I think with certain players people put them on a pedestal. it’s easy to forget that these are just average men in their early twenties that are living their best lives. tbh I think idols are generally more interesting in a non relationship situation type of thing whereas most ppl of their fans generally want to date an idol bc of the idols status and popularity without realising the consequences of generally shit it will still be because of peoples overreactions to such news of idols dating.

whenever ppl compliment or stan an idol they rarely comment on the idols personality / aura or energy that they bring to the group its alwahs whats on tne outside than on the inside and i think thats why many younger audiences tend to treat idols like their personal relationship. everyone does it at some point as well like it reminds me of times in schools where the girls would fawn over fairly average guys who had shittier personalities and i was like whats the deal with them? and they often had more boy trouble in their "relationships"

I guess idols are looked at more so as perfectionists or people with no real flaws in their name or image. so when they date it causes a huge uproar. honestly sans fs needs some protective gear and camoflauge. I said this to someone else but if i were jks fs I would soak up all the moments of privacy that they had and tried to enjoy the quieter aspects of their life cause u know the second they meet their fs all hell going to break loose online.

I honestly prefer someone with flaws because to me it shows they are more human. Looking good is part of the job of being an idol, obviously, but it does make me sad to see that thats all some fans think about, without even caring what the person is actually like. like pls get out of your bubble and touch some grass. no, not every idol is perfect but that doesn't mean just disregarding them at all and just going for looks. people need to set boundaries for themselves and get back down to earth.
