Is she closing in on Emily’s times, given that she is not suffering from A? She was also granted the power of swimming for one’s self last season, while now Emily is hyperfocused on the scout

The detail here is that Emily isn’t necessarily afraid of being caught. The offer A sent to Pam was conditional on Emily staying MVP and anchor. Slacking off and missing either role once would be enough for Emily to bullshit about not meeting the conditions.

But of course that is not how Emily’s mind operates. She is trying to make up for the guilt of lying to the parents by making herself worthy of every scholarship in the world

At the Montgomery dinner party, Aria volunteers to babysit for the couple who recently had a baby.

I buy that, Aria is the only one of the liars who would babysit and enjoy it. She’ll use the cash to buy more horrific feather earrings. 

When Alison says maybe she’s interesting in someone interested in field hockey, Spencer goes 🤔 but boys don’t play field hockey. Alison is talking about Ian but Spencer...honey...

Oh 14 year old car-hacking Caleb backstory that I have zero memory of. My main thought here is that we should all imagine said sad teen hacker Caleb getting adopted by the Leverage crew, they would be like oh we shall arrange a nice normal family for you and he’s like 😠I want to keep hacking with you guys Hardison has some cool shit

Spencer's so fucking frightened at her dad burning the hockey stick. She hates the idea of him thinking she killed Alison, she hates even more the idea of him thinking she planted it there to get attention (again), and she is now fully fixated on the answer being Jason! In the backyard! With the hockey stick! That her dad’s refusal to explain his animosity towards Jason or the burning of the stick crawls into her brain and sends it into a tizzy

Like haha did you think Spencer could get to have a normal time in her house now that Ian is out of the picture? Nope! 

Peter is also tipsy here, with mussed up hair and a loosened tie and my dude, did you brood in your house over the hockey stick for hours only to burn it right as your daughter appeared in the living room?

Aria is so laser focused on the Jenna/Garrett of it all that she does not notice at all Mike’s rant includes the phrase “I wanted a gun so I could get out of here.” Very scary phrase

Oh, also Ella and Byron suck for not sending all of their dinner guests out the door before leaving to get Mike, and instead have their teen daughter continue to host in this very awkward situation? Aria’s even the only one to verbalize it would very weird for Mike to come back to the house while guests are still there! 

Aria thinks of herself as the third adult of the Montgomery household but I’m scared that her parents think that too

Okay so which do you think Pam would disapprove of more? Emily living in the Marin house where she witnesses Tom/Ashley along with Hanna, or Emily living in the Montgomery house where their teen son was the one doing the local burglaries

i understand it's a teen drama so cheating is bound to happen but lorddd i was really hoping they wouldn't do that w/ noa cause i hate that bi stereotype. atp it's just bad writing bc why would she want to be w/ jen after all the batshit crazy things she's done ???

call me crazy but i Do Not think shawn punched that whole in the wall and even if he did i still don't trust jen (why would anyone 💀)

also were they expecting him not to react after noa's been cheating since JUVIE, all the lying and the stealing ???

hope i won't need to backtrack here (that'd suck) but why are ppl so obsessed w/ christian being evil/related to bloody rose somehow?? like besides being too obvious i really don't think they would do that to tabby again. also it feels jarring that ppl want to assume the black guy is the threat

i want more 1:1 moments between the girls!! the only dynamic that's been explored so far is tabogen (we got faran/imogen crumbs last week). praying for that in s3

is it me or are all of imogen & johnny's scenes just her trauma dumping myyy god. don't get me wrong i like them together but it just sends me, i also wish they'd explored the whole "player" trope a bit more it could've been interesting to see. i just don't know how believable it is to go from THAT to loverboy in the span of an episode but i guess we have the 8-episode season aspect to blame

faran and greg: where to even start. i saw this ship coming before the season even started and (hear me out) i do not think they'll be endgame. i personally don't hate greg (maybe it's just elias' charisma) but it feels very contradicting to the show's values to pair faran & greg together. still, it is a semi-realistic situation. i just hope they proceed with caution & are smart about whatever happens next. i do not want faran to be babysitting him into becoming a decent human being

just need to bring up the "my cousin kevin, who lives in riverdale" moment cause i was crying w laughter. this show is so unserious sometimes (shoutout kevin keller tho)

PLL 2x07 Review - As Per Anon Request

Between Hair's perpetually confused eyes and Emily's perpetually scrunched up trying to emote face, I'm tired.

It's funny how bad/not-great actors use shaking their head to try and muster up emotion.

some last minute thoughts (PLL Summer School finale edition)

Hey guys, I already made my big predictions post a couple of days ago. I just wanted to get a few final thoughts in before the finale tonight. Inevitably I know I'm gonna be wrong about a lot of stuff, but I'm hoping that in the midst of that somewhere, I have speculated about the correct thing. A lot of these following thoughts are either some really far fetched stuff that crossed my mind and I just want to mention I've thought it on the off chance it's correct, but some of these are things I just forgot to include in my original predictions post. This is my final post pre-finale (unless I'm answering asks), so see y'all on the other side!

*Spoilers for PLL Summer School 2x01-2x07 + some social media possible spoilers.

Some of the concept art features Tabby's image on TV screens. This is image is taken from season 1 when Tabby is sneaking into the boy's locker rooms. I always thought it was weird that they dropped this storyline, particularly given the major themes of sexual violence and consent on the show. I went back to make sure I was not forgetting anything, but as far as I can tell, Tabby's mom yells at her about this, but then Tabby tells her about her assault, the conversation shifts, and the videos are never brought up again. There is a scene shortly after this where Tabby deletes the videos, but I did notice that she puts them in the trash on her laptop, but does not empty the trash, then is interrupted by Tyler's father showing up at her house. So... those videos could definitely still exist somewhere. I wonder, considering the concept art, if this will be used against her.

Principal Clanton - honestly I thought I'd just missed something (did I miss something?) and maybe he was dead or something because the show only ever talks about Archie and not him, but is he still around?? is he just in jail?? IDK. I guess he's in jail?

Tom Beasley - It did occur to me that Sheriff Beasley could be another "surprise, they're not really dead!" character, because much like Chip, he had a believable reason to fake his death. And he also has a direct connection to the Waters family. However, he looks legit super fucking dead in the shots we get of his "death," so that feels cheap to me, so I hope it's not this.

Deaths - I forgot to include Wes on my list of "most likely characters to die, regardless of whether they're good or bad," which is a huge oversight, because I actually think he is the most likely to die out of everyone. I fully believe he is either in on the BR plot (so very likely to die), or being framed for the BR plot (also likely to die). Also Dr. Sullivan. Good or bad, I think her days may be numbered.

The love triangle - It just very much feels like we don't have the full picture of this. They spent too much time highlighting how often Jen lies and steals for that to be nothing, imo. They spent too much time intentionally making Shawn super sweet/supportive/oblivious to just have that be "but then he punched a wall, so now he's bad." I think one (or all) of these things has to happen to close out this arc- 1. Jen is "bad" in some way, whether she is actually a villain who targeted Noa and is working with BR or even if she does really love Noa, but was paid to get back in Noa's life for some reason, her having a big secret/betrayal would make a lot of sense. 2. Shawn is dying and they want the audience to care and for this to make Noa feel extremely guilty about what she did and what terms they were left on. 3. Shawn is "bad" in some way (seems less likely than it did earlier in the season, but not impossible) is seeking revenge against Noa and/or unwittingly sold her out at some point. 4. Shawn & Jen are both "bad" and have, for some reason we do not yet understand, been in on this thing together the whole time. Jen was constantly trying to undermine Noa and Shawn's relationship because the two of them see it as a "competition" of sorts, they have a weird rivalry/working relationship. This feels very far fetched and I would be legit very surprised if it happened, but it is about the only scenario (Jen and Shawn working together to manipulate Noa) where Noa comes out of everything looking like the most innocent party. 5. Noa dies in the finale (likely due to a betrayal by one of her love interests). Again, this doesn't seem likely, but since the show keeps teasing that there's going to be the biggest PLL death ever, that would certainly qualify. ANYWAY, I think at least one of those things, if not several, feels necessary to get some closure on this arc, because right now it just feels like an open ended disconnected mess.

THE BIG DEATH - Like I said, they keep teasing this big major death of a character that has been "in Millwood" since season 1 (the phrasing of which also feels like it could be intentionally misleading). The way they're hyping it up, it sounds like they want us to think it's one of the girls. I'm not sure they actually have the guts to do that, but we'll see. I'm not going to speculate too much on what they mean (I already talked about 'most likely deaths' and even about the off chance it could be Noa, if she's betrayed by a love interest), because honestly if it's for shock value or because an actor is moving on, it could be anyone. I think there are characters it makes less sense for than others, but IDK. I'm going to stick with my death predictions based off of their role in the story, not based off of shock value or social media hype.

Anyway, can't want to see how things play out!

Since I think the Charles is CeCe reveal is fake, I’m going to watch the show from the beginning and see what questions I have. (Any “answers” given in Game Over, Charles are irrelevant to me because I think they’re fake). All answers given in the show will be bolded with the episode it was answered in, in parenthesis. Just a warning this is going to be long hence the show has over 100 episodes. Also, I have a lot of -A related questions that have never been confirmed. Even during Mona’s reign as -A, some things just don’t add up. I know Marlene says that everything from season 1 and until the end of season 2 is Mona and season 3 starts a new -A, but like I said, some things don’t add up.

Pilot (1x01) Spencer heard someone scream ‘that night’, who was it? Why did the Montgomery’s leave Rosewood for a year? To get away from Rosewood after Alison went missing. (2x19) Did Ezra follow/know Aria was going to be at the Hollis Bar & Grill or was he there coincidentally? Why did Hanna roll her eyes when she waved to Aria in class? Who was the blonde in Maya’s (Alison’s) room? How did Hanna start off in the crowd looking at the chaos of Alison’s house when a body was found then ended up behind Spencer and Aria (behind the crowd)? What’s the “Jenna Thing”? Alison lit a firecracker in the Cavanaugh’s garage while Jenna and her step brother, Toby, were in it. The firecracker ended up blinding Jenna. Alison told the girls to keep it a secret and they let Toby take the blame for it. (1x02)

The Jenna Thing (1x02) Who was the older boy with a girlfriend that Alison was seeing the summer of her disappearance? Ian. (1x10) If Ezra didn’t want to be in a relationship with Aria based on the fact that it’s too dangerous, why did he want her to stay in his class? Why did Jenna come back to Rosewood High? Why is Wilden so insistent on finding out what happened on the night Alison disappeared? Who did Jenna send a text to?

To Kill a Mocking Girl (1x03) Why did Toby come back to Rosewood High? Why did Wilden really question Hanna alone? Why was Toby in the girls’ locker room when he saved Emily from Ben? Well, there you have it folks. PLL is over. Like I stated earlier, we can all basically say, “Mona did everything in the first two seasons, CeCe did everything in the 3rd-6th season and Archer Dunhill/Alex Drake/Mary Drake did everything in the last 2 seasons,” I still would like to know who did every single thing because even in season 2, Lucas gave Emily the massage, it was during Mona’s reign as -A but she still had help and I would like to know who helped the -A’s. This post took me a long time to make. I started it after the CeCe reveal and I finished it tonight while watching the finale. (Also sorry for any typos. I tried proof reading this like a million times, but hey nobody is perfect). Enjoy!
