A friend recently introduced me to Music League, and I thought it would be a fun way to collectively make a MEGA-PLAYLIST as a countdown to Wind and Truth.

Here's how it works:

Signing up for the site requires a Spotify account. Please note that your Spotify username will be visible to all other players and will be used in chat, so make sure this is something you are comfortable with!

Everyone submits one song per theme. Once everyone has submitted, the site generates a playlist of songs for that theme, and we get to listen!

Vote for your favorites, and once all the votes are in, see which songs were most loved. You have the option to add comments with your votes, too.

I have this set up with one theme per week, with song submissions ending Saturdays, until the book comes out. Right now it is as big as possible (up to 100 participants allowed) and everyone gets 25 upvotes per round. 8.) Q - What program/tablet/brush do you use?

A - I use multiple programs! Mainly procreate for a lot of the things I post, with that I use an Apple Pencil (1st gen) and a 9th gen iPad. For the brush, I usually use the teyoid lineart brush that I got off Pinterest, and the hard round brush for shading and coloring. I also use CSP (Clip Studio Paint), especially when I draw on PC, with a pc I use a Gaomon PD1161 . And for the brushes, I mostly use this peachy’s somewhat dry ink brush for lineart, and then the default g-pen for coloring/shading.

9.) Q - do you have other social medias/where can I find you?

A - I do! I have a plethora of other socials, you can find me almost anywhere under Toucan Drawz, Toucan_Drawz, or anything along those lines! I don’t have specific links, since, well, I think I have too many socials to count. But I’m most active on tumblr out of all the socials medias that aren’t basically a messaging app (looking at you, discord).

10.) Q - Can i recreate your art?

A - No, please don’t. My art is very dear to me, and I don’t want it recreated. Imo recreation is different to tracing (in a learning environment) or heavily referencing, because it’s basically just remaking something, but changing it a little or not changing it at all. Even if it’s with a different medium, it makes me uncomfortable. Using the same pose/scene idea is absolutely okay! And if my art makes you feel inspired enough to want to, I’m glad! :D But please, do not recreate my art.

The problem with this is, what we know of the Color Revolt in the original book, is all what the Configurationists approved and wrote themselves. It's all propaganda. They won, so now they get to tell the story, and no one can contradict them or question the so-called facts.

And since this film decided it's happening all at the same time so that they don't have to have A. Square be the narrator, instead of him simply repeating the story he was told, now all the stuff with Chromatistes that the Configurationists want people to spread is just treated as absolute fact.

When we don't know the facts. All we know is the propaganda the Configurationists wrote down and allowed to be taught in schools generations afterward.

And considering all the other things the narrator was told, and repeats without question, that we are very clearly meant to question, taking the information about Chromatistes at face value and assuming the Configurationists are telling the true story, sort of misses the point of the book...

Between the changes in site structure and culture, the endless moderation issues, and the vocally pro-israel CEO I just don't really have the motivation to be here as often, or feel that I'm getting what I want to out of this site the way I used to. This Blog was made out of a Fixation i have had for multiple years now and has spawned out of a Google Doc by the same name. As you may guess, that doc was used to document the amount of Mpreg fics in a fandom on Ao3. It was a weird way to rank fandoms and it was fun to me.

The Name of this Blog is a Play on the title of Popular Horror podcast “the Magnus Archives”.

Additional observations of tumblr's own content filtering:

-if you add a username to a filter, posts that contain a link to a different post that contains that username will get filtered. It is absolutely ridiculous and I sent a support ticket about it, and the reply I got was "no we want it to work like that." So if someone is sharing a link to a post by a terf for example, the post with the link will get filtered if you have that terf's username on your filter list.

-posts that do not contain the tag you are filtering will get filtered if other people have tagged it with a tag you are filtering. So for example if someone makes a post that says "I love blorbos with glasses" and some other asshole tags it as "harry potter" the post will get filtered if you have "harry potter" on your tag filter list – even thought the post itself nor the reblog by the person you follow mentions "harry potter." This is also fucking ridiculous. I have opened filtered "harry potter" posts by beloved mutuals in astonishment at the idea that they are posting harry potter only to find that no, they did in fact not reblog a post that included the term harry potter on any level.

So yeah, don't get rid of tumblr saviour just yet, tumblr's built in filter is not very user-friendly. Like once you learn that you can't trust the filter to actually only hide things you don't want to see, there will be a time when you will open a filtered post and it actually is the shit you don't want to see. :/

Please send support tickets when you notice the filtering being fucked up, they need to tune this thing better and the more feedback from various people the better. (Include screenshots of and links to the filtered posts that shouldn't have been filtered.)

East Asian fanartists are starting to migrate back to Tumblr because Twitter is insane, toxic, and dying, and what we're NOT going to do is let the fucking exclusionists get them, do you hear me? We are not going to let a bunch of feral idiots try to apply the most myopic version of puritanism to foreign artists we're not we're not we're not. Form an armed brigade if you have to, do you hear me. We're not going to bully the artists who may or may not even speak English because we have our precious standards of moral purity. If we see art that makes us uncomfy we're going to block the artist and tumblr savior their name so we don't have to see them again AND WE'RE GONNA MOVE THE FUCK ON.
