when you need to eat and drink, sleep, or shower, you would go into Aether and Lumine’s shared teapot to do those tasks. After all, that’s what their teapots are for, no? It’s their floating teapot that has a house inside where they can stay and relax during their travels. When the four of you step foot into Mondstadt (technically, it was you, Aether, and Lumine that step foot in Mondstadt. Paimon’s floating), you’re in awe of the architecture of the city around you.
“Wow, Mondstadt is beautiful,” you whisper.
The aroma of food wafts into your nose, making your stomach growl even louder than it did. Your eyes widen, and you cover your stomach with both hands, your cheeks feeling hot from how loud the growl was. Aether and Lumine snicker at your growling stomach before pulling you to Good Hunter by your arms. You nearly trip over the last step on the stairs, but luckily Aether and Lumine are there to catch you. Paimon is floating in front of Good Hunter, idly chatting with Sara and pointing out what she wants on the menu. You fix your clothes and continue to survey your surroundings.
Paimon pokes you at the back of your head. You blink and turn around, looking at Paimon quizzically. Paimon points at the menu.
“Do you know what you want to eat?” Paimon asks, handing the menu over to you.
You grab the menu and flip through it, trying to find something that appeals to you. Aether and Lumine trade looks with each other, the corner of their lips curving up.
“Paimon, how can [Y/N] know what they want to eat when they haven’t looked at the menu yet?” Lumine asks, propping her hands on her hips.
Paimon scoffs. “Hey, Paimon thinks that [Y/N] knows the basic things on Good Hunter’s menu! After all, they have tried a few things from the menu before!” Paimon exclaims, stomping her feet in the air like a petulant child.
“I think I’ll have the uh….” you trail off, staring down at the words in front of you, “chicken-mushroom skewer!” you say, closing the menu and handing it back to Sara.
Paimon, Aether, and Lumine stare at you blankly. You stare back at them, unsure why they’re giving you that look after saying what you wanted to eat. You blink, look back at the menu, then at the twins and Paimon.
“Is chicken-mushroom skewer the only thing you’re going to eat? Why not have something that will fill up your stomach?” Paimon asks, crossing her arms over her chest.
Sara hands the menu to you after Lumine gestures for her to give you the menu. You blink at Paimon and look down at the menu.
“Am I not allowed to eat chicken mushroom skewer? I don’t want the two of you to pay a lot of money on food because of me,” you said.
Lumine brushes your comment to the side. “Oh, don’t worry about Mora, [Y/N]! We would rather have you eat a lot of food than force yourself to eat a little bit because of Mora. Plus, we have plenty of Mora,” Lumine says, patting your shoulder.
“Alright, but I still want to eat chicken mushroom skewers! Don’t take that off my order,” you said.
“Chicken-mushroom skewers, you say? My, don’t you have great taste,” a suave voice coming from behind you interjects.
You freeze in your spot and slowly turn around to face the person that snuck up behind you while you were occupied with the menu.
“Oh, Captain Kaeya and Master Diluc! It’s good to see you two!” Paimon exclaims, waving at the two men standing behind you.
“What are you two doing here at Good Hunter?” Lumine asks, propping her hands on her hips while she and her brother trade looks with each other.
The redhead sighs and crosses his arms over his chest. “We’re here to meet up with the Chief Alchemist and the bard for lunch. Lunch is on me, as usual,” the redhead rolls his eyes.
Aether pokes you and points at the menu. “You still haven’t picked your other option,” said Aether.
You turn to look at the menu and pucker your lips, eyes scanning the menu once more. You have tried almost everything on the menu, and yet you’re not sure what you want to eat other than the chicken mushroom skewer. You know that one skewer isn’t going to satiate your hunger, but what else are you going to order? The number of eyes you feel on you is making you nervous. You can feel the heat rush to your face the longer the eyes bore into your soul.
You laugh nervously and fumble with your hands. “I’m not sure what else to pick to eat, you guys. There’s a lot on the menu that I’ve tried already, but I don’t know what to choose,” You said, turning to look at Aether with a defeated look.
“Why not pick everything on the menu?” Paimon asks, patting your head.
You clear your throat and whisper to Paimon, “Remember how I tried doing that last time? And how I ended up puking for the next five hours.”
“Maybe you shouldn’t do that,” a soft voice interrupts.
Paimon waves at the two approaching figures. “Albedo and Tone-Deaf Bard!” Paimon exclaims.
“That’s not a nice way to introduce me to your new friend, Paimon!” The anemo vision wielder says, turning to you with a sweet smile. “I am Venti, the bard! I’m not sure if these two lads have introduced themselves to you yet, but the grumpy redhead over there goes by Master Diluc. The dark blue-haired man with the eyepatch beside Master Diluc is Captain Kaeya,” Venti says, pointing at the people he’s introducing.
“I am assuming that the man standing next to you is the Chief Alchemist named Albedo?” You ask, looking over at Albedo.
Albedo nods, not saying a word.
“We can introduce ourselves to the Travelers’ new friend over lunch,” Kaeya says, shaking his head with a faint smile.
You look at the four men with surprise. “Oh! The four of you will be joining us for lunch?” You ask, looking at Aether and Lumine for confirmation.
“That wasn’t the original plan, but I don’t mind joining the four of you for lunch,” said Diluc.
“Do you not wish for us to join?” Albedo asks, tilting his head to the side while looking at you curiously.
Your eyes widen, and you quickly shake your head. “No, no, no, no! It’s not like that! I wanted to see if Aether, Lumine, and Paimon would be okay with us having lunch together! After all, the meeting was sudden, and it’d be nice to have someone join us for lunch!” You sputter, rubbing the back of your neck nervously.
“Alright, then let us all have lunch together then. You can leave the rest of the orders up to us. When the food arrives at the table, you can choose whatever you want to eat,” Diluc says, looking over at you.
You nod and walk to the table next to the food stall, sitting between Aether and Lumine. While Diluc, Kaeya, Venti, and Albedo are ordering food to eat, you rest your chin on the wooden table and close your eyes. You suddenly feel drained. You didn’t expect to be interacting with more people other than Sara from Good Hunter. Let alone four handsome men from Mondstadt, who are also friends with your friends.
“You never introduced yourself,” Kaeya says, sitting across from you.
You open your eyes and sit up with your back pressing against the chair. “I’m [Y/N],” you introduce yourself.
Venti looks at you curiously. “Judging by your outfit, you don’t look like you’re from here,” Venti says, crossing his legs under the table.
You shake your head. “And you’re correct, Venti. I’m not from here,” you said.
Now you’re starting to get a tiny bit nervous. What are you supposed to say when they ask you where you’re from? It’s not like you can make up an excuse and tell them you’re from another region. Your clothes don’t look like it's from any of the seven nations of Teyvat.
“If you don’t mind me asking, where are you from?” Albedo asks, propping both of his arms on the table while gazing at you curiously.
You clear your throat awkwardly and look over at Aether and Lumine, who shrug their shoulders, unsure of how else to answer Albedo’s question. Paimon laughs nervously before disappearing into thin air. Aether, Lumine, and Paimon’s reaction made Diluc, Kaeya, Albedo, and Venti raise their eyebrows.
“I’m not sure where I’m from. In fact, I don’t have any memories before waking up to Aether and Lumine giving me CPR,” you reply.
Lumine nods. “We found them floating in the waters outside of Liyue and Mondstadt. They were unconscious, and we tried searching for their records throughout Teyvat, but we came to a dead end,” Lumine explains.
“That’s strange…. So are you implying that there aren’t any records of their existence in Teyvat?” Diluc asks, raising his eyebrows at you, Aether, and Lumine.
Aether nods and looks over at you anxiously. “There aren’t any records of an [Y/N]’s in any regions of Teyat,” Aether breathes.
“Are you sure [Y/N]’s not lying about their name? What if they changed it, or they lied about their name?” Kaeya questions.
Aether points at Kaeya. “That’s the thing. Lumine and I assumed that at first, but there are no missing person cases in any region. Even if there were a missing person case in Teyvat, none of those people look like [Y/N] in the missing person posters,” Aether explains.
“Could they be another outlander?” Albedo asks.
You stare at the men blankly. “Possibly! But I don’t have any memory of what happened before waking up on the seashore. It’s frustrating not knowing much about myself other than my name,” you mutter, hunching forward and resting your forehead on the wooden table. “Do you know how much of a struggle it is for me to wake up every day not knowing who I am?”
“Oh, cheer up, [Y/N]! I’m sure all of your memories will come back to you soon!” Paimon says, hugging the back of your head while rubbing the top of your head with her left hand.
“Yeah! I’m sure you’ll get your memories back! It takes some time for you to recover your memories,” Venti says.
Venti gets up from his seat and walks to where you’re sitting. He leans down and engulfs you in his arms, rubbing your back. You let yourself melt in Venti’s comforting hug, resting your head on his shoulders, close to his neck, and closing your eyes. The sound of someone clearing their throat pulls you out of your thoughts. You open your eyes and pull from Venti’s hug, rubbing the back of your neck with a sheepish smile on your face.
About ten minutes later, the food arrives, and you all begin eating while conversing with each other. You ate your chicken mushroom skewer, still undecided about what you wanted to eat other than the food you ordered. Whichever food Kaeya, Diluc, Aether, Venti, and Albedo recommend for you to try, you would take one small piece of the food and try it out. Since you have tried the food these men have suggested, you end up sticking to the chicken mushroom skewers.
“Thank you all for the suggestions, but I’ll stick to what I have ordered. Plus, there were a lot of recommendations, and I don’t know what I want to eat,” you said.
Technically you were lying because you didn’t want to hurt any of their feelings if you were to choose one person’s recommendation over the other. Not only that, if you ate what every person had recommended, you would end up overeating and give yourself indigestion. Which has happened before, and you don’t want it to happen again.
“It’s nice meeting all four of you! I hope to see you all again in the future!” You said, smiling at the four men in front of you while preparing your leave for the next region.
You stretch your arms in the air and yawn, covering your mouth and rubbing the tears that formed in your eyes. To you, you probably look like an exhausted mess, but to the four men in front of you (counting Aether, so five), you look cute. There’s something about you that draws you to them, and they can’t put their fingers on it.
“Oh no, are you getting sleepy?” Lumine teases, poking you lightly in the stomach.
You squawked and batted Lumine’s hands away from your stomach with a flustered look on your face. The men stifled their laugh and quickly looked away when you heard someone snort. You blink at them and look over at Lumine.
You rub your eyes and sigh. “I always get sleepy after I’m done eating, but since I didn’t eat as much as I did last time, I’m not entirely sure why I’m sleepy,” you mutter.
“You can’t be sleepy now! We’re heading off to Liyue soon! Don’t you want to watch the opera in Liyue Harbor or listen to the Storyteller?” Paimon asks, lightly tugging on your hair.
“I do! But at least let me take a nap first!” You grumble, leaning on the closest person and closing your eyes.
Lumine gives Kaeya an apologetic smile before pulling you off him. “We should be heading off to Liyue Harbor now. It’s a good thing you bought a souvenir earlier before lunch,” Lumine says, patting your cheeks to make sure you’re awake.
Before Lumine and Aether pull you away from the group, you turn to them and give them a sleepy smile, and wave goodbye to them.
“Thank you for joining us for lunch! It was nice meeting all of you! I hope to see you all again soon!” You said, stumbling after Aether and Lumine.
Diluc, Kaeya, Albedo, and Venti watch you and the twins walk out of the city. While they kind of got to know you within almost two hours, they want to continue to get to know who you are and help you recover your memories if it was possible. After seeing you leave, the four men couldn’t help but feel empty. Maybe someday, fate will bring you back to them. And by fate, they meant the two blonde twins and Paimon.
At Liyue Harbor, you’re leaning against the wooden railing of the Harbor, taking in a deep breath with your eyes closed. When you, Aether, Lumine, and Paimon step foot into Liyue Harbor, they’re almost immediately whisked away by Ying’er for a short commission. While Aether and Lumine are hesitant to leave you alone in Liyue Harbor, Paimon volunteers to be your babysitter while the two are out helping Ying’er with her commission.
“I’m bored! Let’s go get something to eat while we wait for Aether and Lumine to return from their commission with Ying’er!” Paimon says, floating beside you.
You look over at Paimon with wide eyes. “We ate not too long ago! How are you hungry right now?!” You squeak.
“Paimon is always hungry, [Y/N]! Plus, we can always listen to the Storyteller while we eat!” Paimon says, grabbing onto your shirt's sleeve and tugging it. “Now, come on! We can’t be late!” Paimon exclaims.
You hold Paimon’s hand and shake your head. “Paimon, I think you forgot that we don’t have any Mora on us,” you frown.
“So? We don’t have to eat! We can just sit at an empty table and listen to the Storyteller!” Paimon gives you a pleading look.
You hesitate. “I don’t know, Paimon. What if Aether and Lumine finish Ying’er’s commission early and search for us?” You ask.
Paimon lets out an exasperated sigh. “Ying’er’s shop is close to where the Storyteller is! Don’t be a worry wart, [Y/N]!”
“Alright, Paimon. But we’re not eating anything because we ate less than an hour ago, and we don’t have any Mora on us.” You let out a sigh of defeat.
“Deal!” Paimon nods happily.
You let Paimon drag you to Third-Round Knockout in Liyue Harbor while trying to dodge the civilians without bumping into them. When you and Paimon arrive at Third-Round Knockout, you notice that all of the tables are taken and that there’s nowhere for you and Paimon to sit. Well, mainly you since Paimon floats in the air most of the time.
“Aw! There’s nowhere to sit!” Paimon exclaims, looking around with disappointment.
You smile at Paimon and pat her head. “It’s okay, Paimon! We can stand to the side and listen to the Storyteller,” you suggest.
Paimon shakes her head stubbornly. “No way! It’s unfair if we stand to the side and listen to the Storyteller because you have nowhere to sit, and your feet are going to hurt from standing for a long time!” Paimon says.
“I don’t think we’ll be listening to the Storyteller for that long, Paimon,” You say. “Again, it’s okay if we stand to the side and listen to the Storyteller! Maybe we can grab a table when someone leaves.”
Paimon scans the table at Third-Round Knockout when she sees familiar faces sitting at a table close to the stairs. Paimon perks up and waves her hand in the air to grab the table’s attention.
“Zhongli and Childe!” Paimon grabs onto the sleeves of your shirt and pulls you in their direction.
Zhongli and Childe look up from their meals and sees you and Paimon making your way to their table. You can’t help but feel like a child being dragged around by their parent while going out grocery shopping. The way Paimon pulls you over to these Zhongli and Childe people reminds you of when a mother sees an old friend and ends up having a long conversation with them while the child stands to the side for over five minutes while the adults interact.
“Oh, Paimon! It’s good to see you again! Where are Aether and Lumine?” Childe asks, resting his chin in the palm of his hand.
Paimon sighs. “Aether and Lumine are helping Ying’er with her commission right now. I am tasked to babysit [Y/N] here since it is their first time visiting Liyue!” Paimon pats your head.
“Why did you have to put it that way? Why can’t it be two friends hanging out?” You mutter to Paimon while avoiding two pairs of curious eyes.
“Paimon, care to introduce your and the two Travelers’ new friend?” Zhongli speaks up, taking a sip of his tea without taking his eyes off you.
“This is [Y/N]! Aether, Lumine, and I fished [Y/N] out of the ocean,” Paimon pats your head with a smile on her face.
Childe raises his eyebrow at Paimon’s comment. “Fished [Y/N] out of the water? What, are they a mermaid?” Childe asks sarcastically.
“I wish! But unfortunately, I’m an amnesiac,” you reply humorlessly. “Anyway! It’s nice to meet you two! Aether and Lumine have mentioned you two a couple of times to me before. I didn’t expect to run into you two so soon,” you said.
Zhongli sets his chopsticks down on the ceramic plate. “Care to clarify what you mean when you said that you’re an amnesiac?”
You turn to look at Paimon. “Should I?”
Paimon shrugs her shoulders. “That’s up to you!” Replies Paimon.
You and Paimon sit across Zhongli and Childe, explaining your situation and how you end up being Aether, Lumine, and Paimon’s traveling partner. When you mentioned going from region to region to search for your identity and to see if you might be a missing person from the region, it piqued Childe and Zhongli’s curiosity.
“I never popped up in any system. Mondstadt, Sumeru, Inazuma, Liyue, Snezhnaya, Natlan, and Fontaine. None. My name is [Y/N], and I am sure that I did not change my name, and without a doubt, I am certain that [Y/N] is my name,” you said, rubbing the napkin between your thumb and index finger.
“Strange, huh?” Paimon asks, looking over at the two men sitting across from you and Paimon. “[Y/N], you should try this food! It’s delicious!” Paimon changes the subject, pushing the plate of fish in your direction.
You give Paimon a look. “Paimon, this is their food. I’m not going to eat another person’s food, plus I’m still full from earlier,” you said, rubbing your stomach.
“It’s alright. You two can have some of our food. I think we ordered too much anyway,” Childe says, letting his chopsticks clatter on the plate.
You sigh and grab an unused chopstick, breaking off a piece of fish before taking a bite out of it. You chew and swallow the fish, placing the chopstick on the plate. Paimon looks at you with anticipation.
“So? What do you think?” Paimon asks excitedly.
You lick your lips and look around you, smacking your lips lightly. “You know how I have no memory of who I am?” You suddenly ask.
Paimon, Childe, and Zhongli look at you quizzically. “Uh, yes?” Paimon replies in an unsure tone.
“I don’t think I was a fan of seafood or fish, to be more specific,” you said, scrunching your face and rubbing your neck with your right hand.
“What?! What kind of person isn’t a fan of seafood or fish!?” Paimon exclaims.
After hearing Paimon’s exclamation, Childe slowly turns to look at the Liyuen man next to him. Zhongli ignores the look Childe is giving him and quietly takes a sip of his tea. Your mouth is starting to tingle and feel weird, making you furrow your eyebrows and silently smack your lips, deep in your thoughts.
“People who have eaten too many fish and seafood, apparently,” you reply, attempting to ignore the strange sensation in your mouth.
The inside of your throat begins to itch, making you shift around in your seat and clear your throat softly. Ever since you arrived in Teyvat, you have never had such a reaction after eating something. Could you be allergic to the dish?
You cough and rub your throat, eyebrows knitting together with discomfort. Zhongli looks up from his teacup and looks at you worriedly.
Paimon taps your shoulders. “Are you okay, [Y/N]? You’re coughing a lot, and it’s starting to make Paimon worried,” Paimon says.
You give Paimon a weak smile and swallow the saliva, almost visibly wincing when you feel the walls in your throat rub against each other uncomfortably. “My throat is feeling dry and a bit itchy,” you said.
“Do you, perhaps, want some tea to quench your dry throat?” Zhongli asks.
You look at Zhongli and nod your head eagerly. “Ah, a drink! Yes, please, that would be nice.” You croak.
You clear your throat again while Zhongli calls the waiter over to order you some tea to quench your dry throat. While the waiter went to fetch you something to drink, you continued to rub your neck with your hand, occasionally swallowing to feel the strange sensation in your throat. You look down at the fish and grab your chopsticks, poking it lightly and dissecting it apart to see what is inside of the food. The fish tastes decent; you’re only saying that because you’re not a massive fan of anything seafood or any food with fish.
When the waiter comes back with your teacup, you give him a thankful smile before lifting the cup to your lips and blowing on it to cool the tea down and take a sip of it. When you drink the tea, you can’t help but wince at the feeling when it goes down your throat. You scratch your neck and cough lightly into your elbow. When you pull your arm away from your face, you notice small bumps forming on your arms.
“Oh no,” you squeak, looking around nervously. “Hey, uh, does anyone know where I can go to the nearest doctor? Or some physician?” You ask, tapping your fingers on the table anxiously.
“Why? Is something wrong?” Paimon asks.
You continue to scratch your neck; you fear that the more your neck itches, the more you will tear your neck up with your nails. “I just found out that I’m allergic to fish,” you sigh.
The sound of chopsticks clattering loudly on the fine china; Childe and Zhongli look at you worriedly, getting up from their seats.
“How allergic are you?” Childe asks, walking over to you.
You shrug your shoulders. “I don’t know how severely allergic I am, but my mouth feels tingly, my throat is itching, and there are bumps forming on my arms,” You ramble, trying to soothe the irritations.
“Get [Y/N] to Bubu Pharmacy immediately,” Zhongli orders.
Childe lifts you up, carries you bridal style, and sprints to the nearest waypoint, with Zhongli and Paimon following close behind. When teleported to the waypoint that is closest to Bubu Pharmacy, Childe rushes up the stairs toward the building. You feel your throat beginning to close up, making it hard for you to breathe. Childe bursts through the entrance, startling the receptionist and other customers.
A green-haired man with a snake around his neck walks out of the back room, looking at Childe, Zhongli, Paimon, and you with confusion. When his eyes lands on you, he looks horrified. You don’t know what you look like, and quite frankly, you don’t want to see what you look like.
“Qiqi, please treat to the Yaksha while I treat the new visitors,” The green-haired man instructs. The little girl nods and walks over to the Yaksha off to the side. The green-haired man rushes over to you and checks up on you and the bumps forming on your arms.
“They’re having a severe allergic reaction. Did they happen to eat something they’re allergic to?” The green-haired physician asks, walking behind the counter and scrambling to find medicine to treat your allergic reaction.
Paimon laughs nervously. “They ate fish, but that was it! Doctor Baizhu, we didn’t know they’re allergic to fish, and neither did they!” Paimon exclaims.
Baizhu walks over to you and jabs your thigh with a long syringe, injecting you with the medicine to treat your allergic reaction. You feel yourself go limp in Childe’s arms, exhaustion coming over you. The swelling in your throat gradually goes away, finally letting you breathe.
Baizhu retracts the syringe from your thighs and tosses it into the trash bin. “You’re lucky to get them here just in time before it gets worse,” Baizhu sighs, looking over at you worriedly.
“Yeah, very lucky,” you mutter, your head resting against Childe’s chest, gazing at the green-haired physician with bleary eyes. “I didn’t even know that I was allergic to fish until moments ago,” you said.
“Humans are fragile,” Someone interjects.
You peek your head from Childe’s shoulder, only to see a shorter male stand beside Zhongli with his arms over his chest. You notice a bandage wrapped around his arms and torso, his eyebrows slightly furrowing. You couldn’t tell if he was glaring at you or if it was because he was in pain. Either way, he did not look too happy.
Baizhu looks over at Xiao with a surprised look on his face. “Oh, Xiao! You have recovered quicker than I thought,” Baizhu says thoughtfully.
Xiao grunts in response and nods. “It’s all thanks to your medicine and Qiqi’s help,” Xiao says, looking over at the small girl behind the counter.
Childe sits you down on a seat in the corner of the pharmacy. You rest your head against the wall, your eyelids feeling heavy. You’re not sure whether your sudden tiredness was from the medicine that was injected into you to treat your allergic reaction, or if it was because you had a long day and if it’s finally taking a toll on you.
You’re about to doze off when you feel someone nudge your leg with their foot. You open your eyes and see Xiao standing in front of you.
“Are you okay?” He asks.
You stare at him and nod your head slowly. “Yeah, I’m feeling better than I did before arriving at Bubu Pharmacy,” you reply, clearing your throat. You’re relieved that the itchiness in your throat and the swelling went away. The bumps, on the other hand, the bumps are still there, but they’re slowly fading.
“That’s good to hear. Paimon, Zhongli, that Harbinger, and Doctor Baizhu looked really worried when you first arrived at the pharmacy,” said Xiao. “After seeing the condition you were in, I can see why they were terrified.”
You smile at Xiao and rub the area where Baizhu had jabbed the syringe into your thigh. “I’m glad they cared enough to help me with my allergic reaction. I didn’t know I was allergic to fish until today, and now, I will be avoiding food with fish in it,” you said.
Before Xiao could say anything else, the door of Bubu Pharmacy flew open, and Lumine and Aether ran through the door, looking around frantically. When their eyes land on you, Aether runs and tackles you into a hug, nearly tipping your seat back and sending the both of you to the ground if it weren’t for the wall behind the chair. Lumine laughs nervously when people look over at your small group weirdly. Lumine shuffles over to where you and Aether are, yanks Aether off you, and gives him a look as if she’s telling him to behave.
“Where were you guys?! We thought you and Paimon would still be at the docks where we left you two before doing Ying’er’s commission!” Lumine exclaims, crossing her arms over her chest while glaring at you and Paimon.
“Where were we?! Where were you two!? We couldn’t stand and wait in the hot sun for a few hours while you two were running around with Ying’er! Plus, Paimon wanted to hear the Storyteller’s stories!” Paimon exclaims, huffing loudly.
“She also wanted to get something to eat while we waited,” you interject, getting up from your seat. “I also found out that I am allergic to fish. I think it’s severe,” you add.
“You think it’s severe? Your throat closed up, and you had hives!” Paimon exclaims.
You blink at Paimon. “But I’m okay now, right?”
Everyone can see the steam starting to come out of Paimon’s ears. “You’re okay now because of Zhongli, Childe, and Doctor Baizhu! If it weren’t for them, you would’ve died!” Paimon screeches, shaking you by your shoulders.
“Hey! I almost died, and this is how you treat me!? You’re so mean!” You whine.
You pull Paimon’s hands from your shoulders before hiding behind Zhongli; he looks strong and intimidating. You point at Paimon.
“Tell her to stop, Zhongli! Paimon is being mean to me despite me almost dying from my allergies.” You peek from behind Zhongli and narrow your eyes at Paimon, who glares back at you.
Lumine sighs and rubs her temples. “We don’t have time for you two to bicker right now. We have to leave for Inazuma very soon,” said Lumine.
You walk out from behind Zhongli and stare at Lumine quizzically. “We’re going to Inazuma already? But we arrived in Liyue not too long ago!” You exclaim.
“Yeah! Plus, you two have been out with Ying’er all day! We might as well eat something in Liyue before we leave for Inazuma!” Paimon says.
“Again?” Your eyes widen, and your eyebrows fly to your hairline. “Okay, listen, if we’re going to eat again, please don’t order anything that has fish in it,” you plead, clasping your hands together.
And now here you are, sitting at Xinyue Kiosk, sitting between Zhongli and Childe while Aether, Lumine, Paimon, Xiao, and Doctor Baizhu are sitting across from the three of you. The food that is brought out and placed in front of the eight of you, you nearly cried. The majority of the food has fish in it. One food, in particular, has caught your attention. You’re about to reach for the fullmoon egg when you see Zhongli shake his head from the corner of your eyes.
“The fullmoon egg has fish in it,” Zhongli says.
You point over at the golden shrimp balls. “Can I eat these? Or is it going to make me go into another allergic reaction?” You ask.
“As long as you don’t have shellfish allergies, then you should be fine,” said Baizhu.
You stare at Baizhu for a moment before shrugging your shoulders. “You only live once,” you said, grabbing a golden shrimp ball and taking a bite out of it. The golden shrimp ball is delicious; luckily, you didn’t have any allergic reaction to the shrimp balls. It’s a good thing you’re not allergic to shellfish because the golden crab got your attention. You reached across the table and took a piece of the golden crab, and put it on your plate before grabbing the small bowl of rice and pouring a small amount of soy sauce on the rice. As much as you would love to try the other dishes in the center of the table, most of them contain fish, and you weren’t that hungry.
You’re still full from lunch earlier in Mondstadt. You eat your food in silence while people around you converse with each other. You subconsciously rub your throat and look at your hands, checking to see if the hives have gone away. To your relief, the bumps are gone, and your neck feels fine. There’s no itchiness and swelling, thank archons.
“Then we’ll be leaving for Inazuma after,” you hear Lumine say.
You look up at Lumine and blink at her. “So, your plan is that we travel to other nations within one day?”  You ask, raising your eyebrows at her.
Lumine nods her head slowly. “Yes, and you did say that you wanted to meet our,” she gestures between herself and Aether, “friends in the nations we have traveled to! So it’ll be nice to finish it in one day and continue our mission.”
“Huh, I forgot that I wanted to do that,” you mutter, pinching the fat of your chin with your lips puckered. “I don’t mind going to Inazuma after eating, but I think we should rest for a bit before going to Inazuma.”
“If you’re getting sleepy, you can always lay your head on my shoulders and take a nap,” Childe suggests, turning to look at you.
You look at Childe, surprised. “Um, are you sure? Plus, I don’t think it's appropriate for me to take a nap at a nice restaurant like this,” you said, laying your hands fall in your lap. “Actually, I think I’m going to get some fresh air! Hopefully, that’ll wake me up a little bit,” you said.
You give everyone a smile and excuse yourself. You leave Xinyue Kisok and sit on the ground, leaning your head against the wall and closing your eyes. When you left Xinyue Kiosk, you noticed that the sun was beginning to set and there weren’t many people around.
You hear the restaurant’s door open and someone hesitantly walking towards you by the way they stop halfway. You crack your eyes open and see Xiao standing in front of you, looking at his and your surroundings. You rub your eyes and slowly stand up.
“Xiao? What are you doing out here? Shouldn’t you be inside with the rest of them?” You ask, rubbing your arms.
Xiao looks at you. “I can say the same for you,” he replies.
“I’m getting some fresh air. I’m hoping it’ll wake me up, but the cool night air is making me even sleepier than I thought,” you sigh.
Without saying another word, Xiao sits down beside you and makes you lay your head on his shoulders. You scoot closer to Xiao and rest your head in the crook of his neck, your arms brushing against his. You feel yourself slowly beginning to doze off to sleep, but you’re awoken by the cool breeze. You shiver and open your eyes, rubbing them with your knuckles.
“I don’t think I’ll be able to nap out here when it’s cold,” you mutter. You continue to rest your head on Xiao’s shoulders. “Thank you for keeping me company, even though you didn’t need to do it,” you murmur.
Xiao grunts in response, the tips of his ears light pink along with the apples of his cheeks. You lift your head, and Xiao stands up, holding his hand out for you to take. You grab Xiao’s hand, and he helps you up from the ground. The two of you walk back into Xinyue Kisok, only to see everyone standing from their seats.
“Oh, is everyone done eating?” You ask, walking over to the table with Xiao walking beside you.
Baizhu looks at you and examines you from head to toe. “How are you feeling?” Baizhu asks.
You rub your leg and give him a thumbs up. “I’m feeling good! The area where you jabbed my leg with the syringe isn’t hurting anymore,” you said.
“Are you ready to go to Inazuma?” Aether asks, walking up to you with Lumine trailing behind him.
You nod your head. “Yeah, I’m ready to go! But, uh, where are we going to be staying when it's time for bed?” You ask.
Lumine chuckles and ruffles your hair. “Did you forget that we have a house to stay in the teapot?” Lumine asks, raising her eyebrows at you.
“Oh! Right, yeah, I forgot about the teapot,” you laugh sheepishly. “Sorry, I’m a little bit out of it,” you clear your throat.
“Hey, it’s okay! You had a bit of a rough start in Liyue. Hopefully, it’ll get better in Inazuma!” Paimon says, giving your head a comforting head pat.
“I hope so too,” you sulk.
Zhongli ends up offering to walk you, Aether, Lumine, and Paimon to the nearest waypoint so you four can go to your next destination. Childe, Xiao, and Baizhu decide to tag along; they say something about wanting to keep the funeral consultant company. Before walking to the waypoint, you stop in your tracks.
“Ah, crap. Is it too late for me to buy a souvenir before we leave Liyue?” You ask, searching for a shop nearby.
Paimon snorts. “With what Mora?” Paimon asks.
You look at Paimon with your mouth agape. “You didn’t need to call me out like that, Paimon.” You huff, crossing your arms over your chest. “And for your information, I do have Mora on me!” You said, pulling out a bag of Mora from your pockets with a proud smirk on your face.
You end up stopping by the closest jewelry shop in Liyue, buying a Liyuen hair stick with cor lapis, glaze lilies, and glaze lily petals decorating the gold hair stick.
“It looks pretty! You should wear it now!” Lumine says.
You stare at her blankly and scratch your head. “Can someone help me put it on? I’m afraid I might mess it up and not wear it correctly,” holding out the hair sticks.
Baizhu walks over to you and begins to style your hair, combing his fingers through your hair and putting one part of your hair into a bun and the other remaining down. After getting your hair to be the way he wanted it to be, Baizhu grabs the hair sticks from your hands and sticks them through your hair, letting the glaze lily petals dangle.
You turn to Baizhu and give him a smile. “Thank you for helping me, Baizhu!”
Baizhu clears his throat and gives you a smile in return, his cheeks turning bright pink when you smile at him. You run over to Lumine, Aether, and Paimon to show your new hairstyle with the hair sticks in your hair. Lumine twirls you around and compliments your hair. Aether stares at you with stars in his eyes, unable to take his eyes away from you. Paimon was the first one to notice and slowly turned to look at the four guests. They were also looking at you that way, unaware that they were staring at you with the same expression Aether had on his face.
“I think we should get going now. Wouldn’t want to arrive in Inazuma when everyone is asleep,” Paimon says, grabbing everyone’s attention.
“Oh! Right! Let's go!” Lumine says, pulling you to the waypoint with the others following behind.
When you, Aether, Lumine, and Paimon arrive at the waypoint, the four of you stand around the waypoint. You wave at Xiao, Zhongli, Childe, and Baizhu goodbye before placing your hand on the waypoint. They wave back at you, watching the four of you disappear in front of their eyes. They hope to see you again; there’s something about you that draws them to you, and they can’t put their fingers on it.
When you all step into Inazuma, the sun has already set, and night has fallen. You turn to look at the twins and Paimon.
“It’s nightfall. Do you think everyone is awake at a time like this?” You ask.
Aether shrugs his shoulders. “Who knows! Some are awake, and others might be asleep around this time, but it’s still early in the night,” says Aether.
“I think you meant to say that the night is still young,” Paimon says.
The four of you walk into Inazuma City, searching around for the first person that came into Aether and Lumine’s head. The smell of Inazuman food lingers in the air, making your mouth water. The sound of children laughing, people conversing, and food sizzling fills the night in Inazuma City.
“Oh, look! It’s Heizou and Itto!” Paimon says, pointing over at where Itto and Heizou are standing.
You turn to look in the direction where Paimon is pointing. You see a magenta-haired male standing beside a tall, horned white-haired man with red streaks in his hair. Approaching the two men are a platinum blond-haired man with a single orange streak in his hair and a light orange-brown-haired man with dog ears.
“And there’s Gorou and Kazuha!” Lumine crosses her arms over her chest. “I wonder if the other two are going to join after Gorou and Kazuha,” Lumine murmurs, stroking her chin.
You look at Lumine quizzically. “Other two?” You ask.
“She’s talking about Kamisato Ayato and Thoma,” replies Aether.
“Let’s go say hi to the four of them!” Paimon says, ushering you, Lumine, and Aether over to the four men.
As you’re approaching the four men, the oni spots you four. Itto’s eyes light up, and he waves in your direction with a big smile.
“Aether! Lumine! Floating lavender melon! It’s good to see you guys again!” Itto says, walking toward you, Paimon, Aether, and Lumine.
You stifle your laughter. “Floating lavender melon? Care to explain how you got that nickname, Paimon?” You ask, turning to look at the floating girl with a teasing smile.
“Oh? And who are you?” Heizou asks, gazing at you with interest. “A new face around the city? If I've seen one, I would recognize a pretty face, but this is the first time I see you.” Heizou smiles at you.
“Are you the Travelers’ new friend?” Kazuha asks, his head tilting to the side.
You smile at them shyly and nod your head. “Yes, I am Aether, Lumine, and Paimon’s new friend! I guess you can also say traveling companion since I have been traveling around Teyvat with the three of them not too long now,” you said.
“Gorou, Itto, Heizou, Kazuha, meet [Y/N]! [Y/N], meet Itto, Gorou, Kazuha, and Heizou!” Paimon introduces you to the four men in front of you, pointing at each person as she says their name.
“Lord Ayato and Thoma will be arriving shortly,” Gorou interjects.
You look at them curiously. “Oh! Are you all gathering for dinner?” You ask.
Itto shakes his head. “Nope! We are all meeting for tea and some beetle fight!” Itto says, propping his hands on his hip and striking a pose.
You blink at Itto owlishly. “What is a beetle fight?” You ask.
“Huh!? You’ve never heard of a beetle fight?!” Itto asks in disbelief, his eyes wide with genuine shock.
You shake your head, looking at Itto confused. “Is it part of Inazuma’s culture?”
“It’s not. It’s a game that Itto came up with and challenged many people to it,” Gorou replies. “That is why he has invited Lord Ayato to the Komore Teahouse. To have some tea and to challenge the Kamisato Heir to another round of the beetle fight.” Gorou adds.
“He lost the previous rounds to Lord Ayato, didn’t he?” You whisper.
“That is correct, and he has not stopped pestering me about it ever since,” a voice speaks up behind you and Gorou, startling the both of you.
You and Gorou turn around to see a tall, elegantly dressed, light-blue-haired man and a tall, blond man standing at his side. You clutch onto your chest and clear your throat, feeling your face heat up when both men look at you curiously.
“H-Hi! I presume that you’re Lord Ayato,” you point at the light-blue-haired man, “and you’re Thoma,” you said, pointing at the blond man standing beside Lord Ayato.
“You’re correct! It’s nice to meet you, [Y/N]! Aether and Lumine had mentioned you a few times when they were visiting the Kamisato Estate when running errands,” says Thoma, smiling at you.
“Now that everyone is here, I think we should go to Komore Teahouse now,” says Heizou, gesturing for everyone to follow him.
When you all arrive at Komore Teahouse, you’re all greeted by a dog that goes by the name of Taroumaru. You refrained from letting out the biggest squeal after seeing the absolute cutie before casually making your way over to the dog and petting it.
“You all can go beetle fighting. I’m going to hang out with my new friend,” you said, stroking Taroumaro’s ears happily. “So cute,” you coo.
“We don’t want to leave you out, [Y/N]. Care to join us and watch the battle between Itto and Lord Ayato?” Kazuha asks, holding his hand out for you to take.
Not wanting to seem rude, you take Kazuha’s offer and grab his hand, letting him guide you to the tea room where everyone is waiting. There on the table sits two large purple onikabutos. When you say that they’re huge, they are huge!
You back up and point at the onikabutos, eyes wide. “They’re huge,” you point out the obvious.
“Yeah! It’s a shame I couldn’t find any bigger ones, though,” Itto says, hunching over with a small pout on his face.
You look at Itto in horror. “Are you saying there are onikabutos that are the size of Paimon?” You point over at Paimon.
“Believe it or not, yeah! There are onikabutos that can grow up to the size of Paimon, maybe bigger than Paimon,” Thoma says, nodding his head.
You point over to the corner. “I’m just going to stand from a safe distance to watch the beetle fight between Itto and Lord Ayato,” you said, walking to the farthest part of the room.
There’s no way in hell you’re going to stand that close to onikabutos that are almost half your size. No way, no thank you! In fact, you don’t mind booking it to Sumeru immediately if you can! But seeing Aether, Lumine, and Paimon happily munch on Dangos while betting on who’s going to win the beetle fight, you decide to keep to yourself. Lord Ayato laughs to himself and sits behind his onikabuto while Itto sits across from him, hyping up his onikabuto.
“Who do you think is going to win, [Y/N]?” Heizou asks, looking over his shoulders and in your direction.
You blink at Heizou and look at Itto and Lord Ayato. “I’m going to be optimistic and say Itto! Lord Ayato may have won the previous rounds of the beetle fight; I have a feeling Itto might win this one!” You said.
“Let’s hope you’re right because if Itto loses, we won’t hear the end of it,” Gorou says, his ears flattening on his head. “Itto won’t stop until he wins.”
Itto and Lord Ayato start to shout incoherent words at each other and their onikabutos, startling you. You find it amusing that someone as refined as Lord Ayato would be playing beetle fight with the one and oni, Arataki Itto. You hide your smile behind your hands and watch the two beetles try to flip the other one over.
“beetle fight is quite intense, especially if you’re as competitive as Itto,” Kazuha says, leaning against the wall beside you. “Would you ever play beetle fight?” Kazuha asks suddenly, looking at you from the corner of his eyes.
“Oh, uh, I don’t think so. I would rather be the cheerleader than the one initiating the fight,” you laugh sheepishly.
Itto hollers from across the room, “Oh, come on, [Y/N]! You should totally try it out! I’ll be your coach and teach you everything you need to know about the art of beetle fights!”
Lord Ayato snorts. “I’m sure [Y/N] would want someone skilled to be their coach. I have won many beetle fights against you, Itto. Surely I’m the better candidate,” Lord Ayato says nonchalantly, smiling at Itto.
“Let’s not trash talk right now, Lord Ayato. I think you’re going to set Itto off,” Thoma laughs nervously, patting the Kamisato Heir’s shoulders. “But if [Y/N] does want to get into beetle fighting, I’m sure having both of you as their coach would help them a lot! Right, [Y/N]?” Thoma asks, turning to look at you with a nervous smile.
You nod after catching onto what Thoma is trying to imply. “Ah! Yes! That’s right! Why have one coach when you can have two? I’ll learn more knowledge from two different people!”
Lord Ayato sighs and leans back. “Alright, if two coaches are what you want, then two coaches is what you’ll get,” said Lord Ayato.
Your conversation is cut short when you hear Aether and Lumine cheer and gasp loudly. You look at the table and see Lord Ayato’s onikabuto flipped on its back, wiggling and squirming around while Itto’s onikabuto is victorious.
“The winner of this beetle fight is Itto’s onikabuto!” Paimon announces.
Kazuha chuckles. “My, my, it seems like you have predicted Itto’s victory, [Y/N],” Kazuha says, looking at you with a soft smile.
You feel yourself blush, and you awkwardly look at the table. Itto got up from his seat and ran in your direction before tackling you into a bone-crushing hug. You let out a loud yelp when Itto hugs you tightly, your back audibly cracking. Itto freezes and looks down at you with wide eyes, slowly putting you back on the ground.
“Was that the sound of [Y/N]’s back cracking?” Thoma asks, looking at the others in horror.
Lord Ayato sighs and looks at you worriedly. “It seems like Itto has underestimated his strengths,” Lord Ayato mutters. Lord Ayato walks to you and places a gentle hand on your shoulder. “Are you alright, [Y/N]? Perhaps you need to see a doctor?” asks Lord Ayato.
You laugh and shake your head, patting Itto and Lord Ayato’s hands. “No need to worry about me! I needed my back to be cracked. It’s been a rough few days, and it’s nice to have my back popped,” you said, rubbing your shoulder.
Heizou sighs, feigning sadness. “Looks like I won’t be taking you into custody this time, Itto. Shinobu won’t have to worry about getting a notice from the Tenryou Commission about Itto’s detainment,” Heizou crosses his arms over his chest.
“Taking him into custody this time? Itto’s been in prison before?” You ask, looking at Itto with your eyebrows raised.
Itto laughs and rubs the back of his neck, trying to find an excuse. You snort and shake your head, patting Itto’s back. As much as you want to question him about his…. Criminal history, you think it’s best to save it for next time. But for now, you have some Inazuman tea and snacks to try out! Even though you ate not too long ago in Liyue. You’re starting to think that this whole “meeting up with a friend’s friend” is actually a way to get you to test your limits on how much you can eat. While you don’t mind trying various cultural dishes, you’re praying that your stomach won’t be negatively affected when you eat more than you can chew.
After having tea, snacks, and conversing with the Inazuman men, you find yourself standing at the waypoint with Lumine, Aether, and Paimon. The night is still young, and you’re all about to go to Sumeru. All the walking and teleporting to different regions were starting to wear you out, and you could feel it. Right when you’re about to touch the waypoint with the twins and Paimon, Heizou calls out to you. You turn in Heizou’s direction and see him running up to you, holding something out to you.
“Ah! How could I forget about my souvenir?” You gasp, grabbing the item from Heizou’s hand and giving him a thankful smile.
The souvenir that you almost left in Inazuma is a hand fan that the men have picked out for you! Since you’re unsure what to get at the gift shop in Inazuma City, the men offered to pick something out for you collectively. Heizou smiles at you, walks over to where the others are standing, and turns to face your direction.
“We’ll be back soon! But for now, off to Sumeru!” You said, waving to the six Inazuman men with a big (yet sleepy) smile on your face.
Before any of the Inazuman men could say anything, you, Lumine, Aether, and Paimon were gone from their sight. Thoma visibly flinches when he feels a strange tug in his chest, the feeling of emptiness hitting everyone out of the blue. Even though the meeting with you was brief, the men couldn’t help but feel a sense of familiarity when it came to you, and the emptiness hitting them all was strange. Everyone wanted to go after you to keep you company in Sumeru, but they couldn’t chase after you— especially after you said you’d be back soon.
Upon arriving in Sumeru, you are on the brink of falling asleep. This is the first time you have traveled with the twins without a nap between teleporting to different nations. Your eyelids feel heavy, your limbs feel heavy, and you want to go to sleep. You find yourself falling asleep on Aether’s shoulders when you feel him nudge you when footsteps get closer to where you, Paimon, Lumine, and Aether are sitting.
“Apologies for having us all meet here at Puspa Cafe late in the evening. I hope that none of you have work to tend to. It’s better to meet in the late evening because there’s less foot traffic in Sumeru City,” you hear a man say.
An exasperated voice replies, “All you do is think about yourself, Al Haitham! Some of us are tired and had a long day at work as architects, such as myself! And look at Aether and Lumine’s friend! That poor thing is exhausted too!”
You perk up and look at the irritated blond man with shock. “Did you just call me a thing?” You ask.
The dark-haired man with giant furry ears laughs nervously. “Kaveh doesn’t mean it like that, [Y/N]. Kaveh is irritated with Al Haitham, and I apologize in advance for both of them because they bicker with each other a lot,” he gives you a sympathetic smile.
“You’ll get used to the bickering,” the white-haired man says.
A man wearing a hat approaches the table. “I’m still not used to hearing them bicker,” he says, rolling his eyes.
Paimon clears her throat, glaring at the five men in front of her. “[Y/N]! Meet Al Haitham, Kaveh, Tighnari, Cyno, and Scaramouche. Scaramouche goes by many names, but we don’t talk about that,” said Paimon.
“It’s nice to meet all of you! I, uh, apologize for wanting to meet all of you suddenly. I think it would be great to meet all of Lumine, Aether, and Paimon’s friends from all nations while I continue to search for who I am,” you said politely.
Kaveh looks at you curiously. “Oh? Are you going on a spiritual journey?” Kaveh asks, resting his arms on the table.
“No,” you shake your head, “I’m amnesiac, and I don’t know where I’m from or who I am,” you reply.
Tighnari’s eyes light up. “Oh! So you’re the mysterious outlander friend that Aether and Lumine have fished out of the ocean!” Tighnari points at you with acknowledgment.
Cyno elbows Tighnari’s side, making the man wince and glare at him. “It’s not nice to point your fingers at someone you don’t know,” Cyno scolds Tighnari.
Al Haitham looks at you closely. “Judging by your clothes, you don’t look like you’re from any regions in Teyvat,” said Al Haitham.
“Let’s not point out the obvious, Al Haitham. Lumine and Aether have mentioned it a few times already. It’s not an unknown fact that [Y/N] isn’t from any of the regions,” Scaramouche rolls his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest and leaning in his seat across from you.
You sit in silence while the others around you continue to discuss your origins. While they’re talking with each other, you let yourself space out and stare at the table in front of you. The pastries that were ordered, along with the drinks, look appetizing. But since you ate so much food before arriving in Sumeru, you’re not sure if you can try something new.
You stare at the pastry in front of you, debating whether you should eat it. You decide not to eat the pastry in front of you and sit back in your seat with your head resting on the top rail. You’re tired, and as much as you want to join in on the conversation, you can’t get yourself to do it. You get up from your seat and walk out of Puspa Cafe without saying a word, trying to rub the sleep from your eyes.
The chilly night air hits you like a sumpter beast, sending violent chills down your spine. You lean against the wooden railing outside the cafe and close your eyes, letting the cool breeze lull you to sleep. The temperature is the perfect temperature to fall asleep in; if only you were in a bed, snuggling in your blanket, and drifting off to sleep, everything would have been perfect. But instead, you’re outside Puspa Cafe, falling asleep on the wooden railing while everyone else is inside, talking to each other.
“Wow, you must be exhausted from today’s event,” a voice startles you awake.
Your eyelids fly open, and your head snaps in the person’s direction. Dainsleif emerges from the shadows and gazes at you with an amused look on his face. You feel your face heat up, and you look away from the blond man that now stands before you.
“Although I don’t blame you for feeling this way. You have been traveling region to region with Aether and Lumine, meeting new people,” Dainsleif says casually, leaning on the railing beside you.
You rub your eyes. “Have you been watching our every move, Dainsleif?” You ask, poking his biceps.
“Watching? No. Making sure that you, Aether, Lumine, and Paimon travel safely? Yes,” replies Dainsleif.
You sigh and rest your head on Dainsleif’s shoulder, catching him off guard. Dainsleif stands still and looks at you from the corner of his eyes. You look like you could pass out at any moment. Silence hangs in the air between you two, and the sound of crickets fills the air.
“You know, you can join us on our journey. You don’t have to watch us from a distance and be alone,” you murmur.
Dainsleif doesn’t respond. Instead, his blue eyes gaze at the stars that hang over the two of you, then in your direction. Before Dainsleif could say anything, the door to Puspa Cafe opens, and the others step out into the night, stopping in their tracks when they see you leaning against Dainsleif.
“Dainsleif! What are you doing here?” Paimon asks.
Tighnari points at Dainsleif. “Is he your boyfriend by any chance?” Tighnari asks. For a brief moment, Tighnari looks hurt, almost heartbroken.
You look at Tighnari with wide eyes and shake your head. “He’s not my boyfriend, Tighnari.”
A massive wave of relief washes over five men standing before you and Dainsleif. You remove your head from Dainsleif’s shoulders and stretch your arms, yawning.
“You suddenly left Puspa Cafe. Is there a reason why?” Cyno asks, his eyes trailing over to the tall blond man beside you.
You rub your cold arms and shake your head. “Other than needing fresh air, hoping it’ll wake me up? Not really,” you reply.
Kaveh points at Dainsleif dramatically. “He doesn’t look like he’s from Teyvat. Look at his clothes and his mask! Speaking of his clothes, look at his cape! It looks almost identical to Paimon’s cape,” Kaveh says, eyes scanning Dainsleif from head to toe.
Al Haitham rolls his eyes. “Oh, don’t be dramatic, Kaveh.”
Kaveh scoffs and looks at Al Haitham with his hands on his hips, poking the inside of his cheek with his tongue, glaring at the acting Grand Sage in front of him. You press your lips into a thin line and slowly look up at Dainsleif, who is already looking at you.
“I’m done with these two,” Scaramouche mutters, pinching the bridge of his nose with a sigh.
Dainsleif crosses his arms over his chest. “This is my cue to leave,” said Dainsleif.
You’re about to protest, but a portal opens in front of him, and he walks through it. The portal closes once he enters. You let out another sigh and turn to the people in front of you. You’re tired and want to go to sleep, but at the same time, you want to explore around Sumeru a little bit before going to the teapot to get some much-needed shut-eye.
“Is it okay if we go and explore Sumeru? I know it’s nighttime, but exploring Sumeru would be nice,” you said.
Kaveh points at the sky. “Explore Sumeru in the darkness? I don’t know about that….” Kaveh trails off.
Tighnari scratches his ears. “I think we should explore Sumeru in the morning. It’s safer that way,” Tighnari replies.
“If we all go together, I think we should be fine,” Scaramouche says, taking his hat off and fixing his hair that is blown by the wind.
Cyno looks at everyone around him. “What do you guys think? Should we go an explore Sumeru?”
“Exploring Sumeru at a time like this is nothing new to me. I’m okay with it as long as everyone is okay with it,” answers Al Haitham.
The last thing you remembered was exploring Sumeru with Aether, Lumine, Paimon, and the five guests (Al Haitham, Cyno, Kaveh, and Tighnari). Now, here you are, sitting in the middle of some forest in Sumeru alone. You have been roaming around the forest for a long time, and every tree, shrubbery, and thicket looks the same. You’re not sure how Tighnari is able to guide the group through the forest without issues.
You run your fingers through your hair and lean against a tree, sliding to the ground. You’re too tired to
“Yeah, maybe exploring the forest at night was a mistake,” you deadpan. “Well, if it isn’t the consequences of my actions,” you lightly slap your forehead.
You rest your head against the tree trunk and close your eyes. You would go and try to search for the others, but you don’t think that is a good idea. Maybe this is the perfect time for you to take a nap while the others try and find you. You lay on the ground and curl into a fetal position, drifting off to sleep.
After what felt like twenty minutes, your eyes fly open when you feel something poke your face. You stumble to your feet when you see a strange being in front of you. It’s small, like, really small. The way it stares at you is unsettling, but it’s kind of cute. You can’t find a way to describe it, but it’s green and has a leaf for a hair… hat? Either way, it’s small and carries a stick.
“What are you?” You whisper, leaning down to poke it lightly. “Am I hallucinating by any chance?” You ask yourself.
The tiny creature continues to stare at you, not saying a word. You end up introducing yourself to the green being in front of you, and it eventually speaks, which throws you off guard because you didn’t think it could talk. He introduces himself as Arabalika, and he is an Aranara, a plantlike forest spirit that resides in Vanarana.
It turns out you somehow wandered to Vanarana, but no need to fear because Arabalika and his little Aranara buddies are here to keep you company. You’re amazed at seeing the Grove of Dreams now that Arabalika has led you to where the Aranaras reside. When you walk into Vanarana, a hoard of Aranaras surrounds you, looking at you curiously.
“Do you think my friends will be able to find me here? I don’t know how much longer I can stay in Vanarana,” you said softly.
It wasn’t like you didn’t want to stay in Vanarana. You felt like you were intruding as someone who isn’t a forest spirit. The Aranaras were sweet to you! They refused to leave you alone, and the Aranaras offered to make you something to eat (which you declined because of the amount of food you have consumed today) and provided some entertainment.
While you and the Aranaras are warming up to each other, the people you went exploring in the forest with are scrambling around to search for you. They searched high and low for you, only to find nothing at all.
“Where could they have wandered off?” Al Haitham asks.
“They didn’t wander off; we wandered off without checking to see if they were following us or not,” Kaveh interjects.
Cyno sits on the ground. “Then what do we do? We can’t find them in the forest. We can’t leave them all alone until the sun rises,” Cyno grumbles, yanking the grass from the ground.
“Hey! Don’t do that,” Tighnari scolds Cyno, slapping the grass out of Cyno’s hands before huffing loudly.
“We’re going to have a [Y/N] search party,” Lumine says.
Scaramouche blinks at Lumine owlishly. “A [Y/N] search party?” Scaramouche asks.
Lumine and Aether look at each other, nodding at one another. As much as they don’t want to disturb others of their sleep, they have no other choice but to get the other men involved.
You sit on the grass, weaving flowers with Arabalika and the other Aranaras. They offered a temporary home for you to rest in, but you refused to sleep no matter how tired you were. Plus, you have this unsettling feeling where you feel like you’re being watched. And you know it’s not Dainsleif because he would have shown up before Arabalika discovered you in the forest.
Arabalika taps your knees to grab your attention. “What’s wrong, Nara friend?”
You give Arabalika a wary smile. “I feel like we’re being watched, do you?” You whisper to Arabalika.
“It’s okay if you feel that way. We will protect you,” Arabalika says, holding your hand.
You laugh and squeeze Arabalika’s hand, not sure what he’s implying. How can something as small as he protects you from the dangers lurking in the forest?
“Should we make ourselves known to them?” Dottore asks, his back pressing up against a tree.
Pierro shakes his head. “I don’t think it’s time for us to introduce ourselves to [Y/N] just yet,” Pierro mutters, watching you interact with the Aranaras.
“Aw, what a shame. I really wanted to introduce myself to [Y/N],” Pantalone laments, leaning against the tree that was a few meters from where you’re sitting.
“Unless you want to start a problem, go ahead,” Capitano grumbles. “Those little creatures are guarding [Y/N]. It’s strange to see how protective they are of someone that isn’t part of this world,” Captiano peeks from behind the trees.
You finish weaving the flower crown and place it on Arabalika’s head, and he puts his completed flower crown on your head. You recall one of the Aranaras inviting you to their little concert, so you let Arabalika guide you to where the show is being held. You sit in the crowd and watch them play the instruments in awe. Arabalika waddles over to you, pulls you to the center of the “stage,” and attempts to get you to join in on the dancing.
You knew that you were not alone in the forest with the Aranaras, but if you were going to die soon, you might as well enjoy your last moments dancing with the Aranaras. While you’re in the middle of twirling around with Arabalika in your hands, you hear a twig snap loudly. The music ceases, and you stop spinning, holding Arabalika in the air, slowly turning to look in the direction of where the twig has snapped.
Over twenty heads peek from behind the trees. You squint at them and slowly put Arabalika down, shielding your eyes to try to get a better look at each person’s face.
“Oh, it seems like you have found me,” you said.
Venti pouts. “Someone doesn’t sound too happy about being found,” Venti says.
“Sorry to interrupt your performance, but we were looking everywhere for you,” Kaeya speaks up, emerging from the shadows, and walks over to where you stand.
Arabalika steps in front of you, holding his arms out. Kaeya stops in his tracks and gazes at Arabalika with an amused look on his face.
Dainsleif chuckles. “It seems like the Aranara is trying to protect [Y/N],” said Dainsleif.
You look at the men who now stand in front of you, Arabalika and the other Aranaras. “Why are all of you in Sumeru? Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad to see all of you again, but what are you guys doing here?” You ask.
“Lumine, Aether, and Paimon came to all of us and requested us to search for you. We heard that you went missing in the forest of Sumeru, and they didn’t know how else to track you down,” Diluc interjects.
You nod your head slowly. “So… Aether, Lumine, and Paimon traveled to your respective nations to have you all search for me?” You ask.
“That is correct. Although we did arrive earlier than all of you,” Pantalone speaks up, walking out from behind a tree with a smug smile on his face.
Aether and Lumine look at each other with wide eyes, pointing over at the four Harbingers, now standing behind you. It seems like there are uninvited guests as well. You look at the four Harbingers behind you and then at the other people in front of you.
“I have no idea what is going on, nor do I know the history you all have with each other, but can we not start this now?” You ask.
“And why is that, little one? Are you playing as the mediator in this situation?” Pierro asks, raising an eyebrow at you, the corners of his lips quirked up.
You hunch over and shake your head. “No, I just don’t have the energy to deal with this,” you gesture between the two groups, “and I have spent every last energy of mine dancing with Arabalika and the Aranaras. I want to go to sleep,” you said.
Arabalika turns around and gazes at you. Even with that blank stare of his, you knew what he was implying. Arabalika holds his hand up, and you grab them, letting Arabalika guide you to the nearest Aranara house.
“If all of you are going to fight, I might as well sleep through it. Arabalika will show me to my temporary room until the fight is over,” you announce over your shoulders.
The remaining Aranaras stare at the Naras (and Paimon) before them. Without saying a word, they all waddle after you and Arabalika, the sound of their footsteps gradually fading away. Just when the men thought they were the only ones drawn to you, the Aranaras are just as drawn to you as they are. However, the Aranaras are drawn to you for a different reason. The men, however, are drawn to you because they feel a connection with you and are also attracted to you. Whoever you are, wherever you came from, it doesn’t matter to them because they will try to have you for themselves. The tension was broken by the sound of Paimon and Lumine snickering with each other.
“You’re all fighting over [Y/N], and yet the Aranaras snatch [Y/N] up just like that,” Paimon says, giggling behind her hand.
Lumine raises her eyebrows. “Good luck trying to get the Aranaras' approval to be with [Y/N]. If you all think that I’m protective of [Y/N], you’re wrong,” Lumine chuckles. “They see something in [Y/N], and it makes them want to guard [Y/N] with their entire being,” Lumine strokes her chin.
When you collapsed into bed and were tucked into bed by Arabalika, the other Aranaras stood in front of your temporary house, guarding the door and watching the people closely. So much for finding you and bringing you back to Sumeru City. Now they have to wait for the next day to bring you back to civilization without causing any problems with the Aranaras, who are surprisingly protective of you.
Note: This fic is long because I decided to type during school while I was at the library when I didn't have any assignments to do for any of my classes. I'll sit with you in the dark
(Wednesday Addams x fem! childhood friend! reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: You first met Wednesday when you were just kids, and eventually became friend with her. Years later, you meet again at Nevermore... Warnings: none (?) (English isn't my first language, I'm sorry if there are mistakes or if something doesn't make sense TvT)
Wednesday was upset. Her parents were forcing her to go to a new school. Their old school, Nevermore. She hadn't planned on staying long though, a few days in and she would mysteriously disappear.
"Wednesday, this is Enid Sinclair" principal Weems said
"Howdy roomie!"
The blonde girl tried to hug the ravenette, who took a step back. Physical touch. Disgusting.
"Not a hugger, got it"
"Excuse Wednesday" Morticia started " she's allergic to col-"
She was interrupted by someone bursting through the door.
"Fuck yeah I was right!"
"What did we already told you about swearing, young lady?" principal Weems said "I'm sorry for that Mrs Addams. This is-"
"Y/n L/n."
Hearing Wednesday say your name, your lips curled up into a wild smile.
"So you do remember me uh?"
"How could I not?"
You and Wednesday were childhood friends. You met when you were 5. You were in the same class, but you started talking during one of her birthday parties. The one with the piñata filled up with spiders.
While every other kid ran away, you sat on the floor and played with a spider, letting it climb on you, to everyone's surprise.
"Anyways, I'm not gonna stay long or I'll be in trouble. I just wanted to give you this"
You walked up to her, before mumbling intelligible words. A black dahlia appeared in your hand, which you handed to the ravenette. She looked at it for a second with suspicious eyes.
"You can take it, it won't explode this time. I grew it myself. Just teleported it from my dorm"
She finally took the flower after one more look.
"It seems you have improved dear Y/n" Morticia said
You turned around to face her and Gomez.
"Thanks again for the book you gave me, Mrs Addams. It really helped"
While you talked with her parents, Wednesday's eyes didn't leave the flower you gave her. You remembered it was one of her favorites. You remembered your promise to give one to her when you'd meet again. And, most importantly, you were still wearing that bracelet.
She looked back at you, analyzing how you've changed since the last time she saw you. You were different, back in the days. You were cute. A cute little mouse. But now... She wouldn't say you were cute anymore.
She would rather say beautiful. You looked more like a true witch now. Or at least you had the aura of one.
"I am sorry to interrupt, but Wednesday still has a school to visit." reminded Weems "Miss L/n, don't you have anything to do?"
"Ahh yes yes sorry. I'm glad I could meet you again, Mr and Mrs Addams." you turned to face your friend, still smiling "I'll see you around, Wednesday"
The way you said her name made butterflies spiders grow in the ravenette's stomach. And your smile... That smile she didn't think she could see ever again...
After her new roommate showed her the school, Wednesday came back to her dorm. She was taking off the colorful stuff Enid put on the window when you knocked at the door.
"Want some help?" you asked
"It would be appreciated."
You made your way to the window and took off some of the colorful panels. Enid wouldn't be happy about that, but Wednesday and colors didn't really go together.
"How did you know?"
"Hm?"
"You said you were right. Plus you said you grew the dahlia yourself. So I assume you were talking about my arrival here. Am I wrong?"
"I heard someone new was coming. And that they murdered a student in their old school by putting piranhas in the pool. Couldn't be anyone else than you. Plus I had a feeling we'd meet soon."
"I see."
You put the last panel on the floor, not saying a word, as you knew she preferred silence over small talk.
<><><><> ♡ <><><><>
"Yeah but- if I wanted to do that, how much do you think I'll need?"
"Why would you want to do that in the first place??" Enid asked with disgust
"I say if I wanted to, that's hypothetical. We never know what can happen Enid. Better be prepared"
"In what kind of situation would you need to throw a corpse in an acid bath?"
You waved your hand in the air, like you swept her question away.
"That's not important. I just need to know how much acid I'd need"
"Why don't you ask Wednesday? She sure knows the answer"
"Yeah I know. I just- it's basic murder knowledge.. she will be disappointed I don't know that.."
"Why do you care so much about what she thinks of you? You don't have a crush on her, do you?"
You didn't say anything, looking at your feet in embarrassment. You knew what Wednesday thought about romantic relationships. Pathetic, she would say.
"YOU DO!!"
Enid jumped in excitement, clapping her hands, before shaking you slightly back and forth for a second and hugging you tight.
"Enid- I can't breath- and for fuck's sake please keep your voice low..!"
While you were patting the werewolf's back to calm her down, Wednesday was watching you from afar. Oh how she wanted to rip the blonde's head off at this moment.
She clenched her fist so hard that small drops of blood started to fall onto the ground.
Why was she hugging you like that, her body fully pressed against yours? And most importantly, why weren't you doing anything about that?
You were hers.
You were always hugging Enid or other people. But you never tried to hug her. Not that she'd want to. Of course not.
But, maybe, she wanted to know what your body would feel like. How your lips would taste like.
She never thought she'd ever be romantically attracted to someone. But then she met you again, years after you left with you parents.
Obviously she could just confess to you. But even if she would never admit it, she was scared. Scared that you wouldn't share her feelings. That you would leave her. Again.
She liked being alone. But being alone with you... Now that's what she really wanted. But ask her and she will threaten to skin you alive.
<><><><> ♡ <><><><>
A few days had passed since Wednesday saw Rowan getting killed in the forest. No one believed her, as everyone saw him the day after the attack.
You didn't know why she would lie about that, but you saw him too.
You were thinking about all those events, in your bed, incapable of sleeping, when you heard a knock at your door.
You stood up slowly, half dressed, and opened the door.
"Wednesday..? Wha-"
"I need your help."
"It's 3 am...?"
"I know. May I come in?"
"Uhh... sure"
You step to the side.
"What can I help you with?"
"I need you to go in my mind."
"Wha-"
"Find the memory of the attack. I am not lying, Y/n. Plus you could see what the monster looks like."
"I-" you sighed "Okay, let's do that"
You lit some candles and put them into a circle, leaving space in the middle for you to sit. Fortunately, your roommate wasn't here...
You gestured her to sit in front of you.
"I'll need to hold your hands, if that's okay for you"
She nodded, letting you take her hands in yours. You closed your eyes, taking a deep breath, before entering her mind.
Wow. Her mind was really organized. The memory will be easier to find that way.
You found it pretty quickly, and practically jumped when you saw the monster. God it was ugly. You rewatched the scene a few times, just to be sure Rowan didn't have any chance to survive this.
Having someone looking into her mind was quite strange for Wednesday. She didn't know what to expect before coming, and now that's she was here she didn't know what to think of it.
She could feel where you were looking in her mind. Couldn't explain it, but she felt it. So she was a bit surprised when she felt you looking at what she thought of you.
She didn't let go of your hands though. No. She let you watch whatever you wanted. She wanted you to see what you meant to her. What she would do for you.
You quickly went out of her mind after seeing all of that, trying not to blush and quite ashamed of yourself. Spying on people's thoughts was really not something you approved, but at the moment you just couldn't help it.
"I- I'm sorry I-" you stooped a second "I saw things I wasn't supposed to look at.. I- I saw you were interested in some witchcraft stuff..? What about you go in my mind and look at what you want to know..?"
Oh so you were lying now. Interesting, Wednesday thought.
You weren't aware of the fact that people could feel where you looked in their mind, that's why you lied. Plus you didn't know how she would've reacted if you confronted her directly.
"I only have visions, Y/n. I am not a psychic."
"I know, I'll just project my mind into yours, if you're interested by-"
"Fine."
You blinked twice, surprised by her fast reply, before closing your eyes once again and projecting your mind into her own.
Contrary to Wednesday's mind, yours was a mess. Some thoughts were bigger than others, some were hiding, jumping (?), running away or just lying there like they were dying.
One of the biggest thoughts she could see was your witchcraft knowledge, which wasn't much of a surprise. The other big thought was, to her surprise, her.
Before she could realize it, she was already reviewing memories of you two. But not only that. She saw the moment you realized you fell for her.
On the other hand, you had no idea where she was looking in your mind. As she wasn’t in your mind, but in a projection of your mind, you couldn't feel anything.
Eventually, she came out of your mind, a slight smirk on her face, knowing you wanted her as bad as she wanted you.
She slowly approached you, taking advantage of your still closed eyes, your hands still in hers. Feeling movement, you opened your eyes, just as she sat on your lap.
"Wednesday what are yo-"
"Shh, we've lost enough time, don't you think, Cara Mia?"
You were a blushing mess. She was so close to you your lips almost touched. You could feel her breath on your lips when she murmured:
"Dame un beso, mi amor"
You spoke enough spanish to understand what she wanted, and kissed her within a second. The ravenette cupped your cheeks, lips not leaving yours, as your hands made their way up to her waist.
She pulled away after a moment, staying only inches away from your face, looking directly into your gorgeous e/c eyes.
"I hope you understand that I am not going to bring any light in your life, mi amor”
"I don't need you to light up my world" you smiled "I'll sit with you in the dark."

Yandere catboy x reader
Note: longest fic I've written It got longer than I expected 😙
Summary: you find out your cat is actually your classmate.
drawing of yandere catboy 1
drawing of yandere catboy 2
Your friend stopped walking as an orange cat came into view.
"Oh- There's a cat over there!"
Before you could react, your friend dashed over to the cat.
"Aww... so cute."
"Come on, let's go home."
You said, standing beside your friend who is taking pictures of the cat.
"Wait- she's purring. I need to take a photo of this."
You sigh. Your friend was obsessed with cats and never missed any chances to watch them, take pictures of them and touch them. She also took photos of this orange cat just outside the school gate everyday.
"I don't have anything to feed you today.. but I'll buy some tomorrow, okay? Bye, Chesse."
After one last pat, your friend stood up.
"That cat has a name?"
You asked.
"Of course she does! Everyone in school calls her Cheese. Her soft fur is just like cheese."
Your friend proceeded to show you pictures on her social media. You had no choice but to look at her social media that is filled with pictures of cats.
You didn't hate cats, but you weren't a fan of them either. You've taken a few pictures of cats in the past, but admiring cats all day was not that interesting to you.
After saying goodbye to your friend, you went to your home.
"Mom, I'm home."
You shouted loud enough for your mom to hear.
Your mom was in the kitchen, preparing dinner.
"Hey mom- huh?"
You felt something cling to your leg. You immediately looked down to find a black and white cat.
"What is this?"
You said, confused. You tried to back away from the cat, but it was still clinging on to you. You turned to your mom to hear some kind of explanation.
"It's a cat from my office. I'm sure you've seen this cat a few times."
Your mom replied. Now that you think about it, you could remember this cat from a few days ago when you visited your mother's office.
"Is this cat the one staying at the back of your office building?"
"Yes it is! I made a simple bed for it to stay.. and I decided to just take it home-"
"What? Does dad know about this? What about my brother?"
"They seem pretty chill about it. Your brother liked the idea. You know the drawing he drew in his kindergarten? That kid likes cats."
"What if this cat already has an owner?"
"I checked it, and everyone around my office said this cat was alone for a few years. So it's fine, (y/n), don't worry."
"You could have asked if I'm fine though."
You looked back at the tuxedo cat. You didn't want to blame the cat, but getting a cat without your opinion was not the best feeling.
You patted the cat's head while it curled around your leg. This cat was acting like it's smart enough to comprehend your feelings. You felt the cat clinging to you more as you touched it.
"I'm sorry (y/n). I should've told you sooner, but I was busy. Plus, the person using the second floor starting next week is allergic to cat fur, so I had no choice to take the cat to home."
Your mom said. You nodded as a reply and looked at the cat again.
"Look, the cat likes you the most. That cat never warmed up to me like that. Why don't you name the cat, (y/n)?"
Your mother was true. You visited your mother's office a few times, and this cat only liked it when you touch it.
"I'm bad with names, and why don't you name it? It's you that brought it here anyway."
"Oh come on, (y/n). Don't be so harsh on the cat."
You ignored your mom and tried to go inside your room, but the black and white cat followed you inside your room without any presence.
"You really do like me.."
You murmured to yourself.
The cat still curled up to you between your legs. You had to pick up the cat and move it to your bed to unpack your school bag and change into comfortable clothes.
You crawled into your blankets and got your phone ready to watch videos before dinner. The black and white cat also crawled beside you, using your right arm as a pillow.
"Oh right.. I need to think of a name for you.."
You said as you scratched the cat.
"What about.. just Tux? That's pretty easy to pronounce."
You said as the cat digged into your chest.
"Do cats like their owners this much..?"
You mumbled.
"So Tux it is? Or do you want another name?"
Your cat ignored your mumbling and rubbed its face onto you.
"... okay then. Your name is Tux from now on."
Your cat, now named Tux, reacted to its new name, and it seemed quite pleased.
You spent time scrolling down social media with your cat beside you before your mother called for dinner. As you got up and walked to the kitchen, Tux followed you. At the kitchen, you found your little brother and your dad talking about their experience today in the playground.
"Where have you been?"
You asked your brother.
"In the playground with my friends... wait- that's the cat mom's talking about-!"
Your brother's attention darted to Tux immediately as he touched the cat. Tux didn't avoid the touch either.
"That cat's name is Tux. I named it."
You said, sitting on your chair and eating food your mom prepared.
"That's a.. intuitive name."
Your dad said, looking at Tux.
"... Anyways, why did you agree to raise a pet?"
You asked. Looking at your brother's wide smile, your dad answered,
"Didn't your mother tell you? Uh.. your brother likes cats, and why not?"
"... yeah whatever."
You ate dinner listening to your little brother talking about Tux. You felt good that your brother got a pet that he wanted. However, at the same time, you felt uncomfortable... having a pet all of a sudden. It felt like having a new family member without your permission.
You know that having a pet will feel like having a family member as time passes. Your friends told you about how their pets meant the world to them... But there was this uncomfortable feeling about Tux.
Maybe you were just mad about your family and wanted to leash your anger to Tux. You didn't know.
--
When you woke up the next day, you found Tux right beside you.
"How did you get in here..."
You went to sleep alone last night. You remembered that you closed the door before Tux gets in.
You shrugged it off since you had little time before you go to school. You walked around, brushing your hair and wearing your uniform.
"Where is it? Ugh.."
You mumbled as you searched for your earphones. You put them on last night, and the right one was missing.
"Hey- don't distract me."
You lifted up Tux from the bed sheets and searched to see if the bed sheets were covering your right earphone. You rummaged through your bed sheets but you couldn't find it. While you were busy lifting up bed sheets, Tux crawled under your bed.
"What are you doing?"
You also looked under the bed.
"Oh- You found it!"
Tux was playing with the right earphone you were desperately searching for. You grabbed your right earphone and put in the case as your cat tossed it to you.
You sighed in relief and looked at Tux.
"Thanks for your help... I would've died for boredom in school without your help."
You smiled at Tux and left your room, ready to go to school.
In your classroom, you talked about your new cat to your friend. As expected, your friend was excited about it, asking dozens of questions.
"How can you not have a picture of it?"
Your friend said.
"I didn't think of it. I'll send you a picture when I go back home."
Your friend rambled about how her mother would not allow her to have a pet. You listened to your friend quietly.
"Hey."
Someone poked your shoulder. You looked back to see who it was, and one of your classmates was standing right behind you.
"Huh?"
"You're sitting on my seat."
Your classmate said.
"Oh- sorry-!"
You stood up right after.
--
"Don't you think you and him have a lot of connections lately?"
Your friend said, eating a chocolate bar she bought in free time.
"Who are you talking about?"
"You sat in his seat in lunch time. How could you not remember?"
"Oh- are you talking about Blake?"
"Of course I am! Don't you think he likes you?"
You knew your friend loves setting people up and likes searching for possible couples, but this time, she's talking nonsense.
"I didn't even talk to him that much."
Your friend was eager to tell you what she has found.
"That's not the point- The important part is that he's constantly gazing at you during class. Also, how can you not notice that it's you he talks to!"
"He talks to plenty of people."
"Oh no, you're clueless. If you observe further, you'll definitely realize he only talks to certain people, or friends, and they all knew Blake even before highschool."
"How do you know that?"
"My eyes and ears are open."
"..."
Blake and you? That's such a confusing match.
"Your observations can't be the reason."
"See for yourself then. I'm sure. Blake has interest in you."
"..."
You didn't believe a word your friend said before Blake asked if he can join you on the way home.
It was awkward, walking with a classmate who you've barely talked to.  Blake was quiet, and you didn't know how to start a conversation.
"I thought you go home with your friends."
You said.
"Oh- I moved recently. It seemed like you go home this way too, so... I thought it could be great having another friend to go home with."
Blake said. You could see he was a bit nervous... but why?
Not much conversation went by, and you waved goodbye to Blake in front of your house. You went into your house, throwing your book bag onto the bed and taking off your jacket.
You looked around to see if Tux was around, but you couldn't find it anywhere. You went into every room in your house but Tux wasn't in any of them. You went back to your room, wondering where that sneaky cat hid himself. You were unpacking your bag when you noticed something jumping over the fence. You looked at it to realize that it was your cat that was jumping over the fence and into your home.
You quickly opened the window facing the garden Tux was walking across and let it in your room.
This was strange. The doors were all locked, and you went out of the front door in the morning, so there's no way for Tux to get out. Your mother took your little brother to kindergarten and your father went to work after you left for school.. but they wouldn't have left Tux leave the house.
"Do you get out of the house when no one is watching?"
You said, in a surprised tone.
Was this cat extra smart, or were you mistaken about all the doors being closed?
Tux didn't seem to care that it got out of the house when everyone was outside.
You were skeptical but decided to ignore it and kept on unpacking your bag and organizing your clothes.
After a few hours, your mom came home with your brother.
"We're going to have dinner after an hour when your dad comes back from work-"
Your mom said loudly enough for you to hear.
In your room, you were studying while Tux was watching. You studied until your mother called you to eat dinner.
Your little brother was talking about his day in kindergarten like always, and your mother was setting food plates on the table.
You ate quietly as your brother went on about how his friend and him played some kind of game.
"Mom, today a classmate wanted go home together with me. The funny thing is.."
You said to your mom when your brother cooled down.
"Are you listening?"
You asked your mom.
"Oh- I am listening. Go on."
"The funny thing is that.. I've never talked to him properly yet."
You went on.
"And I beat Anthony- so I got a prize-!"
Your words were blocked with your brother's babbling.
You sighed. Everytime your brother blocked your words, it felt so frustrating.
"Can't you wait when I'm talking?"
You would've heard what your brother needed to say, but this time, you felt like speaking up.
"What?"
Your brother looked at you.
"I mean.. I want to talk too."
"But-"
"Your brother is thrilled he got a present today in kindergarten. Let him talk, he's feeling good today."
Your dad said.
"I think he talked enough though."
"You talked a lot more when you were young too."
Your mother said, smiling.
You were annoyed. Why was she smiling?
Your family wouldn't listen to you, and it was so frustrating to you.
"I ate a lot, I'm going back to my room."
You said.
"You haven't eaten half of it, why?"
Your mother asked.
"My stomach hurts today."
You stood up and walked to your room. Tux follwed you.
--
You couldn't understand it. You wanted to talk about your new friend too. You wanted to talk about how Blake suggested to go home with you.
You turned to your cat that was cuddling you, covered in your bed sheet. You scratched its fur as it purred.
You noticed that Tux followed you everywhere in the house. You also noticed that Tux only cuddled with you. That actually felt heart warming.
Tux jumped off the bed and crawled to a shelf you collected all your goods like  small stuffed animals, and some figures you collected from before. It was usually goods from a few years ago.
"Is there something interesting?"
You looked at the shelf, confused.
"I don't see anything interesting... wait-"
The shelf was missing something.
Now you searched through all your goods to find there was a figure missing. And you also found some of your markers missing. You actually needed those markers for art class tomorrow.
The first thing that came up to your mind was your brother.
You thanked Tux and went out of your room, to the table where your family was eating dessert.
"Where's my figure and markers?"
You asked your mother.
"What do you mean by markers and a figure? The ones on your shelf?"
Your mother replied.
"Yes- where are they?"
"I gave it to your brother."
With your mother's answer, you went straight into your brother's room to find your figure on the corner of his shelf. You grabbed it and put it back on your shelf. Your mom watched with a confused expression.
But you couldn't find your marker still.
"Where's my marker?"
You asked your mother again. Your brother was quiet, staring at you now that he realized how irritated your voice was.
"Why?"
"I said multiple times that I needed my markers for my art project-"
You were shouting now.
"I gave it your brother because he had a drawing competition today, and your brother left it in kindergarten because it got damaged. You can draw with something else for your art project, right?"
Your mother said, annoyed too.
You tried to calm down, but this was too much. How can your whole family ignore your words?
"That's not the point here- why would you take my stuff without my permission?"
Your mother said nothing, but she was definitely baffled from your statement.
When your mother said nothing and your brother kept whining, you went into your room again, shutting the door roughly.
--
The next day, you were silent the whole time getting ready for school. You didn't have your marker, and you couldn't finish the art project how you wanted to because of that.
You walked to school with heavy footsteps.
Art class was after lunch, so you still had time to think about how to do your art project. But you didn't have good ideas on your mind. Also you have already done the sketch for the drawing, which makes it harder to think of other good ideas.
Time flew by fast and it was time for art. Unfortunately your friend didn't have markers, so she couldn't help you out.
The uneasy feeling went on. You had to decide whether to switch the concept of the drawing or find usable markers one way or another.
"You'll do good with or without markers..."
Your friend comforted you.
"Thanks..."
You decided to use watercolor the school had and walked over to the sink with a small yellow bucket.
"Hey."
You felt a poke on your shoulder.
It was Blake.
"Oh- hi."
".. I have markers.. if you want to use it."
"... wait- really?"
You couldn't stop yourself from smiling.
"Yeah.. you can take them and use it at your table. I use watercolor anyway."
"Thanks- you're a lifesaver."
Blake was a lifesaver, and that went on for a few weeks. He gave you stuff you really needed, which made your friend more invested in your relationship with Blake.
Your relationship with your family recovered a bit over a few weeks, but you were still in some kind of a cold war, and you were still angry at them. You didn't talk very much either, so it really didn't matter.
You went home with Blake a few times a week. Blake wasn't the funniest person to talk to, but Blake was sure a great listener. Just like Tux.
Blake listened to you, occasionally talking about how he thought. He was not like your family who ignored how your life was in school, and everytime Blake helped you out, you thought of your friend's words. Maybe your friend was an expert at reading people's feelings.
If Blake helped you out in school, Tux was your company in your home. When you went home alone, Tux was waiting for you behind the front door.
You felt uncomfortable around Tux at first, but now you warmed up to Tux. You spent all your days with Tux telling your worries and secrets that you wouldn't tell anyone.
Tux stayed right beside you curling its body into your arms.
Spending your time with Tux felt soothing, and you thought this would go on for sure.
However, despite your wish, it didn't last long.
It was Friday, and you walked home alone. You went home fast to see your cat waiting for you.
"I'm home-"
You shouted.
You didn't see your cat behind the front door, so you walked into your room to find your cat lying down on the bed.
It was unusual for you cat to be like this. Tux always tried to rub itself on you if it had the chance.
You sat beside Tux, worried if the cat is sick.
"Are you ok?"
You asked. You knew Tux won't understand what you're saying, but you wanted your cat to know you're worried by your tone.
You lay down on your bed with your school uniform on. There was no one in the house, so there was no one to scold you for not changing clothes.
You turned to your cat. Tux seemed to be struggling with something, and you didn't know why. You thought about calling your mom, but you knew she wouldn't answer when she's busy with some project of hers.
What if Tux needs to go to the hospital?
Several thoughts went by your head.
Tux was still in a bad state and you didn't know what to do.
You got your phone out and searched through the internet to find some clue after you messaged your father(hoping for him to message you back).
As you searched with your phone, you felt Tux slipping away.
Tux was slowly crawling away from you. It seemed he wanted to head out of your room.
"Hey, where are you going?"
You put one arm around your cat, confused.
"Do you need something? Where are you going all of a sudden?"
But your cat was desperate to get out.
"Why are you avoiding me?"
That was the moment you saw something so unbelievable.
With a blink of an eye, Tux was gone, replaced with a boy your age.
".... Blake?"
You couldn't believe what you just saw.
Tux was no where to be seen, and Blake, who said he was going home with his friends, was exactly in Tux's place, facing you.
Surprised and confused, you quicky removed your arm on Blake's body. Then you jumped out of bed before Blake could react.
"W.. wait-"
Blake grabbed your arm and yanked you back into the bed. You lost balance and fell back first to the bed while Blake grabbed your arms still.
"What the- what are you doing??"
You said as Blake's grip got stronger.
Blake was on top of you, facing you with his face red.
"I'll explain-"
You didn't want to believe it, but from the looks of it, Tux was actually Blake.
Blake's face came closer to yours, and you could hear Blake's heart beating fast.
You pushed off Blake and ran out of your room before Blake came any more closer. Blake followed you without hesitation, desperate to explain himself.
You maintained certain space between you as Blake tried to take a step closer to you.
"I can explain-"
Blake protested.
"Get out of my house.. I'll listen to your explanation later.."
"No- no- I didn't do anything wrong.. I just.. wanted to get closer and help you out."
"I messaged my dad and he'll come home soon. I'll tell him about you if you don't get out."
You said in a harsh tone. You wouldn't tell your dad that Tux is human, but you had to threaten Blake..
Blake's face clearly showed that he was not satisfied, but he left.
When your dad came home, you told him Tux was somehow escaped. Your little brother was upset. But you didn't care to notice him because Tux being Blake was the most important topic in your head for hours.
You've done some pretty embarrassing stuff in front of Blake in his cat form. You told him all your cringey moments, you showed him your true personality.. and you even changed clothes in front of his cat form. You basically showed every aspect of you.
You went to bed imagining how it will be meeting Blake in school again. You imagine yourself being awkward in front of Blake.
You hoped not, but the thought that Blake came to your house just to be beside you made you feel a bit frightened.
The whole situation was weird. Blake was weird. His actions only tell you that he's creepy.
--
Instead of confronting Blake, you avoided Blake in every was possible. You ran straight to home after school, hoping for Blake to lose sight of you.
"I'm home-"
You said. You find your mom sitting on the couch.
"(y/n)-! Tux came back!"
"..."
"Why, aren't you glad Tux came back without a scratch?"
"Can we just let him be a stray cat again?
You blurted out.
"How can you say that, (y/n)? We brought Tux here, so we have to take care of it."
"It was your choice- you brought him here- then don't let him in my room, okay?
"Why are you acting sensitive lately? Don't you think this is too much?"
You ignored your mother and walked back to your room. Blake tried to follow you, but you shut the door at his face.
Your mother noticed this right away. Irritated herself, she opened the door to your room and let the cat inside.
"Don't vent out your frustration on Tux, (y/n)."
With that, your mom closed the door and headed to the livingroom again.
You glared at the person pretending to be a stray cat. With the frustration that built up past few weeks, you couldn't stand someone deceiving you.
"Get out."
You said.
Blake was still in his cat form, standing still.
"Are you listening..?"
You said. Blake just stood there, staring at you.
"... I'll just go out then."
At that moment, Blake went back to his human form, grabbing your wrists.
"Don't go out."
Blake said.
"....why don't we cuddle like we always did?"
"Are you serious? Why would I-"
You tried to get his hand off your wrist, but he's grip only got stronger.
"You can't even force me out of your room."
"Can you at least let go of my wrist?"
"Oh-.."
Blake let go of your wrist, but he didn't move away from you.
Both you and Blake got quiet after. Your mother shouting from the livingroom broke the silence.
"Stay here."
You said, looking at Blake. Then you went to the livingroom.
"Why did you call me?"
You asked.
"Actually, I didn't buy eggs since I was busy with work. Can you buy them now? You didn't even change to comfortable clothes yet."
"I'm keeping the change."
"Okay. Just come back before I prepare dinner. Oh and we need something else too. I'll send you a list."
You got money from your mother and walked back to your room. Blake was waiting for you, sitting on your bed.
"Where are you going?"
"To buy groceries."
You looked away from Blake and picked up a bag to carry groceries.
--
You felt someone following you while you were walking to the supermarket.
You knew it was Blake.
"I know you're following me."
You said.
As expected, Blake came out of his cover. He was in his human form.
"I just wanted to see if.."
You ignored him and kept walking. Blake followed suit.
"I like you a lot.. I'm sure you know by now..."
You stayed silent. The whole situation was strange and you didn't quite process it.
"I actually liked you way before you knew me. I can move around more freely as a cat, you know?"
"..."
Blake held your hand and walked right beside you.
"It was hard for me to keep my distance from you in school... that's why I tried to be a stray cat. To get closer..."
"That's... uh..."
Blake suddenly wrapped his arms around you out of nowhere.
"What are you doing??"
You said, trying to push him away. Unfortunately Blake didn't budge. Instead he only got closer, which made your head spinning.
"What if someone sees us?? Stop-"
"Does that mean I can hug you in your room?"
"That's not what I meant.."
Blake laughed as you panicked and didn't know what to do.
"You should stop ignoring me in school. You liked Tux, why not treat me like it too?"
Blake said, holding your hand again.
"Uhm..."
Blake didn't do anything that would attract glances while buying groceries. He kept holding your hand, but he didn't do anything other than that.
You quickly bought the things your mother asked and went home with Blake. Blake transformed into Tux by the time you arrived home and everything went smoothly after that, like a normal day. Blake, in his cat form, watched you from afar as you ate dinner.
You went back inside your room and Blake quickly made his way inside before you could lock the door.
Blake changed back to his human self as soon as he closed the door to your room. Then he lead you to your bed, wrapping his arms from the back.
"I waited for this."
He said while digging into your neck.
"Hey- don't rub your face onto my neck-"
There was no use resisting because Blake had no intention of letting you go.
"I have to study. Let me go."
You said firmly.
"I know you don't study right away after dinner. Let's watch something together. Or we can just lay on bed together and sleep."
"What if my family finds out??"
"Then you should be quiet."
Blake smiled.
You were annoyed, but you kept quiet.
Blake pestered you so you couldn't do much of anything. It was soon late at night and all your family members went to sleep.
"I'm going to sleep."
You said, organizing your desk before bed.
"Really? Then we can sleep side by side. Cuddling each other."
"I'll get you bed sheets. You can sleep on the floor."
"What do you mean-"
"Or you can turn into a cat again."
"I- I'll turn into a cat."
Blake, in his cat form crawled beside you when you lay in bed, covered with blankets.
--
You heard the alarm and slowly opened your eyes to see Blake's face right in front of you. You screamed right that moment.
Your mother heard your scream and opened the door to check if anything's wrong.
"What's wrong here?"
Your mom asked.
You quickly hid Blake under your blankets, covering his face with your arms.
"Nothing- just a bad.. dream."
"Well, ok. Come eat breakfast in 10 minutes."
"Alright."
Your mom walked out of your room, still suspicious of your actions.
"What were you doing? We could've been caught-!"
You jumped up pushing Blake away.
"Are you going to change into your uniform?"
Blake asked, still lying down on the bed.
"What?"
"I mean.. uh..."
"..."
You grabbed your school uniform and changed your clothes in the bathroom.
--
"I can't believe you watched me all the time."
You said, leaving the house. Blake already prepared for school and waited for you at the front door.
"..."
"Aren't you hungry? You haven't ate since yesterday lunch."
"I go back to my house in night and stay there until it's time for you to wake up. I do regular things I missed at daytime."
"That explains why you're sleeping all day at school."
"Then will you let me sleep in your room with you? I want to beside you all day."
"All day? That's exhausting."
"It's not exhausting for me. I want to be beside you whether it's in school or home."
"I'll think about it.."
Blake held your hand.
"I know you'll accept it at some point."
Blake said with confidence.
Blake's words were oddly convincing to you.
He was beside you when you fought with your family and got upset. He listened to your words and helped you.
It's true that you liked Tux in your home, and Blake at school as well.
You like Blake's warm touch, but you'll have to think about Blake staying with you all day.

Well this sure is an interesting situation, and boy is this room messy. Back to the start though, my name is Gem Tay, I’m the new head archivist at the Empire Institute, London. I’ve worked here for about a year or so now but I was recently promoted after my predecessor *snickers* Gandalf. Who names their kid that… after he disappeared. A few of the others have worked here longer than me but Xornoth, he runs the institute, appointed me as head archivist. Sadly my predecessor was not particularly organized, so I’m currently sitting in here with piles of manila files with case labels.
Upon the realization about how many cases that I would have to go through, a few others who work here were moved to help. It helps that I know them already as they’re two of my friends who I made through working here and my brother Fwip. My friends being Pearl and Sausage, although really Sausage is just here for some sort of moral support. But uhm, I should start looking through them…
*Throat clearing* Case number: 0200206. Statement of Raven Arsinoe, regarding an incident in which after visiting a tattoo parlor they started growing feathers? Sorry, sorry, original statement given June 2, 2020. Audio recording by Gem Tay, head archivist of The Empire Institute, London.
[Gem : Statement]
You know I’ve always been kind of scared of death, I suppose it’s just startling. The idea that one day you’ll just be gone and you won't even know it. I’m getting off topic though, for awhile I had wanted a tattoo but I wanted one with meaning. And well I’m named after a bird so I did some research about birds that represent life. After a while I chose to get a crane on my right forearm as they represent  longevity and wisdom and as a plus that’s a part of the name of a band that I like. I researched different places where I could get the design done, it took a little while but eventually I found a place called Ink & Feathers. I looked at their website and found that they had good reviews so I booked an appointment.
About a week later I left the house to go to the appointment and nothing felt off at all. Eventually I got to the tattoo parlor and saw that it was a small building, painted dark green with two big windows on each side of a glass door. On the left window they had the business name you know, standard stuff. I walked inside and sat on a bench while waiting for my turn. I sat there for a while and was eventually greeted by a person who said that their name was Jade. They led me to a chair and I showed them the reference of what I wanted. We got through the details and eventually they started on the stencil for the tattoo, once they finished it they left the main room for a minute. I was alone in the room and finally had time to take in the details of the room.
It was an average size room for a place like that, the counter in the front was simplistic and there were two chairs for people to get their tattoos against each wall. They had plants all around the room and some magazines sitting on shelves, like I said before it was all pretty standard stuff. Jade came back into the room and started working on the tattoo. It was fine, I didn’t really feel anything, I’ve always had a high pain tolerance. I know that this doesn’t seem to be important but trust me it is. Well I finished with the tattoo and was given instructions on how to take care of it while it healed.
Nothing else really happened until the next day, my night was completely normal. I went home, had dinner, and went to sleep. When I woke up the next morning my skin felt a bit itchy so I went to the bathroom to grab some lotion. However when I got there and looked in the mirror I saw that there were red spots all over my skin. I figured that I had just had an allergic reaction to something from the day before and just went on with my day.
And all things considered it was a pretty normal day. I just went about my life, I went to work and even hung out with some friends afterwards. When I got home I looked in the mirror again and well there they were. Tiny, little feathers growing out of my skin where the red spots were. So I logically panicked.
I rushed into my room and threw on a raincoat. I ran outside of my house and jumped into my car and drove over to the place that did my tattoo the day before. I’m not sure what was going through my head at that moment but I panicked and was just looking for a solution. I parked on the street outside and pushed open the door while walking inside. There was another person in there with Jade who was getting a tattoo of a bird on their leg. I think it was a bluejay but that doesn’t really matter. Jade walked over to the counter and greeted me, asking if I was there to get another tattoo.
I pulled off my raincoat and showed them the feathers but they didn’t really seem surprised. In fact I think I heard the other person in the room laugh. They just told me it was fine and escorted me out of the building.
I’m not sure what to do. My skin won’t stop hurting and I find more feathers on my skin everyday. They won’t stop appearing. I tried to pluck them out at one point but the only thing that happened was me bleeding a lot. I just need some help with it. Nothing I do works… Please, I just want to get rid of them. They hurt so much.
Statement ends.
[Gem]
Along with this statement there was a bag of slightly bloody black feathers and a photo of some feathers growing off someone’s skin. I had Pearl look into the tattoo place but she couldn’t find the address. Fwip attempted to do some digging as well to find it but in the place where it should have been there was nothing but an old warehouse. Sausage called the phone number that they had left on the statement to look into doing a follow up but Raven declined.
Fwip also did some online snooping and found some scattered reviews for the place but none of them mentioned similar events. They did however mention another person working there named Feather who apparently had very realistic bluejay wings sitting on their back. Along with that, later reviews mention that Jade had gem-like eyes. However I am not inclined to believe that either of those mean anything.
I’m putting this case into the category of “to be determined” as we do not currently know whether it’s real or not. I think that’s it for now though-
[Someone knocks on the door.]
[Gem]
Yeah? You can come in.
[Pearl]
Hello Gem! I found another piece of information on that case.
[Gem]
Thanks, I’ll take a look at it.
[Pearl]
No problem.
[A door closes and some papers are shuffled around.]
[Gem]
It looks like the tattoo parlor has been seen in five locations since the incident that was described in the statement. I would send someone to check it out but it appears to currently be in Japan. Odd. That’s it for now though.
Tape recorder clicks off.

What do fairies eat
Fairies love eating plants! Lots of veggies and salads, plus random plants and leaves. It's a nod to both their insect DNA and the fact that a lot of Fairies shapeshift into animals, so some people think it's rude to offer guests animals to eat.
That said, small mammals are popular foods. There's a lot of bird-eating in my 'fics because, uh... birds don't fall off the edge of the clouds :')
Larger game such as deer do exist, but they're usually on Plane 7 (the Wanderplains) and the characters I write don't go there often (It's where Cosmo went when told to "get lost" in "Fairly Odd Baby").
?? I guess unicorns are technically game animals, but Fairies definitely don't hunt them for cultural reasons akin to Da Rules. Anti-Fairies don't have an issue with it, though... although in "Not All the Same," Anti-Wanda told Anti-Cosmo he looked more ruffled than a fruit bat on a unicorn's carcass, so take that as you will.
Binky and Jorgen indulged on a lot of sweet treats when they were disguised as humans in the "Swim" Prompt.
Anti-Fairies, who struggle growing nutritious plants in their world, eat a lot of meat, especially birds. The animals they can hunt aren't great since the leaves don't grow well without the sun, but they'll eat whatever they can get (Ex: Anti-Wanda's roadkill critter cake).
Prior the War of the Angels, the Anti-Fairies relied on the magical bottomless cauldron of the Dagda, which could spawn food, but Anti-Cosmo lost it during the war.
Fairies tend to eat fast and get out while Anti-Fairies settle in for large, long meals. A lot of Anti-Fairies struggle to get enough food (especially since their species doesn't need food to live, so sometimes people just skip meals and grow steadily weaker). The polite thing to do is offer food to a guest if you have enough to spare.
This is one of the things H.P. finds annoying... Anti-Cosmo (and his predecessor) always give him food when he visits, and their meals take forever.
It's worth noting that Anti-Fairies drink a lot of wine and Fairies drink a lot of water or milk. Canonically, Fairies get drunk/hungover from candy and soda ("Power Pals"), which I've always interpreted as sugar and carbonation, so these societies prefer low-sugar drinks as opposed to juice.
The "Shadow" Prompt depicts Hiccup (Foop's alternate personality) going to lunch with Anti-Wanda at a traditional Anti-Fairy dining establishment, where we see hints of their food-serving culture (youth deferring to elders, so Hiccup is taken aback when Anti-Wanda offers him the last scone against protocol).
We also learn there's a tradition that the High Countess, in honor of the very first High Countess who was paralyzed and fed by her partner, isn't allowed to touch certain foods with "hands, magic, or utensils" and is supposed to be fed by close kin, and no one can eat until she's done. Anti-Wanda is uncomfortable with all that attention and pressure, so she dodges that custom by eating with her feet.
Foop & Hiccup think their mum is so dang smart... They really look up to her and it's important to me <3
Pixies eat soy, plus a lot of grains like oatmeal and cereal. However, all pixies are deathly allergic to honeywheat (because they're clones of H.P.); there's an upcoming scene in Origin of the Pixies where Anti-Cosmo is mad at him and serves him honeywheat rolls at a special banquet. H.P. catches on and screws him over by going to eat the roll anyway, so Anti-Cosmo lunges forward in a panic to save his life... and is forced to admit to everyone he just tried to poison his friend.
The anti-pixies are based on fruit bats, so they eat a lot of fruit. I'm pretty sure there's a gingerbread cave near them ("Clash With the Anti-World"), but I forget right now if I have that next to the Pixies or anti-pixies in my worldbuilding.
The common fairy subspecies share their biology with dragonflies, which are carnivores. They have to eat meat, which Cosmo's great at doing!
From his teen years up, Poof punishes himself by cutting meat out of his diet as much as he can without dying. It's not healthy for him, but he started doing it after crashing Cosmo's car in "Repeat;" I love this scene:
"Hey, Poofster. Come out where I can see you. You know I'm no good at hide-and-seek." Poof slunk around the desk, and Cosmo drank him in for the first time. His whole face had brightened pinker than a plum. He clenched Dusty's wand between both hands, knees curled almost to his chest. Where had Dusty gone off to, even? Odd. With slow beats of his wings, he drifted over to where Cosmo floated above the tile. "I'm not really sure what happened here, but I'm kind of broken up about this, Poof. Darla was handmade and perfect. Replacing her parts year past year was super expensive for me. Now she'll have to be a magical car, and that's gonna cause a lot of problems on magical roads. We'll have to pay extra fees because of that and get extra license restrictions now. We can't drive her some places in the cloudlands, even to her favorite mountain spots. And never, ever take her to the lakes. How are you gonna fix it?" "I'm sorry! I won't drink your chocolate milk again for a century. I won't hang out with friends and I'll do all my homework and I'll do my exercises and shower every day and I'll never ask for extra curfew time for the rest of my life! And… and I'll give up eating meat forever! Even pepperoni!" Cosmo's eyebrows lifted. That seemed a little harsh, even if he had crashed the car. But when Poof ducked his head, he said, "Gee. Well, I guess I have no choice except to forgive you if stop snitching my chocolate milk. But how did this happen? I thought you were going to practice, so why were you in Serentip?" "It was an accident! S-someone ran right on in front of me, and I had to spin the car so I wouldn't hit them." Pause. That hadn't been in the report. Cosmo glanced sideways at the three fairies behind the desk, who all averted their eyes and pretended to be working again. "And… you ended up in Serentip on… accident." "Dad." Poof lowered his voice to something like a hiss. "This is embarrassing… Can we talk about this somewhere else?" But the paperwork. Even Fairy paperwork had its sluggish annoyances, and he had no pixie here to lend a hand. Cosmo massaged the small space between his eyes. Maybe he shouldn't have. After all, they were still in public and Poof had already asked he tone it down… but when the thought struck him, he couldn't choke it back. "Are you okay? Were you… buying peppermint?" "No! No way, Dad! I don't take mint; I'm a good kid." Poof's eyes filled with wetness, their saltiness stinging the energy field like dandelions whapping window glass. "It was just an accident!"
In "Approval," Foop complimented Poof for bringing "quality refreshments" to the school dance they were setting up, remarking that he'd thought Poof would bring something "weird" since he doesn't eat meat. In that Prompt, we find out Foop is ALSO censoring his meat-eating, but it's because he's embarrassed to let on to his betrothed that he likes chicken nuggets, so he eats salad instead.
And we learned that Fairies use magical bubbles instead of plastic or styrofoam for their to-go orders :)
Also, apparently I have Anti-Cosmo down in my notes as a French fry lover to parallel Cosmo's potato skin allergy (and because A.C. thinks salt is tasty). I think he and Hazel would really bond over that.
- Anti-Cosmo's actually vegan in my 'fics because Cosmo likes meat so much. He tends to push this on people around him, especially Foop, which Foop has issues with. Anti-Cosmo's wedding band is made of a non-leather material and he got excited in "Health Bars" when he was gifted a scarf that harmed no animals. - Fun fact, the silver-haired anti-habetrot who gifted him that scarf is Anti-Coriander (Foop's future betrothed), but this was when she was still a stranger. She's also the anti-habetrot who was monitoring Anti-Wanda's vitals in "You'll Never Know," also pre-betrothal. She's always been there...

Sometimes, I’m too nice for my own good.
For the last few months, we had planned to help out an old friend of ours. Old friend, as in for 28 years give or take. Her husband is going through his second round of cancer treatments/ surgeries, etc., and they will have a wedding to attend in August. They are also going to visit her last remaining Uncle, who is declining.
Anyhoo…we had agreed to drive up to Wyoming and look after her dogs, and the dogs she is fostering…all Border Collies.
Tumblr media
Yes, 6 dogs total. For about 1.5 weeks. I was really hoping that I was going to have to fly somewhere else for work.
However, we’ve just learned that our friend’s older brother and his wife will also be going to said wedding. So we also now need to look after:
6 dogs (already agreed upon)
4 cats - I’m deathly allergic, so not me
2 chinchillas - should be easy
? Chickens - remove poop and collect all the eggs
Indoor plants
Outdoor plants
6 horses - what the actual fuck?
So ummmm yeah, I’m a City Boy. My idea of “roughing it” is hitting the Wiener Circle after 2am. Alas, she’s been a good friend over the years. I’ve actually grown rather close to her after I stopped dating her sister back in ‘93.
Plus I might just be able to get some great pictures of the area, as it looks like this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maybe I’m just destined to always have work or chores to do while even on a vacation. So much for relaxing on a ranch up north.

FALLING FOR YOU, CONRAD FISHER. CHAPTER ONE.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N Thank you so much to the person who gave me the idea of doing this series.
PAIRING Conrad Fisher x Fem!Reader
TW/TAGS Fluff, implied sex, slight angst.
SUMMARY You are best friends with Belly. Conrad is Belly's great impossible love. The two meet and fall in love with each other, what bad could happen?
SONG Cruel Summer by Taylor Swift.
REQUESTS ARE OPEN | CONRAD'S MASTERLIST | SERIES' MASTERLIST | MASTERLIST
If you had been told that on your first visit to Cousins you would fall madly in love, you wouldn't have believed it.
But in fact you did, although you tried to suppress it at first since it was the boy your best friend has been in love with all her life.
Conrad Fisher. Conrad fucking Fisher.
It seemed absurd to you that Belly spoke so dreamily about the boy, because for you he was just that, just another boy.
But damn his charms, the way in which little by little he knew how to make you fall in love with the small gestures he had with you, such as remembering what you were allergic to or something as simple as your favorite flavor of chewing gum.
Damn Conrad Fisher.
"Close your eyes." He ordered once while the two of you were lying on his bed in his room. There was no one in the house and you wanted to take advantage of it to have more private moments where no one could discover the love affair that the two had.
You did as he asked and soon you felt his lips brush over your eyelid, giving a kiss that lasted longer than it should and he repeated the same process on your other eyelid. His lips wandered to your right cheek and then your left. All this while you swore your heart could burst out of your chest at any moment because of how fast and strong it was beating.
He kissed the tip of your nose and your jaw on each side. The side of your neck, throat, and the other side that hadn't yet fallen victim to the attention of his lips.
You sighed, feeling as if his kisses had remained tattooed on your skin, as if his lips were still on each of the parts of you that he had already kissed. And then the only place he hadn't kissed he did, he kissed your lips softly but deeply like only he could.
His hand remained on your cheek to hold you in place and his tongue made its way to your mouth to explore it. You could taste the mint of your toothpaste and the woody smell of his cologne that he always wore with a hint of Cousins' salty air drifted through your nostrils. It smelled like him.
You gently pushed him by the shoulders so you could take a breath while his eyes were lost in yours.
He was so fucking in love with you, he knew you brought out a better version of him.
It scared him but he wasn't willing to lose you or let himself be carried away by his intrusive thoughts, no, he loved you for good and wouldn't let you go.
"I—" he was cut off by the sound of the principal door opening, you gave him a small smile and he sighed, kissing your forehead one last time and getting off of you.
Of course you had to hide because, as cruel as it seemed, Conrad knew about Belly's feelings towards him, and although he had already let her know that he was not interested, the situation was delicate.
Plus it didn't help that you were Belly's best friend.
That made you stay awake at night, thinking and thinking about what you should do. And just when you thought leaving Conrad would be for the best he knocked on your door to remind you that letting him go was not an option.
"I'm yours, you know that, right?" He murmured, looking at you, his features being illuminated by the pale light of the moon as the tips of his fingers danced softly across your cheekbone.
"Yeah... and I am yours."
There were several nights in which he would sneak through the hallways of the summer house to sleep with you and wake up before everyone so that no one would discover you.
There was one time where Jeremiah almost discovered you both but luckily you were even faster.
Although he wasn't stupid and was starting to get suspicious.
"y/n, what's on your neck?" He pointed to his own and you frowned, leaving your spoon on the bowl of cereal to look at yourself through the front camera of your phone.
It was a fucking hickey that Conrad probably left from the night before.
"I accidentally hit myself with something." You nodded without looking at him and continuing with your breakfast.
"Sure, whatever you say."
That same afternoon Jeremiah and Conrad had agreed to go to the beach together for old times' sake, according to Jere, but what Conrad didn't know was that he was investigating.
And seeing the scratch marks on his back he confirmed it.
"Jeez, bro, were you in a fight with a cat or what?" He joked and Conrad looked at him confused.
"What are you talking about?"
"The marks on your back." He explained, pointing to them and immediately the previous night came back to Conrad's mind.
To not make noise and so that no one would know what you were doing, you took it all out, scratching your almost boyfriend's back.
And since then you and he agreed not to have sex at night and wait until no one was there. Plus the new rule of 'no marks or hickeys in visible areas'.
It was too late though and Jeremiah already suspected that you two were onto something.
But he let it go and moved on with his life.
Everything continued the same course until the day before the end of summer.
Everyone had decided to go to a party to celebrate. You were with Belly and the other friends you both had made that summer, and Conrad, Steven and Jeremiah were with their own friends.
Despite being on the other side of the room the tension between you and Conrad was palpable. His gaze caught your attention and apparently so did Belly's. She realized the way he looked at you and that it wasn't just friends, because she looked at him like that.
She didn't say anything at the time but made a mental note to ask you about it later.
The rest of the night you all drank, enjoyed yourselves and had fun together.
Back home everyone said goodnight and went to your respective rooms.
When everyone fell asleep, you sneaked this time to his room to spend what would be your last night together until the next time you saw each other.
"I don't want summer to end." You murmured close to his face. You were lying next to him and he was looking at you carefully.
"Me neither."
You slept cuddling each other and the next morning you woke up to get out of there.
Everyone had breakfast together and after that, everyone finished packing your things so that everyone could go home, ending the summer.
You said goodbye to Jeremiah and Susannah first, while the others were busy with them you took the opportunity to say goodbye to Conrad.
"So I'll see you later, Fisher." You smiled wistfully, gently punching his shoulder and he let out a laugh.
"Come here." He opened his arms and you let yourself be wrapped in them.
To everyone else, you were best friends even though you had barely met each other that summer.
But for you and Conrad that hug meant more. A promise that you would see each other soon.
You separated and smiled sideways, waving goodbye to him. "Bye."
He just waved goodbye and you waved goodbye to the other Fishers in the same way.
The ride home was silent as Belly fell asleep on your shoulder and Steven in the front seat was talking to his mother.
You would definitely look forward to the next summer or the next call you would have from him.

Housing and anxiety vent INCOMING
We’re driving to MS tomorrow and I do not wanna gooooo.  I haven’t seen my mom since February so I’m def due for a visit but it’s an 8-hour drive and I’ll be doing it with my awful-to-travel-with sister and I am just absolutely miserable at the prospect.  I’ve decided that I’m going to drive the first stretch through Atlanta because I hate the my sis drives in Atlanta traffic, not to mention that they are a slow riser and will complain about being tired and having to drive the ENTIRE TIME.  No seriously, this happens without fail if they drive the first stretch.  Shut the fuck up already!
Also: I fucked up when I chose not to renew my lease because starting next month, we are getting cost of living raises and I COULD have afforded the rent hike if I’d known that was gonna happen!  But I didn’t renew and they’ve found a new tenant for my spot so now I have about 55 days to find myself a new place to live.  I reached out to my ideal punk communal spot months ago and they said they’d “add [me] to the list” but I haven’t heard anything since then.  Otherwise the only sure thing I have housing-wise is an offer from a friend to live with her.  I adore her but her life is extremely chaotic right now and it gives me major anxiety to think of how it would affect my quality of life to be near that chaos.  I’m thinking of noisiness in the house, guests at random times (she’s always inviting people over randomly), her cats (she has 3 and I’m allergic), and how messy her kitchen is right now.  I just.  I’m so nervous.
I did this to myself for sure, but it sucks that I haven’t found anything else just yet.  One rental company must have figured out I’m Black because they’ve stopped responding to my inquiries about a dreamy lil duplex in my ideal neighborhood.  Everything is priced for college students and not for the working locals who keep this stupid fucking city afloat, and we’re literally getting priced out of town.  It’s happening everywhere in the US but I’m honestly shocked to see it happening so much here.  I honestly want to put a curse on them or something, do something to cool off all this hype around this university and make things cheaper.  I don’t even believe in curses but most people do, and the psychological effect alone of knowing someone cursed them would have an impact for sure.
Yes I’m still in the homebuying program but that’s also at a standstill.  They’re understaffed and not really paying attention to me right now, plus there aren’t any available homes to buy right now so I’ll have to have one built.  That prospect is absolutely terrifying.

Here I am about to rant about the enshittification of medical care in the United States.
As a certified old, I remember (from my childhood) when you, or your parent, could just call your family doctor and go in the same day. Not to urgent care, which didn't exist yet, but to the actual doctor, who would make room in the schedule if they needed to, or sometimes, if you were very lucky, see you specially on the weekend so you could avoid going to the emergency room. This happened to me with a bad UTI when I was in college; the doctor had been treating me for years and was the partner of the doctor who had delivered me.
Part of the problem here is that most doctors don't have small practices where they can work that way any more. They're employed by giant clinic groups that handle all the scheduling and billing. These groups are generally for-profit and to make money, schedule doctors super-tightly and pass off a lot of care to nurse practitioners and medical techs--who are great people, and often super helpful! no shade to them--to keep the assembly line moving.
Because of the massive overhead requirements (like electronic records), the hassle of dealing with insurance, privacy laws, etc. etc., it's apparently, according to doctor friends in my age group, nearly impossible to run an old-style practice of the sort I grew up visiting. The money just isn't there. Hence: "concierge service", which is paying what it now costs to run a small practice, which is a lot more for the consumer.
I lived in England in the 80s and had a chance to experience the NHS. It didn't work well for us: my mom had an experience where the local doctor didn't read her chart and prescribed a medication she was allergic to. Also it was hard to get an appointment! So my parents switched us to private insurance for the few years we stayed and it left me meh on "socialized medicine".
Then I grew up and had to deal with medical insurance myself, from the perspective of chronic illness, and watched doctors move into these giant clinic systems. I started having to make appointments months in advance for every doctor I saw, with near-term sicknesses referred to urgent care in the practice system (not great for someone with chronic illness and drug allergies).
I had always known that I was lucky to get the health care I got, that people who had less than I did needed more help, and that single-payer health care was the way to get that, especially for people who couldn't get insured. And of course, before Obamacare, people with "pre-existing conditions", aka any kind of medical history, could be priced out of the medical insurance market.
But what I figured out in the last 10-15 years was that my experience as an adult with my doctors, who are collectively great people, in the giant clinic setting was basically duplicating the NHS experience I had in the 80s, except we pay an arm and a leg through insurance deductions, co-pays, deductibles, etc. Plus, if we want super-personalized care from a doctor like the one I grew up with, hundreds of dollars a month in concierge care money.
All the money from this set of changes is going into the pockets of billionaires who have big money stock investments in insurance and health care companies, and the executives who run insurance and health care companies. And a tiny bit to people who own index funds and small amounts of stock, but they're not getting the bulk of the money, nor do they control the direction of insurance or health care as industries.
Where the money isn't going: our doctors and their staff, who are workers just like the rest of us, and in the case of the ones with medical degrees, probably paying an arm and a leg in student loans for the privilege of spending the last few years getting yelled at for not prescribing horse dewormer and telling people to wear masks and every other terrible thing that's happened to them since 2020.
I can't blame any doctor for wanting to go the concierge route. But the system that's pushing them in that direction, that asks them to deal with complex cases, aka scared sick people, in 15 minutes? That's all bullshit. If that's what we get, we ought to just pay for health care through our taxes and let the government negotiate prices with health care companies and drug companies (note: Medicare is limited in how much leverage they can exert on drug companies in price negotiation by law; look it up and tell your reps to change that!) and just let everybody go to clinics for free or very low costs for care. Super rich people are going to do something like concierge medicine anyway but we can make life better for everybody else and spend less money doing it.
It'll never happen, but a girl can dream.
Medical care in America be like:
*Pays from every paycheck for premiums*
*Pays at the point of service for co-pays and deductibles*
My doctor: For your benefit, my practice is switching to limited-patient concierge service! Simply pay me $2,000 per year for the right to simply make an appointment!
