Mother and Father moments.
Aka more mommy reader x Arlecchino! This time with comfort!
Perhaps you sometimes forget your husband is a harbinger. She’s just so kind to the chikdren at times. Your presence has helped her become more patient and gentle with them. You had been with her for awhile now. Lynette and Lyney had grown up into full on adults, going on missions leaving you to worry. But they came back each time. As your original set of kids grew so did the dangers. You knew they were raised for this yet your heart still hurts at the thought. Unfortunately some didn’t make it. Some may think its hard to care for so many children emotionally but it didn’t matter to you, you felt hurt when they were. Each and every one of them you raised and cared for became your child in their eyes. Lucky your husband despite not being the most emotional vulnerable still let you cry over each. Her gentle whispers reassuring that it was not your fault.
She knows your heart, she knows its that empathy and vulnerability that strengthens your bond with the children, sometimes she envies that. But she still tries to make up for it to the best she can.
So when The twins and Freminet were imprisoned you became worrisome. She with held that it was for a mission because she knew you would demand to join them. Still she held you.
“Could I send tea bags to Lynette? Letters? Oh god poor Freminet he always loves diving! He can’t dive anywhere!” You paced as you were planning a gift to be sent. She watched you with a smile.
“I assure you they will be fine. They’re barely serving a few months for a petty crime that likely won’t end up on their record. They have each other afterall. You know Lyney, he will not let any of them get hurt.” She said calmly,
“Still he’s my boy and I worry about him!” You say panicked.
“And the prophecy! Oh god they’re so far down underwater they wouldn’t have a way out!” You paced even more as her smile faded.
“My love,” she held you in her arms making you still, “I assure you, everything will be okay. They’ll be back when their sentence is over, and they’ll have all sorts of stories to tell. Freminet can handle himself, and Lyney is a good protector of the two. They will be fine. As for the prophecy, I have my own methods ready.” She said kissing the back of your neck. You sighed as you finally calmed down.
“You’re right. I need to relax..” you say melting into her touch. “I just… oh I can’t help it. Lyney was the first to call me mom.” Arlecchino smiled as you looked at one of the baby pictures of the twins.
“You’re always their mother. With you waiting here I’m sure they’ll strive to make it back.” She says calmly.
“They better.” You huff. “That Wriothesley better be kind to my kids otherwise-“
“Relax dear. Don’t think anymore about the impossible. Besides, I’m sure they’ll be treated as any other prisoner is. Afterall, Fontaine is currently under alot of pressure, I’m sure he wouldn’t be confident enough to pull a stunt like that.” She says. “And if he did, then I’ll handle it.” You sigh in relief as she holds you closer to herself.
“You’re right I know I know.”
“If you would like you can send them a letter. Of course you can’t send any gifts but you’re more than welcome to wri-“ Arlecchino stopped as she watched you pick up a pen and looked for a piece of paper. “Here.” She handed you a piece. Quickly you started to write down your thoughts as she smiled behind you. “You should slow down. They might not be able to read your writing otherwise.”
“You’re sure i can’t send gifts? Not even a blanket? Oh Lynette hates being cold! That place must be so cold too, so far down under the sea.. oh my poor baby.” You moped.
“I’m certain there’s accomdations for such. I doubt they’d let their staff down their freeze. Besides I hear it can actually get too hot down there.”
“But what about Freminet then! He isn’t good handling intense heat. He burnt his hand on the kettle once and he’s never trusted them since. He always uses a oven mitt or glove even when its not necessary.” Your fingers tapped worriedly.
“Darling please try to not assume the worst. Our children are not hostages right now. They simply are being disciplined for a small amount of time. Their sentences are only two or so months.” She repeated trying to soothe you. You pouted even more.
“Still I’ll miss them. I even bought a new dessert book to try and make some for Lynette. She always comes by to visit when I even imply there’s new desserts. She’s become my little taste tester.” You smile. “She doesn’t smile but her tail wags impatiently when she sees me preparing a new sweet.”
“You know them so well.” She smiles and brushes your hair, helping to alleviate some tension held within your shoulders. “I’m sure they miss you too. You know they wouldn’t want you to worry so much about them.”
“I’m aware. Still I love them all so much.. it hurts that I cannot protect them all from everything in life.” You lift your head to look at her as her arm rests on your waist.
“I know my dear. Its why you’re the finest choice for me.” She kisses you. “Now just relax and I’ll write the letter for you.”

Take me to AO3
You have no idea when you had woken up, it could have been five minutes, or half an hour, time passed like that when you had someone to look at beside you, someone who had put her wing around your sleeping form, keeping you warm in this cold room, she knew that, so she took it upon herself to keep you warm in her little ways she only showed in her discreet manners. You sighed into her chest, silent, your eyes still closed. She would probably have to wake soon, but it was odd for you to awake earlier than her, a nice odity though, so you`d use it to your advantage, just for the memory, you would most likely fall asleep soon anyways, your heartbeat already slowing down. You pulled her closer to you, hiding from the small sliver of ligth.
Ligth?
Ligth!?
You shock up from your half sleep and there was, indeed ligth, shining rigth onto her face. Her eyes were closed shut and she was biting her lips.
„Huh.“ your hand brushed her bangs away. „Even in sleep, you can not find peace.“ you watch her as she does not move then eye the clock. Your eyes go wide.
„Arlecchino?“ you shake her shoulder. She did not even notice. You knew having her go to sleep with a fever was a bad idea! „Arlecchino are you dead?“ you nearly shout, still shaking her. Oh you knew something was wrong after yesterday!
***
You stand in front of a hearth, watching the Keetle, waiting for its familiar screeching sound, waiting for the door to slam. You stretch a bit and your back cracks, the maid behind you cringes.
Arlecchino had sent you a messenger yesterday evening, telling you not to wait and that the meeting would go a bit longer than planned. A bit was a codeword for `the whole nigth` from now on apparently. You weren`t happy waking to a cold place next to you, but you knew she`d be even more unhappy standing around a whole night with coleuges that she despised. You just got done pouring the tea when the slam came. Perfect timing. You waited a few seconds, but only the clicking of high heels sounded in your ears.
„Jules, do go out and take a break.“ you say to the very maid that cringed as she cleaned some counter tops. She dissapeard as Arlecchino entered the room, a big thundercloud above her head.
„Only thinking of themselves, aren`t they?“ she asked, trying to reach the tea, but you take her hand before she could.
„It is not finished yet.“ you tell her and she presses her hands against the counter.
„It is just rediculess, they are throwing ideas at eachothers heads and see what will stick! As if this isn`t the biggest project of the Fatui yet!“
You have your hand slide to hers. She looks at it, then at you. „No one is here?“
„We are alone.“
She pulls you into her strong arms rigth away, hugging you tigth, hiding her face in your neck. Her rather hot face, you notice now. She mutered insults into your neck, directed at her colleagues.
„The outside wasn`t able to calm you.“
She shock her head, and abandond her place in your neck in favor of looking into your eyes, or trying to. „The palace is colder than the outside, staying in there for so long with nothing but my coat...“ you saw her go over the meeting in her mind, pick it apart, seeth.
„Do you think that you catched something?“ you put your hand against her forehead.
„Mayhabs, what do you think, dear?“
She couldn`t have had a better timing for cough.
You removed your hand and checked the tea. „I think you`re sick.“
She shrugged.“It`s just an itch., nothing a little tea can`t fix.“
You sqeeze both bags out. „Sure.“ You had to go shoping anyways, maybe you could get some vitamine pills.
She takes the tea from your hand, leaving the kitchen. „I will see you at the orphanage then?“
„Arlecchino.“ she turned at your tone.“Didn`t you forget something?“
She stared at you, she rolled her eyes when it clicked. „You are too corny for me.“ she pulled you close, kissing your temple, before making her way to the office.
„I will see you at the house, do try to get some sleep!“
„Yeah, yeah.“
***
She had indeed joined you later when you were at the playground close by, looking less elegant than usuall, wearing her coat. She had hid herself in your neck, telling you how she was even more tired after her nap. You had added candles to your shopping list and more tea.
„Arlecchino!“ you said one last time and she woke up in a coughing fit. You fall around her arms rigth away. „Oh thank the archons you aren`t dead!“
„Of course I am not dead you fool! Get off me!“ you do so, helping her sit up, getting her water. She was boiling when you touched her hand. „Archons I am cold...what time is it.“
„Nine.“ you say.
She curses in fontanian while jumping out of the bed, having her hair cascade down. She had to stabilize herself. You tried to form a coherent argument as to why she should stay home as she gets dressed.
You follow her to the vanity as she gets her jacket. „You are sick!“
„Yes I know.“ she brushed through her hair, styling it, coughing in between.
„There was already a meeting last nigth! Why would you have to go again?“
She fastened the winged accesoire in her hair. „It will be short this time and it is only between the top five.“
You crossed your arms in front of your chest. „Arlecchino.“ she stood up, looking ready, but you knew her well enough.“You will call in sick.“
„I am afraid that won`t work, my love.“
You sighed as she took out her coat. „Do you really want your co-workers to notice your weakness?“
„They cough themselves at the cold, it won`t be much of an issue.“
You put yourself in front of the door, blocking her way. „I do not want you to go. You are sick and need to be taken care of.“
She moved up to you, slowly, nearly like a predator, shoes clicking on the floor. „Dear.“ she said with a sligth edge.
„How dare you trying to threathen me!“ you nearly shout. She isn`t faced by it, remaining in her calm demeanor, putting her hands on your shoulders, pulling you aside.
„I need to get to work, dear.“ there is an urge in her eyes. „How about a comprimise? I will go to this meeting, get home and will take a much needed break. I will take the weekend off too.“
You thougth about it, watched the clock, then at her. This was a good deal, even if it felt like the ilusion of a comprimise. „Ok, but you will get home rigth after it is over.“
She pressed her hot lips against your forehead. „I will see you later.“
You whisper an „I love you.“, watching her get away, hurying through the front door.
You always fell for her ways.
***
You sit on a sofa close to the front door, a small table with a lamp on it next to you. You had just returned from shopping and Jules was stacking everything up in the kitchen. You had also made a short trip to the House, to say hello to the children and to inform them that their „Father“ would be gone for the weekend. They had been sad, but there was nothing to do about it, they shouldn`t get sick to, you yourself had avoided the Infants because of that reason, considering everything, you migth get sick to, or were already and just didn`t notice it.
It was then that the door opened, it made you look up to the pale figure entering the house. She was coughing rigth away. You watched in silence. She looked up, towards you. „Hello Honey.“ she said, weirdly soft.
„Bed.“ you just said and she put her hands up as if she were a criminal that was just caugth.
„Whatever you want.“
When she was gone you went into the next room, telling Jules to warm up some water to put the Vitamins in. Then you went up yourself.
She was sitting in front of the vanity, removingher make up, earrings and what not. You leaned against the closed door, watching untill she was finished. She then watched you, proping her head up on her hands. How can she look so sick but so elegant at the same time?
A smile then crocked at her lips. „No kiss?“
„You-“ you take a breath before shouting. Control your emotions. „Just get to bed, I will check on Jules.“
She already moved to the bed. „Of course dear.“
You tch`d, moving out of the room to lean over the railing. „How is it going Jules?“
„It is all well! The water is already boiling.“
„Perfect, please do start on some chicken soup, and do not forget to kock.“
„Of course and I´d never!“
You nod, thinking a bit, before getting back to an Arlecchino that was sitting in bed properly, with the blanket covering her legs, her hand were folded above her lap and she wore the pink pyjamas you picked out. It was just that...you snickered, moving towards to sit on her lap.
„You need to button it, get all warmed up.“ you get your fingers on the top one while she is chuckling.
„Oh, I know.“ she pulls you closer by the waist, having her sharp nails scrape the fabric covering your skin, trying to get her hands under it.
„Getting clingy, eh?“ you ask, finishing up on the buttons.
She only shrugged, her other hand moving over to your thigh. „What will be your way to heal me?“
You shake your head, smiling. „My mom used to give me these vitamine pills when I was younger. Put them in some warm water, had them resolve? I got better in a day. Also some chicken soup.“
She nodded, acknowledgment in her eyes. „The same method you use on the children?“
You nod, hands moving towards her long silky hair to play with it. „You will be back to your feet in no time...how has the meeting been?“
„More civiliced, but I still felt as if I entered a circus. I am glad that you never have to meet them in such a setting.“
Her hands start kneading, nails carefully scraping your skin untill a knock is heard. You try to get up, but she holds you down. „Come in Jules.“
You blush, stopping in your actions, trying to find something else to do as she came in, look somewhere else. You could already feel the faint blush on your cheeks. You felt childish for it, youhad been married for about three years, she had kissed you in front of others. But this was way different. You looked back up at her when Jules was gone, as she took the tea. She crocked a brow, then smiled.
„I could have taken it.“
„I like you better here. Do you want some?“
She refered to the Tea, but you were sure you`d straigth up die if you`d drink it, it was that bitter indeed. So you took the glass with the vitamins, ony now noticing the thermometer. Smart Jules.
You simply hand it to Arlecchino with a „Check it?“ before having the taste of oranges fill your mouth. It was more amplified though, artificial, of course. Her hands and body had been more warm than the ussuall, you`d even compare her to a scorching sun rigth now. The thermometer beeped and you take it out before she can move her hand.
Forty two celcius. You bite your lip. „This is the highest fever I have ever seen personally.“
„I have had higher.“ she shrugged it off.
You look at her, an unspoken question in your face.
„Long story, I will tell you some other time.“
You nod, deciding that she`d go to the hospital if that high fever would accure. She then shooed you of her lap in favor of the soup. Of course she would take her end of the comprimise. She was your Peruere, after all. You had the name turn in your mind. It was still odd to you. Her name, how soft it sounded from her newer one that you had grown accostumed to. But sometimes it still fit her, like now, the Woman sitting in front of you, eating soup? Puruere. The „Father“ teaching a child? Puruere. Your Husband? Well, there it got complicated.
When she finished her soup, you lowered your head onto her lap, grabing the water with the vitamines. Arlecchino watched you, curious as you hum at the taste.
„Is it good?“
„Sweet.“
You smiled when she pulled a face, knowing that she`d still drink it. You put the cup back to the plate, deciding that this would be the place to lounge, rigth on her lap. Your scary wolf. She started to have her hand rake through your hair, over your head soon after, leaning back while in thougth. You meanwhile leaned into her touch, closing your eyes, getting the occasional snicker as she deepend her thougths. You eventually dooze of, not noticing when Arlecchino calls Jules in to ask for documents. She arranged them neatly next to her, her other hand still tied to your hair. You wake up only when a paper brushes your side and she stops. You look up, suprised, then at the papers.
„Arlecchino-“ there is a sharp edge to your voice.
„I am only reading, dear.“
You crock a brow, look at the empty nigthstand. „You drank it all up?“
She nodded, slowly, then took a tissue. You only noticed the shadow under her eyes now and you squint your eyes. „Did you sleep enough.“
She pushes some of her hair to the side. „I sadly could not make enough time, I know, it is foolish.“
A crease appears between your eyebrows as you sit up, take her head between your hands. „What is this project?“ you look towards the folder on her side, a big red CONFIDENTIAL is written on it. She puts the papers inside.
„Nothing you should be worried about yet.“ she then takes some other papers from her nigthstand. „Can you read these to me?“
„It has to do with the Gnoses rigth?“ you ask, crocking your head. „You mumbled about it while I was in your office. and just now.“
It only takes seconds for her to build her composure back up. „It is. But you will get to those meetings to once it is all confirmed, you will play as much a part of this as me.“
You hesitate before taking the papers. „Please, we are married now, stop keeping your work from me...it is like you said.“ You interupt her as she opend her mouth. „Now lie down. I will read to you and you will get enough sleep.“
She sighs, but does as you say, her head on the pillows, completly tugged in. She looked almost cute. You took the place beside her, proping her head up on your arm while simultaneously cuddling her closer. She was so close rigth now, you were actually able to count her eyelashes. You smile, looking back down at the papers and read them to her. They were about legends of the gods. It was weird, considering your wifes...believes, or lack of them therefore. But considering her new mission, it migth make sense. It did not take long until you noticed how her eyelids grew heavy, you in turn started to speak a bit more quiet while gently rubbing circles into her back untill she was asleep.

⊱ ۫ ׅ ✧ LOST & FOUND platonic arlecchino & reader !
synopsis. hell hath no fury like a parent whose child has been taken from them. contents. PLATONIC. description of blood and injury (mildly graphic but not gory), violence, mentions of kidnapping, swearing (like once), implied murder. house of the hearth!reader. angst & slight hurt/comfort. 2.5k words. notes. LAST REPOST!! my house of the hearth series is all moved here now :'D
It had been fifty-eight hours, and twenty-seven minutes since [Name] had vanished.
Freminet sat curled up in a velvet armchair that dwarfed his small frame, with Pers on his lap and his brother and sister flanking each side. They had both refused Father’s offer of a seat, which showed the severity of the situation more than words ever could.
No one ever refused Father. Even she had raised an eyebrow at their sudden rebellion.
“Lyney, Lynette. Defiance will not make [Name] come home faster. Take a seat.” Father sipped her tea, poised as ever. Even with that impassive mask, Freminet still noticed the tension in her shoulders.
He always noticed.
“There’s no need,” Lyney said shortly, adding on a respectful “Father.” as an afterthought.
“What my brother means—” Lynette cut in smoothly. “—Is that we do not want to draw this conversation out any longer than necessary. We only came to get permission to postpone our current assignment and search for [Name]. I’m sure you can see the circumstances are dire enough to warrant such action.”
“I’m afraid I do not, Lynette.” Father placed her cup down and folded her hands over her lap. “They are a very skilled agent, and this mission was hardly out of their ability. No need to compromise your current—and very important, I might add—mission, for trivial matters.”
“It isn’t trivial, it’s our sibling!” Lyney burst out, causing Freminet to flinch. He reached out a hand blindly to settle on Freminet’s shoulder, squeezing it quickly in both a comfort and apology for startling him.
“I would be mindful of your place within this household, Lyney.” Father said mildly, the warning clear. “I have given you a direct order, and you will follow it. Do not stray from your assigned mission. [Name] will be fine.” She paused for a beat. “You are dismissed.”
“That’s it?” Lyney hissed. “So, you’re going to just leave them to die?”
It sounded like less of a question and more of an accusation. Freminet winced, feeling Lynette stiffen beside him as well as they waited for the consequences of Lyney’s bluntness.
Arlecchino rose from her seat, the tension in the air thick enough to choke all three of the siblings.
“I never said that. [Name] will be home in due time.” Her gaze shifted from the left to the right side of the armchair. “Lynette, you will have tea with me later, won’t you?” Father asked, causing the girl to freeze.
She bit her lip, answering carefully. “I may. Maybe if [Name] returns, we can all have tea together.”
“A good plan,” Father agreed, ignoring the quiet angry undertone of her words. “When I see them, I shall invite them.”
“It had better be soon; it’s getting late.” Lynette countered. Freminet’s eyes darted back and forth between the two of them. Lynette was always better at matching Father’s games. Freminet crumbled under the weight of her gaze, and Lyney wasn’t any better at handling the pressure without his emotions causing him to crack and splinter.
“Lynette, Freminet. Let’s go.” Lyney said sharply.
Throughout the entire exchange, Lyney’s hand had not moved from where it was planted firmly on Freminet’s shoulder, as if he was refusing to let another of his siblings out of his grasp. Freminet might have remarked that Lynette was handling her worry better, but he noticed how her tail kept curling around his leg when they walked into Father’s office. Neither of the three was willing to part with the others for even a second; not when one of their own had gone missing by doing just that.
As he drew back his hand and moved away, Freminet caught his arm.
“Just… a moment, please. Wait outside, I’ll join you soon.” Freminet murmured, letting go. Lyney pursed his lips.
“Be quick.”
The twins vanished through the doorway, leaving Freminet alone with his Father.
“Freminet dear. You’re hesitating.” Father raised an eyebrow. “Are you waiting for something? Do you want me to give Pers a kiss on the head before I leave?”
Freminet flushed at the memories of holding the toy up to Father when he was young, insisting the penguin deserved a proper goodbye too. “Ahem. I’m not a child anymore… Father.”
“No? Then why are you still here?”
He swallowed awkwardly, forcing himself to look her in the eyes. He met her stare
“I know you’re just as worried as I am.” He said bluntly.
Father’s expression was almost impossible to read, but Freminet managed to catch a hint of surprise at his words. “I see. How did you come to that conclusion?”
It wasn’t denial, nor was it defensiveness. That was a good sign. Freminet continued, “There is a pinch between your eyebrows that you keep trying to smooth over. You’re gripping your teacup much tighter than usual. Your shoulders are tense. And you were far too quick to dismiss the twins’ concerns. You of all people would know that the situation is severe enough to allow a brief pause to their investigation, but you were swift in making sure they were kept as far away from the situation as possible.”
Arlecchino stared back at Freminet silently. She always had that unsettling way of watching him, as if she was picking apart the cogs and wheels spinning in his mind to know exactly what he was thinking.
“Observant as always, Freminet.” Freminet stood up straighter, pink touching his cheeks. “So, tell me this: what am I to do next?”
“You’re… going to find them yourself?” He asked slowly.
“That is correct. I will be.” Father agreed, and something inside him swelled. If only Lyney was still in the room, he would have collapsed with relief. “And what will you be doing?”
“Helping.” Freminet said without a thought.
“Incorrect. You are going to return to your room, go to sleep, and not say a word to your siblings.”
“But—”
“No. You are not involved here.” Arlecchino turned her back on him, looking out the window with her arms folded behind her.
“Father—”
“Do not forget that if you or your sibling’s interference costs me my mission, [Name]’s blood will be on your hands.”
Freminet recoiled sharply, as if she had struck him across the face. Arlecchino refused to lay a hand on any of them, but her words were more than enough to wound them.
“I—”
“I’m not looking for an argument, Freminet.”
Freminet shut his mouth with a click, lowering his head. He forced back the wave of emotions sweeping across him, sinking them so far into the depths of his mind that not even a champion diver like himself would be able to reach them.
“I am looking for an answer.” Father raised an eyebrow.
“Yes, Father.” He said quietly.
“Good child,” She murmured, laying a gentle hand on the top of his head. “You are dismissed.”
-----
Arlecchino made her move at the stroke of sundown.
It was disgustingly easy to track them down, and the sheer incompetence only fuelled her rage until it burned brighter than the flames that curled beneath her skin. The assailants were sloppy, leaving plenty of traces for her to find, as if they were waiting for her to find them.
One of her agents had returned with a slip of paper that evening—a ransom note, crudely explaining that they had captured a House of the Hearth agent, and demanding a hefty sum in exchange for their safe return. She had chuckled at that last part. They would be lucky for her to leave them with their lives after what they have done, let alone a reward.
Their hideout was located in a quiet cave near the ocean, with an entrance half-hidden behind a curtain of vines. It was a quaint spot, a cosy place to sit back and watch the sun set over the water. She was sure the view behind her was breathtaking, but she made no move to take a glance for herself.
The vines made way for a long, narrow tunnel, ending with a wooden door. Arlecchino quietly turned the handle, scoffing under her breath when it turned without a key being inserted, and slipped through without making a single sound.
Six were scattered around the dingy room; one woman, five men. Seeming to be aged between their mid-twenties at the youngest, and early-forties at the oldest.
“Have we got a response yet?” The woman muttered impatiently, tapping her foot against the floor.
“How should I know?” One of the men grunted. “We left the note. Eventually it’s gotta make it’s way to the boss herself, and we’ll get the reward.”
“Just gotta be patient,” Another murmured. “Gotta be patient.”
Slightly past them was a wooden cage, secured with a metal lock.
They were in a heap on the floor of the cage, breathing weakly—Arlecchino quietly thanked the Tsaritsa that they were breathing at all—and looked to be passed out.
The fire inside her sang, and she could hardly breathe under the heat of it all.
“How long is this woman gonna take?” The woman rolled her eyes. “I’m tired of waiting.”
Arlecchino chuckled, causing all of the six to jump. “Oh, then allow me to assure you that you won’t have to wait much longer at all.”
Instantly they were on their feet, grabbing whatever weapon was closest. Their expressions ranged from outright fear, to an egregious amount of confidence for how weak they were in comparison to her.
“Knave,” the closest man grinned crookedly. “How kind of you to join us. I’m assuming you’re here for—” he jerked his head towards the figure still unmoving. “—that one?”
“‘That one’?” Arlecchino repeated slowly, drawing her scythe to her side. “I am here for my child.”
Two of the men—the ones closest to the cage—looked at each other nervously. Arlecchino smiled. It was a pity the rest of the group didn’t share the sense to fear her, but they would learn soon enough.
“Well you see, we’ll be happy to hand them over—” the man’s grin widened. “For a price, of course.”
“A price, you say?” She mused. “How about this. You step aside, I retrieve my child, and offer you a quick death. I would say that is more than fair, considering what you have cost me.”
The smile dropped off the man’s face. “That ain’t an option, lady.”
“Then I think you misunderstand.” She took a step towards him, then another, eyes glinting dangerously in the low light. “I wasn’t asking.”
“Boss—” one of the men tried to say.
“Shut it.” the first man hissed, bringing his shovel up in a defensive position. It was almost laughable, how he thought that would protect him.
“You made four mistakes tonight,” Arlecchino said smoothly. The tip of her scythe brushed the floor, sending a loud scraping sound across the walls. All of the people inside the room winced at the sound, but Arlecchino was unfazed as she continued prowling towards them.
“One… you failed to cover your tracks, making it remarkably easy to track you down.” In one swift motion, she lunged. The group barely had time to blink, before her scythe sliced across the chest of the closest one.
There was silence, before the man made a low gasp, bright crimson blood spilling down his shirt. He collapsed forward onto the ground with a thud, and the room erupted into chaos. A scream tore from the throat of the woman, and she dropped to her knees at his side, desperately clutching his shoulders. Arlecchino aimed a quick strike at her back, and she fell against the man heavily.
“Two, you left the door unlocked.” A pair charged towards her, hammers and shovels swinging. She knocked the weapons from their hands with one hit, and knocked them down with a second.
“Three—” One snuck up from behind, quickly tossing a string of rope over her head and around her neck, pulling harshly to cut off her breathing. An elbow in his ribs winded him enough to loosen his grip, and a knock to the head with the hilt of her scythe sent him to the floor. “You brought far too few people to last in a fight against me.”
The final man stumbled backwards until he hit the wall, shrinking against the bricks. Arlecchino walked with slow steps, stalking towards him like an animal cornering their pray. He shielded his face with his hands, in a desperate attempt to protect himself. Once she was about a foot away, she stopped, leaning in close.
“And four.” Arlecchino grasped the man by the throat, digging her nails into his skin hard enough to draw blood. “You hurt my fucking child.”
She tossed his body to the side, watching him hit the wall with a thud and collapse to the ground like a ragdoll.
“Pathetic.” She scoffed under her breath, stepping over his limp body. Her anger wasn’t nearly quelled—an inferno is not easily cooled, after all—but seeing them all lying lifelessly across the floor of their own base at least brought some vindication. She turned her back to the man, looking over at her child.
They were curled up in the cage like a trapped animal, rattling breaths ringing through the bars. Arlecchino gritted her teeth at the sight, making sure to step on the nearest captor’s fingers as she walked over. She swung her scythe against the lock, shattering it into bits of metal.
Her hands were gentle in reaching into the cage, hooking a hand under their knees and cradling their back with the other. They made a pained cry, and Arlecchino hurried to pull them out. She held them close to her chest, letting their cheek rest where her heartbeat pounded against her chest. Her face didn’t falter from that stony expression, but inside she was burning with fury.
“My child,” She murmured, more to herself than the shivering form in her arms. There was something dangerous in her tone, a note of warning to the assailants still conscious enough to hear her voice. She kissed their forehead, a tender gesture out of place among the bloodshed. “Didn’t I promise you that while you’re with me, no one can hurt you?”
“F-Father…?” A broken whisper slipped through their lips, followed by a sob, first sinking Arlecchino’s heart then shattering it into two.
“Shh… it’s okay. It’s okay, darling, I’m here.” She crooned, carrying them out of the room and through the tunnel. All throughout the journey through the tunnel and back onto the beach, she didn’t stop murmuring comforts and pressing kisses to their head in the most maternal way she’d ever remembered acting.
“I’m sorry, Father…” they mumbled, cheek pressed against her chest.
“Darling…” Arlecchino hummed, even as the smouldering ashes in her chest began to spark and flicker. “You have nothing to apologise for.”
The night was cold, but her child was a warm weight in her arms. She revelled in the warmth, a gentle reminder that they were still alive.
“We’ll be home soon,” Arlecchino promised, even though they were barely conscious enough to hear her. “Soon.”

Their greatest weakness!
Aka genshin’s most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes greatest weakness or biggest turn ons. The easiest way to get them riled up and ready.
Arlecchino
In general you just existing makes her feel more… greedy. But often are the children surrounding you with innocence and naïveté so she keeps her hands to herself most of the time. But sometimes she wishes she could just pick you up and carry you away. Oh seeing you being so motherly warms her heart.
But she has her needs and whenever you’re alone her hands are often all around you. The easiest way to seduce her is simply just showing a little neck. She lovesss to mark your neck, biting and smearing lipstick all over. You’ll have to wear a scarf or collared shirts after but its a small price to pay. In particular she’s fond of ribbons and lace. Especially around the chest. She likes the idea of being able to untie your clothes like unwrapping a present. She will do so slowly and gently of course, she would love to use the ribbon to bing your hands or block your eyesight.
Jean
She’s definitely the easiest to seduce. She’s oh so repressed. Even seeing you in a simple low cut dress showcasing even the littlest of cleavage will have her reeling. A great way to lure her to bed and to take a ‘rest is to simply wear a nightgown more low cut and sweetly ask when she’ll be coming to bed. She’ll be rushing through work as soon as she can. If possible she will just ditch the paper and go to you right away. Unable to focus now that she nows what she’s missing.
Diluc
Anything. The sight if your thighs, your neck, your cleavage, your belly, your hips. Oh anything that is you. He cannot help himself when you show even the smallest of skin. Once when you went to the beach with him he quickly pulled you to a more isolated part to ravage you. He couldn’t keep his hands to himself, you weren’t even wearing that lewd of a swimsuit but so much skin just sent him into frenzy. If you wore lingerie he would lunge at you almost immediately.
Ayato
He is much harder to seduce. Often he’s the one seducing you, his hands lightly tracing your skin to heighten your senses. He’s a big fan of blindfolds. So if you wear a sleeping mask he tends to get a bit mischievous. He won’t do anything if you’re unconscious unless you’ve given him permission to do so prior. Its not that he isn’t attracted to you, he simply has alot of self restraint
But to lure him from his office is difficult as he has a high self control. So subtle and innocent looks won’t work. He’ll know what you’re playing at. If you want to seduce him you have to commit and hard. Lingerie is a favorite of his. Especially if he catches sight of it under your clothes. The difficulty being that.. the get up you usually wear isn’t allowing of little peaks like that. So you have to be creative and direct. In general he likes begging. You will probably have to grovel too as you try to encourage him to come to bed with you. Then he will oblige.
Childe
Anything. If you’re with him he is likely obsessed with you. Like a drug any inch of you will drive him mad and wanting more. In his homeland however such revealing clothes are a liability. But oh how he lovessss your thighs. He often lays his head on them, bites them, squishes them, etc. thigh highs in particular will drive him insane. Stockings too. You could be wearing anything but if you’re wearing stockings or thighs highs it will drive him mad. You will not be walking straight.
Chlorinde
Ohhhhh despite her stoicism and professionalism she is down bad for you. Anything drives her crazy. She is great at hiding this though. In public she will simply maintain her usual professionalism. But in private? Oh she won’t be holding back. She won’t stop herself from taking what she wants where she wants. She can tell when you’re doing it on purpose. She is quite fond of gloves, lacy and transparent ones in particular. She loves to hold your hands in hers while in the act. Its such a intimate feeling to her. She loves lace in general but your hands are just so delicate to her. She loves feeling them on her too.
Thoma
Honestly touch is a big turn on to him. In particular light touches and body contact too. If you just pull his body close to yours, leaving no gaps in-between he’ll start to get flustered. If you sneak up behind him and start lightly touching him he’ll get all worked up and flustered. He’d be too embarrassed to do anything at work. That would take alot of seduction. He’d be pouting and trying so hard not to whimper as you easily would have him wrapped around your finger. He is easily aroused by the sight of your body. But if you start teasing him he’ll be following you like a dog on a collar
Wriothesley
Another thigh guy. He fuckin loves thigh highs an stockings too. He loves just ripping them off and burying himself in between your thighs. The best part to him is seeing you have to walk away in torn tights clearly showing what exactly you had been doing in his office. He loves mesh clothing in general because he loves just ripping it off. Like tearing wrapping paper off a box. He cannot resist it.

Heart of the Hearth
Aka Arlecchino Husbandry continued.
Summary: your baby daddy Arle puts a ring on your finger
Cw: none really. Fluff and domestic vibes all the way. Baby Lynette and Lyney plus Freminet but they snoozing. Fem reader.
Its a cold winter outside of Fontaine currently. You’ve decided to spend the night as you doubt you’ll make it home in this weather. Luckily your boss has given you a room of your own separate from the kid’s rooms. But you won’t make it there as for the first time ever little Lynette is cuddling with you. She lays her little head on your lap like a sleepy kitten as she dozes off into a pleasant dream. Lyney sleeps on your other thigh, drool trickling down his cheeks as you shut his mouth so he won’t stain his pajamas. Little Freminet sleeps nearby snuggling with Lyney. The domestic scenery further melting your heart more than the fireplace could. You however were awake for one simple reason:back pain. You and the kids were in the living room where you had originally been talking off their ears in a attempt to help them sleep only for you to become their pillow. If it was just Lyney you would have picked them both up and carried them to the bunk beds but little Lynette looked to cute to disturb and so you resigned to be a pillow.
The wind outside is howling but you trust the windows hold strong. The Knave should be in her office as usual. You don’t have the ability to check if she’s fallen asleep at her desk again. But the door opens as her high heels click down the stairs to your room. You fix your hair slightly as she opens the door.
“You’re not in your room? Is the mattress not to your standards?” She asks. Her eyes are typically cold and calculating, but right now you notice a different glint in them, not one you’ve seen before. A glint of pride or surprise perhaps as he spots the slumbering children.
“They couldn’t sleep so I took them here so they wouldn’t wake the others. And then they fell asleep on me.” A polite smile graces your lips. You notice her gaze soften seeing Lynette move briefly to be closer to you as she snores lightly. You notice a small smile on her face. Not too noticeable. She crouches down to examine Lynette.
“It appears you’re a more comfortable bed to them.” She says brushing some hair out of her face, giving a gentle scratch to her ears which flicker in response.
“I was quite surprised too. Its why I haven’t moved. I just didn’t want to ruin it for her.”
Arlecchino humms as she looks up at you. “You seem uncomfortable though. Why is that?”
“O-oh.. just my back. Its been a real pain recently.” You nervously say.
“Why is that?” She says as she stands up, still examining you. Her gaze isn’t as intimidating as it usually is. You notice her demeanor is different too. She isn’t just her for business or professional purposes. She deliberately left her office to look for you. Her hair is also down, no longer tied. She circles to behind the couch.
“Well.. I’m not sure. It could just be stress or maybe I’ve bent over too much.” You say. Lyney shuffles a bit, humming as he adjusts himself to a more comfortable position while still asleep. You rest your hand on his head to pat him gently.
“You certainly look more stressed than usual. You haven’t even changed out of your uniform into your pajamas.” She comments.
“Well truth be told I couldn’t sleep either. I felt like I forgot something to do.”
She humms as your nerves jolt at her hands suddenly landing gently on your shoulders. Her pals digging into the muscles of your collar like a massage. You blush taken off guard.
“M-mi-“
“Shh.” She says gently. “You will wake the children. If you get too worked up.”
“Sorry… I just..”
“Is it unpleasant for you? Its a bit difficult with my nails.” She comments. You shake your head.
“I’m just surprised. You’ve been so… soft to me lately And I just don’t understand why?”
Another hum as he continues with the massage. “You are important here, these children are easier to manage with you around. They admire you very much so. Is it wrong for me to care for the mother of my children?” She says. The way she says mother sends a shiver down your spine. You hadn’t seen your dynamic like that, a mother and father. But she was right.
“A m-mother.. oh I’m just a caretaker I’m sure I’m not that important.” You say attempting to be more humble and calm.
“Hmm not so. Little Lynette wouldn’t rest on the lap of a simple caretaker. They came to you when they were distressed. They also do, all of my children come to you when i am not available. You sing them lullabies and wipe their tears and you kiss their scars. You are the only mother they have here. Of course they would treasure you. And so should I.” Her voice sends more tingles down your spine. Her voice is deep, it sounds powerful but soft. Devoted but strong. “You are the mother to my children, you are very important to me.” There’s no room for debate on that matter. She’s clear with how she sees you. You gulp as you blush even more so.
“Y-you’re right on that matter.. but its such a…weird concept…”
“Weird?” She pauses. “How so?”
“We-well its just that it almost sounds like we’re married when you say it like that. I’m only your employee.” You say nervously. You look up at her as you notice that look in her eyes which makes you forget to breathe. Her eyes hold a passion and devotion you had previously not seen before. There’s also this sense that she’s holding back. Her fingers leave your shoulders and grip the edge of the couch. Her nails likely leaving a scratch.
“Is that idea something you’re uncomfortable with?”
“Maybe not.” You say quietly, averting your gaze. She smiles as she can sense your heart racing as her hands return to your collar. She notices how you seem to almost move to meet her touch.
“Excellent.” Her voice is almost like a purr. She presses a kiss to the nape of your neck making you blush.
“I’ll get you the finest of rings then. And we’ll start on preparations for the wedding tomorrow after my 12 o clock meeting, but for now.” Her hands trails to your right as she slides one of her own rings onto your ring finger. “This will do.”

The Acting Grandmaster’s Secret
A/n: once again Jean has ruined another 50:50 for me >:( i have her c3 and I haven’t even built her properly. Anyways i toyed with the idea that she was obsessed with me and it resulted in this enjoy!
Summary: Jean takes s vacation with her wife to Fontaine only for another blonde to catch her attention making her very jealous
Warnings: mild manipulation and yandere themes, dw nothing bad happens to Navia. Fem! Reader usage of wife!
Jean is a sophisticated woman. Raised to be cordial but fierce. Like a lioness she could cut her foes or shelter the weak. It was no secret in Mondstadt that if you flirt with her beloved wife that she will be most displeased. The only one who seemingly has been able to get away with even friendly flirting is Lisa. But she knows not to push Jean’s boundaries.
Jean trusts you. She does really. She listens when you tell her to take a break, to unwind. You’re also clever yourself. If she truly can’t take time you’ll give her a shoulder massage and pepper her in kisses. You’re her wife after-all, she trusts your capability to know when she can push a but more and when she’s at her limit. But also because she can never stand to see you leave her office dejected or defeated. She also knows you are quite loyal. She hears from Kaeya how one night you joined him for drinks at Angel’s share mostly to try some of the mocktails Diluc had prepared. According to him when a unwanted suitor didn’t take the hint you proceeded to humiliate him with a thorough explanation of how disgusting and undesirable he was. Leaving him to retreat in embarrassment as Diluc shot him a menacing glare. She was still annoyed you went out without her but she was glad to hear you still stuck to your vows.
Now however she faced a crisis. You managed to convince her to take a vacation and head to Fontaine for a week, leaving Lisa in charge. She was quite excited to get to explore with you. To see new sites in a city of romance. She was okay with you making friends… except for Navia.
Navia was nice. She’s beautiful really. But Jean struggles to accept how frequently she joins you two. This trip was for you two to get closer and to relax. Not for you to make a new friend. Jean knows Navia is probably innocent, she probably isn’t as sinister of manipulative as she makes her out to be in her head. But Jean can’t stand seeing someone else embrace her wife, giving her a ‘friendly greeting’ which is a kiss on the cheek. Yes that’s how Fontaine is but still, she reels in envy and jealously.
Navia and you seemed to bond over fashion in particular. Jean herself is used to more princely attires, choosing pants or shorts at almost every occasion. Navia is the opposite. She dawns such delicate dresses and gloves. With s beautiful parasol to further accentuate her beauty and enthusiasm.
As much as Jean hated to admit, she wasn’t exactly concocting innocent plans. She toyed with the idea if just demanding you two go home, or making up a lie about her. Either way she wouldn’t stand to see you so friendly with her any longer.
So late one night she woke you up early than planned and decided to cancel all plans and take over for the planning of the day on a whim. You went along with it just wanting to her to be happy. But really it was a ploy to keep you away from Navia’s presence. She took you out to explore the countryside assuring you that Navia is probably busy herself and that you could always see her tomorrow.
But when tomorrow comes suddenly you two have to cut your trip sort because she miscalculated the return time and you wouldn’t get home in time unless you left now. She rushes you through it using her stress to make you focus more on comforting her than saying goodbye to your friend. You only manage to write a letter thanking her before you can leave. But on the ride back home on the Aqua bus Jean can’t help but smile as you lay on her shoulder. She looks at your ring finger admiring the ring, she decides she could you one more shinier just incase anyone else gets any ideas.
