NBC Sunset Beach (Aaron Spelling’s quickly-canceled 1997 attempt at a daytime soap) / NBC Hannibal.

It would actually be pretty awesome, as long as they allowed the main villain of Sunset Beach (evil businessman Gregory Richards) to continue to be as menacing as he was in the first season (before the directors told the actor to tone it the fuck down).

I would love to see Dr. Lecter give the evil Gregory and his tragic, perpetually drunk wife Olivia marriage counselling. That would be some fun television.

Even with the continued presence of the arguably greater evil of pre-directorial-neutering Gregory Richards, I’m pretty sure a lot of Sunset Beach residents’ lives would greatly improve, simply because Hannibal would probably just eat:

- the rich British dude who probably-definitely killed his first wife and/or is hiding her in the attic (?)

- the dude who stalked his ex from Kansas to California

- the woman who is inexplicably obsessed with a man who has the personality of wet bread, and who makes everyone else miserable about it

- the fuckboy jewel thief who impregnated his girlfriend’s mother

…leaving just about everyone else (except, possibly, Gregory’s unfortunate kids) a lot better off. 👍👍👍

…and while my personal fave / original supreme blorbo Annie Douglas is exceptionally rude, I think Dr. Lecter would spare her, because he seems to have a soft spot for clever redheads with loud wardrobes, even when they’re girlbossing microns from the sun.

Will Graham, meanwhile, would be just as miserable in an idyllic California town as he is in Totally-Not-Toronto, so I think it would be a lateral move for him.

…though, in the absence of the fuckboy jewel-thief, Will might end up being the target of Olivia Richards’ fumbling drunken advances. And the father of her accidental baby.

….and then Hannibal Lecter would be the one to kidnap Olivia’s baby; not because of some incomprehensible scheme to break up the Richards marriage, but just because it’s Will’s.

And then Annie would show up to steal the baby for incomprehensible-scheme reasons, and be like “Oh shit, my court-ordered psychiatrist is also a sociopath? Nifty.”

playing as a tabris warden and especially playing as a fem tabris warden is just a constant over and over gut punch. you're getting married but then you, your cousin, and several other women from your alienage are kidnapped during your wedding by the arl's son. you slaughter your way out of it to save your cousin and the other women, but there isn't a victory in it— you know there will be retribution for killing a palace full of guards and several nobles even though you were defending yourself and your kin. you're forced to leave your home and join the grey wardens without being given even a single night to recover. you know there will be a purge. you don't know if you'll ever see your family again.

you're taken to ostagar where you are the only woman amongst the grey wardens, and not only that, you are the only elf among them. you remember nessa, the girl in your alienage who was afraid of leaving because she feared what the soldiers would do to her after going so long without seeing a woman. your status as an elf and a woman are constantly remarked upon. you have no choice but to stay. you are fed darkspawn blood by duncan; the blood kills one man while he slaughters the other in front of you. you are supposed to feel grateful to have survived this.

and even later when you seek help from the dalish, what do you learn from zathrian? the same injustices that were inflicted upon you have been repeated over and over for centuries. what do you learn when you seek help from the mages? templars lurk in every corner, always watching, driving mages to the same violence you yourself committed. what do you learn in orzammar? to be a castless woman is to be not considered a person, who's only worth is the children she can bear for the same nobles who keep the castless subjugated. to be chosen by a noble is supposed to be an honor. why does this feel familiar?

AND THEN. what do you learn from the deep roads? darkspawn in all of their corruption are no different; you learn of the broodmothers. it is the same everywhere, no matter where you look. nothing changes. even your other party members, leliana and zevran, have their own stories. and you don't have another choice but to keep pushing on.

Jazz takes care of a de-aged Danny, and they lay low in Gotham. But just because Danny’s body is younger doesn’t mean his powers have lessened. In fact, they’ve only grown harder to control. Having the energy of a child makes containing his powers harder (just like when he first got them) until they realize that Danny’s powers are much easier to control when he can get rid of some of his excess energy. Jazz hears about a free gym open to all that is also meta-proof (more durable) from a wonderful woman at the library. (Lookin at you Babs)

The gym has a gigantic kids play area, along with classes for all ages and a training area complete with an American Gladiator style obstacle course for adults. Jazz will use the obstacle course sometimes when her boss has fully ticked her off. Stephanie and Cass volunteer there whenever they can. Jason always sends the alley kids there too because it’s close by and a safe place. Dick leads a class there whenever he can.

Dick actually holds the record for the obstacle course. Until Jazz gives it a go after a particularly trying day. She doesn’t realize there’s a record. She never would have used the course if she’d known. Training with Pandora and Fright Knight gave her plenty of advantages with how she can use her liminality and she definitely doesn’t need to stand out.

But again, she doesn’t know there’s a record. Or that someone saw her going repeatedly through the course (Stephanie) and decided to time her on her next go. (She doesn’t film without permission because she’s respectful of boundaries like that) She does post Jazz’s time in the Batfam group chat to take Dick down a couple notches though.

Or someone else (not Batfam, just a random citizen) takes a video of her doing the course and posts it on the internet and now they (Jazz and Danny) have to stay one step ahead of Vlad, the Batfam, their parents, and avoid the GIW. How hard can it be?

THERE'S SO MANY CRYING PEOPLE IN STORY CARDS LATELY!!! SPECIALLY LIGHT USERS!! I AM!!! SCARED!!!! bc so far we got Lilia and Sebek in the beginning book 7.... so at the end.... so we're missing story Silver... and Malleus is the one with less cards, so they might add one for him... but... the tears... ego.... YES I am ALSO like...90-95% convinced that we're going to be getting a story card for Silver once we wrap around back to diasomnia. 👀 especially because the way things are going, Silver will be the only character whose dream we haven't seen -- yet???? -- and that just. y'know. makes me wonder!

although I do think it would be VERY funny if he got a story card and the groovy was just "regular Silver except with one beautiful single crystal tear". this is actually a lot coming from him.

(he used up all his emotion yelling at a baby that one time, there's none left for a proper groovy-level cry.)
