Do you have any favorite naruto fics you’d recommend? Any pairing, complete or not, on-hiatus, gen, oneshots, anything is fine lol
I was legitimately just pruning my bookmarks the other day!! thank you so much for asking.
I don't read too much fanfic these days, and I'm picky when I do--only about grammar/punctuation and immersion though. I ship a LOT of stuff (I guess The Youth would call me a proshipper) and although I never read darkfic, I don't shy away from weirder kinks and unhealthy relationship stuff.
categorizing by pairing, if applicable. some of them are smutty, and please note that the first 3 come from FFN which doesn't have a tagging system, but there is some SA CW I'll give in advance.
KAKASAKU | my first OTP! formative fics that totally reshaped my understanding of what fanfiction could be, and how well-written chemistry can make it or break it
HOUSE OF CROWS is the quintessential kakasaku fanfic. it was written during shippuden and so is canon divergent because of that, but also tells a comprehensive story of its own right that is intriguing and well planned. excellent characterization and world building. leaves me gutted in the best way on my yearly reread.
DUTY BEFORE HONOR is another silvershine classic. I don't reread is as often as House of Crows but they are just about equal in quality. again, the chemistry between them is off the charts, and the world feels so alive.
WILL OF FIRE for me is up there with House of Crows in being essential kakasaku reading. cynchick is a multisaku champion and a wonderful storyteller. the stakes in this one are stressful, the romance tense and believable, and we once again get lovely world building and great chemistry.
ITAKISA | a pairing near and dear to me, because men who do everything wrong are so deeply relatable. they both know they don't deserve anything good ever again but they found each other!!!! ARE YOU GUYS SEEING THIS--
A SHARK HIDDEN INN THE LEAVES doesn't have my favorite version of Kisame, but he's plenty close enough. it's a lengthy oneshot that got me into certain *ahem* kinks. it is a very fun and wild fic that is entirely self-aware of how absurd it's being, and manages to have nothing but sincerity at the same time (and I highly recommend the author's other stories as well)
AN ORCHESTRA PLAYING ON, INSANE is a modern AU (extremely rare in my bookmarks) that absolutely tore my heart out. god is it SO much to ask for these losers to be happy?! yes, it is, and I love every moment of it
MADAMITO | a rarepair I am SUCH a sucker for that has some of the most talented authors writing for it. lots of them have ot3 elements between them and hashirama, often angsty, but stuff like that is part of the appeal for me, lol
A HANDFUL OF SKY is an unfinished fic that I genuinely think about like once a week. if it ever updates then I will be over the moon. technically hashimadamito but it hadn't quite gotten there yet
LIKE ALTARS is just such a beautiful piece of writing, mostly on madara. it is everything, that is all
BLOOD AND RIVER WATER is more mito-centric but has one of my favorite madaras of all time
YOURS ARE RATTLED BONES is another short, mito-centric but gut-wrenching piece featuring the opposite type of madara from the last one
OTHER | character-centric stuff that isn't necessarily shippy but also doesn't have a very "gen" vibe either?
A SERPENT IN THE RICE is a little series about orochimaru that makes me feel so so so many things. highly recommended
HERETIC is such a love letter to kushina, and kurama too. cannot stress enough how much I adore this one
there's a few others that I probably won't link on tumblr, mostly unhealthy and/or "problematic" smut hhfhdj but maybe I'll make a public rec list on ao3 for these different categories and stuff like that.
but yeah that's pretty much it!!! I know it's not a huge list with a lot of variety but it's what I've enjoyed over the last 15+ years in the naruto fandom.
#user728299292#kakasaku#kisaita#madamito#I am SOOOO hesitant to tag all this stuff because I know how divisive kksk is. but sakura has been a grown adult in canon for 10 years now#so yknow. here I am. tagging kksk out in the open!!#also sorry I know I've been writing a lot of madasaku lately but I really don't read it at all...same with itasaku. mostly because those 2#have a really specific vibe that I prefer to read with them. that other people just don't typically have...so I wrote them how I wanted LMA#I'm so incredibly choosy with characterization and prose. it's gotta 'feel' right. I gotta feel like I'm stepping into another world#and ask literally anyone in my life...the dialogue CANNOT be bad#and my bar for bad is pretty high admittedly LMAO like ask ANYONE in my life...and this applies to movies tv shows books and fanfic#if the dialogue is trash I will DNF that shit soooo fast regardless of how interesting I found the premise/summary#ok ok I think that's all ENJOY!!!!#asks

20 questions for fic writers
Thanks very much to @nocompromise-noregrets for the tag! This is always an interesting exercise and I haven't done it in a while.
1. How many works do you have on Ao3? 182, but a goodly subset of those are collections of very short works (drabbles, my beloveds!).
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 137,372. I average around 700 words per ficlet (counting those that are collections of drabbles). I have only two works over 2,000 words -- one at barely 2,100 and one at 5,600 by dint of TRSB last summer.
3. What fandoms do you write for? Tolkien only. Mostly Silmarillion but occasionally Lord of the Rings, as well.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos? I'm splitting this by fandom because the older LoTR stuff has more kudos simply as a function of time.
For LoTR: Deep in the Ancient Forests of the World; Light a Little Fire in Me; I Do Not Grudge You the Game; Rash Words and Bitter Hopes; Sing, O Stone and Air. These are all Legolas/Gimli ficlets.
For Silm: When All Other Lights Go Out (the aforementioned TRSB Feanorian family drama); What We Make, Makes Us (Caranthir and Feanor); What Keeps Us Here (Celeborn and Thranduil); Still Plenty of Good in the World (Sam Gamgee fixes Feanor and Nerdanel); and It Is the Opinion of this Reviewer (Finrod critiques the research of his peers).
No method to the madness here, it seems. Some shippy, most not. Some angsty, some humorous, mostly canon compliant. Range of Silm characters. Interesting to see the variety, actually.
5. Do you respond to comments? Always. Usually within a few days. Comments are a great way to get to know other people in the fandom, and it's always a pleasure to see familiar names pop up. It's nice to know I have a bit of a following. But I also love seeing new people appear, and I welcome everything from a single emoji to a full blown rant. I reply to them all.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Only one? Impossible to choose. I love an angsty ending. Killing Fingon off is always a delight (like this, or this). Sending people off to their dooms (like this, or this) is another. Making them consider might-have-beens, too (like this, or this, or this).
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I do also like happy endings! I write many happy post-canon returns, to tie up all the loose ends. Also happy moments within canon, but you usually have to pretend you don't know what comes next (blame the Professor, not me). For LoTR, These Our Braided Lives has a very happy Gimleaf ending. For Silm, try In These Altered States, Rejoice.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Spitting over my shoulder on this one, but no. Even the people who don't agree with my takes on particular characters have always been polite. Thank you, kind readers!
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I don't write anything explicit. I'll read a wide variety but am more restrained in my writing. I've snuck a little bit into the mature range for a few things recently, but I prefer allusion and metaphor, really. It's the spirit of the intimacy that interests me, not so much the mechanics.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Nope. Canon compliant or canon adjacent always.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, I've had a few requests. My Thranduil seems to be quite popular in other languages.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? I haven't but would be happy to explore the possibility.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship? Can't pick just one. Legolas/Gimli, Glorfindel/Ecthelion, Maedhros/Fingon, Finrod/Edrahil. The much rarer Egalmoth/Rog. And I'm pleased to have originated the tag for Amrod/Aredhel. Spitfire fans, get on that! (thanks to chestnut_pod for the horrible, wonderful ship name)
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Not a WIP, even, just an idea that I've mentioned before: an AU in which Fingon, returning from Thangorodrim with Maedhros, can't hold onto him, and he falls from the eagle's back into Lake Mithrim. I won't write it, but I sure hope someone else will.
16. What are your writing strengths? Brevity, ha! Condensing a great deal of emotional development into very few words. Figurative language. Ripping your heart out and stomping on it, tidily.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Dialogue. I don't write much of it, and it takes a long time to get it right.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I'm not likely to do so. I don't like the way it interrupts the flow. I'd rather indicate the language that is being spoken than try to craft compelling dialogue in it. This is especially fraught in the Tolkien fandoms, where the linguists WILL come for you if you get it wrong, lol!
19. First fandom you wrote for? LoTR. I've only been doing this for a couple of years.
20. Favourite fic you’ve written? Impossible to choose! But my comfort series is The Flower and the Fountain: 16,000 words of Glorfindel and Ecthelion in 32 vignettes. I love those guys.
Thank you so much for the tag! @polutrope @eilinelsghost @melestasflight @tathrin @thelordofgifs @zealouswerewolfcollector, what about you? And anyone else who'd like to share, hop in!

I adore your fics and have been feverishly devouring them for years, but I was catching up and was SO confused by these tags at all, but especially in a non-time travel fic (I saw it in the tags for a couple of others):
'Parental Rex CT-7567 | Rex and Anakin Skywalker Adopt Ahsoka Tano, i will make that an official tag even if i have to write a bazillion fics to do so lol'
I just...please help me out lol. Even in a time travel fic, the traveller is generally visiting the clone wars era, not prior to the clone wars. Why would two men in their early twenties adopt or need to adopt a 15-17 year old and why would she want that? (Since a lot of fics are season 3-5 and she was 15 by season three and 17 when she left the order, or even ROTS era when shes on the cusp of adulthood)
Rex doesn't have a parental relationship with Ahsoka and was the biologically the same age as Anakin on Christophsis, despite the questionable choice to visually depict 18-26 year old young men as 45+, seeing as they age at twice the rate but canonically leave Kamino physically twice the age of ten, or even younger as the war continues like we saw with Domino squad being deployed early, making some clones the equivalent of being in their late teens.
Plo Koon had a very parental relationship with Ahsoka, which is a clear contrast to her working relationship with Rex and eventual close friendship.
Sorry, I'm just so confused! In a modern universe, it would be like a high school student working at McDonald's having a father-daughter relationship with their college night manager, which would be so inappropriate 😅
Anakin is her older brother-mentor and Rex is her equal, which is made so clear in season seven and they weren't close prior to that and them being close at all seemed to be a retcon.
Is it meant to be lowkey Rexwalker shippy? Am I missing something?
This isn't meant to be rude at all, I just don't understand it, so hopefully you won't mind answering 😅
Anakin might have been very close in age to Ahsoka, but he was still her master, and that in and of itself is a very parental role. He protected/took care of her during the war and taught her everything she needed to survive, in a way that a parent would. That’s especially clear after seeing the flashbacks in the Ahsoka series. They might be too close in age to call them anything but siblings, but they’re also far more than just siblings because Anakin is still her caretaker and she’s his responsibility.
For Rex, it wasn’t really until seeing Tales of the Jedi, that made us realize how much Rex helped Anakin with training Ahsoka. Rex was like Anakin’s first friend since TPM (excluding Padme) and also based on the 7th Season, they obviously supported each other a lot in everything they did. So no, definitely no Rexwalker shipping, but a very close brotherly bond, so they both helped “raise” Ahsoka together, even if Rex is also so close in age to Ahsoka. (Technically, younger.)
I used to consider Plo as Ahsoka’s parent, but looking back, he’s really not. They might be close and he might be a mentor to her but he’s **not** a parent. If he was, he wouldn’t have just told Anakin to stop searching for her in the Padawan Lost arc, because she’s “responsible enough” to “find her way back to him”. Like come on. That’s not what you say about your child. Ever.
Anakin is the one who always worried over Ahsoka and protected her, and looked out for her. That’s why we consider him a parental figure to her. And Rex is just along for the ride.
Does that make sense? :)
And thanks for the ask!!! :D

For the couple questions please:
3. What's their favorite thing to tease each other about?
6. Do they have pet names for each other? Do they like them?
18. Do they believe in marriage?
Hi @rosapexa - thank you so much for asking about my ship (I think you have one hell of an interesting ship with such a strong dynamic, and I am curious about them too)! Question no 3 was asked a couple of times - y'all like some teasing, it seems?!? Not judging, just OBSERVING, ok? 👀
I am tagging you @wanderingaldecaldo bc you said you wanted to ask more questions and restrained yourself to 3 😁
I also don't have a shippy post for today, so this is perfect and maybe I'll get around to another ask!
So here goes.
3. What's their favorite thing to tease each other about?
Control. They are constantly teasing each other about being or not being in control.
He always tells her that she likes to be a controlling bish, and she tells him that he actually likes being told what to do. (They are both right)
In the bedroom? They switch dynamic. Just so you know. 👀
6. Do they have pet names for each other? Do they like them?
I'll start with Macha first. She calls him "Cubs" because she is older (by 6 years), and they talked about her being his cougar, which she thinks is hilarious. He likes being her cub and also being called that. She sometimes calls him boo bc she likes the sound of that, and he likes that as well. And if she wants something from him or wants to flatter him, she calls him "my king" and he's ALL OVER THAT.
He calls her "Kitten" mostly - she reminds him of a kitten bc she is playful and cute and has no idea how sharp her claws are and that they can hurt. She loves being called that, it makes her feel special. He calls most other women "dollface" and that's what he called her until she got upgraded to his Kitten. He also calls her princess from time to time and she pretends to not like it but then she always has those lyrics in her head from that Alanis Morisette song and she gets all giddy and she doesn't really object (they go " you treat me like Im a princess, I'm not used to liking that")
17. Do they believe in marriage?
Since you wrote that one out, even though it has another number, I will answer this one.
Vinnie has never considered marriage and has no concept of what that even entails. Macha does not believe in marriage because she knows it doesn't change the dynamic of the relationship to the better usually. She does, however, like Vinnies last name. So... who knows, what's going to happen? Vinnie, as we know by now, would do anything if she asked nicely and called him king.

Getting to Know You
(Or for some of us, a check-in on the status quo!) Tagged by @ohtobealady -- thank you darling wifey! <3
Rules: Tag 10 people you want to know better!
Favorite time of the year:
Traditionally I grow more powerful feel more like myself in autumn, but the past couple of years I have a new appreciation for spring. Winter comes close just because frankly it's more comfortable down here.
Comfort foods:
Can't go wrong with a warm meat in gravy with a starch: pasta, stews, savory pies, risotto (in a way), (lately) curries... But I also have a sweet tooth so pastries and cobblers are also up there. At a simpler level, I enjoy warm buttered bread with honey.
Do you collect anything?
I'm a collector by nature and have been my whole life, probably a trait from my mother. My collections are currently tempered by space (and not wanting to inundate the house I share with my Darling Viking more than I already have!) and money, but a few: Japanese porcelain, antique Blue Willow china, a specific pattern of Noritake Morimura, gemstones and minerals, fossils and other natural specimens (responsibly-sourced when not personally found) such as feathers, scarves, perfumes, antiques in general...
Favorite drink?
Probably very boring but I really do love water. I'm also very partial, currently, to my extra-hot caramel macchiato.
Favorite music artists:
I tend to gravitate more toward songs than individual artists, but some coincidental favorites to that end: Thomas Newman, Breaking Benjamin, The Goo Goo Dolls, Ludivico Einaudi, Simon & Garkfunkel, Hiroyuki Sawano, Linkin Park, Michelle Branch, Sash!, Yoko Kanno...
Current favorite songs:
'Midnight Moon' by Eydís Evensen ft. GDRN thanks to a concert by the pianist linked by @karrova; 'Age of Men' by Jo Wandrini because it gives me certain shippy feelz for my novel; 'Firedancer' by Rúnfell because I'm on a Valheim kick recently and it helps keep me motivated for my latest build project; 'Notorious' by Bonnie Grace for more novel work; and 'Dead Man Walking' by Jelly Roll for an added surprise, simply because it's catchy. I should also add that I'm really into Japanese-themed lo-fi lately because it helps me concentrate on my state projects.
Favorite fics:
I'll admit I don't really read much fic presently for various reasons, with the exception of my inherent bias toward @ohtobealady's ouvre, but I have immense respect for all the tireless work everyone in the Downton fandom does. I may be just a satellite to that dreamworld but y'all are amazing from out here.
I'm tagging: @aryasnow, @yelena-belxva, @elegant-moonlight, @plumcoloredblazer, @of-dahlias-gloom, @karrova, @malglories, @oftwodarkmoons, @webedragons, @insomniarama But only if you feel like it, lovelies!

Baroness' General Writing Tips, Part II
Part I Here's Part II of my general writing tips I've started to compile of little (and big) things I've learnt over the 20+ years I've been compulsively recreationally putting one word in front of the other; I hope it's helpful or at least reassuring!
While much of this is slanted toward fiction, a lot of it applies to nonfiction as well. I've also gone for more general tips this go round. You're welcome to pick my brain about specific topics and I'll do my best to answer.
Again, the key thing to remember is that this is what I have personally found helpful; they may have more or less degrees of usefulness or relevance to you personally, but they can still serve as starting points.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(12) Remember that your goal is a read-worthy narrative, not a product.
Not everything you write has to be published to be considered valid. Hell, not everything you write has to see the light of day. Your writing is for you. IMO it verges on a spiritual need and whatever actualization of it brings you joy is good and right. Don't let capitalism fool you into thinking all that matters is profitability and never let any kind of numbers dictate your self-worth or smother your creative spark.
(13) Embrace whatever keeps the flow going.
Placeholders are your friends. Write the ending first or start in the middle. Write a scene as a skeletal script to fill in later. Whatever gets the job done.
(14) If you need an outline, make one. If you don't, don't...
There's a lot of documented discussion about 'types' of writer -- you may hear terms like 'gardener' versus 'architect' or the like. Don't feel like you have to fall into one category only or remain the same for the rest of your life. You may find it helpful to do in-depth planning before you even get started, or you may prefer to wing it.
I also find that different projects require different approaches, and that actually the same project can require different approaches at different stages of development. The key thing is that your skills are going to carry over regardless the more you practice them.
(15) ...but keep notes for longer projects.
However, I heartily recommend keeping notes in some shape or form -- the more organized the better -- to help with consistency in longer projects. This will save you time and frustration, trust me.
(16) Keep a writing journal/workbook.
Writing is a mental muscle and part of exercising it is in changing how you process the world. Having a journal or workbook of some kind to jot down ideas for titles, character names, new projects, scene or dialogue snippets, and so on helps your brain learn to transform raw inspiration into new narrative, making it easier to get to work when you have time to sit down and actually write.
And no, you don't need fancy writing software or expensive notebooks. There is no 'doing this properly'. If it brings you joy to have an exceedingly organized writing journal bound in Italian leather, great, as long as you don't spend more time color-coding than you do writing.
(17) Find first readers you trust...
Not everyone has access to a writing group, but at some point you will need to find your first reader. Although I recommend finding one or two people to read your first draft, they can come in at the second, third, or final draft.
At some point you've stared at the project too long and you will be biased, no matter how trained of an editor you are. Fresh eyes will help spot both big plot holes and tiny typos. Find people you trust to give you balanced criticism, rather than just fluff your feathers.
(18) ...but limit access to drafts.
Too many cooks spoil the broth. If you involve too many readers at the drafting stage, you risk losing your own instincts or saturating the work trying to make everyone happy. It can simply lengthen the writing process unnecessarily, too.
Also, remember that some of these early-stage first readers may have been better suited as finished-work first readers; a first draft may put them off from reading the end result, however much it's changed and however much they love you. Curbing your enthusiasm now may yield greater rewards later, in other words.
(19) Remember to look after your physical wellbeing.
It's tempting to romanticize the writer who shuts themselves away in an attic for a week and doesn't eat or sleep until they emerge with a polished draft -- don't do it. Look after your posture, eyes, hungers, and thirsts. Get sleep. Move around frequently. Go outside. Check in with loved ones.
(20) Self knowledge is power...
Find what environment facilitates your best work. For me it's typically isolation, appropriate music, and evenings. Also note this may differ between when you want to write and when you need to edit. Equally, find what inhibits you. For me I know I can't read sink my teeth into a TV series or novel in the same genre and write original copy at the same time. I also find it hard to concentrate when I have paid projects on the books or my house needs cleaning.
(21) ...but accept that part of learning the discipline is being able to work in imperfect conditions.
See #2. By the time you found the right music for that one scene, you could have written the damn scene and half of the next. Often, we will never have enough time or the right time. Learn to work with what you have.
(22) "Write what you know" is generally bullshit...

My #1 post of 2022
Baroness' General Writing Tips, Part I
I decided to finally start compiling little (and big) things I've learnt over the 20+ years I've been compulsively recreationally putting one word in front of the other; I hope it's helpful or at least reassuring!
While much of this is slanted toward fiction, a lot of it applies to nonfiction as well. I've also gone for more general tips this go round. You're welcome to pick my brain about specific topics and I'll do my best to answer.
The key thing to remember is that this is what I have personally found helpful; they may have more or less degrees of usefulness or relevance to you personally, but they can still serve as starting points. Part II
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(1) Your method is your method...
This goes for whether you plan ahead or just roll with it, but also things like when/where you write.
(2) ...but discipline and practice will help you do the heavy lifting.
At some point the difference in your personal skill plateaus is down to how often you write regardless of your mood, knowledge of where it's going, or perceived skill. Persistence will be your strongest ally during the inevitable droughts and valleys of self-doubt.
(3) Reading is good and helpful...
Read widely, read deep. Learn from the successes and mistakes of others. Learn what you want to emulate and what you want to avoid. Broaden your perspective, take note of different techniques, build your knowledge base. Train your discernment. Likewise, back-reading your own material to see where you left off can be useful if you struggle with consistency / sticking to the point. (4) ...but don't let it distract or saturate. Sometimes, back-reading your own work can scratch the itch you had to work on something and you end up not writing new material. This can happen with others' work in a related genre/field -- it scratches the itch you had for that type of content, or conversely you begin unhelpful comparisons between their work and yours.
Most of all, you will need to learn the difference between being inspired by something and mimicking it to the point of plagiarism.
(5) Learn to take a break, not to quit. If you feel a piece truly isn't working, don't let your first response be to give up on it. Put it away for a while and come back to it, then maybe try, for example, a different angle or point of view. (6) Light immersion in related media helps with burnout while still being useful. Sometimes writing isn't going to be the most helpful thing to do. You will always need to replenish your creative batteries, but sometimes this can feel like avoidance or laziness -- it isn't. Browse concept art. Sketch. Work on some worldbuilding that'll never make it in. Visit a museum. Listen to an audiobook in your genre. Watch a documentary on the same topic.
(7) Your first draft is just that -- a draft. Be open-minded and forgiving, and embrace the process. The most important thing in this stage is to get content on the page, because you can't do anything without it. Trust your gut and let the words flow how they want.
(8) There is immense opportunity in the editing process... Often the best breakthroughs come through asking questions during your editing. The answers can forge new links or callbacks, or open up new avenues for plot, or enrich what's already there. Editing isn't pass/fail -- it's a conversation. (9) ...but don't be a forever-editor. Perfectionism is the enemy. Nothing will ever be perfect to you -- accept that sooner rather than later -- but it will be perfect to someone out there. Yet they'll never see it if you don't let the project out into the world. (10) Read it aloud. No matter your experience, this will inevitably catch clunky sentences, weak pacing, and even sub-par semantics. It's very important to do this with dialogue so that it sounds natural.
(11) Accept you belong in the writerly ecosystem just as you are.
There's three aspects to this: first, that everyone feels like an imposter at some point and probably will in the future, regardless of their experience or how much they have published. Second, that there are no new ideas, but your telling will always be new. And third, that you remain a writer if you haven't written for years or struggle to jot down a sentence a week just as much as if you churn out a book a year. Don't let these things hold you back.

"Bonsoire, mon cherié."
Ahh, so this is the 'tumblr' people have been speaking of? How exquisite~ Beautè! And since just so many of you, Tricksters, appeared to have taken an interested in me, and some of you my photography, I have decided to let you ask me some questions, any your heart desires~.
Until we meet again, au revoir!
Helloo!! The face behind the voice, you folks can call me "Amia." All "OOC" / "Out of character" comments will be spoken in this exact purple colour or in the tags! (Most likely just tags outside of this post.) I just wanted to make a fewww things clear before we dive head first into this.
READ THIS BEFORE INTERACTING!!
1. This blog is intended to be PG13. Anything explicitly sexual (NSFW or anything that could be constructed as such) will be ignored and not answered. Mild suggestive askes towards the character is okay! I also won't be answering anything that is adjacent to canon.
2. No jokes about sensitive subjects (Suicide, death threats, etc), please. The jokes aren't funny and any containing them won't be answered.
3. Don't spam my askes. They'll just be unnecessary clog on the blog.4. There won't be any canon ships on here, so please refrain from out right shippy questions. But, as a side note, out of personal headcanon, Rook is pan here!
Anddd.. that's about it! Besides the things listed above, have fun! Go wild, ask Rook questions, bully him or something!
Some responses and such could be a little OOC for Rook, and I apologize for that! I'm just a lad with time on her hands, not Rook himself (;;)
Fellow RP blogs are more than welcomed to interact!! You don't have to be Twisted Wonderland either, and if you're a Rook rp blog like me then we got ourselves a fun multi-verse! In fact I encourage interacting. /gen
Now please! Go out and enjoy your day, thank you~!

What if hallucifer stayed with Sam throughout the whole show? What if cass didn't really fix the problem, but only took the pain away?
Sam walks out of that hospital knowing he's not alright. Knowing he's never gonna be alright. He gets into shotgun, dean smiling next to him warmly, Lucifer smiling at him from the back seat. Cold dead eyes.
Lucifer is there with him when dean and cass get blasted to who knows where. Crowley tells him he's all on his own, Lucifer laughs next to him.
He meets Amelia, but eventually she leaves him. He doesn't blame her, who would want to be with a guy who talks to air and barely sleeps? He starts drinking a lot after that.
Dean comes back, from purgatory apparently. He doesn't know about lucifer, Sam never told him, didn't want to make himself a bigger burden for his brother. So he lies, tells him he was with Amelia this whole time. Dean gets angry. Sam knew he would, but it's easier this way.
Lucifer is with him when they find the bunker, commenting on the ugly lamps. Sam snickers, dean looks at him weird, but doesn't say anything.
Lucifer is with him when he completes the first trial. He looks down to Sam who is covered in blood. He points to the dead hellhound. "I knew that one." He says. "Her name was Ashley."
Lucifer is with him when he goes to hell to rescue bobbys soul. "I did not miss this place." Lucifer whispers next to him. A shiver goes down Sam's spine.
Lucifer is with him when he's just about to finish the last trial. Lucifer always keeps quiet when Sam is completing trials, something about "purification." Sam doesn't really know, he mostly blocks him out.
He's there when dean comes and stops him. He's yelling at Dean, telling him to go, leave them. But dean cant hear him, he knows he cant hear him. Sam doesnt know why Lucifer even tries.
Lucifer is in the back seat of the impala when Sam wakes up. He doesn't remember getting into the impala. He remembers passing out in the mud in front of the church. His clothes are clean now though. Lucifer is quiet.
Lucifer has stopped talking to him, he just hovers now. It's driving Sam mad. He's not used to the strange silence, but he doesn't suspect anything weird until he starts losing fragments of his day.
He starts noting down time frames that he loses. He started when he was researching in the library at 2:45pm, blacked out, and came to in the kitchen at 3:14pm. Lucifer stays out of his way. Sam sometimes thinks he has a look of pity on his face, but that can't be right, can it?
Sam eventually asks dean about this. His brother just brushes him off. Lucifer continues to hover.
Crowley comes and saves him. Sam kicks the angel out. He opens his eyes to see Lucifer staring at his brother. "I guess sammy has a thing for kicking angles out."
Deans starting to get suspicious. Sam's zoning out more and more. Eyes glazing over as he just listens to Lucifer ramble on about nothing. About everything.
"You good Sammy?" Dean asks him one day while they're eating breakfast. Sam answers too fast. Dean only gets more suspicious.
Dean eventually finds out, Sam knew he would sooner or later. He finds dean with alcohol more often now. A look of guilt is permanently stuck on Sam's face.
"Its not your fault Sammy." Dean always tells him. Sam is finding it harder to believe him.
Sam zones out more often. The only thing that can bring him back is deans touch. Deans heavy hand on his shoulder bringing him back down to earth, grounding him. Deans always looking at him with this sad smile. Sam feels like he's failed him.
Lucifer is with him when he finds out dean got the mark of Cain. "Oh that's a nasty little thing." Lucifer comments next to him. Sam has taken to ignoring him, it eases deans mind.
Dean is getting worse and worse. And so is Sam. Dean is slowly losing care for Sam and he's not there for him anymore. He's not there to ground him, to pull him back.
Sam starts zoning out for longer periods of time. Dean doesn't seem to care, only rolls his eyes. Lucifer watches perched on a chair next to him. "Does big bro not love you anymore?" Sam flinches.
Lucifer is there when dean dies.
Lucifer is there when Sam finds the note. "Aww big brother left you." Lucifer laughs.
Sam is spiralling. Lucifer talks to him more and more as Sam searches for his brother. No-one is there to ground him anymore. No-one is there to help him. One day Sam accidently talks back to Lucifer. Lucifer looks shocked for half a second before that cold smirk comes back to his face.
"Its been years since you talked to me Sammy." Lucifer says one day as Sam is reading a book on demons. "I missed our little talks." Sam slams the book shut. "Shut up." He hisses.
Lucifer is right there as Sam ducks down to avoid the hammer. "I never knew why Alastair liked this one." Cass appears. Thank god. Sam falls back against the wall and helplessly covers his ears. He knows it won't block him out. "Sure he ripped apart a lot of souls in hell, but a hammer?" Sam hits his head against the wall. "Shut up shut up shut up." Lucifer laughs at him. Cass pays him no mind.
Lucifer is there when the darkness is unleashed. "Ooh aunty." He says next to Sam. Sam flinches, dean places a hand on his arm. All three stand there and watch.
"You know, I find it really uncomfortable that your brother has a thing for my aunt." Lucifer says one day. Sam looks him right in the eye. "Shut up, Lucifer." Sam hasn't looked directly at Lucifer for at least 3 years. Lucifer smiles coldly at him as dean walks up to Sam, worry and fear etched into his face. Palms out towards him like he's trying not to scare off a frightened animal. Sam doesn't feel too far off from that.
Lucifer is with Sam when he goes to see real Lucifer. Sam thinks he's going crazy.
"So, you're still seeing me huh?" Real Lucifer asks him. Sam sucks in a breath as Lucifer stands to the side of the cage. "Oh c'mon Sam. I've been inside that head of yours. There's nothing I don't know about you." Real Lucifer smiles down at him. Or is it fake Lucifer? Sam doesn't know anymore.
Lucifer is with him as he gets tourted by the British men of letters. Always sending words of encouragement, towards Toni.
Lucifer is sitting on the steps. "Ah remember our lovely time down under?" He asks, titling his head to get a better view of what the lady was doing. "Ooh blowtorch. You never did like fire huh?" Sam screams. He can bearly hear Lucifers laughter over his own screams of pain.
Dean comes and saves him. Hands all over him as soon as they're out. Lucifer rolls his eyes at them. "Mother hen." Sam tenses up.
Lucifer is there when their mother leaves them. "I guess everyone hates ya huh Sammy?" Lucifer smiles at him. Dean doesn't react, doesn't even look at him.
"Never did like the brits." Lucifer says one day. Sam smiles. Deans hands are on him straight away.
Lucifer is there when Jack is born. Lucifer is there when cass is killed. Sam thinks he's seeing double, two Lucifers talking to him at the same time.
One Lucifer stays with him, one goes with his mother. He's not sure which is which. So he asks. Lucifer laughs at him. Dean doesn't put a hand on him.
Dean always stands closer to him after that, he's always making sure that they're touching, that they're shoulders are brushing. Lucifer gets annoyed at dean. Tries to hurt him. Sam sleeps less and less, just in case, just in case one day Lucifer succeeds.
Lucifer sits right next to Sam one day, getting all up in his personal space. Dean isn't in the room. Sam silently sobs.
Lucifer is always hovering around Jack, making terrible remarks about the kid. Sam snaps one day. "Leave him alone!" Lucifer smiles at him, Jack looks up at him like a confused puppy, and dean is dragging him out of the room, his fingers digging into his shoulder blade.
Jack has started to avoid him after that. Dean tells him not to worry about it, but it breaks Sam's heart. Lucifer laughing at him for it all the time is not helping.
Lucifer is there when the vampires get him. Cheering to the side of the cave. And Lucifer is there when he wakes up. He didn't know that it was the real Lucifer.
Lucifer is with him when he makes it back to Dean, both of them. Sam only knows which one is real beacuse everyone is looking at that one. Sam feels like he's failed Dean, again.
Dean hugs Sam, but it doesn't feel real, it doesn't feel right. Lucifer pokes his blood caked neck, Sam jerks away from dean. Dean looks at him with heart broken eyes.
Deans hand is on him all the time now. Holding his arm, brushing their shoulders together. It makes Sam feel jumpy.
Sam makes sure Lucifer stays in this world. He doesn't know which one he trapped, but he hopes it was fake Lucifer. Real Lucifer is easier to deal with.
Lucifer is there when real Lucifer is killed. Sam smiles at him.
"So much for your win Sammy." Lucifer says one day while Sam is sitting in the darkness of his room. "Sure you killed me, but you lost your big brother." Sam wishes he could punch him.
Lucifer is there when Sam gets dean back.
Dean makes a comment on his beard. "Don't listen to him Sammy." Lucifer says as dean walks off. "I think you look good." Sam shaves his beard off after that.
Lucifer is there when Michael possesses dean again. He's laughing the whole time. Dean won't help him, can't help him. Dean is gone.
"Let him in the box Sam!" Lucifer suddenly snaps at him one day, making Sam jump. "Get rid of Michael!" Sam starts to cry. It's too much, not even deans touch is helping him anymore. It feels wrong, alien.
Nick attacks him, Lucifer is cheering him on. "Ah I wish he was my true vessel!" Lucifer exclaims as Sam's vision darkens.
Mary is dead, Jack is gone. "Bye bye mother Mary." Lucifer sings. Sam flinches, dean doesn't care.
"Oh so you can't put your brother in that box, but you sure as hell can put my son in?" Lucifer is yelling in his ear. Sam punches the air. Deans hands on him don't help.
Chuck comes back. Lucifer snarls at him, never stops yelling at him. It's hard for Sam to pay attention to anything, he can't hear anything over Lucifers yelling. Deans hand is on his shoulder the whole time, but he seems out of it.
Lucifer was quiet for a while after God killed Jack. Sam counts his blessings.
Lucifer is there when they rendered chuck powerless. He seems to have a grateful look on his face.
Lucifer isn't there when dean dies.
Lucifer isn't there when miracle dies.
Lucifer is there when Sam's on his death bed. He's standing in the corner of the room, arms crossed over his chest. He waves, and Sam's vision fades.
Sam's free.
Sam's finally free.

Get To Know Me tag game
Rules: answer the questions & tag people you want to get to know better.
Thank you @29rynoah for the tag! It's been fun seeing everyone's responses. :)
1. Favorite color: yellow! ^^ It used to be blue, but yellow is very appealing lately.
2. Currently Reading: lots of articles for assignments but not really anything interesting. I've been meaning to finish The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down for a while, but it makes me sad and angry every time I read it. T^ T It's good though, just in a complicated way.
3. Last Song: Heat Waves by Glass Animals
4. Last Series: my sister recommended The Trials of Apollo series by the same author as the pjo series, and I've finished the first book so far. It's feels very nostalgic and fun to read.
5. Sweet, Spicy or Savory: definitely sweet. I really love spicy stuff though, especially spicy soup or noodles. My roommate is really fond of takis, and I like those too. They make my tongue hurt after a while. XD
6. Cravings: something crunchy. I also really miss my mom's cooking.
7. Tea or Coffee: I like both a lot! Drinking coffee makes me nervous and shaky though, so I can only have it on days I don't have stuff going on. Oolong tea is my favorite, but I think I just like having tea because it's warm and relaxing.
8. Currently working on: hmmmm, I'm kind of working on something shippy, but it's been a while, and I keep losing motivation. I hope I'll have more time to write when winter break comes around :D
Tagging: @willowcatkinblossom, @wojtekaneko, @disasteroulik, @belowdek but no pressure if you’re busy! Also, anyone who sees this and would like to do it, I'd love to see your answers, so please tag me :)

Event Week Upkeep (Art Credit, Busted Mobile Links, and Spoiler Tags)
Two weeks to go until Spinaraki Week: Round 3, and we the mods hope everyone is as excited as we are!
A few quick points to address before we get to the meat of this post:
Per a few questions about it, Mod Nal (@codenamesazanka) is the one who does all our graphics; look forward to more details from her about her fantastic screenshot mockup for this year's prompts at a later date!
I (Mod Stillness) noticed that the links to the rules and the text-based prompt list don't work on my mobile app, so for any who share that issue, if you want to review The Rules or get The Prompts in a nice easy format for copy-pasting, you'll find them beneath the Read More cut at the bottom of this post!
That said, I'd like to take a few minutes to address how we'll be tagging for spoilers for this event week. If you either don't care about spoilers or actively follow the weekly leaks, all you need to know is that we are NOT asking participants to tag their spoilers unless they wish to do so as a courtesy to their own followers; we'll be doing tagging on our end.
If you are concerned about spoilers, read on.
Regarding the currently airing season of the anime: the mods' assumption is that we don't have many people around here who are anime-only, as the anime has—to say the least!—not done a stellar job of translating the appeal of the ship. If you're following us and you are an anime-only, please do speak up either in the notes of this post or via ask to let us know if you'd like us to spoiler tag anything the anime hasn't gotten to yet!
Also, we're thrilled you exist and managed to find this pairing despite the anime's best attempts to hide it from you. Congratulations on your keen insight! You'll probably want to stop reading this post right about now, though.
For everyone else, given the events of the chapter that released just today—Chapter 369—it's looking like we are, for the first time, all but guaranteed to see some Spinner action during the course of the event week! How nerve-wracking thrilling! Chapter 370 is due to officially release on the 23rd, the day before the event starts; likewise, if these things follow the usual timing, leaks for Chapter 371 should start coming out in the Tuesday night to Thursday morning range, with the scanlation coming out on Friday and the official release closing out our week on Sunday.
Accordingly, we'll be tagging any work that deals with content from those chapters as bnha 370 and bnha 371, so do blacklist those if you want to be thorough about avoiding exposure to spoilers!
If anybody has any other requests about spoiler tags (ex. you're all caught up on Villain Hunt but running behind on the current arc) or tagging in general, feel free to weigh in as well with any requests!
That all said, thanks for reading, and here's the promised cut for text prompts and the ruleset:
THE PROMPTS
Monday, 10/24: Reunion ~ Delight ~ News
Tuesday, 10/25: Flesh ~ Resentment ~ Help
Wednesday, 10/26: Bear ~ Grief ~ Transformation
Thursday, 10/27: Spin ~ Yearning ~ Family
Friday, 10/28: Countryside ~ Boredom ~ Mess
Saturday, 10/29: Leader ~ Sadism ~ Prison
Sunday, 10/30: Hero ~ Tale ~ Serenity / ~ FREE DAY ~
RULES AND POLICIES
1) We will accept and reblog any fan-made work—fanfiction, fanart, meta, playlists, etc.—so long as it focuses primarily on Shigaraki and Spinner’s relationship and fits an appropriate daily prompt. The work must be newly published for the week, though if you wish to also use it as a fill for some other concurrent event, you’re welcome to do so. You can work with any of the daily prompts you like, singly or in combination. We try to keep them fairly broad, so feel free to get as creative as you like! We welcome any fill that satisfies some aspect of the chosen prompt(s).
2) We’re celebrating the relationship between Shigaraki and Spinner as it’s been, as it may be, and even as it could have been. Shippy-fic or gen-fic, canon-compliant or AU, romantic or platonic or any complicated place in between; we’re good with all of it. Polyshipping/OT3s are allowed, but the focus must remain on Shigaraki and Spinner.
3) Regarding content, we’re not placing hard limits on what we’re accepting. Shigaraki and Spinner are villains in a canon that goes to some shockingly dark places, so we consider exploration of that darkness fair game for fanwork. Likewise, given that this is a week focused on a relationship, we welcome NSFW content. We do, however, ask that all content be responsibly and appropriately tagged for any content you have reason to expect could be upsetting to others.
4) We’ll be checking the tags for spinarakiweek2022, spinarakiweekround3, spinarakiweek, and spinarakiweeknsfw. As stated above, please tag also for any work that requires content warnings. We’re only operating on tumblr, so if your work is hosted elsewhere, feel free to post a link to it and use one of our tags, though if you do so, you may also wish to message us about it, given tumblr’s notorious grouchiness about off-platform links. Feel free to message us if it seems like we’ve missed a fill of yours! Late entries are allowed and enthusiastically welcome.
5) No hating on other ships or characters—we’re here to celebrate and enjoy Spinaraki, so if there’s a character you can’t include without bashing them disproportionately to the canon, just don’t include them. Likewise, please be respectful of other participants and their work, whether or not it’s to your particular taste.
6) We reserve the right to exercise moderator discretion in the case of borderline rule violations or unforeseen issues.

Were there any episodes in season 3 where you felt they could've been written better? I'm only asking because I had some ideas I wanted to share with people about fixing them since, to me, the season started becoming a mess around The Phantom and the Sorceress. And the episodes don't need to be outright bad, there could just be parts in it you didn't like.
Oof. I've been a bit loud and obnoxious about certain episodes for sure 😅 I'll try to briefly sum up a few.
Also I'm just gonna say, some of these are just I don't like what they did rather than any huge fundamental problems like the finale.
Also disclaimer. This is not an attack on anyone who likes these episodes! Nobody has to agree with me! If you like these episodes cool! Glad you got something out of it! This is just Tombs being a nit pick loud mouth.
Rumble for Ragnarok
I can't complain too much about this one as it was still entertaining. Norse is part of my heritage and I'm a fan of the mythology which was on full display this episode. My only real issue this episode is that the message gets a little lost at least on me. And then two is I think out of all the episodes this one is the one that could absolutely be thrown out without losing anything really important. Trade this episode for something different. Something more important.
The Forbidden Fountain of the Forever Glades
Scrooge's behavior and leaving Webby in the jungle was painful to watch. (Much as I don't like the finale twist, the twist actually makes this episode worse.) [Also so much for Goldie's "fresh start" when in Split Sword of Swanstitine later showed she once again attempted to double cross Scrooge. Yeah. Fresh start. Totallyyyy.] Goldie is a fun character and I can't hate her too much. The episode has its merits and definitely still think this episode should be around but Scrooge's behavior here really kills me. Thankfully at the end he does better but ugh. It's low on the overall ranking for me based on how he behaves and treats Webby.
New Gods on the Block
I actually really love this episode but Storkules was pissing me off too much 😂 Nit pick for sure. I love this himbo but got dangit he was making me so mad. I get it was kinda important for the overall plot but come on we got so little Donsy content that it was frustrating that he was so intrusive.
The First Adventure
Nit picking again. I think it's kinda random how in the span of a few hours a hard ass like Scrooge went from "my obnoxious niece and nephew" to "my heirs and beloved family." I guess it's possible but not a fan of that kind of writing. For me it would make more sense that they had several adventures or at least more time with them before they became "his heirs" in his eyes. Extreme nit picking on my part though, the episode isn't bad at all really. Also no Hortense and Quackmore. Yes they were named. (Or she was) No we never got to see them. Rude! This was actually a really good episode though overall again I just have some minor nit picks.
The Fight for Castle McDuck
Okay this one is also kind of a nit pick but it's more like based on the episode's timing. I think it is absolutely ridiculous that Webby "Knower of all things Clan McDuck" has no idea that a family of Scots fights a lot. I can somewhat forgive it though as she's young and isn't as familiar with this side of the family in the flesh. But it's so weird how this late into the show we're seeing this?? I think I would have liked this episode more if it had popped up earlier into season 3 rather than so late? It just was a kinda weird episode and not the most enjoyable but the timing I think made it worse. Also the no mention of Hortense again. Referring to Matilda as the youngest when that's supposed to be Hortense? It's really not the worst episode. It just feels a bit off to me and again to me mostly the timing of it. Could have been better, could have been worse.
How Santa Stole Christmas
THROW THIS EPISODE INTO THE FUCKING GARBAGE. HATE HATE HATE IT. THIS ONE ACTUALLY MAKES ME RAGE.
This episode is actually worse for me than the finale. Literally I consider this episode the worst in the series. I just hate it!!!
I hate that this episode was about Scrooge and Santa. I really don't give a fuck why Scrooge hates Santa and this story in no way compelled me. (Also why was Scrooge and Santa's dialog weirdly shippy??? Thanks to this episode got another huge NOtp, "scranta" is gross, sorry, hate it. Absolutely cannot board that ship at all, I have the tag blocked.) I see absolutely no reason why this was the story we got when there was literally an option to follow up The Last Christmas now that Della was finally home????? MISSED OPPORTUNITY!!! I hate the weird crazy ass capitalist message going on throughout the episode, I get Scrooge is a capitalist himself but he didn't change from this episode? He walked away from Jennifer's obvious poverty life and went "ah as long as she's happy" instead of I don't know, maybe a message about helping the less fortunate??
Look maybe I'm just bitter from my own life. I've lived in extreme poverty my whole life. My parents home has literally looked so much liked the ruined place Jennifer lived in during the episode. And I live in Alaska so I KNOW COLD. I know how it feels to go cold for days on end, no food, no water, nothing. Extreme poverty. Scrooge could have done something. He wasn't like Donald who doesn't have much either. He's a freaking billionaire. He could have helped. And instead the message he walked away with is "if you're happy life is fine" or something. Whatever the message that was supposed to be from this episode is completely lost on me because all I see is a miserable rich old miser who hates letting kids have fun and won't help someone in need. Absolute garbage episode. I really wish they had instead just followed up on The Last Christmas. Or had some kind of family centric episode at least! I seriously fucking hate this episode so much. I would legit erase this episode if I could it is the WORST.
The Lost Cargo of Kit Cloudkicker
Nit pick again. Didn't love what they did with Kit. Okay I get the idea he grew up to idolize Baloo so he turned out more like him. It...wasn't great. Didn't like that much at all. Felt like they just tried to shove Kit into a DT87/DWD Launchpad mold. I didn't love that Baloo and Kit's relationship was mentioned weirdly casually? Like Kit called himself Baloo's sidekick??? Except in Talespin Kit calls him Papa Bear??? Also great, got another tag to block from this episode, the delkit ship. Not a fan, thanks.
Kinda weird for me with this episode I didn't really catch the meaning of it. To me it felt like the message was "defy expectations...by meeting them." It didn't really click and I kinda hated it for that plus the weird characterization of Kit. Actually I was on Twitter and someone was complaining about this episode and I responded in agreement and then FRANK REPLIED TO US 😅😅😅. Frank explained that the point was more of "if you're good at something, don't give it up" rather than "you can do anything you set your mind to" type message that appears a lot in kids media. (Also Frank please don't look at me when I'm criticizing the show 😂😂😂😂😭 I promise overall I do love it I'm just a loud mouth when I don't like something some times 😅)
After Frank explained that it did click a little better and I can see the message a bit more clearly. But I'm still not really in love with this episode like I wanted to be. I freaking love Talespin so that was a bummer. But as I've said a dozen times. I'm mostly nit picking my personal opinion.
The Life and Crimes of Scrooge McDuck
Another one I wanted to like more than I actually did. And mostly this boils down to Louie having to apologize to Doofus when Doofus is the one who's like some wild sociopath or something. I get it Louie hasn't been completely innocent towards Doofus. He did try to use him and con him but Doofus flat out has tried to hold him captive and torture and even kill him. Doofus' sins outweigh Louie's. Louie having to apologize to prevent the tension and all just...feels like victim blaming? This one is harder for me to describe why I don't like it and I think others have explained it better than me. I think it could have been better if Louie AND Doofus both apologized and agreed to start over and let what happened between them before be water under the bridge. At least this way they're equals? Maybe it wouldn't have been the best fix but I feel it would have been better than Canon. This one I don't want to call a nit pick. This one feels like there is something fundamentally wrong with it but I struggle to explain. Mostly other than that though I think the episode was fine. A little weird that the karma court scale needed to be told the villains hearts rather than able to just know them (mostly looking at the Ma Beagle one here) but that part is more nit pick.
And finally...The Last Adventure
I have things I love about it. The individual character moments. The references and call backs. The music. This finale was clearly made with love and care.
But that damn Webby clone daughter thing twist changes things. I know some people say it doesn't but to me it does! I feel it messed with the family dynamic and the characters in a needless way. I feel it didn't add anything to but rather did take away from. I don't wanna say too much on it as there's already been so much talk on it so in keeping it brief- not a fan, didn't like, why the hell, no.
The thing with Bradford kinda threw me off too. His logic and insistence on not being a villain made him so interesting. He was truly a villain to rival Scrooge. Then in my opinion he was pushed into a weird middle ground. He didn't feel like he completely abandoned what he previously stood on but also didn't go full villain either? I get a villain like Bradford isn't easy. The writers have to truly bring their all for someone like him. But Bradford suddenly getting armor and the Split Sword and becoming a battling giant was kinda ????? inducing. Threw me for a bit of a loop. I probably need to watch this episode a few more times before I finally settle on where I sit with the Bradford thing but at least at this time I just feel kinda mixed on it. Maybe I missed something there.
Other nit picks from the finale. Donald's writing was a little weird, he sounded like he was going on vacation but then Della said he was moving out and Donald talked like "well you have the boys and Uncle Scrooge..." it just really sounds like he's leaving the family?????????? Especially at a time like this? Rude! I mean yes somebody please get this man a vacation but the writing here left me kinda confused and there is no reason Donald would ever just leave and act like "oh well their mom is back so my work here is done." Nope. DADnald for life.
Lena and Webby never getting shown to have made up after their fight. I imagine the giving June and May the friendship bracelets kinda implies it but come on. Even just a hug would have been good. Also...why are they giving up their friendship bracelets??? Confused, not a fan.
And also...in addition to the Clone twist, I really don't love that April, May, and June were all clones instead of Daisy's nieces. I really wanted to get to see them in the show and now I just feel like thanks I hate it! I admire the guts to make a twist like this and all but I really hate it.
Overall please let me say I LOVE Ducktales. The show as a whole to me is a huge important thing I love. This isn't an attack on anyone who likes these episodes. I am just once again being loud and obnoxious with my own opinions and nit picks and things I just would have liked to see or not see.

Yuletide Letter!
Dear amazing Yuletide writer,
Oh my goodness, thank you for signing up-- I can't wait to read your work! I know that Yuletide can be a big commitment, so thank you for contributing.
What I really want for Yuletide is just for you to find the story you want to write, but I know that sounds vague and frustrating, so here: have a bit more guidance.
Fandom 1: ANDOR
What I've really adored about this show thus far (and I'm writing this between episodes 6 and 7) is the depth of character and worldbuilding. I'm not feeling particularly shippy about any characters thus far, so I'm not looking for romance-- although I don't object, if that's how the writing spirit moves you. And please write about any character you like, because the character tags for sign-up were extremely limited. What I'd rather see is an exploration of a character moment, a slice-of-life, or an examination of the technical, nuts-and-bolts side of the rebellion.
Feel like writing about Mon Mothma figuring out how to move money to the rebellion through lax banking laws and charitable foundations? I am here for it.
Want to write about Maarva watching young!Cassian sleep in the shuttle after rescuing-slash-abducting him? Want to dive into how uncomfortable she is with motherhood? Please do!
More interested in Cassian learning how to be the Fastest Draw in Ferrix? Or writing something about his (increasingly traumatic) adolescence? I will eat it up with a spoon.
If you want to look at Meero and Blevin's inter-office competence war in the ISB, or Karn's pathetic rage, I would probably do a happy dance (so long as we're all on the same page, and that page is: the ISB are bad, and Meero and Blevin are bad and competent, and Karn is bad and pathetic).
My only Do Not Wants in ANDOR are as follow:
I'm not interested in any sort of The Empire is Actually Good stuff. Complexity and grey morality is interesting, but sometimes people suck and aren't interested in redemption.
Bee is precious and lives no matter what.
Fandom 2: GOSFORD PARK (2001)
Okay, now for this one, I'm definitely looking for something a little more specific. I want to know what happens to Mary after the movie. Does she stay in service? Does she leave? How does she manage with knowing about the murder? Does she stay in contact with Elsie? Does she ever see Robert again? Does she join forces with Mabel and help her kick that dirtbag husband to the curb? Basically, I am here for anything with more Mary, because I love her and want good things for her.
(Those things could absolutely include more Robert Park in his undershirt, jsyk.)
I love the 1930s murder mystery aesthetic and the class-based tensions in this movie, and I'd love to see you play around in a world that is coming to the edge of another war, and struggling with what it means to be modern.
Do Not Want for GOSFORD PARK (2001):
I am enormously uninterested in Henry Denton as a character, so please give him a miss.
Fandom 3: THE GOBLIN EMPEROR
Look, Maia is precious and I will read anything with him in it, but I also have SUCH a soft spot in my heart for Csethiro Ceredin and her fierce declaration following the assassination attempt. I would love, love, love a Csethiro-centric work from her perspective-- perhaps something that works through her feelings towards Maia from the time of their betrothal until the assassination-- how does she get from duty to that fierce, devoted defense?
Do Not Wants for THE GOBLIN EMPEROR:
None, really. Go wild!

Hey dude, I'm sorry if my tag give you negative impressions and it triggers problems god knows you don't want to experience. It would be hard to accept different opinions on tumblr because we're communicating in a third medium, misunderstandings are bound to happen. If people in the fandom are actually making your life hell and actually personally attack you, I'm offering ears to your story. I know how shitty people can give anxiety and maybe sharing it can ease your burden. That if you want to
I have calmed down now (who knew chores could clear your mind right?). Also, I want this ask and answer to be public so people know what happened and don’t send either of us hate or whatever. (That’s happened before so it’s for mine and your protection). But if you feel uncomfortable with that, I will gladly delete this post and send it via submission.
Hey I want to say thank you, for apologizing. I would also like to apologize. I was already in a beginnings of a manic episode that I felt in me, and when that volcano just erupted, I “spewed the lava” onto you and you didn’t deserve that so I’m sorry about that. I’m trying to do better with it. And I probably should have been more clear, I will work on that too.
Yeah the five years of being on here were hell. (In fact I have a post labeled “Five Fucking Years [link]” that is the summary of the hell - but no where near explains exactly what I’ve had to deal with.) My blog archive on this one only shows 3 years, but I had two different blogs—and a failed remake for this blog—until I remade into “teamsharoncarter” (tsc is like, my tenth url on this blog omg).
I kinda ranted about the Five Hell Years of Fandom below, it’s kinda long, so it’s under a read more.
So my Fandom Life started way back in 2012 on fanfictiondotnet, and 2013 on tumblr.
First thing negative I ever had happen to me, is that a person reported and had my fanfic deleted because I “falsely advertised on the fanfic summary” as stated on the last review before my fanfic was just Gone. FFN didn’t even warn me or back it up at all. And because people badgered me for an update because I wasn’t Spitting Out A New Chapter Every Hour, the demands made a deadline for something that wasn’t supposed to have a deadline made me worry that people would hate me if I didn’t Immediately Post Now, so I posted One Paragraph chapters that were rushed and gross, because I thought they just wanted quantity, not quality. So then I started getting Hate Reviews because it was rushed and not “proper length for a chapter.” (Thank God for James Patterson for his One Page Chapters that taught me, who cares if it’s one page? You wrote down what you wanted in the story without somehow jamming it into another chapter.)
Imaginary deadline made me anxious like a school deadline, which made me feel bad for not posting anything for months which lead to more anxiety which lead to feeling like crap everyday for not posting which eventually lead to spiraling depression.
So I left fanfictiondotnet behind me. And did a dumbass decision to join tumblr. I’ve seen other authors on FFN talk about visiting their blogs and chat with them and stuff, so I thought it would be a fun place to hang with fellow fans.
I was right for a little bit.
Then I reblogged a post that upset one of my few followers. Next thing I knew, I was getting sent messages about how I’m a menace to society for liking this one couple or something (like if I remember correctly, it was a think it was thalico - about 7 months before Nico was confirmed gay). And so because I said “fuck off” because like, 13 years old, why do you wanna worry about that stuff when all you want is fun right? So whenever I got a message from them, I’d delete it. I’d block them over and over again, because either they were using friend’s accounts or a different computer, I’ll never know. After they were Proven Right that their headcanon was canon, they were like “see! i told you!” as if it was okay for them to constantly harass me because their headcanon that a character was gay was confirmed.
What made me finally leave that blog was that I kinda got into a fight, like we did, but they twisted the words I was trying to say, which I got irrationally angry at, and they vagued me, and also not so vagued me, (which is why I don’t take kindly to that anymore) to their followers, which lead to hundreds of anons in my inbox about how I should die and should kill myself. I tried to tell the person, but they had me blocked after they vagued me, and so I had my friend tell them, but all they got was a laugh in the face about how I was childish for trying to stop what I deserved.
So I deleted that blog, remade another one, where I would just reblog, not comment, not have ask open, not post personal opinions, nothing. Just a simple reblog blog. That didn’t work either because I started to feel lonely, and the only follower I had was my sister.
So I tried FFN again, new account, new fanfic ideas, new ships, new identity, and put a link to my blog on my bio and decided to open up my ask for any convos my readers wanted for the fanfic—specifically things like theories for the next chapter. I even made sure to have three chapters ready, so I would post one chapter per week, which gave me time to write the next one, to give a nice flow. Which was a big mistake. I started to get the same “UPDATE!” messages, so I would post the next chapter anyway because I have a compulsion to please people, which restarted the spiraling because I no longer had the cushion to have more time to write. I though the update demands would shut up if I gave them three in the same day. But then, I also got hate reviews for my fanfics in my ask. About how everyone was Out Of Character or Not Together With Their OTP. And so I deleted the accounts and just started over again.
With this blog.
I started not talking to anyone but the few friends I made on my previous blog. I reblogged a lot of gen stuff, then as a month went by with nothing, no sign of hate, I decided to reblog shippy stuff, I changed my icon to my OTP.
Which upset practically everyone.
I was sent not only that I should die or kill myself, but death threats and rape threats and just weird ass shit. I get sent messages that my otp/fave character was abusive (steve/tony, fave character is tony) and that I was an abuse apologist and that I should be filled with concrete to they could “smash me into a million piece or sculp me into a human being with more decency”. So since then I just would, block anyone who I saw was even a little negative toward the things I loved, because I thought, if I put up the barricade now, they can’t get me later. But then I started showing love to other ships and characters and it would just start all over again. And then people I already had blocked would somehow find my posts, screenshot them, post it making fun of it without removing my url, then send hoards of people after me. And when asked to stop, they laughed at me more.
I changed my url, and saved the old url with a redirect to a “not found” page so they thing I deleted and I was save for awhile.
I posted a picture of me as sharon for halloween - I didn’t have a white catsuit, but I did have a vest like Sharon did in CW so I wore that (2 people recognized who I was trying to be) - and then I got this ask: “You are ugly. So is Sharon. [link]” and yeah my answer was basically “wow anon lol pathetic hate”, it still got to me?
I don’t know what has made me stick it out with this one for so long. Maybe because I have a lot of followers now, maybe because of the friends I made, maybe it’s my “fuck this fuck you i’m staying” spite. I don’t know. I just know that I’m tired.
I’m tired of defending myself and the fiction characters I love. I’m tired of constantly being told by my own invasive thoughts and by real people, that my life doesn’t equal that of a fiction characters. That fiction characters are somehow worth more than me, a living breathing human.

You're being fucking pathetic at this point, I unfortunately have a fucking life outside of pissing people hanging in their own tags on Tumblr so how much I'll keep entertaining you is anyone's guess.
"Whining, playing the victim" you're seriously being fucking pathetic. I was hanging around in my own tags, you appear out of nowhere "cause you were bored". I try to be nice, call you nice, and then I face a bunch of ad hominem arguments from you. And you still insist on being an annoying hazard, feeding your own ego by trying to call me out on my "patheticness". God the salt, god the Tumblr shipping fanbase... Holy sweet you guys are seriously creepy at times
You really think I'm going to read all of that? I don't even fucking care. Dear, I already decided that I dislike both Hinata and NH once. Why should I be interested in reading pro articles?
I'm seriously done with this whiny brat. For the love of god send help I'm not gonna take my hours replying to someone who wishes this fight
"Your view of Hinata is sexist cause you see only shyness and boobs."
Gonna put a revolutionary concept here, but I think her character is so poor that she's all about that poorly written sob story and the sexist caricature of male fantasy - obedient, cute with stalking and fainting, big breasted. If you think sexism is someone disliking your fav, you must seriously have no idea what we're going through in some of the "developing" countries.
Also, I know this argument is slightly petty but you're forcing me - I have some female characters I stan, Kishi just isn't good at writing females, and there are also some very poor male characters I hate too.
"You brought up how terrible Hinata was out of nowhere"
Nope. You want to discuss it. Leave if you're not interested. Cause I'm not. There are much more fucked up things wrong with Naruto anyway.
And good job repeating all the corny NH moments I already know accompanied by a fanfic-esque "emotional" shippy writing that I'm not the least bit interested in. I know how to take a pencil and write "I'm scared T-T" "Keep going! You can do it!" "Oh, thanks ^^ :)" dialogue too. It doesn't make it deep. If you're really this interested in learning why the hell those moments ain't shit and:
1-) Kishimoto being pressured to develop Hinata/NH ruined some parts of the series.
2-) How much SP fucks up with their constant retcons,
3-) How majority of NH interactions are fillers and The Last is filled with plotholes + ruins Naruto's character,
4-) How Hinata doesn't have anything going on for her except NH and that's How Not To Write Main Girl 101,
5-) How Hinata's character is a sexist fantasy of ideal girl,
6-) Hinata isn't actually that innocent and nice,
7-) Whatever else,
Go annoy someone who actually cares. Like, I don't. I seriously don't. I may have given a few things if you were actually being nice about it but it turns out what you want is a fight. Whatever. Go have your fun.
Flicked through what you wrote once more and I realized you're only talking only about how they exchange confidence, that shouldn't be all there's to a developed relationship. Naruto not understanding love is a retcon. Also, majority of your writing is fanfiction with all those artistic description of feeelz. Coherent arguments of solid moments there are so few. What could you expect from 40 pages? Last note - Naruto has those friendship kind of relationships with everyone, that's not how romantic love works. Also, this is a fictional scenario so Naruto or Hinata loving each other or not isn't our main concern - we're saying that love, be it the confidence exchange or flipping out when one is injured, doesn't automatically mean it's well written.
Lastly, please cut that holier than thou attitude. I swear I'm saying this for your own good. You neither would want to push away people that could be your friends with your petty confidence in issues as meaningless as a ship nor be have to face extremely embarrassing memories of it once you grow up and turn back.
About Neji’s death
It was bullshit
Let’s review the events:
1-) The wooden spears (?) are fired
2-) Naruto is incapable of reacting in time by himself so Hinata jumps between him and the flying spears
3-) Neji jumps between Hinata and the flying spears, and dies
The wooden spears travelled at a speed so slow that they could only impale only one person, they couldn’t even completely go through that person and the people behind that one person were unscathed.
Also, when Hinata jumped between Naruto and the spears to play the meat shield, she must have stood some distance away from him so that the spears that were supposed to impale her wouldn’t harm him. Then, when Neji jumped between Hinata and the spears, he must’ve stood some distance away from Hinata too for the same reasoning. Therefore, back when Hinata made the decision to defend Naruto with her body, the flying spears must have stood some good distance away.
The spears were slow and far away.
There was enough reaction time for not one, but TWO people to jump in.
Hinata could have pushed Naruto out of the way.
Or did she not think of pushing Naruto out of the way? She could’ve used Gentle Fist to defend herself instead of just dying.
Hinata couldn’t do that too? Then Neji could’ve defended himself with Gentle Fist.
Neji is called Hyuga’s genius, he’s a Jounin. Did he REALLY not have any technique under his belt which would charge quickly and defend against flying wood? Really?
Not only the death scene was stupid, it was later disrespected in the story too.
A character’s death scene was followed by a… ship moment?
I’m not even gonna give my personal opinions on the said character and ship. I’m just saying that Neji had a character arc and overall decent amount of screentime. Therefore, he can be considered an important character in the series. Overshadowing his death scene with a ship moment was completely disrespectful to his fans and the said ship’s antis.
And Neji’s teammates couldn’t even react to his death for more than a few panels .-.
Well, Kishi confirmed in an interview that Neji died a cupid to NaruHina so… :“)

Its never too late to join a fandom! Welcome to our ship~ AoKise ftw! Hope you don't mind if I hit you with the OTP/Pairing questions. 3, 17 and 20 please~
ahaha, this is the nicest welcome, thank you!! I don’t think I’ve been officially welcomed to a ship in a while...
3. What is your favorite AU/prompt idea/trope for your pairing?
I think I’d like a band AU of them more than anything---Kise as the charismatic vocalist, & Aomine being like a guitarist or something that he has a lot of chemistry with. Whenever I listen to my favorite band from middle school I think that singer is exactly what Kise would sound like, haha.
Also, as far as prompts/tropes, I really like fake dating & Aomine getting possessive during the course of it...
17. Are they relatable as characters or as a pairing?
Yeah! Well, usually I choose my ships because I relate a lot to one character and want to see them happy with another character that I approve of. So this time, I sort of relate to Kise as someone who tends to hide what he’s thinking, and I like the idea of Aomine being someone he trusts/someone who can force him to be honest.
20. What made you decide to ship them?
Ahhh. Erm. I’m not sure, I think it was a really “slow burn” decision! Like, maybe I saw a shippy gif of them months ago... forgot about it... saw another fanart, did a little tag searching... a few more months go by... and then, I don’t know, recently I read a lot of fics for them at once!
#i really love doing these paring questions!!!#i don't get asked to do them that often haha#so thanks!!!!#aoikise#you asked me a thing#adoseofyukiya
