she couldn’t keep up with you sometimes, too busy dealing with the manchild that was mister anthony edward stark

“uh, who’s this?” -tony, pointing at you

“mr. stark, i am so sorry, the school closed because some kid set fire to the science lab and i didn’t have time to find a sitter—”

“no, it’s fine, no need to apologize. hey, kid, you wanna sit in the boss’s chair? i’ll let you run the company for the day!” *cue you nodding* “sweet, would you mind that, ms. potts?”

“oh? no, not at all” *mouthing* “thank you”

“so, uh, what’s your name? no, don’t tell me: ketchup.”

LETTTSSSS GOOOO AAAAAA THIS GOT SUPER LONG I tried to list everyone I can remember and who has some backstory sdjsjdkdj

Disclaimer: I’ve only read MTMTE/LL. My knowledge about any other continuity is based on Fanfic and random tumblr meta I’ve read.

Also, in theory, all of these characters are from different universes and wouldn’t have met, if it weren’t for those meddling Lost Light shenanigans…  There is a very loose background story connecting all the different universes.

(Namely, the LL that hopped universes keeps on hopping, and because unfortunate circumstances, it keeps homing in on Megatron. This is due to their first jump landing them in a SG universe where the Decepticons lost, and the resident Starscream shoved all of his surviving companions into different universes to save them. Of course, the LL wants to help, but Starscream thought it was a VERY good idea to first get his lover leader back and messed with their technology. It stops being funny after the third time they find themselves at the hands of very a pissed and murderous war lord.)

But enough of that! They do find a few Megatrons that are a bit more chill. I wish I had pics of all of them, but alas. One day. All of them get nicknames, because else it would be very confusing.

 TFA Megatron: Codename “Juno”, he/him, far over 17 million y/o. HF age: 60 - 70

He’s from a heavily modified AU where he was constructed as a kind of middle man between the protectobot high command and the warframe army. Even back then the civilian bots didn’t like to be confronted with the people that fought their wars for them, so they build new ones. Juno is at least glad that he got a pretty face out of the deal.

He learned to fight relatively late, had been sent to the battlefield as a last resort in a loosing battle against some organic planet, and Strika saved his life. They have been best buds ever since and go through thick and thin.

After the organic wars there was a short rest period on cybertron, but soon war frames were pushed to the edges of society, the rise of Megazarak, Juno joining him, the great cybertronian war, Junos overthrowal of Megazarak, and eventually Juno lost the war, but all the Decepticons (war frames and civilian alike) retreat to a new home planet.

Juno himself is. Old, worn, but still very much at the top of his game! He never crash lands on earth, but he does end up being captured by Autobot high command, and our Lost Lighters arrive just in time for him to break out.

He, Strika and Lugnut end up hopping universes with them when the LL is attacked by the TFA autobots, and Juno is delighted by how fucking shitty every other Megatron is. He won the fucking moral high ground game by loosing the war! He has bragging rights. He might still have done terrible things, but, shush!! Let him have this.

The subsequent name change comes because he really doesn’t like being shot at. Plus, after 17 million years, its time for a rebranding! His favourite activity is beating up (killing) other Megatrons. Not just because they are assholes, but to prove that he’s still got it! AU optimus primes look at him like “how did u do that” and Juno be like “What, like, is it supposed to be hard?”

He’s also delighted to tell you that, no, he does NOT fucking know who Optimus Prime is.

Besides all that, he’s the “sick cat of the multiverse”. He might be a super soldier, but you can bet that one day he’s gonna have a sparkattack and randomly die. He has a ton of scars and as a HF, a lot of them are visible. His spark is not really the strongest anymore, due to the previous loss of a conjunx, and by honour of being old as balls.

His storyline is basically “Have fun while you still can, and admit that you would really love to be in a polycule with Strika and Lugnut”.

 TFA Megatron: Codename “Junior”, he/him, just scratching 1 million. A baby. HF age: 20

He’s basically Juno from an earlier point in time. Doesn’t yet know Strika, has no battlefield experience. A real baby. Lies about his age to get into bars. Probably shouldn’t do half the stuff he gets up to.

Junior and Juno develop a father-child bond, but both would deny it under torture. Until Junior saves Junos life, that is, but they don’t talk about that.

He hates his nickname and is soon best friends with Rodimus who finds his existence delightful, because they are the same breed of young reckless dumbass.

 G1 Megatron: Codename “Molly”, she/her, only available as human, age: 50

Just an older gal living her best life in some desert. Wears tight leather pants, high heels and white shirts with a deep neckline. Sings Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” very well and very loud at her favourite bars karaoke nights. A delight to be around, if she says so herself. Still yearning for that sweet trucker gal she met on the road years ago.  Might still have ties to gangs. Drives a motorcycle.

This universe is more of a rest stop for the LL, and coincidentally it’s also a Wings!AU. Molly has Californian Condor wings.

 IDW Megatron: Codename “Billy”, he/him, only available as human, age: ~ 200

A right mean bastard. Lives in the Magnus Archives universe, and a Hunter Avatar by nature. Although, he wouldn’t define himself as such. Sure, he’s a hunter, but doesn’t that encapsulate so many more fears? The fear of being Watched in the Dark, and Slaughtered for Meat in the End?

He would say that he has had honest and good intentions. He thought himself so great when he was young and killed his first monster! But then the monsters didn’t stop. And after so many years, well, he paved his road with good intentions, and it’s leading him right down to hell. He might have killed a few more humans than necessary. But oh, it is for the greater good! And he can hardly stop now.

Someday, there will be a new, fresh hunter, with enough determination to finally take him out. He’s made his peace with that. He does hope they will stuff his shaggy hide and display it in a trophy room.

Only Megs so far who wears plaid shirts. Is actually nice to be around, if he isn’t actively after you. Hunts Pigs for sport.

Also the only one I’ve drawn so far. His Hunter form would be a irish wolfhound. With a few more jaws than neseccary.

I think that’s all of the bigger ones so far ssdjsdjsdhshshdlf. Juno really is my favourite (if you cant tell).

The windy streets of New York could almost be too much on a freezing night like this. Although you wish nothing more than to be back at your apartment, with some warm pajamas on and some hot cocoa in your hand - this was your job. You were allowed to wear a coat, but pants or long skirts were prohibited. You currently had on a tight black dress that barely covered your butt. 

You thanked yourself for opting for the pair of black knee high boots you were currently wearing. Your hair hair was perfectly done as so was your makeup. You looked like something that came right out of the movie Pretty Woman. You were pleased with your appearance and knew that you would get some high paying clients. At this point, you didn’t care if they paid decent or not - you just wanted to go somewhere warm for a while.

“Fuckin’ freezin’ out here. They tryna kill us?” asks your good friend Gina. 

Gina was her real name, but everyone called her Bambi, especially her clients. She has big doe like eyes, so the name fits her perfectly. Your nickname for your clients was Cherry, due to your signature bright red lipstick you would wear. Gina worked on these streets a lot longer than you. She took you under her wing when you first started and immediately since then you’ve been best friends - now roommates. 

“I know. I can’t feel my hands.” you say, your voice trembling. 

Your nose was ice cold and your eyes were burning from the harsh wind. You were looking around and spot a man parked in a nice SUV just across the road. He looked older and was staring directly at you. When you made eye contact with him, he looks nervous as he gets out of the car and makes his way across the semi busy road. It was your time to shine. 

“Hi, baby.” you purr as he walks up and looks around nervously. 

Gina watches the man and winks as he looks over to her. He gulps hard and reaches for his wallet in his back pocket. 

“I, uh…” he starts as he opens it up. “I only got 20.” he tells you.

You’ve been told to never accept a 20 or lower. It was one of the rules. 

“Sorry, baby. I’m worth more than that, don’t you think?” you ask with a wink.

The man’s face gets red as he’s embarrassed. His jaw tenses as he looks to Gina then back to you. 

“She took a 20 last time. Why can’t you?” 

You’re shocked for a moment as you turn to look at her. She looks irritated as she shakes her head no and walks up. 

“I’ve never seen you in my life, pal. Now cough up some more or leave my girl alone.” she spats. 

The man then gets irritated and reaches forward to grab your arm. Gina shouts out as you use your small clutch and start smacking him with it. Just then, you hear a shout and watch as an older man with a white beard hurries up and shoves the man back until he’s fallen onto the ground. 

“Piss off!” he shouts as the man scrambles to get back to his car. 

The older man looks to you and his eyes can’t help but look you up and down, slightly taken aback by your clothing choice. 

“Are you alright?” he asks sincere. 

You can’t break away from his blue eyes. This man was at least forty or plus years older than you, yet you were almost drawn to him. 

“Thank you.” you tell him in your fake seductive voice. “Anything I can do to repay you?” you purr as you bite your lip and walk closer to him. 

The man smiles sweetly as he realizes what you’re line of work is. He looks to the corner of the road and then back to you. 

“Let me buy you a cup of coffee, yeah? You must be freezing.” he says as he looks back down to your bare legs. 

You were freezing. Hypothermia would kick in at any moment you thought. You look back to Gina and watch as she’s talking to one of her regulars. You look to the man and smile slightly. 

“If that’s what you want.”

“Men can be such dogs.” he says as he orders two hot coffees. 

The coffee shop is warm and inviting. You look beyond out of place as people stare at you. Women roll their eyes and men practically drool, but everyone whispers. You didn’t fit in at such a nice place like this. You were an outcast. 

“That’s an understatement.” you laugh as you both sit down in a small booth in the far back corner. 

The man watches as you peer around the cafe. 

“I’m Roger.” he says as he holds out his hand - a hand that you can spot tattoos on.

You stare at it for a moment and then back to him before reaching out as well.

“Cherry.” you say, using your fake name. 

Roger looks half shocked by the fake name choice. 

“Is it because of your lips?” he asks as someone brings the coffee to your table. 

You raise a brow and smirk as you lean closer, allowing your cleavage to be exposed and push against the table for him to see - which he clearly does. 

“You like my lips, Roger?” you purr. “I can show you exactly what they can do.” 

Roger’s taking a sip of his coffee as he chokes a bit and coughs. You just continue to smirk as you lean back against the booth chair. 

“Do you like what you do?” he randomly asks, causing your smile to fall. 

You weren’t expecting a question like that. You’re taken aback as you awkwardly laugh and then just shrug. 

“Bit personal, don’t you think?” you ask, not knowing how to answer. 

Roger understands and nods his head. 

“Listen, would you like to keep me company for dinner at my hotel? I’m here in the city all alone and could use the company. I’ll pay hourly if you want.”

Okay, you’ve never been asked that before. You were mind blown by the sincerity behind that question. 

“Are you trying to murder me?” you ask as you lean forward, your eyebrows knitted together. 

Roger’s eyes open wide for a moment before he laughs. 

“I didn’t think inviting a beautiful girl back to my place for dinner would come across as me wanting to murder you, but I reassure you, no. I’m not.” 

He has a sense of humor. You like that. You smile slightly and then nod as you stand up fast, grabbing your coffee. 

“Alright, I’m starving.” is all you say before walking ahead of him and outside. 

Roger jumps up and hurriedly places his money on the table and rushes after you.

“You’re willing to pay me hourly to just… Spend the evening with you?” 

You’re in the passenger side of his vehicle as he drives through town. His car’s a sports car that you knew cost thousands. Something you always dreamed of having.

“I’m sure other man pay more for worse things.” he teases back, causing you to agree and laugh. 

“Alright,” he starts as he pulls in. “Here we are.” 

You look up the hotel and your face falls. Your eyes are wide and your mouth’s hung open. 

“Holy shit!” you say loudly. “You’re staying at the Four Seasons? Do you know how much this place costs a night?!” you ask completely dumbfounded. 

Roger just laughs and nods as he parks his car in front of the building as valet rush to open the door from him and you. 

“I would hope I’d know. I am the one paying for it.” 

Your door opens up and as you step out, the valet men are staring at you. A woman walks by with a small child holding her hand. The second she sees you, she makes a disgusted face and promptly places her hand over his eyes and hurries inside.

“You go on inside and get warm. I just have to fill out some paperwork for valet.” 

You’re still in shock as you nod and slowly make your way inside. The lobby was huge and beautiful, more beautiful than you had imagined. It was clean and brightly lit as people were dressed up from head to toe. A woman at the front desk watches as you enter and her sweet smile falls into an annoyed one. 

“Ma’am?” she asks as she walks away from her desk and up to you.  

You look to her fast and smile. 

“Ma’am, may I help you with something? Are you lost?” 

Your smile falls as your cheeks turn red. 

“Not lost.” you say back. “Waiting for someone.” 

“Do you have a room with us?” she asks with a snarky tone. 

She knew exactly what your answer would be. 

“Um, no, but-”

“Well then I’m gonna have to ask you to leave the building. We just cleaned the floors.” she says with the rudest smile you’ve ever seen. 

“Excuse me?” you ask, your voice echoing. “I’ll clean these damn floors with your face-” 

Just then, Roger is behind you with his hand on your lower back. You stop talking, but are glaring at the woman. Her face shows that she's frightened from the threat you had just made and you didn’t care. 

“She’s with me.” he says fast. “I didn’t realize that’s how this place treats guests. You should be beyond embarrassed.” he says angry. 

“Oh, Mr. Taylor! I am so, so sorry!” 

She keeps trying to talk to him as he rolls his eyes and walks away with his hand still on your back. You look back to the woman and smile sarcastically while mouthing ‘bye’ and waving your hand. The two of you make it to the elevator and wait for it to open. Once inside, you lean against the wall and close your eyes, sighing to yourself. 

“I’m sorry about that.” he says softly. 

You look to him and smile while shaking your head. 

“Not your fault. I’m use to it. Trust me.” 

Roger wants to say so much more to you, but he doesn’t as the doors open up once more. You all walk out and you follow him to his room. He opens the door and in you walk. Once again, your mouth falls open. The room he’s in is like a small house. There’s a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, two bathrooms and a built in sauna.

“Wow,” you whisper as he shuts the door behind him. 

The bedroom portion is connected to the living as it sits there wide open. You smirk to yourself as you walk over and crawl onto the bed, laying on your side. You eye Roger as he watches you with a faint smile on his lips. 

“Wanna join me?” you ask. 

He smiles even more as he turns around and walks away. 

“Want a drink?” he asks, ignoring your question.

You’re confused as to why he’s not completely melting at your tricks. You roll your eyes and nod. 

“Sure. Whatever you’re having.” 

He brings back a drink and you both sip on it for a moment before he speaks up. 

“You never answered my question from earlier.” 

You look up confused. 

“Do you like what you do?” 

You tense your jaw as a smirk fills your face. You place your drink down and slowly make your way over to him. Roger gulps hard as he lowers his drink and watches you. You press yourself against him and fiddle with the black tie he’s wearing. 

“I’m sure you’d like what I do.” you purr. “How about you make the most out of that money you’re spending, huh?” 

As you’re saying this, your hands are down at his belt buckle and slowly undoing it. Roger’s hand reaches down and stops them. You look to him utterly confused. 

“That’s really not why I invited you here.” he says softly. “When I saw you, before I knew what it is you… do, I wanted to meet you. Talk to you. Get to know you.”

Your heart melts as he explains everything to you. You remove your hands and take a step back - your eyes never leaving his. 

“You really don’t want anything?” you ask softly. 

“I really don’t.” he says back sweetly. 

You’re both quiet for a moment as you walk back to the couch in the living room and lean against it.

“No.” you say, confusing Roger. “No, I don’t like what I do. It makes you feel like less of a human the more you do it and now… I don’t who I am anymore. I put on this persona of Cherry and… It’s like I get lost in it.” 

Roger’s surprised that you actually had opened up to him - a complete stranger.

“Why do you keep doing it?” he asks, walking closer to you. 

“Because… Because I work for someone and they would be beyond pissed off if I left. I’m too scared I suppose.” 

Roger walks all the way up to you as you take in a deep, shaky breath. Something about him took your breath away. You look up and stare into his eyes as he does the same. 

“You’re a very beautiful girl.” he whispers. “Let me help you.” 

As he says those words, the wall you had built was put back up. You were angry as you stood up straight. 

“I’m not a charity for you to feel bad for!” you spat at him. “I don’t need your pity help!” 

You go to walk around him, but not before he grabs your wrist and pulls you back to him. Without thinking, you lean forward and kiss him. His hand’s cupping your face as you moan against him. The kiss was slow and sweet, the opposite of what you’re used to. Roger was taking his time with you. He hadn’t even been the one to start the kiss - you had. After several more moments, you both lean away to catch your breath. 

“I’m sorry.” he whispers. “I wasn’t planning on that happening.” 

You just smile and shake your head. 

“That one’s on the house.” you tease, causing him to laugh. “Kiss me again.” you whisper. 

He listens as his lips are back on yours. This was the first time in a very, very long time that someone had actually wanted to kiss you and not because they paid you to. The whole mood was different from previous hookups and it made this warm feeling in your belly spark up. Being wanted and not tossed to the curb afterwards was a good feeling and you didn’t want this to end. 

“We’re not on the clock anymore.” you sigh against his lips. 

Roger’s hands were perched on your hips as he squeezes. You had began slowly walking backwards towards his bed. He stops and leans away, slightly shocked. 

“Not on the clock?” he asks. 

“I don’t want your money.” you tell him. “Right now, just you.” 

Roger smiles and resumes him kissing you until you’re all the way to his bed. The back of your legs hit it and you fall backwards. You laugh loudly as Roger stares down at you - admiring you. This was also a first. In the eyes of every man you’ve been with was lust, but with him, it was different. Lust was nonexistent and replaced by something you weren’t sure of. What you were sure of was that, when the morning comes, you’d be tangled with Roger in bed.

You were right. 

The sun attempted to shine through Roger’s hotel’s curtains. Your limbs were tangled up as your naked bodies pressed together. Roger hums as he begins to wake up and squirm around, causing you to do the same. You stretch and yawn as you look up to a sleepy Rog. His hair was crazy, but he looked none the less gorgeous. You couldn’t help but smile. 

“Good morning.” you whisper. 

“Mmm, good morning.” he whispers back. 

“Sleep okay?” you ask as you sit up on your elbow. 

“Like a baby.” he teases. “How about you?” 

“Well,” you start with a smirk. “From what I can remember, we didn’t do that much sleeping.” 

Roger smiles and raises his brows as he nods his head. 

“For an old man, I’m surprised I could stay up that late.” he teases. 

You have a serious look on your face as you bring your finger to his mouth and cover it. 

“Don’t call yourself that. Understood?” you ask seriously. 

Roger can’t help but smile as he nods. 

“Yes, ma’am.” he jokes, causing you to laugh. 

Your smile faintly falls as you look down and think. 

“Were you serious about helping me, you know, get out of this?” you ask. 

Roger knows exactly what you’re referring to. 

“Cross my heart.” he tells you as he sits up as well.

He makes a x motion over his heart as you laugh and bite your lip. 

“Cross my heart.” you whisper as you make the same x motion. 

Roger stared at you with the crinkling of his blue eyes. You smile and suddenly think about Gina and how worried she must be. You sit up fast and search for your outfit that was thrown across the floor. 

“I should really be going.” you say sadly. “My roommate probably has all of New York looking for me.” 

Roger gets up from bed and dresses quickly with you. 

“Wish you didn’t have to leave.” he admits, causing you to look at him and smile. 

“Don’t think this is the last of me you’ll see.” you tease. “But next time, it’ll be double.” 

Roger smirks and walks up to you and places his hands on your hips.

“Oh will it?” he asks. “I’d pay anything to see you again.” 

You bite your lip as you smile and lean in to kiss him one last time. 

“I put my number next to your bed.” you tell him as you walk away towards the door. 

You open it up just as he calls out for you. 

“I still don’t know your name!” 

You turn around and watch as he anxiously waits. 

“Y/n.” you tell him with a smile and then you’re gone. 

You were confused about what had replaced the look of lust, something you had been so used to seeing, in Roger's eyes. You just didn’t know that eventually you would understand that look like the back of your hand.

Hello! Just about to sit down and read your newest fic, so excited about it! I had a question for you (you very well may have answered this already, so sorry in advance!), but do you have advice for writing? Advice in terms of getting start, plotting out stories, helping get the creative juices flowing? I have all these ideas but seem to lack the drive to get things written out. I know the best advice is to just write, but I'm having a horrible time starting. What do you do in those moments?

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. The lord has blessed me with a head cold and ruined all my plans of productivity for the day, so I can finally answer this ask! I’ll talk a little bit about both how to get started with a story and then some little things that help me motivate myself.

This is going to be a long post, sorry mobile users.

I am going to preface all of this with the understanding that I am technically a professional writer in terms of like, a handful of ways, but I have absolutely zero training in creative writing, so take everything I say with a grain of salt!

So, I personally find that, on the whole, that psychological hurdle of getting started comes a lot from the anticipation of the kind of response a story will get (how many hits, how many comments, how many kudos) in addition to a bit of anxiety or fear over  theloss of sustained interest in that story (by yourself and/or by your audience). I find that this can be alleviated by really, truly internalizing the understanding that you are allowed to write your work however you damn please, for whoever you damn please.

There will be work you write for others, and there will be work you write for yourself. Not all work needs to be published; sometimes, it is really nice to just write shit for yourself; it is a plus for humanity if you decide to share it with others, but you do not have to do that.

Furthermore, I would like to present you with this:

This is what my current folder for under fire looks like. And you might notice that there are almost always multiple drafts per chapter. Yes, I did in fact rewrite chapter four 5 fucking times, you bet your ass I did. And I’m not ashamed of it. I think the story is better for it. And that’s the important thing here: you do not need to produce a perfect draft the first time around. You will not produce that perfect draft. Accept this. Embrace this. Embrace it and your cat at the same time to really ingrain it as a warm, fuzzy feeling.

Liberate yourself from the pressure of needing to produce the perfect, most right draft and you may find starting the piece overall to be a much easier, more pleasant experience.

And along with this beautiful, uplifting spiritual advice, I also bring a practical thought: when it comes to getting started, a lot of times, people feel like they need to set the stage, yadda yadda yadda. Ha. No. Fuck that.

That’s a surefire way to bore the shit out of yourself. Start right in the middle of a scene that captivates you if that’s what you want to write. It’s a free platform. No one’s gonna arrest you if you stick Spiderman upside down in trash first thing. They might even applaud you actually, because you didn’t make them slog through some of that ‘It was the evening of the 25th and it was cold out in the streets” bullshit we all learned from Dickens.

Alright. Now let’s talk about actually getting started making words appear on paper.

So, from my knowledge there are generally two ways that folks write creatively. You have what I’m going to call the planners and then you what I’m going to call the monsters (I call them this entirely affectionately, I’m sure there’s a better word for these folks, but I don’t have it atm, all I have is a headcold). Planners are folks who sit down and work out their major plot points, who write outlines, and who create the scaffolding of their work before they set out on their magical journey. I think of these folks as architects.

And then you have the monsters and these are those fuckers who just sit down and write stream of consciously like the heathens all our high school teachers tried to teach us not to be.

I am both a planner and a monster. And a lot of that depends on the length of work I’m going for. I have never in my life planned a one-shot, for example. I just attack that as it is. I follow my heart, if you will. But when it comes to longer chaptered fics, I really do think that some outlining is super helpful.

You might find it useful for one-shots, though, I dunno. Maybe give it a try and see what happens?

The two main fics I’ve done proper outlines for are Inimitable and under fire and I actually find outlining to be immensely helpful in psyching me up to write the story (I go through and re-read my outlines when I start to lose interest or diverge too much from the plot outlined there in the actual writing. 9 times out of 10, re-reading gets me stupid excited to write all over again) and it also helps me keep momentum going throughout the plot.

Physically writing the work is really important for me because it forces me to only put down key points/feelings/ideas I want to include, whereas typing gives me far too much room to get lost/distracted by extraneous detail. And since my handwriting is a teacher’s worst nightmare and I cross out shit and write huge with emotion, I’ll give you a little bit of what the middle page here says:

closing his eyes doesn’t bring the space back

he goes home anxiously. Pretends everything is normal.

So basically it’s less of a formal outline and more of a collection of stream of consciousness feelings and screenplay directions which I’ll flesh out in the actual story.

Personally, I love writing these kinds of things because they get me pumped for the story I’m about to tell. I get to write out the key scenes and work through all the hard parts first, and then, while I’m writing, I work through the little fun details and banter and I have to write to figure out how we get from one scene to the next and I love the challenge of having to fit those pieces together. I very rarely stick strictly to my outline, (as anyone who is currently reading under fire can tell you right now), but I do try to stick to the main plot points in it and my writing is certainly better for it.

So yes. Outlining is very good, but it is even better when you do it to some kind of music. I listened to What’s Up Danger from the Into the Spiderverse soundtrack on repeat while I wrote this outline to kind of transfer some of the relentless pace conveyed in that song to the piece’s plot.

I highly recommend using music to set the mood of your piece while/before you write a piece of any length. It helps get you in the right headspace (excited or somber or angry) to write. You need emotion to write creatively. You can’t just make that happen sometimes; you need a little help.

A couple other things which might help:

1. Leave your house or the space you’re normally in. Go to a cafe and find a nice corner and have a think and a try in there. Sometimes moving to a different space helps you escape cyclical thinking patterns.

2. Write what you want to read. Don’t bother writing for other peoples’ interests; that’ll just bore the shit out of you all over again.

3. Find an atmospheric mood sound to listen to on Youtube or smth (I personally like Rain on a Car Windshield for slightly somber fics, but you might be into ocean storms or dripping caves or whatever).

4. Heat your feet. I don’t know why but I am entirely unproductive when my feet are cold. Maybe this one is me-specific, but whatevs. Heat the feets!

5. If you’re still having trouble just sitting down and pounding the story out, that’s okay! Maybe it’s not ready to be written yet. Maybe you’re not in the right headspace yet. Sometimes that’s just how it is. One story makes its way out in like, a hour, and the next one takes like, months to finally be written. We all work at different paces. We all write for different reasons.

It might help to figure out why you want to write a story before you write it. Like, if its for attention, it’s gonna be hard as hell. But if there’s an idea that you feel like is important or if there’s a mood you’re trying to work yourself into or out of, then that might be a little easier. For example, I wrote a piece called make it work which is about Fogs finding his motivation to be a lawyer and fight for justice when Kavanaugh was confirmed and I felt super helpless in the face of our present justice system. That story kind of wrote itself and it needed to be written, I feel, not just for me, but for others who were feeling just as helpless.

Writing is catharsis in that way. Maybe you just need to find out what you need to wring out of your soul.

Sorry that got very metaphysical. But I do want to stress that getting started and ending a story are the hardest parts of writing them, so you are definitely not alone if you feel like you’re ramming your head into a wall here.

Sam hadnt stopped telling everyone about this girl she had met since ten minutes after meeting her, which was three weeks ago now. If she wasnt texting her, she was infodumping everything about her to Kat or Sofia or occassionally Jackie and Nic when they were free and up for listening, and if she wasnt doing that, she was daydreaming about kissing her and moving in together, she had even planned their wedding.

Ren tried to keep her in check, so she didnt talk everyone's ears off about some girl they hadnt even met, but even she had to admit she was smitten with her too.

Of course, Ren didnt allow herself to talk to this girl, aware that there would be questions that she couldnt answer with a clear conscious. But she could at least admit she was gorgeous, and Sam's dramatic exaggerations of her beauty werent that far off, or were at least deserved.

They had finally gotten into a point in their friendship where Sam felt comfortable enough to blurt out that she liked her as more than a friend, and as they waited in an increasingly awkward silence, she and Ren decided that no matter what happened, they were glad to have met her.

Dani had responded positively, though! She liked Sam back, and wanted to get to know her more, so she invited Sam on a date on Friday night.

So she acquired permission for Sofia's car, and then waited in an anxious ball for the next two days to pass by. She barely slept and barely ate, only remembering to take her meds because of her alarms and Kat's gentle reminders.

Finally, Friday morning rolled around.

Ren took them to the bathroom, showering and shaving and curling their hair and washing their face with 13 different products, finally finishing with some "light" makeup.

Sam hated it, wanting to scratch at her nose and cheeks and forehead, but knew it would just mess up Ren's hard work. Admittedly, she looked pretty, and Ren's skill was impressive.

They left the bathroom in a towel, giving an awkward smile to Kat as she headed out of the cabin.

Arriving in their room, Sam realized she had to actually get dressed, but didnt know what the fuck to wear. She didnt wanna get out of the towel dress, didnt wanna wear pants or shorts or, gods forbid, a skirt.

So, the only option was a dress.

She had a few, and she liked most of them, but a couple were Ren's, and those were on the downward side of her "like" spectrum.

This is when Ren started stirring again, coaxing Sam to at least try on a few of hers, just to see how they looked with her hair and face all dolled up.

Sam decided to humor her, trying on three before finding one of Ren's she did actually like; a black long sleeve dress with a short skater skirt, and weird ass hole patterns along the whole thing. Weird patterns aside, it was a gorgeous dress, and hugged her body in some pretty flattering ways.

She kept it on, hanging up the other dresses and doing a quick spin in front if the mirror.

Oh yeah, this was a good dress; the skirt flared up and twirled around her, probably showing off her ass a little, but she would put on those dress short things that hide your underwear and call it good.

Despite how happy she was with the dress, there was a new one she got that she honestly loved, and had been waiting for an excuse to wear for a few weeks now.

So she slipped off the black dress carefully, pulling on the dark blue one instead, the pink and peach flowers catching her eye in the mirror immediately. She slipped her hands in the pockets and spun, flaring the dress manually. Even if she had to put work in, the action still made her smile, and she decided this one looked pretty too.

Ren sighed quietly, saying that they were both pretty but the black one was a little nicer, yeah?

Sam groaned, honestly unsure which she preferred. A quick glance at the clock told her that she didn't have a whole lot of time to debate, so she bit her lip and decided to get third party opinion.

Remembering Kat had just left though, her heart started beating faster in a small panic. She grabbed her phone and pulled open her messages, seeing the last person she talked to was Nic!

He would know how to do the date thing, right? I mean, he got the only person as cool as him, so he had to at least be able to advise her for clothes right? Fuck, she hoped so.

She snapped a quick picture of the blue dress while it was still on, quickly pulling it off and putting the black one back on.

Taking a picture of that too, she gathered both and sent them to him, captioning it "Fashion emergency, Ren and I cant decide what to wear for our, my? Date tonight!! Mind helping a little?"

She sent off the message, twirling for a second in the dress again, habitually reaching for pockets that werent there and frowning a little. She didnt dwell on lost pockets though, going back to her closet and pulling out different shoes.

If he picked the black one, would she wear heels or boots? Flats maybe? Not boots, for sure, but I have 4 pairs of black flats and 3 different heels.

Okay, fuck that, what about if he picks blue? I have 2 pairs of blue flats, plus a pair of blue heels, and any of the black shoes would be cute probably.

Sam groaned, quickly realizing she had far too many shoes, and she was completely hopeless with fashion stuff.

Luckily, she wasnt alone with her indecisiveness; Nic responding with a comment about how pretty she looked and how happy he was for her, finishing off by saying that her hair accented the blue one in a really pretty way.

Sam squealed and set her phone down, sliding the dress on and examining herself, brushing some setting power off of the chest and brushing down the skirt a little, finishing by fluffing her hair a tiny bit.

Yeah, she looked good.

She grabbed a pair of comfy blue shoes and a pair of cute heels that she could totally walk in if Ren was fronting, snapping pics of them on her bed and sending both to Nic, saying "You're a fucking lifesaver and I preesh you. Would you mind if I asked for one more?"

His response was quicker, "Go for more comfortable in case you're out for a while. Dont wanna cut tonight short cause your feet hurt!"

Sam laughed a little, enjoying the implications that Dani would actually enjoy her presence enough to want to hang out past dinner.

Still, she slipped on some small socks and the flats, floofing the hem of the skirt in front of the mirror again. Dad made the right call, and she was fucking rocking the look.

She took a better quality picture, showing off the whole look to Nic, writing a quick, "You're a fucking god and thank you so much!! Love you, dad :D"

She didnt wait for a reply, putting her phone into a sorta-matching bag and making sure she had her wallet and keys in it. Finally, she was ready, and ahead of schedule!

She left the cabin quick, making it to the car and driving off without incident.

30 minutes later, she was in the restaurant checking to see if Dani had already been seated. The host led her back to Dani's table, the latter standing up and pulling Sam into a hug before pulling away.

"You look stunning, Jesus Christ.." Sam blushed, stuttering out a small thank you and reciprocating the compliment.

Dani was fucking gorgeous, wearing fancy pants and a nice top, with a complementing jacket draped over the back of her chair.

They parted completely, Dani stepping back and pulling Sam's chair out, coming around to sit again after she pushed Sam in too.

They ordered drinks, neither of them getting anything alcoholic, and then food quickly, only quiet small talk shared as they decided.

Once the menus were taken though, Dani started firing off random questions that Sam struggled to answer, the questions getting more ridiculous as they went; "What would you name a pet dolphin?", "If you could name your super-sidekick, what would you pick?", "Who came to mind when I said super-sidekick?"

Eventually they were both giggling and laughing, Dani not holding back with her head tilted back and a big grin on her face, and Sam keeping herself quiet by biting her lip, also suppressing her own grin.

Their food came, and they made more small talk while they ate, learning small things about each other that Sam loved knowing; Dani loved shellfish but hated other seafood, and her first dog was named Popcorn, and her first girlfriend was in the 7th grade, and they kissed on their first anniversary.

Dani didnt push when Sam frowned at the mention of first girlfriends, avoiding the subject by instead asking her favorite sport, and if she had ever been skiing, and what her favorite halloween costume was.

By the time they finally finished dinner, including a relatively small dessert that they shared, it was 11 pm, and they didnt want to go their separate ways just yet.

So they split the bill and took their leave, heading a block over to the nearest park. Sam started shivering as they walked, but she pursed her lips and ignored it, bracing herself against the breeze that was colder than she was expecting.

Dani stopped in front of the intersection, not even hitting the crosswalk button before taking her jacket off and draping it over Sam's shoulders.

Only then did Sam realize Dani was so fucking tall. Like, she was 5'4, Dani was at least a whole head taller, with slightly broader shoulders and such big fucking arms.

Distracting herself quickly, she slipped her arms into the warm jacket while Dani hit the button.

The jacket was so fucking big on her, naturally. The sleeves went past her hands, the bottom edge coming down past her butt, and the shoulders were already sliding down her, well, shoulders.

Dani wrapped her arm around Sam, keeping the jacket upright and also keeping their warmth closer to their bodies.

They crossed into the park, still entwined and cuddling, both content to walk around in the quiet night for a while.

Sam glanced up at the sky, doing a double take as she saw the big moon and bright stars.

Slowly, she started asking Dani about how much she knew about space, sharing little facts and tidbits that she knew, until Dani asked her to share more. She took the jacket off after a moment of hesitation, laying it on the grass and sitting down on it, patting the space next to her so Dani could sit.

She complied, even following when Sam laid back fully, listening quietly but enthralled as Sam pointed out constellations and planets and even a couple satellites that they noticed passing by.

Dani entwined their hands, looking over at Sam with a small smile. She didnt notice the gaze, still caught up in telling the story behind one of the many constellations she had loved learning about. Dani couldnt help but smile with her as her shy smile grew into a big grin that she didnt even hide the longer she talked.

Sam finally tired herself out, looking over at Dani with her smile returned to its shy, apologetic size. She leaned forward before Sam could speak, kissing her shoulder gently.

"You're really smart, and you clearly know your stuff about this. I love hearing you talk about the stars and space and everything involved with that, Sam. And thank you for sharing," Sam was shocked, her mouth opening a little, like she wanted to protest but though better of it. Dani gave her a small but genuine smile, squeezing her hand gently.

Sam squeezed back, whispering a quiet "Thank you," before nuzzling her forehead onto Dani's shoulder, hiding her face and her slightly-visible smile.

When she pulled away, she caught Dani's eye, both of them refusing to look away. Her hair was a forest green but looked so much lighter under the moon, and San wanted to run her fingers through it.

Dani was a step ahead of her, turning onto her side and releasing Sam's hand so she could pull her into a hug. Her forehead was pressed against Dani's collarbone, but she was so comfortable and felt so safe already.

After everything, she could use a little safe.

So she hugged Dani back, looping their legs together and holding her close, and they stayed like that until the sprinklers turned on.

They both grabbed their shit and ran out of the park, dripping wet and laughing, Sam doubled over by the time they reached the outer sidewalk.

Dani gasped for breath, glancing over at Sam before another laughing fit erupted from her. In the midst of her own fit, Sam barely registered that she wanted to hear Dani laugh like this more often.

The puddles beneath them grew as they slowly calmed down, Dani still letting out quiet giggles every so often, while Sam was just smiling big and proud.

"Your hair still looks beautiful, this is unfair, you're like a goddess or something!" Sam froze, looking over at Dani as she spoke. Her hair was falling into her face, whatever she had used to make it stand up clearly not being waterproof.

"Y-your hair is absolutely gorgeous, and you're rocking the whole.. messy hair vibe. Like, shit, you're so fucking pretty, I could actually ki-" Sam cut off, her eyes widening a little.

Its not that she didnt wanna kiss Dani, but she didnt want her to feel obligated to, I mean it was their first date, and they were both probably cold, and she was getting closer, why was she getting closer?

Dani rested her hands on Sam's shoulder and cheek, giving her a second to pull away before pressing their lips together.

Sam's hands flailed at her sides, before Ren placed them on Dani's hips and kissed her back. Sam came back in control, her eyes sliding shut in near bliss. Dani’s lips were soft and warm, and her hands were playing with Sam’s hair. 

They parted slowly, Dani meeting Sam’s eyes with a small smile. 

“You kiss good,” Were Sam’s first words, barely a whisper as her eyes flicked between Dani’s and her lips. Dani laughed a little, leaning over and kissing Sam’s cheek quickly. 

“You kiss good too. And thanks, Sam,” She was still smiling, and it had Sam smiling back. They stood there for a moment in silence, until Dani spoke up again, “Youre still shivering, do you want to call it a night?”

No, she really didnt, but she was really cold, and she had to take her meds before bed, lest she wake up like an asshole or have nightmares or both. 

She sighed, not knowing how to explain any of that without sounding fucking psychotic, so she simply nodded a little. “’m sorry”

“Hey, no need to apologize, i get it, its 2 am and we both have class tomorrow, its all good. You had fun tonight though?” Dani hooked her arm through Sam’s, guiding them back towards the restaurant and where they had parked. 

Sam blinked in surprise at the time, but didnt comment on it, instead answering, “This has been the best night ive had in.. ever? Its been so much fun just talking with you, and hanging out, and just.. being with you. Youre so sweet and funny and patient, and i.. really hope we can do this again sometime soon?”

Dani smiled, swinging their hands between them as she nodded rapidly. “Id be so down for that, and we can go out earlier than today? Just so we arent out all night?”

Sam nodded, looking up at Dani nervously, “Fuck yeah, or we could like.. i dunno, set up something so we spend the night together..?” 

“Sam Kyle, are you implying-”

“No!! No, not like that!!!!” Dani started laughing again as Sam covered her face with her free hand.

When Dani calmed down again, they had reached the parking lot and stopped walking. “I wouldnt mind having a sleepover though, with or without that.” She said with a fond smile. 

“That.. yeah, fuck yeah, how bout we plan something in the morning?” Dani agreed, and they shared another small kiss before going their separate ways. 

Sam walked quietly into the cabin, sure Kat would be asleep by now. She shot a quick text to Dani telling her that she arrived safely, getting one a few minutes later saying the same. They said their thank you’s and good night’s, before Sam noticed she still had Dani’s jacket on. 

She snorted as she saw herself in the mirror, flapping the sleeves briefly before deciding she did still look cute in it; the color even matched the flowers on her dress! 

She took one last picture, and went to send it to Nic, finally seeing that he had wished her good luck before she even left for the date, and had sent another message asking about how it went. With a small smile, she hit send on the photo, the caption a long ramble about how much fun they had and that they were planning another one soon. 

He responded with a small joke about the comfortable shoes, before saying how happy he was that she was moving on and finding some happy of her own. 

They talked for another few minutes while Sam took her meds, got changed into pjs and washed off the makeup, saying good night’s of their own before she laid down to finally sleep, after three very long, anxious days. 

She cuddled close to Peter, her amethyst necklace around his bear neck, bidding goodnight to the stars around her room and both her dads, finally having a completely dreamless night’s sleep.

Deathly Obvious

A/N: Fulfilled a request from anon. Sent this to a friend and she actually cried and sent me a pic of it so i know its real lmaooo. I liked this one a lot better than the other two i wrote but ill let everyone else decide that I guess. Also, Gustave Buhr is a fictional name I just used a name generator. 

You had not meant for this to happen. You felt like such an idiot for taking this risk in the first place. You knew as soon as you confronted the unsub that he would do something crazy with you. Here you were on the floor of a dirty abandoned building, unsure of your location and tied to a big post that held up the ceiling. You were extremely dizzy, just shifting your eyes was too much to bear. Your earpiece was still on but it wasn't connected to anything anymore so it was rendered useless.     

"Oh, You're awake! Great!" Gustave Buhr stands in front of you, kicking you in the chest when you tried to move. "Hey, hey, none of that now." he studies you as you close your eyes. "Hey, no passing out either. I need you awake for your team to watch you die." Your heart was pounding out of your chest as you shed a single tear.     

"Oh, don’t worry, I wont die tonight." you say, somewhat cocky.     

"Don’t be so sure sweetheart." he snaps back. He kicks you in the chest again, causing you to flinch, crying out a little. "Mm, look how cute you are. All scared and waiting for me to do something." You don’t speak, afraid of your cracking voice that would give you away. Meanwhile, Spencer Reid looks through the footage they recovered of the building. He had Garcia intercept a camera feed coming in from where you were. He catches glances at your attacker, having to turn away when he hits you. He cringes when he hears you grunt in frustration.      "Garcia can we track this?" he says hastily.    

  "Uhhh....." she types away at her keyboard, pulling up numerous pages of information and loading screens. "Maybe. He seems to have done a good job of hiding this feed..."     

"God, how long will it take?!"     

"I don’t know, baby, maybe an hour, maybe several."     

"We don’t have that much time! Get Morgan on the phone!" he yells, Garcia grabs his hand.     

"We'll get his guy. How many abandoned places can there be that looks like that?" she rubs the top of his hand. "Also, babe, you gotta tell her."    

 "Uh uh. No way."      

"Come on, she already knows basically. Everyone does." he blushes, turning away.      

"We'll see. If we find her alive..." she hits him hard in the arm     

"Don’t say that." Gustave hovers above you, kneeing you in the face, causing your nose to bleed. Spencer can hardly look, his fists clenching in irritation. Gustave sits in a chair across from you.      

"Doll, wake up, will ya? Listen. You sound like a nice girl. But I gotta keep my promise." he was referring to his promise to kill you that he made with none other than Spencer. Watching this, Spencer paces the room. He grabs his keys suddenly, throwing on a vest, startling Garcia who snaps her head around to see the back of his head leaving the room. He jumps in his car without a word. He figured it out. He knew where you were. The drive was painful, he had to dodge a lot of things, mostly the speed limit. He throws his car into park in front of the building.    

 "Reid! What are you doing? Dont do anything stupid! You have to wait for backup." Morgan says into the earpiece. He grits his teeth.     

"Screw that!" he growls, getting out of the black Sedan and kicking down the door. "FBI! Let me see your hands."     

"Not another step or I /will/ shoot her." he stands quickly, pointing the gun he was holding at you.      

"Spence!" You gasp quietly, trying to get free of where you were tied. He and Gustave stare at each other.     

"You know I made a promise..." he smirks at Spencer, not looking at you but firing a shot that grazes your shoulder. You scream out, unable to grab the wound to prevent bleeding. You start to get teary eyed, Spencer fires his shot to subdue him and drops his gun quickly once backup arrived only seconds later. He basically crawls over to you to untie you and hold onto your wound.      

"Hey. Y/N, stay with me alright? You're alright okay? I’ve got you." you clutch onto his bulletproof vest, crying softly into his chest as he lifts you, carrying you to the ambulance below. You start to shake as he sits you on top of the gurney.      "No. No hospital."     

"Yes, Y/N, you're bleeding really bad." your vision gets hazy. "Ive got you."     

"D-Dont le-ave." you gasp, he holds your hand and sits in the ambulance to the hospital.

 "Spencer!" you scream, jolting straight up and startling the man in the chair beside your hospital bed. You cried softly into your hands until a hand grabs your wrist, startling you more. "Spencer...Did you...Stay here all night?"    

 "Of course." he smiles, blushing a little and looking down at his shoes. "You asked me to stay." you rub your face to wake up properly.     

"Fuck, I hope I didn't disturb anyone."     

"You're alright." he chuckles. You lean back in the bed again and sigh deeply. "You scared me pretty bad. I didn't think he would actually shoot."     

"Stupid. We both were. I think I should transfer. Or quit. Spencer, it was so stupid of me. And I love these people too much for me to risk anything else."    

 "Y/N please don’t say that..."    

 "It's true. They always say not to mix personal stuff with work stuff. Plus going in alone was so fucking stupid."     

"Shhh. Don’t get so worked up. It's all okay. We can talk about it later."     

"Spencer, I know this is hard for you especially."     

"What does that mean?" he chuckles.     

"You aren't exactly subtle. I just love to tease you at this point. Its really funny to flirt with you but..."    

 "Oh...um. I didn't know you knew."     

"Everyone does."     

"So I've been told." he sighs, looking away. "Sorry, I just. I don’t want to talk about this."    

 "Spence, I'm not /that/ hurt. I'm fine." he doesn't speak for a minute. He expected to hear 'Sorry, but I don’t feel the same.' or 'its been fun but we cant' but instead what he heard was. "I know its weird, but..."     

"What?" he chuckles nervously. You grab his hand, squeezing lightly.      

"I'm into you too, dork."

Summary: AJ and Shane struggle with their feelings for each other, before and after Wrestlemania 33 (Part One is here, and here’s Part Two – This starts up again the night after they’ve had their chat in the storeroom backstage at SmackDown during the last chapter. Then it goes back in time a bit to see how they got where they are..)

Notes: I’m trying to keep to a proper timeline with the appearances on Talking Smack that will feed in later, and what-happened-when on SmackDown. The UpUpDownDown cakeness in this chapter isn’t at the right time, though – I slightly fudged when that happened to fit it in...

Conflict: Part Three

Shane’s been waiting for AJ for three and a half hours now. He’s lying on the hotel bed in the dark, fully clothed, shoes still on, drumming his stomach with his fingers. No doubt AJ’s going to go back to completely stonewalling him again. He reaches for his phone.

‘You’re not coming’

He doesn’t expect a response. AJ opening up to him again today was just a fluke, another little bit of hope to torment him. Physical proximity is the key to getting through to AJ, always has been – something about being able to hear Shane’s voice makes him listen. Touches make his shoulders relax, eye contact makes the truth come out. As soon as they’re physically apart again, the anger in AJ comes back. Suddenly, AJ thinks Shane’s playing a game with him – Shane wants to ruin his life; AJ’s never been interested in a man because he’s not like that; he was confused; he needs to reconnect with his church. All the things that fall away when Shane touches him.

Shane’s phone vibrates.

‘I cant’

Shane sits up on the bed, holding the phone in front of him. AJ’s thinking about it in the dark, too. What can he message back; what can he say that won’t make AJ shut down? He needs AJ here in front of him, but this is the chance he’s been given.

As he panics, his phone vibrates in his hands again, lighting up the dark room with a glow.

‘u don’t just want to talk’

He’s right. Shane quickly messages back.

‘No?’

‘nope. I know u’

Shane pulls himself to the edge of the bed and turns the lamp on, dropping the phone for a moment to wipe his clammy hands up and down on his pants – this is a big thing AJ’s doing right now, letting him back in. Shane can’t help the little thrill that goes through him at AJ allowing this type of communication. He thinks, and starts to type in...

‘What do you think I want to do?’

Will AJ respond to that? Please, please let AJ respond to that and not get mad, Shane thinks, his leg bouncing up and down.

‘think u want to kiss me again. + more’

Shane sits up straight, his stomach twisting with nerves and excitement.

‘I think I do... do you want me to?’ he thumbs in. That might be too far, but please let it not be, please let AJ respond, even if it’s just to tell him to stop.

‘perhaps’ is what his phone lights up with.

Shane’s head drops into his hands, the phone pressing against his face. AJ’s in the same building, in a room here somewhere, and he maybe wants Shane to kiss him again. And more. Suddenly, Shane feels like the luckiest man in the world, being told ‘perhaps’.

‘Then come and be with me’

He drops the phone again and folds his hands together, pushing them against his face, like he’s praying. Maybe he is praying. When the response comes, he’s confused at first.

‘remember the 1st time’

AJ wants to reminisce... Shane can do that – he likes thinking about that day. Not the arguments before or after, but the complete honesty between them in the middle. Being allowed to touch the other man the way he’d wanted to for so long; to love him.  

AJ texts again, straight away: ‘i was so scared but so happy’

That makes Shane smile.

‘I didn’t think you’d let me near you, I thought I’d messed it all up’

‘you didn’t. I feel so bad all the time shane’

‘You felt good when you were with me?’

AJ keeps him waiting a minute or so, but it feels like longer.

‘yes’

‘So be with me. Not tonight, if you’re not ready. Just don’t push me away anymore. Think about it? Promise me you will?’

Shane’s stomach twists while he waits, hoping AJ will reply.

‘ok’

Thank goodness. Shane falls back onto the bed, holding the phone to his chest and letting out a relieved laugh. He’s got a chance; AJ’s giving him another ‘perhaps’. His phone buzzes again.

‘so... u don’t want to see me 2nite?’

Shane laughs in delight at the flirting starting again. He never thought it would.

‘Nope. I’d rather sleep ;D’

“!!!”

“Think about me tonight?”

Another pause to make Shane worry, the seconds ticking by.

‘i will’

And a beat later:

‘i missed us talking shane’

‘And kissing?’

‘maybe that too’

‘And the rest?’

‘don’t push your luck. Good night shane’

‘Goodnight AJ. I hope you’re wearing those ugly pants you like to wear to sleep in’

He won’t respond to that.

‘wld send u a pic but i don’t want u getting too excited’

Holy crap, he did.

‘You know me so well’

‘stop keepin me awake dang it’

‘You’re keeping *me* awake!’

Another pause, and Shane thinks that might be it for the night.

‘u dont need any beauty sleep u handsome man’

There is no way Shane is going to be able to sleep now, he’s smiling so hard.

‘i shldnt have said that - goodnight shane’

‘Sweet dreams, you sweet man’

‘quit it’

And a moment later...

‘xx’

Shane gets up to turn the light out again, grinning in happiness and relief. He should text his wife to say goodnight, he should. But he forces the thought out of his head along with the guilt.

AJ’s under the same roof as him, and he’s thinking about him. For now, it’s enough.

Shane’s getting to know him. They’re building to their Wrestlemania match months in advance; specific spots to be worked out nearer to the big day, but right now they’re working on their programme by getting comfortable with each other in the ring, talking things out. AJ’s a hard-worker, patient, and Shane enjoys his sense of humour. He likes feeling out AJ’s moves in the ring, sitting on the mat to talk afterwards.

They’re taking another break, gulping down water and quietly talking to each other while others make use of the rings and equipment around them. He trusts AJ, tells him things he probably shouldn’t.

“We don’t get on, actually.”

“Really?”

“Really.”

“How come?”

“He... has a lot of ideas I don’t agree with.”

“Like, maybe, booking himself to main-event WrestleMania two years in a row, instead of giving opportunities to other people…”

“Uh, yeah, maybe something like that.”

Shane looks down, talking quietly, quicker than usual. AJ watches him and blinks softly, not rushing him.

“I don’t know,” Shane shrugs. “I don’t think much of his work. And I know I’ve got no right, I know that. I don’t know what it takes to make it in this business as a wrestler, from the bottom, of course I don’t.” AJ swiftly shakes his head and frowns, which Shane shakes off.

“But... that’s just how I feel. No matter how good he is to Steph, I don’t think much of him; never have. I know he doesn’t think much of me, either.”

There’s a companionable silence while AJ looks out over to the training going on in other parts of the centre, seeing no one can hear them. He looks down to scratch at the mat while he talks, hushed, deciding to trade a secret for Shane’s. 

“I don’t like John.”

“What?”

“Yeah,” he says quietly, like a kid confessing a wrong-doing. “Don’t like ‘im.”   

“I thought he was giving you ‘the matches of your career’...” Shane says, dropping in a quote he’s heard from AJ in numerous interviews.

“Well… the programme went great, don’t get me wrong. And it got me to where I needed to be; I’m grateful for that-”

“No, no, I get it – go on.”

“But…I dunno… him callin’ every match? I worked all over the world before coming here, against some of the best guys around. And, yeah, I know he has, too; I get it. But I have things I can bring to the table. Why’d we always have to work the same style?”

“You mean... you don’t think every match should have at least three AAs in it?”

“Ha!” AJ looks up to catch Shane’s eye in surprise, relieved Shane gets it. They raise their eyebrows at each other and grin, happy to be sharing the secret. “No, I don’t! Plus, do I have to be carried around the ring on the guy’s shoulders at every house show? I carry my kids around like that – do I look like a kid?”

“Well... you kind of do.”

“Shut up, I ain’t that short.”

Shane laughs. “It’s a cute spot, though – the folks in the crowd sure love it.”

“Cute?! Me being carried around like a little baby is cute to you?”

“Well – to everyone! It looks sweet!”

“Oh, cute and sweet, now?! I’m a grown-ass man, Shane – don’t you forget that,” AJ advises with a rougher voice.

“Hmm...” Shane looks him over, appraisingly. ”I think you’ve got a bit more growing to do.”

AJ thumps Shane’s arm indignantly and flashes another grin.

“Whatever, man.”

They should be getting back up to work on their sets; get used to each other’s rhythm, build muscle-memory for the other’s movement. But Shane doesn’t want to get up yet. Doesn’t seem like AJ’s in a hurry to move, either. They catch each other’s eyes again and smile.

“I, uh, won’t hurt you in there, if I can help it,” AJ says hesitantly, gesturing to the ring.

“I know.”

AJ’s looking away and biting at his bottom lip – Shane’s noticed him doing that a lot. Little mannerisms you get to know when you’re working with someone so closely like this. The way AJ smoothes his hair down before he jams his cap on his head. How he walks with his back, really, really straight, as if he can’t bear to lose any inches to the taller people around him. The way he won’t curse, but thinks “motherfreaker” or “freaking” are acceptable alternatives. How much he loves his family. It’s rare Shane feels genuine fondness towards people he works with, the way he’s starting to feel towards AJ.

“Where’s this coming from – think I can’t take what you’ve got?”

AJ softly smiles at Shane’s attempt to move the tone back to teasing, but he’s serious. He takes a deep breath before explaining.

“I remember how you looked at Survivor Series; that bump you took. That was... really bad. This is a big thing for you to do, getting back in the ring again after that. I appreciate it. I really do.”

“You don’t have to appreciate anything – I’m happy to do this. Thank you for working with me. This has been... one of the easiest experiences I’ve had putting a programme together, so far, really.” Shane’s noticed that away from other people, and the easy confidence (almost arrogance) he adopts in groups, AJ doesn’t ever acknowledge compliments. He changes the subject, or starts rubbing his arms, or messing with his hair, scrunching his face up. Which is what he’s doing now.

“Anyway, I’ve taken bigger bumps than that one.”

“You were younger then, Shane. Much younger.”

“Hey, now! Watch it.”

“Old man now – silver fox.” AJ laughs.

“Shut up. But, thank you for calling me a fox – I appreciate that. You’ve got taste, clearly.”

“Well, you pay my bills.”

“No, I don’t.”

“Then, I won’t think you’re a fox anymore,” AJ stretches his arms up over his head, dropping them to huff out, “Anyway, you think Baron is a ‘stud’, apparently, so...”

“I told you I don’t remember saying that – you’re making that up.”

“You said it; I heard ya, Shane – you said it on the aftershow, you know ya did,” AJ explains again patiently, his accent getting thicker. “You said he’s a stud. You’ve never called me a stud. You know I’m still upset about that...”

“Okay, you’re a stud.”

“Thank you,” AJ nods, smirking and taking another gulp of his water.

Shane leans back and lies down on the mat, sweaty back sticking to the plastic. He can feel the heat and sweat coming off of AJ, sitting right next to him in this training gear – loose shorts, T-shirt, and cap. Shane’s used to working out and hanging out with the boys, but he’s always felt the need to impress them, not to be a stuffy office guy. He’s relaxed now, though.

“I heard you yelling at Roman afterwards that night, backstage.”

He has hazy memories of AJ’s gruff voice shouting, amongst all the other yelling voices – remembers seeing him pushing and shoving.

“It wasn’t his fault, you know. These things happen.”

“I know, but... I wouldn’t have let that happen. You’re too easy-going with that stuff, Shane – you have to look after yourself.”

“Stop – I’m fine.”

“Okay, okay; I’ll lay off, I’m not your wife.” AJ scrunches his face up again, thinking. “Your kids looked so strong about it, though; amazing kids.”

“Yeah, really amazing.” Shane smiles in fondness and pride for his children, and AJ smiles too in recognition of the feeling. “They know the business; they’ve pretty much grown up in it, like I did. I’ve tried to keep them away from it, to a degree, but... they’re McMahons. It’s always going to be a part of their lives.’

AJ’s lifted his shirt up to scratch his side where his tattoos are. Shane counts them out of the corner of his eye, noting the slightly mismatched one for his daughter, disappearing into the crease of his skin by his hip.

“I’ve never really been hurt in the ring like that.”

“No?”

“No, I've never been hurt like that; been lucky.” Shane takes in a breath and wonders if he should say it; they’ve never talked about it.  

“I know your lower back's messed up.” AJ tenses up beside him. Shane knows – he’s not stupid. The pain is more than AJ’s talked about, and it’s not something a little yoga or therapy can fix. “I can tell; it’s okay. I've been around you guys my whole life. The way you hold yourself... It hurts, doesn't it?” AJ flicks his eyes to Shane and away, rubbing and then tapping his own arm – another quirk Shane’s noticed.

"Aches all the time," he murmurs, waiting for Shane’s response. Shane’s never seen him with that look on his face – vulnerable. No jokes, no easy arrogance, no good ol’ boy AJ. Shane lifts his hand to touch his back, comfort him, but drops it again. "Well... I’ll treat you gentle, then.” "Ha – you think I can't take it hard anymore, bossman?' AJ turns to him with a flash of teeth, eyes crinkling at the corners. "Hmmph! Well, if hard is how you want it, Mr Jones, then hard is what I'll give you." This joking back and forth is what AJ's comfortable with – Shane’s used to him yelling faux-threats and innuendo like this to him backstage, keeping things light and teasing. It still gives Shane a start sometimes when it gets particularly near the knuckle, though...

AJ shoots Shane a little sly glance of warmth and trust, quirking another smile.  "We're gonna tear this up together, McMahon." "We sure are."

AJ leans in closer over Shane with a conspiratory look. Shane automatically wants to shift away, but he holds himself still on the mat, pulse speeding up and adrenalin going. His body must be used to going into fight mode when AJ’s close, the roughness of their training and drills tricking him. "Trips who, right?" AJ whispers down with another of his soft smiles, moving back again.

Shane lets out a breath, pulse starting to slow back to normal speed. "Now, don't you go saying that around the locker room – you'll get me all amped-up, and I need to concentrate on being gentle with you in the ring, don’t I?" "Ah, screw you, man."

Shane stretches and groans, sitting up. “I guess we better get back to it...”

“Bring your worst – I’ll take it all, Shane.” AJ says with a grin, then flushes a little at his own talk and falters.

Wrestlers are a strange breed, that’s for sure - AJ’s a good one though, Shane smiles to himself. He pulls himself up to his feet and offers his hand to his friend.

AJ’s beating Shane up backstage tonight, it’s all in place. They’ve run through how many hits AJ’s going to get in, how Shane’s going to protect his head and face against the blows, exactly when his head is going to go through the car window, and how hard he should be pushed.

Shane’s used to being pulled and pushed around by AJ during the regular training they’ve been doing, but this is completely different – more opportunities for it to go wrong. There’s been a strange excitement building in Shane’s gut all day, a nervous wait to see if they can pull it off together.

“You ready for this, Shane? I’m gonna give you everything I’ve got, so you just be ready to take it, boy. Because I’m comin’ for you hard,” is the trash-talk AJ’s been throwing at him today. At catering, walking past him in the corridor, Shane popping his head in to make-up.

“Just because I’m sittin’ here gettin’ all prettied up for later, doesn’t mean I can’t kick your ass, so don’t you look at me that way, McMahon.”

“Okay, tough guy.”

“You best know I’m a tough guy.”

“Right – less blush though, Amanda; AJ’s looking flushed already.”

“You’ll be lookin’ plenty flushed later, tell you that,” AJ mutters, looking back down at his phone and letting the make-up department do their work.

The ‘fight’, when it happens, is rough, and Shane’s eye starts to swell and bruise from one of the fists he didn’t block. In rehearsal, each slow-motion run through of their moves had ended with AJ patting Shane’s shoulder with a deep ‘That’s good’ or ‘That’s right’. During the actual scene, AJ has to leave Shane on the floor in a heap, getting in a few last kicks before walking away. From the ground, he can see AJ’s eyes look worried when he spots the blood he’s left. He can also see that AJ’s belt has popped open during the struggle. They got caught up and went too far.    

Afterwards, it feels like it had been real. The adrenalin Shane’s body has started to produce too much of whenever AJ is around rushes through him for hours that night, him not being able to stop lines of AJ’s growled dialogue slipping back into his thoughts.

Memories of what him and AJ had said afterwards keep playing back in his head as well...

“You okay, Shane?! Boy, look at that welt – I’m sorry, man!” AJ reaches to hold Shane’s head in his hands after the broadcast, trying to turn it back and forth for a better look.

“It’s nothing,” Shane says, letting AJ hold his head to see. “It looked great on camera – have you seen it yet?”  

“Nah, just... still trying to calm down,” AJ lets Shane go to run his hands through his own hair, pushing out a shuddering breath. He seems antsy, bouncing up and down on his heels, then shaking his arms out.  

“That was intense, right? I mean, it felt like I was really puttin’ my hands on ya,” He steps closer into Shane’s body, looking at him as if he wants to start it all over again. Shane can’t help but feel a corresponding urge to square up. Something about being around AJ now makes him feel like this, always slightly on edge.

AJ seems to realise what he’s doing and makes himself step back, but his eyes are still shining, and his mouth is hanging slightly open.

“I feel nuts right now. You sure you’re okay, Shane?”

“Told you, I can take the hard hits; don’t go soft on me.”

“Ha, no chance of that,” AJ says with a rasping chuckle, running his pointed tongue over his lower lip – Shane’s noticed him doing that a lot now, too.

AJ laughs at himself. “Boy, it’s fun beating you up. I’m so pumped, feels like I could run ten miles now, easy.”

Shane feels the same, like he could run or fight all night. Instead, he tries to stop bearing his teeth at AJ, stop smiling so much. Wanting to crowd into him for some reason, put his hands on him in response. He wants to bite into something, hard.

He breathes and tries to sound normal.

“Probably too late for that, huh – better just head back to the hotel and... do what you can with that energy.”

AJ raises an eyebrow at that, and Shane realises what he’s implied.

“I mean – in the hotel gym! Or, whatever. Whatever you... want to do.”

AJ leans in, still breathing heavily, Shane feeling it on his face. Shane can’t stop himself from letting his lips peel back over his teeth, leaning in, too.

“Now that, bossman, is none of your business, is it?”

Shane nods at the wink AJ sends him before walking off. Then he notices members of the backstage crew watching him watch AJ walk away with a big smile. He quickly drops it.

AJ is killing him now.

What Daniel said last week about the flirting was right, but he’s wrong about the motivation behind it – he must be. AJ doesn’t realise what he’s doing; surely? Their programme is over, Wrestlemania long gone, but they have a friendship now. Their wives and children get on. AJ and Shane have an easy back and forth; they talk about their families, how it’s going on the road, what they want for the future... but they’ve also kept up with the faux-macho posturing, the innuendo, the ribbing.

But is it ribbing when one person can’t stop themselves from thinking about the other? The inappropriate thoughts that keep crowding in? How many times can a person run to the bathroom to calm down, without their loved ones thinking they’re sick?

Maybe Shane is sick. Because he’s locked in a bathroom again and panicking.

Xavier Woods and that stupid, stupid cake. He’d passed Shane in the corridor a moment ago, backstage, covered in cake and frosting. Which is fine – Shane doesn’t ask questions; never does.

But AJ walking up to him a moment later with a fingerful of it and offering it to Shane? He couldn’t have just laughed that off and walked away, could he? Of course not.  

"It's really good McMahon, you should get you some. You want some... right?" AJ’d taunted smugly, holding his finger in front of Shane’s face.

He’d had that look in his eye that he gets when he’s making these jokes with Shane now, the sparkle that looks like pure joy when Shane plays along. “Play this game with me,” his eyes say. But where does he want the game to lead? Since Shane realised what all the adrenalin is down to, why he feels nervous when AJ’s around, he’s started to stop caring where it goes. He just wants to keep AJ looking at him like that. Like they have this secret funny game no one else knows about. "Hmm... it does look good.”

“Mmm hmm.”

“What if I do want some of that?"

AJ had made like he was really thinking about it. “Well, now that’s a real shame, isn’t it? Because this right here is mine,” he’d said with pretend sadness, shaking his head in mock regret and holding the eye-contact. He’d sighed and slapped his leg with his other hand. “So. What’re we gonna do now, Shane?”  The next moment is what Shane wishes he could rewind and stop. Why Shane’s shut in the bathroom and sweating, waiting for a sexual harassment suit to be brought in here and slid under the cubicle door at any moment.

“I’ve got an idea.”

“Oh yeah?”

He’d grabbed AJ’s thick wrist and quickly swooped his head down over AJ’s hand, lightly closing his teeth down to the middle knuckle of the cream-covered forefinger, dragging the cake and frosting into his mouth. "Mmm. Thanks AJ. Tastes pretty good." Tastes pretty good.

Shane hits his head against the wall of the cubicle he’s locked himself in, feeling thrilled and sick at the same time. Shane just had AJ’s finger in his mouth. And he’d really, really liked it.

His panic gets worse as he gets more excited about what he’s just done. AJ flirting, Daniel?! Right. Sexy handsome raspy-voiced straight man AJ flirting with Shane? Yeah, sure. That's as realistic as... a married straight McMahon suddenly realising he wants a male employee in his bed.

Shane’s losing it, he actually is. Is this stress? Some sort of PTSD after Wrestlemania – is he too old for this? Is that what it is? Why's he thinking like this?  He loves his wife – he loves women – he's never looked at a man like that, except... he looked at AJ in the Wrestlemania gear...

A lot. He told himself at the time that he was just trying to figure out if there was underwear underneath, and if it was decent for broadcast, but no. He was looking. Oh shit – even then, he was looking.  He searches their match up on his phone, watching it on silent, again. Yes, again. How many times has he watched this now? Not enough, not enough. AJ looked so good in those tights, he thinks with growing desperation, so firm but soft, and he felt so warm under Shane's hands. And he was so cocky, baiting Shane in front of everyone, the way he's been doing backstage. What an arrogant and sexy man AJ is, Shane finally fully allows himself to think, mind racing. It's like his brain has just switched on after being locked down for way too long, and all the filthy thoughts flood in one by one. Shane liked him baiting him and grinning that cocky grin; he liked it when AJ called him 'boy' and 'kid'. He’d wanted to show him who the 'boy' really was, though – yeah, fucking show AJ real good. Turn him round into the turnbuckle, pull those stretchy tights right down in front of everyone and bite into AJ's firm cheeks, huh? Force his face between them and eat him out until AJ's just a sobbing mess, hanging over the ropes.  Shane grinds the heel of his hand into the crotch of his jeans, and grits his teeth at the feeling. Would AJ like being spanked?, he thinks with desperation. Yes, he would, he would – he'd want Shane to take him over his knee and whale on him. He got stiff when they had that brawl backstage – Shane noticed that; that’s why the belt popped open. AJ had got an erection from roughing Shane up. He'd joked about it, hadn’t he? "I sure do love givin' you a beating, Shane." Fuck – he's hard in an arena toilet and about to jerk himself off while thinking about that, and he doesn’t care anymore. Shane bets AJ wanted to push him down to his knees on the concrete and grind that denim-covered dick on Shane's face, hook one of those thick thumbs into Shane's mouth to open it up; yes. And Shane would clench his jaw shut against it – but he wants it, AJ knows that, doesn't he-

He hears a door creak open. He freezes.

“Anybody in here?”

It’s AJ, sounding breathless and tense – probably in here to throw up and scrub his hand clean. Shane quickly lifts his feet up and tries to make himself as small and quiet as possible, snapping back to the present and feeling shame and panic course through him.

He sees the shadow of AJ walking past his cubicle, sees it shift as he checks under each door for feet. He can hear AJ let out a sigh when he can’t see anyone, and quickly lock himself into the cubicle next to him. Shane really, really doesn’t want to be here now, but he’s trapped.

He can hear AJ breathing, and a thud, like he’s hitting his head against the partition wall. He’s upset. He’s upset by what Shane just did.

“Oh God... oh God...” Shane gently pushes his ear against the cubicle wall to hear him, and it’s almost as though AJ’s whispering directly into his ear. Shane closes his eyes and wishes he could whisper back, apologise for going too far, making him feel bad. He’s been so messed up and selfish – how could he have let this go so far? He takes his hand away from his hardness and bites his lips, hating himself.

“Oh my fucking God... oh God... Please forgive me,” AJ whispers.

Forgive him?

Shane hears AJ’s zipper being tugged down roughly, jeans being pulled open, and then a bitten-off moan and shuffling.

“Oh God, please forgive me, please forgive me for doin’ this...”

AJ’s touching himself, jerking off in the bathroom. Shane feels a flush go through him.

“I want it so bad, I just want to be touched all the time, Lord – I can’t bear it anymore, please help me, just let me cum, just let me make myself cum while thinkin’ of it, just once.”

He listens to AJ sniff and swallow a few times, gathering himself – hears him clean himself with tissue paper and zip back up, put himself together again. Washing his hands, the door closing after he leaves.

I met Junkrat’s voice actor and he was the coolest dude, damn!

TL;DR: If you ever get the chance to meet Chris Parson, DO IT. HE’S A PERFECTLY WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING.

Thought I’d just make a longish post about meeting Chris Parson, the voice of Junkrat (and many other characters). Because it really meant a lot to me.

I had no idea he would even be at MegaconTampa, the con I was selling at, until last minute when he tweeted that he was excited to attend it. And YO- as ya’ll know he’s like a unicorn~ rare sightings indeed!

Anywho, Got some photos, and autographs, I made it ‘rain’ for him, or so I joked. XD To be fair, he’s the only person (or thing) I spent any money on at the con because I was also selling there, and trying not to buy anything. I went to him Friday and bought a few autographs (For me and gifts for various ppl who weren't there) and a photo with him. ‘Cause who knows if I’ll get another chance!

Then later that day, I decided just his autograph wouldn't be enough for my best friend. So, I went back to him and asked if I could also get a video gift for @lockwayart as she unfortunately was out of town helping her Mom heal and get better. :< (Her Mom has been fighting hard to beat breast cancer a second time.) And I know how much Lock would have loved to have the chance just to meet him. She’d recently finally achieved Diamond with Junkrat on PS4 so, I thought a congrats message would be perfect!

I got to chat him up a bit as well and asked him a bunch of questions, such as why wasn't he at any cons and how come ‘we’ -fans- never see him anywhere online. (he has literally no presence anywhere). I don't wanna assume anything I have no idea about his life or if he’s more of a private person about personal stuffs! But, I also brought up this photo, as being like the only one I’d ever even seen him in, and he’s allllll the way in the back XD

What he told me that he worked a whole lot and he was also kinda a shy guy. In hindsight, this makes perfect sense. A lot of actors are introverts and they can use acting as a way to be more extrovert. :)  He even said he knew what photo I was referring to and said that he had another job to do that day and was kinda rushing it all along lol. He said he came to MegaconTampa because he finally had a whole weekend off. O_O Dang!

So I thanked him for coming to the con and even told him how much it meant to be able just to come up to him and say ‘thank-you.’ It may not mean a lot to voice actors, I’m not sure, but it means a lot to us who connect with the characters they play. It can mean the world when you’re having a rough time of life, and are able to also have a great creative outlet. He was too sweet and so damn nice, he didn’t rush me off and I made sure there was no one else in line that I’d be holding up while I talked to him lol. But I shook his hand and then I was off.

Or so I thought, that night after giving the video to Lock and listening to how happy it made her while she was going through such a tough time I really wanted to go talk to him again. And get another video ahaha, as she couldn't be there in the flesh, I think it was way better to get video than just a photo or autograph. So I asked her what she would like to have him say if she could meet him and she gave me a line she’d love to hear him say to McCree.

Saturday I was working and busy busy so I wasn't able to go see him until Sunday again. My boothmate and I got our table all set up and then once the con started and we found it was off to a slow beginning I decided it was a good time to take leave before the afternoon when more people would arrive. I went over and waited in the line. Again I wanted to make sure no one was behind me so I didn't make anyone wait -I know how that can be to be kept waiting XD- so I told him that I wanted another video, he seemed surprised lol but was totally down! So then I got the second voice line for Lock :D I wrote the quote for him and everything because when I’m excited I talk too fast so ahaha;;; And I thanked him and mentioned off hand that it was for her again, then showed him the messages she’d sent me and told him that it meant a lot and he asked about her situation with her Mom.

So I told him about her having to leave to go back up to Ohio because she needed to help her Mom who’s breast cancer had returned. And then he freaked me out by saying “Can you call her up? Call her and tell her someone wants to talk to her, then let me talk to her?”

And I was like- ?!!?!?!!! YES! WHOA- YES I WILL. I was so nervous I was shaking with excitement! So I called and was like oh god please answer, because I know she has been exhausted and not sleeping much so I was scared she was still asleep at 11am. And when she picked up she was all groggy and I’m like “Hey, hey! Are you awake, wake up I need you to wake up for me! It’s important!” And she was all, “Huh? I’m...ok I’m awake.” Totally sounded half asleep still, lol poor Lock;; I say to her, “I have someone that wants to talk to you!”

So I hand my phone over to him and asdfghjkl; I wish I had a camera separate to also record it. He said in Junkrat’s voice, “Hey there, its Junkrat- how you feelin’ love?” And dude I freekin’ lost it! I legit had tears man!! I was freaking the freak out and I cannot imagine how Lock was taking it on the other end of that call-! I was just like, whoa my god he’s so dang nice man. Then he said some other stuff I cant recall because I was losing my shit trying to keep it together lol. I remember he did switch to his normal voice and was like “Hi its really Chris Parson, and I just I had to talk to you and tell you that I’m sorry you couldn't be here but I hope you’re well and you’re staying strong. Just try not to be stressed, live and laugh and laugh as much as you can because it’ll help okay?”

Dude, tearsssss I was wiping my face so much like, man. It had been a rough time for her the past few months and she just really needed something like this. Fuck he’s so great man! ;___; And after they were done talking he gave me the phone and I told her id call right back. And I thanked him so so soooo much again and then shook his hand again and said I’d be back later in the day for a last photo if that was okay. And he was like hell yeah and so I ran off to like clean my face hahaha. I couldn't stop laughing and smiling so stupidly the whole day. It’s been so long since I’ve had the pleasure of meeting someone so selfless and sweet like that. I was like, cloud 9 all day. I told anybody who crossed the booth to go talk to him, get autographs and photos and man I’m like, dude if I have to I’ll single-highhandedly fund you coming to this con I swear to god. I told all my artist buddies and they agreed that he was amazing and man I just- like, you ever just sit there and think “Shit. There are still nice people in the universe.”

Anyways so, the day flew by of course, I sadly wasn't able to make his panel a hour later as I was the only one at my booth- I do hope it went well tho! But before he left, I ran over when I had the chance to get my last photo, I wanted a fun one this time and not just a normal ‘two ppl awkwardly standing smiling photo’ like usual when ppl get pics with famous/celebs or what-have you hahaha, (plus that was our first pic I got ahahaha!) so we brain stormed for a bit when I told him I wanted a funny pic. We came up with standing under his name/sign and just gesturing like as if to say, ‘Who’s this asshole?’ He was such an amazing sport while he posed with me for it! WHOO!!! I got a couple nice ones but the last one that his helper took was my favorite because I just couldn't keep my own shrug/pose; I was just too happy and laughed! XD

So I’ll show ya’ll that one :P It meant a lot to me that he was so nice, I was also having a bit of a rough time, I’d had surgery earlier in the month, had to flee from hurricane Irma and right after coming home to no electricity, I got bronchitis and the flu while still recovering from the surgery lol. I know so many had it far worse and still do so I sucked it up but man, I super needed a good laugh at least! Which, I got  =D

Now he cant stop watching matches from online and sometimes sneaks into the pool room of the local gym to watch you practice. He ain’t much of a reader (pretty much only reads manga and thats it) but if you are reading like a classic novel, he would put his chin on your shoulder and read along silently. If you are going too fast he would whisper in your ear to turn back a page so he can finish the sentence he was reading.

🏉He doesn’t really like going to the gym, he mostly likes running outside and doing stretches outdoors or in his own home. But if you are going to the gym, and if he feels rather lonely that day, he will tag along with you. But mostly stay out of your way to not interrupt your daily routine. But, after a long workout at the gym, he just wants to lie down and relax. And listening to music with you is his favorite thing in the whole world. Just listening to playlists you two had created together, lying in bed, either holding hands or you being the big spoon (cause lets face it, he low-key loves being the small spoon), just lying together in silence he truly enjoys the most.

🏊After a long day of practice, he is pretty much out like a light when the night comes. He feels so exhausted that he needs his sleep. But since you like staying up late, he will try to stay up late for you, but after like, 1 am, he is out. But that is ok, cause you get to observe his sleeping face, and it is honestly the cutest thing you ever set your eyes on. He drools when he sleeps, so you can see a river of drool coming out from his mouth and making a stain on the pillow. When he is dreaming, you can see his nose scrunch up and his eyebrows furrow down. You can’t help but take a quick pic of it. He scolds you next morning to delete it. But do you ever delete it? Hehe, nope~

🏉He actually despises loud noises and bright lights. He absolutely can’t stand them! Being in the house situation he is in, he is so used to low dim lights or complete darkness, so bright lights literally give him a huge headache. As for loud noises, if like music is being played too loud, he will turn down the volume to a softer level, cause too loud of volume will also give him a major headache.

🏊Have no fear, cause if you forget your glasses, he will be your personal guide if you forget your glasses! He will link an arm around yours and guide you everywhere. If it looks like you are about to trip, he will immediately pull you into a tight hug before you fall.

🏉He likes how you are smart! So that means you can help him with his homework and help him study for upcoming tests. Lots of study dates!!

🏊He also loves traveling, I mean, he went to Australia for a good portion of his childhood for swimming. So one day, he would love to take you to Australia to show you around, like the couple that took care of him when he lived there, and the beaches he used to hang out at all the time (which make great for beach dates).

🏉He very competitive when it comes to rugby. Like, when you watch him play, you can tell he tries his hardest. But sometimes, you get a bit worried, especially how he acts towards the opposing team. If it is too much, you tell him not to act so rough with the other team. But he always tells you that he gets extra competitive especially when you are around so he can impress you! You tell him that his safety is much more important than being impressed (cue an blush boy).  

🏊He ain’t as competitive as he was in the past, but he still has his moments where if he is feeling, lets say angry for whatever reason, then he gets competitive, even outside the pool. Like if you two are playing video games, he will push you to the side or tickle your side to win. Or if it looks like you are eating faster than he is, then he will scarf his food down. You confront him about this, and all he says that he just feel the need to do so. You shake your head, and tell him that you will work with him to stop this habit of his.

Don’t worry about it, I admit that Stoki is pretty much a crack ship ^^;;

And, well, the redemption fic I mentioned helped me fall deeper into Stoki hell, but I shipped it even before that XD I think part of it is just because I think they could have a really interesting dynamic- they’re just so different, complete opposites. Steve would confuse Loki so much tbh

Also, I just think that Steve (or at least, post-CW Steve) might be one of the avengers most willing to at least try to understand Loki. Partly because Steve’s just a nice guy, and then because of his relationship with Bucky- ‘cause Steve-Bucky and Thor-Loki are really, really similar and I think Steve would realize that.

And then like I said, Steve cares a lot about other people. If Thor ever told him about everything that happened between him and Loki Steve probably wouldn’t have too much difficulty in starting to see Loki as a human(?) being instead of some one-dimensional fairy tale villain.

Lastly, I feel like Steve is just the best person to handle Loki’s issues. He may not be able to personally relate to a lot of it (Tony, Bruce, maybe Natasha would be better for that) but he can take a step back and think rationally about the situation, help convince Loki that just because the rest of the world sees him as a monster, doesn’t mean he has to be one.

There’s always the book Death Note: Another Note (The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases)- it’s a prequel to the Death Note manga/anime with L chasing a murderer known as Beyond Birthday (…no comment on that alias). It also shows how he met Naomi Misora which is awesome if you like Naomi (I did, and kinda screamed when Light kiled her))

Eh, I think I’m one of the few people who doesn’t mind it being set in America because what’s the point of making an American adaptation if it’s going to be set in Japan anyway? I also don’t really have a problem with 'white-washing’ for this same reason (though I am disappointed because being Japanese-American would have added an interesting layer to Light’s character; despite fighting for justice, in canon, LIght’s never actually been victimized or discriminated against. He’s a handsome, intelligent young man who appears to be cisgender and heterosexual (even if it’s never confirmed) and is Japanese, just like everyone else around him. Japanese-American Light, on the other hand, would have really experienced how the 'rotten’ world could hurt people, so his acts as Kira might have more personal emotion in them)…like, it’s possible to cast a white actor as Light without it being white-washing, and since they changed the entire setting I think it’s fine to change other things too. Just, I’m cool with anything as long as they portrayed Light’s character properly…BUT THEY DIDN’T SO

I’m really just disappointed that they botched the characters and all the themes of the original Death Note story so badly. Sure, change the setting, change the circumstances, change the plot, changehe designs, but why did you have to take Death Note’s philosophy away?

But, because I might have been a bit too mean:

I will say that the movie LOOKS really good. The visuals are great. The soundtrack seems decent too. Also, though Ryuk’s motivations/role also weren’t done very well, Ryuk’s actor did an amazing job…and while I’m not happy with how L was portrayed in this movie, I do think that the actor they cast for him could have been a good L if not for the bad writing.

Well…from what I know, Light Turner ends up in a hospital at the end of the movie with his One True Love Mia(Misa) dead, so nah. The Keikaku failed.

(which just proves that Light Turner really is nothing like Light Yagami, because Light Yagami’s keikakus never fail.

HOW my mom is also being INCREDIBLY helpful by basically telling me to ‘get over it’ like i can just snap my fingers and tell myself ‘oh yeah this is only in my head’ and it’ll all pass over. cause that’s how it works.  so is my sister by always laughing at me

yep, school started and i am suffering. ive already gone through 4 tests and a bunch of oral quizzes. yay. thanks teachers for totally not putting horrible pressure on us from the start.  i stg, one of my most common thoughts these days is ‘see, this is exactly why i have a psychosomatic sickness.’ they’re sending my to a psychologist to see if i can let everything out and maybe get some advice on how to handle things better. i will laugh my ass off if i get diagnosed with a mental disorder. that’d be absolutely hilarious (I am in no way trying to make fun of people with a mental disorder, I’m just saying I honestly wouldn’t even be surprised if they said something like Burnout Syndrome or Depression (im not even joking when I say that I’ve been sleeping pretty much all afternoon + night these days, cry way too often, feel no motivation for anything, feel worthless, no apetite and also occasional suicidal thoughts which is oh so fun (ok but in my defence, the thoughts are really rare, probably caused by the fact that I feel nauseous like 90% of the time, and I would never ever do it, mostly because some people would miss me (I hope). there are moments when I go ‘wouldn’t it be easier to disappear?’ tho))

Anniversary (Hongbin Scenario)

It was only a day before your anniversary which you had been planning out for months. Hongbin was well aware of your plans seeing as you lived on and off at his apartment meaning he got to hear all the details you had been planning for the special day firsthand. Today wasn’t as you hoped it would be, which you thought would be you rambling about how excited you were for tomorrow while Hongbin smiled and laughed at you being an excited mess. Due to Hongbin’s busy schedule you were left alone at home so you had decided to stay over at Wonshik’s apartment. You knew how much your boyfriend despised you hanging out with his friends without his presence which had time and time again caused arguments between the two of you. Going against your instinct telling you shouldn’t, you went along with hanging out at Wonshik’s since he did offer anyway. You and Wonshik didn’t do much. Your day consisted of you guys lounging on the sofa watching movies and playing with his puppy, Butt. 5 movies later and it was past midnight and Wonshik had fallen asleep. As you were laying on the couch with Butt in your arms, you glanced at your phone as you saw the screen light up notifying you got a missed call. It was only until you picked it up that you realized 1 missed call was actually over 10 missed calls. “Shit” you cursed as you looked at your unread text messages from Hongbin.

“Whyy whats going on?” he groggily whined still half asleep.

“It’s almost 1 AM I need to get back to Hongbin’s. He’s been calling and texting me like crazy.”

He managed to pull himself up from his comfortable resting position to reach for his phone which had been knocked to the floor during his sleep. He squinted his tired eyes to see several unread texts from Hongbin as well.

'I cant get a hold of (Y/N)’

'Have you talked to her today by any chance?’

'Now you wont answer either that’s great’

“Shit” you heard Wonshik muffle under his breath. You and Wonshik called Hongbin at the same time but Wonshik got through to him first.

“Hong- Hongb- would you just LIST- HONGBIN–Yes she’s at my place–she’s fine–we just lost track of-” You listened to Wonshik’s responses while clenching your phone tight in both your hands. “Okay-” Wonshik put his phone down after he was hung up on.

Wonshik sensed your worry, “He said he’s on his way here right now.”

“He was mad wasn’t he?”

He didn’t even have to answer your question because you knew by the look of his face. You sat back down on the couch with your hands in your hair, awaiting the trouble to come.

You and Wonshik’s silence was interrupted by the sound of the doorbell ringing. Wonshik’s hand left your back as he assured you everything would be alright, and got up to answer the door. As he opened it, Hongbin pushed his way past him to get inside as you stood up from the couch in shock.

“(Y/N) what the hell?!” Hongbin screamed at you.

“Hongbin keep it down. It’s late.” Wonshik lightly grabbed Hongbin’s shoulder in an attempt to calm him down but he pushed it off. You watched as Hongbin began to approach you, anger written all over his face.

“I called you so many times!”

“I know and I had my phone on silent and we were watching movies-” you managed to get out through your voice shaking.

“You could have at least texted me you were at Wonshik’s. You didn’t even THINK to tell me so I wouldn’t be freaking out wondering where the hell you were.”

“Well I didn’t think I was going to be staying out this late. PLUS I didn’t THINK I needed to tell you about every single plan of my day.”

Both of your voices rose at each other as you became offended by the fact that Hongbin thought he had control of what you needed to run by him first. Wonshik felt so helpless in this situation. All he could do was watch as the two of you shouted at each other, both obviously too busy shouting at the other’s throat to pay attention to anything or anyone else.

“I’ve told you this so many fucking times.”

“I am grown enough to go to places and see people on my own Hongbin,” you rolled your eyes at his statement. “I’ve told you THIS so many fucking times.”

“Well you can tell me again as I take you home,” Hongbin sassily replied.

He grabbed your hand and turned around in attempt to leave the apartment but you wrestled it out his grip.

“Forget it. I’m not going back to your apartment to have this same argument again. I’m staying here.”

He scoffed, “You’re definitely not. Come on (Y/N).”

“Just go home, Hongbin.”

You sat back down on the sofa. Wonshik, who had been mute for the past 10 minutes of the argument finally spoke.

“Hongbin, maybe it would be best if you left and cooled down.”

“Pfft. You already stole my girlfriend for the whole day, making me worried sick. Go ahead and have her for the rest of the night as well why don’t you. At least I know now that she’s in good hands.”

“Hongbin, please.”

You and Wonshik watched as he stormed out the apartment. You managed to hold back your tears as Hongbin shouted at you but as soon as you heard the door slam, you couldn’t hold them in anymore.

“I’m such an idiot” you stammered in between your sobs.

“You’re not. And you didn’t do anything wrong.” Wonshik reassured you while he sat beside you rubbing your back. “He had no right to shout at you like that. I’m sorry I didn’t say or do anything to stop him.”

“You didn’t have to.”

“No, I should have. He doesn’t realize what a great, beautiful girl he has to be treating like this.”

At this moment, Wonshik had stopped rubbing your back as his focus turned to your face. He tilted your chin up making you look at him and wiped your tears with his thumb. His soft hand found its way onto your shoulder as he smiled at you warmly. You appreciated Wonshik’s kindness, but at the same time, all you could think of in this moment was Hongbin’s hands wiping your tears away and him telling you how much he loves you.

“Thank you, Wonshik.” You gave him a warm hug which he reciprocated. “I’m gonna go see him. I hate the thought of us fighting just a while before our anniversary. It shouldn’t be like this.”

“Are you sure? I don’t want you to go out this late. You can stay here and talk to him in the morning.”

“You’re gonna be like this too? I can manage myself,” you chuckled lightly.

“Okay but let me know when you get to his place.”

You nodded and gave him a hug once again as you let yourself out the apartment. This wasn’t the first time you had traveled out at night so you had no worries walking to the bus stop. You checked the time on your phone, it was nearly 3 AM. You face palmed as you remembered buses stopped running after 12 AM. The bus stop you walked to was already miles away from Wonshik’s apartment so you figured you would get a taxi instead rather than walk back to Wonshik’s. You were determined to set things right with Hongbin. It was your anniversary after all. You sat on a nearby bench admiring the pics of you and Hongbin on your phone which made you want to get to his place sooner and be in his arms. You looked up as you saw a tinted car which was clearly not a taxi pull up in front of you from your peripheral view. The driver turned off his engine and got out the car which frightened you.

“What are you doing out here all alone in the middle of the night?” the man said as he walked around from the drivers side to you, the tone of his voice layered with concern.

“Hongbin?”

His silhouette was so familiar even in just the dim street lamp light. The huge lump in your throat decompressed as he embraced you. It was when you pulled away that you saw his eyes were puffy. He had been crying.

“I’m so sorry (Y/N).” His voice was so soft and sincere. “It was the moment I walked out that door that I knew I fucked up. I was just so worried. You didn’t answer or call or text I just-”

“Which is why I don’t blame you for getting upset. I just wish you would trust me more. We’ve been together for a year and you don’t trust me enough to go out on my own?”

“I do trust you. I really do. But I would be lying if I said I don’t mind you hanging out with my guy friends.”

“Your friends are really hot I know what you mean,” you teased which made Hongbin furrow his eyebrows. “I’M KIDDING.”

You sensed you made Hongbin a bit uncomfortable with your comment so you quickly changed the subject.

I am a 19 year old male university student in Ontario Canada. I live at home in the summer and only one hour from home during the school year for my studies. I would like to purchase my own car for everyday driving. However, I know that I would not be able to afford the ridiculous insurance there is for a male driver that is under 25 and listed as the primary driver. I have heard of ways to get around this, such as getting listed as a secondary driver and having my dad as the primary driver and just me as a temporary driver. Doing this is kind of lying, as I would be having the car all the time in the school year and then bring it home with me when I work at home. I don't think it would matter though, I doubt it is risky that if I did need a claim they would investigate how much I had the car... But what my dad seems to think is that he can only have a certain amount of cars listed as him as primary. My mom and dad live together and together own a 1994 Intrepid, 2003 Cadillac CTS and a 1988 Corvette (that is insured for only 5 months a year, stored in the winter). I am only insured as a temporary driver on the Intrepid as it is too expensive for anything else. I also have a 21 year old sister who is in the same situation (lives at home for 4 months a year) but she has just bought her own car and is her own primary driver. So I don't think that should affect me at all, it is cheap enough for a female to get primary insurance at this age. So now I want to buy a sports car. I am 100% sure I want to buy a car that is not common, its just something I am stubborn about and so I know that insurance will be more this way. Specifically I was looking at an Audi tt, BMW 300 series, Mitsubishi Eclipse or a Mustang... I also found a great deal on a '99 Porsche Boxster that a seller has that is way underpriced and I'd love to buy it (first choice). My question is, can I claim that my dad is really the owner of the Porsche (or other car) and say that I am a temporary driver, and then have me drive it all the time and take it back and forth to school, etc, knowing my parents together already have 2 vehicles and 1 summer vehicle. I would take myself off of the temporary insurance on the Intrepid. My dad seems to think that an insurance company will not allow them to be primary drivers on 3 vehicles and 1 summer vehicle while having dependant children... But what if I did the insurance quotes online and got approved? I already did get quotes before, and I don't think I ran into any problems. But I want to be covered and in case I did need to make a claim, this method won't come back to bite me in the butt. What is anyone's take on this? Like I said, I cannot afford to pay the insurance on the car as a primary driver at this point, but paying for the car itself won't be a problem. It was due one day & I didn't get paid for another 2 days. So I called up my agent & explained the situation & asked if my policy had a grace period? They put me on hold to check. They came back on the telephone & said yes I had 7 days from the date it was due. They said I would be fine cause I got paid 2 days later. Well I go back up there a couple of days later to make my payment. Mind you, I'm still well w/in the grace period. The computer would not take my payment. The agent made a call, then spoke to someone, & then informed me my insurance was dropped for lack of payment. I was like whoa I was told I had a full week grace period She said to me Well, when you called you didn't inform us that you had your insurance drafted from your debit card. I was like A) Y'all didn't ask when I called & B) How in the world would I know to tell you that? Especially since y'all never asked. They basically said Oh well. She did make it clear that if I had not had auto drafting that the grace period would still stand. Maybe I'm clueless but I never had an incident where I was ever late on my car insurance. Now my DL is suspended. I don't know if this place gets a kick back by starting over my insurance w/a whole new policy. Willow and I were friendly in Solomon Islands. Hopefully this puts me in a good spot. OKAY.  Hello.  I'm here to confess and such for the round since I haven't just yet.  I'm feeling pretty okay on my tribe so far?  I know Regan from previous experiences and we're friends and I think that Jaiden knows he isn't super popular so he'll rely on me to kind of keep him safe?  I"m talking with Will a lot and I enjoy him so I'm glad to have him here.  The only person I'm not feeling really great about is Zakariah so far?  I'm not sure how close he is with other people, so I have to wary about just throwing his name out.  But, if I had to choose someone to be at the bottom of the totem pole on our tribe.. It'd be him.  He's not super active.  I can also see Jaiden being a bit of a flop and being first to die, so I'm just going to kind of figure out where people STAND here right now and figure it out later.  Because I don't imagine us being on these tribes of five for too long, so I just need to make sure that I do my best to survive here while I still can. Of course it would be One World this season. I see alot of familiar names and faces and I'm already thrilled to start this game, until I see Regan. Is it possible to hate a bitch because of how negatively she rubs people upon meeting them? Wait, hold that thought. Yeah. Its very possible. 

Its not even the end of Day 2, and already this bitch is asking for me to rip her head off. Like I don't give a flying fuck. Don't slander my name when you don't know me either. Fuck. Seriously, don't go preaching shit you won't practice. Regan's asking for a verbal beatdown, in English and in Spanish.
