Starstruck/Junicrane ramble below the cut because......more content for them in the fandom is always good,,,,

So part of the reason I started shipping them (or at least relating them to one another in my head) is because of a huge misconception I had with what was going on in the events of ieytd 2 (at least when I first got seriously into it)

Basically, in ieytd 2, all of the heads of state were captured so Juniper could impersonate them, and basically I assumed the same must have happened to Reggie despite nothing in canon backing that up? Y'know since JJ impersonates him, and it never occurred to me all he'd need was a voice since Reggie is almost entirely on a voice to ear basis with Phoenix (lmao).

And despite it not being a thing, I still think it would be an interesting scene between them?? Because when I would (and still) sit and imagine it, I always think of JJ going to see Reggie in person? Maybe to gloat, at least a little, or maybe to gauge his voice in person, and part of the reason the impression is off is because Reggie was having absolutely none of it (and not because it was based on a voicemail).

But alternatively, all those thoughts and feelings on Reggie's POV? Crazy. Because heres this guy, who he's likely idolised for years, working for the company he's spent forever trying to thwart. That's a kind of personal betrayal that's hard to communicate, since it's such an intense flip of the narrative for Reggie in such a short amount of time. There's still the remains of a celebrity crush there, because it's hard to get rid of feelings like that quickly, and definitely the admiration for his works, but now there's these hateful feelings because he's doing evil shit now. How do you cope with that? It's so. Intriguing to me.
