I am once again looking for a post that I cannot, for the life of me, find. It was Danny/Dick (I forgot the ship name. Death defying? Maybe? Someone tell me please). Anyway, Danny and Dick had been dating for a while, but Dick hadn't told Danny that he's Nightwing, and Danny doesn't know, all the while Dick continuously misses dates, comes back late at night with no explanation, and is generally not a very good boyfriend. Danny is getting depressed. This all comes to a head on their anniversary. Dick goes to work, and Danny spends all day cooking their favorite foods, but Dick gets sidetracked by some vigilante business and never shows up to dinner. So, Danny packs his things, leaves Dick a note and the bracelet Dick gave him, and leaves. Dick comes home a bit later to find the note and bracelet. I think that in some reblogs it went into the headcanon that ghosts get more emotionally attached, so Dick's behavior actually cracked Danny's core (very bad). Danny moves away and blocks Dick, Dick never manages to get back in touch with and apologize to Danny, and I think that Danny gets with Roy or someone else. Dani posts pictures of Danny and the New Boyfriend online and talks about how much happier her brother is without his scumbag ex.

Anyway I would be ecstatic to read this again, so if anyone can find it, I shall award one (1) drawing of a beetle. The finder can specify the type of beetle, or get a randomly selected species. Thank you all!

i know it's normalized, i know people will pressure you to do all sorts of things, and i know it feels like you have to do it all to prove something. but for the love of God please don't. i really don't mean to pull the "you're too young to understand card" bc i'm not much older than you at all, but your brain isn't experienced enough to rationalize consequences of substances and intimacy, especially if you're not educated on it.

you can put yourself in some seriously dangerous situations this way. it's not worth it. once you're an adult and you've educated yourself, you can do anything you want. just be safe. you're not an exception-- you too can accidentally get pregnant or get an incurable STD or drunk drive or green out.

again, i know all of it sounds fun, but people around you can and will be stupid and disregard your safety. so take care of yourself and focus on things that make YOU happy. focus on new hobbies and skills and build on those. learn something new. trust me, you're infinitely cooler if you have a hobby and stay out of trouble.

you're not an exception, so don't be a statistic. stay safe.

I've had some time to collect my thoughts after a couple of days so here they are even though nobody asked.

I really loved the finale. It was devestating, no doubt, but I think this is their best one yet and I absolutely loved how they handled it. There was so much grieving in this episode, not just from Carlos, but from Owen and Judd as well. But despite everything they chose happiness and the wedding ending up being beautiful and bittersweet and joyful all at once.

There has been the question of deleted scenes but there's really only one we've seen so far that I would have loved to see in the episode. Other than that, I'm just glad we get to have them all as extras. I don't think the wedding needed them though.

Another thing I'd like to add is that yes, sometimes storylines can feel rushed in shows where you have a lot of characters and especially if there are clear favorites within a fandom. There was a lot going on, but that doesn't necessarily mean any one character's storyline is less valuable than another's. I guess I'm speaking as less of a fandom member and just more as an enjoyer of the show if that makes any sense. I love all of the characters in this show, and while I would be lying if I said I liked every single storyline, that doesn't mean I wish they didn't happen. In this case, however, I loved all of the storylines and I think they all made sense together given the theme of this episode. I personally don't think any of them shouldn't have been there in favor of getting more wedding content.

Honestly, my only regret is not getting off of tumblr as soon as the final bts stuff started coming out. I'm pretty bad when it comes to guessing things so if I hadn't been aware of the theories I literally would have had no idea and it would have hit me so much harder. It still got me pretty good though.

Again these are just my opinions so feel free to ignore everything I say if you didn't feel the same. I'm happy though, and I'm going to continue being incredibly annoying about this show. ♡

i'm not super sure if it'll help; but I used to swear by home-made swamp coolers.

I'd take a fan and set it (safely) so that the air blows over an ice pack or some frozen rice and it'd help cool things down some.

Also! it sounds kinda silly, but wet hair was always a god-send when it got hot. I know that letting your hair air dry isn't fun for some folks, but it made sleeping in the summer a lot easier when i was little.

For all of the northerners that stood up for Texas during our freeze and said, "Don't make fun of them, they've never dealt with this before. Their infrastructure isn't made for snow and freezing."

This one is for you.

Where I live 108°F with 80% humidity with no wind is normal.

Pacific North West is dealing historic best waves 35-40°C or 95-105°F.

First of all. Don't make fun of them for bitching about the heat. Just like Texas isn't built for a freeze and our pipes burst, Pacific North West isn't built for heat and a lot of their homes don't have AC.

If you live somewhere with a high humidity like 80+ HUMIDITY IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. The "humidity makes it feel cooler" is a lie once it gets beyond a point.

If you live somewhere with a lower humidity, misters are nice to cool off outside.

Once you get over 90°F (32°C) a fan will not help you. It's just pushing around hot air. (I mean if you can't afford a small AC unit because they're expensive as hell, by all means a fan is better than nothing).

If you have pets, those portable AC units aren't safe. If your pets destroy the outtake thing, it'll leak CO2. Window units are safer.

Window AC units will let mosquitoes or other small bugs in. Sucks, but that's life.

Now is not the time to me modest. If you have to cover for religious reasons, by all means. If you don't, I've seen people wear short shorts and a swim top. It's not trashy if it keeps you from getting heat stroke.

If you do have to cover up for religious reasons, look for elephant pants or something similar. They're made with a breathable material.

Shade is better than no shade, but that shit it just diet sun after some point. Don't think shade will save you from heat stroke.

I know the "drink your water" is a fun meme now, but if you're sweating excessively you need electrolytes. Drink Gatorade, Powerade, or Pedialite PLEASE. I don't care if you're fucking sitting in one spot all day. That shit WILL save you from heat stroke.

Most importantly. RESEARCH THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEAT STROKE AND HEAT EXHAUSTION PLEASE!

If you're diabetic and can't drink Gatorade, mix water, fruit juice, and either lite salt or pink salt

If you can afford it, cover windows with thick curtains to insulate the house

If you have tile floors, lay on them with skin to tile contact. If you don't, laying your head on cool counters works too.

If the temperature where you're at is hotter than your body temperature, don't wear heat wicking clothing. Moisture wicking is safe though.

Check your medication labels. Many make you more susceptible to sun and heat

-Room temperature water will get into your body faster. This is something I learned doing marching band in high summer in Georgia, and it saved all of our asses. Sip it, don't gulp it, especially if you're getting into the red; same goes for whatever fluid you're drinking. And just in general drink during the day.

-If you are moving from an air conditioned space to an un-air conditioned space, if at all possible try to make the shift gradual. When my dad and I were working outside and in un-ac houses a few years ago, he'd turn the air down to low in the truck about ten-fifteen minutes before we got where we were going. This way your body doesn't go from low low temps to high temps. S'bad for you.

-If you can, keep your lights off during the day. Light bulbs may not generate a lot of heat, but the difference is noticeable when it gets hot enough. I literally only turn my bedroom light on in the evening when it gets too dark.

Don't be afraid to just like... pour water on yourself if you need to. The evaporation will cool you off.

Put your hand to the cement for 15 seconds. If you can't handle the heat, it'll burn your dog's paws. Don't let them walk on it.

Dogs with flat faces are more prone to heat stroke. Don't leave them out unsupervised.

Frozen fruit is delicious in water.

Wet/Cold hat/handkerchief on your head/neck will help you stay cool.

Pickle juice is great for electrolytes! You can even make pickle juice Popsicles!

Heat exhaustion is more, "drink water and get you cooled off." Heat stroke is more "Oh my god call 911."
