DAY 5796 दिन ५७९६
Jalsa, Mumbai Dec 30/31, 2023 Sat/Sun 1:21 AM
Birthday - EF Nandita Kao .. Pankaj Purohit .. Manish Sevalal Tiwari .. Sunday, 31 December ..
Birthday - Ef Shrikant Deshmukh Sunday, 31 December ..
all the wishes for this day and may all ever remain well and in prosperity .. from the Family Ef ..
❤️
🌹
Finally a reprieve from the routine of the lethargic constituent to one that has tried to keep consistency .. and here in its manifestation we are .. true to the age old post postponed postage ..
😂
So postponement .. in the minds and words of the AI literate world :
Postponement, a temporal pause echoing life’s unpredictability, offers respite or anxiety. It yields opportunity for reflection, reevaluation, or preparation amid shifting circumstances. Sometimes a strategic maneuver, postponement grants a chance to refine plans or adapt to unforeseen hurdles. Yet, it can also breed uncertainty, delaying progress and instigating doubts. Embraced wisely, it nurtures patience, unveiling unforeseen possibilities or enhancing outcomes. However, frequent deferral risks inertia, challenging momentum and commitment. Postponement’s impact resonates beyond mere delay, influencing decisions, altering paths, and shaping the course of events, exemplifying the delicate balance between seizing the moment and yielding to time's sway.
'unpredictability' was the only catch word in this assessed assessment .. for, are all not in the same shooting range, of unpredictable dictions .. !??
consternation .. each effort is now an exercise to how to decorate the store, so it sells its stuff amicably and with commercial gain .. the usual game has lost its bearings .. foul upon yellow red card and all in the sundry .. penalties successful too .. and the ball boy has left the job to be at the doors of individual chapter games .. more time more remunerative .. the seeking is at its prime , in the alternate way ..
It was from us to them .. now from them to us .. the mill blades rotate furiously and with utter modesty and speed strike up a conversation that , in all honesty is completely one sided .. jai ho !
the Ogre has lost its heads - once a terror of fear and anxiety, now a mild foppish listless snail of existence ..
the heads no longer heads .. nor tails .. the coin has just refused to drop back to the ground of tossed gamesmanship .. no side decisions, no hand shake with the watchers , no exchange of momento flags .. nothing .. it's just that kneel prior, against the common victim, of humiliation and authority ..
game on .. and there are no keepers to the squared brackets of resulting scores , loaded by nets of networking results .. play on and hope that the goals are indeed scored .. else the 5th non exists ..

Manish Goel... Not just an actor!!
18th April, 2023 I Richa Devesar I FilmyPeople
A young boy who was always bullied by his peers for his looks and dark complexion back in school had his eyes filled with dream of becoming, not just an actor, but, HERO. All these odds never discouraged him to follow his dream so after completing his schooling, he straightaway landed in Mumbai to chase the passion he always had. Ex-India Cricketer Lalchand Rajput Appointed UAE Head Coach
ICC Cricket World Cup League: Former Indian cricketer Lalchand Rajput has been appointed the new head coach of UAE men’s team for a three-year period. Rajput, who played two Tests and four ODIs for India from 1985 to 1987, will be taking over from interim head coach Mudassar Nazar. Rajput, 62, was the manager of the MS Dhoni-captained Indian team winning the inaugural men’s T20 World Cup in 2007 in South Africa and was the head coach of Mumbai Indians in the inaugural edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008. He also coached Afghanistan from 2016 to 2017, a period where the side notably received their Test-playing status. Rajput also served as Zimbabwe men's head coach from 2018 to 2022. "I want to thank the Emirates Cricket Board for appointing me for this exciting role. UAE has emerged as one of the stronger Associate Members in recent years and the players have put in some good performances in both ODIs and T20Is. The current batch is exceptionally talented and I look forward to working with them and further harnessing their cricket skills. "I am confident that the boys buoyed by their exposure to top quality cricket and practice facilities here in Dubai will continue to prosper, UAE cricket has a very bright future and my goal would be to make the team perform more consistently and take them to the next level which I am very confident they are fully capable of," said Rajput in a statement. His first assignment as UAE’s new head coach will be the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 ODI tri-series being hosted by the side with Scotland and Canada as the other participants. The tri-series begins on February 28, following which UAE will host Scotland for three T20Is next month. Last year, UAE failed to make the cut for the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup after losing to Nepal in the semi-finals of the Asia-Pacific qualifying event. "We are delighted to announce the appointment of Lalchand Rajput as UAE men’s head coach. Rajput has a proven track record and has done an exceptional job as a coach for various national and domestic teams around the world. We are confident that under his coaching UAE men’s cricket will flourish further. "I also want to take this opportunity to thank Mudassar Nazar for his stellar work as the interim head coach. 4 Tips For Managing Blue Collar Workers
4 Tips For Managing Blue Collar Workers
If you are in a position of supervising peons, drivers, housekeepers in an office, you may often face difficulty, or a mental block, managing blue collar workers. This is especially true if you are younger than them. But, you cannot avoid interactions with them as a lot of the office work depends directly or indirectly on them. So, how to strike a balance between managing them so that you get their best performance?
The First Tip for managing blue collar workers
One of the first things to remember in your interactions with blue collared staff is that there must be mutual respect between you and the staff. This is irrespective of the work they have to do. Remember that though they are not customer facing. The customer-facing staff depend on them for a lot of work, which in turn impacts their work for the customers. Tea, photocopying, office cleaning, your desk cleaning, bank work, other errands - What would we do without them? So, respect them for enabling you to work well.
Everyone works better if they are respected. So, if you are on first name terms with housekeeping staff, peons, add a “ji” after their name. Explain to them how people will refer to them and how they should refer to people. Set the protocol in place. My advice: Do not call anyone uncle or aunty. Just add a “ji” after their name. This will allow you to maintain your authority and you will still be respected for the respect you give.
Say please, thank you, sorry, where ever needed. These really are the magic words. Don’t use degrading or insulting words with your blue collared staff, just as you would not with others. As much as possible, don’t raise your voice. Correct firmly but not angrily/rudely.
The second tip for managing blue collared workers
You should make their job roles clear right at the beginning. Make the extent of their work clear to them. Make a to-do list for them, along with the time by when it should be done, if applicable. Put it up where they can readily refer to it. In the beginning, you can also help them tick off the work done, daily by putting a smiley against their duties completed well. This will give them the satisfaction of doing a job well. A list ensures that nothing is left in a gray zone, there are no assumptions and the Helper has no excuse to leave anything out.
The Tip Number 3 for managing blue collar workers
Next, emphasize the importance of their work in terms of the larger picture. They will function better if they are made to feel that their roles were important.Make them know that they have a part to play in the smooth running of the office. It is a major thing to keep the office looking clean, keeping the staff well cared for, taking good care of guests, and so on. There’s nothing inferior about it. Peons, housekeeping staff, Field staff are like the backbone of an organization. Make them understand that.
Without being rude or arrogant, explain to them that everybody in the office is paid to do their jobs. If anyone falls short of that expectation, there are bound to be consequences. Explain these consequences in the beginning only: What happens if work is not done in time, what happens if they are late for work and so on? Explain the impact of this on others as well as on their career. For example: If the housekeeping staff does not wipe the washroom dry, someone may fall and be hurt. And, they may lose their job. Or if the office boy is late for work, everyone will get their tea late, and they may have to miss their own break time.
Do not allow them to take you for a ride for fear of what you will do if they leave you. Today it is easy to hire housekeeping staff, office boys, drivers, delivery staff not only in cities like Mumbai, Delhi but also smaller town like Jaipur, Noida, Ghaziabad. Just check out the online services which allow you to connect directly with the Job Seekers. They don’t even cost much and offer opportunities for immediate hiring of staff with verification.
Tip Number 4 for managing blue collar workers
Next tip is: Find ways to make them confident about their jobs. Praise and encourage them publicly when they do something well. The tea can be very good, the washroom may be smelling really nice, someone may have replaced the toilet paper in time and so on. Sometimes, choosing to overlook the mistakes and flaws and magnify the good things. If you need to talk about the mistakes, do it in private. That is the key to managing blue collared workers, just like it is with anyone else.
While you are their supervisor, be their friend too (though not a buddy). Make it clear that they can approach you if there is a problem. But, also ensure that they follow all rules, else they get pulled up. Establish boundaries right at the start to be successful in managing your workers well.

Latest Trends in Maternity Photoshoot
Just a few decades ago, it was uncommon for women to have their pregnancy photographed. There were social taboos surrounding the idea of photographing pregnant women, and it was primarily viewed as a formal affair with no space for spontaneity. However, things have changed for the better, and more and more women are embracing the idea of capturing their pregnancy through photographs.
A maternity shoot takes place in the 7th or rarely 8th month of pregnancy, as it is one of the most comfortable times for the mother to prepare for a professional photo shoot. In this time, the mother will look and feel more confident about her appearance, and the shape of the belly would be just perfect for an inspiring picture.
In the last post, on The Growing Popularity of Maternity Photography we discussed the reasons Why Maternity Photography is a Growing Trend. This post talks about the latest trends in Maternity photo shoot.
Maternity Shoots in the Studio
Location is one of the most important aspects for a great shoot. Maternity photoshoot in the outdoor locations is a bit challenging task. That’s why trend of shooting maternity photography in the specially designed open-air studios is picking up now-a-days. There are studio locations available which are equipped with everything that is required for a shoot – multiple themed sets, props, make-up rooms, washrooms, support staff and what not. One such trending studio is Cine City, which is located at Bhiwandi, at an hours’ distance from Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai. Cine City has 35+ beautifully designed sets and backdrops. Check out their insta page or website https://www.cinecitystudio.com for more details.
Professional Photography
Hiring a professional photographer is the key element for any shoot. While choosing a photographer, it is important to ensure that the photographer knows the job well. Discuss your preferences, ideas, and expectations with your photographer beforehand. This will help them understand your vision and capture the shots you desire.
Cinematic Video
As it is well said- photo is a frozen moment, whereas video is a live moment. Hence, along with maternity photography, Cinematic video shoot trends now-a-days. For cinematic video production scriptwriting, storyboard creation, scene composition, shooting, editing, and post-production tasks are done. Moreover, with the increased social media usage, people also prefer shooting reels and short videos.
AI-generated Video: A New Realm
AI-generated video production is the process of creating videos using artificial intelligence. In this method, various AI technologies are used to automate different aspects of video production. AI generated video production is a future trend and people are excited to get their AI-generated maternity shoots.
Maternity Dresses
As the outfits plays crucial role in every shoot, hiring Maternity Gowns for the shoot is also very common. Ruffle gowns, tail gowns and ball gowns are often rented. There are many rental dress providers from where you can rent out such gowns. Cine City studio also has a wide collection of such dresses which you can rent out at the studio itself.
Other dressing themes can be casuals, couple t-shirts (with the text like Pink or Blue, Mommy Loves You), white-on-white dressing theme or some traditional look like saree and basic kurta pyjama.
Maternity Props
Props are also important element for the shoot and there are many maternity props one can use. It can be a slate with some writing like Boy or Girl?, Mom-to-be sash, Baby Shoes, Baby Dress, Danglers, Sun board Sheets with some message, etc. One can either purchase or rent out props. As an offering, Cine City provides maternity props in their package itself.
Showcasing Sonograms
Many couples prefer to show off the sonogram snap of their baby in the maternity photo shoot. The sonogram will be mindfully placed on top of the belly signifying the arrival of the baby. It’s really meaningful and touching as sonogram is the actual image of their baby.
The Gift
Tying a ribbon around the belly and stating that the baby is a gift from heaven is one particular trend that does not fade away with time. It is a way to signify that the gift should not be opened until its due date.
In essence, Maternity photography has become a growing trend as women embrace the beauty of their changing bodies and the new life growing inside them. Through photographs, women can celebrate the fact that motherhood begins long before a baby is born. It is a way to capture the joy and anticipation of the arrival of a new family member. With the latest trends in maternity photography, women can choose from a wide range of options to make their photo shoots unique and unforgettable.

518 Expanded Lore ⤵
(This is all still a work in progress)
Ishaan/Ishana
[x] [x]
Screen name: AgeOfAutonomy
Isha is a VR artist in the 2070s, living in Germany with his boyfriend Sig. He's bigender, and goes by Ishaan and he/him on boy days and Ishana and she/her on girl days.
He was born into a lower class family in Mumbai. After being disowned by his family for being transgender as a teenager, he dove into trans activism, and then pro-augmentation activism from there. Already having some skill with computers, he made money doing tech repair and built himself a cheap machine out of spare parts to do activist art on in his free time.
He met Aashvi when she was holding a pro-augmentation rally in the city, during the early days of her activism. She recognized his screen name from art he'd done in support of her, which only solidified his obsession with her and her work.
He later met Sig online due to his many comments about his distrust towards "robots" - which Isha felt compelled to correct. (Augmented people are not robots!) This led to them arguing over DMs, which led to actual productive conversion and the two becoming friends. (Sig did not stop leaving bait comments, though.)
After a lot of applying, she got a grant for "promising artists in poverty" that sponsored her visa and gave her access to a VR studio based out of a physical studio in Germany. The studio was so close to Sig's apartment that it only made sense for her to move in, at least temporarily. They started dating not soon after, and she never moved out.
Isha makes the majority of her money selling 3D models that people could use as part of their avatars in a popular immersive VR game. She primarily makes true to life copies of irl augmentations, copying the intricate details of different models of various limbs and body parts that people may have, so they can represent themselves accurately. (The available defaults are... limited.) The rest comes from selling other kinds of art, both as in-VR sculptures and as holographic versions that can be displayed in real life.
Despite all of her work on models for it, she doesn't play the VR game recreationally, and only really uses it as a place to sculpt.
//
Sigmund
[x] [x]
Screen name: 3rio
Sig is a relatively private guy living in a big city in Germany. He doesn't trust most people or things. He has a work from home job that he's automated entirely, so he doesn't have to actually do anything on a day to day basis. He spends the bulk of his free time gaming online, or hanging out with Isha.
He's addicted to Trio, a coffee / meal replacement / energy drink combo that's been banned in several countries. They're only sold out of official vending machines, and the colors are both randomized and considered collectable. He has shelves and shelves of cans in every color in the rainbow, but the pink ones are his favorite.
He's largely distrustful of and uncomfortable with augmentation and tends to get into petty arguments about "robots" online, which is how he met Isha. No matter how blatantly baiting his comments got, he'd take him seriously and reply with in depth information, links to sources, and too much sincerity. This won him over. Though he never really stopped teasing him about his "robot wife" (Aashvi) (Not a robot, not his wife.)
He doesn't trust VR either, so the only games he plays are ones he can play online in the usual way. He spends a lot of his time online with Kousei, which Isha certainly doesn't need to know about.

Aashvi
[x] [partner's art, not posted online]
Aashvi is a radical pro-augmentation activist, working to expand safe and affordable access to both medical and "recreational" augmentation on a global scale. She is the loudest voice in the movement by far.
She was born into a relatively wealthy family in Mumbai. When she needed a lot of surgical intervention as a child to survive, she was taken out of the country to specialists who could help her. She continued to get more augmentation work done as she aged and her medical problems progressed. Angry that this was available to her and not to others who might have the same needs but no resources, she started to pour her time into her activism.
She advocates for complete bodily autonomy and the legalization and regulation of human augmentations of all kinds, regardless of why someone is seeking it out. She started out holding small rallies in the city and spreading her message online, which eventually took off with the help of people like Isha. Her impact and activism grew as she spent time in other countries, doing research and talking to people impacted by a lack of access or by poorly regulated markets, although it continues to be heavily debated in most areas.

Screen name: kouseidou (play on his name + 正道 / seidou / "path of righteousness; correct path")
Kousei is an anti-augmentation activist from Japan. He is a full time wheelchair user without the funds or the desire to "fix" his body, despite the people around him insisting that augmentation would make his life easier.
He does most of his activism online, due to accessibility issues locally. He has a very popular social media presence, which he uses to spread his message. He feels that the push for more augmentation leaves out people like him, and leads to worse accessibility and support for those who don't want to augment their bodies to meet other people's standards.
Like Aashvi, he's made his name a part of his branding and will tag it stylized on pro-augmentation art or in public places in VR. He's vandalized Isha's publicly displayed artwork more than once.
He makes most of his money playing games online, by selling the in-game currency for actual money. A significant amount of that in-game money comes from Sig.

It’s over to women now
Yeh toh bas shuruaat hai!
India stormed the cricketing world by launching the IPL in 2007-08 on a T20 model. What was an experiment of sorts became a success story. In January ’23, India scripted history by winning the Women’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Cricket is a religion that every little boy of India follows. The movies Lagaan, 83, MS Dhoni - The Untold Story, etc. are proof enough.
I witnessed the launch of the Women's Premier League at Mumbai on 4 March. What has been a boy’s game, in every gali, mohalla, nukkad etc. of India, has been taken by storm by the fairer sex! And what a launch!
Girl Power was evident right from the entry gate. The security was being womaned (not manned) by energetic young girls. They looked elated as they welcomed and wrist-banded us at the South Pavilion Lounge of the Stadium. Girls dressed in four colours graced the pitch for the inaugural ceremony. Kiara Advani gave a scintillating performance, followed by Kriti Sanon. A stream of girls escorted in, the singer AP Dhillon. It is one thing to say that girls should get their due share, but it’s another thing to make it real. This is really walking the talk!
BCCI secretary, Jay Shah, along with wife and daughter, beamed with pride as his dream project kick-started with a fireworks display, cheering, dancing and loads of excitement.
The Gujarat Giants won the toss and chose to bowl. The Mumbai Indians ruled the pitch and batted magic! Punjab girl Harmanpreet of Mumbai Indians hit 14 fours and garnered an impressive 65 runs off 30 balls. The Mumbai Indians won by 143 runs.
I may not understand cricket too much, but am impressed by the grit to create this gigantic platform for young lady aspirants to showcase their skill and passion for the game. Not only that; this would bring opportunities for women coaches, selectors, physiotherapists, managers, yoga instructors, dieticians to name a few.
Coordinating the humungous infra and commitment to pull off an endeavour of this stature is no mean feat. In an era where AI is replacing humans in more ways than one and we fear the dearth of job opportunities, here is something that is creating jobs galore and providing entertainment for many more.
Youngsters who indulge in smoking up or drug abuse are those who are disillusioned, directionless or misguided. Sports gives direction to the energy and passion of many young adults. Everyone may not become a cricketer but there are many who would find livelihood in this new world.
As these thoughts reeled through my head, Harmanpreet hit yet another four; the band played the WPL Anthem, ‘Yeh toh bas shuruaat hai!’, and the crowd went into a frenzy!
What a gift to young eves on the eve of Women’s Day! Sri Sathya Sai Baba says, “Life is a game, Play it. Life is a dream, Realise it!”
And why not? Way to go girls! Looking forward to many more!
