HEADCANONS: BILL WEASLEY

Tall. So damn tall. By the time he stops growing, he has reached 6'5, and he gleefully lords it over his younger siblings for years, until Ron manages to match his exact height, not a millimetre here or there. He sulks about it for a few days before inviting Ron to join him in taking the piss out of their siblings.

Wears his hair long specifically to annoy Molly. It was simply because he was so caught up in OWL studies that he forgot to cut it, but then Molly saw him with his hair that reached the base of his neck and freaked. He deliberately kept his hair long from then on, and it kind of grew on him by 7th year.

Speaking of hair, he has fabulous hair. Absolutely gorgeous. Stunning. It's pin straight like Arthur's, unlike Charlie who got Molly's tightly wound curls. He keeps it till mid back and braids it frequently. Bill And Ginny Days™ compulsorily have at least one braiding session.

THIS BOI IS BI! He is very bi and his type is ✨Badass Motherfucker✨ as evidenced by him falling for Fleur like look at her. Enough said.

Quidditch fiend, like all the other Weasleys, and was on the team from 2nd year all the way up to the end of 6th year as Chaser. Dropped Quidditch in 7th year, because being Head Boy and being a Quidditch player while studying for NEWT exams would have been too much for him and he knew it.

Got his ear pierced in 5th year from his best friend after winning a Quidditch match. He was half drunk, and when he woke up the next day he freaked the fUCK out. He managed to hide the piercing from Molly for a record breaking eight months, and the shouting match that happened in the summer before his 6th year was the worst argument he ever had with her.

Has Eldest Daughter Syndrome™. He resents Molly a little, because he never entirely got to be a child. He always had to be the Responsible Older Sibling, even as young as 3 years old. He loves his mother, but living under the same roof as her was suffocating, for him. He said as much to Arthur in a very long conversation, and they both decided with much difficulty that Bill wouldn't be returning home after 7th year— he would immediately leave for Egypt.

In the first year of his stay in Egypt he decided to say "fuck it" and got a tattoo. It's on his shoulder, a falcon in greyscale that spreads down over his bicep and out on his shoulder blade. Molly does not find out about it until the end of HBP when he gets mauled by Greyback, and he does not tell her anything about it, claiming that he is "an adult and can get a tattoo if I want to Mum, back off."

N E R D. Such a huge nerd but people look at his piercings, long hair, muscles and his whole "90s rockstar" vibe and immediately assume he is the "popular jock" type, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. My man freaks out over magical history, ancient runes and languages, transfiguration and arithmancy. A total nerd, I tell you, and scary smart. He got 12 Outstanding OWLs and 8 Outstanding NEWTs, and reduced Molly to incoherent happy crying both times.

The Hat offered him Slytherin, and he seriously considered the option for a good few minutes. "You have a lot of ambition," the Hat told him to his pleasure, "and a thirst to find your true calling." At the age of eleven, he was already sick of being "just one of the Weasleys" and wanted to step out of his parents' shade and figure himself out. In the end, the Hat sorted him in Gryffindor, but many times he has wondered what life would have been like if he ever sorted Slytherin.

Knows a lot of dances. Arthur and Molly are both fabulous dancers, and a few of his favourite childhood memories begin with his parents teaching him how to move his hips and slide his feet and enjoy the music. He's great at waltzing, knows the foxtrot and swing dance, and learnt paso doble and the tango in the seven years he spent in Egypt.

Listens to a lot of muggle rock music. All the cool bands like AC/DC, Oasis, Nirvana, Green Day, and all of those, plus a few obscure bands that he decided he liked the sound of. He's also big on different types of classical music, courtesy of his love for dance.

His favourite sibling is Charlie. Don't get him wrong, he loves all his siblings, but Charlie has a special place in his heart because they're both close in age and understand each other better than anyone else. Bill and Charlie are almost like Fred and George, a bit: one look and they know everything the other is thinking. Doesn't have a least favourite sibling, but seriously considered Percy for the role during OoTP.

Loves learning languages. The languages he is fluent in are English, Gaelic, Welsh, Old Norse and Icelandic, Latin, Ancient Greek, Spanish, Arabic (Egyptian and Hassaniya dialects), and Persian.

Has a soft spot for Ginny, like every other Weasley. That's his baby sister who can put him on his back in less than 0.2 seconds and he adores her.

Crowley is my favourite character. Because he’s so cool, the way Crowley is so confident in everything he does. Even though he’s a demon he has the softest heart for Aziraphale and loves with all his heart. Also, his fashion sense like how can one demon look so fabulous all the time??? In every era??? AMAZING!! Plus Crowley is all around adorable

His tiddies are defined along with his abs but he’s on the leaner side since he doesn’t like to bulk up too much. It doesn’t fit his aesthetic! He does have hair on his chest and he doesn’t mind it at all, his partners always think it’s cute. He has bright pink nips. 8 out of 10 for face smothering.

He has a pretty lean body and he tends to show his tiddies because he gets hot often. He’s got a light tan and doesn’t grow much hair on his chest. His nips are cute and light pink. 8 out of 10 for face smothering.

We were lucky to see tiddies in all its glory, usually we just get to see his cleavage from his boob window! He doesn’t like hair on his chest so he makes sure to keep himself groomed. He burns easily so he has pretty pale tiddies and that’s not by choice! His nips are pink and one of them are pierced. 10 out of 10 for face smothering😆

Ah to be the handsome sibling is always a plus when he’s a sweetheart too! Since he’s a marine, he has to be physically fit all the time and this resulted in him having amazing tiddies for us to enjoy! He’s pretty pale and doesn’t like being out in the sun because he burns too easily so his tiddies never see the light of day! His nips are pale pink and he does have light hair between his tiddies. 9 out of 10 for face smothering.

Oh this pink haired baby daddy! How I wish he had more screen time! His tiddies are firm and well defined because he works out all the time and does karate to keep fit! He has tattoos that go down his arms and legs, he loves the look and feel of it. When he was younger, he has amazing pale tiddies with pierced nips. He’s not a hairy guy so they were always smooth and he liked it that way. He had a well defined body that worked well for his height. 9 out of 10 for face smothering.

Under those fabulous suits is a lean but defined body that only our favorite sexy mayor could have! He has dark pink nips and he’s actually pretty hairy. He does have chest tattoos around his tiddies that join to his shoulders and even down his abs to his hips. He’s very particular about his body so he makes sure to do lots of chest exercises so that he can maintain his perfect tiddy size and have the body of a God! He isn’t a hairy guy so his chest is smooth to the touch and he loves to flex his chest so that it feels strong. His nips are dark pink. 100 out of 10 for face smothering! (Omg lemme motorboat you, Gild😭😭😭)

The most special part of Fizzbin's Fabulous Cabin is undoubtedly the personalized bedrooms for each party member. I got to design them with each character's preferred colors and style in mind, and it was a lot of fun!

Monograms

I thought it would be nice to have signs on the bedroom doors, so I reached out to @calsabatini to design monograms for all the party members. He knocked it out of the park!! The bedrooms would not be the same without these gorgeous signs!

Valmont

Our warlock Valmont was the first to see his room. Since he's a sailor, I went for a "captain's cabin" vibe with lots of nautical decor, plus a green feature wall to represent his swampy homeland. The golden scales on the shelf are a nod to Valmont's mercantile heritage (he's also the manager of all the party's money). It's all very fancy and expensive-looking.

Ezhno

Ezhno's (the rogue/artificer) took a while to put together, because there were so many options for clutter on and around the desk and I had to make it all fit coherently. That's actually a wooden desk layered on top of a metal one! For the aesthetic I settled on Western-esque, with dark wood everywhere and some purple crystals scattered around to reflect his goggles.

Ezhno's reaction to seeing this room was utterly shocking: he gave Fizzbin a hug!

It may look like Fizzbin made her own the biggest room, but that's actually just a gnome-sized bed! (I've never understood why resizing objects was a core feature of the Sims 4 - before even moveobjects - but it can definitely be fun.) All the cutesy florals and pastel colors of the rest of the house are turned up a notch in here. The bard has granted herself a glass dome ceiling and a proudly mounted feather collection!

Yakone

Yakone the druid also gets an octagonal glass-roofed room, in her favorite cheery yellow. The aesthetic was tricky to balance between all the patterns (I had to use that stripy wallpaper because it evokes her tattoos), the "Southern comfort" vibes, and the Realm of Magic furnishings that would tie it to the rest of the house. But the most important feature to make Yakone happy was the stuffed animals! And indeed, she loved them!

Vesper

The fifth bedroom is for NPC party members or guests, although our current NPC companion Eradon is sharing a room with Valmont because they're canoodling dating. So for now I've left the room as I had it for Vesper, our paladin friend. She worships Selûne, hence the moon stuff, and her favorite color is blue, although I did put some orange cushions on the sofa to reflect her hair color.

There are a lot of other NPCs I might redecorate this space for, and you can be sure I'll post an update if I do!

I love your work! Do you happen to have any tips for artists looking to get into digital art using procreate?

Sure! I absolutely love using procreate. For whatever reason it’s considered a lowbrow art tool by major studios and companies??? But I can do pretty much anything I’d want to do in Photoshop in Procreate at a fraction of the cost. Plus working on an iPad means portability— If I want to draw in the car, on a plane, in a cafe, etc. I totally can. Glad to see more people are getting into using it! 💖 Alright, onto some tips.

The best way I can think to give tips is leading by example and offering points of reference through my own work and process. If you have follow up questions or are looking for something specific definitely send them my way. ✨😊✨

1. Know Yourself; Know Your Art Style

Whether you’re a long time digital artist or a traditional artist porting over to the digital medium it’s very important to know your work, your strengths, and your personal style. For example, I was very much a traditional artist who delved into digital artwork to keep up with career demands. For a LONG time there was stylistic dissonance between how I drew on paper and how I drew on SAI (the desktop paint tool where I got my start) because what I was subconsciously doing was keeping my style to myself traditionally and just mimicking the artwork I saw online when trying to make digital art.

Here are two pieces I made back in 2018, one traditional and one digital. They're both nice pieces, but if someone was asked which one was definitively one of my pieces they're much more likely to say the traditional piece because it's consistent with my style: limited colors, lineart heavy, etc. I kept trying to divorce from my traditional style when what I should have been doing was taking the extra time to learn how to do what I could already do traditionally in a digital program.

It's especially important to know your style and practice maintaining it regardless of media because the next tip is

2. Invest Time In Watching Others

In nearly every hobby, profession, skill, or interest one of the best ways to hone your craft is to see how other people do it. Hozier said in a recent interview when he's not writing or performing his music he's listening to someone else's music. It's very important to our ability to learn to see how a task can be done to help influence how we ultimately do it. I of course do not mean try to copy someone else's work, which was something I had to learn the hard way when I was starting out in digital art. One of the things I frequently did early on was tried to copy someone's painting technique as closely as I could which resulted in some less-than-inspiring artwork that didn't look much like my usual body of work.

Which is again, something that is easily prevented by just knowing your style.

Some places I go when looking to see how other people draw are YouTube, Tiktok, Artbooks, and Pinterest. Youtube and Tiktok are fabulous sharing platforms usually dealing in quick media where a single search for "procreate" or "speedpaint" yields THOUSANDS of results. Artbooks require a little more financial dedication, but they're great visual references that frequently come with some kind of tutorial in them. Some in my personal collection are Gothic Lolita Punk, Japanese Comickers, and The Complete Masters of The Poster. And Pinterest is frequently painted as a digital piracy war zone, but searching "art tutorial" or "digital art techniques" yields lots and lots of valuable information.

I've been professionally illustrating since 2017 and I STILL go back to these points of reference to see how other people are drawing, painting, etc. Who knows? I may learn something new that takes my art one step further.

3. Explore Brushes!

There are literally Tens of Thousands of brushes that are available all across the internet and I highly recommend taking the time to search google for packs of them. For the first year or so of working with procreate I ONLY used the default brushes that came with the program and while the art was decent I definitely could have used more experimentation to make more cohesive pieces.

As of right now I use a Frankenstein pack of lining and painting brushes that are a mess of brushes I made myself, brushes I got in art packs I found on itch.io or etsy, and some default brushes I've heavily modified to match my style.

I highly recommend playing with brush settings, searching for new brushes, and trying literally every brush you come across to see if you can find a use for it.

I've mentioned it several times throughout but it deserves its own bullet point, so my final tip is

4. Don't Ever Be Afraid To Google It

No artist knows everything. No one who claims to be an expert on Procreate knows absolutely every function, every application, and every trick all on their own--- but between all of us you can find practically anything just by googling it.

I have found super specific pattern brushes, youtube tutorials for pattern creation, configurations for pressure sensitivity, ideas for color palette building, templates for sticker making-- whenever I personally can't figure out someone else likely knows what to do. That's what community is all about!

You are not beholden only to your personal knowledge, so remember google is your friend!

Joseph's favorite thing to do when he was small was wrapping himself around his uncle and taking a nap. He was just so warm and cozy it was basically just asking for cuddles. And when Speeds wasn't around, you could usually find Joseph sprawled out in front of the fireplace or by an open window in the sun

His bed honestly looked more like a nest than anything else. Pillows for a foundation, blankets to build it up and add warmth, down feathers for extra fluff, a couple of his more important shiny trinkets, and of course as close to the fireplace as possible without risking anything burning

he'd also get into EVERYTHING. Erina and Speedwagon had to put extra locks on the vents because if they didn't Joseph would figure out how to get in them and he WOULD get stuck

also, I'd imagine shedding/molting was not fun. All the bits of feathers and scales clashing with each other and coming off, everything feels itchy and tight and it really stresses him out. At the very least when it's finally over he feels infinitely better and looks absolutly ✨ fabulous ✨

and for Jotaro just. Water DogTM

He and Holly make regular trips to small hidden lakes and the ocean so they can swim without worrying about being seen. They've been doing it ever since he was a little kid and it's one of the few times Jotaro isn't afraid of his beast form. He can hold his breath for a crazy long time too, partially from Biology but also from practice since he was little

Jotaro also sheds like crazy. There are bits of fur and little scales all over his room. He also has to deal with some of the same thermoregulatory issues Joseph had, and noticeably gets a lot more sluggish in the winter. Holly has a little heat lamp corner set up in his room plus an electric blanket for when he needs it <3

also this is. Completely random and fully unrelated, but just for the absolute hilarity and chaos of it, what if Jotaro's both a crocodile and an alligator. Like, he has a mixed bag of the traits they don't have in common and for years they couldn't figure out which one was

Werebeast Joestars Au- they have big, monstrous forms, possibly with minimal control over them, drawing a narrative parallel between the villains who reject humanity, who choose not to care for others, and the Joestars, whose monstrous forms don't give them a choice.

Fun narrative parallels between Dio becoming a monster on purpose, and Jotaro and Jonathan using the monstrous traits they were born with and trying to turn them towards good.

Parallels between Diavalo and Giorno, both marked as monstrous and other from the moment of their birth but deciding differently what to do about it.

Parallels between Joseph and the Pillarmen, inhuman beings who don't care about what happens to humanity on their path to power, and one that defends humanity ferociously.

Parallels between Josuke and Kira, an ordinary man killing for his own pleasure versus a monster doing everything he can to protect and heal

Parallels between Jolyne and Pucci, the priest and the monster, the holy and the unholy.

(plus BIG SCARY FRIGHTENING MONSTER FORMS and BODY-HORROR LADEN TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCES are a blast to write)

and what if for fun, the control aspect of the werebeast comes entirely from how accepting the Joestar in question is of it. Like, they can't try and lock it away because when it does come out it will run completely rampant. However, they can't just let it run wild and free without inhibition because that will just lead to the same thing as before, just with less steps

there needs to be a mid ground. They need to guide that part of themselves, gently but still firm. They need to find a middle ground, and while it won't give them complete control, the likelihood of them completely loosing it while transformed is severely reduced

(and for even more fun, what if they can technically shift when they want. Sure, every full moon or so they'll have a forced transformation where they'll run the risk of loosing themselves, but what if when they get more comfortable with it, they can control it, to a certain extent)

Good morning santa!! I’m feeling much better today than yesterday booster-wise! The ending of Coco also makes me cry, but so do the DQ French fries bc they’re SO GOOD you have to try them next chance you get I swear santa.

Okay, so here’s my thing about the supernatural. I love consuming media about supernatural things, but for the most part I believe in ghosts/spirits and aliens and that’s about it. I just can’t bring myself to believe that other things like werewolves and vampires exist. Although, with how little of the ocean has been explored, it’s still entirely possible that mermaids could exist, so the jury’s out on that one. I just like to consider myself a critical thinker when it comes to these, I’m hesitant to believe but I definitely can be swayed.

My hometown didn’t really have any local legends that I knew of. Honestly, Santa, I had a pretty sheltered youth. There was this abandoned psych ward near our closest city that people would sneak into sometimes to take pictures and smoke weed. I never went (bc I’m a lil bitch and that sounds scary) but friends of mine have gone and said it freaked them out.

Ooooh okay so full disclosure I’ve never crossed an ocean so there are lots of places I haven’t been to that I’d love to see. First and foremost, one day I’d love to do just a grand tour of Italy, because there are so many cities I wanna see; Florence, Tuscany, Rome, Venice, Naples, all of Sicily, etc. I would also love to see Greece, I remember falling in love with it after watching Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants when I was younger. I’d also like to see France, but probably not Paris. I’d want to go to Nice and Toulouse and Bordeaux and Cannes. After spending years studying French and France, I’ve come to the realization that Paris is really only exciting if you’re rich or super interested in history, other than that you might as well check out another city. I’d also really love to see Japan one day, there’s this guy I watch on YouTube who lives in Japan and basically goes to the convenience stores and vending machines and assembles and tries instant food and I know this is a strange thing to want to try but it all looks so good and it’s so cheap I want to try the snacks and instant noodles!!! (Literally all I was able to stomach yesterday was ramen noodles so there may be a bias at play here). Also, I’ve always wanted to see Ireland. I have family lineage in Ireland (along with Italy) and I think it would be really cool to reconnect with that, plus Ireland looks beautiful nature-wise.

My favorite flower bouquet-wise has always been roses with baby’s breath. Preferably red, but just any roses. I know that’s kind of basic, but I’ve always felt like a bouquet of roses really truly symbolizes a special occasion. Non-bouquet wise, my mom and I were growing some hibiscus plants on the balcony of her old apartment during quarantine and I really liked how quickly they could turn over and start growing a new flower bud, so that even though they only bloomed for a few days, there was always at least a few in bloom. It was a very rewarding flower to take care of.

I have two small black ink tattoos- the first being a cross on my back between the back of my neck and the middle of my shoulderblades. I got it just a few weeks after I turned 18 and I had been thinking about it for years- my mom only agreed because of the easily-hideable placement and the fact that it’s a cross. The thing is, because of the so-easy-to-hide placement, I would fully forget I had it and so would people around me unless I happened to have my hair up and be wearing a shirt that has a low back. So, around this time last year I believe, I got another tattoo on my right wrist that reads “this too shall pass” in typewriter font, lengthwise. I wanted to get this tattoo because I had a realization mid-quarantine that what my mom had been telling me for years about having visible tattoos and getting a job wouldn’t apply to me because I’m going into the entertainment field. This phrase has also always been an important mantra for me— in bad times, it’s a reminder that even though something feels like it’ll last forever, it won’t. Alternately, in good times, it’s a reminder to live in the moment because time is fleeting. Also, I have my earlobes pierced but that’s it, I have a topical nickel allergy and nickel is the main ingredient in most cheap jewelry, so I rarely even wear earrings to begin with. For that reason, I don’t really have any motivation to get a new piercing. I was looking into a daith piercing for a minute last year until I realized I wouldn’t be able to wear earbuds. So yeah, just the two tats and normal piercings for me!
