i just know that tsuzuru was mad as hell in that audience bc he didnt think to originally write homoeroticism between these characters when he sees the blocking and misukazu chemistry lol
#so sad....epic fail gay playwright moment#no one asked him to make anythign gay he just does that for him. and they beat him at his own game. it was literally right in front of him#in his defense maybe you could say he didnt want to make his friend/upperclassmate play gay suddenly.#guy scared of doing rpf. but he should have known better. like tsuzuru its kazunari. come on.#kazunari would be like andrew garfield in tsn. yknow. he'd do tht.#anyways. you can write misukazu rpf tsuzuru they wouldnt care.#i need to think more about a3! rpf stuff. its challenging bc they are theatre people. which makes them so fucked up.#i can say that. i have a theatre degree and im about to have a second one. but i dont need to put a disclaimer on it.#isaac anime posting hours

★ Main Story | Act 13 - Budding Spring | Chapter 15 - Ketchuped To Hell
Company Employee A: I’m so sorry to bother you.
Company Employee A: We’ve been able to handle English-speaking and Asian countries just fine, but this region is a little more difficult for us and there aren’t many people in the company who would be able to help…
Company Employee A: I’ve been considering outsourcing, but I haven’t gotten approval yet. Please, can you at least make sure there aren’t any parts that could be misunderstood in the machine translation?
Chikage: That I can do easily.
Chikage: …
*Typing*
Chikage: (So this is the final document.)
Chikage: --.
Chikage: (...Same last name and everything. I still hate myself for reacting to it out of reflex.)
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Tsumugi: It’s been quite a while since the voting period for the final selection started, and yet the notices of debut performances aren’t showing any signs of stopping.
Kazunari: And there are still just as many new troupe and troupe member recruitment notices too~.
Kumon: That reminds me, there was a kid in one of my classes that said they were thinking about starting to do theater.
Tsumugi: It seems like the more people are exposed to the opportunity, the more people become interested in it.
Tenma: And because of the SNS Votes, more and more theater companies are shifting their focus to streaming.
Omi: While working on a photoshoot the other day, I met someone who works in the film industry and they said they’ve suddenly been really busy lately.
Yuki: A lot of people’s impressions from overseas are starting to pop up online.
Tasuku: The new Fleur Award really is helping to bring life to the world of theater, just like they said at the first press conference.
Azuma: It’s especially amazing considering things have only just begun.
Sakyo: Yukio-san is the type of guy to be in the eye of the storm when it comes to theater.
Guy: With the increased attention on it, he and Kamikizaka must be very busy doing various interviews.
Sakyo: Well, I’m sure Reni-san’s handling it just fine.
Yuki: The number of reviews on the theater forums has gone through the roof, but a good chunk of them are pretty scathing.
Yuki: Even performances done by famous theater companies and playwrights are getting stuff like, “I couldn’t understand the dialogue because they talked too fast, but the costumes were cute, I guess.”
Yuki: And “It suddenly turned into a contemporary dance thing and I had no clue what it was supposed to mean, but overall it was interesting.”
Azami: Honest but harsh, I guess.
Sakyo: They probably didn’t understand the stylistic beauty of that troupe, so it’s likely just them being candid on their first time seeing them perform.
Tsuzuru: They’re interesting to read, but I fear the day they come after us.
Sakuya: I wonder what they’re gonna say about us…
Izumi: Let’s not overthink things and start catastrophizing. We’ll be fine as long as we be ourselves.
Itaru: Right. If we worry about it too much and disappoint our existing fans, we’ll become the harbingers of our own doom.
Yuki: Well, it’s probably best that we all limit ourselves when it comes to reading reviews.
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
*Door opens*
Yuzo: Mornin’.
Tsuzuru: Good morning.
Sakuya: Good morning! We’ll do our best today!
Izumi: Sorry to do this when you’re busy preparing things for your own troupe, Yuzo-san.
Yuzo: It ain’t a problem.
Itaru: Have you figured your attack plan for the Fleur Award on your end, Yuzo-san?
Yuzo: We’re just gonna do what we always do. That said, we got our asses kicked durin’ the pre-votin’.
Izumi: MANKAI Company placed 70th.
Yuzo: We were 103rd.
Sakuya: Furinkazan was!?
Tsuzuru: Even though you’re so popular your tickets sell out every show and you have a pretty solid fan base…
Yuzo: That’s ‘cause most of our fans are older.
Yuzo: So most of ‘em didn’t even know the pre-votin’ existed or if they did know, they didn’t know how to do it.
Yuzo: It’s gonna be a tough battle, but we’ve gotta fight in it in our own way.
Yuzo: Well, this ain’t the end of things, so we’re gonna take it at our own pace and not try to rush it.
Yuzo: But that’s just Yukio-san throwin’ us curveballs in the same way he always does. The things that guy comes up with never fails to amaze me.
Izumi: Haha… that’s him, alright.
Yuzo: Well then, if you’re all ready, then let’s get things started.
Sakuya: Okay! We’ll do our best!
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Yuzo: …
Izumi: What do you think…?
Izumi: (I haven’t felt this kind of nervousness in a long while…)
Yuzo: Haaah… You’re as stiff as ever.
Yuzo: Given it’s a sequel to your debut performance, there ain’t any problems with the way you’re interpretin’ the roles, but overall, you’re fightin’ spirit just ain’t there.
Yuzo: Tsuzuru, you’re still havin’ your doubts about the script, and that’s why you’re not fully focused on the play, ain’t it?
Tsuzuru: …Yes.
Yuzo: And the rest of ya are too focused on wantin’ to put on a good performance to get the results ya need for the rankings.
Yuzo: ‘Course, puttin’ on a good performance does matter, but you guys should damn well know that by now.
Yuzo: Above all, you should think about what ya wanna convey and accomplish with this performance again.
Yuzo: Do ya wanna earn your spot in the rankings or do you wanna show off your growth…
Sakuya: --.
Yuzo: ‘Course, there’s nothin’ wrong with wantin’ recognition. But if that’s all you’re doin’ it for, then you’re just earnin’ points.
Yuzo: You’ll end up bein’ consumed by thoughts like, “If we do this, we’ll be more popular and get more points” or “If we do that, we can get some extra points”-- But what we’re doin’ is theater. It ain’t a competition.
Yuzo: What is a Spring Troupe play to you guys? What are you doin’ this for? Who’re you doin’ this for?
Yuzo: You’re doin’ a sequel of your debut play. What did that play mean to all of you back then?
Yuzo: If you’re gonna do a sequel to your debut performance, maybe it’s best ya go back to those origins and give ‘em a look over again.
Yuzo: …But do it with some caution, yeah?
Izumi: (I wonder if Yuzo-san is also pretty worried about the new Fleur Award.)
Izumi: (No, I’m sure companies other than Yuzo-san’s are worried too… We’re not alone in this.)
Izumi: (What place does our troupe have in the rapidly changing world of theater…)
Izumi: (Maybe we need to rethink the path we’re going to take.)
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Citron: It has been a long time since we have been ketchuped to hell like that~.
Masumi: Criticized to hell?
Itaru: His kindness stat has been upped since back then, though.
Chikage: Isn’t that because of how much he approves of us?
Masumi: But that just makes fixing the parts he doesn’t approve of that much harder.
Sakuya: There… really is no easy answer, huh? Our Spring Troupe’s acting… our origin…
Tsuzuru: Who would’ve thought it’d be so hard just to be ourselves?
Chikage: Because sometimes you’re not the one to understand yourself the best.
Izumi: We decided to do this sequel in order to go back to our roots and remember where we started…
Izumi: So, what do you all think was the best part about Spring Troupe back during the first RomiJuli?
Sakuya: To be entirely honest with myself, my acting skills were horrible. All I had back then was my desire to act.
Tsuzuru: But you’ve still got that desire even now.
Sakuya: Yeah! If anything, I love and cherish theater even more than I did back then.
Masumi: So I wonder what we’re “lacking” now.
Itaru: I mean, I’m pretty sure I’m way more absorbed into theater than I was back then, at least.
Chikage: Our bonds as Spring Troupe have deepened and we’ve all improved too.
Citron: I do not feel like we are lacking anything~…
Masumi: But I get what Yuzo was saying.
Tsuzuru: Same here… He was right about me not being able to shake my hesitation about the script, too.
Chikage: Differences from our debut performance, huh…? For better or worse, this is no longer our “first time” on stage.
Itaru: You mean like our freshness is gone, or something? Well, there is a certain something about an author’s debut work, I guess.
Sakuya: You can only have one “first time”, so it’s not something you can do again, huh…
Tsuzuru: So, does that mean that, in a way, we’ll never be able to surpass our debut performance…?
Itaru: Sad, but true.
Masumi: Something that can’t be surpassed despite our improvement, huh…
Itaru: The impact of a first time and a blissfully unaware, reckless drive do have a certain power to them.
Sakuya: Hmm…
Izumi: …
Izumi: (Everyone seems gloomy now.)
Izumi: Let’s let this problem sit for a bit and each think about it more individually. We’ll have another meeting about it some other day.
Tsuzuru: Gotcha.
Itaru: …Yeah.
*Phone buzzes*
Sakuya: Ah--.
Izumi: The meeting’s over, so you’re okay to go and take that.
Sakuya: Sorry, excuse me, then.
*Footsteps*
Sakuya: --Hello, Sakuma speaking. I appreciate your call.
Sakuya: Um, I’m so sorry. About that…
*Door closes*

A3! Main Story: Part 4 - Act 15: PAINFUL RE:BAKE - Episode 23: Harm Caused By Talent
Juza: Nomnom…
Kabuto: …
Juza: Nomnom…
Kabuto: Looks like you’ll need seconds.
Juza: ‘s that okay?
Kabuto: Another serving of anmitsu and a glass of this sake, please.
Waitress: Of course.
Juza: Thanks.
Kabuto: I have a hard time understanding what you’re thinking, so I wanted to have a nice, long talk with you.
Juza: ‘kay. Nomnom…
Kabuto: As the director and playwright, I want to hear your thoughts. You’ve only acted as the opposing role for now, but what do you think about your own role this time?
Juza: … About Judas… I think, I’m not sure what will come out of it for me if I act as this role in the play.
Kabuto: Oh?
Juza: I understand that you wrote this script with Settsu and me as your inspiration.
Juza: Our playwright at MANKAI Company, Tsuzuru-san, often writes with the members in mind, so I’m used to having my role decided in advance.
Juza: But I’m playin’ as an actor this time, and honestly, seeing myself portrayed so directly left me with mixed feelings.
Kabuto: (... He doesn’t talk much, but he’s got all kinds of thoughts in his head. He’s talking more than usual now. Is it because of the alcohol?)
Kabuto: It’s as you thought. I had a talk with your director about your relationship around the time of the Autumn Troupe’s debut and turned that into a script.
Juza: … I hated myself so badly back during our debut performance.
Juza: But lookin' back, there were parts of myself I simply refused to look at.
Juza: That’s why, acting as Baal and facing Judas, who’s a depiction of me through your eyes, gave me lots to think about.
Kabuto: For example?
Juza: Obviously, the script’s a dramatization, so it doesn’t cover everything, but…
Juza: When looking at it from someone else’s perspective, I realized I’d never thought that my acting might hurt someone.
Juza: ‘Cuz I always thought my acting would never leave that much of an impression on anyone.
Kabuto: … You should be more aware of the harm that comes with your talent, at the very least.
Juza: I don’t think I’ve got a talent like–
Kabuto: It gets unpleasant when one’s modesty reaches this point.
Kabuto: Why do you think I asked you to guest star in the first place? It’s not like I needed an extra for Settsu.
Kabuto: You’ve got a raging fire in you that only a few actors possess.
Kabuto: Whether you realize it or not, that fire has the power to turn everything around you to ashes.
Kabuto: If someone influenced by you tried to imitate you, this fire would scorch their acting to crisps.
Kabuto: You can think of those you act together with now as the actors who haven’t been burned by that fire.
Kabuto: Should you gain more fame as an actor, that fire of yours could burn more and more actors, maybe even to the point of holding them back.
Kabuto: Eventually, it might even burn a performance out of someone’s life.
Juza: ——
Juza: (Back then, I’d have never accepted those words. I'd have thought that there was no way I’d ever have a power like that.)
Juza: (But now… I feel like I have to accept those words head-on.)
Kabuto: … Are you not mad at me?
Kabuto: I find your lives amusing, so I'm turning them into a commodity and consuming it.
Juza: A commodity…
Juza: … I just considered it an extension of our Portraits, I didn’t think of it like that.
Juza: Even if you’re consuming our lives, I don’t think we’re losing anything out of that.
Juza: What you’re trying to consume is the me and Settsu of some day.
Juza: I’ve kept changing myself so I won’t ever lose to Settsu.
Juza: Ever since my debut, I’ve found opportunities both within my troupe and outside of it to continue growing and come out on top.
Juza: Just now, I told you that I wasn’t sure what’s gonna come out of me playing this role.
Juza: I started actin’ cause I wanted to change myself to begin with, so it’s not change that I’m afraid of.
Juza: I’ll continue to change, and Settsu will continue to change, just as he’s always done.
Juza: That’s why, even if our practices were chronicled in a script, by the time the performance would end, I’d no longer be the same person.
Juza: Even if something was lost, it’d be parts of my past self, which I don’t really mind. I got no reason to be mad at you.
Juza: If anything, I’m grateful to you for giving me this chance to look back on the person I used to be from a different point of view.
Kabuto: … You won’t lose anything even if your life’s consumed, huh.
Kabuto: You got me. I’ve got goosebumps.
Juza: Huh?
Kabuto: Juza Hyodo. You gave me goosebumps. I like people that love words and are loved by words.
Juza: ???
Kabuto: I thought if you hated me, who plays Jakes, it would influence your hatred as Judas and turn the play into an even more fascinating piece.
Kabuto: My plan fell apart. Well, the one that hates Jakes is Baal, so I suppose this role is just right for you.
Juza: … Um. Settsu’s got times when he tends to make things too difficult for himself too, sometimes, so at the start it might all be complicated, but…
Juza: It’ll probably get simple in the end. You don’t hafta worry.
Kabuto: ——
Kabuto: You guys… You both blindly trust each other, huh?
Juza: ‘s not like that.
Kabuto: Argh, I can’t do this anymore. I want to see it right now.
Juza: Huh?
-
Banri: So, we’ll be exchangin’ roles today too–
Kabuto: That’s enough. I want to see you guys play your actual roles now.
Banri: Wha?
Kabuto: The casting switch period ends today.
Kabuto: Starting today, make sure you never forget the envy, jealousy, and hatred you felt towards the person that acted as your role, and overpower their passion with all you’ve got.
Kabuto: Through acting as the other’s role, you should have a grasp on their murderous intent. Don’t be killed, and act back as though you will do the killing.
Juza: ‘kay.
Banri: You got it.
Banri: … That sure was a sudden switch. Just what the hell did you guys talk ‘bout yesterday?
Juza: … Nothing important.
Banri: Yeah, that’s definitely a lie.

A3! Settsu Banri - Translation [SSR] MANKAI Feature (2/3)
*Please read disclaimer on blog; default name set as Izumi
---
Banri: Sorry it’s so late.
Tsuzuru: Not at all. You came all the way to my room. Do you want to talk about your script?
Banri: Yeah, basically?
Tsuzuru: Have you thought about a request for David’s story?
Banri: I did. If I can still ask you now, I’d like to act out David on the night before the prison break and then the aftermath from that.
Tsuzur: I see, I see…
Banri: Also, if possible, I want David to get some relief somehow.
Tsuzuru: Relief?
Banri: Yeah. Well, I’m leaving that to you, our signature playwright.
Tsuzuru: I feel some pressure coming on… But you came up with your request quicker that I expected. I thought you’d have more trouble deciding.
Banri: It’s not like I didn’t have any trouble… “South Hill Prison” features Shaw and Ren, the lead and co-leads. But we have no idea what happens to David in the end. What happens after he tells them he’s going to his dad’s hospital and they split up isn’t written. What becomes of him… I’m genuinely interested in knowin’.
Tsuzuru: I see.
Banri: Besides, in the main story, Ren loses his mother and Shaw loses his little brother Ren. But David’s uncertain. There might be some hope. …I’ve gone off quite a bit, but I’m just curious. I’m lookin’ forward to seeing what you write with a request like this.
Tsuzuru: Got it. …I said I felt pressure earlier, but when you put it that way, there’s no way I can write something half-hearted.
Banri: Ah, also, since the contents haven’t been solidified yet, I’d like to add this type of direction if possible…
Tsuzuru: Mhm, mhm…
Banri: …And it’ll go like this… got it? I’ll think about the rest once the script is done.
Tsuzuru: …
Banri: What?
Tsuzuru: Nothing. I thought this back during the run of this play, but you really do love acting, don’t you~?
Banri: Love, huh… I guess you can say that. Aight, I’ll leave the rest to you.
Tsuzuru: Sounds good.
-pause-
Azami: I never thought I’d be able to play Ren when he's alive.
Banri: I’d like to call it fanservice… but it’s impressive how it well it was set-up. That’s our signature playwright for you.
Sakyo: Are you guys ready?
Banri: We’re already here.
Azami: You sure took your sweet time gettin’ ready.
Sakyo: Ha?
Banri: It’s not just David, Renato gets some good parts too, doesn’t he?
Sakyo: David and Renato have an inseparable relationship, after all. It’s a good script, so I can’t wait to get on stage.
Banri: I feel that.
Izumi: It looks like all of you are ready. We’re good to go on our side too.
Banri: Aight. Let’s do this.

[SSR] Tsuzuru | Everyone from the Minagi Family
I worked on this for quite a while and when I decided to post after it was done, I kept it in drafts because I realised a bit too late that someone already translated this :) Though, it's such a waste to discard the efforts I put in, so I'll post this as a practice.
__________________________
Midnight Crunch Time - Part 1
__________________________
*Director's default name as Izumi
―Hallway (Night)―
Izumi: Let’s see, what are the plans for today...
Hm? Did something just fell?
(This is... a photo of Minagi family? That means this belongs to Tsuzuru-kun.)
(I wonder if he’s in his room... Huh?)
―Balcony―
Tsuzuru: ......
Izumi: (Seems like he’s in the middle of doing his work. He’s so focused... Is it alright if I call him out?)
(I guess it’s fine since it’s just a photo.)
Hello, Tsuzuru-kun.
Tsuzuru: Oh, Director. What’s up?
Izumi: Sorry if I bother you. This photo is yours, right?
Tsuzuru: Hm? ...Ah! Yeah, that’s mine!
Izumi: I found it over there just now.
Tsuzuru: Argh, my bad. I didn’t even realize it fell.
Thank you, Director.
Izumi: That’s a nice photo you got there.
Tsuzuru: Kaoru came to my part-time work today. I got it from him then.
He also told me to send his regards to you.
Izumi: I’m glad to know he’s doing well.
Oh, how are Tadoru-san and Meguru-san doing?
Tsuzuru: They’ll be back from overseas at the end of this month. I’m planning on going home too.
Though, I doubt I’d be able to...
Izumi: Why’s that?
Tsuzuru: Truth is...
*flashback*
―Veludo Way (Night)―
Tsuzuru: Thanks, Kaoru.
Kaoru: Sorry for coming in out of the blue.
Tsuzuru: Well, I really didn’t expect for you to come.
Kaoru: I just happen to pass by chance, and I wanted to see you working.
Please send my regards to Director-san too.
Tsuzuru: Got it.
Kaoru: Oh right, I’ve been meaning to hand this to you.
Tsuzuru: ?
__________________________
Midnight Crunch Time - Part 2
__________________________
Kaoru: I printed out the photo that we took when you were back at home before.
Tsuzuru: Wow... We’ve been taking photos with phone lately and leaving them as they are, but it’s kinda nice to have a printed photo like this.
Kaoru: Right?
I guess the next time you come home is when Tadoru-oniichan comes home at the end of this month.
Tsuzuru: Right... I said something like that, didn’t I.
Kaoru: Meguru-oniichan said that he’ll show up at home then too.
Tsuzuru: End of the month, huh... The deadline for my assignments and my part-time work might overlap then...
Kaoru: That sounds tough. Don’t push yourself if you’re busy.
Tsuzuru: Yeah. Still, I wanna see you guys, so I’ll try to finish them as soon as I can.
Kaoru: Tadoru-oniichan and Meguru-oniichan wasn’t included in the photo from last time, so I hope we can get a photo with all of us together next time.
Tsuzuru: I hope so.
*flashback ends*
...And that’s why I might not have the time to go home.
Even so, I’ll do everything I can to show up, so I’m starting with what I can do for now.
Izumi: I see.
🌸CHOICE 1: Don’t push yourself too hard
Izumi: Don’t push yourself until you pass out like when you’re writing your script.
You’re too focused when you concentrate that you forgot to eat and sleep.
Tsuzuru: ...I’ll be fine. It’ll be all for nothing if I pass out.
Besides, writing script is something that I like to do, aside from the report.
🌸CHOICE 2: You’re very family oriented
Izumi: I see you’re very family oriented.
Tsuzuru: Hm, there were times I wanted to be alone when I’m at home, but...
I figured that living apart like this makes me miss them.
Izumi: Your house is very lively after all.
Tsuzuru: Well, the dorm isn’t that much different. They both are precious places to me.
I’ll keep writing more good stories as the playwright for MANKAI Company.
Izumi: Fufu, I’m looking forward to it.
―Dining Room (Night)―
Izumi: Our dinner tonight is Massaman Curry!
Chikage: The scent of the cardamom and coriander is nice.
Izumi: I got my hands on some good spices, so I tried using them.
Citron: Oriental aroma is wafting through the air~. It stimulates my appetite!
Masumi: Your curry is the best in the world...
Sakuya: What kind of curry is it?
Izumi: It’s a curry of chicken, potatoes, onions, and peanuts simmered in spices and coconut milk.
Sakuya: It's quite unique to have peanuts included! I’m excited to know what it tastes like.
Izumi: I made a lot, so you can have seconds!
Masumi: I’ll eat the whole pot until there’s nothing left...
Izumi: You don’t need to eat the pot too.
Chikage: The spices work well, and the ingredients are simmered soft and tender.
Itaru: You sound like a nagging food critic.
Chikage: The "nagging" part was unneeded.
Sakuya: It’s very delicious, Director!
Citron: It feels like I’m traveling in a foreign country~!
Izumi: Fufu, I’m glad you like it.
Tsuzuru: *yawns*
Citron: What a big yawn!
Izumi: Not enough sleep?
Itaru: Were you grinding for a game event all-night too?
Tsuzuru: I’m not the same as you. I’ve told you before that I’m trying to finish my report.
Chikage: College report?
Tsuzuru: Yes. Though, it’s not going smoothly because there’s a lot that I need to research...
Masumi: He stayed up late last night too.
Izumi: Really?
Sakuya: Are you okay, Tsuzuru-kun?
Tsuzuru: Well, I’ve got a lot of part-time work, so there’s not that much progress...
I need to concentrate on finishing it soon, or else I won’t be able to go home... I’ll get it done somehow.
Thank you for the food. I’m gonna head back to my room.
Izumi: I hope he’s not working too hard...
Sakuya: He looked really tired too.
Chikage: He’s a workaholic after all.
Citron: We’ll ‘curse’ him if he passes out! [1]
Izumi: ‘Nurse’, you mean.
Itaru: He’d get instant death if you do that with the way he is right now.
Sakuya: I hope his assignment goes well...
Izumi: I hope so too...
Masumi: ......

Midnight Crunch Time - Part 3

―Room 102 (Night)―
Masumi: *zzz...*
Tsuzuru: *yawns*
...It’s never-ending.
(My shoulders are stiff, and my eyes hurt too...)
I’m so tired... Oh, it’s already that late?
*yawns*
(...Guess I’ll take a nap.)
*snores*
Masumi: ......
Tsuzuru: Mm...
(Shoot, I overslept...)
Hm? A blanket...?
(There’s even a jelly drink...)
(I doubt anyone would come into the room in the middle of the night like this.)
(So that means...)
Masumi: *zzz...*
Tsuzuru: ...Thanks, Masumi.
Alright, let’s wrap this up with one final push.
ーHallway (Day)ー
Izumi: Oh, Tsuzuru-kun. Good morning.
Tsuzuru: Good morning.
Izumi: How’s your assignment going?
Tsuzuru: I think I’ll make it in time.
Izumi: That’s great. Sounds like you can finally go home now.
Tsuzuru: Yeah, I’m also glad that I can adjust my part-time shifts.
And here, look... I got this from Masumi.
Izumi: A jelly drink...? He brought you a refreshment?
Tsuzuru: Seems like it. It was on my desk while I was napping.
Izumi: The way he didn’t give it to you in person is very Masumi-like.
Tsuzuru: Right?
I never thought that Masumi, who used to argue with me a lot when I first joined the troupe, would come to support me like this.
Izumi: ...You’re right. Both of you have such a great relationship.
Tsuzuru: Well, he's like a cute little brother now, just like Sakuya.
Masumi: ...You’re too close with Director, Tsuzuru.
Tsuzuru: Oh, Masumi.
Izumi: Good morning, Masumi-kun.
Masumi: Good morning. You’re very cute today too.
Izumi: Ahaha... You sure are lively too.
Tsuzuru: Hey, Masumi.
Masumi: ...What?
Tsuzuru: You’re the one who left this for me, right?
I finished my report without a hitch thanks to it.
Masumi: ...Director was worried, so.
Tsuzuru: Thanks.
Masumi: So annoying. I want headpats from Director herself, not you.
Tsuzuru: Yeah, yeah.
Masumi: ...I told you to stop it. I’m not a dog.
Tsuzuru: Come on, isn’t it fine?
Masumi: No, it’s not.
Izumi: (It’s so heart-warming to see that both of them are like real brothers.)
Story Clear!

Continuing my Isekai thoughts but this time is transmigrating Tsuzuru for the sole purpose of making those drawn-out titles like:
"Help! I Was Isekaid To The Plays I Wrote For My Theatre Company (There Are A Lot)!?"
"Theatrical Isekai Extravaganza. Maybe Being Reincarnated Isn't Bad And I Can Rest For A Bit— Oh Nevermind It's THIS Play"
"From Playwright To Protagonist: Unforgettable Reminder To Tone Down The Drama"
"Summoned By My Own Characters To Change The Narrative Of Their Play??"
I think it'd be neat
#Bonus point if Tsuzuru is isekaid as an npc even in the Spring plays instead of his own character <3#Would love to hear more ideas for titles if anyone has any asdfgh#em speaks#a3!#a3! tsuzuru

Came about because I realized we joke about Tsuzuru's uncanny ability to write plays that result in folks working through things, but that would be terrifying actually. This is more an expanse on those thoughts but without going anywhere/things are only implied, though it'd fun maybe to explore a more grim/disturbing side to this point sometime
Tsuzuru Minagi has a knack for unconsciously uncovering people's traumas and personal difficulties, but so far it's ended up with everyone confronting them and growing. It took a while for her to realize, but Izumi now sees this first-hand, is grateful for the help it provides the company, and in awe of Tsuzuru's innate ability. Yet there's only so many things to uncover about a person before you hit their limits, and Izumi's apprehensive for the day one of Tsuzuru's scripts reaches that line.
Tsuzuru's job is not to be a therapist, is not to help people, but to be a playwright. Tsuzuru is young and has written so much already. If he continues in this way, when will he burn out? When will he feel start feeling stagnant, complacent, or...safe? He knows their audience, he knows the rest of Mankai, he knows they're open to ideas and exploration of topics and supportive of him. Tsuzuru knows he can try testing boundaries -but at what cost? How many scripts and ideas does he have that will never see the light of day because he knows they're too far?
Or maybe Tsuzuru doesn't have any...yet. Maybe he doesn't know his own ability -the others don't seem like they've picked up on it either- but someday....someday one of those scripts will come and threaten to rip Mankai apart, and Izumi fears that day will be soon.

A3! Event Story Translation “Moon Traveler” - Chapter 9
Chikage, with the Spring Troupe and the director go out as he opens up about a few things to them.
Izumi Talk about spacious! Tsuzuru More like there’s so few people in here that it makes it feel bigger than it is. Itaru Looks like it’s just us. Chikage Before you ask, I didn’t do anything. Izumi We didn’t say anything either! Tsuzuru With a private party like this, it makes us seem like big shots. Sakuya So many space-themed stuff is on display. Chikage It’s more authentic looking than what I’ve seen on the site. Citron Over here, it says this one is a rune stone! Masumi Moon stone. Chikage Either way it’s really here in front of us. Tsuzuru That’s real impressive when you think about it. Chikage Looks like the very senpai that asked me to pull in my weight for this is having the most fun here. Citron He must have wanted to go here himself. Tsuzuru Aah——. Chikage-san, come over here for a sec.
Chikage ——. Tsuzuru It’s a corner in the room to get the moon experience. It’s just a projection but it’s pretty well done, huh? Chikage … Tsuzuru (Chikage-san…?) Chikage I wonder if it really looks like this on the moon. …Before, you asked me why I wanted to become an astronaut. Why that question specifically? Do you still wanna hear the answer for that? Tsuzuru Can I? Chikage For a bit yeah. I can tell you an old tale of mine. My family situation is kinda complicated, and as far as I could remember, there wasn’t a place at home for me anymore. That’s why I would always leave the house and gaze at the moon at this certain spot. Eventually, I was itching to go on the moon itself. …I must’ve wanted a place to belong to. I thought that there might be a place for me on the moon that’s always watching over us, away from that uncomfortable place. Pretty childish, right? At first I was just interested in space itself, but that’s what made me want to become an astronaut. Tsuzuru That dream of yours… it already came true, hasn’t it? Citron You might not be on the moon, nor are you an astronaut! Sakuya For now! Chikage ? Tsuzuru But if it comes to a place to belong to, Chikage-san, it’s already right here with us. Chikage ——You’re right. Izumi Besides, you’ll get to realize your dream of going to the moon on the stage soon. Citron Chikage is full of screams!* Masumi Sounds painful. Itaru That’s true. Tsuzuru (To the moon as a place of belonging, huh?) ——Ah, I got it.
Izumi And with that, we finally have our script! Tsuzuru Thank you for your patience. Citron You sure have kept us suspended! Itaru But it made for a good ending. Sakuya Gino and the others stop Roberto and go back to Earth together… I feels a bit more sentimental like this. Izumi Roberto’s character is essentially the same, but he’s been fleshed out and deepened now. (Chikage-san’s acting improved significantly since then. He must’ve remembered a lot of things from his childhood.) Masumi I mean, it’s not just the last part that changed. Tsuzuru Gah… When I heard Chikage-san’s story, I got a little too eager to write. Izumi It’s a privilege to be a playwright and a co-star this time around. Tsuzuru Chikage-san said it was just a fleeting dream from when he was little… I dedicate this script and role of Roberto to Chikage-san and himself when he was a little boy. For us, Chikage-san was, and still is Chikage-san. Chikage Thanks. By the way, Tsuzuru, don’t you have any questions left for me? Tsuzuru I got enough info, the story is pretty much over. All that’s left is to believe in what was written. Chikage I see. I appreciate it. Tsuzuru Ah, but— one more thing though. Chikage ? Tsuzuru Do you have any requests for the script? Chikage … Well, since you insist.
________T/Ns:________
Citron says “Uni” in this sentence, like what was mentioned a chapter ago, "Uni" in Japanese means sea urchin, but the language Chikage is referencing is Finnish, where "Uni/Unelma" means "dream/to dream." He meant to say that Chikage is full of dreams but he ended up saying he was full of sea urchins instead lol

[Event Story TL] Weeping Star On a Summer Night (Chapter 2)
December: I’m glad you weren't April. I’d be annoyed if he was the one who came along.
Click below to read more
previous ・ next
December: …Cold
August: You’re awake? Morning, December.
December: I’m glad you weren't April. I’d be annoyed if he was the one who came along.
August: Eh…
Haha, I guess, I’m glad you didn’t get annoyed——
[noise]
August and December: ——!
Cat: Meow——
December: It was just a cat…
It’s good that April wasn’t the one who came along after all.
The cat’s leg looks like it’s injured, the fur doesn’t look great, Is it because of its age…?
…Ah, It slipped under the shade.
August: Perhaps, that child acknowledges that it will soon meet its death.
December: Eh?
August: Cats tend to hide their appearance from their owner when it's nearing its end of life.
Hisoka (put screenshot here): …
August: Let’s put it down over there, shall we?
December: Yeah——
December: Just now, there’s…
August: Hm? What’s wrong?
December: …A shooting star.
I almost mistook it with a plane…
August: It might be hard to distinguish it especially at this late in the night. Have you conveyed your wish yet?*
December: …I didn’t have the time to do it.
August: That makes sense. But then, if another star appears, what kind of wish do you want to make?
December: …..
I want to eat unlimited marshmallows from the sweets shops all around the world, all free of charge.
August: Well, then those shops would go bankrupt wouldn’t they?
December: I can’t think of anything else.
What would you want then?
August: Hmm, that would be…
“...I hope my family’s wishes come true”, something like that.
location: dorm outside
Hisoka: ….Mm, a dream…?
(...No, It’s a nostalgic memory from back then.)
(I couldn’t decide on a wish in the end.)
(...that’s also the case for now though.)
Chikage: I was wondering who was sleeping outside, I knew it was you.
Hisoka: Welcome back.
Chikage: Yeah, I’m home. This tanzaku fell, was it yours?
Hisoka: Yeah. Everyone was decorating their tanzakus for the bamboo over there.
Chikage: I see, it seems that Tanabata is getting closer.
Hisoka: Each person gets one tanzaku, I haven’t come up with mine so you can take it.
Chikage: A wish, eh?
Hisoka: ….
Sakuya: Omi-san said that dinner’s already, let’s finish putting up our wishes!
Citron: I’ll stick mine on the higher place!
Itaru: They say the higher you put your wishes, the better chance of it coming true.
Wait, senpai, since did have you arrive?
Chikage: Just now. After seeing such tall bamboo, I couldn’t help but come over.
Citron: Ah! Are you two also going for the higher space!?
Hisoka: …I’m not.
Chikage: We’ll let you take the highest space, Citron.
Tsuzuru: See, Chikage-san also said it, let’s finish it up quickly. I’ll wrap up my decoration simply…
Masumi: You got one of the characters wrong.
Sakuya: “I want to improve more as a playwright”, Is so fitting for you, Tsuzuru-kun!
But I don’t think there are typos…?
Tsuzuru: “I hope we can achieve whiskery in the Manzai competition” …Wait, isn’t this Citron-san’s!? The typo is terribly written!
Citron: I wanted to add up to Tsuzuru’s wish. With me, we will take top position in the next Manzai Competition!
Itaru: By whiskery, it’s supposed to be “Victory”...
Sakuya: Those letters do look alike!
Masumi: …No it doesn’t.
Tsuzuru: The typo is just implausible…
Chikage: Wouldn’t it be better to rewrite it?
Tsuzuru: Well maybe…But my wish doesn’t seem to have a typo on it, so I think I’ll put it up as it is.
Chikage: Even so, God doesn’t always look at things upfront, and isn't always necessarily willing to fulfill both wishes in that case.
Tsuzuru: When you put it that way, it does make sense…
Chikage: Fortunately, there’s a one tanzaku left for you to use.
Tsuzuru: Isn’t this yours, Chikage-san?
Chikage: It’s fine, I’m still coming up with mine.
Itaru: Senpai, you’re not saying you’re not even intending to write anything, right?
Chikage: How could I? I need to keep up the quota as a member of society, no?
Hisoka: …
Someone worse than me when it comes to writing wishes exists.
※update: changed the title translation for consistency

[ETERNAL GOD] - Haruto Asuka SR Card Story Translation
Ft. Haruto, Madoka, and Shift with cameos from Tsuzuru, Reni, and Oruto
A Playwright's Observation Diary (Haruto Ver.) - Chapter One
Tsuzuru: Right, once again, thanks for collaborating with me on the play. I really appreciated the opportunity.
Madoka: The feeling is mutual. Thank you for everything as well.
Tsuzuru: I wanted to talk more at the closing party, but the atmosphere made me a little tense, so I could barely get my words out as it was.
Tsuzuru: That’s why I’m glad we had a scriptwriter-only party today to celebrate our collab.
Madoka: I agree. I wanted to talk to you as well, so I’m glad we met up again.
Madoka: Like I said at the party…
Madoka: I was able to learn a lot from you while co-writing “Twin Kingdoms," so it ended up being a lot of fun.
Tsuzuru: I wholeheartedly agree. It was a great experience for me too, and I also had a lot of fun during the process.
Tsuzuru: There were so many times you caught me off-guard with your ideas. It was exciting watching you come up with scenes and lines I never would've imagined myself.
Tsuzuru: In the end, I pulled a lot inspiration from you.
Madoka: I thought your contributions were incredible as well.
Madoka: I can only hope to be as good as you someday.
Tsuzuru: Haha, thanks. I'm a little embarrassed to hear that.
Tsuzuru: I hope we can continue to inspire each other as fellow scriptwriters instead.
Madoka: O- of course!
Madoka: Although... I’m just starting out, so I’d like to learn a little more from you if that’s alright.
Madoka: Could I ask you a question?
Tsuzuru: Err, I’m still learning myself, but I'll try to answer it if I can.
Madoka: Ah, thank you so much.
Madoka: So… As an in-house playwright, what do you usually consider when writing a script?
Tsuzuru: Hmm, that’s a good question…
Tsuzuru: If I had to say, I probably think a lot about what each actor’s life is like.
Madoka: All of them?
Tsuzuru: Yeah. The more I know about a person, the more roles and storylines I can come up for them.
Madoka: I see...
[God Troupe Practice Room]
Reni: Alright, let’s begin the practice session.
Troupe Members: Yes sir!
Madoka: (Minagi said that the more I know about an actor, the more inspiration I’ll get, right?)
Madoka: (Hopefully by observing the troupe members during their practices, I’ll learn more about them.)
Madoka: (However, it’s kind of hard to focus on all of them at once. Maybe I should just pick one...)
Madoka: (Today, I’ll focus on…)
Madoka: (Got it! I’ll observe the actor everyone in the God Troupe relies on the most—Asuka Haruto.)
Haruto: For this scene, I think you could incorporate the characters’ relationship into the line delivery a little more.
Troupe Member A: Gotcha, let me try saying this one more time…
Haruto: There you go. Now, let’s discuss the blocking for the next scene…
Madoka: (As always, Haruto is ready to give advice and offer feedback to the other troupe members.)
Madoka: (He’s really become the heart of the God Troupe's practices, how amazing…)
Shift: Haruto! Give me advice too!
Haruto: No.
Shift: Whaaa~ Oh wait! Is it ‘cause I’m so good that there’s nothing for you to say?
Haruto: Don't even think of gettin' cocky with me, ya nitwit.
Troupe Member A: Ahaha!
Troupe Member B: Those two sure get along. Haven't they gotten really close lately?
♡♥♡
Troupe Members: Good work everyone!
Haruto: Hey.
Madoka: Oh, Haruto, that was a good practice session.
Haruto: Just now, it seemed like you were watching me awfully closely. What’s up with that?
Madoka: !
Madoka: I’m really sorry if I bothered you. It’s just... well… recently, I had a talk with Minagi from the Mankai Company and...
Madoka: He told me that in order to write a good script, it was important to observe and understand the actors.
Madoka: That’s why I was sitting in on the troupe's practice today: to get to know everyone better.
Shift: Oh I get it! So it was Haruto’s turn today!
Haruto: Don’t just butt into other people's conversations!
Shift: Anyways! Since today’s practice ended early, the three of us should hang out, so you really get to know him!
Haruto: What.
Madoka: …! Haruto, please let us come with you!
Haruto: D- don't look at me with those puppy-dog eyes.
Haruto: Argh… fine! I get it! You guys can tag along.
Shift: Yes!!
Madoka: Haruto, thank you so much for this.
A Playwright's Observation Diary (Haruto Ver.) - Chapter Two
Shift: Alright! We've achieved the first objective of our mission~ Arriving at the supermarket!
Haruto: What do you mean "our mission"?
Madoka: Umm… what are we doing?
Shift: Hehe, let me explain. One of the older guys in the troupe gave me some takoyaki plates that he didn’t need anymore!
Shift: Oruto loves takoyaki, so we were gonna make some together.
Shift: The catch is... I’ve only made takoyaki a few times before. That’s why, I thought about asking Haruto since he seems like the kinda guy who knows his way around a kitchen.
Haruto: This has nothing to do with Madoka’s observation though…
Shift: Well wait until you hear about this—Our little takoyaki party is officially sponsored!
Madoka: O- officially sponsored?
Shift: After practice, I told Reni about our friendship bonding mission, and he gave me some money for it.
Shift: Mann, I didn’t expect him to do that, but I’m really glad I said something.
Haruto: What!? How shameless are you!?
Shift: But it's for our sake! Reni thought it was a good idea for us to get to know each other better too and gave it his stamp of approval.
Haruto: …! Well, I mean, if Reni said so…
Shift: Alright! "Mission: Make Takoyaki" is a go! Let’s get those ingredients!
Madoka: Yes, we probably should.
Haruto: Jeez, how do I keep getting roped into these things?
Oruto: Whoa, that's amazing! You're really making takoyaki!
Haruto: The dough’s all ready… Now we just need to heat up the takoyaki plates and add a little oil…
Madoka: Wow Haruto, you’re really good at this.
Oruto: And you're doin' it super quick too!!
Haruto: Hey, pass the chopped ingredients over here.
Shift: No problemo! Here they are!
Haruto: What the—When did you have time to buy more ingredients!?
Madoka: Other than the octopus and crunchy tenkasu bits… there’s also cheese, kimchi, pollack roe… corn, bacon and tomatoes, konjac jelly…
Oruto: Ooh, pickled plums and natto too!
Haruto: The octopus and sausages are traditional fillings… but whaddaheck is the rest a’ this junk!
Shift: We’re having a takoyaki party! Trust me, it’ll be more fun this way!
Haruto: You’ve got a lot of nerve putting this shit in front of someone from Kansai…
Shift: It'll be fine, trust me! Let’s start making the takoyaki!
Haruto: Wh- Stop that! Jeez, you really do whatever you want…
Shift: Oruto, Madoka, feel free to fill them with whatever you like too.
Oruto: Gotcha! I'm gonna add this and that~ Then mix it real good!
Madoka: It’s like this, right?
Haruto: You guys too...!? Fine...
Haruto: Have it your way, but you're responsible for eating your own garbage.
♡♥♡
Haruto: I’ve just gotta carefully flip the dough and... There we go.
Shift: Whoa! You’re crazy good at this!
Oruto: Wow!! So cool!
Madoka: They’re so nice and round… Your handiwork is amazing…
Haruto: It's no big deal.
Haruto: Alright, I’ve just about finished, so now all we have to do is add some sauce, a bit of dried seaweed…
Shift: And shake things up a bit!
Haruto: Now what the hell are ya doin'!?
Shift: We're playing Russian Roulette!
Madoka: The takoyaki's all mixed up… We can't tell what's inside what anymore…
Shift: It’s more exciting this way, trust me!
Haruto: Count your days.
Oruto: This smells so good! And it looks super tasty too!
Shift: Alright everyone, hurry up and pick one so we can dig in!
Oruto: Right behind ya!
Madoka: It looks good.
Haruto: Fine… Whatever.
Shift: Hot! Hot! Mmm...Delicious!
Shift: It’s still hot, but the outside is nice and crispy while the inside is all soft and tender. Nice job, Haruto!
Oruto: This tastes amazing! Mine had sausage inside!
Madoka: Hot, hot… But mmm, it really is delicious. Mine was octopus.
Shift: Mine was cheese and pollack roe! They went super well together!
Haruto: …! ...Sour! What is this!? Pickled plums!?
Haruto: It’s not… Inedible at least…
Shift: Ahaha! Haruto, you got it! That one's my fave!
Haruto: The heck are ya puttin’ in these!!
Madoka: They really are delicious though. It is kind of exciting to try them.
Oruto: Yea!
Shift: Alright, next time I’ll be the one to make takoyaki for you! It’ll be my special recipe filled with all kinds of ingredients!
Haruto: Keep it to ya self!
Madoka: Ahaha!
Madoka: (It’s kinda nice seeing Haruto and Shift go at each other like this.)
Madoka: (For the next script, it might be fun to write a comedy scene with Shift throwing curveball after curveball at Haruto.)

★ Main Story | Act 13 - Budding Spring | Chapter 11 - Pause & Pose
Citron: 《It seems that there are no problems regarding this matter.》
Personnel: 《Understood. Well then, there is one more thing I’d like to discuss--.》
Personnel: 《Actually, ever since your activities have become more widely known about to the general public, Citronia-sama, interest in foreign culture and arts has been growing.》
Personnel: 《There is a proposal that the country should take this opportunity to invite performances from abroad.》
Citron: 《I think that’s a wonderful idea. I will talk it over with my father.》
Personnel: 《If that’s the case, I will make putting together a rough outline my number one priority.》
Citron: 《I’ll be keeping an eye out for promising theater companies and other groups on my end.》
Personnel: 《Thank you very much for doing so. I will have a rough outline ready in time for the International Arts Festival, so please wait until then.》
Citron: 《Regarding that… please put the status of my attendance on hold due to scheduling circumstances.》
Personnel: 《Would you like someone else to attend in your place? His Majesty also said that this would be a good opportunity to promote Zahra to places abroad…》
Citron: 《No, if we do participate, I would be the person most suited for it… but I’m currently tied up with some other things. Please just give me some time.》
Personnel: 《Understood.》

Shop Worker: Welcome. Please take a seat anywhere.
Tsuzuru: …
Syu: Oh, would you look at that, if it ain’t Minagi-sensei.
Tsuzuru: Huh--.
Tsuzuru: (I never would’ve expected to see Otomiya-san in a coffee shop like this, it’s like seeing an animal in the wrong environment… Like a bar would make sense, but here?)
Syu: I ain’t out drinkin’ all the time, y’know.
Tsuzuru: (Busted…)
Syu: You alone? Come ‘n hang out with me for a bit.
Tsuzuru: Ah, well, if you insist…
Tsuzuru: (He even acts like we’re in a bar.)
Syu: Damn, that Yukio’s really done it again.
Tsuzuru: Huh?
Syu: The Fleur Award.
Syu: This is Yukio we’re talkin’ about, so I bet he’s all “Theater is the best” and “It’s more fun when everyone’s aiming to win the Fleur Award ♪”
Syu: He probably hasn’t even stopped to think about all the people who got caught up in this and now can’t tell left from right in the confusion.
Tsuzuru: Haha…
Tsuzuru: (I’m really starting to feel like I’m one of those people…)
Syu: So, how are things goin’ for you? Figure out what you’re gonna do to win?
Tsuzuru: Ah, we’re thinking of doing sequels for our debut performances…
Syu: You don’t say. That sounds pretty interestin’.
Tsuzuru: It’s just, this is my first time writing a sequel, so I’m having a lot of trouble trying to figure out how to make it work and what kinds of things people are expecting from me. I’ve got a huge weight on my pen, so to speak.
Syu: Why can’t ya just keep doin’ what you’re doin’? Doesn’t the fact that you chose to do sequels to your debut performances show that you’ve got some kinda determination?
Tsuzuru: Well, I mean, I guess so.
Syu: Well, if you’re in need of some more help--.
Tsuzuru: ?
Syu: …Ever heard of a director named Akazaki?
Tsuzuru: Oh, I have. Isn’t he pretty famous?
Syu: He’s a director and a playwright, and every few years he runs a scriptwriting camp to train the younger generations.
Syu: He’s doin’ it again this year and asked me if I knew of any promising young talent.
Syu: I was actually gonna recommend you, Minagi-sensei, but I decided against it ‘cause I figured you’d be too busy for it.
Tsuzuru: A scriptwriting camp… those actually exist?
Syu: Playwrights who have participated in it in the past have done things like won theater awards overseas and have been selected to work on major dramas, so it’s got a proven track record.
Tsuzuru: I’ve never done anything like that before, so I’m really, really interested.
Tsuzuru: But considering that the results for the first quarter are gonna be announced in three months, I don’t know if I’d have the time for it…
Tsuzuru: (I’m pretty attracted to new challenges, but given the timing, I feel like I’ve gotta hold back on this one.)
Tsuzuru: I’ll definitely want to participate whenever the next one happens.
Syu: Got it. I’ll keep ya posted for when that time comes.
Syu: And like I said before, I think you’re doin’ fine as is, Minagi-sensei.
Syu: If you’re goin’ back to the basics, let your past self teach ya about ‘em within the script for your debut performance.
Syu: Think about what it is you wanna write about. It’s pretty easy to find that sorta thing in your first work.
Syu: Writin’ what you wanna write is one of the upsides to workin’ for a specific theater. This sequel’s somethin’ that only you can create, Minagi-sensei.
Syu: Do what you want whenever ya get the chance. Before it gets to a point where ya wanna read somethin’ but can’t.
Tsuzuru: --.
Tsuzuru: (...Right. He can’t read any more of Hakkaku-san’s sequels.)
Tsuzuru: (And if it weren’t for the changes in the Fleur Award system, we might’ve never brought up the idea of doing sequels to begin with.)
Tsuzuru: (Blindly clinging to the opportunities put in front of me. That’s how I did things back during RomiJuli.)
Tsuzuru: (Thinking it could’ve been both my first and last chance, I was willing to do anything and everything I possibly could.)
Tsuzuru: (That’s why now, I--.)

if tsuzuru proposes to itaru, it’ll be in one of their beds, tucked safely under the covers, with tsuzuru clasping both their hands in between them, holding them close to their hearts, whispering his love to itaru because he’s the only one who needs to hear it. tsuzuru feels sorry that he can’t afford a ring or a grand proposal for itaru, but itaru tells him he doesn’t even need it, not when being with tsuzuru is more than he could ever ask for. (though a ring would keep everyone at the office from flirting with him, he supposes. let ‘em know he’s already taken by the most amazing fiancée ever and all that. tsuzuru just huffs a laugh and promises him one someday.)
if itaru proposes to tsuzuru, it’ll be during sunset at a scenic overlook, most likely at a cliff overlooking the sea or a grove of cherry blossoms. for all that itaru says he hates the outdoors, he thinks that tsuzuru at least deserves a proposal he could write a play about. he chooses two different rings for both of them respectively; one shaped like a sword and the other like a pen, both wrapped into a simple band. itaru plans every single thing down to the most minute detail to ensure that everything goes perfectly, but as soon as he glances over to tsuzuru’s profile practically glowing in the sunset, he’s on one knee before he even knows it, stammering out what little he remembers of his preplanned speech. tsuzuru doesn’t mind— even as a playwright, he’s no stranger to having words fail him— and luckily for him, when he sees the velvet box come out of itaru’s pocket, there’s only one simple word he needs to say.

Because I will be here forever if I do all of them, I'll just do spring troupe as they are my oshi troupe.
🌸Spring🌸
First impression Sakuya: You look like a good boy. Now: You are so strong Sakuya, this is why you are A3! poster boy.
First impression Masumi: Haha, it's the modern day reincarnation of Napoleon Bonaparte from Ikemen Vampire. Post act 1: I don't know if I like you, but you are an interesting character. Now: Masumi is now a uni sophomore and he's starting to learn what love means to him and is accepting the `fact that Izumi might not like him back but it's alright. ;-;
First impression Tsuzuru: A uni freshman wanting to be a playwright? Heck yeah, aspiring playwrights stick together. Now: This man can basically become a psychologist at this point with how direct his observational skills are, he's practically on par with Sakuya and Chikage on reading people and that scares me /pos
First impression Itaru: Oh, a pretty boy CEO with a secret gamer hobby? Eeeh, I can work with it, I guess. Now: As a functioning adult who also games, I have major respect for you, Itaru. Now time to read more itaru fics and see how his characterization changes for the nth time.
First impression Citron: Ehhhhhhhhhhh Now: Words cannot describe how much of a gentleman he is. He is so, SO good at Japanese that he can quite literally make wordplay easy enough for people to catch on and he still comes off as a mood maker. He is another gamer adult, both in virtual and in table games. He is royalty inside and out, he is a good big brother, ZAFRAGUMI MY BELOVED and even with all the emotional baggage he carries he still manages to be the mom of spring troupe and do it with a comedic smile in this essay I will-
First impression Chikage: You are sus. Meta first impression: *Insert many lighthearted rage-induced sessions of Chikage appearing in my gacha and locking me out of other cards, and avoiding me when I did wanted him to come home.* By the end of EN: After reading all of your cards and your events... I think I can respect you as a character. Now: I love his current character development and now the charlatan moments are endearing to me. There, I said it. Now time to pul-- OH COME ON. /lh
Mankai March question 9!
Happy birthday to the love of my life, Sakuya Sakuma!! Since he was the first actor in the troupe and one of the first characters we meet, let’s talk first impressions! What were your first impressions of the cast? Or just your oshi? Are they different from now, or more or less the same?
