Everything is just such a LOT rn.
Doing literally anything makes me just *too fucking tired*.
I increasingly feel I’m honestly just being unrealistic in ever expecting to larp again; I’ve played one larp and run one larp this year, and they were awesome, but they both left me absolutely too exhausted to do anything afterwards for about six weeks, and, from the feedback, it feels like some of the adaptations we made on the fly to accommodate the fact that I collapsed on the Saturday late afternoon negatively impacted the game for some players. Which is a thing; ofc; you make adaptations on the fly, you don’t know how a plot will land, you’ll bear this in mind for the next time, yadda yadda yadda. But it makes me feel even more intensely unreliable than I already do.
I had two more larps I was meant to go to, and I ended up cancelling them both; yes, one was covid, which could have happened to a healthy person, but the entire idea of going to larp just increasingly feels like something it’s unrealistic to expect when, frankly, *living* feels *too much*. I barely see anyone because doing *anything* knocks me out for days and being out of the house is *scary* because I never know when I’m suddenly going to have overdone it and will collapse. Every bit of “pushing through” I do when I’m starting to collapse puts hours and sometimes days onto the recovery time. And I don’t really get anything from lying down for an hour. When I’ve started to crash, that’s me for the *day* at the very least.
And then this fucking PIP consultation thing is *really* getting to me. I’m about a third of the way into doing the consultation and it’s honestly more than I can manage, really, and I don’t know how much of that is that it’s genuinely ridiculously over-complex and how much is fucking trauma, which *massively* impacts my spoon expenditure not only on the thing itself, but on everything else.
It’s just…I’m *barely* afloat. I’ve managed to do this entirely remote Masters, which I fucking *pray* I’ve managed to pass, and it’s broken me, tbh. This continual fucking theatre of cruelty that governments put disabled people through where we performatively have to jump through more and more hoops to get the absolute basics for survival, and those of us who fall along the way are dismissed as “faking” is *too fucking much*.
I’ve already abandoned trying to chase up medical aid that *might* help me because that’s what the NHS is like and I honestly can’t take the cumulative impact of that on my mental health. Every appointment I come away from having been dismissed and belittled and not helped impacts me for months, even on top of the physical and financial impact of travel and whatever else it has cost me, and I made the decision that I would rather risk not getting the increasingly tiny prospect of actual aid than have to keep dealing with that. And I *know* some people will decide that I’m “faking” or “it can’t be that bad” because of that, and I simply have to deal with that fact.
My life has dwindled to so very little. I spend probably an average of 20 hours of my day, every day, lying flat listening to podcasts and audiobooks. Some days it’s 24 hours; on *very good* days it’s 18 or 19. Sometimes I manage some writing or embroidery or playing games in that. And I’m *always* in pain. The painkillers *help*; they don’t get *rid* of it.
Is that a life *anyone* would envy? And yet it’s just not enough; if there’s *any* chance I might not be *miserable* enough in it, I need to be put through *more* performative misery in the name of “economic inactivity”?
And this is *before* we get to gender stuff. If they don’t want me dead because I’m disabled they want me dead because I’m trans.
And I don’t have the spoons to chase up referral to a gender clinic because of aforesaid medical trauma and I don’t have the spoons to explain nonbinary gender stuff and how it impacts how much I just want rid of these fucking tits and how shitty they make me feel, and deal with being gaslighted about am I *really* trans *enough* if I’m not a man either?

Dont you think its so funny that both SP and NH stans go out of their way and perform all sorts of mental gymnastics in an attempt to draw parallels between Kushina and Hinata?
First off, Kushina respects herself. She is hot headed, has no fears about expressing her inner thoughts and emotions and puts up with no BS from anyone. i see her as a noble character and she managed to make a huge impact during her appearance when Naruto first met her
Now lets look at hinata. She is shy, timid, almost invisible, has no goals and agencies besides Naruto on the brain 24/7. She is a bad wife and a mom.
Allow me to make this clear by giving you a scenario. Look at the scene where Naruto wasnt there for Himawari's birthday. He sends a clone instead, both hinata and Himawari are upset, Boruto wants to murder his dad. What does hinata do? As per usual, NOTHING! as a matter of fact, she is ok with her husband's lack of participation in his own family life. this is because she is selfish and rotten to the core as a character. She wanted naruto and after finally getting what she wants, she doesnt care about the rest of the world, even if they are her own kids. She'd rather let her on kids suffer for her own sake than stir the pot.
Now, if this was kushina who had to face what hinata did, she wouldve barged into the hokage office, grabbed her husband by his ears, smack his face and knock some sense into his head and perhaps might have even entered the kyuubi mode. Thats how canon Kushina is.
There can be no comparison between a diamond and a dusty pebble on a road left to the wind and weather. There are times when the SP went out of their way to portray that hyuga garbage as kushina but thank god for small things, its used as a comic relief, for shits and giggles and for other non serious moments. there can be NO comparison between Kushina and this waste of space called hinata hyuga

Yes, I’m fine and I hope you are too.
I find it ridiculous how some certains stans/shippers make parallels between characters who have nothing in common to prove a point. SP wanted to portray her more like Sasuke too (both the stans and SP want her to be what Sasuke is to Naruto).
Meanwhile Kishimoto doesn’t bother to make her relevant to the plot or to Naruto at best (he treated her like a normal comrade, she never was that special person), and seems to openly mock her character and her relationship with Naruto at worst. He can write women if he wants to, like he did with Kushina by giving her a personality, an interesting backstory and a ship that makes sense despite of the few screentime she got. Also Boruto isn’t real and I stand by that.

my childhood dog passed on when i was a teen. her name was jackie, and she had a white collar with a diamond bejeweled bone. the leather got worn down over the years but i still have the jeweled bone!! eventually i would like to get a copy of it tattooed + have the pendant remade into a bracelet or hair clip.
it's actually one of the only things i still have from my childhood! some things are just worth saving.

definitely eating for one. i don't know how you feel about fast food but it's not something i eat bc i worry about cross contamination (no meat outside of seafood for me) so it'd have to be either a picnic or convenience store snacks. totally painting each other's nails and talking about childhood comforts and fiction.

i did a roadtrip with an old coworker of mine. he moved out to idaho about a year and a half ago now, but we were good friends fast so we try to stay in contact. he had to drive back my way on his way to go see his parents so he stopped, picked me up, and then we went all the way up to NH together. it was a lot of fun. i really appreciate his calm way of going through life; he lived out of his van by choice for a few years straight out of hs and then saved up to buy a plot of land so he could start building his own place. he's like a strange cousin to me.

so many!!! memorizing lyrics is easy for me. i've been singing un puño de tierra by becky g (my girllllll) in the shower though lately. and while washing dishes. and driving. basically all the time. i rarely even play the song anymore since it's already so stuck in my head.
41. how do you take your coffee? (or other hot drink)
if i'm very tired i'll just drink regular old black coffee to wake up, no milk. for hot drinks i really prefer to have matcha or a bay leaf and cinnamon stick tea.
43. what’s your take on spicy foods?
i'm latina; if it's not spicy, i don't want it lol. i have been really into indian food recently actually and have been learning tons of new recipes bc they have such a large amount of vegan and vegetarian dishes that all have a kick to them. it's great.
46. favorite holiday film?
i'm a the nightmare before christmas girl all the way. one of my favorite films in general, even outside of the holiday category. i also like to watch the low budget horror films they come out with for holidays (mostly the halloween ones but the christmas ones are always pretty funny too).
